I love this last line by Keith because he's projecting his own feelings on the situation: he believes him leaving caused the Paige workshop to decline, and the guilt associated made him think that the others wouldn't care for him anymore.

By extrapolation, this makes him also think (wrongly) that the Paige artisans don't care for Anne because she's an 'outsider', someone who was brought in only to fix the workshop and be free to go on her merry way afterwards.

And it couldn't be farther from the case. They're all frustrated by their lack of power and control over the situation: if they could, they'd already have tried to save her and Shall.

Right now, the only thing they can do is keep up the sugar crafting so that Anne won't feel guilty or disappointed her abduction set them back.

Once again, Elliot is a master of hiding his true feelings and appearing casual, but Keith saying they didn't care for Anne was the straw that broke the camel's back. His voice actor does an amazing job, switching from casual to angry back to jovial.

I also love how Elliot also takes the time to address Keith's hidden issue (the one about feeling like a traitor for leaving them) and set things straight.

Hello beautiful people! I'm wondering if anyone can procure me with the digital copies of the light novel raws of Sugar Apple Fairy Tale? Translations for the series seem to have been dying out a bit recently (unless anyone can point me out an active translator out there, that'd be fantastic!), and I'm having a hard time finding the raws online. You guys loved Cat's adequately frenetic reaction to what's going on at Hollyleaf Castle. Since we have a sneak-peek for the next episode, I'm wondering if Cat will come before or after what happens to Orlando (this is not a spoiler, look closely).

A small update to prevision post, if the Cat comes after "this".

( C-Cat, E-Elliot, S-Shall, A-Anne)

C: Elliot, what is this? *points to Orlando on the bed)

E: A-a-a-aggressive warrior fairy.

C: And the viscount did nothing?

E: So...

C: Why didn't you tell him?!

E: The workshop is in decline. This may be the only chance for us to stay afloat. And we already have too many problems.

C: Hugh is a bastard, for sure. But at least he can bring the knights here.

E: We have Shall.

C: Excellent, Shall will protect Anne. Who will protect me and the others? I am a confectioner, not a warrior. Are you suggesting that I defend myself with a kitchen knife?

S: Another fairy uses threads as a weapon. Even a sword will be useless in the inexperienced hands.

C: Fabulous. I'm going to write a letter to the viscount. I hope he can do something before we all get killed here.
