Rottmnt Leo headcannon

Leo starts ranting in Spanish. Once he’s overwhelmed and tired just something setting him off (invalidation of feelings, no one trusting him) he just starts ranting in Spanish. And Donnie only knows very few words in Spanish and can’t really follow but he gets the gist of it.

Just imagining him going

“!Pero no importa, ¿verdad? ¡Porque es Leo! ¡Porque el es el hijo más difícil! ¡Porque Leo es la problema! ¡Porque Leo sirve para nada! ¡Porque Leo es arrogante, es impulsivo, nunca piensa en los consecuencias! ¡No importa que tengo pesadillas, no importa como yo me siento porque no es importante!” Breathing heavily with tears in his eyes. “Leo tiene una sonrisa, el dijo una broma terrible, Leo está bien. No tenemos que preocuparnos de él. Tiene una sonrisa y se está riendo, no está afectado. Acabo que no mas quire el attention.” Whispers almost like a realization dawns on him, “Because it’s not about me, right? Because, it’s never been about me.”

Translation:

“But it doesn’t matter, right?! Because it's Leo! Because Leo has always been the most difficult child! Because Leo is the problem! Because Leo is useless! Because Leo is arrogant, impulsive, he never thinks of the consequences! It doesn’t matter that I have nightmares, doesn’t matter what I feel because it’s not important!”

“Leo is smiling, he told a terrible joke. He’s fine. We don’t need to worry about him, he’s smiling and laughing, he’s not affected. After all, he just wants attention.”

Tmnt 2012 hc:

I think that if the turtles were humanized they would all be black and/or blasian since they’re siblings and would have to have the same genetic tree (in 2012 I’m pretty sure they’re biologically related). However I love idea that they have slight differences between them since they hang out in different areas in nyc (a diverse city with a bunch of different cultures that I think would really interest them).

So anyways I hc that Splinter brought them all up to be bilingual, however Raph and Donnie aren’t as good at Japanese anymore since I think they aren’t as good with languages and they would consume a lot of English content growing up + Leo probably started translating Splinter for them and they kinda stopped needing to use it, so it faded a bit. I think Raph stopped speaking Japanese but can still understand it and could speak it (with some grammar and pronunciation errors) in a pinch. Donnie rarely speaks Japanese but he speaks it from time to time with Splinter, Leo, or Mikey. Leo is probably fluent in Japanese and English and I think her (Leo is transfem in my books) and Mikey can read Japanese while Raph and Donnie can’t. However, I think that Leo code switches and sometimes makes tiny grammar/pronunciation errors, with Mikey being the best at Japanese of all their (Mikey is aroace gender-fluid) siblings.

I don’t think Raph is a big language buff (unlabeled he/him non binary Raph supremacy), so he probably just knows English and Japanese. Meanwhile, I think Donnie knows code languages and probably taught themself (They/them for Donnie, source: me) obscure/dead/constructed languages like Esperanto or Latin. Leo probably can understand/read Spanish to some extent, though she’s barely conversational speaking it. She might also know certain phrases in a bunch of different languages since I hc that she wants to travel. Mikey, in my opinion, will be the best at picking up languages, probably fluent in Latin American Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, and Cantonese, conversational in Italian and Korean, and has begun to pick up some Haitian Creole (though her pronunciation isn’t good because she probably sounds either very American or has WAY to heavy of an accent). They also codeswitch and mesh together languages pretty often, so his siblings have begun to pick up a bit of their languages, especially Leo (how she learned Latin American Spanish)

I think they speak primarily English among themselves and Japanese/English with Splinter, who is plays a little game with himself when he hears music to guess the language it’s in

General bayverse headcanons part 2

Splinter

A very light sleeper

Anytime something happens in the lair, he knows

He knows so many of his son’s secrets but act as if he didn’t to protect their feelings

Like that one time he saw Leo flex in front of his mirror (he never did it again because ‘what if it was Raph or Mikey’)

Or that one time he went to ask Donnie a question and realized too late he was having some... alone time... and Donnie tried to play it off to save what was left of his dignity: “haha no I’m not doing anything, I’m fine, how can I help you?” but left a tab open

Let’s just say Splinter knows way more about his sons than he wish he did

He feels honored every time one of them, or hell, April or Casey, come to him for advice or just to vent

He’s jsut so happy to know they trust him

He loves watching movies with them

Doesn’t really understand pop culture but is thrilled when they take the time to explain it to him anyway

He keeps every single drawing Mikey ever made him, he has multiple boxes of them and he keeps his favorite in his room

