🔸The Girl In The Audience
by Patrick Lemieux
The band had agreed prior to this to allow the company Mobilevision to film them in concert. The resulting film would be toured by the company for paying audiences. Two special concerts were planned for November 24th and 25th for The Forum in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. 19 year old Sarah Bernard had no idea that attending the concerts would result in her being immortalized on film.
“I attended both nights for the Montreal shows, and was fortunate enough to be up front both nights,” says Sarah, “My sister Cathy and her friend Christian Giddings got three tickets for both nights and invited me to go, as they knew I was a fan, so I was lucky in that sense.”
Sarah goes on to explain, “I had been a Queen fan since the mid-1970s, when I received my first Queen album. It was Sheer Heart Attack, and it was given to me as a gift. I would often listen to certain songs and associate them with certain memories in my mind, and listening to Killer Queen always reminded me of the first time I played the album and broke in my record player at my best friend’s house. The album that I played the most in the ‘70s, however, was probably A Day at the Races. I had seen Queen two times before the Montreal shows.
At the Montreal shows, Sarah was able to make her way to a priceless spot perfect for taking pictures. "I’m sure there were reserved spots up front for professional photographers and media people outside of the film crew, but most people around me were simply fans,” she says.
Throughout the concert film, which is edited together from both nights, Sarah can be glimpsed center stage in the audience, occasionally taking pictures. Unfortunately, she no longer has the photos she took at the shows. Sarah says, “They were not the greatest quality, but I was proud of them.”
Of the band’s performance, Sarah says of Freddie, “I recall thinking that he made it very hard to NOT watch him. He was a wonderful performer, and I was reminded of how incredibly he commanded the stage. It had been a few years since I’d seen them last, and I’d forgotten what a force he really was up there. In the two shows I’d seen before, I was not as close to the stage, but I was still enchanted by how he worked the crowd. It really was like he held us all in the palm of his hand. Like we were being manipulated, and we loved it! A feeling I’ve felt with very few other acts. Brian and Roger were just as swift and amazing as I’d remembered from the previous shows. Watching Roger drum was almost hypnotic! John always seemed like the quiet and reserved type in photos and magazines, but live on stage, he always shined!”
Sarah goes on to recall, “Towards the end of the first show, I had spent some time trying to get their attention for a wave or a smile, and I made eye contact with John who nodded at me and returned my smile, which made my night even better! I also remember getting goosebumps during a few numbers both nights and even in the two previous shows I’d seen. Most notably during, ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’!”
At the end of “Love Of My Life,” the cameras captured a truly moving moment in Sarah’s reaction as she stands still and glassy-eyed amid the erupting audience around her. She remembers what was going through her mind in that moment, “Every time I heard ‘Love of My Life’, I felt a bit emotional. I had fallen in love with a man who I truly saw a future with, and who used to play a few songs to serenade me while we were dating. ‘Love of My Life’ was one of those songs, and both nights I can remember feeling like I was on the verge of very happy tears just thinking about my love. He was on my mind and in my heart at the time I was being filmed.”
Sarah didn’t know she specifically had been filmed in her moment of quiet reflection, “We did see the cameras at the shows, but I never really noticed them facing me. I assumed they were filming the crowd as a mass of people.”
“Those were my last two shows with Freddie”

I hope this isn't too inappropriate a question, but I was wondering if you have any advice when it comes to binders? Like, I know a lot of the minutia, but are there any companies you recommend that make good ones? I'm new to the whole actually-doing-it part and I've found conflicting stuff so I though it was better to ask someone who went through that whole thing already. Tbh I don't know anything about your transition and you might not have even did much of that but you're like the main transguy I know
No worries at all!! I'm really comfortable talking about trans stuff and what I've had to do to get where I am, so if you have any other questions please don't hesitate to toss 'em my way and I'll do my best to help out. The only major trans stuff I haven't done yet are any surgeries and changing my name/legal gender marker (pain in the ass to do in Ohio....).
I got kinda lucky and don't really have much boob tissue going on so I don't bind very often, but I do have two GC2B binders: a full tank and a half one. The full one is a lot more comfortable, imo, because I can tuck it into my pants and it kinda like smooths my entire situation out instead of squishing just my upper body and chafing under my ribcage lol. Unfortunately, GC2B's binder quality has dropped BAD in the last 5 years or so. If you can get one for free or dirt cheap then it might be worth it, but otherwise I'd avoid them.
