I was watching everything going down today, and Soulfire would always end up claiming the tasks. Because their fate had been sealed the moment Etoiles first killed Pierre in the Egg Wars. When GG diverted their path to Red and went attack Soulfire first, breaking their trust and causing the removal of their egg

It made Pierre and Bad extremely paranoid about any kind of deal with GG. Pierre spent the entire day holding back from claiming them and letting Tubbo talk him out of it until a moment he was left unattended with his paranoia. For him, he was just biting back. Green had lunged at them already. A cold cut decision that wouldn't bring pain, right? No fight needed, just a click of a button, and its done

And then green players started logging in and Bad almost claimed them in panic, but he held back for Tubbo, even with all the pain GG had put him through. But he holds and watches Tubbo trying to make a deal with almost everyone and failing. He finally gets Roier and ElQ but only Roier is able to claim. Pierre and Bad appear, not even understanding what's happening, so this means Tubbo must be a traitor, right? They're scared. Roier is the reason their statue was gone. And Tubbo didn't explain

Not to add the fact both teams would die in case it ended up as a tie. And why would ElQ want to tie the numbers when Eye Guy told him everyone would die? ElQ would have Tubbo alone with him and Roier. Just one kill and Soulfire wouldn't be on time. ElQ planned on betraying Tubbo from the start

Soulfire did what it does best. Bark back and bite at the hands that hurt them. Their wins are never satisfying because they're always desperate, needing to survive another day. They'll do all it takes for their egg

Just saw a post saying that it didn't feel right for q!Baghera to bond with q!Jaiden about their neutrality for Cucurucho especially considering what recenty happened to q!Forever. And at first, yeah okay, it's definitely unealthy, I understand, HOWEVER what made me do a double take is the later comment "It makes sense for q!Jaiden because it's her character but I'm disappointed in q!Baghera." And I was confused, because her pov makes sense in that. And then I saw the "I don't watch her pov, it's just what I see of her character." and that's where I went "OH, I can help with that ! :D" Because it does make sense form her pov.

So, time to clarify :

First of all, talking about Baghera (it's the character from now on) and Cucurucho's relationship, she has never been anti Cucurucho. She has always shown compassion for him. HOWEVER it was never in the way "he's a perfect little guy, it can do no wrong" but more in a "They might not have free will, someone or something might be suffering under all this. "

Because that's the thing, Cucurucho is not just Evil Guy tm that uses the fact he's nice to people in order to manipulate people on his side, it's a anthropomorphic white bear, with a robotic voice, godlike powers, and that might not even have free will or anything. To her POV there might be someone suffering. Does it know what it's doing, Can it make choices on it's own, Was something transformed against their will to become this. Are all those acts Cucurcho or the Federation using him ?

Their is then the shock and the recent revelation. You have to realise it's not just "the trauma she rediscovered is blinding her a little bit on some subjetcs." It's so much more intense. The PTSD was so intense she dissociated for 2 full weeks. The Federation had to go fetch her in order for her not to die. It was clear that this happened before AND can happen again. This is one of the reasons she tends to just clock out important and negative details that can induce stress, ESPECIALLY since she discovered she was created entirely by the Federation, in her pov yes Forever is part of her chosen family, but at the same time a BOMB of an information was dropped on her and the first reaction you have is not "It's okay, they are not my chosen family, I'm gonna focus on the people I care about." It's "WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK DOES THAT MEAN ABOUT ME" And that might be something she sees in Cucurucho, it might have raised her. And it might be in a similar situation. She was also so Anti-Federation for so long that now that she knows she was made by them, that she can't escape them, she is so terrified that people would start seeing the Federation in her the same way they see it in Cucurucho.

In a way it's a bit like realising years later your parents are complete assholes, but in reverse. She realised the Federation are the reason she is alive, the reason she exists. She might know they are evil, but they raised her.. She HAS to find some good in them, there has to be right ? If she is of them, there has to be some good.

In a similar way the "Cucurucho has never done anything bad to me" is not JUST reassuring herself and blocking out the problems of the others (it's partly that, and I agree it's very unealthy, that's why we are cheering, we want the angst) but it's also "I know they are capable of good, I've seen it, there has to be a way to point it towards that good and fight the Federation's influence". Imagine the "I can fix him" meme but infinitely more fucked up.

