For an english class in high school, one of the assignments was to choose a short story that we liked and create a small test (5-10 questions or so) based on it, and some of them would be used as assignments for future classes. I chose The Hands and The Mouth, because that story, even now when I think about it, makes me feel So Much. The teacher also loved The Hands and The Mouth, and I've heard that she does use the test on it! so a story from Something's Not Right is being used in an english class! (For a very small school, but I thought it was cool anyways. and it feels appropriate to share that with you on SNR's 5th birthday!)
HELLO?
My anonymous friend, your task is simple. Send all classroom materials for the text to my email (allhallowsyves🌿gmail) so I may weep over them. Alternatively, DM them to my beloved friend @goose-books , and I shall never know your name (should you like to maintain all anonymity). Alternatively alternatively, I will pay you human money to show me your/the teacher’s test because there is nothing more beautiful and meaningful in the world to me than this kind of academically tinged fanwork. I promise I will be so kind and gentle to you and your ‘nonymous identity.
Thank you very much also for sharing the love, especially as I am looking at SNR with a much more critical eye for edits—it’s good to remember that people like it and have liked it, and it is not all full up with typos and headhopping. That story in particular is one of my personal standouts—much fascinating backstory I’m not certain I can discuss in public—so I’m always happy to hear that it’s someone’s favorite. I do understand why.
Put another way: Holy Balls!
And thank you!

Reader’s Corner: Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible (Vol. 3), Assassin’s Creed Dynasty (Vol. 3), and The Elusive Samurai (Vol. 2)
We’ve got a lot of romance to share with you this week, from simple and sweet to more complex tales involving bullying and arranged marriage. But lest you think we’ve gone soft, there are some violent, pseud-historic manga in the mix, too, along with sci-fi and isekai. Check out our thoughts on the new, recent, and classic releases below!
-----
Rebuild World, Light Novel Vol. 1
Akira lives in a world littered with ruins of an advanced civilization, full of high-tech relics and guarded by deadly contraptions and beasts. As a boy from the slums, he tries to become a Hunter, going into these ruins to unearth those relics and sell them to escape poverty; however, his lack of skills leads to a close brush with death. One day, he stumbles upon Alpha, a holographic woman who offers to help him become a successful Hunter, as long as he helps her with her own goals. This is an action-packed novel about exploring ruins, while dealing with other humans in this world—some friendly, others malicious. One thing I like is how, as much as this story is about surviving against the odds, it’s equally about helping other people out, even when it doesn’t seem optimal to do so. There’s also definitely a sense that there’s more to Alpha than what we or Akira know, and the intrigue over who she actually is and what she really wants adds to my interest in this story. Overall, the world-building and story have caught my attention, and I will definitely be reading more volumes of this series. ~ stardf29
Rebuild World is published by J-Novel Club (and is edited by our very own NegativePrimes!).
The Princess’ Smile: The Body-Double Bride Searches for Happiness with the Reclusive Prince, One-shot Light Novel
In a fantasy world, one country starts (and then loses!) a war with a smaller neighbor. The peace terms stipulate that the losing kingdom’s princess must marry a prince from the winning side. Princess Hermine has zero interest in this arranged marriage, but her orphaned cousin Sara looks quite similar… How very convenient. Soon Sara (pretending to be Princess Hermine) finds herself wedded to the mysterious and unsociable Prince Richard. Now she must make this unexpected relationship work, and this amid the repercussions from the complicated situation she finds herself in. To me, the key point that distinguishes this light novel is that the leads are married from the outset. The marriage is an established fact the characters must deal with, giving the entire story a different dynamic from the more common tales about people building a romantic relationship from nothing. Yeah, I know it’s hardly the first light novel to do this, but the premise is still uncommon enough that it feels like fresh and interesting. I really enjoyed this volume. ~ Jeskai
The Princess’ Smile: The Body-Double Bride Searches for Happiness with the Reclusive Prince is published by Cross Infinite World.
Shortcake Cake, Manga Vol. 5
The emotional roller coaster continues! I feel I want to say this volume is more emotional than the last one, but I have a feeling that this is going to be a reoccurring theme with this manga! Thankfully these volumes pick right back up where the previous volume ended because Ten has admitted/realized she has feelings for Riku and I honestly couldn’t be happier! Well except, Chiaki is no longer hiding his feelings from Ten and it’s made for some interesting developments, even though Ten has nicely rebuffed all of his “advances” (such as him saying he is jealous or that he doesn’t want her to leave his company yet). I definitely was not happy with those moments, especially with his actions at the end of this volume. Thankfully Chiaki isn’t deterring Ten since I really like Riku a lot, but even with that said, I really enjoyed the outing Chiaki and Riku had together. I didn’t expect that due to Chiaki being more vocal to Ten personally about his feelings, but there are always fun shenanigans on page when its just the two of them! I deeply enjoyed seeing the progression of Ten’s feelings for Riku throughout this volume and think she is so adorable in not knowing what to do/how to act around him. I’m absolutely here for this blooming romance and desperately needing to see what happens next (and if Chiaki will apologize for his actions)! ~ Laura A. Grace
Shortcake Cake is published by VIZ Media.

