Random Headcanon 8

Will Shane is the reason that Enigmo slugs are so rare to come by. They weren’t always highly valued before Will came along and figured out their true abilities. The only Enigmo we can confirm he did not use for his messages has been Mo, the Enigmo Eli saved in ‘Endangered Species’ from Gerald Stocker.

Bonus; The Enigmo slug we see in Spink's collection he hands off to Nacho in 'The Trade' could either be Mo or another Enigmo. In the case I choose, it isn't Mo, but rather the Enigmo that ends up belonging to my OC Dandy. She calls them Momo and is fascinated by the fact Will Shane put a message into the slug and has been trying to decode it since she found out.

My scug, Dandy! They can piggyback two slugpups and carry one in their mouth to hold babies and keep their hands free :D They'd start their campaign with one pup (that pup being Metal Pipe, the little grey/black one) and have increased pup spawn rates. She's also able to tame lantern mice, centipedes, and jetfish! And finally her spots and antennae glow in the dark, essentially giving the effect of eating a neuron fly without having to go get one. They would also be unable to ascend due to their title/role as a parent to abandoned slugpups; I like to think their campaign's ending would be similar to the slugtree ending Monk and Survivor have.

I think Pelleas would be really into using social media, but instead of being on like..a youtube or twitch-style service like Pillow is, he'd be more of a tiktok/insta kinda guy. I could see him having a few accounts that he uses to show off him and his lifestyle, with one account dedicated to pictures of himself, his outfits, and his parties, and a separate account dedicated to his precious lil axolotl! He might be a horrible little man, but he'd put his heart and soul into making good axolotl care content, and he'd be pretty proud of it as well!

Dandelion would be really social media savvy as well, but wouldn't post much about herself, only really choosing to stalk Pillow on the socials that she has. Aside from the fan discord that she runs, she'd most likely make a Pillow stan account somewhere that's slightly lower-key than the discord.

I present to you, my Spooky Month oc!

This ere’ is Artemis, she’s basically my go to design for any self insertish character, and she’s usually always a being of great power.

But, I know for some people my penmanship is abysmal, so if it’s needed:

Old ass demon lady

Owns a farm/orchard on the edge of town

If she bit you, she’d probably give you some unknown disease that’d make your skin melt off

Very tired of children stealing her produce

Knows nearly everything about dinosaurs and prehistory

Her staff has a hidden blade

Has to wear a knee brace due a scuffle with a demon hunting Van Helsing

And some more additional lil facts:

She’s 4’11 (like me)

Her surname is a nod to the fact that her true form is based on Bighorn and Blacknose sheep

Very much into the vulture culture aesthetic, she probably has a whole room or so decorated in bones and taxidermy. She’s also very knowledgeable of botany, pathogens and toxins.

She’s kept many odd pets over the years, including a saltwater crocodile named Dandelion, whom she nicknamed Dandy

She likes anything caramel, especially caramel creams

And finally, in relation to her entire reason to exist in this universe (Bobby boy), she’s a very romantic woman. Dear, darling, love, anything. She likes to call her partners things related to their person, or rather something that reminds her of them

One of her many nicknames for Bob is sundew, in relation to the round-leaved sundew, which is one of many carnivorous plants

Anyways, that’s about all for now, and I don’t really know how mobile tumblr works. So, if you have any questions about Artie feel free to ask under the post.

💍 Does your OC have a specific item that is priceless to them but may (or may not) be completely worthless to someone else? Is there a story behind this item or is it just because they like it so much?

Inga has items she cherishes, but I don't think she has any that she considers priceless. She has all the material goods she could want in Amberglow, and always did prefer someone's time and company over any one item they could give her, even if that item could hold great sentimental value to her. (And of course, not to say that she doesn't value the gifts her loved ones give her.)

For Enca, I don't know what the item is exactly, but there's some small accessory that Edith gave them as a child. Hairpin? Necklace? Set of earrings? Something simple, but with a unique design. At the time, Edith wove a fantastical tale about where it came from, something about a gift from a knight in shining armor that watched over them from afar (in reality, a gift from Enca's father*). The story lost its weight as Enca grew older, but they were so charmed by the tale and liked the accessory so much that they've kept it to this day.

(*General context for Enca's parents: Glamorous opera singer and doting crime lord who decided they should never be seen together in public and spend minimal time together even in private for safety's sake → Enca only ever knew Edith.)

🗺️ Does your OC like going on adventures? Have they ever discovered something really interesting and significant or are they just too busy getting lost? Where is their favourite place they’ve been? Least favourite?

Oo yes, Dandelion always did like a good adventure. As a kid, when their whole world was The Garage, they'd have those adventures kids do. Adventures as grand as finding the greatest treasure in all the galaxy (looking through boxes of metal scraps), running around the hangar while the adults worked, or scampering around the garden with the garage dog, lifting up stones, finding bugs. When Dandelion started piloting with the salvage team, sometimes they'd think of a delve like an adventure too. Getting to go to old sites filled with ruined mechs, finding old parts to be made into something new, seeing relics of things from a time and place outside of their own.

I don't know if Dandelion has been here already, or if they find it post-leaving home with Benni (perhaps this place is even on the planet engulfed by the star creature), but somewhere in this setting there's a forest of giant trees growing out of fallen mechs that I think they'd really like. Giant, giant trees that you can't circle with even ten people, spaced apart enough that mechs can maneuver through.

I'm not exactly sure of their least favorite place, but I'm imagining some megalopolis that they were staying overnight in after a delivery that they kept getting lost in. Loud and stressful, too many buildings, too many roads, too many archways and underpasses they couldn't wrap their head around. Locals could navigate it just fine, but Dandi, unfortunately, was like this the entire time:
