Things Louis said at his signings
Answers given during his FITF signing sessions 5-9 December 2022. By no means complete obviously, just what UAs shared and I happened to find on twitter.
Skipped talk about football, food, countries, tour/festival plans, pinky promises, his arm, whether he likes or will sing his own songs, and customer service autopilot responses.
Allegedly (no video/audio taken or shared):
Favourite song is Seasons by The Snuts x; he wouldn’t cover The Snuts because he loves them too much and don't wanna mess it up x; and his favourite song on The Snuts' latest album Burn The Empire is The Rodeo x
Favourite Marvel movie is Spider-Man 1 with Tobey Maguire x; Tobey is his favourite Spider-man x
Favourite movie is Finding Nemo x
Favourite song from Green Day is Jesus Of Suburbia x
Favourite supermarket is ASDA x
He’d rather play electric than acoustic guitar on stage x
Audio/video in link:
Changes Louis co-wrote that ended up being blackbear song he wanted for himself x
Favourite MV to film was Steal My Girl, of his own videos Walls and DLIBYH "where I got to pretend to be a bankrobber for a day that was pretty good" x
Favourite Christmas song is Driving Home for Christmas x
He's the big spoon x
He thinks his Hogwarts house is Slytherin x
He'd legalize weed if he could x
He thinka Headline sounds like a Blossoms song x
That sound in Holding On To Heartache after "heartache" is "like a guitar under water" x
Favourite Grease song is Hopelessly Devoted To You x x
Favourite friends character is Joey x
Favourite Disney movie is the Lion King x
Also a recap of day 1 here. Also pics.

I know Louis' your fave so I hope it's okay that I send you this. But recently the blinkers have been coming off for me in regards to Louis. I think I used to have him up on a bit of a pedestal. I just thought he was this really intelligent guy, really aware of social issues and willing to fight for the right thing and be rebellious when necessary. I don't know. I saw things playing out very differently. But unfortunately, lately, I've been seeing a lot of laziness and complacency and a willingness to settle from him. A lot of contradictions as well. Like he gets the anarchist symbol tattooed but doesn't speak out or place his support behind anything substantial. I'm sorry, legalizing weed is his most political stance. And then being seen with the Starbucks cup and actually covering it in the video like lmao. Not knowing what number year your festival is when he supposedly had big dreams for it. I know this is so small but it irks me that he's been going on about playing the guitar for years. And he is yet to bring it on stage for even one song! I know it comes from a place of self-doubt and insecurity no matter how confident he makes himself appear but like he just doesn't help himself. And fans exaggerating and praising every little thing he does as if he isn't just some basic white man does my head in. Sorry I word vomited on you and I know this sounds harsh but I acknowledge it comes from a bitter place where I feel like his potential is just not being met. At the end it's his life and I genuinely hope he doesn't have many regrets later on.
hi babe
I think I am completely in the same situation as you! I might not be triggered by exactly the same things but I’ve been going over and over it for the last couple days asking myself why I’m so annoyed with him right now?? And I think it really is just the disappointment finding out your fave man is after all, just a man.
Like, to me, it feels like he’s been stagnant since early 2023. right now, to me it feels like he’s just on the hunt for the cheap thrill, getting the validation in that he also can pull massive crowds of screaming girls just like he did during 1D (and it isn’t even the actual validation he’s looking for??? Like he still starts yapping every time a man validates him as if it’s so much more important??)
I feel like he lost focus, or energy, or both. You know, you said it!! You know I love Louis to death, he’s my favourite, and genuinely, I don’t blame him. It makes a lot of sense to me. He’s finally proven himself to not be a flop to all the people doubting him. He’s overcome all the obstacles, did LTWT and had massive success with it, way beyond anyone expected, rode that wave, made a second album that proved he’s not a one hit wonder either, an album he actually enjoyed making, and proved his fans liked it, too. And then… it just kind of stagnated. His team made mistakes and miscalculations. Announcing Asia tour so short notice thinking, then cancelling bc it didn’t sell out, handling the announcements horribly, not realising LTWT was massive bc of all the pent up excitement and desire throughout years of a pandemic, the magnetism of it being the first solo world tour. They also didn’t get it when it came to Milano Summer fest vs. AFHF. The 35k sold out bc it was announced many months in advance and it was the last LTWT show - that’s meaningful to fans. It was easily accessible. You can’t translate just the numbers to „it’s bc he’s popular in Italy,“ there’s so many factors at play they ignored, and therefore AFHF Italy only sold 2/3 of tickets, and a lot of these people didn’t even show up (couldn’t, I better say).
For me, FITF felt like he had checked out a little. He’s plateauing. The excitement and irresistible draw he has is largely due to his resilience, his underdog persona he created that allows normal people to identify with him. And there just wasn’t any… growth since early 2023. He‘s also alienated a large part of his fandom with the bbg pushes, and as you know, I still believe it was all part of the bigger plan to end it, but it does feel like he gave up, got comfortable. And it’s not that I blame him for it necessarily?? Like all he’s been through? It makes a lot of sense to me that now he’s achieved all the things people told him he wouldn’t be able to achieve, that now the burn out sets in, that now, the driving energy of spite and wanting to prove himself has run out.
I feel like the jokes of “oh I’m a pothead I can’t remember if it’s the third or fourth edition of my super duper important close to my heart festival project” or “oh yeah sometimes I forget I’m an actual parent and have a kid” are getting old. Like, it doesn’t serve him anymore it feels like? To me it feels like the weed was a coping mechanism that helped him get through hard times, and that’s completely valid, but now it looks like to me it’s holding him back, blurring his genius.
I’m sorry for the rant back to you. I’m deeply upset because Louis is my escape, my happy place, fandom is my comfort, and I feel like it’s slipping through my fingers because it causes me more upset than happiness at this point. The amount of “kill yourself” messages I have gotten over criticising louis for announcing AFHF so short notice is frankly INSANE. Do people not talk to other people in real life?? How do the people around these people that send those messages deal with them in real life?? It’s so upsetting to see how many people feel comfortable typing out these kind of messages and sending them.
I do hope this feeling of mine calms down, and I can go back to just glorifying louis and have him as my comfort place, because I do not like the thoughts I have and the way it makes me feel.