One of my other trans masc buddies has some binders from Underworks that he really likes. He used to have one of the GC2B ones and it got a huge hole right in the middle of it after less than a year... As far as I know, his Underworks ones are still holding up and it's been over two years now. He did say that they were pretty stiff when they first came in and that washing them with just a tiny bit of fabric softener helped. Be careful using too much fabric softener on them though or they'll loosen up maybe too far. Here's their site: https://www.underworks.com/tri-top-chest-binder
I've seen people say Shapeshifter's binders are good too, though I don't personally know anyone who has one by them. They're a lot more expensive than the Underworks binders.... Here's their site: https://shapeshifters.co/
Make sure you read the sizing charts!!! The very first binder I ever bought was WAAAAYYYYY too small because I didn't read the chart very well... I've found that following the chart and then going up one or two sizes fits the best, depending on how big your chest is/how much compression you'll need.
Here's a big spreadsheet document of a lot of other trans resources with comments on specific things for each site too, like where they're based, shipping details (if the packaging is discrete or not, etc), if they're a charity, and so on. There are other binder websites listed and sites for other gender affirming clothing and packers and stuff too: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1lSKoxVant40alYL-MZAP9QekUxjl3mH2EB3MidSk0b8/edit#gid=0
There's also this post with even more resources, but it might be a bit overwhelming going through it all right now haha Including it anyway just in case: https://solradguy.tumblr.com/post/719033735814742016
Good luck!! I hope you're able to find one that both fits and is comfortable to wear for long periods ^^

heyy!! i would like to request a dating sam giddings (until dawn) hc, or dating poly!sam and emilly (until dawn) hc
a love like this
Tumblr media
sam x reader x emily headcanons
contains: fluff, some angst because until dawn (mentions of dissapearing and death)
a/n: my 2nd resquest and its also poly this is my brand and im not mad. trying to rush this on halloween night bc im sad i could release the sam x reader x mike in time :,) but enjoy this anyway and happy halloween everyone <333
you met emily and sam in elementary school; you were being bullied by some older kids until emily came up to them yelling and calling them jerks and other expletives while sam crouched near you and made sure you were okay.
when sam was putting one of her favotite duck bandaids on your knee and emily was smiling and winking at you while the teacher was scolding her, you knew in your heart these girls were special.
throughout the years you were as thick as thieves, not just with them but the whole group.
youd all go on adventures together and just enjoy each others company
but your favorite times were always when josh, beth, and hannah's parents let you all stay at the lodge.
the first time they left you all there unsupervised was when you were 15 and god did you have a blast.
there were numerous snowball fights and you always teamed up with sam
she was a more gentle person at heart but jeez could that girl throw.
after winning she would look at you with this bright smile on her face and hug you so tight it was almost like you couldnt breathe, and the funny feeling in your stomach didnt help.
emily invited you skiing with her and even personally taught you how, moving your arms and legs into the right positions and complimenting you when you did a run correctly. whenever she called you "amazing" or "the best skiier she's ever seen", that funny feeling from sam would return.
it was only late one night in your lodge room when you realized that you were in love with both of them.
you told jess about it and she started freaking out before seeing the worried look on your face, reassuring you that she and everyone else would support you, even saying she had the suspicion that they liked you as well.
but you had to admit that you were scared. you were all 17 and 18 and senior year was drawing to a close. after graduation you'd all be seperated to not very far but still different colleges and it scared you.
so, with pushing and prodding from jess and ash, you decided to tell them during the trip to celebrate graduation, with josh throwing a small party.
but a "little bit of liquid courage, ash" turned into you and josh on the couch plastered and asleep.
it wasnt until you felt someones hands shaking you that you woke up to see sams near delusional face asking you for help looking for beth and hannah in the woods.
things were never the same after that weekend.
after learning about the prank you were devastated. depsite your combined efforts you and even the authorities werent able to find the twins, almost like they vanished into thin air.
but you were also furious. you had a huge falling out with the ones who did the prank after you criticized them for what felt like hours.
you nearly got into a screaming match with jess after she told you that this was her idea to let hannah know to stay away from mike, who she then revealed was going out with emily.
your words paused, and when you looked over at em her eyes wouldnt meet yours.
you didnt talk much after that.
trying to forget what happened you threw yourself into your schoolwork, doing well in your classes and getting new hobbies and new friends. but late at night youd still think of the looks on emilys and sams face that night.
speaking of sam, you still kept in contact with her, (including josh, chris, ashley and matt), although it wasnt quite like before.
emily tried calling you but stopped after seeing you werent going to pick up anytime soon.
life was just...life.
until you got the invitation from josh to come up again and reconnect.
you had to admit that you missed your girls friends, so you packed your warm clothes, booked your tickets, and made your way back to blackood pines.
lets just say it was a rough night.
first you met back up with sam, going with her and chris on the lift and easily reconnecting. then you all met back in the house before an argument between jess and emily ensued, which then got your roped in when you tried to break it up.
wanting to talk more with emily, you went with her out into the snow to continue talking which led to you running for your lives from a damn monster, then learning that one of these monsters was actualy fucking hannah and what actually happened to her and beth a year ago...
when you felt your back hit the ground from the blast of the lodge exploding, all you could think was is this how im gonna go? without telling the loves of my life how i feel?
speak of the devils and they shall appear for you felt four hands rapidly propping you up, both of them talking over each other until you giggled to yourself and admitted your feelings.