Now I’m a Demon Lord! Happily Ever After with Monster Girls in My Dungeon, Light Novel Vol. 1
Yuki finds himself reincarnated in a dungeon in another world, and in the body of a “Demon Lord” at that. After figuring out the system that lets him customize the dungeon and generate items for his use, he befriends the ancient dragon Lefisios, rescues the vampire girl Iluna and some other beastgirls, and acquires a pet slime and a Fenrir wolf familiar. This novel mainly shows all these characters goofing off and enjoying life with each other, while occasionally dealing with humans in the surrounding area who try to intrude on their peace. The highlight of this novel is Yuki’s first-person narration, which (unlike most such narration in isekai light novels) is very casual and personal. It includes many “stream of consciousness” thoughts without getting too long-winded (though be warned that there is a fair amount of profanity throughout). This makes it easy to feel how much fun he is having in the more peaceful moments, but it also highlights his unpleasant emotions when humans try to cause problems for him. The relationship between him and Lefi (who of course has a pretty girl form) is also a highlight, especially in one moment when she helps keep him from going out of control. This was a really fun read and has the potential to become one of my new favorite light novels. ~ stardf29
Now I’m a Demon Lord! Happily Ever After with Monster Girls in My Dungeon is published by J-Novel Club.
Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible, Manga Vol. 3
“I kind of feel like a protagonist.” Well, that’s because you are, Shiraishi, and of a funny and pleasant series to boot. Volume three of Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible continues the upward trajectory of the previous volumes, from the uneven and slightly ecchi tone in volume one toward the romantic and sentimental mood at the end of volume two. Whether walking home together in the rain under a single umbrella, or picnicking under the falling cherry blossoms, these chapters hit a myriad of sweet spots of romance manga in cute, humorous, and wistful ways. Kubo and Shiraishi no longer have a relationship that would fit better in the harsher genre of teasing romcom manga; theirs is growing more actively and realistically, and each seemingly accepts the feelings they have for one another (at least in their own thoughts, if not in front of friends or each other). Volume three also addresses a serious weakness of the series, namely undeveloped side characters. Kubo’s cousin and elder sister interact frequently with Kubo in this volume, and in significant ways with Shiraishi, too. The series is becoming fuller, sweeter, and better with every single release. If you’ve been avoiding it, maybe it shouldn’t be invisible to you anymore. ~ Twwk
Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible is published by Viz Media. Volume three releases on September 6th.

Assassin’s Creed Dynasty, Manga Vol. 3
I haven’t picked up the newest volume of this series in a while, so I had to take a moment and remember where I left off. The story follows an assassin named Li E who bears a long scar along his face, as he takes part in a war between two armies in China. One army wants to assassinate several generals of the opposing army (which Li E is part of), and the battles get very intense and graphic. This volume had some slow parts where it just went over battle strategies and naming places in China I was not familiar with, so I was a little lost in those details. But it was nice to get to know Li E more by the end, as he was pretty quiet in volume 1 from what I remember. Volume three doesn’t go into the lore of the creed or the main plot points of the franchise, so I’m waiting to see if later installments dive into that or if Li E is just an assassin in China and there is no backstory to the creed. Hopefully, volume four has some answers. ~ Samuru
Assassin’s Creed Dynasty is published by Tokyopop.
The Elusive Samurai, Manga Vol. 2
After a clunky and lengthy first volume that left me bored—and wondering, “so what?”—volume two of The Elusive Samurai is a smoother and more engaging work. Part of the problem with volume one—and I admit I’m speculating here—was that despite the mangaka’s renown, Yusei Matsui seemed to move away from his style and to emulate Golden Kamuy, both in that manga’s weird humor and extreme violence. And while volume two remains violent, it’s not the type that makes you fear turning each page lest your favorite character die on the next one; and while funny, it isn’t the jarring kind of humor either. No, The Elusive Samurai fits squarely into typical shonen territory—focusing on excellent action (particularly when Tokiyuki faces off with the Sadamune in an archery competition where more than honor is at stake), and team building (when Tokiyuki attempts to add a thief to his party as they pair up on a dangerous mission). Meanwhile, the specter of Takauji and his apparent invincibility hangs over the entire story, making him all the formidable in Tokiyuki’s mind (and in the reader’s as well). Volume two is a fun and brisk read, slowing down only with interesting historical and “game card” asides; this series seems to have hit its sweet spot, a balance of semi-serious historical epic and good old shonen adventure. ~ Twwk
The Elusive Samurai is published by Viz Media. Volume two releases on September 6th.