It takes so much space, but they’re really important to him

Raph made him a really soft scarf that he wears every time they go to the surface (it reassures him)

He also has a sweater and a blanket, and he loves bragging about them: “Oh, this? Yes, my son made it for me :) Isn’t he talented :)”

He finds Donnie’s smarts both impressive and intimidating

Sometimes he’s scared he will never truly understand him or that he won’t have anything else to teach him

But then Donnie comes to him when he can’t sleep or had a nightmare, and he feels warm inside

He’s really scared for Leo

He has so much pressure on his shoulder and so many responsabilities, he’s terrified he will break someday

But Leo knows he can count on his family to support him if anything turns sour and is learning to open up (thanks to Splinter)

All in all, he’s the proudest dad there could be and definitely bragged and showed embarassing memories to April and Casey when they joined the mutants

His favorite animal is the canary

She’s the one to bring them snacks or useless trinkets they might like

Leo thinks it’s stupid and they should hoard that kind of things

(he does anyway)

She’s also the one to bring medical supplies to the lair when they’re getting short on them

She knows many people because of her job, and comes so often to the pharmacy that the people who work her eknow her and know to not ask too many questions

She doesn’t care about the sight of blood but the smell makes her sick

She still follows Splinter’s instruction when doing stitches and she took a few first aid courses with Casey

She’s the one who takes care of the biggest bugs of the lair

She’s also the one they all go to when they have an embarrassing question to ask (the kind of stuff you’re too embarrassed to ask one of your parents, no matter how close you are)

Doesn’t really listen to anyone, really

Except maybe Splinter from time to time

But like, if she wants to investigate something messy or dangerous, she won’t let anyone stop her

She won’t run straight into danger, she’s not stupid, but she’s not gonna back off just because it might be dangerous

“Okay, April, I’m sorry but you’ll have to sit this one out, it’s way too dangerous for a hum-” “She’s already inside”

She’s brave like that <3

The best at Just Dance

Even beat Raph from time to time

She has a terrible singing voice tho and loves to scream-sing just because she knows it drives Leo crazy

Sometimes will get picked up by one of the boys and just acts as if nothing hapened and keep talking about whatever the conversation was while being carried around everywhere

Speaks 3 other languages to varying degrees of fluentness: Spanish (fluent), French (still learning but she’s getting there), Arabic (beginner)

She knows insults in a lot of other languages tho (you know, just in case ;) )

The only one who doesn’t pull pranks on Casey (she takes pity on him and he gives her kisses when she takes his side so win-win)

Her favorite animal is the fox

He’s so fed up with their sibling nonsense

He’s always in the middle of their fights and he’s tired of this

But he’s even more tired of being the victim of their endless pranks (especially Raph and Mikey)

The payback is worth it tho

Surprisingly good with kids

Especially troubled kids (he used to be one, so he knows what to say to help them)

Also really found of small animals

Unlike Mikey who talks to them as equals, Casey baby talks and it’s both adorable and kind of silly

He’s well known in most of the rescue centers of the city because he always brings in stray animals here

Also volunteer in some of them from time to time

He’s really conflicted because of all of the horrible things othe cops do and he often wants to quit because of that

But if he leaves, he knows no one will try to make a change

He believes he can make things right and tries his best to callout his collegues when they say or do fucked up things

Also completely understand all the hate against cops, and don’t hesitate to let everyone know it’s justified when his colleagues try to play the victim

Despite his anger issues he tries to keep a level head when on the job

He wants to be a good cop, but being a good person is even more important (and almost got him fired multiple times, the only thing keeping him from that being his connection to Chief Vincent)

This is why he’s also doing his vigilante stuff at night

He knows that sometimes, the law won’t protect the most vulnerable people

But that doesn’t mean he shouldn’t

Once accidentally cut himself on the left with a piece of glass

He broke a glass jar, cleaned it up but forgot one little piece, and later stepped on it

It didn’t cut his foot, but he felt something under it and tried to get it off by rubbing his foot against his leg

Hence the stupid cut

Most of his scars aren’t really from his numerous fights, they’re just stupid injuries like that

His favorite animal is the cheetah

Alright- y’all wanted it- or at aleast like 2 of you did- so uuuuh TMNT OCS!! WOOOOHOOO!

Uh they’re not that good- And yeah! There is a 2012 one on here- I’m working on a Rise design for her (I wanna make her Baxter’s older sister in Rise, she’s not related to him in 2012 other than he built her the legs/tail she has)

First up is my favorite one- Cami!

