The End of a Very Long Month - Diary of a Big Ole Gay
Hey Whores, this is the pretty much the diary entry for the rest of the month of April, also I am almost finished with this fucking watchlist. Which is really exciting, a sword of damacoulas over my head fully swallowed.
Tumblr media
(I honestly just wanted a Rocky Horror Clip for shit and giggles)
but at the same time I now have so many leads and little films that I want to watch to complete the collection. Sure I don't need to watch George et Georgettes, (the french version), or Theres Three but like I might as well I've literally seen every single other film that people talk about.
but enough navel-gazing thats for later.
Lets get into the Good Stuff
Tumblr media
Winter Kept Us Warm (1965) dir. David Secter
A movie that was so subtle gay that the actors didn't even realize thats what they were going for. No, Like for real, that is like a real thing people say about this movie.
Overall this was like a super cute movie. It was just about two guys just meeting in college and vibing and like having quickly developing a deeply intamint and insular relationship something that straight people totally do.
Tumblr media
They were totally like ROOMMATES
anyway as a gay man who totally also didn't have a really close friendship that made me realize that hey maybe I'm into dudes this shit made me feel called out.
Tumblr media
The Sergeant (1968) dir. John Flynn
Yeah, this kiss is noncon. Sorry to tell you.
The Sergeant is about this older guy who basically has this super toxic working relationship with this enlisted man who he essentially forces to be his secretary.
They have an uneasy friendship with The Sergeant being at turns extremly friendly and extremly cold to this man and his boring wallpaper of a girlfriend.
Anyway the whole reason thats hes like that is that HE IS A FAGGOT, HE IS A DRUNKARD, HE IS CORRUPTING THE FRENCH ARMY WITH HIS ... DEGENERACY!!!!!!
and after the dude rejects him because hes not a homo, The Sergeant just straight up fucking kills himself.
THANKS I HATE IT.
Tumblr media
The Killing of Sister George (1968) dir. Robert Aldrich
ok first that is the cutest GIF I've ever seen.
Anyway this ones about LESBIANS HAROLD. These woman GAY, there in a fucking relationship. THEY KISS HAROLD! and they FUCK!
So yeah this was if I rememeber correctly based on a comedy play and the movie turns it into a drama but they kind of fail so its basically like a gay ass camp melodrama and I'm a little hear for it.
I do have to say that the Titelul SIster George is like TOXIC AF but I mean sos Dr. Frankfurther and I still want them to fuck me.
Tumblr media
This film is mainly centered around an actress named June Buckridge who plays in this kind of petticoat junction, call a mid-wife type show as a sweet little nun named Sister George, (yes I know that Sisters and Nuns are techically different suck it). She is also *gasp* about to be killed off.
What follows is the fall out of that decision and her extremly toxic relationship between her and her girlfriend. Theres definetly a DMLG aspect to their relationship as well as just generally BDSM and it borders on abusive. But also just woman who like woman dressed as like fucking laural and hardy which is so fucking gay.
Tumblr media
They knew what they were doing.
Tumblr media
Something For Everyone (1970) dir. Hal Prince
So a couple months ago I watched this really awful porno called The Switch is on with this Guy named Jeff Stryker. So theres this one scene where Stryker is fucking this chick and her husband comes in and just starts getting cucked but then this guy just gets so fucking horny for what can only be described as a sexy bowl of oatmeal that he literally pushes his wife aside and is like UWU fuck me and Jeff Stryker without a single reaction just preceeds to start fucking this guy. It was like watching some type of milling machine and the worker just put a different grain of wood in. What I'm saying is that if your going to watch porn support actors that actually work on being entertaining and present in there sex play.
The other reason why I bring this up is that this is like if one of those Catalinina Bi-Features was actually well thought out, (this obviously excuses Bi-Coastal which is probably one of my favorite pornos ever).
This is a Comedy of Manners were a bisexual disaster who stoacicly fucks everyone trys to sleep his way into getting a castle.
There isn't a lot of PDA with the man he seduces but its actually really nice that they validated the fact that this man can be bisexual and also have like a honest to goodness relationship with this guy, and his sister, and his wife, and HIS MOM. what can I say theres SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE *Roll Credits*
Tumblr media
Fortune and Men's Eyes (1971) dir. Harvey Hart
Ok thats a slutty image.
So heres the thing this movie is very gay. Its all about men who want to fuck other men. Sexual. It also, unfortunetly, frames that sexual desire purely through the lens of male rape and explotation.
This is a film about having a prison wife or being someone old man and a lot of the queer relationships are explotative and sexual abusive. A lot of these men are being sexual abused. Which is not a lovely time with the gays.
The film does raise a lot of interesting notions around how situration homosexuality remains seperate from normative queerness or at least simply becames another aspect of normative masculinity and in that lens I think its important to watch and study this film. But I wouldn't say watch this for fun.
Also Michael Greer does a full on drag number and this shows us his dick. Iconic faggot behaivor, we stan.
Tumblr media
Lulu (1962) dir. Rolf Thiele
Ok I think I would have remembered this scene because she looks super fucking hot in that photo. heres whats up.
This is an adaptation of the Lulu Cycle plays by Wedeman the same plays that G.W.Pabst adapted however this chick is not in louise brooks and I'm going to hold that against her. also this movie was like super hard to get into and follow. Which I didn't have that issue with the original 1930's film. This movie also just doens't have the right energy for me. I'm sorry but Pabst made a masterpiece. Pabst woke up and said I'm gonna make a movie that goes so hard that it will be a faggots laptop background for like 5 months straight and it is.
This is like um ok theres some hot people but its not that gay. so ew.
Tumblr media
P.J. (1968) dir. John Guillermin
So P.J is another one of these schlocky action detective movies from the 60s that were really popular and this one just so happens to have a gay bar in it.
The scene is very explotative and not in the best way to be honest. Like I love that the fags are just another group of generic ruffians for this saturday morning cartoon and that they even like beat the shit out of him. (one guy scatches him which is first HOT and also a lot to unpack). I also compare the scene to the Dyke Bar in Foxy Brown but theres a few differences.
the dyke bar has both like Femme and Butch women where the gay bar basically only has men who look like Liberace
In Foxy Brown she essentials claims or acts as the guardian for a woman that shes trying to get information out of the woman in these scenes take on a auru of queerness were as P.J. stands as stark opposition to the queer community
The Dyke Bar scene actually makes sense in context with the film. Whereas this film just feels like it shoehorns in a gay bar. For reasons. Reasons that arn't important or neccisary to the plot.
Tumblr media
Deathwatch (1966) dir. Vic Morrow
Ok so this is based on play by noted faggot Jean Genet who also did that other hot prison movie.
Tumblr media
So in this one Leanord Nemoy and a bunch of other guys basically fight over who gets to bang there hot illeterate cellmate. Its very gay but its also more a lot of homos doing theater and less them actually fucking and sucking like in Un Chant d'amour.
Tumblr media
Theorem (1968) dir. Pier Paolo Pasolini
Ok this was my first Pasolini film which I watched in Spanish of all things for reasons. The Reason being that that was the only version with subtitles. Luckily this film is famously light on dialogue.
This one is a little bit like Something for Everyone except a lot more surrealistic.
The Stranger comes to a novea riche family gives them all a good fucking, (including the maid), and then just fucking leaves. They then proceed to have like a religious experience over it???
This is Pasolini so its really weird and allegorical but also like super fucking cool. Damn now I want to rewatch it.
Tumblr media
Pink Narcissus (1971) dir. James Bidgood
Ok just imagine if Kenneth Anger made a full length feature porno and this is basically that. A young male prostitute lazes about his apartment and has a series of erotic dreams.
As a movie Its giving hints of Anger as well as de Rome and it is just an insanely weird/cool/kinda hot thing to look at.
Its on Internet Archive btw.
Tumblr media
Fellini Satyricon (1969) dir. Federico Fellini
Ok so this is like one of those old ass Bible story epics from the 30s except its based on a roman novel or history or something and also it is the GAYEST thing you've ever seen. Basically this hot blonde guy rescues his twink husband from a guy dressed as a pig (don't ask), then they fuck, then his brother shows up and just like steals his husband and then there entire neighborhood collapses in an earthquake. After that I stopped asking questions and I'm pretty sure we don't see his hot twink husband again so RIP i guess.
To be honest I have no idea what happened in this movie but it sure was cool and i need to watch more Italian cinema.
Anyway whores thats enough out of me today. I'll probably return near the end of may with the last 10 or so films left on the watchlist.

Sad Song :: Lou Reed's Berlin at 50
Rise and shine — it's time to listen to Berlin! A Film For The Ear! The Sgt. Pepper Of The Seventies! Yes, Lou Reed's monumentally depressing magnum opus was unleashed on an unsuspecting public 50 years ago this week ... and I'm celebrating in style over on Aquarium Drunkard with a short essay and a re-imagined version of the LP, drawn from various live tapes and home recordings, stretching from the early 1970s to Lou's final tour in 2012. I'm not going to say it's a good time exactly ... but it's a time! Pour yourself some Dubbonet on ice and sing along to this sad song.
Intro / Berlin (Paris 1972 w/ John Cale) / Lady Day (Stockholm 1974) / Men of Good Fortune (NYC 2003) / Caroline Says I (Copenhagen 1973) / How Do You Think It Feels (Sydney 2007 w/ Sharon Jones) / Looking Through the Eyes of Love (aka Oh Jim) (Home Demo 1971) / Caroline Says II (Milan 1980) / The Kids (Boston 1997) / The Bed (LA 2003 w/ ANOHNI) / Sad Song (Bonn 2012) / Outro

📝 Willy and/or Noodle? Only if you want to ☺️
📝 and a character and I'll do an analysis of them.
I have quite a bit to say about this which you may or may not agree with. This turned into a vent, I apologize
There was a post on here that said the 2023 version made the characters too nice and I have to agree with that, this coming from source material from a man who wrote people being turned into pigs (and pork being a source of food), an inn keeper killing and taxidermy-ing the young men who come by, a child nearly being eaten by a giant, countless orphans, being permanently turned into a mouse, made ducks hunt humans... Like come on
Noodle Smith / Noodle Slugworth
That little girl was depressed; she said she's never felt much hope or happiness. I wouldn't doubt she was deeply and clinically depressed, with all the things that came with it. Yes, she's a sweet girl in the movie but there was a quite a bit about her that concerned me which was glossed over or made to be quirky and fun: she's so cynical and realistic, having little imagination for a kid, her willingness to do dangerous things without batting much of an eye... Not to mention what's seen between her, Scrubitt, and Bleacher. Scrubitt was obviously calling the shots and I wouldn't doubt she was the main one beating, starving, and all around torturing Noodle, feeding her lies, beating her down mentally, and mentally manipulating her into not running away. I know that Dorothy, Noodle's mom, is going to have a booked calendar full of therapy visits with one hell of a fee. Poor girl was just a child with a Cinderella beginning.
Willy
Now Willy... He was much too nice. Yes, I get that this was a prequel so some people will be different, but this version was barely recognizable, not even having much of an inkling of the 1971's personality. There were seconds in the movie, but it really felt like the director told the actor to tone it down or didn't let the actor go all the way like he probably initially wanted. Lost potential. Willy, as an older adult, is a grey character; as an older adult, yes, but even then there are core bits of people that exist even when they were younger. This was missing from 2023 Willy. By 1971 his personality has been described as a bit of a narcissist
He's "innovative, flamboyant, stubborn, arrogant, and authoritarian. He loves to be the center of attention by putting on outrageous attire. He cannot stand questions and considers them as criticisms or threat. He always brags the products he creates to his guests." He wants to mold Charlie into being more like him for goodness sake
Where was this in the 2023 one? Aside from the clothes and the few, miniscule flickers of that crazy in his eyes? If you want to say like "he goes crazy from being paranoid, cheated, and being in isolation" which is true, there should have still been some of that beforehand. In 2023, he's a soft, generous guy who's a mama's boy at heart, which is nice, but showing the seeds of his narcissism that will bloom when watered with the ill fortune that's to come was what I was looking for. Like I said, he's a grey character; selfish, has some narcissism, but he can be a nice guy and be caring, but the 2023 didn't balance this well enough
As someone said on Tumblr somewhere: there's a reason he's been used as a sarcastic meme