A Silent Voice, Manga Vol. 4
In volume four, I love how the mangaka helps us feel some fun and excitement with and for Shoya—only to turn and absolutely rip your heart out by the end! We see Shoya really experience the beauty of friendship (even if briefly). However, what was supposed to be a fun day at the amusement park for Shoya and his friends does not end as grandly as it began. Not only is there a tragic scene that unfolds later on, but even before this we learn a heartbreaking “secret” about how Shoko views herself. I thought this volume did an amazing job showing that people change—and yet some people don’t change. And if those people change, sometimes it is not for the better, hurting or harming others instead. I also feel this series is at the point where our main characters have developed, and they have to decide how they will move forward. However, the ending of this volume was really sad. Well, maybe more of bittersweet, because this volume shows that Shoya knows and understands what friendship is. He realizes what Tomohiro meant a volume or two ago, that understanding friendship doesn’t necessarily require “logic.” While I definitely didn’t like the actions of a few side characters (specifically Naoko, who I cannot stand at this point) and that my heart broke with certain events and conversations, I really enjoyed this volume a lot more than the previous one! ~ Laura A. Grace
A Silent Voice is published by Kodansha.

last night I was playing Stardew valley and I didn't realize you had to be at 8 hearts to date, I thought it was 6-8, so at 7 hearts I gave Alex a bouquet and got rejected.
I was devastated. but thought hey, it's raining in-game, I'm gonna write a fic about this, SO to make it even more dramatic I had my character run all the way to the beach to sulk.
Sebastian shows up. I was doing smth irl and didn't realize my character was standing in the way, so I get the little ? above seb's head. I move, then talk to him bc why not and he says some RUDE ASS SHIT.
I am at 8 hearts with Sebastian and this man says something like, "what do you want? I dont want to talk to you right now" and I'm like ok I'm DEFINITELY writing something for this now what the fuck?
today, I spent like 2 hours trying to find the dialogue that Sebastian said. I didn't screenshot it, so I wanted to find the exact dialogue, and it's NOWHERE. Not on the wiki, not on ancient reddit threads. My last resort was opening the game data but I'd have to convert .xnb files and don't want to spend another three hours figuring it out without fucking up my game so now I'm >:[ AND I don't know exactly what that bitch said. but I do have 2k written

I know unicorns in modern media are kind of relegated to cutsie, MLP, rainbow plastic toys, or shitting rainbows, 'lets go to candy mountain' but man. I WISH more fantasy media would put them in unironically. There is so much symbolic and narrative potential in a creature that is, depending on your mythology:
A guardian of wild spaces, the embodiment of nature untouched by mankind's industry and greed. Fewer and farther between.
The ideal of "Purity" made manifest, elusive and powerful and hunted for fruitlessly by many a person. To kill. To actually kill. Living symbol of the oh-so-coveted Purity, not treated as a sacred thing to protect, or even predated for food to survive off, but a trophy for knights and lords to boast about.
So absolutely fierce and deadly that no one smart dared to fight it fairly. A gentle maiden had to betray it into resting in her lap so that a man could spear it while its guard was down.
Able to heal any wound no matter how severe - it promised miracles, if you could find one.
A creature who's magic vanished if it was captured or killed. In trying to take control of it, you destroyed it. Some things can only be given by free will, and no amount of personal desire or brute force can change that.

Just wanted to say I have been internet-less for a while now, due to damage from a thunderstorm, and it's not clear when the problem will be fixed! Hopefully by Monday but that's also what they said last week. At first I was able to find some 3G here by sitting perilously on the very edge of that one specific window on the 1st floor of the barn >
Tumblr media
—but this no longer works for some reason. That's too bad because while I waited 5min for websites to load like it's 2001 I could watch the llamas bounce about and the chickens scour the pasture for insects, it was like having a real life Windows screensaver. But this week was very windy so I assume the elusive airborne internet in this corner of my barn has floated away elsewhere.
My next solution was climbing up to the plateau through the woods with my laptop under my arm to go sit in a pasture that's famous (to me and 1 neighbour) for having inexplicably good cell reception. It's funny because I sat nowhere near the road but Pandolf kept patrolling all over to check for enemies while I checked for emails so people driving by kept stopping their car and crossing the pasture to come say hi like, "I recognised your dog from afar!" I've had better luck keeping in touch with people I know via this great new social network called DogRun than via modern means of communication.
Tumblr media
The guy who owns the pasture also came to say hi and when I told him what I was doing here, he looked at his phone and went like, wow, there /is/ great reception here, better than at my farm, I could come check my email here too. So this cow pasture is poised to become a trendy new coworking space.
But then I had to make a video call and that exceeded the capacities of even the great 3G Pasture, so I had to drive several km to sit under a tree a few hundred metres away from a village so I can leech their amazing urban 4G.
Tumblr media
This is probably how a mediaeval peasant would make a Zoom call, once a week riding their donkey across the countryside to go sit in a field near the ramparts of the nearest fortified village and enjoy their feudal lord-sponsored high-speed connection.

