‭1 Samuel 17:45-47 (NIV)‬. “David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the Lord will deliver you into my hands, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head. This very day I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds and the wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel. All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves; for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give all of you into our hands.”
“Defeating Our Goliaths” by In Touch Ministries:
“Faith habits prepare us for the inevitable battles that come.”
“Life’s “Goliaths” come in all shapes, sizes, and intensities: an unhappy relationship, a difficult job, a pile of debt. In today’s passage, David faced what appeared to be an insurmountable problem, but he was victorious through God’s power. We can be, too.
David declared victory over Goliath before the battle even began (v. 46). His confidence was rooted in his past experiences with the Lord. What’s more, David believed triumph was certain because he came in the name of the Lord. As a shepherd, he’d spent hours alone in the wilderness, listening to God’s voice. Even a giant’s discouraging shout couldn’t shake his convictions about who God was and what He could do through His servant.
David had practical faith habits. A strong relationship with the Lord developed from spending time in His presence. This in turn enabled David to face problems with certainty that he was a beloved child of God, with full access to his Father’s storehouses of power, courage, and wisdom. If doubts ever arose, he could look back on God’s great faithfulness in past troubles.
To be victorious, we should practice David’s spiritual habits. Spend time with God and keep a record of His work in your life. Then you can be confident that He is sufficient, no matter the obstacle.”

Jeremiah 29:12-14
"Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the LORD, and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you, declares the LORD, and I will bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile."

I finished my hand stitched cover for a Gospel & Psalms to accompany St. Augustine's Prayerbook in my purse. A lot of people craft their devotional materials, but everyone should at least a little, I think.

The Power of Thinking
Your thoughts are some of the most powerful things about you. Thoughts can actually make you more anxious, happy, fearful, or content. And what you spend time thinking about has the power to affect your emotions, your actions, and ultimately—your character.
Scripture has a lot to say about our thoughts because God knows the power of our minds. Isaiah 26:3 says that God will keep our hearts in perfect peace if we keep our minds fixed on Him. Can you imagine that? Perfect peace.
The more time we spend focusing our thoughts on God and His Word, the more our hearts will be kept in peace. That is a powerful thought, especially in a world that is constantly looking for peace and unity.
The starting point for this peace is trusting God. We must come to Him trusting in who He is, and having faith in what He has done for us. We know that God is good and just. So if we have faith in Him, we know that we are accepted and loved by Him. And those who trust in God are given access to Him and His presence.
Perfect peace is available to those who consistently trust in God, and fix their thoughts on Him.
What does it mean to keep your mind steadfast on God? In Philippians 4:8-9, Scripture says to think about things that are pure, lovely, right, and true, so that God’s peace can be with us.
How many of your thoughts are spent on things relating to God? Do you keep your mind focused on Him when you’re feeling anxious or stressed? What are some simple ways you can continue to remind yourself to think about God throughout your day?
Spend some time thinking about the power of your own thoughts and the access you’ve been given to God through Scripture. Commit to building the habit of centering your thoughts on God so that you can experience His perfect peace.

[We must] offer to God the spiritual sacrifices of prayer and praise every day, morning and evening. Our daily devotions are the most needful of our daily works, and the most pleasant of our daily comforts. Prayer-time must be kept up as duly as meal-time. Those starve their own souls, who [neglect such] constant attendance on the throne of grace; [only] constancy in religion brings in the comfort of it.

Hi, I'm Luna Salix, it means moon willow.
According to the akashic records, I'm a 723 year old soul. So I'm a crone before I was a maiden or a mother. I always joke about how I'm a female Benjamin Button, I lived life the opposite way.
My creed is simple, do no harm and take no shit. Simple but not so simple in reality of course.
I'm not freaked out by vague ideas of karma enough to defang me, I'm not socially programmed enough to be a stereotype either.
I meditate, do yoga, cast spells, pray and live out my magick daily. Never failed to manifest any wishes into reality, never abandoned by a higher power, all things in their own good time is how I see it.
I used to smile and flip my hair, tell my childhood friends "it's magick" when I was too tired to explain. Little did I know, it was a prophecy more than it was a cheeky flirty comment.
Welcome to my Tumblr, hit follow if you would like more tips about holistic healing, mental health, spells and personal empowerment.
I do both Moon magick and Soleil magick, merging the light and dark sources for a balanced life is always my priority.
Thank you for stopping by, hit follow for updates!
Love Light Peace
