good day today! went to singing lessons, then to the library, proofread 50 pages of a manuscript for the internship, started reading "living dolls" by natasha walters for the bimbo feminism paper and had a quick call with my boss! i think i can manage the current workload (just need to make sure not to lose sight of uni stuff) and that i'll be able to establish a routine! tomorrow i'll get to the library later though it was so crowded today..... fucking nerds

Meal time guide: for weight gain & accommodating three meals a day
I wanted to discuss the meal time guide I’m using to further excel in my weight gain journey. This would require you to begin the process of organizing your day as well, especially, what time you wake up in the morning, working around your work and school schedule as well. The goal is to not miss meals during the day and continue to keep yourself well fed and stick to the routine to avoid drastic appetite changes or irregular eating times. I used to struggle a lot with eating, not only in sufficient portions but with eating times and reserving time throughout my day to stop and make sure that I’m eating well and that resulted in a lot of sloppy eating habits and weight loss. I hope that this is helpful for some of you can apply this little meal time guide to your lives. <3!

Meal times:

Breakfast: 6am-9am
╭୨୧︰ no later than 10 am
╭୨୧︰ always eat within the first hour of waking up
╭୨୧︰ choose something nutritious or something high protein (eggs, yogurt, oats, etc.)
╭୨୧︰you can have a protein shake as well with your breakfast if you have the appetite to accommodate that and all of those calories

Lunch: 12-2pm
╭୨୧︰no later than 4pm
╭୨୧︰the ideal time gap between breakfast and lunch would be approximately 4-5 hours
╭୨୧︰meats like chicken, salmon, and beef are good for high protein meals
╭୨୧︰if you have trouble cooking on the spot or are a little lazy or have a busy schedule meal prepping could serve you well for larger meals like lunch and dinner.

Dinner: 5-8pm
╭୨୧︰no later than 10pm
╭୨୧︰your last meal of the day should be eaten at least three hours before sleep (but that’s completely up to you that’s just what the experts say)
╭୨୧︰this is a good time to incorporate meat into a meal again for added protein
╭୨୧︰chicken, fish, beef, pork etc.
╭୨୧︰asparagus, sweet potatoes, yams, pasta, and various other sides or high protein foods that have a lot of carbs or aid in weight gain.

Notes 📝 :
╭୨୧︰snacking between meals is always allowed, depending on your appetite and how much room you have for extra food you can snack in between meals.
╭୨୧︰you can use a system that would require you to save your biggest meal for last, smaller less hefty meals for breakfast and lunch and a large meal for dinner could be easier for someone who is trying to increase their meal and portion sizes gradually. So you have more time to digest your food and an opportunity to avoid bloating.
╭୨୧︰try new recipes and try cooking at home when you have time. This will save you more money. The worst that can happen is that you won’t like it and you can try something else.
╭୨୧︰meal prep if you’ve got a busy schedule or have a hard time finding time to eat or are lazy.
╭୨୧︰document your meal times or share your food or meals on social media if that helps you feel more motivated to eat.

doing this sort of deep and detailed worldbuilding that doesn't really happen in my litfic works (well worldbuilding is still there, but even when i write litfic in a fictional setting it's not the same as this speculative project where there's lots of specific lore) has felt really nice because it's something to hold onto and familiarise myself with before i jump into the draft, but also because i'm not trying to outline the story alongside that i'll still get all the ways that discovery writing benefits me. making me think about how whether you're plotting a story ahead of drafting or not these sort of pre drafting rituals are really helpful and can take so many different forms depending on the story + writer