I want to be very clear everyone who follows her POV realises everything she is doing is VERY unealthy and unfair to a lot of people (to q!Forever, among others yes, q!Etoiles himself commented on how she acted strange recently), BUT it does make sense from her pov, and because she hides things to the others, I do realise now that YES, from other povs it feels like a shift, and her just not caring, but she does care, she is just REALLY lost, confused and scared at the moment. And that is partly why we are all SO interested and invested in her bonding with Jaiden, because it's terribly unealthy and it offers two amazing possibilities, either they get out of it together, with some help or not and it's beautiful, OR they make each other worse.

I can't wait to see where they go with it.

q!Bad has been trying so hard to burn his bridges so I consider purgatory a win for him! Though will say that I think it's nice that he and Bagi's bridge seem more or less the same? I don't think that his bridge with Bagi burned because she didn't have expectations from him like the others did from not knowing how Bad was before + she's heard him talk about wanting to eat/kill people and him being in the war before and still decided that was the guy she wanted to hang around her - even when they met up and she decided to go into her safe zone, she still gave him a chance to talk with her rather then going 'oh nah actually you're going to kill me so we won't meet at all' or she could have told her teammates on him, gave Bad permission to kill her and has been actively going 'hi Bad!!' when she saw him before the whole transferring team situation, just wanted to ramble that I appreciated the way their friendship works and how I feel like there's not gonna be a difference for them when they go back to the original island

yes! you are so right and i will now ramble!

i see q!bad's friends categorized in two areas: friends who can deal with his demon nature and friends who can't. bagi, despite her strong moral code, has seen bad at his worst, and is able to stomach all of it. she is able to forgive him (even if he may break her trust), understand the way he navigates his relationships, and continue to know that despite his actions, she has his back and he has hers. others who similarly take bad in stride are foolish, tina, aypierre, and etoiles. he may fuck them over, but they all end up shrugging it off and bouncing back. (this, of course, goes especially for foolish).

i would say phil and bad had a good friendship, but purgatory has effectively ruined it. they were just never close enough with each other for phil to understand who bad is at his core. cellbit (from what i observed) seems to hold more immoral actions (i.e cannibalism, murder) with a much heavier weight than bad. yes, he is a dark character, but notice how cellbit needed to be pushed in this direction via external circumstances? meanwhile bad always seemed to be holding off eating people and murder to just "fit in" with society, because these traits are just more innately part of him. and this is why i think bad won't hold a grudge against cellbit for purgatory, but cellbit could.

forever and baghera are a special case in which they became friends with someone who was nice and caring, were able to ignore the dark implications of his moral code, but then couldnt anymore once he began to spiral downwards. theyve both had their purgatory moment with him; they've already seen the lengths he'll go to. its definitely taken a toll on their friendship, but if they were able to move past his torture of ron, they'll be able to move past this too (and they already have: baghera may be opposing him but she's still happy to chat, and forever and bad's relationship has honestly improved in purgatory).

i do think, at the end of the day, bad is the kind of guy that is very easy to hate, but also someone you really want on your side. take tubbo or pac. he was by the far one of the most antagonistic characters to them on the island. but when you're fighting to survive, suddenly that bloodthirsty demon is real nice to have at your back. its why foolish is so careful to prod into bad's plans, to see if their motives line up. i do believe that, even if he burns bridges with majority of characters, he is still someone most characters would want to fight with, rather than against.

GODDDD OKAY Tubbo and Bagi are honestly like, the perfect people for Forever to become closer with BECAUSE they are very blunt and upfront. It's something I appreciate about Phil's friendship with Forever too like they're take no bullshit and will directly talk to him if there's an issue.

It's especially helpful since I feel like Forever struggles a lot when people are sarcastic with him in English or "obviously" not being truthful or not being direct since it isn't HIS language. Bagi speaks Portuguese too, and Tubbo also struggles with sarcasm and is usually quite straight forward which is something I feel like Forever needs since he's quite earnest and open with the people he loves.