Main Alias/Moniker: Professor X

Hair/Eye Color: Bald (Formerly Brown / Blue)
Timeline (1956 -1965): The Professor was the only child of a scientist and philanthropist. Brian Xavier fled his native Brazil, growing weary of the country's instability after World War II, and found easy sanctuary in the US by becoming a contracted scientist. He was initially set up in New York, where he first met Sharon Greymalkin. The Greymalkins were a wealthy and prestigious family until 1939, when Namor's attack on Manhattan left Sharon the sole survivor. She resolved to devote her inherited fortune to philanthropy, but the trauma over the loss of her family left her increasingly unstable and reclusive over the years, made worse when her daughter—the Professor's twin sister—perished in utero.
Some of the Professor's earliest memories were of the desert, when the whole family was briefly moved out to the Southwest as Brian participated in a top-secret government project. The Professor's father was a virtual stranger to him growing up, so much so that he said he felt next to nothing when Brian died in a freak lab accident when he was nine. His mother, on the other hand, was a different story. The Professor has ruminated that the earliest manifestations of his mutant power were unconscious attempts to console Sharon, though the sheer emotional distress Sharon was wracked with often overwhelmed the Professor. This unconscious application of his powers was intermittent across his adolescence. He couldn't make sense of it, so he never confided in it to anyone. In turn, people would regard the Professor as being incredibly smart and perceptive or too nosy or intrusive, depending on the situation.
Timeline (1965 - 1971): Less than a year after Brian's death, Sharon remarried.  The Professor's stepfather, Kurt Marko, came to prefer his meek, intelligent stepson over his own rowdy and rambunctious child, a preference that led to bullying and eventually outright abuse from the Professor's stepbrother, Cain. The first use of the Professor's powers in a hostile manner happened when he lashed out against Cain, sending a psychic shockwave that gave Cain an aneurysm. Cain miraculously recovered with no complications, and though he nor anyone back then had any proof of it, both Cain and the Professor had some sense of an understanding as to what happened. The abuse ceased after the incident, but Cain never hesitated to let the Professor know what a freak he was in Cain’s eyes.
The Professor became more curious than ever of his “mind quirks,” and poured himself into whatever reading he could get his hands on. This led to his late father’s library and personal journals, where the Professor first learned that part of both Brian and Kurt’s contracted research was in studying mutant genes on behalf of the US government. The research was apparently done as part of a larger contingencies towards planning contingencies towards “the mutant problem,” which greatly disturbed the Professor at the time. When he was fifteen, Sharon finally succumbed to her substance abuse and Kurt, overwhelmed at the prospect of tending to two teenage boys by himself, cajoled the Professor to expedite his high school education and begin college early.
Timeline (1971 - 1985): The Professor poured himself into his studies to avoid his familial anguish, as well as just keeping his powers in check. In three years, he had earned degrees in psychology, anthropology and psychiatry, and by twenty-five he earned his PhD in genetics. This tireless work effort came at a cost, both emotionally as well as physically. He grew cold, reclusive and detached, and grew thin and lost his hair prematurely before he turned thirty. He eventually took up a teaching position at Oxford, where he had resigned himself to the field of psychology, assisting people intangibly through his powers while never publicly outing himself as a mutant.
That all changed when Dr. MacTaggert—or Moira Kinross, as she was at the time—came into the Professor’s life. A passionate genetics major specializing in mutant theory, Moira’s zeal radically changed the Professor's life and perspective, the degree to which only one other person can lay claim to. It was Moira who first convinced the Professor that better understanding mutants were a matter of civil rights, and the Professor was so enamored with Moira that they became as romantically intimate as they were intellectually. Moira evidently spoke often of she and the Professor getting married, and leading the charge together in mutant research and advocacy, but the Professor remained hesitant to expose himself in such a way. Not just as a mutant, but being so intimately involved with someone who was still his student and protégé at the time.
Eventually, the Professor and Moira became intimately involved, during which time Moira would often speak of them getting married and leading the charge in research and advocacy. The latter fear came to pass once Joe MacTaggert, an admirer of Moira, uncovered their affair and blackmailed the Professor into leaving Oxford. The Professor complied, so filled with shame at the time he did not interact with Moira or confess the circumstances behind his sudden departure. He did, however, make sure to hold onto her lofty ambitions, going on an unofficial sabbatical traveling the world, seeking out and studying his fellow mutants. This is what brought the Professor to Cairo, where he detected the presence of another telepath and, assuming the best of intentions, wandered into the territory of crime boss Amahl Farouk. Saving the life of a man put in Farouk’s crosshairs, the Professor soon found himself locked in an intense psychic battle that he barely survived from. When he regained consciousness days later, he found himself in a small hospital in Tel Aviv. There, he met the man whose life he saved—and, in turn, saved the Professor’s.