"this better not be your probable concussion talking because i swear to god y/n-"
emilys words made you laugh and lean into her neck, feeling her tightly wrap her arms around you before sam joined in, admitting how they felt the same for you and had been wanting to confess for a while.
"wait, if you've liked us for years why did you date mike? i mean him? really"
"i just saved your ass, l/n. at least be a little grateful."
feeling blissful at you and your friends being together after surviving the worst night of your life, you barely notice as sam holds your head steady to look at her and make sure you didnt have an actual concussion as emily yells at the incoming paramedics to help you.
some things never change.

Laura Kearney x Max Brinly
1. Binky bonky
2. Laura is so protective about Max, just best gf ever
3. I think Laura's main motivation throughout the majority of the game being to break the curse on her boyfriend is SO good. The devotion here is so real. I love their silly old person pet names. Max wearing his girlfriend's clothes is also great. The scene where they reunite is SO good. This one's probably my favorite canon Supermassive ship I just completely buy that these two care about each other, want the best for each other, and enjoy each others' company.
Sam Giddings x Jessica Riley
1. Sam is protective, so seeing Jess all messed up like that would be angst central for them. Maybe they live together after the mountain because they can't bear to be alone after what happened, and while Sam comforting Jess is an easy idea to get, Jess can comfort Sam just as much - after all, nobody left the mountain unscathed. There's just so much comfort potential with them, recovery and trying to move on from trauma leading to... something more. Where they weren't friends before, now there's something that could've only sparked after being traumabonded like that.
2. go blondes go!! and i see Sam comforting Jess and helping her with bandages and reminding her that she’s still pretty with those scars she has. poor Jess just needs support

Swaddled in his coat, the thick fur collar wreathed around her head and her arm pulled into the long, heavy sleeves, Mina looks so like a child.  Knees pulled up to her chest as she lay on her side by the fire, visibly trying not to toss and turn against the rough ground.  No lines on her face save for the burn on her forehead, but the light of the fire throws the shadows under her eye into sharp relief, and her features are pinched into the sort of fear that pierces an old man’s heart.  The sort of fear he’d hoped to spare her.  It is hard to reconcile the calm, graceful, divinely patient, and devilishly clever woman she’d been before, all racing mind and sweet words, with this lost creature laying at his side.  It feels too cruel a reversal, to try and offer her comfort now when she had given it so freely only days before.
But Abraham has already failed her dearest friend, and sweet Lucy’s death still casts a pall over the whole company, even for all his efforts.  He will redouble them for Mina’s sake.  It is enough to know he might never see John or the brave Arthur again… a third loss may be his undoing.  It is all he can do to keep from imagining his own long-loved, long-lost faces in their place.
He stays silent as he pulls another wrap of furs from the wagon about his shoulders and straightens where he sits, signaling his intent to stay up and keep watch.  Mina’s head moves in what’s almost a nod before lolling heavily aside, just inches from him.  Tempting as it is to haul her into his lap as he would a small girl or run a hand over her unbound dark curls, Abraham abstains.  He will not touch her if she does not wish it–her cries upon having the wafer pressed to her skin still ring in his ears.  As do the resolute declarations of love and soothing hums from her husband shortly thereafter as he held her.  What would their Jonathan think to see her now, he wonders… and quickly resolves that it must not be so.  He will not leave her side tonight, and he shall return Mina to him as she was–bright and lovely, her energy and light restored.
This new oath is a balm, if only a slight one, to such an aching, weary old breast as his, and for the first time in hours he lifts his voice, hoarse with disuse, but gentle enough that only she can hear…
“’k Heb U altijd van noode, dag en nacht, slechts uw genâ verwint des boozen macht. Wie kan als gij mijn gids en sterkte zijn? Blijf bij mij, Heer, in nacht en zonneschijn!”

