At long last, I have returned to this series! I've been putting my newfound free time to good use to get back into art, and because of this, I have been itching to draw baby Bokushi again, so here I am!

I upgraded my art software to the 'pro' version today and immediately started experimenting with new brushes, and I think I've finally settled on a brush that I'm satisfied with. Hopefully, I can keep it consistent. Anyway, here is the baby. (❁´◡`❁)

I decided to do a pajama look this time. I thought about what he would wear to sleep at this time of year and eventually settled on a button-up set since both Akashis love a good button-up. I personally think the shorts make him look extra cute. It gives off a bit more of an innocent vibe, which makes for a good juxtaposition since he's only five in the physical sense.

Anyway, this was a nice warm-up to get back into things. Hope you guys like it!

sorry I will not shut up about this show But. I just. wanted to mention how fucking cool it is that ok ko has a major bi character in it (a bi man at that) that has important on-screen romantic relationships portrayed with both a female partner and a male partner and neither is considered less legitimate than the other. his orientation isnt pointlessly called into question or suggested to have been faked or changed for ending up with a man when he was previously with a woman. It’s just natural, and so one doubts that he was once romantically interested in/involved with carol just because he ended up with boxman. and I think that is very cool and something I feel like I super rarely see with bi characters– when bi characters are represented I feel like it’s pretty common to only have them shown romantically involved with one gender or another and it’s more of a side note that they also like people outside that gender, or they’re portrayed as “confused” or god forbid suggesting their feelings for someone weren’t really real because they ended up with someone of another gender (not to be confused with comp het; in that case the individual isn’t bi and that’s different). And so having a children/family show that has two solidly bi characters first of all, and one who’s a grown adult who’s had established relationships with two genders on screen is just honestly really cool and I appreciate that so much

Thinking about how Ishgard isn't a full democracy if the house of lords still seems to be the final word over the house of commons, since Aymeric is still seen as the leader of Ishgard. There's no separate figurehead, or a joint weighting between the two houses. He's also still head of the army as far as I can tell, and informally carries a lot of weight with decisions on the future of the church that people are just giving him because they like him.

Then I started thinking about if there was a full election for a head of state, the guy who's been putting in the effort with the Firmament and redoing the Brume is Francel. So it would probably be a bitter run off between him and Hilda after Aymeric got knocked out because he's probably still wildly contentious with the lower classes and even if they're not quite in the mood to stab him any more, it's not like he's the perfect candidate for ALL of ishgard. Sometimes that's just how it is when you bring about dramatic change to a place, and he hopefully doesn't have the dictator instinct to claw at the power that opportunity gave him while he earnestly meant well and he deserved it as a liberator and change maker.

Anyway I'm a nerd so I'm thinking about their political campaigns.