He does just deserve so much more, and he DOES have so many good friendships that both him and his fans don't realize where the other person actually cares for HIM and HIS safety and happiness nd not his title as president. (Etoiles, Philza, Cellbit, Pac, Roier, maybe Tina, the other Brazilians, etc)

I knowww his character is just like that, far too forgiving and willing to accept the way others treat him but I need him to be friends with someone who won't take his shit but also won't let certain people walk all over him and call his one sided trust and loyalty "friendship". Just...I want him to be close with people who care for him and for him to realize just how many people he has who trust him and that being ganged up on and accused of horrible things because you dared disagree with ur "close friend" isnt Normal Friend Things

Sorry I think Forever finally realizing it's a duo, NOT a trio made me finally snap after months of watching him fight while feeling completely alone since he thought he only had those two who treated him with mistrust and actively tried to turn everyone against him and richas who was uninterested in having a relationship with him before being literally kidnapped

Ramblings about q!Forever and his friendships.

You made a really good point about Forever needing to have friendships that are more blunt and upfront. BBH likes to lie and gaslight for fun, Baghera does that too sometimes and Forever usually takes it as face value. Which is why he snapped on Bad and started talking Portuguese when he went all mockingly "it's sarcasm" when Forever didn't understand. They also do a lot of mind games that Forever wasn't even aware of.

People got mad that Forever never believes when BBH says something but that's because HE ALWAYS LIES. I think what happened now made sure that Forever will never believe BBH again, even if he tells the truth (that he only tells after telling 10 lies before) because it finally clicked to him that BBH will lie about everything because he can, even if there's absolutely no need to. He actually trusted BBH every time he said he didn't do something that he actually did (like the pranks on his base).

Having him get closer to people who are more earnestly like him, don't do mind games and are clear about what they're feeling is something that he definitely needs. It also explains why he has such a warped sense of what his friendship with Baghera and Bad actually were.

I REALLY wish he learned about what happened with his gun. What would have been just something small before, with the current situation, it would really enlighten him that is something that is always happening. For big, and small things.

I stop deluding myself that he'd cut ties with them for good, I just really need at least that he stops treating them priority and value his friendship with other people more. No matter who it is at this point, as long as it's someone who just earnestly likes and trusts him.

I always had people saying I want Forever to have a "yes-man" because I complained about BBH and Baghera never agreeing with anything that Forever decides to do. But they never supported him in any of his decisions. Like, I think the only thing they didn't complain about was N.I.N.H.O. and hell I think if Forever tried to come up with that idea today they would twist into the worst case scenario. And even then, after he was completing NINHO, I remember Etoiles tried to come up with an idea of having a council with the strongest members on the island so they could mediate between conflicts that could affect everyone like the Regret arc. Forever liked the idea and tried to tell Bad, who immediately twisted into the worst case scenario that they would be bullies that arrest people. So it's something that always happened, you know? Even before the election arc. They never trust him to make big decisions. It's something that made me appreciate insaneduo so much back in the election arc, because it was such a relief to see him speak with someone who valued his ideas, added to it, or just argued normally why it wasn't good.

I think the reason he's so forgiving is that he's trying to be his better self, since he wasn't a good person in the past, so he thinks he should be the bigger person and let people walk over him. I don't think he found a balance of what a good person that helps the people actually is. There's also the fact that at the end of the day, he's at a point where he truly doesn't care about anyone or anything besides Richarlyson and making sure that he leaves the island. That's why he can't even hate Cucurucho (despite obviously not liking him) even with the fact that he pretty much tortured him, because Richarlyson wasn't affected so he thinks it's not important.

I really, really wanted that Forever had someone at his side that didn't make him feel Richarlyson was everything he has. That if, God forbid, Richarlyson died one day he'd at least think he still has someone for him besides just dying together with his son.

Alright I wasn't going to post my thoughts but screw it, election day is here and I want to share my thoughts:

I'm voting for Etoiles.

Ok here we go brain dump time, I'm not rereading this so this is NOT gonna be as coherent as my usual thoughts.

Before I get into the why, I think the biggest thing we need to remember is that we have no idea what the Presidency will actually entail. For all we know, the winner could just get brainwashed and turned into a puppet immediately, but for the sake of argument, let's just say it will be a very isolating position (because no matter what the Presidency winds up being, and no matter power they actually have, I think this is the most likely outcome).

I think Etoiles is the candidate who has consistently proven to be reliable when working alone, and he reacts best to the unknown. We see this a lot in his PVP of course, but even outside of it, he's not easily shaken by conflict (we also saw this during the debates). A lot of the other candidates work well with others (like Forever or Bad) but I'm really thinking this position will require someone who is capable of quick thinking on their own. (That being said, Etoiles works very well with others, and his personality meshes well with every single person on the server).