"HOLY FUCKIN' SHIT. YOU GETTIN' USED TO MY COMPANY OR WHAT, KID? IT'S FUCKIN' MOTHERFUCKIN' NICE TO SEE YOU TOO." negan laughed, shaking his head in amusement in the clear way that he always did, before bumping his shoulder quite playfully against the other's. was he exhausted? it felt as if he always was these days and it was damn weird to get used to a town that had nothing to do with what he had seen before and yet.. here he was. besides? the kid reminded him of carl and he had been unable to protect him once. "you hungry or some shit? there's pizza in the fridge and.. you old enough to drink, yeah? what's goin' on with the eye now, anyways? you good?" worried? yes, maybe.

Outlast: Chapter One (Sam Giddings x Reader)
Tumblr media
Series Masterlist
Word Count: 2.1K
Now
Sam’s Girlfriend
Dependable ● Tenacious ● Resolute
Tumblr media
21:02 ; Ten hours until dawn
“Well hello friends and fans…alright let’s do that again…” Josh’s voice rings out from Sam's phone through the shared earbuds. She adjusts the angle of her phone so you can see her screen more clearly and she leans over to rest her head on your shoulder.
“He sounds so different…I haven’t talked to him in months,” Sam says. She tilts her head to look up at you. “What about you? Didn’t you try to call him a couple of days ago?”
“Yeah,” you answer, “last week. It was a quick conversation, he didn’t say much. I can’t tell what’s going through his head.” Josh was one of your closest friends and you had been trying to get in contact with him for awhile now. When you, Josh, and Chris had finally woken up from your drunken stupors and found out about Hannah and Beth’s disappearances, Josh was absolutely crushed. He had completely ghosted you all for the first couple of months, and the last you heard only yourself, Sam, and Chris had any sort of contact with him since the incident.
“Hopefully this is just his way of coping,” Sam replies, “I’m just looking forward to seeing him again.” You nod in agreement and begin to play with her fingers that are grasped around your hand.
When Josh had suddenly sent you all an invitation to go back to Blackwood Pines a year after the twins’ disappearance, it was safe to say that Sam and yourself were a bit hesitant. You were worried about Josh and how closed off he had been, and this sudden change in attitude didn’t help to ease your concerns. However, Sam didn’t want to disappoint him so nevertheless you agreed to go along with her. You of course wouldn’t let her go by herself,  having to stay alone in your shared apartment for a weekend. Your stomach churned just at the thought of being alone, not knowing if Sam was safe.
You weren’t going to let Sam know about the couple of flasks that you had snuck into your bags when you packed for the trip. You used to be a fairly heavy drinker, taking the opportunity to get drunk whenever it arose. No one knew why you drank so much, not even Sam. You were never really intending to give it up, but after failing to be there for your friends last year when they were in need, you tried to cut back as much as you could. It was difficult to quit, and you had a feeling that you might need some when you saw your friends again.
“...And make this one a trip we will never forget, alright? Yes!”
When Josh’s video ended, Sam closed out of it and played some music for the rest of the bus ride to your destination. The silence between you was comfortable. The two of you never really needed to talk to keep each other company. Just being in each other’s presence was a nice reassurance to have.
You squeezed her hand, a gesture you always did to show your affection in a subtle way, and Sam squeezed back. You relax in your seat and bask in the little comfort the two of you have alone together before you have to brace yourself for the reunions to come.
Tumblr media
Blackwood Pines was just as desolate as you last remembered.
The view of the snowy peaks and trees that shimmered under the moon’s glow in the distance was gorgeous as usual, but the dark woods and the howling of the wind made the environment all the more ominous.
The snow was soft as it crunched beneath your feet, facilitating your path to the gate. The air was frigid and you rubbed your hands together in an attempt to keep warm. As you approached the entrance gate, a note taped onto it caught your attention. You pulled it off to inspect it. It was from Chris, notifying you that the gate was busted. There wasn’t anywhere else to get in leaving the two of you no choice but to climb over.
“Ugh, he couldn’t have at least warned us?” Sam grumbled.
“No service out here, babe. Don’t worry, I’ll give you a boost,” you reply teasingly.
You put the note back where it was and bend down to pick up your girlfriend who was considerably shorter than you. You grip her waist gently as she gives you a coy smile.
“Slow down there, Tex. No copping any feels until we get nice and toasty, preferable indoors.”
You let out an exaggerated gasp. “Well excuse you, missy! I try to be nice and look where that gets me.” She chuckles as you adjust your grip even tighter. “Up you go.”
Once Sam’s over, you pull yourself up and around, making a few quick jumps to save yourself some extra seconds.
“This place is a lot creepier then I remember,” Sam observes as you wipe some flecks of snow off your jeans.
“No kidding,” you reply as you get a good look around. “Well let’s not dwell on it too much,” you add, “Come on. Chris is probably waiting for us at the ski lift.” You give your girlfriend a light pat on the butt and hold her close to you as you trek through the woods.
