Im watching the docudrama about David Rothenberg. (The story is basically his dad tried to kill him at 6 years old because parents were divorced and mom had custody. Burned him alive. But he survived. Barely.)
Im only 30 mins in and im fucking pissed.
Everyone is dismissing the Mom (Marie) and her feelings about leaving her son with his dad. Like yes, she allowed him a week with their son, but she has a feeling something is wrong. And it is! But no one is taking her seriously. Not even the boyfriend.
Like she cant even get ahold of them on the phone. (1980s. Actual housephones.)
Thats concerning. And no one seemed concerned about her thoughts on the guy and even kept pushing her to just give in a bit to him regarding david.
And it pisses me off. This isn't just "mama bear" or "mom.jealous of fun parent". She is concerned for a reason.
But nope. No one believes her and considering what happens its a tragedy. A real fucking tragedy.

'The Expendables 3' - A Franchise Killer
WRITER’S NOTE: This review was written in 2014.
I was really looking forward to the third “Expendables” movie ever since I saw the teaser trailer which was scored to the theme for “Bridge on the River Kwai.” None of the films in this franchise will ever be mistaken for high art, but they bring about a much-needed nostalgia workout which many of us have for the action movies from the 1980’s.…

Ngl, these Big Sky finale interviews have me laughing my ass off. Glad I ducked out of the show when I did but man is this entertaining. As much as I love Cassie and Beau, separately and together, I'm actually quite relieved they didn't go that route.
It should be interesting to see where Elwood ends up once Big Sky is finished.