What sort of set list do you think we could get for festival louis? Do you think he'll change it up much? (other than shortening it I guess if he's not headling!) ♥️🖤
And what set list would you want for festival louis (If different to his current FITF set!)
Hi, anon! Your guess is as good as mine, Louis is unpredictable that way. I really loved the 2023 afhf setlist, it was perfect for a festival, the set was full of energy and i was hyped up the whole time! I doubt he'll have time to perform the full setlist though even when he's headlining (i've never been to a festival so i don't really know what the norm is in terms of the sets duration). I think from walls, kmm will be the only surviver 😂. And from fitf, i feel Louis already got rid of the slower songs on the album except for Saturdays (a crime in my opinion) so no chance we'll get ttwlg or common people or my beloved lucky again 😔. I think we can say goodbye to bigger than me in the festival era 😭 bc i don't think he'll play it. I feel like Waoyf is in danger too (he better not take it off the setlist though 🔪🔪) and so is Chicago and angels fly. Megamix is in danger as well but I feel Louis loves it too much to take it off the setlist and everyone deserves to hear all this time live at least once in their lives so don't you dare Louis. I think the greatest, face the music, ooms, Saturdays, silver tongues, holding onto heart ache and bty rock version are the ones that will for sure make it to the setlist and paradise, maybe. I'm really hoping that he'll surprise us all and add headline to the setlist permenantly. That would be the perfect setlist for festival season in my opinion especially if he adds defenceless and always you, maybe even otb to some of these shows 🥺 And i'll be even more delusional and manifest a new single and guitar Louis on stage 😁.