fem!reader studies Neuviotter! | Fluff 🧸 with Otter Neuvillette… 🔞with Human Neuvillette.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: You're a Sumeru's researcher obsessed with Fontaine otters. So you basically adopt one... unfortunately it looks like that isn't an otter at all...
Warning: 🔞 MDNI. ALL SMUT IS WITH HUMAN NEUVILLETTE! Somnophilia, oral (fem! Receiving), p i v. Unprotected sex.
1.8k words.
Not edited.
⏜︵⊹︵⊹︵⏜︵୨୧︵⏜⊹︵⏜︵⊹︵⏜
The prestige of your research precedes you. A diligent student with a flamboyant gait, brilliant ideals and precise knowledge. You arrive at Fontaine from the Sumeru Academy with a precedent never seen before, with your lively, attentive eyes and your notebooks covered in leather the same color as your eyes.
Word spreads immediately that the wise y/n, scholar of the Academia, has come to Fontaine to study a creature that has captured your attention to leave the green land for that of the primordial sea. Could it be that you want to study a mythical creature that lives in underwater caves? Or perhaps a glorious bird has captured your thirst for knowledge?
How surprised your guides were when you shouted with excitement, unable to contain your joy like a little girl, when you spotted a little otter poking its head out of the crystal clear water. You jumped up and down, unable to contain your happiness, exclaiming how amazed you were to see one so close.
Alone, you photograph the otter and go so far as to dive underwater with it, surprised more by how clever it is than by your new curious ability to breathe underwater. What a joy it is to find a group of creatures frolicking with a clam in their midst, spinning in the water and turning to look at you. You may have been down there for an hour.
Back on the surface, sitting on a rock with your feet in the water, you jot down the details in your notebook, tracing with the vague lines of a sketch the elusive shape of the little animals. Concentrating on your task, on defining the details of its snout, you notice on the other bank an otter, different from the others, grooming its head with its small hands.
You watch it carefully, the creature seems a little larger than the others, slender and almost like a gentleman...
"A gentleman otter," you whisper, enraptured by the delicate and magnificent figure grooming itself in front of you.
The otter makes sounds as he wipes his own face, lying on the surface of the water, carving his features and nose, while his two gnawing teeth peek through his pearly fur. Its small hands wash its own belly, almost ironing its fur as if it were the robe of a great lord. Deeply adorable. You hastily sketch the picture in front of you, not missing a tender detail of the cuddly toy floating carefree on the calm current.
The otter watches you with a lost look, black eyes that seem not to contain a single thought. The bliss of the ignorant. And you wave at him from your rock with a smile.
The otter swims toward you, and when he's within striking distance, he watches you, as if studying you.
"How smart you look," you say, clutching your notebook to your chest, "and very adorable. Look at you," you show him the drawing.
The otter stares at the paper with a certain analysis, but his unmistakable expression doesn't change. Then he seems to comb an invisible curl out of his furry head and approves your sketch with a formal nod.
"What a gentleman," you squeal, climbing down from your rock and returning to get your things. The otter emerges from the water, shaking his body to dry himself from the water, though he remains fluffy.
"I thought you were waterproof," you laugh at the sight of the expressionless furball, seemingly oblivious to his adorable embarrassment, "you're different, aren't you?" you approach him with a rag, trying to dry him.
You pull him onto your lap, paws up and his belly exposed as you dry his chest with your cloth, as if he were a baby. Then you wipe his little hands and then his paws. His face is now dry. The otter played with your bracelets, making funny noises and showing his little pearly teeth.
"Do you like it?" you ask, putting it down. The Otter nods enthusiastically. "It would look very cute on you," you add, taking off one of your bracelets and placing it around his neck.
The elastic of the bracelet is lost in his white fur, and the pendant stands out as if it were the clasp of a breastplate.
"You're missing a hat, and you could pass for another Fontaine gentleman," you exclaim, pleased with the result, as the otter poses like an elegant gentleman, his small chest puffed out, almost proud of how adorable he looks.
"It's getting dark, I should get back now. See you another day, Mr. Otter," you say, slinging your bag over your shoulder and waving your hand.
The otter hurries to follow in your footsteps, prancing subtly near you, his wet nose brushing against your ankle.
"You want to come with me, huh?" you kneel before him, and he touches your nose with his paw. "Fine, fine. We'll have a sleepover."
The place you're staying in is small but cozy, and it gets even cozier when you turn on the heat and put food on the table. The otter sits in a chair across from you, on a mountain of books, and tastes several of the snacks you've served him, though you see him going crazy over some consomme purete and the big glass of pure spring water you've served him.
"You like that, I noticed," you say.
"Burp," the otter replies with a burp that he seems to regret immediately.
"You have more manners than many people," you tell him, wiping his whiskers with a napkin.
"Okay, I'll brush your teeth and then off to bed," you say happily, with the idea of reading to the little animal before bedtime.