Yesterday, we saw Bad struggle to come up with a good question to ask Cucurucho. While I 100% agree that it was a very important decision worth investing a lot of time into, ultimately he had to depend on chat, Jaiden, and the Eggs to help him think outloud and reach his final decision. I don't think the President will always be allowed to bounce ideas off other people. I'd rather trust someone who's able to think fast and make quick decisions on their own. While I do think the idea of communication and a council is a good idea in theory (though not necessarily the one Bad proposed), I doubt the Federation will go for that, and I doubt the idea will pan out.

The Federation won't play fair.

As it is right now, both Forever and Bad are capable of doing a lot in their current positions in the Order, and I worry that, as much good as they could potentially do in a position of power, I can see them getting overwhelmed and letting their emotions get the better of them if put under too much stress (as we've already seen happen before). I was really leaning towards Forever, but after watching Etoiles so much and seeing his confidence and calm under pressure over the last few weeks, it solidified my decision.

As for the other candidates, Felps I don't see online ever, so I would be reluctant to vote for him. Mike I think would be an interesting choice, but ultimately I'm not sure what he'd do in a position of power, and I'm not super clear about his goals. I think he and Pac are better working undercover against the Federation as they are now, and I'd hate to see him get separated from his partner.

Anyways this was my ranking system:

Etoiles

Forever (VERY close second)

ElQuackity

I didn't really have a backup after that, none of the other candidates really stood out to me. (I liked Baghera and Cellbit, but they got eliminated before I could make a firm decision about them).

EDIT: Also on a meta level, Etoiles has a really good understanding of the mods and game mechanics. That is all.

playing around with the potential idea of the federation taking phil to 'fix' him but just making shit worse- this would 100% lead to separation anxiety for these little codebreakers, with the idea that even warping away from each other for too long could leave an opening for a federation worker / cucurucho to take phil back for further 'research'

i don't think it'd be a conscious and noticeable thing though, as if his friend got taken etoiles would probably stay as calm as he can and reassure himself that he'll save him soon. similar to everyone panicking about the eggs and him saying 'I don't know why everyone is freaking out, we're just gonna go save them again like we always do it's chill'. but there'd be a minor shift in behavior, such as taking more breaks in his explorations to plop a waystone and check in with phil and show him new shit he's found, or more busy texts just sent to make sure a response is given and nothing bad had happened.

(in qsmp etoiles uses warp scrolls- probably because it's a quick craft and doesn't have the cooldown that warpstones have, but I imagine in this AU the millisecond etoiles gets phil back he just dumps a stack of scrolls on him like "take it !! do you want to travel and have to wait three to five business days just to grab a single stack of blocks at home ?? i didn't think so-" and acting as if this gift is one of convince and because he 'has too many in his backpack' and not one out of genuine fear for his friend potentially not having the ability to escape a location fast enough because of a dumb avoidable cooldown) - 💿

Oh my god I LOVE THIS AAA

Staying closer around Phil during bigger events ( that are already just chaos pure with the amount of people there ) a little longer than needed is brushed off as there just not being enough space because it‘s logical, before he rushes off to get rid of any enemies around or join in on some silly bantering when there‘s nothing to fight.

More breaks in his travels to check up on others, especially with Phil, are brushed off as simply having forgotten to grab something or similar. It happens sometimes, y’know? If he ends up getting distracted by bantering around with Phil and showing off his new things a little more again, then neither of them mention it.

Every time Etoiles doesn‘t understand why everyone is freaking out over the disappearance of the Eggs or People - when it hasn‘t been the first time it happened now, getting them back just the same was reason enough to show that they were all capable of saving them - he doesn’t notice when his own thoughts start occasionally drifting off to what else the Federation could do to Phil if they got their hands on him again.

And then we have Phil, who does his best to not let anything get to him after the first time.

He can’t help the instinct of always needing to be up high and perched, finding himself on constant alarm almost. He starts maybe building places higher up in an subconscious attempt to find this soothing, safe feeling, while he also battles the urge of wanting to stay inside the wall, in the bunker, all day and isolate again but that is too cramped, too full. And he has things to do, after all!

Phil finds himself subconsciously grabbing at and fidgeting with the warp scrolls Etoiles gave him more often when he’s out and alone & his warpstone is on cooldown, ready to dip at any given moment if need to be.

He finds himself looking for company of other People more often because surely being around others means less of a chance for the Federation to try and take him back again. If he just so happens to stick around Etoiles more than usual too, then nobody else mentions it.

