Ouch
I have sciatica and bursitis. I have a fallen arch in one foot. I have pinched nerves in my neck that cause numbness in my hands. I’m a fucking mess. I hurt pretty much all the time. (This isn’t fibro level pain, this is 2-4 on the pain scale)
Nothing I’ve found is particularly helpful. I use a combination of massage/stretching/ epsom salt baths/ supplements/D8/OTC pain relief/ hope and ignoring to try to manage it.
I have tried so many options and haven’t found anything I’m really happy with. The doctors I’ve seen either proscribe Gabepentin (I’ve described how that affects me for a full day) or Aleve. I’ve done physical therapy.
I’ve tried creams and rubs. I’ve tried epsom salt baths and magnesium creams. Those are helpful for muscle related things but less effective on nerves and joints. I’ve used hemp and CBD creams. Those are sometimes effective-ish for a short while.
I don’t like the “icy hot” type things that focus on surface nerves with menthol, curcumin, peppermint oils. Those don’t help at all and just make my skin feel strange.
I don’t generally like lidocaine applications either although I’ll do it in a pinch. Numbing the area is sometimes a useful measure for brief periods.
There are 4 million products out there. None of it is regulated and most of it is crap. Some focus on frankincense and myrrh, some on menthol, some on arnica, some on hemp.
If anyone has any recommendations, I’d appreciate it.
I’m too young to have chronic pain.

Hi! I just wanted to ask you something, I'm not sure if you've dealt with something similar at any point, but I figured it would be worth a shot.
So, I'm an avid PC gamer, like hours a day (if time allows), and recently, i have started to draw more frequently. I know you are also an artist, so I figured I might ask if you have any techniques/tips for stretching your dominant hand/wrist to prevent developing carpal tunnel? I haven't been drawing long enough (I think) to develop it anytime soon, but I'm still a little paranoid and Google hasn't been much help with specifics. Of course, if you are not comfortable answering this, I completely understand!
I wanna state that I am by no means a medical professional, this is just what I do personally as someone who grew up doing a myriad of activities involving my hands (viola, artistry, gaming, writing, etc.)
I don't think I've ever gotten carpal tunnel specifically, but I've definitely fucked up my wrists on occasion. Typically I'm drawing when I do it - majorly long pieces that take hours - but it has happened on occasion during long writing sessions. So, I've got a couple of strategies for remedying this:
angles are everything! my drawing tablet sits at a relaxed angle to put less strain on my wrist - I advise googling this as there are people who can explain this better than me. I also keep my laptop on a laptop pad typically, and I have a wrist-support mousepad. Very helpful.
finger stretches. This comes from my days as a violist, but I find carefully spreading my fingers with my other hand (kinda spock style but on all of them), then pulling them fully back individually then collectively, and ending with shaking my wrists out helps. Medically I can't speak if this is okay to do or not, and I do this primarily when I'm bored (like waiting for a train) not immediately before/after drawing.
CBD. It's legal where I live, but I have a "relief stick" which is just ointment to rub onto the affected area. It helps cool the pain.
Ice - if CBD ain't your style or legal for you, ice is a very good alternative for fast-acting relief of wrist-related pain.
Braces. I have two (left and right) wrist braces for when it's really bad. This is typically after long drawing sessions w/ few brakes when my wrists will just start to ache. I'll wear the brace for a few hours or a day or so, until the wrist stops hurting. Note: this wasn't a medically advised thing, my mother just suggested it since we had the braces around the house and I've never consulted a doctor on this. If you try this I highly suggest consulting a doctor first.
take breaks! Don't copy me - I will draw for hours without thinking of getting up to take a break and this has just seriously fucked me over so many times. Take a break at least every hour - though 30 minutes is the recommended frequency as it helps w/ blood flow. It'll give your wrists a break as well.
Again, I want to reiterate I am by no means a medical professional this is just my personal strategies. If you do start experiencing carpal tunnel seek medical attention.

Folks, seriously, if someone has chronic pain, chronic migraines, etc, and has lived with it for more than a few years, your advice, while possibly well intentioned, is usually useless.
I've tried most every migraine med on the market. The ones that work are out of my price range....or they can cause strokes because of the type of migraines I have.
I know all the at home remedies, and utilize the ones that work (spoiler: they usually don't help much.)
Essential oils are a scam. They're bs. My last neurologist actually ranted for five minutes about his hatred of essential oil salespeople before he remembered himself. (They're also EXTREMELY dangerous for pets, especially birds.)
Sometimes, someone with chronic pain will use cbd or thc. It's their decision, and it doesn't matter if it's legal for them or not. It doesn't matter if you like it or not. Truth of the fact is, thc and cbd are proven pain relief. Unlike essential oils.
Folks with chronic pain usually have tried everything they can access. Unless it's something truly off the walls, I can guarantee you, they've tried it.
There is nothing more frustrating than folks barging into your space, suggesting "oh, try this, it'll make the advil work," or "have you tried this super commonly suggested remedy" because at that point, I don't see you as trying to be helpful so much as we see it as rubbing it in that your pain is manageable with little effort. That, or I see you as simply trying to make yourself feel good for offering empty advice.
Unless you're in the same position, keep your snake oil to yourself. Unsolicited, commonly suggested, pointless advice just makes folks all the more painfully aware of how untreatable their condition is.
You're not helping, you're fishing for feel good points, and chronically ill folks like me are fuckin tired of it.

