You know, that Mythbusters post legitimately changed my life. Before seeing it, I had exponentially more guilt and stress about not being able to sleep, which of course, further exacerbated my inability to sleep.

Now, every time I wake up about three am, knowing I have to get up at 6.45, instead of stressing and panicking about how my day is going to be sleep deprived and miserable, I just tell myself 'Time to activate Mythbusters Protocol' and lie there with my eyes closed safe in the knowledge that I am measurably reducing later feelings of exhaustion.

And when this happens, about 70% of the time the reduction of guilt and stress means I actually do fall back asleep, so all in all instead of getting only three or four hours sleep, I get five to six and a half.

Which y'know, major improvement in health and energy.

I think I made a post about this way early on but I fucking love how Chet handles people that the party disagrees with. He always pulls off the little "now, i completely understand where you're coming from, i get what you're saying, even if these guys dont, haha, but, for clarity-" followed by an incisive, clever, pointed question. And it works, so fucking often, and its just.👌so satisfying to watch.

Just wanted to say I totally agree with what you said about how people are treating the gods this campaign.

So many of the issues with the gods come from their followers doing fucked up things but it’s like people don’t want to acknowledge the fact that we have most definitely seen the other side of things. Like have people forgotten Pike’s relationship to the Everlight and how hopeful and fulfilling it was, how kind and grateful the Everlight was to her. Or the Wildmother in C2 and how she guided Caduceus and cared to reach out and protect Fjord. Even the Dawnfather, who I genuinely think is much more in a sort of General/Leader mode right now, was fair and not callous when Vex pledged herself to him.

They’re essentially at war. They’re flawed and scared and desperate. And them being more selfish and frustrated this campaign makes total sense when their literal existence is being threatened by the whims of some Exandrians while they’re still in their self-imposed exile.

(Don't have much to add to this, I'm not smart enough, but thank you ! Yeah I think people are easy to forget that the divine gate was made by the gods temselves because they realized "ah shit some people don't want us there and we tend to cause problems by just existing... Let's get away a bit.") (Like there *are* bad sides to the Prime Deities but ignoring the good ones or saying that they don't matter in front of the bad ones is a tad weird.)

I have to admit I am a bit confused by some posts that goes "Why are you acting surprised or disappointed ? Have you watched C1 and C2 ? The Gods have always been portrayed as awful. Do yall have any critical thinking ?" And like ??? Maybe I missed some things, I admit, but from what I remember the gods have always been portrayed as NUANCED (Prime Deities we talk about here, the Betrayers are obviously just, evil)

And C3 just furthers that, they are not even being portrayed as awful in this campaign. They are just being portrayed as beings of incredible power who have convictions, wishes, moral rules, that all can be different from each other's or ours. And who now are fearing for their lives and scrambling to find any seems of support from mortals as they *canno't* act themsevles, they are locked behind a gate and forced to just watch all of that unfold.

Like don't get me wrong, some of them did bad things, or took bad decisions, but some of them ARE willing to help, some of them DO want good for the mortals. Like they locked themselves away because they realized if they intervene too much bad things tends to happen to their creations.

I'm sure they could be antagonistic in some aspects but going as far as saying that they've been awful from the beginning is a bit strange.

One thing that drives me a little crazy for the EXU half while also being completely understandable:

Why does the Spider Queen need Opal to ditch her friends to go fight Predathos? Like ma'am, why aren't you taking advantage of "we'll follow you" to get a whole hit squad instead of just a lonely champion?

And yes, this is probably more about the Spider Queen's own trust issues and visions/understanding of power and a belief compassion (for allies/friends) will hold her champion back. But c'mon. Look at the goddamn logistics of five (six with Cyrus) people fighting for you versus one. In what way is having support that can heal and boost and assist your champion bad? Don't you want a champion that has better odds of finishing the mission and living to serve another day? (probably cares less about champion survivability, being a Betrayer who doesn't care about mortals. But good help is hard to find, especially during a crunch)

I'm just sitting here shaking my head at a goddess desperate to get her pawn in on the fight and going about it the completely wrong way.