Your anon (although it was meant to be sent to awesomefringey) just reminded me that Louis follows an update account on twitter which is ran by one of the biggest rad Louies who trashes Harry non stop and says he is sabotaging Louis' career. So him blocking HLD does rub me the wrong way, especially when his team still goes to them to promote Louis' projects, and post tiktoks where they're browsing the HLD account. I must admit that I've gone off Louis lately because his FITF promo revolved around smoking and drinking, and back handed compliments about Harry that were easily twisted by the media. As if Harry doesn't get dragged by 1D fans enough. Then BMG blaming Harry and Niall for Louis not getting radio play was... ridiculous considering there were times when the radio was playing all of the boys' music. But anyway, maybe Louis going on tour again will turn things around. I'm still a little skeptical because he seems to be pushing this laddy image hard so I'm partly expecting to see more of that. But maybe he'll surprise us. It'll be interesting to see, and I expect to see him play the guitar!
Hi sweetheart. I know. I struggle with similar feelings about his image and promo tactics. It’s very frustrating. I hope tour shifts something and we get to see different aspects of his personality highlighted. And yes to playing guitar! That would be so cool.

"The point is that if anyone else was making music like that, they would be played on the radio" No they wouldn't. His music really isn't what's popular on BBC 1 or Capital these days. 1D's music isn't what's popular anymore either. That was 7-11 years ago. Even if it was, his voice is kind of an acquired taste. Some people absolutely love it but most don't. Sorry I know nobody likes to hear this but it's so onesided on Louie blogs.
I disagree lol walls(song) could have done very well on radio, it's literally a guitar driven ballad which is still one of the most popular type of songs and probably will always be , same goes for Chicago. I personally think lucky again is the most radio friendly song on fitf and like louis said its the perfect easy listening, drive around song and people would 100% like it. ooms could fit on the more rocky stations and it could also do great.
and his voice might be an acquired taste but hell, how are people gonna acquire it if they never even hear it ?? just like for everything in the world some would like it and some wouldn't but we'll never know until people hear his music

Chicago anon here, 1. Why are you guys obsessed with Louis getting pegged? When it's H it's all about gender but when it's Louis is about fucking? C'mon now. 2. My brother is a radio station host and apparently there *might* be an all track FITF listening parties but Asia-specific so some BMG employee gave them an early access to the tracks. Only listened to the Chicago one though. All I got to say is that if Mitch had a awesome solo at She. Michael/Isaac/Whoever plays acc. guitar would have a awesome (but melancholic sad) solo too in Chicago. It's a sad impactful song. Has a lot of layers into it but guess people would turn it into a blouie song... sadly. Your choice about licking this grain of salt :D
Hiii again!!! Aaaaa we love a guitar solo! Thank you for coming back with more xx

Which songs do you consider more indie? I don't feel like he's ever done anything too out there.. most of his songs could be 1D songs. I actually wish he would lean harder into the pop rock sound like Holiday or Paradise or Miss You. I don't see him losing any OG fans for having the level of edge of Paramore or Olivia Rodrigo.
Hi, anon!
I don't think he's done anything too out there either, yet. He's got some songs leaning into pop rock, punk rock, synth-pop/rock and some with a very Gallagher-y sound. The rest i consider to be within the pop genre. Chicago i almost get country-pop vibes from. FITF is all over the place sound wise.
I think if he strays too much away from the pop genre over to rock and punk rock he's going to lose fans. Louis strengths as an artist are good lyrics and great melodies. He's best at mid-tempo songs and pop-ballads. His voice fits those type of songs best too. His lyrics and songs are often very romantic and have romantic themes. That fits well within that genre.
I think his fans, from his 1D days, prefer pop music over rock or punk rock music. Pop music is more relateable, catchy and generally loved. Fans don’t want guitars or drums drowning his passionate love declarations. The Gallagher-y songs makes his voice sound whiny and grating and i don't like that. Indie or punk rock songs are less radio friendly too. Paramore and OR are in the genre i call teenage angst rock. I don't think music like that would fit his current fanbase nor his (potential) new target audience. He's not a teenager anymore either (even though he acts like one).
I personally don't like rock music and definitly not punk rock. Melodic rock music is okay, so I actually like Paradise a lot, but i don't like Holiday at all. The lads at the pub in Doncaster songs as i call them i would love for him to quit making; Saturdays, Silver Tongues, Common People, TTWLG and High in California. I don't relate to them at all and i find them immature and dated. Face the Music is soundwise always a skip for me, same with Ooms. Ftm would never have made the album if he didn’t intend it for a live audience. It's not a good album track.
I'd love for him to make more catchy songs like Waoyf. I would also love more songs like Change, All this time and my fave Copy x3. Copy is also Gallagher-y but not too much. That's the way to go if he wants to move away from pure pop. I have to say that i love all his pop songs (habit, hoth, lucky again, angels fly, the way i do and chicago). I think he should stick to making catchy pop songs, but it's not my decision to make.
If he does move away from pop music even more i'm concerned about him being less relatable with his songs, lyrics and themes, not playing to his strengths and being less commercial and harder to promote. If he can't get the indie fans on board his streaming numbers will suffer. His choice of singles and the order of the singles are also bad, but that's nothing new from him unfortunatly. So it will be interesting to see where this all leads.