Equal Rights, Status And Opportunities Vs Self-empowerment, Self-reliance And Self-respect: Let The Lady Of Feminist Movement Peggy Lam(林貝聿嘉) Explain To You What had Happened To Women In Hong Kong since 1950s
In youth, we run into stupidity. In old age, stupidity runs away from us. The harvest of old age is the abundance of lessons wisely learnt.
The great leader of feminist movement in Hong Kong Peggy Lam Pei Yu-dja (林貝聿嘉) who has been defending 3 important things, namely equal social and economic rights(權利), status(地位) and opportunities(機會) for women since 1950 laughed gracefully, “Wisdom is not a short process of schooling. It is a lifelong attempt to acquire it. It is a pity that many people stop learning when they feel confident. The biggest loser is the one who is old but not wise!”
Peggy, born in 1928, is still glowing and energetic. She placed her hand under the chin, “When we look back at the history of Hong Kong in the 50s, 60s and 70s, many discriminations against women were stupid and some were cruel. There are shameful examples. Women were not given education. Women were not allowed to work. Until 1971, polygamy and concubinage were legal in Hong Kong. Premarital sex for a woman was socially unacceptable. A man could desert a wife when she was infertile or unable to give birth to a boy. Divorced women and widows were looked down upon.”
She gave a long sigh, “Baby girls were given away or sold to other families as daughters or maid because they were perceived as liabilities. Some young girls were asked to work in nightclubs and bars, or sometimes even as prostitutes, to support the family. Women, by no choice, could only work as live-in domestic servants and the prospect of marriage was thus deprived. For the educated women who got office jobs, their salaries were two-thirds of the men’s. Pregnancy was a common reason for dismissal.”
She foamed at the mouth, “A woman was compelled by law to add the husband’s surname to her identity card. Many social clubs refused female membership and if women wanted to join, they could do so only when they managed to find a man to propose them as associate members. What a shame that some husbands nominated a mistress instead of a wife to be an associate member! When parents (even a mother!) passed away, they bequeathed family fortune only to the sons. Daughters often got nothing.”
I questioned, “How did you and other female leaders turn the ailing Hong Kong around?” She grinned cheerfully and patted her handbag, “Economic independence! If we count on others for a living, women can never be in free control of our lives and get genuine freedom! I worked my whole life in The Family Planning Association of Hong Kong (香港家庭計劃指導會) educating women to have birth control and should not, in those days, bear 5 to 10 children when the family could not afford…”
Peggy poured herself a cup of lemon tea, “Women were lucky in the 1960s because Hong Kong was turning into the production base of light industry in Asia. Being a factory worker was an alternative but common occupation for girls who, linked themselves up to the new concept of family planning, could go out to work for decent money by making plastic flowers, wigs, toys and transistor radios. Marriage, husband and children were no longer a woman’s governing destiny. By being economically free, women set off a wave of political and social independence in Hong Kong!”
I looked into Peggy’s eyes, “Do you remember what we and other committee members did in the 2000s when we were asked by the Government to take part in the Women’s Commission. She revisited her past, “Yes, we procured the Government to implement a policy that there should be at least 30% female appointees in any government consultation body or committee. Now, there are generally 30% to 50% women at the decision-making levels except in respect of the board of directors of private corporations. Our same kinds must gather to remove such imbalance in high positions."
The history of Peggy Lam goes back to 9 decades ago. Peggy was born in Shanghai but her mother was a Hongkonger. Her father was a Suzhou businessman and mother was a liberal-minded housewife. She told Peggy, “Unlike me, you must try to finish university education!” Despite World War II and civil war of China, Peggy struggled with studying alone in Shanghai in the 1940s and finally graduated as a social worker from University of Shanghai (滬江大學). She said, “A country, if weak, is vulnerable. Freedom of China lies in being strong!” In 1950, she travelled by ship to Hong Kong to reunite with her parents, 2 elder brothers and a younger sister. She planned to pursue a master’s degree in USA. Her renowned architect cousin, Ieoh Ming Pei (貝聿銘), who later designed the Pyramide du Louvre (羅浮宮金字塔), was working in America at that time. Fatalistically, she ran into the first campaigner of women’s rights movement in Hong Kong, Ellen Li (李曹秀群) and she, being a mentor, convinced Peggy to help her in liberating the poor local women. Peggy declined many regular job offers from the business world as her beliefs about gender equality were more than firm. She got married in 1955 and gave birth to a girl in 1957 who is now a doctor. Hong Kong has been her beautiful home.
The more Peggy fought for women’s rights, the more her efforts were recognised. Followers supported her to run schools, form women’s organisations and sports associations. She chaired Wan Chai District Council and turned herself into being a member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong vocal in her advocacy for women. She received countless honourary doctorate degrees, fellowships, medals and awards. Peggy smiled, “In a life’s time, I will also disappear. All these are no more than mementos for me. I just want to be remembered as a humble woman ardent for contributing to the sexual equality in which women and men in Hong Kong should be treated in the same way.”
She paused, “Women in Hong Kong today have to be alert about one thing. As gender gaps are pretty much closed in Hong Kong, some females have lost their capability of being kind and gentle. Some are as rude or bad as some men. They talk dirty on public transport, make physical attacks, commit crimes, take drugs and abuse kids. Their spiritual parts are rotten and this is not the equality that we should aim at. This is why I always insist that women must have ‘3 selfs’: financial self-reliance, self-empowerment in terms of ability and now most importantly, ‘self-respect’. If a woman fails to respect herself as a decent lady, men will view her with great contempt!”
Elegance and wisdom are timeless. They withstand age. Some young girls measure their beauty by how much their outside can entertain others. Peggy Lam, in her 90s, measures her beauty by how much her inside can serve others. She said, “I live by myself. I go around on my own. I stop buying clothes, cosmetics and jewels. Haha! I am still a beautiful woman when you can look into my soul!”
Let us salute Peggy Lam. It is the hardest thing in the world to work for a goal for more than 70 years. Because of women leaders like Peggy, women were emancipated and men can benefit from women’s strengths nowadays.

how to believe the legends i am told?
Since at least 1971, Medusa has been a powerful and sympathetic figure for women. For May Sarton, writing in 1971 (the earliest feminist source for Medusa I could find), Medusa is a facet of her own self. The poem, entitled The Muse as Medusa, asks a question that will haunt the intersection of feminism and mythology for decades to come: “I saw you once, Medusa; we were alone. / I looked you straight in the cold eye, cold. / I was not punished, not turned to stone – / How to believe the legends I am told?” (Sarton 1971). (Emphasis mine).
This theme – of looking Medusa in the eye and remaining flesh, untransformed – is used again by Emily Erwin Culpepper in 1986. Culpepper writes: “This Gorgon/Medusa image has been rapidly adopted by large members of feminists who recognize her as one face of our own rage. […] We are not repelled by the Gorgon’s face” (Culpepper 1986).
In both Sarton’s poem and Culpepper’s article, they present the idea that they are not turned to stone and are, in fact, possibly Medusa themselves. Culpepper adopts the face of the Gorgon to repel an attacker; Sarton, as if using a mirror, recognized Medusa as herself: “I turn your face around! It is my face. / That frozen rage is what I must explore -- / Oh secret, self-enclosed, and ravaged place! / This is the gift I thank Medusa for” (Sarton 1971). In both cases, Medusa’s rage is not a burden or even a curse, despite Athena’s intention when she transformed Medusa: it is a gift. Sarton expresses gratitude for such a gift and Culpepper employs it as self-defense, which fortunately succeeds.
None summarized this better than Stephen R. Wilk in 2000, in his book Medusa: Solving the Mystery of the Gorgon. In his chapter examining Medusa in modern times, he writes the following: “[…] only the Gorgon has the savage, threatening appearance to serve as an immediately recognized symbol of rage and a protector of women’s secrets. And although the Gorgon is hailed as the symbol of female rage, it is actually more than that – it is the symbol of empowered female rage. The Gorgon doesn’t merely threaten; it can carry out its threats. It can turn men into stone. It can frighten off the enemy” (Wilk 2000). This passage comes after he questions why Medusa is used as a symbol of feminine rage when Athena would work just as well, being a powerful Goddess of war. Athena might be powerful, but she is not innately terrifying in the way that Medusa is. Medusa, in all her horror, represents the rage of women who are forced to live every day under misogyny; and she is their power, too. Medusa is not beautiful. She is not kind. She is, though, the sort of woman that would make would-be rapists fear for their lives and give up attacking, as Culpepper experienced first-hand. Adopting Medusa is the same as hanging a sign on one’s body that says: keep out, a sign equipped with spikes and old, drying blood.
(Sarton’s poem and Culepper’s article can both be found in The Medusa Reader, edited by Marjorie Garber and Nancy J. Vickers.)