“You ass!” She jumps from the sudden contact. “I swear, you better not be doing this when the others are around, I will literally murder you.”
You groan. “God, don’t mention that. I don’t know how I’m going to react seeing all of them again. I haven’t talked to most of them since last year.”
Sam kicked a large pile of snow away from you two as you continued on. “I actually forgot to tell you. Mike called the other day. He wanted to speak to you.”
You almost tripped over your boots at Sam’s comment. “Are you serious?”
You and Mike dropped all contact the day after Hannah and Beth’s disappearances. In fact, you didn’t keep in contact with most of your friends, only getting the most important updates through Sam. When you sobered up, everyone had initially refused to tell you what happened that led to the scrambled chaos and the lack of two of your friends. When the others couldn’t prevent Sam from caving in, finding out Mike’s part in the whole “prank” was really what sent you over the edge.
The bruise on his cheek had lasted a while, based on what Sam had told you.
Mike had been your best friend since you two were little, the person you were closest to right after Sam. You never would’ve imagined he would use Hannah’s fleeting feelings for him to utterly humiliate her, and inadvertently causing both her and Beth’s disappearance. He tried to apologize to you for it, but nothing he could possibly say would make you forget what the end result of his mistake had been.
Mike was a cocky guy and he screwed up often in his actions, but never to this extent. This was something you couldn’t forgive him for. You simply refused to.
“As serious as I can be. He wouldn’t tell me what he was going to say. Just that he wanted to speak with you.”
“And why didn’t you tell me about this then?” You raised an eyebrow at your girlfriend.
“Oh come on.” She rolled her eyes. “You know how you would’ve reacted when I brought him up. I already knew you were going to reject it and then get all pissy.”
Sam was right about that. Just hearing Mike’s name puts you in a sour mood.
Sam was there for you after that whole fight. You were drinking heavily at the time, wishing to forget the pain and guilt of all that had conspired that night. You felt bad that she had to take care of you, but Sam dealt with grief in her own way, and taking care of you made her feel better, too.
“I love you. You know me too well.”
“I love you too, Tex.”
The two of you finally make it to the cable car station, but there’s no sign of Chris anywhere.
“Chris? Are you here?” Sam calls out. You walk around and see his backpack lying on the bench, gesturing to Sam. Suddenly, his phone starts buzzing and Sam picks it up.
“Check it out.” Sam nudges you and points to it, snatching the phone and turning the screen to face you. “It’s from Ashley.”
“Ooh, does our boy finally have some game?” You joke.
“Hey nosey.” The two of you gasp as Chris plucks his phone right out of Sam’s hands and looks at you both accusingly. “I can take it from here.”
“Sorry Chris,” you say apologetically and hug him from behind. You swing him and lift him off the ground as he swats you away, “we just want to know how much longer we have to force the two of you together for the two of you to become official.”
“Okay well, I found something kinda amazing.” Chris leads the two of you to an area a few feet away from the back of the cable car station, which you quickly realize is a small shooting range. Before you head over, you stop to look at a wanted poster that was taped on the side of the building. Milgram, Victor, it read. “Check it out guys,” you point the poster out to your friends.
“Huh. I’m surprised we haven’t noticed this before now. You going to give it a go, Tex?”
“Dude! I’m right here. And I literally found it. I should be the one showing off here.”
“You’re just going to embarrass yourself in front of  good ol’ Tex, gun connoisseur.”
You laugh. “You’re so sexy when you use big words.”
“Hey, hey! No flirting allowed when I am gracing you with my presence,” Chris complains. He takes the rifle before you can grab it and aims at the first sandbag with a painted target. After he misses the first two shots, you snatch the gun from him.
“Let me show you what a real professional looks like.” You point the gun and shoot first at the two targets Chris missed and then at two glass bottles that were farther away.
Sam whistles at you. “Nice shootin’ Tex,” she says in a mock southern accent. “Always here to please, ma’am.” You tip an imaginary cowboy hat in her direction and kiss the back of her hand.
You can hear Chris gagging behind you. “Okay, enough you two!” He snatches the rifle from your grip and places it back. “Come on. Let’s head back to the station.” As he pulls ahead you and Sam giggle amongst yourselves and follow.
Chris addresses the elephant in the room as you approach the station. “Man it is…definitely weird coming back up here after a whole year,” he says.
“Yeah, I swear the moment we got here it all just came flooding back.” You squeeze Sam’s hand to comfort her.
“If it’s like this for us, I can’t imagine how it feels for Josh.” The three of you fall silent for a bit after that until Sam speaks up.
“We’ll be there to support him if he needs it. He probably won't ask for help though, you know how he is.”
You all enter the cable car when it finally arrives, Chris electing to sit across from you and your girlfriend.