2022 louie wrap
favorite Walls song: Defenseless, always and forever <3
favorite fitf song: All This Time, Holding Onto Heartache, Saturdays, High in California
favorite fitf single: Silver Tongues (imo it should have been the main single, for radio push and live performances)
favorite fitf mv: Silver Tongues for the story and the overanalyzing it gave us, but BTM was great - simple, cinematographic, gave us Louis wearing Blundstones and a beautiful burn orange jacket so....
most played song on Spotify by Louis: I don't have Spotify but my go-to song from FITF has become Lucky Again so I'm sure it's the most played now
favorite louis lyrics: There's endless versions of the thing / That keeps me driftin' back to darkness
louis life lesson: That you can live your life according to your principles and values but also it is hard to figure out who you are and to stay true to yourself. That life isn't easy but it's worth living. To be brave <3
favorite louis outfit: Without hesitation the Amsterdam yellow mesh polo. I loved all the patterned polos he started wearing when FITF era started. Loved him in Burberry as always, especially the knit shirt from AUS; in London Palace; in Pain is Pleasures. Loved all his 28OP tour outfits, I hope he launches the brand in 2023!
favorite live performance: from LTWT 2022, the shows that I was lucky enough to attend, especially Portland n2! Hearing the Fearless guitar solo, 7 and Beautiful War live was truly amazing. From FITF LIC, I'd say everytime he performed Saturdays because the emotion gave me chills EVERYTIME. I did NOT enjoy AFHF 2022 and all the stress that I endured only for Louis to cover another freaking 1D song... ugh
favorite tour show: Portland n2, because it was crazy and I was there (?!?!?), but also my show in Vancouver for all the good memories (and a seated venue!) and queuing and having a good spot for Oakland, which meant I saw Louis wearing his 28OP black turtleneck up close.... From the IG livestreams, Dallas (remember the collective sigh we let out once the first show was finished), Austin (slut!louis rise), Philly (remember that IG user with their cane? incredible moment). Taormina was also really special with the venue and the fact we thought he would sing BTL live and he trolled us about it.
thanks to @elceeu2morrow and @throughmycigarette for tagging me! this was fun! tagging @bbrox @louis-in-red @milf-louis @random-hot-mess and @captainlouisuniverse and everyone who feels like doing this! thank you to @goodmorningtoyouuniverse for starting this game!

If we get have Louis play guitar on stage for one song from each album, what would you choose?
I’m thinking kill my mind from walls, for sure. But from fitf I’m divided between the greatest, face the music, ooms and silver tongues 🤔
..actually headline would be pretty cool, in a cute way, too. I can’t wait for tour content, ugh!!
okok i'm gonna answer one for acoustic and one for electric, bc i see you going for the latter while my first thought was acoustic!! i think it would be fantastic to hear him do a stripped down version of dont let it break your heart, and then electric i'll say none bc i don't want him to be static for kmm and that's the song that makes the most sense, i agree. for fitf an acoustic version of lucky again would kill us all, and then electric moment ooms i think. or face the music. but i think those high energy moment are so cool with him being active on stage, and im assuming he wouldn't be that active with a guitar, so i actually don't want him to give that up hahah

hi sea!! i really appreciate your (and sooo many other lovely louies') presence in our fandom! thank you :) i hope this tour is everything we all wish for. no doubts tho i know louis will deliver. is there anything in particular you want from fitf tour? i want to cry to chicago and hoth then shake my ass to waoyf. and then obviously some nice tanktops and ass shaking from louis.
My one wish is to see Louis play guitar on stage. I really hope he will cross that barrier and give us this moment. I know he’s ready.