gay/queer references in Peter’s journals
Again, I have probably missed stuff due to going through pretty quickly and also due to having stared at this document for so long, everything has kind of blurred together.
Sometime close to the day that Carlos & I watched 'Love And Death on Long Island' (and afterwards paraded through the tea rooms of Picadilly) we both filled in application forms and were tres excited to be invited to the same group 'interview' - twas more like an audition though. I got the part. Carlos never. This did not bring any animosity - we both know that success for either of us is magnified a million times if it is shared by us both.
from 'A Diamond Guitar' by Truman Capote "Except that they did not combine their bodies or think to do so, though such things were not unknown at the (Prison), they were as lovers. Of the seasons, spring is the most shattering: stalks thrusting through the earth's winter-stiffened crust, young leaves cracking out on old left-to-die branches, the falling asleep wind cruising through all the newborn green. And with Mr Schaeffer it was the same, a breaking up, a flexing of muscles that had hardened. It was late January. The friends were sitting on the steps of the sheep house, each with a cigarette in his hand. A moon thin and yellow as a piece of lemon rind curved above them, and under its light, threads of ground frost glistened like silver snail trails. Tico Feo had been drawn into himself - silent as a robber waiting in the shadows."
Then a meet with Bounds Green's African prince outside whitechapel tube, rugged lookies at I in military attire & to a ruptured Albion rooms tidied in hours and now lids drawn heated on the eyes. A young looking fella has a crush on me.

There sat a young black man, perhaps in his early or middle twenties. He looked for all the world like the archetypal rude boy. Clean, cheap reebok, nike, adidas variously rolled, laced & zipped about his lean, spreadeagled body that hung loosely about the waiting room chair. Gold & tattoos adorned his person, and a blank animal look was attached to his clear face. He sat before me in a row of four empty chairs, staring at polished floor or the mundane television. A balding white man minced in & all perceptions were suddenly proven to be false as they embraced and snuggled up to each other, giggling & whispering & touching each others noses.... very much in love, fingers crossed for the blood tests.
[Image: an article from Gay Times of an interview with Peter. For some reason, the portrait included alongside the article is of Carl wearing a grey and black t-shirt.] Name? Peter Doherty Age? 22 Where are you? I'm on the motorway just north of Southampton. What kind of day are you having? (Vaguely) Erm... quite misty. Something's waiting around the corner, but there are no corners on the motorway, so we'll just have to wait and see what lies ahead. Maybe something will happen tonight.... What's this we hear about you once being a rent boy? Well, when times are hard, duty calls. How long ago was it? When I was 19, about three years ago. How do we know this isn't just a Shaun Ryder-type lie? 'Cause if it was, it would make me a complete scumbag and I'm not, and I'm not interested in that kind of pantomime. It wasn't a very happy time. I didn't really enjoy it. Why did you give it up? (grimly) Well, certain people disappeared... and anyway, ultimately I found myself no longer in such a vulnerable position anymore. Dawn broke, and I realised that it was a beautiful world after all. Have you done any other dodgy jobs? All of us in the band have tried to deal, but it's not good if you like the drugs too much. You just end up using them yourself! I once was a gravedigger. I used to do it with my mate in Willesden Green cemetery. We didn't actually do the digging, a machine did that, but we used to have to fill them in. It was pretty grim work. So are you gay then? Love is love, wherever it comes from. I'm not anything, really. I am a very sexual person but... I dunno, I believe in liberty... The Marquis de Sade has a lot to answer for... Do you get a lot of gay fans? Yeah - well, there's one guy in particular. He's very shy and he follows us around. He brings in letters and cards and stuff, but he's very quiet. I think John (the bassist) is the main pulling power in the band. Are you jealous about that? Nah! I've known him too long.
You know I'm alright i dont even care i like it when they stare & stare call me queer, dear oh dear a million things & what I wear He's real hard when he's with his mates but I'll saw him again & he was too late
Dear NME I'd have thought after the Gay Times piece, the interview with Rapture fanzine & our recent gig at the Slum Club everything would be clear. No it still remains to give a big hearty fuck off to all these twisted suburban types calling me a liar. Vulnerable young men & women all over the world find themselves victims of circumstance.

'Who,' asks Cliff Gorman, in his brilliant portrayal of the most effeminate of the homosexual group as they gather for a soul-searching party, 'Who do you have to fuck to get a drink around here?' Other homosexual manifestations to occur in movies around this time included an elliptical but unmistakeable male fellatio scene in John Schlesinger's Midnight Cowboy (1969) when Jon Voight, as a broke and disillusioned Texas stud importunes in a New York cinema....”

It reads:] “The Boys in the Band was displaced by an immeasurably more powerful portrayal of homosexual groups, Fortune and Men's Eyes (1971). Set in a Quebec prison, this disturbing, factually based drama vividly recounted the corrupted of a heterosexual convict trapped in a tough, potentially vicious homosexual society. In one horrifying scene, a weak, put-upon prisoner is gang-banged by his fellow inmates; in another, the 'hero' is blackmailed by his cellmate into accepting him as his lover for the duration...”
Like a cat on a hot tin roof Like a macho man in a roomful of poofs I have tried in my way to be free.

I insist, new book of Albion, befuddled by drugs I may yes about 2 but I do not miss out entirely on the subtleties of the inhuman relation ships that are this the mainstay of my stay here in one bounce of a loaf. Boys are fooled into fooling with boys. [...]
More general references/some extra explanations:
“The boy looked at Johnny” is a line from Patti Smith's song “Horses,” part one of a three-part song called “Land.” In the song, a young man named Johnny is assaulted by another man in a locker room; he then mentally journeys to other fantastical lands and visions. A lot of people interpret it as being about gay sex, although some people interpret it as being about a stabbing.
Peter quotes and references Jean Genet's writing and works about Jean Genet many times. While Genet's works are nearly all about crime and prison (one of Peter's main interests and points of fascination), all of his works are very explicitly gay. The Thief's Journal is more about Genet's various lovers than it is about his criminal history. Our Lady Of The Flowers is about a drag queen and her criminal lovers, and is also extremely erotic.
(“Jerome” is Jerome Alexandre, vocalist of The Deadcuts, who was friends with Peter and Mark Keds.)

