Upcoming NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER Reveals Promising Performance Boost
We're getting an early glimpse at the first SUPER GPU of this generation. The NVIDIA RTX 4070 SUPER, featuring the AD104 GPU with an impressive 7168 CUDA cores, is set to outshine its predecessor, the RTX 4070, which has 5888 cores. This upgrade translates to a substantial 22% increase in core count. Notably, the memory configuration remains consistent at 12GB GDDR6X. Preliminary insights, particularly from 3DMark benchmarks, are scheduled for release tomorrow, offering a sneak peek into the card's capabilities.
As NVIDIA prepares to lift its embargo, the focus will initially be on the standard retail price (MSRP) models. These baseline versions typically do not include factory overclocking. Our comparison includes both the RTX 4070 SUPER and the original RTX 4070, both in their Founders Edition forms.

Recently leaked images and information, revealed by a technology aficionado on digital platforms, have brought into light Gigabyte’s comprehensive range of the upcoming NVIDIA RTX 40 SUPER graphics cards. In addition, fresh glimpses of Inno3D’s RTX 40 SUPER cards have also been seen, hinting at their forthcoming innovations.
Gigabyte is set to unveil its AORUS Master series, including the advanced GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER and RTX 4080 SUPER models. Graphics enthusiasts have already seen previews of these models on social media, showcasing Gigabyte’s notable 3.5-slot GPU architecture.
The expected RTX 4080 SUPER is rumored to boast an impressive 10240 CUDA cores and feature a 16GB GDDR6X memory with a rapid speed of 23 Gbps, setting a new benchmark in the RTX 40 series. The RTX 4070 Ti SUPER is anticipated to come with 8448 CUDA cores and a significant 16GB memory, albeit at a slightly lesser speed of 21 Gbps. So, my idea is that the gaming PC should be able to play all current and upcoming games on very or ultra-high settings without any issues (e.g. Alan Wake 2, God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, Horizon Forbidden West, etc.), be silent and not overheat quickly and have good airflow, and have space for expansions and/or upgrades.
Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow RGB Edition, glass window, white
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 8x 4.2GHz, 96MB L3 cache or AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D, 12x 4.4GHz, 128MB L3-Cache => I'm a bit indecisive on which one here.

It's a bit on the pricey side, but I'm willing to order it if it can do well and I don't need to upgrade it in a bit, especially, because I don't think there'll be many more games with higher graphics as there are currently.
Hey love, that's a kickass build!!! I would go for the Ryzen 9 7900X3D instead. Simply because it's stronger and this is a purchase that should last you for a few years. Series 7 is great but there is a 10% more chance for a bottle neck.
My rule of thumb is always to go a bit over with the PSU because if your PSU dies, then it can take your entire PC with it. (It happened to me once, and it was painful!!!) Having said that, I think the minimum for 4070 RTX is 750W, but I would go with 900, perhaps just to be sure. It's not a must.
As for RAM. Go for 64. They are not that expansive and also DDR5 are incredible. I have the Vengence as well :).