“Oh! Have I ever told you how Josh and I met?”
As Chris tells his story, you think back to the very first time you met Sam. It was your very first party of your high school career, and of course you and Mike had to go and get piss ass drunk to celebrate. Mike didn’t know at the time, but that wasn’t your first time drinking, and that heavily for the matter. When you couldn’t manage yourself anymore, he had spotted a mutual friend who was sober and asked if she could help you–that girl being Sam. Even while you were intoxicated, you knew that Sam was the prettiest girl you had ever seen. With Mike’s help she got you settled into a bedroom and stayed with you as you drunkenly flirted with her. Whenever you bring it up to her she always mentions how she was “totally not interested” but you distinctly remember how gorgeous she looked when her cheeks flared with a blush.
Despite your less-than-amicable relationship with Mike right now, you had to credit him with getting you and Sam together. If he had never wanted to start the school year off at a party and if you hadn’t drank yourself into yet another stupor, you and Sam may have never been a couple.
After your thought, Chris’s voice comes back into focus.
“Boom. Butterfly effect.”

he had always been tired even back when he was still alive. embracing every neuroses, every impulse to get a new terribly ugly tattoo, every call of the void only quelled with a pair of scissors and the regret of giving himself a shitty haircut.
even his interest in unresolved cases started as caprice, a reminder how lucky he was to be alive whenever he didn't want to be.
but right now, william briar giddings was tired of decaying.
there was a thud when the shovel finally hit something solid. and the sound alone almost made him flinch. and maybe he would have flinched, if only sensations didn't fade just as quickly as he felt them. no nerve endings, just energy and vibes !
so he focused on kieran instead, sounding like a sick dog with the harsh huff and puff of his breath. one-hundred twenty minutes, give or take, spent excavating the burial site.
the raven-haired boy grumbled, " we should have brought lucifer. " " as much as i love your other boyfriend, i don't want that boy's nails ruined with manual labor and dirt. "
kieran looked up at him like he was trying to look indignant, but that smile, no matter how faint, never lied. fond and verging on laugh.
he wanted to kiss him. " sometimes i pretend i'm like him. "
" which part ? " kieran grunted out as he tried to pry the coffin's lid open with all his strength.
" alive. "
and with the casket finally opened, will thought that his embalmed corpse didn't really look like him anymore. too flat, too pale. too lifeless. it was his body, but it wasn't him anymore.
" are you sure you want me to do this ? " kieran asked for the thirteenth time tonight. the ghost nodded. " it's just flesh and bones, kieran. " it could be put to better use than just being worn away by time. his mind, his emotions, every part of him that wasn't tangible lived him with death's son now. but he still needed something physical to protect him.
kieran attuned himself with the forces of death, reaching into the depths of tartarus to manifest two spectral hands — worn like gloves as he touched the corpse.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
it was absolutely perverse to reduce the remains of a once-breathing and thriving body into nothing but a diminutive monster to serve his purpose. moving parts without its own will. a puppet just for his own bidding.
but gabriel was gone. and alejandro already died once. questions regarding right or wrong just didn't feel like a worthy priority anymore when it was beginning to feel like his only real choices here were really just dead or alive.
rapid necrosis began to set in and he watched will's corpse convulse and diminish under his touch, creating such mutilated gore from decay. and the smell of formaldehyde almost made him vomit. but he endured until the flesh had fallen off will's skeleton and reduced into nothing but food for the worms.
he felt the pang of guilt, bile slowly rising up to his throat. but kieran swallowed it all down. it needed to be done to give himself a better fighting chance. this was life or death.
or maybe, life and death would be a more accurate description.
he crawled out of will's burial pit and lifted the night caller up to his lips, but kieran didn't blow just yet.
he smiled at will before closing his eyes, head thrown back to face the stars and letting himself feel the quiet and cold breeze of the night against his throat. with each breath, he tried to feel the souls of those who lingered in this cemetery — bodies rotting six feet under, yet immortalized in the memories of those they left in this mortal coil.
kieran wanted to borrow their energies for a moment. to feel closer to his father.
" thanatos. the god of death. acherontis. leukokhrotos. paian. father. please guide me. the keres told me that a son of yours is supposed to bring them together. they look at me for answers. they look at me for explanations. but i can't give them answers about things that i don't know. they want to know why the nosoi are trying to usurp you. and i do, too, so that maybe i can be of better help. i know i haven't been the kindest to myself. i know i haven't been the kindest to all the parts of me that are you. and there's so much i still need to learn. but i'm ready now. show me the signs and i'll do what must be done. i pray that you hear me. and i pray that you hear this. and i pray that we can talk soon. "
and with that, kieran blew the whistle, a gift from the keres, to animate will's skeleton.