You sit him on your sink in front of the mirror, lift his jaw and brush his teeth with your toothbrush and toothpaste, first one side and then the other, make him drink some water and then spit it out, although he swallows it.
"Not your thing to waste water, apparently."
The otter nods.
Then you brush his head, chest, back, and tail, letting him groom himself, and when you try to remove the pin, he hides it in his small hands.
"Okay, okay... I'll leave it to you," you smile.
And then you lie in bed with him in your arms, illuminated by the dim light of your lamp, holding a book with an adventure story in it. You read aloud to him, stopping when you hear him whistling and snoring.
"Good night, Gentleman Otter," you kiss him on the forehead before turning off the light and going to sleep. ....
You're not one to dream, not at all, but ever since you came to Fontaine, you couldn't help but have these nightly fantasies about Iudex Neuvillette. That stoic and serious man, how good his face would look contorted with pleasure as you sucked his cock.
You had dreamed of a similar situation many times, you had dreamed of him against you as he pinned your frail figure against his desk and thrust into you, biting your lower lip. You had had your first fantasy after a trial, thinking how manly he would look behind you, his cock buried in your ass....
All those dreams had been vivid fantasies, and tonight's took the prize.
You lay on your bed, him biting your neck as he rests behind you, his hands playing with your breasts at his whim, his tongue sliding over your skin, enjoying the nectar of your pure complexion, his cock swollen against your clothed ass.
"Mmmmhhhh, Monsieur~" you moan, writhing in his grip.
The wonderful thing about these dreams is that you don't know how you get into these situations, but you know how to enjoy them. Because from one moment to the next, the oh so taciturn Iudex Neuvillette has his face buried between your legs, tasting your folds and your clit with his trained tongue.
"Right there~" you moan, arching your back as you feel the desire well up from his mouth, his tongue drawing lustful strokes across your sex, his deep sighs stoking the fires of your passion.
His hands wrap around your legs, and for a moment you swear it's real, the way his nails dig into your skin, leaving reddened marks in their wake, and his thumbs sink into your thighs, anchored to you with no intention of letting go.
Then you feel him thrust into you, opening your silken walls in his wake, his thick cock making its way to your center, molding your walls to his erect, large form. You feel him rub against you as your insides embrace him with little restraint.
You hear him moan and feel your legs rise up over his shoulders, his cool hands at your ankles pressing down on you, thrusting slowly but deliciously, almost as if you were made for him.
"Monsieur Neuvillette~" you moan, clutching the pillows, your hips bucking at the growing warmth in your belly, your hands seeking your own pleasure.
"Warmer than I thought," he whispers, "
it is almost like n your dreams... though this time it feels so real...
You look at him for the first time, his face sweaty, his cheeks flushed as his locks of white hair fall down your legs. His strong arms hugging you, his pecs rising and falling, holding breath... lower down, his chiseled abdomen twitching as his cock buries itself relentlessly inside you.
The sound of his balls against your skin blows your mind and makes you realize that it's not a dream, that Iudex Neuvillette is really fucking you (and very well, much better than you expected).
"Monsieur..." you try to sit up, but he has touched your cervix with his cock, and you do nothing but collapse under him, filled with the pleasure of his gentle thrusts.
"Do you want me to stop?" he asks you reverently, in a tone of sublime courtesy and lofty superiority, as if he were not mercilessly fucking you at his whim while you sleep.
"Don't stop," you whimper between words, not wanting to waste the opportunity you've been dreaming of since the first time you saw him, "damn it," you exclaim at the wave of heat surging through your chest and legs as you hear him chuckle under his breath, quite pleased with what he's managing to make of your body.
The orgasm hits you warm and rough, just as Neuvillette did with his cock, careful not to leave his seed inside of you. And your breath comes back as you feel him caress your back as if to reward you.
You feel his lips on your forehead, and the way his arms hold you beside him as your eyelids droop at the inevitable.
"How did you get here?" you babble, half asleep, caressing his chest as he draws soft circles on your arm.
"You invited me," he whispers as he brings your hand to his neck where your bracelet encircles his skin and the charm falls to his chest.
"You'll explain it properly tomorrow," you murmur between confused shuffles...

My Love Will Never Die...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing: vampire! geto suguru x fem! reader
Summary: your father was a good man, gullible yes, but still good, so when you receive a letter telling you of his imprisonment, you're left with no choice but to make your way to the Lord's castle, hoping you'd convince him to release your father in exchange for the little gold you have to offer. Pity that's not enough for him...
Warnings: 18+, dubconish, smuttt, breeding, blood drinking...
Tumblr media
Sharp wind bites at your skin, carrying with it the promise of frost and cold. Your thin cloak barely shields you against the chill, leaving you shuddering. You had nothing in your heart but hope, hope that your father was alive, hope that his captor would show a shred of mercy and agree to set him free in exchange for what little gold you had to offer.