Cami is a futacuchi onna (a two mouthed woman or in Cami’s case girl and one of my favorite tradition japanese Yōkai) and a mostly speechless assassin. Her mouth talks more than she does but the “talking” is just garbled speech. She’s quiet because she doesn’t know that much English, and is fluent in Spanish. The only times she gets above a whisper will she talks is when immense anger over comes her and just *intense Spanish yelling* She was hired to kill the turtles, but YKNOW she gets a huge ol’ crush on April and wouldn’t want to hurt her so REDEMPTION! I don’t have a 2012 version yet but I’m gonna make one. In that I think she would be hired by the Kraang to get April, since she can act much more human than they can. She would infiltrate April’s school, wearing her hood obviously, and pretend to befriend her. But Then she actually befriends her and- y’know- then she gets a huge ol’ crush on April and wouldn’t want to hurt her so XD

Next up is the Snake Sisters! They don’t have names yet but I’m working on it!

These two were snake charmers before getting mutated and stuck together. You’d think because they’re siblings they’d get along but they absolutely hate each other! Of course, the turts help them bond (very, very tediously) and eventually they become closer! And then start destroying things! Because what’s a mutant got to do? In 2012 they’re much more monstrous and physically violent towards each other, and is an experiment by the Kraang, leaning more into the darker ways 2012 is than Rise. They’re animalistic, sort of like bat dad (or Kirby, since we don’t wanna have fun around here) but they can still talk and act human when calm. The sisters attack whatever they can before April calms them down and they basically become her annoying aunts. In Rise, April isn’t that important to them, since they’re more focused on M U R D E R skekekejeje they also have a flute staff lol

Next is... ugh- I named her Cameron- I’m so sorry-

The reason I didn’t finish this or post her is because her design is too confusing. Before mutation, she was a student in photography club. Basically she got fused with her camera because idk in 2012 you can mutate with electronics and food so why not Rise??? I also made a bubble gum girl- a girl made of bubble gum- but I didn’t like her design so I’m fixing her up XD. Now back to Cameron. Cam is actually very happy with her mutation since she didn’t show her face online anyways, and in this form she can take photos and videos of anything as soon as she wants. However- that kinda sucks for the turtles cuz- well- SHE VIDEO’D THEM. They have this whole fight and eventually knock her memory card out and shut her down (it kinda sucks to be a camera) but Mikey convinces them not to wipe her because let’s not purposely make someone forget their entire existence. Too bad the Foot Clan does it anyways, gives her a machine gun arm and tells her that the Turtles wiped her memory and that she is actually a Foot soldier who now forgets all of her training because of them. So yeah! That’s fun!! I don’t have a 2012 version for her but I’m working on it! It’s probably gonna be very similar to Rise though.

And finally- ANOTHER PERSON WHO DOESNT HAVE A NAME! SHE’S ORIGINALLY A 2012 OC-

Okay so I don’t actually like her design that much. This is kinda an old drawing but basically- she’s a metal cyborg. She’s not a mutant, but before Baxter was mutated she found him and wanted him to build her legs after seeing what he did for Xever. The Foot promised he would as long as she repayed them with her service. So she did. She can change her legs into a tail and y’know that episode where the turtles had to go under water but there was a giant thing outside and they thought it was gonna kill them but it mistaked their turtle submarine thing for another of its species and like... flirted with it??? Uh yeah that’s not just randomly there- it’s her under water (with a mask of course) and that’s her introduction! After that they see her more often. Also Fish Face tries to flirt with her and she smacks him because, it’s not a weird crush or tsundere thing, she legitimately just hates him and his weird advances. She’s a really party-loving, fun girl but while working for the Foot and Shredder, her mind kinda twists a little. She becomes more angry, much more short tempered, but quieter and scared when people raise her voice or get mad at her. She’s scarred because of the Foot and I think that really extenuates how evil they are.Eventually the Turtles and April help her out, and for a little while she’s a spy, and then gets out under the boys’ protection! She becomes a scout for them and helps them on missions. Of course, her legs self-destruct because the Foot made Baxter add it in case she betrayed them. Of course there’s an intense scene of her trying to get out of them, and the Turtles desperately tearing them off of her, and she just narrowly escapes exploding. But Donnie builds her new ones, she’s got legs with a tail AND a jet pack so she can fight with her tail on land and fly! And of course, when Karai sees that mermaid girl got outta the clan, she’s really happy. Karai viewed her as the big sister she never had and they reunite happily. And then In Rise she’s Baxter’s older sister and is in a wheelchair. She’s very protective, sarcastic, and has some anger issues sometimes, but always has a soft smile on her face. She’s trying her best and genuinely cares for her lil bro. Bax of course rigs the wheelchair so she can fly in it, and she gets a tail of course! But it happens later. She’s not really evil and her and April are BFFs, but she‘s on Bax’s side and “plays his little game and entertains him. He’s only a bored little kid.” She’s friends with the turtles tho and it’s all really chill with her XD