An Other's Tale. WARNING: Plenty of blood and guts in this tale, set somewhere around the middle of the Once Upon a Witchlight story, my own little fanfic :D
The group was gathered within the Inn at the End of The Road, resting for yet another night within the maddening realm of magic and murder known as the Feywild. Most were in their own rooms, sleeping peacefully, or as peacefully as they could manage at least, but one of them sat within another's room, awake with anxiety and dread.
The owner of the inn, Twig Toadspring, who had come to be like a sister to the five of them, laid in her bed, in restless sleep, Gideon Coal sat at her bedside, face full of concern as he stared down at her. She tossed and turned in her sleep, whimpering softly as her brow furrowed at something in the depths of her dreams.
She had been out of sorts the past few days, trying not to bother the others with it too much, but as she tended to, she'd told a great deal of it to Gideon. As he'd heard it, her Other had been proving especially difficult to silence lately; she wasn't quite sure why, the Other always fought in some form or another, but she'd been proved extra relentless lately. She always followed along behind the others and did her best to help, so didn't want to cause a fuss, but Gid could tell it was wearing on her.
He rose a hand gently down to the little Brownie and began to rub her back, in an effort to calm her slumber. As he did this, the floorboards creaked heavily behind him as a tall, lumbering figure peered in through the doorway.
"Hey Torbek." Gid said casually, knowing the sounds of his presence quite well by this point.
Torbek rung his hands together nervously as he watched Twig toss and turn, her hands clutching tightly onto the blankets as she whimpered again. "Is Twig gonna be okay?"
Gid took in a deep breath and let it out slow. "I dunno man...she's been going through a lot lately. I think if we just let her rest and keep her calm, she'll be okay."
Torbek stared at him for a moment, before his eyes moved back to Twig. He watched the fearful look on her face; it wasn't just fear he saw...he saw a particular kind of fear that he recognized. A kind of pain none of the others knew quite as well as he did. His face fell, and after a moment of silence, he moved forward to stand at her bedside alongside Gid.
"Let Torbek watch her, so Mr. Gideon can get some sleep." Gid huffed through his nose, keeping his hand on Twig. It's not that he didn't trust Torbek; unlike the others, he had faith in Torbek - not to do things right precisely, but to always do his best. He knew what he was capable of, he'd seen it firsthand, seen him rip a man to shreds so violently barely anything of him remained. But he knew at the end of the day, a prisoner only wished for company.
"Okay. But if anything happens, come get me, okay?" Torbek nods. "Torbek promises." Gid nods, sighing softly as he gives Twig another quick pat, before hefting himself up and heading off to his room.
The next morning, the group awoke, one by one, Hootsie ruffling her feathers and prodding Gricko until he rolled out of bed, Kremy donning his jacket and hat, Frost meditating before exiting his room, and Gideon, who'd hardly gotten any sleep at all due to his worries, dragged his chains along behind him as he hefted out of bed with a groan.
At first, they sat down in the common area for a time, waiting for Torbek and Twig to wake up and come downstairs, as Gid had explained the situation to them, and they assumed Torbek had fallen asleep watching her. So, they waited...and waited...they waited for about an hour, wanting to give them time, but it didn't take long for Gideon to grow concerned.
Gideon headed back upstairs, as did Kremy, as he could see how big a deal this was, leaving the others to await their return with bated breath. A harsh knocking was brought to the door as they reached it. "Hey! Come on guys, wake up. We're gettin' worried down here, and I think we could all use some breakfast. Kremy can make it this time, we aren't tryin' to overwork ya, Twig." The pair waited for a moment for an answer but were met with silence. "Fuckin' fine then, I'm comin' in."
The door swung open with a creak and revealed quite the sight. Twig and Torbek were nowhere to be seen, the blankets adorning Twig's bed tossed aside, what appeared to be claw marks torn across them, the floorboards at Twig's bedside sunken in and cracked as if something of tremendous weight had stood upon them. The window of the room was wide open, the glass cracked, and the wood of the windowsill buckled and bent, as well as the wood around the rim of the window, as something much too big to fit had forced through and outside into the wilderness.
At this sight Gid immediately rushed into the room in a panic. "WHAT THE FUCK?! Where'd they fuckin' go?!" Kremy rushed past Gid and to the window, looking outside to see if he could gather any ideas. He could see large, clawed footprints in the grassy muck, left in near perfect condition from the combination of moss and last night's rainfall, as well as just the general nature of a swamp.
