Have you seen the latest article about Charlie’s biography? I saw it on udiscovermusic. It sounds like it will be an outpouring of love for Charlie with new interviews from the band and his family. Even his sister has been interviewed. Why does it sound like I’m writing a press release? Lol I was going to read it no matter what but now I’m really excited.

Yes! It all looks wonderful. Mick and Keith are both doing forwards, which I think is really sweet. They both had very close friendships with Charlie in addition to the bond between the three of them, so it’s nice that they both get space to talk about that and why Charlie was important.

Also good to know that both the family and the band signed off on this book, which is why it’s authorized. According to a band statement:

“Our dear friend Charlie Watts was not just a fantastic drummer but a wonderful person. He was funny and generous and a man of great taste and we miss him terribly. It’s great that his family have authorized this official biography by Paul Sexton, who’s been writing and broadcasting about Charlie and the band for many years.”

And, like you mentioned, his sister Linda, as well as the other Stones, friends/colleagues, and Dave Green, his close friend since age 4 and the bassist for all of his jazz projects. Paul Sexton’s, the author, comments are quite promising too, because it seems like he’ll be bringing a real love for Charlie as well as knowledge of his biography.

“One of Charlie’s good friends said to me that he was a very easy man to love. Having had the pleasure of his company on so many occasions over the course of more than a quarter of a century, that’s a sentiment I echo wholeheartedly.”

Mike Edison’s Sympathy for the Drummer was an amazing analysis of Charlie’s importance and innovative nature as a musician, so it would be fantastic to see a book that does a good job celebrating his life to go along with it.

Dave wasn't instructed to be patient - he was asked whether he'd prefer to be patient, and instructed to commit to that preference. As a result, he split into Patient Dave and Impatient Dave.

In essence, Dave is making a statement about the kind of person he wants to become. Instead of choosing to do something, he's choosing to be something - and I think that's what split the timeline.

My assumption is still that Terezi's coin flip is a constant. The Veil's timeline isn't splitting here, so her Bad Heads is predestined.

Doomed Dave's responses to the coin are the inverse of Dave Prime's. They both got the same Bad Heads, and their responses reflect the commitments they made.

If she'd rolled Good Heads, each Dave would be in their 'good' role, but both roles would still be filled. We'd be looking at an identical scene, but the Daves would be in opposite positions, with Patient Dave standing over Impatient Dave's body instead.

Instead, each Dave gets his 'bad' role - the one he didn't want.

Dave Prime is impatient. Bad Heads means he needs to wait, and he reluctantly does so. He returns to his Quest Bed after several hours of killing time, and has just realized the irony of that statement.