HBO Max New Releases: April 2021
https://ift.tt/3kO4gS2
Fresh off the long-awaited arrival of Zack Snyder’s Justice League (a.k.a. the fabled Snyder Cut), HBO Max has no need to appease fandom culture in April 2021. But the streaming service is gonna do it anyway!
The most notable new release for HBO Max this month is the HBO series The Nevers. This show, created by Joss Whedon, is set in a 19th century steampunk London and finds a sizable portion of the population (predominantly women) having been “Touched” by mysterious paranormal powers. There’s an interesting bit of irony at play here, as HBO Max is following up the Snyder Cut with a show created by his original Justice League replacement. Or at least there could have been an interesting bit of irony here, if Whedon had not bowed out from the show and been enthusiastically left out of the marketing material by HBO.

Fandoms Roil Online as Joss Whedon Suddenly Quits His New HBO Show The Nevers
By Kirsten Howard
Aside from the awkward showrunning situation at The Nevers, HBO Max has quite a few other irons in the fire for April. The well-earned Infinity Train season 4 premieres on April 15. That will be followed up by the Kate Winslet-starring HBO miniseries Mare of Easttown on April 18. Not to be ignored is the movie side of things, with Mortal Kombat continuing WarnerMedia’s policy of releasing all 2021 films to HBO Max.
Meanwhile, The New Mutants will take a turn in the HBO Max library on April 10…for some reason. And the streaming services continue their game of Dark Knight Rises hot potato when the film premieres on HBO Max on April 17. Now all three Christopher Nolan’s Batman films can be streamed in their entirety. It will just take both Netflix and HBO Max subscriptions.

I realized prison films, especially "women-in-prison" films, were a huge cultural blind spot of mine. So, I've been spending the last month filling in the gap. In hindsight, I should've paced myself. The formula became tedious pretty quickly. But I still discovered some real gems. Here are some of my favorites, or some of the more interesting, of the genre.

Recounting 'Seven Sins' of the US' Alliance System
— Bu Wuwen | June 4, 2021 | Global Times
Tumblr media
Illustration: Liu Rui/GT
Alliance is the evil weapon of hegemony. This is a common consensus reached among most countries, and one of the founding missions of the United States of America.
George Washington, the founding father of the United States of America, had repeatedly warned the American people to prevent the country from copying its European allies' pursuit of hegemony. In his farewell address in September 1796, Washington reinforced the idea that it was their 'true policy to steer clear of permanent alliances with any portion of the foreign world."
The US, driven by its irresistible greed for power, is now ironically what its founding father forewarned of and the world abominates. American geostrategist Zbigniew Brzezinski declared that the supremacy of the US in the world is supported by a fine system of alliances that covers the whole world.
The US is now desperate to find its few remaining nickles, being the over-spender it is, after being struck by financial crises and the COVID-19 pandemic. As an incurable addict of hegemony, the US cast its eyes on its allies. The US has created a gang out of the alliance system, whose trail is full of partisanship and fratricide.
We shall now recount the seven sins of this gang. '7 sins' of the US' Alliance System Infographic: Wu Tiantong — Global Times
1. Concealment
Those who chase profits are often entangled together — Old Chinese saying
Japan has recently declared that it would directly discharge the radioactive wastewater from Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant into the Pacific Ocean, which has raised worldwide concern. Surprisingly, the US, a self-proclaimed shining beacon of environmental protection, human rights, and justice, betrayed Asian-Pacific countries and the Earth, and expressed "appreciation" in response to Japan's decision, exposing its hypocrisy.
None of this comes as a surprise. The US was always known for its double standards, where fairness and justice are nothing more than arbitrary fig leaves.
In Sharpeville of South Africa, during the apartheid era, the government opened fire on black demonstrators, killing 69 of them in the Sharpeville Massacre. In order to contain the former Soviet Union's influence in the Third World, the US could not accept losing an anti-communist ally. In the end, the "leader of the free world" cravenly defended the all-white government in South Africa without hesitation.
In fact, the standard criteria for the US' decision-making process are ideological confrontation and geopolitical interests. To serve its purpose, it stages nasty Faustian deals at any cost; it sells its soul to the devil in exchange for its gains.
2. Lying
We lied, we cheated, we stole. We had entire training courses. It reminds you of the glory of the American experiment. - Michael Pompeo
In the past two decades alone, the US-led Multinational Coalition and Coalition of the Willing caused countless tragedies by fabricating lies.
Using a tube of detergent as evidence of weapons of mass destruction, the US launched the Iraq War that killed 250,000 civilians in the Gulf country. Jessica Lynch, a female private in the US Army was injured in the war and saved by Iraqi medics. CNN, however, falsified the story and said that Lynch was tortured as a prisoner in Iraq, and was a witness for human rights abuses. In 2007, Lynch testified in a congressional hearing that the US Army made false claims about her capture.
A decade later, the US replicated the Iraq lie. It fabricated footages of Syria using chemical weapons on civilians, which was a convenient excuse for the US to launch air raids on another country. From 2016 to 2019, the recorded number of civilian deaths in Syria was 33,584. Half of the 3,833 victims killed by bombs dropped by the US-led coalition were women and children.
Fortunately, the truth is beginning to reveal itself. Recently Vice President Kamala Harris blurted out: "You know for years and generations wars have been fought over oil." This matches the American magazine Foreign Policy's comment that "safeguarding human rights" isn't the driving force for US' external warfare, but a means to seek interests.
Hegemony monopolizes absolute power and dehumanizes the US into moral bankruptcy. The historically flaunted promised land of progression and idealism has now fallen. All is lost.

