Aside from the fact that narrative misdirection is a thing and that I think it would completely contradict all the themes of the story thus far to just have her be Makima 2.0 and inherently evil...

We don’t actually know if she and Yoru recognize each other or not? Even on a subconscious level. If she does recognize Yoru (and, reasonably, knows how her powers work) calling Yoru a thief could have meant that “You are trying to steal Denji’s spinal cord to make a weapon” or even “You have stolen this random girl’s body to use for yourself.” (Even if she doesn’t know specifically that Yoru is sharing Asa’s body, she might still be able to tell that something weird is going on?)

She’s still a child, she might have just impulsively said the smallest amount of words that would sort-of convey what she was feeling.

I’m not worried yet.

grieving with family is so complicated, cause sometimes, no matter how much I love them, I just... can't with them.

each person in my family keeps trying to force their way of grieving, their way of coping onto the people around them.

people keep telling me how I'm supposed to feel, how I'm supposed to react, and that's one thing, I can handle it.

but my aunt (my uncle who passed's wife) keeps having people tell her how she's supposed to move on, and it's driving me bonkers. they keep telling her that finding out more answers about his death is not gonna fix things, that it's gonna not gonna ease her pain, that she just... shouldn't.

and like. yeah. there's a point to be had. but as someone who lost someone very close to me (my papa) very similarly, like, please, please, *please* stop telling her how she's supposed to fucking feel. like. oh my fucking God.

I swear.

it's been a few days, let us grieve how we're gonna grieve for just a minute. wanting answers isn't unhealthy. processing real or imagined guilts and coming to terms with it and clearing it isn't unhealthy. letting people grieve for a minute how they're naturally grieving is so important.

there does come a point where certain forms of grief become unhealthy, but trying to force someone to grieve differently DAYS after the death occurred, is like... such a dick move in my mind, especially when it's just the natural progression of thought and emotion and everything.

I don't know if I make any sense, especially cause I'm trying to leave as much detail out as possible, I just need to vent all this anger and frustration out before I snap.

Anime only watchers and people who aren't caught up with the Manga, BEWARE... Cuz I'm about to discuss Spy X Family Short Mission 9... You have been warned...! 👌

You know what's funny? Last night, before I fell asleep, I just had a feeling that today's chapter was either gonna be a Short Mission or another beautiful illustration... Turns out...

I WAS RIGHT ABOUT BOTH!! 😆

So let's get into them, shall we...? 😏

First, the Special Illustration...

I LOVE IT SO MUCH!😍

It's autumn themed (like the new opening for the anime) and it's the first time in Spy X Family manga history that a Special Illustration was paired with a chapter...! And I just think that's neat! 😄

And now, on to Short Mission 9!

It follows our favorite "For The Mission™" father, Loid Forger, trying to make Anya get better at school...

And he finally remembers that Anya can learn from her favorite cartoon, Spy Wars (as seen in Mission 11 of the manga...!)

So what does Loid do with this recently rediscovered information...? 🤔

THIS MAN DOES A THANOS AND SAID: "FINE... I'LL DO IT MYSELF!" AND DECIDES TO MAKE MORE SPY WARS...!! 🤣(You can't make this stuff up...!! 😂)

Twilight adds drawing, voice acting and animation to his skill set, cuz y'know... IT'S FOR THE MISSION™... 😌 (Also, Franky's there to help out...!! 😁)

And after all their hard work... IT IS DONE!😆 (Seriously though, Twilight and Franky couldn't get any of the other agents to help out...!? Twilight is truly carrying WISE!! 😌)

AND THIS IS PROBABLY MY FAVORITE PART IN THIS ENTIRE SHORT MISSION: 🤣