The woods appeared to have a life of their own, some trees reaching tall while others thick and tangled down below, mist growing thicker as you rode deeper and deeper into the forest, causing your sight to fluctuate between clear and blurry. An eternity seemed to pass before the dense trees gave way, fog lessening to reveal a clearing, and there it was at the center.
The castle stood tall, an ominous, imposing presence. Its twisted spires and sharp black points against the sky as if to pierce the heavens themselves. People in your villagers had long whispered tales of the horrors that lurked within the castle's walls, of the elusive Lords and Ladies that called its dark halls their home.
“...eight, nine, ten…”
Step by step, you counted, trying to push away the fear that threatened to consume you. Dismounting from your trusty steed, pulling its lead rope you slowly nearing the castle gates, the sound of dry leaves crunching underfoot, doing little to ease your already tense nerves.
“Welcome Madam, Master Geto has been expecting you.”
One of the guards standing by the gates greeted, seeing your approaching figure, tone calm and respectful as he opened the large gates, and taking the reins of your horse, gesturing to his companion to take you inside the castle grounds.
Following behind the guard, you couldn't shake off the dread creeping into your bones. He was expecting you? Why? How could this Master Geto have been so certain you would come for your father's aid? And the way that guard spoke as though you were a person of great importance, when you were merely the daughter of a poor village healer…
It was usually dark inside, with only a handful of burning torches lighting your way, the sound of your shoes clanking against the dark marble floor echoed through the stately halls. The elegant surroundings only added to your unease, ornate tapestries and massive statues decorating the area, one sculpture in particular standing out amongst the rest, a black dragon with haunting purple eyes, fangs bared, wings spread wide, as though ready to leap from its pedestal and tear you apart. Subconsciously, you draw your cloak closer, wishing to make yourself invisible.
Reaching a set of grand double doors, the guard in front of you halted. He was nervous. You noticed a slight shift in the burly man's demeanour as he knocked on the door once, twice, and no more. Moments of silence followed before a response finally came from the other side.
“Send her in, Makoto”
The voice was deep and commanding, making you feel small despite not having yet seemed the person it belonged to. The guard, Makoto, instantly opened the doors, ushering you inside, before closing the doors behind you with a deafening thud, causing you to flinch, the reaction earning a chuckle from the man sitting in the room.
“Timid little thing, aren't you?”
“I...I…”
You stood for a moment, unsure of how to respond, taking in your surroundings: shelves lined with more books, tomes and scrolls than you could imagine, and him seated beside the fireplace in a leather armchair clad in the finest black robes, the man you could only assume was the Master of the castle, Lord Geto.
He was not what you imagined, not that there was much to imagine with how little anyone knew of him, but you definitely did not anticipate him possessing a face so handsome even the finest craftsmen couldn't sculpt, raven locks loose and inviting as if waiting for someone to run their hands through it.
But it was his eyes, unlike any you'd ever gazed upon in your life, a deep, haunting violet much like the dragon state; they pierced straight into your soul, making your breath hitch.
“Sit.” He gestures to the chair beside him, a soft smile tugging on his lips watching you do as he says.
“L...Lord Geto…” You begin feeling your heartbeat pick up he made you so nervous... How could someone look so perfect and his voice...it was so smooth and soothing like a sirens song...
“Suguru” he looks at you frowning, the smile now gone, as though you gravely offended him. “You just call me Suguru.”
You froze for a second. He wanted you to call him Suguru. Was that his name? Why? Why? So many questions ran through your mind, but you knew now wasn't the time. “As you wish...Suguru.” It sounded so strange his name on your tongue, but seeing his smile return, you continued, “I received your letter. My father... he's old and sick...I'm sorry, I will pay for his wrongdoings...” Taking out the worn-out bag, you show him the few gold coins inside. This was meant to be your dowry, but now the dreams of ever finding a husband, having children, or a home of your own seemed so far …
“Hmm…” he hums as if sympathetic to your case, but his next words crushed any previous hopes you had. “I'm afraid gold won't make up for the damages your father caused.”
“Then...then what must I do?”
“Perhaps…” There's a glimmer of wickedness in his eyes now as he looks at you. “You could take his place?”
“M...me?” You gasp at his sudden offer “B...but what use could I possibly have...can't you just accept the gold..please…” you pleaded but that only seemed to fuel whatever desire he had of keeping you in place of your father.
“I'm sure we can find something for you to do…” he muses, violet eyes hungrily roaming your body freely, making you squirm in your seat. “Of course I can always have your father hanged for thievery; as you said, he's old, with little ability, no use keeping deadweight alive…”
“No !” You protest, “No, please, I...I'll stay !” There was no way you could stand by and let your father die, not when there was a chance to save him, even if it meant sacrificing yourself…
“Good girl.” Suguru pats your head, his smile widening. You could've sworn you saw a flash of something sharp, fangs? No, that's impossible. Your tired mind was simply playing tricks on you…
~~~
True to his word, Suguru released your father from the dungeons the next morrow. You'd been allowed a brief goodbye before he was sent away, courtesy of the Lord.
