as i'm workin on my Ancient stuff- i've got to say that it is really interesting and neat (read: nasty) that there's a good chance most of the Ancient population probably didn't actually wear masks. but We think they did cuz the only really solid evidence of what they looked like at all all comes from places of the higher social circles. and those strived for religious... superiority, i guess. brownie points, not actual dedication to the religion for the sake of its teachings but either because it made them look good, put them higher in the social hierarchy or whatever manipulation have you (or the flawed look upon the religion aka "we gotta get out of this cycle no matter what")

all we are left with are the bastards. the simple people and their cultures that were left to weather the Iterators' rains were simply washed away. nobody cared for their way of life- as long as it served the higher circles well and they stayed submissive (enough so that at the end everyone would take a dip in the void), nobody had to give a singular shit

just how much do we not know about the Ancients' *everything* because of this disregard? how much do we think we are right about, when such is true only for the small but privileged piece of the species?

#rune factory 5 #rune factory #rf5 #alright finally got the orchard into the comic! im going to have it be relevant and explained eventually but ill describe it here to start #so on vivi's (wind dragon) ares planted an apple orchard to which he placed a curse upon #if one enters the orchard and falls off the correct path they get trapped in a pocket dimension(which ares learned how to create from lucas) #the only person who knows the correct path is Rei who in turn trained the wolves to traverse it as well #and ofc the wolves only obey Rei/Ree otherwise their one other response is to take ppl (Bea and by extension of scent Al) to the berrypatch #Ares made the field this way after the Bea attack while she was picking berries. Its a safe space for her to be alone and pick fruit #and still be ptotected from outside attackers (by both the enchantment on the orchard and the scary wolves that protect the place) #yeah so anyways. the enchanted orchard ! deffo not a public farm thats for sure haha! i don't wanna take over the world, it sounds like a lot. but you know, laying siege to a golf course sounds really nice sometimes

me, just yacked in an alleyway: yeah haha

#it's 3pm now and i still cant believe that happened that was. an experience #basically my mate's 21st coincided with her sister's 30th so they both had this big joint Event last night #where they literally rented out a farm house and the field nearby and set up a whole campsite and barbeque and everything #it was really random but also really good esp bc ive been friends with this girl since we were super young #and our mums were friends so ive just got. lots of connections to her family and it was nice seeing them all again #but there was fully like 60 people at this thing and i DID drink more than i meant to but i wasn't paralytic which is good #and my hangover ISNT that bad in terms of how bad my hangovers can get #it's just that my mate's dad picked us both up at 9am this morning which was already going to be... rough #and then proceeded to do the bumpiest drive down the country lanes ive ever experienced #i was literally grinding my teeth like i am NOT about to throw up in this man's car please if there is a god do not let me throw up #and i didn't! my mum picked me up from this (thankfully very quiet) road that has this rickety old alley coming off it #and i had the very humbling moment of 'im actually going to be sick aren't i' and had to WAIT FOR AN OLD WOMAN #TO FUCKING MEANDER OUT OF THE ALLEY AND WALK FAR AWAY ENOUGH FOR ME TO AT LEAST HAVE A SHRED OF DIGNITY #and proceeded to throw up. in a public alleyway. at 9:30am on a sunday. so of course i needed to tell you guys about it #im now force feeding myself garlic bread. im going to manchester tomorrow. i have a flight at the crack of dawn on tuesday #what is even going on anymore #also fully did just do nos last night with some 30 year olds. i cannot express how fucking odd a thing that is for me to do #actually no i can express it bc youse know that im funny about drugs so for me to not even be that drunk #and get offered a fucking balloon of all things and be like 'yeah why not!' is.... odd #i know i inhaled wrong though bc it didn't do a thing which honestly im happy about <3 #hella goes home

#kee speaks #we went to the funeral home yesterday and it felt so surreal #mom shared the note my sister left with me and my brother so we know what her mindset was like and her reasoning #but it hurts that she never voiced it to us when we could've reassured her #she parked her truck in one of our farming fields behind a row of thick bushes so the truck wasn't visible from the road #you wouldn't know a truck could make it there unless you've been in that field before like we have #but it's right next to a dammed lake and that's where my brother in law proposed to her and only four days before their wedding anniversary #and then he was the one who found her #none of my family made it over there to be there with him #my dad tried but he blew the engine on his truck just a few miles from the farm; not even a quarter of the way to the field #i think that was a sign that he shouldn't have been there #but my brother in laws family all made it over there so he had his immediate family with him and my family was together at the farm #when the cops were done talking to him over there him and his family came to the farm #from Friday afternoon until Sunday night it was just a continuous parade of people coming and going from the farm #even yesterday evening a bunch of people stopped by #i don't think i have ever received so many hugs in a 72 hour period before #we've definitely deduced that my parents church will not be big enough for everyone if all that showed up at the farm plus more will be ther #we picked a day almost two weeks away for the funeral so that people can make arrangements to come #im so exhausted though #i keep crying over things that feel stupid to cry over #like she was the one who convinced me to read the Murderbot Diaries and the next book comes out in the next couple months #i wont get to talk to her about it #i was going to lend her my PS5 so she could play Jedi Survivor #on Saturday i kept crying over a pin that has been sitting on my mug shelf in the cupboard that was meant for her #i convinced myself to wait until Christmas and put it in her stocking #and now I feel bad that i didnt give it to her when i bought it cause maybe it would've brought her some joy

What's your dream job?🔮

I'd love to work somewhere in the field of animal biology, or just animal study/care in general. I have an interest in the processes & functionality of animal bodies that people don't fully understand yet, as well as their psychology.

It is one of my favorite things, to study an animal so closely that you begin to understand everything about it's life and why they live it they way that they do.

#it's really hard to find solid info on how geese behave & what they need to be happy online #because there's a lot of differing opinions and and views #and also i have a feeling a lot of non-chicken/duck poultry farming is not often discussed online but through word of mouth-- #--between said poultry farmers #at least that's the feeling i've gotten from it all when trying to research in the past #but nothing has brought me more delight than to learn exactly what my geese want from me #and to learn exactly how to control their behavior while maintaining their respect #just yesterday there was a hawk flying above the field #a hawk would not go for a goose they are much too large #but the sight of a large bird flying above still upset them #and they knew once i got up and started walking across the field to follow me back to their pen in a hurry #i said nothing to them and did nothing to try and convince them to follow #and they would not normally follow me for just getting up randomly #and it brought me such happiness to know that we are all on the same level of understanding #SORRY this is a long tag ramble but i just love understanding animals