Ollie was born to his doting Mothers, Evelyn and Margaret, on the 7th of October as their first and only child. Family always comes first for Ollie, as well as his culture. He is proud to be half Filipino as well as half Ecuadorian. He embraces both parts of his DNA; he is even fluent in both Tagalog and Spanish. He grew up speaking his mother’s language, and once he started his high school career he began to delve into learning Spanish.

Ollie was diagnosed with ADHD at age 6, after he had repeated kindergarten per his teacher’s request for remaining too immature to continue on as well as rambunctious. He was put on a medication to treat his disorder, however as Ollie got older he began to detest them due to the numbing nature of them. He didn’t feel like his naturally bubbly and energetic self. After convincing his moms to come off of it, as well as proving to them he would put in the work to learn to adjust without them, Ollie was weened off toward the end of his high school career. He has his difficult days still, sensory overloads and meltdowns never easier to cope with when they hit hard, but at the end of the day Ollie’s positivity always comes out stronger.

Being the energetic and charismatic person he is, it’s no surprise that the stage called to Ollie at a very young age. As a toddler, Ollie was exposed to his mothers’ favorite musicals, including Donny Osmond’s portrayal in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. A defining moment that inspired him that he wanted to captivate audiences the way he had been from watching the VHS tape daily. He performed in his first show at 5 years old, playing Sebastian in a stage production of The Little Mermaid. From there, he continued to act whenever he had the opportunity. He was a theatre kid throughout his entire school career, even becoming the president of his Thespian Troupe in high school.

Once the curtains on high school closed, though, Ollie needed a break from the structured schedule that school had him on. It was difficult to buckle down his last couple of years of high school and learn to adjust to controlling his energy and attention deficit issues. He decided to take a gap year, not because he wasn’t sure what he wanted to study but because he needed time to mentally relax before going back to school. He traveled around with his Mothers for a while, then decided to apply to Joie University to pursue his performing dreams. He is a Senior now, and will be 25 in the Fall. He is one of the oldest among his peers, given the fact he was held back early in his school career and the extra year he took as a break. Regardless, he feels accepted by his peers.

Ollie has an easy time making friends, because of his fearlessness in approaching strangers to brighten their day. He makes friends wherever he goes, and he surrounds himself with different groups of people at school by staying involved. He is the President of the Filipino Student Association, loving the fact that he has a platform to share his culture with fellow students, the Vice President of the Drama and Glee Club for his good friend Mercedes who sits as President, and he is also part of the LGBT+ Association. He will be sad when he eventually does graduate, but he plans on his Senior year being the best yet. He also knows it will prepare him for his future, in which he hopes he will make that move to New York to make his dream of being on Broadway come true.

What made you want to attend Joie University? It’s close to my home so I know a lot of my pals go there! I’ve heard amazing things about the theatre department too and it will help me gain more experience as I prepare to make my move to New York to pursue Broadway. Plus I like that Joie sounds like Joy cause it makes it sound like a really happy place and I’m really happy so!

What are at least 3 positive or neutral and at least 3 negative traits that you believe you possess? I am kindhearted, excitable and goofy. I don’t like sayin’ ‘negative’, but I think some not-so-nice things about me that I can work on are that I tend to be distracted, naive, and oblivious.

Which of your traits do you value most? I love being excitable and a jokester and all that, but I think the most important thing anybody can be is kind.

How can that trait benefit the University (or its student body) as a whole? It usually doesn’t take a lot to brighten someone’s day, just complimenting their hair or outfit or just letting them know that you appreciate them can totally shift their mood. I love to help bring out the best in people and ultimately it helps to bring out the best in me! Being kind is free so you should give that away like it’s going out of style! Kindness will never go out of style though, they ain’t jelly shoes. I shouldn’t say that, jelly shoes are actually making a comeback. POINT IS- it’s cool to be kind! Always.

What do you hope to gain from your experience at JU? I hope to make friends, memories, and wonderful art on stage. And if it’s build your own taco day in the cafeteria I will most likely make a mess too. Not on purpose, though. I promise to clean up any contents spilled out of my taco.