After that, you expected to be thrown into the damp cells or at best given a room in the servants quarters; not that there was anything to complain about; these were the terms of your father's life in exchange for you spending yours in captivity. However, to your surprise, you had been given a room in the west wing of the castle, right besides Suguru's.
“You need to stay close to serve me,” he chuckled when asked for the reason. Cold hands patted your head, ruffling your hair in the process. He really seemed to like doing that.
Suguru was a strange captor, never asking you to do harsh tasks; quite the contrary, he was quick to grow agitated whenever you suggested doing anything related to household chores, working in the gardens, cooking meals, or tending to the horses with other servants...
“How many times must I repeat myself? Your only task is serving me.”
But you never want me to do anything! You bite your lips every time, silently screaming in your mind. Serving the Lord was boring. All he asked of you during the day was to sit in his office as he finished the never-ending amount of paperwork on his desk. Occasionally, he'd ask you to fetch him his special wine, and that was it.
Despite his at times odd behaviors, you found Suguru to be charming? others might label you as debauched for finding the man who threatened to kill your father, and now served as your captor attractive, but strangely, you couldn't bring yourself to care, how could anyone be expected to remain impervious when facing someone so...alluring.
To make matters worse, he was so much more than a pretty face. He was gentle and kind; there was the casual teasing and laughing whenever he noticed you getting flustered due to his words, and even that made your heart flip-flop...
It was so easy to get lost in him, but you tried the best to nib the blooming affections at the bud, constantly reminding yourself of the position you had. There was no way Lord Geto Suguru would return your feelings; he was a highborn lord who'd go on to marry a purebred lady of upper-class society. You were a prisoner, lowborn, and insignificant compared to him...
For what felt like a year, you continued living the same daily routine: waking up, getting dressed, drawing Suguru his morning bath, helping him dress, never leaving his side, letting him nuzzle into the crook of your neck. “It calms me,” he claimed, something you never questioned, and as the days went by, you began feeling more and more like a pampered house pet than a prisoner serving their sentence, but then you started to grow homesick missing your father and the garden of herbs you tended to…
~~~
“Suguru” you said one night as you both sat by the fireplace, having finally worked up the courage to ask him, "I...I was thinking, Would it be alright if I visited my father? Not for long, of course, just a few days…I promise I'll return; my village is close by, I just w—”
Suguru's wine glass shattered in his hands, expression growing cold. You flinched at the sound, eyes widening at the sight of blood dripping down his finger. What was happening? You had never seen him react like this before. Sure, there was sternness or chiding whenever you accidentally scalded yourself trying to bake something, but this was completely new... and it terrified you.
“Leave? You wish to leave me?” Suguru rose from the chair, his expression a mixture of anger and disbelief. “I thought you'd just need time to accept me,” he whispered, violet eyes glimmering dangerously as he approached you, and you're not sure if you heard him right. Accept him? What did he mean? You swallowed nervously as he inches closer, your back hitting the smooth wall, his arms on your sides trapping you in place.
“Sugure...” You want to beg, to tell him you regret asking to go home, to promise you'll never ask again. But all that comes out is a broken sob as you feel him dig his fingers into your hips to keep you from moving out of his hold.
His eyes softened. "No, no, hush now...I'm sorry, I didn't mean to…” hands trailing to your face, gently wiping the tears under your eyes. “Always forget how delicate your kind can be...” he sighs, resting his forehead against yours.
You don’t move. Thoughts whirling as you replayed his words in your head. Your kind, your kind, your kind, your kind. You knew you heard him right; he'd said it, but what did that even mean? Suguru was like you, wasn't he? He was human...
He was cold, too cold, always cold…
He didn't eat, always making some sort of excuse to skip meals…but he loved to drink…the special wine he loved, it was red and smelled metallic like…like…blood …
“Nosferatu.” You mumble knowingly, looking into his violet eye.
Every little child had been told the tales of his kind. blood sucking creatures of the night who feasted on mankind, vampires, and Suguru was one of them. The revolution was too much; you could feel yourself losing air, and then you fainted in his arms.
~~~
You wake this time in something soft and velvety. Seeing the faintest flicker of candlelight around as you force your eyes to open. your neck hurts, you feel strange, warm, too warm this wasn't your room; it was…
“You're awake.”
His. Your mind replays the events before Suguru wasn't human; he was a monster, something straight out of the scary bedtime stories your grandmama would tell you...
“Don't hurt me !” You try to back away, to break free of his hold, tears streaming down your face. This wasn't how you envisioned your life ending.
No, no, no, no…
“I won't,” he tries to assure, but you can feel his hands tighten around your waist. His cold lips stop against your pulse point as he licks up and down your neck. “You're mine, my fated, I couldn't hurt you even if I wanted to…”
Fated? What in the world was that? You open your mouth, wanting to scream for help, but all that comes out is a helpless moan... You feel so week, your body was on fire. You needed something, anything, to make it go away....