Wanted to talk about q!Forever and his presidency seen from the pov of someone who mostly experience it from outside percepctive as I'm incapable of understanding Brazilian. SAYING IT RIGHT NOW I'm not here to say q!Forever is wrong or evil (as I'm convinced he is not, no need to come and tell me), this is not what's it's about, this is about how lost he seems when you are looking from the exterior.

So I know drama is brewing because people are fighting over who's right and who's an evil virus of satan, and I don't care, I'm not interested in this. I want to talk about the characters I love, because I love q!Forever, and his story makes me so sad.

I want to explain to those who wouldn't know, I'm a mostly french viewers, I follow Etoiles, Baghz, Antoine, Aypierre and Phil (mostly, I try to follow everyone's storyline and povs), the last two are not important here as Philza doesn't interact with the president storyline at all and Aypierre's involvement can be resumed to "I don't care who's in power and what they do, I'll be nice to them because I want power". But basically what the Forever Presidency feels like is not evil, or corrupted, it feels WEIRD :

Because obviously he is kindhearted, he has saved the eggs multiple times, he has done a lot for the island, and has said multiple times he wants to help everyone, and I believe that. But then in some of his actions and speeches, there is so much stuff that we are weirded out about. First how he told Baghera how he wanted to make everyone vote etc. That's okay, but like she said herself "Well that was my campaign idea..." And that's true, and that was also a thing Him and Cellbit used as way to descend her campaign, so that felt like a light knife in the back. But that's the least worrying thing.

There was then the whole deal where from what I understood he felt betrayed by Baghera and Bad as they didn't share everything and witheld information. And from Baghz pov that felt like it came out of nowhere because... Well she didn't ! That was simply miscommunication. And ensued the whole deal where he talked about how he felt about the arrival of the new people, and how he didn't trust them and didn't want to help them unless they had an egg. That was a weird thing in itself, he is supposed to be the president of the island and he is the one least willing to welcome new people.

There was also the nerfing armor stuff. At first we thought he said that as a joke you know, he is just not saying no to Quackity because that'd be rude. But who in their right mind would do that right ? Right... ? And then yestedray he asks Etoiles to do a debate with Quackity to discuss it and everyone went "Wait, he's actually considering it ?" And that was weird because... Well Forever spends most of his time in his base. Isolated. And when you watch Etoiles you know that even with the strongest suit of armor in the game you CAN die everyday. Is... Is Forever asking for a death sentence ? Has he been living under a rock ?

The last thing was yesterday, when Etoiles wanted to ask him a few things, he arrived when Forever was having a secret discussion with Cucurucho, and he ordered the construction of a prison he would have access to. And THAT was so WEIRD, everyone in chat and in reaction were like "WHAT !!??? WH... WHY ??", and then followed by "could I have a gun to defend myself ?" and everyone went "Oh. He... He doesn't trust us !!!", Etoiles himself went *raises eyebrow*. There is something REALLY going bad with q!Forever. And then he immediatly follows by taking in consideration Etoiles' request to allow Dark Metal for his fight against the code, so he's not evil, he's not corrupted... And that's where I realised what it felt like, it feels like he is lost.

It seems he want to do good, but takes weird unnecessary decisions after weird unnecessary decisions that in most cases fucks over other islanders more than it helps, and the important thing to remember is that he is not doing that purposefully, again it seems he is lost, it feels like he doesn't know what he is doing, because of that people are more wary of him, and it leads him to become more paranoïd and he makes even more bad decisions, wich leads to more people being wary of him and it creates a vicious feedback loop that constantly raises the tension. (also having the big PRESIDENT sign next to his name creates an epidermic reaction in every french that makes us want a revolution /j) And it's so sad because the only exit I can see is for the tension to be released in an explosion, a revolution, and THAT could be interesting because for once neither side is truly evil per say. They can be misguided, but not outright evil. Like Baghera said herself "I... I don't understand where he is going."

What's terrifying is what we foresaw with the election is happening, the islanders are driving themselves apart and turning against each other. I don't think the Federation wants to avoid a revolution, I'm pretty sure they would be rooting for it.

(HOWEVER next time I see someone saying q!Forever is this perfect little guy that did nothing wrong... PLEASE. The guy was vicious during the election arc. With how much misinformation he spread on Etoiles most notably.)