"Those look like Torbek's...but why the fuck would he leave without a word?" Kremy said with a huff. "And why the fuck would he bring Twig? Or maybe...hell, I dunno, maybe Twig chased after him?" Gideon took a few deep, strained breaths as he tried to calm himself, running a hand through his firey hair with a sigh. "I dunno man..." He was silent for a moment, as a realization dawned on him. "...Ya don't think...ya don't think it was...-him-, do ya?"
Kremy knew all too well who Gideon meant. He stood there, frozen for a moment, grip on the window tightening as the horrific thought fully dawned on him. "I...I sure fuckin' hope not. I mean, we ain't never seen him leave a fella alive this long; didn't seem like the kind to be patient enough for kidnappin', ya know? But I guess we only really saw him the once..." He shook his head. "Either way...we gotta get lookin', and fast." Gid nodded quickly as he rushed out of the room to go get the others.
Meanwhile, deep in the foggy swamps that surrounded the inn, the air already alight with the sounds of buzzing insects and gently croaking frogs was tainted with a horrific squelching noise; the kind of tearing and blood-soaked ripping one could only expect to hear in a slaughterhouse. The murky waters around a dark little mass of land in a clearing were colored a deep red by the blood and viscera that spilled out into it, as a huge, hulking brown beast dragged its long, sharp claws down the carcass of a poor man, so violently mutilated by this point one could hardly even discern his race.
Mere hours ago, this hulking beast had the lovable giant known as Torbek, a meek soul that would cower in fear at the sight of danger, despite outweighing and towering over most he encountered. But now, as the plungers in the large glowing cannisters on his back had sharply gone down and triggered a gruesome transformation, turning an already intimidating figure into something truly unspeakable, the creature stared down at his prey, salivating at the sight of his innards pulling away effortlessly under the might of his claws, chuckling darkly as his glowing magenta gaze illuminated the fog around him.
This beast wasn't alone, however. Clung onto his back, or more specifically his cannisters, peering over his shoulder and giggling mischievously at the sight of his 'art', was a little creature that also had been a much gentler soul mere hours before. Before, she had been little Twig Toadspring, a curious and energetic little Brownie that, despite being miles ahead of her brothers in terms of age, acted much akin to a small child, though honestly most Fae did, especially here.
Where there had once been simple nails had been replaced with long, sharp claws, her round, cute glasses and toadstool hat had been tossed aside to emphasize her now wild and untamed mane of strawberry blonde hair and pitch-black eyes. She was soaked in blood, just as her companion was, the blood already beginning to clot in her matted hair, as she licked away some extra blood from her razor sharp teeth.
"Let's paint a picture for the others...for when they find us. I'd looove to see their faces when they find it. Oh pleassse." She cooed in a dementedly joyful tone, the voice very much Twig's but the tone laced with sickly sweet cruelty and utter bloodlust. The beast growled deeply, his already wide grin growing ever wider as drool fell from his maw of fangs. "Yesss...let's hope they're not too much longer dove...this one's runnin' out of ink." He said with a cruel, growling cackle as he once more dragged his claws along the corpse, mangled and nearly entirely emptied of blood, what little remained splattered against the soil as the little menace upon his shoulders cackled alongside him.

Hello all! I’m reopening my CATCF Roleplay server!
So we do have a base plot, read down below, but we also have many Roleplay rooms where two or more can create an idea and roll with it.
Basic Plot:
Instead of the children being the ones to suffer at the hands of Wonka’s torture devices, it was their parents who had a cruel dose of reality handed to them.
The losers of the contest were asked to stay by Wonka’s side or to go with their now deformed parents. All of them chose to stay and live within the factory to become better.
Now, as adults, the five of them reign over the Chocolate Factory with ease and precision, Wonka’s candy more popular than ever before.
Charlie is the face of the company and head Chocolatier, Veruca handles the budgets and is a sponsor thanks to her father’s business, Violet is head Marketing and Sales due to being able to crush the competition, Mike Teavee works on maintaining the technological parts of the factory such as the TV Room and is the first person called when there is a malfunction that the Oompa Loompas can’t fix, and, of course, Augustus Gloop is the main taste tester and with his help, a lot of new flavours have been created and some have been discontinued due to his input.
As they run the factory smoothly, using their talents to their advantage, they happily live their lives together and enjoy each day they can be themselves and cultivate their passions.
Now we do have some base rules:
- please only apply for a character you can actually play
- While these are characters with a certain personality, appearance, etc. you can make them your own as long as you respect the original
- Please use 3rd person/ narrator perspective and paragraph formatting when roleplaying
- Not OC friendly
And these are the characters you can chose from https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/11NG8IS2s5_GAYqwmMNsMyzKS5iBzfys493tx6J3xnaQ/edit#gid=0