“If only you knew how painful it was.” His voice is a drug, intoxicating, but if you take too much, you'll die. Large hands gently rub your thighs, making you shake. “Denying myself of claiming you when I first set eyes on you...so fucking hard, but then you say you want to go back...” he laughs, not the usually warm ones that make your heart flutter. No, this one was cold. Sending shivers down your spine...
“No more waiting”
You let out a squeak as he pushes you into the mattress, moving himself to face you now. Violet eyes shining with hunger, and desire...
“Suguru–” he slams his mouth on yours, fully intending on muffling whatever protests you have. His tongue was rough and cruel as he filled your mouth, only pulling away to rip your dress off, leaving you bare for him, hungry eyes taking in every little detail of your body as he strips himself off his dark robes. Why was he so beautiful ? His face, his toned muscles, his... oh, so big, there's no way that'll fit. You want to run and hide, shrink into nothing so he can't find you...
“my perfect love” he coos lips again on your neck slowly trailing kisses, down to body until he's reached the place you no man has ever seen. you want to squeeze your thighs shut to tell him not to look, but you can't, not with the firm grip he has on you legs...
“This is mine,” he takes a long lick, burying his nose into your wetness, inhaling your smell. “My pussy,” he groans into you, “mine to breed.” His long fingers move now, rubbing against your bundle of nerves as he greedily laps at your juices, this... this was what you needed to stop the burning in your core. You feel yourself shake, hips rocking into Suguru's face, hands making their way to his scalp, pulling him closer. You need it, need more, so close...then you fall over the edge; too much, too much, and he's drinking it all up...
Pulling away, he gives you a mischievous grin showing off his fangs, as he comes back up to kiss your lips so you can taste yourself on his tongue, rocking his hips so you can feel how hard he is, how much you turn him on...
“Please, please, Suguru, please...” You're not sure what you're begging for, mind too foggy to comprehend anything. All your senses consumed by Suguru, his touch, his smell, you want him to make the burning ache go away...
“My sweet love,” he coos, kissing your forehead, hips still rutting into your stomach, “we'll be forever bound after this, as it was always meant to be...” he grins, love drunk eyes focused on you a feral gleam in them, and for a split second, the logical part of your mind returns, but it was too late now...He'd wrapped your legs around his waist one hand holding on to yours and the other moving down to gide himself into your virgin cunt.
You screamed at the foreign feeling, clawing at his back, he was tearing you open, filling your insides, it hurt so bad you didn't want it anymore...
“Shhhh you can take it,” he kisses you again, “my good girl” You feel him move gentle and slow, but the moment he hears you moan, he takes it as a sign to fuck you hard. It makes your head spin. He's so, so deep, you can feel him hitting all the right spots inside, making you see stars...
“Thought about breaking your legs when you said you wanted to leave,” Suguru growls into your neck, his sharp teeth scraping the bruised skin he'd bitten during your unconscious state. “But this is better,” you gasp as his pace becomes more brutal, deeper and deeper, giving you the feeling that the head of his cock would poke through your stomach. “You'll be my good girl from now on, won't you?” he looks at you, the edge of his mouth quirking into a sly smirk as if daring you to challenge him.
“Yes, yes...” you nod, the feeling of his fingers pushing on your already sensitive clit making you cum for the second time, toes curling as you cling on to Suguru, who moans at the feeling of your pussy walls fluttering around him sucking at him harder. "You'll look so perfect swollen with my seed,” his hands holding yours in a painful grip, thrusts growing sloppy and untimed, “Our own family, f–fuck... you'll never think about leaving me...”
No…no…no push him off…push him off
A tiny voice in your heart shrieked, knowing the consequences of what would happen if this beast successfully fucked his child into you. Any chance of escape gone, you'd forever be a prisoner to him…
But it was so hard to act, mind dazed, and vision blurry with fresh tears, tangled into Suguru's arms, whimpering as you felt him fill you up, rope after rope of his thick cum coating your inside, fangs sinking into your neck as you gush around him.
“My pretty love," he purrs, still inside you, “My always and forever.” blood coated lips met yours gentler than before, almost making you melt, thinking maybe just maybe being Suguru's wouldn't be so bad...
A Game of Thrones inspired RainWing! Very elusive, and one of the smallest dragon species known, the largest of which only growing about the size of an elephant. They are found deep inside massive jungles, hidden in the trees with their color shifting scales, and will see you long before you see them. RainWings are the most timid dragons, typically shying away from any humans they come across, and they’re not aggressive unless provoked. Remember, they’re more scared of you than you are of them! A scared RainWing will spit an acid-like venom from their fangs, deadly enough to kill a man in minutes, or leave you horrifically scarred. Due to their smaller size and lack of fire breathing capabilities, they are not much use in war. They can be ridden if you’re determined, but they do not bond to their riders. The few raised in captivity are mainly used as symbols of status and wealth, only owned by the most powerful lords and kings.
