I think the most heartbreaking part of this is because in the first picture, that’s Future Natsu doing the forehead touch with Future Lucy, and he promises her that they’ll be okay.

But in the second picture, that’s Present Natsu doing the forehead touch with Future Lucy. Present Natsu who had no idea that Future Natsu did that with Future Lucy. He did that gesture out of his own love and gratitude to Future Lucy for going back in time to protect their future.

And the reason Future Lucy is crying in the second picture is because she remembers how her Natsu from the Future did the exact same thing. And her Natsu is dead. And this one, still alive, made her remember how her Natsu did this gesture and she lost him after.

In this one shot alone, you can see the love, sadness, gratitude, and fear that Future Lucy and Present Natsu is experience.

And I just love them so much more for it.

Okay did the whole future rouge/celestial gate arc give anyone else chills or was it just me?😭 the fact that we got a glimpse into what would’ve happened had future Lucy not warn the past, aka the present, Lucy and the guild was lowkey bone chilling for me. And then the whole guild greeting her in fuckin heaven killed me fr.

THEN if Ultear had not went back in time by one minute literally a lot of major characters would’ve died? The fact that Gray actually DID?? Christ I was so nervous😭 the longer the GMGs went on the eerier it got, because we all knew there was a great looming over them but we didn’t know when exactly it would happen!!!

Overall the GMGs arc is probably my favorite of all time, so good even though it left me with multiple heart problems in the end💀

I think this is my favorite Lucy ship in general and I wish their relationship developed into more than just a played out, tired gag. I’d prefer it to be romantic, obviously, but even a deeper friendship would be better than what we got. :((

I adore the knight/princess vibe they got, and also just love the thought of Erza helping Lucy tap into her own badassry. Their friendship is really overlooked and i think it could be a nice semi-slowburn and then i’d make them a couple after the Edolas arc because Lucy’s torment of Knightwalker being a monster and her relief of seeing her Erza makes me so aahhhh!

8/10 would write a whole multi chapter fic Macao arc — Alverez arc dedicated to them

Very similar to Erlu in the dynamic they could’ve had. That episode between them fighting that rocker hair guy in the ToH was so cute and it really showed what they could’ve have if Mashima developed Juvia.

I think this was my first WLW ship in FT, or, at least the one that I was most in love with. Their friendship is so sweet and I wish that Cana would stop groping her in canon :/