3. Violence
The Americans of the United States have achieved this double result with a marvelous ease, calmly, legally, philanthropically, without shedding blood, without violating a single one of the great principles of morality in the eyes of the world. You cannot destroy men while better respecting the laws of humanity. - Democracy in America, Alexis de Tocqueville
Hegemony is by nature coldblooded. Throughout its 245 years of history, the Americans enjoyed as few as 16 years without war. From the end of WWII to 2001, the world had seen 248 armed conflicts in 153 regions, and 201 of them were started by the US.
In 1989, the US invaded Panama to depose the de facto Panamanian leader. In 1999, the US-led NATO forces, without authorization from the United Nations Security Council, bombarded the former Yugoslavia and "accidentally" bombed the Chinese embassy, killing three Chinese journalists. Since 2001, the US has started wars or military actions in Iraq, Libya, and Syria, leaving more than 800,000 dead and tens of millions of refugees.
The US military dragged its allies to wars that caused unprecedented refugee crises. Statistically, the number of refugees reached 11 million in Afghanistan, 380,000 in Pakistan, 3.25 million in Iraq and 12.59 million in Syria. About 1.3 million Afghans went to Pakistan and 900,000 to Iran. Of the Iraqi and Syrian refugees, about 3.5 million fled to Turkey and 1 million to Iran.
The US military always hit the headlines for its ruthless prisoner abuses. In addition, Australia proved to be a reliable lackey, allowing its soldiers to slaughter civilians in Afghanistan.
4. Plunder
The West won the world not by the superiority of its ideas or values or religion, but rather by its superiority in applying organized violence. Westerners often forget this fact; non-Westerners never do. - Samuel P. Huntington
In the US' alliance system, war is the most immediate way to plunder. The US, the world's top war machine, writes the word "plunder" on every page of its history of more than 200 years.
Dwight D. Eisenhower concluded his presidential term by warning the US about the increasing power of the military-industry complex. Michael Brenes, professor of history at Yale University, in his To Defeat the Radical Right, End American Empire pointed out that the American military has long been fertile ground for the far right and they together built the warfare state.
After unpegging the US dollar from gold in 1971, the US shaped a USA-US military-US dollar trinity to support its hegemony. In collaboration with its allies, the US grabbed control over the oil resources in the Middle East to prevent its dollar hegemony from falling apart, and also opened the door to plunder the region's wealth.
The US profits from every global crisis, such as from the crises in Russia and Eastern Europe when the former Soviet Union collapsed; from the Balkan Peninsula when the former Yugoslavia broke up; from the Four Asian Tigers and Southeast Asia during the Asian Financial Crisis. During the 2008 financial crisis, the whole world had to pay the American debt. Now, the US has brought out a $1.9 trillion stimulus package which, in fact, means massive amounts of banknotes will be issued to tamp down the exchange rates of foreign currencies, and consequently take advantage of the rest of the world.
Relying on its financial hegemony, the US has robbed tens of trillions of dollars from other countries. The victims, though filled with anger, are so afraid of the American military alliance which is armed to the teeth, that most of them choose to keep silent.
5. Infringement
The judicial system leaves you no room to have faith in it. It's like peeling layers and layers of onion skin. Every layer that you peel, your eyes get more teary to the point where you can't peel anymore because your eyes are so watery. You're literally weeping, and the Bible talks about this, until you have no more strength to weep. - Emmett G. Price III, host of WGBH, a public radio station located in Boston
The American alliance system expertly manipulates international rules. Power trumps justice in the pursuit of self-interest. The US chooses which international laws to enforce based solely on its convenience. In recent years, the US pulled out of the Paris Agreement, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the Treaty on Open Skies, and the INF Treaty, revoked the signing of the Arms Trade Treaty, and handled the renewal of the New START Treaty passively. It is addicted to breaching treaties.
Moreover, it feels glorified instead of being ashamed, and starts to advocate the "rules-based international order" in which the "rules" refer to its alliance's own rules and unequal terms.
The US and its allies challenged the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea with the Freedom of Navigation. They attempted to prevent the International Criminal Court (ICC) from investigating its crimes committed in the Afghan War at all costs, which included threatening the ICC investigation staff that they would be subject to retribution.
In the information sphere, the US is a hackers' empire. Early in the Cold War, it organized the notorious Five Eyes alliance to monitor electronic communications worldwide. The US blames others for information theft and cyber-attacks while it covertly obstructs cyber security.
In 2013, former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) employee Edward Snowden brought to light the PRISM program operated by the US, which was a surveillance program targeting both citizens and political figures on a global scale. Also in 2013, Der Spiegel disclosed that the National Security Agency (NSA) had installed spyware or modified hardware in the computers before they were delivered for foreign diplomats' use.
In 2017, WikiLeaks released thousands of confidential documents that exposed how the CIA was hacking the world. In 2020, it was revealed that since the end of WWII, the CIA has been controlling a Swiss encryption company to intercept top secrets of many countries, including its allies.
6. Destruction
Moral depravity defines US politics. The United States is regarded as the greatest threat to world peace. - Noam Chomsky, US philosopher
The US and its allies have long been the fallen angel that wreck foreign regimes and regional peace.
According to Covert Regime Change: America's Secret Cold War by Assistant Professor Lindsey O'Rourke at Boston College, in the 42 years between 1947 and 1989, the US had 64 covert subversions and six open operations. The US seems to show more excitement and enthusiasm for overthrowing foreign regimes than it does for celebrating Christmas.
After the Cold War, the US has turned into an even more unscrupulous interventionist. Its frequent attempts to export the Color Revolution brought the Arab Spring. Unfortunately, it only brought an Arab Winter and an Arab Disaster.
In his On Western Terrorism: From Hiroshima to Drone Warfare, Noam Chomsky sorrowfully wrote, "This relatively short period has arguably seen the greatest number of massacres in human history. Most of them were performed in the name of lofty slogans such as freedom and democracy."
The US boasts its grandiose offshore balance strategy with its soft power and smart power when in reality, it is merely thick black theory full of schemes. In contrast to the Eastern tradition of valuing harmony and peace, the Anglo-Saxon world (the US and the UK) believes that disagreements and conflicts equals opportunity.
The US manipulated NATO to squeeze Russia's geo-space, and undermined the EU-Russia reconciliation and oil pipeline program. It supported Brexit to cripple the EU and reinforce US' control over Europe. It sowed discord in the Middle East in order to control the oil resources and made Iran an enemy of the region.
When it comes to China, the US spares no effort. The US rocked the boat in the South China Sea and made provocations, which led to turbulence in regional stability. It casts controllable tension on the Korean Peninsula and the Taiwan Straits to hinder peace progresses. At the China-India border, it fanned the flames of conflicts and mediated in favor of India. It also used the Quad to lure India into confronting China, intending to cause a lose-lose fight between the two developing giants.
Recently, the US obstructed the passing of a joint statement on ceasefire and cessation of violence and the protection of civilians at the Security Council despite the ongoing escalation of the Palestine-Israel situation and the overwhelming majority of UNSC members' call for an immediate ceasefire. Rather than taking proactive measures to promote peace, the US stands ready to fuel tension.
Time and time again, history has proven that the US and its allies always bring with them trouble and turmoil.
7. Disunion
In a war, you can only be killed once, but in politics, many times. - Winston Churchill
Forty years ago, the US forced Japan to sign the Plaza Accord to secure its economic supremacy. The Japanese hi-tech industry was dismantled and the Japanese economy crippled for decades. Today, it turns to South Korea and Chinese Taiwan, threatening to relocate their semiconductor industries back to the US.
From 2009 to 2017, the US imposed its long-arm jurisdiction on Europe, whereby it collected US$190 billion in penalties, monopolized massive quantities of personal information, and forcefully took over European enterprises that were sanctioned. In an attempt to reap profits, the Wall Street recently tried to overturn the century-old European football world by forming an independent European Super League, which was widely resisted and disgracefully aborted.
The COVID-19 outbreak put the US in the spotlight. The egomaniac that it is, the US selfishly fed itself even at the cost of its allies. The mask war between the US and its allies is indeed an abomination.
Ever since they have developed the COVID-19 vaccines, the US has ranked its allies. It is generous to Anglo-Saxon purebreds like the UK and Australia, lukewarm to Europe and other common allies, but haggles over ounces with Japan and South Korea.
Japan, challenged by the upcoming Olympics and the worsening pandemic, received no vaccines from the US. The Japanese Prime Minister had to beg American vaccine companies. The vaccination rate is 1 percent in Japan, which is only one fiftieth of the US. The South Korean foreign minister also begged the US for help but heard a resolute no.
At the early stage of the pandemic, India offered the Trump administration large quantities of hydroxychloroquine (HCQ). Now that India is in the midst of a severe pandemic, it has received neither the vaccine raw materials that the US promised, nor any American oxygen or inhalators.
The US is an octopus and its allies are its tentacles. It uses them to try and rule the world but stay alert to prevent them from growing too strong. Once its interests are threatened, the octopus won't hesitate to cut off one or more of the tentacles or even feed on them.
So how could such an egoist and a corrupted alliance system take on global governance? How could they shamelessly claim to represent the international community?
After the Vietnam War, former Senator J. William Fulbright expressed his deep concern about the aggrandizement of the Arrogance of Power that would incur immeasurable destruction, and excessive expansion that would result in the nation's decline.
Recently, renowned American scholar Joseph Nye rang the alarm again: more and more countries are beyond the control of the US. It is extremely dangerous to believe the US is invincible.
What goes around comes around, and where vice is, vengeance follows. There will be severe penalties for the seven sins committed by the US. Justice may be served later, but it will never be absent.

Pra Sangkajai / Pra Sangkachai
In Thailand, Budai is sometimes confused with another similar monk widely respected in Thailand, Pra Sangkajai or Sangkachai. Pra Sangkajai, a Thai rendering of Maha Kaccana or Mahakaccayanathera, was a Buddhist Arhata (inSanskrit) or Arahant (in Pali) during the time of the Lord Buddha. Lord Buddha praised Pra Sangkadchai for his excellence in explaining sophisticated dharma(or dhamma) in an easily and correctly understandable manner. Pra Sangkajai (Maha Kaccana) also composed the Madhupinadika Sutra (Madhupindika Sutta MN 18).
One tale of the Thai folklore relates that he was so handsome that once even a man wanted him for a wife. To avoid a similar situation, Pra Sangkachai decided to transform himself into a fat monk. Another tale says he was so attractive that angels and men often compared him with the Buddha. He considered this inappropriate, so disguised himself in an unpleasantly fat body.
Although both Budai and Pra Sangkajai may be found in both Thai and Chinese temples, Pra Sangkajai is found more often in Thai temples, and Budai in Chinese temples. Two points to distinguish them from one another are:
1.Pra Sangkajai has a trace of hair on his head (looking similar to the Buddha’s) while Budai is clearly bald.
2.Pra Sangkajai wears the robes in Theravadin Buddhist fashion with the robes folded across one shoulder, leaving the other uncovered. Budai wears the robes in Chinese style, covering both arms but leaving the front part of the upper body uncovered.
......................................................
Yant Ha Maha Chindamanee or Yant Maha Chindamanee of Luang Phu Tim of Wat Lahan Rai is a formula of ancient Khmer cabalistic writings and a diagram that includes;
1)I Swa Su the heart of i-thi-pi-so, a heart of sermon to praise and worship to Buddha, his teaching (Dharma), and Buddhist Priests (Sanggla).
2)Nam Mo Put Ta Ya, the Five Buddhas Cabalistic Writings.
- Nam refers to Kakusandha, or Krakucchaṃda Buddha, water element, with power of  Metta Maha Niyom (it helps bring loving, caring, and kindness, and compassion from people all around you to you).
- Mo refers to Koṇāgamana Buddha, earth element with power of Kongkraphan Chatrie (it makes you invulnerable to all weapon attack), safety and protection of all danger.
- Put refers to Kassapa Buddha, fire element with power of Ponggan Poot-pee pee-saat Kunsai Mondam Sa-niat jan-rai Sat Meepit (it helps ward off evil spirit, demon, bad ghost, bad omen, bad spell, curse, accursedness, black magic, misfortune, doom, and poisonous animals).
- Ta refers to Gautama Buddha, air element with power of Long-hon Gambang-ton (it makes you invisible through the eyes of your enemies or people who have bad intention to do harm to you).
- Ya refers to Maitreya Buddha, the future Buddha, the element in the state of emptiness or space with power of wealth & prosperity, and upcoming glorious life, career and business.
3)Na in the middle and Ma A U at both sides.
Na, a cabalistic writing with the power of Metta Maha Niyom (bringing loving, caring, and kindness, and compassion from people all around you to you). The Ma A U refers to the power of Buddha, his teaching (Dharma), and Buddhist Priests (Sanggla).
4)Na Ma Pa Ta at the bottom.
The Na Ma Pa Ta Cabalistic Writings or Pra Khata Hua-jai That Tang Si, the heart of 4 elements which are Water with power of Magic charm and Metta Maha Niyom (making people around you love you, be nice to you, and willing to support you for anything), Fire with power of Kongkraphan Chatrie (making you invulnerable to all weapon attack, and creating miracle, Earth with power of Ponggan Poot-pee pee-saat Kunsai Mondam Sa-niat jan-rai Sat Meepit ( helping ward off evil spirit, demon, bad ghost, bad omen, bad spell, curse, accursedness, black magic, misfortune, doom, and poisonous animals), Wind with power of protective shield, invisibility in the eyes of the enemies, and hypnosis.
In conclusion, the Yant Ha Maha Chindamanee or Yant Maha Chindamanee of Luang Phu Tim of Wat Lahan Rai contains the power of “Buddha-khun Krop Chakkawan” means all safety and all protection, and Metta Maha Niyom (making people around you love you, be kind to you, and support you for anything), bringing Wealth, happiness, success, prosperity and abundance.