I have been having a hard time readjusting my pain levels to a more functional way of living. Lately, between muscle spasms, chronic pain ans high anxiety, I have been in uncontrollable amounts of pain and not slept more then a solid 2 hrs in one night for weeks now.
Like I have said I have been trying to hence the pain. While trying, with little relief. So, with all that said and all I've tried and all that has failed this time I felt as though I needed to try attempt number five with Gabapentin.
Last night was the first night I took Gabapentin right before bed time along with rubbing my legs with cbd cream (as per usual) and using kinetic tapping for my obvious areas if pain. Along with them I still took my Magnesium, prescription strength Tylenol and CBD oil.
With all of that stated, I can finnaly report the best night of rest, real rest I have had probably this year!
To wake up and not dread the painful moments of morning movement is a reward in itself. Then on top of that the energy I have right now (there is no words for) I feel a tad human and a ton of gratitude for this day!

Back Pain Begone: Finding the Best CBD Products for Back Pain
Back pain is a prevalent issue affecting millions of people worldwide, disrupting daily activities and diminishing quality of life. While various remedies are available, CBD products have emerged as promising alternatives for managing back pain. In this ultimate guide, we'll delve into what CBD is and its benefits for alleviating back pain, as well as explore some of the best CBD products for back pain and other issues tailored to tackle this common ailment.
Understanding CBD
CBD, short for cannabidiol, is a compound derived from the cannabis plant. Unlike its counterpart, THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), CBD is non-psychoactive, meaning it doesn't induce a "high" sensation. Instead, CBD interacts with the body endocannabinoid system, which controls various parts such as pain perception, mood, appetite, and sleep.
Benefits of CBD for Back Pain
CBD may help with pain by reducing inflammation and altering pain signals.
It could ease inflammation, which is linked to arthritis and other health problems.
CBD might lower anxiety and stress by calming the mind.
It could improve sleep quality by relaxing the body and mind.
Some research suggests CBD protects brain cells, helping conditions like Alzheimer's.
CBD has been approved for rare epilepsy types, reducing seizures.
It may help skin conditions like acne and eczema due to its anti-inflammatory properties.
There's potential for CBD to support cancer treatment by easing symptoms and slowing cancer cell growth.
Remember, individual responses vary, and it's wise to talk to a doctor before trying CBD, especially if you have health issues or take other medications.
Exploring the Best CBD Products for Back Pain
CBD Oil: CBD oil is one of the most popular forms of CBD products due to its versatility and ease of use. Users can administer it sublingually for fast absorption or incorporate it into their favorite beverages or recipes. Look for reputable brands that offer high-quality, full-spectrum CBD oil for maximum potency and effectiveness.
CBD Topical: CBD-infused creams, balms, and lotions are effective for relieving localized pain, particularly in the back. These topical are absorbed directly into the skin, giving focused treatment for specific regions of pain. Choose products that have extra pain-relieving compounds, such as menthol or arnica, for increased efficacy.
CBD capsules: CBD capsules provide a precise amount of CBD in an easy-to-swallow formulation, making them a simple and discreet solution. These capsules are used orally and give long-term relief from back pain, making them ideal for people with chronic diseases or those who prefer a straightforward approach to supplements.
CBD edibles: CBD edibles, such as candies, chocolates, and drinks, are a delightful and fun way to include CBD in your everyday routine. These solutions provide a regular CBD dose and are especially useful for people who have trouble swallowing tablets or detest the flavor of conventional CBD oil.
CBD Cream: CBD-infused creams are topical products that you apply directly to your skin. They're designed to target specific areas of discomfort, such as cream for muscular pain or joints. When you rub CBD cream onto your skin, this interacts with cannabinoid receptors in the skin's endocannabinoid system, helping to reduce inflammation and alleviate pain locally. CBD cream is often used for conditions like arthritis, muscle strains, and other sources of localized pain.
Incorporating CBD into Your Back Pain Management Routine
When introducing CBD products into your back pain treatment regimen begin with a low dose and gradually increase as required. Additionally, speak with a healthcare practitioner, especially if you are presently taking medication or have underlying health issues.
Conclusion
CBD products offer a promising solution for individuals seeking relief from back pain. Whether you prefer CBD oil, topical, capsules, or edibles, there's a wide range of options available to suit your preferences and needs. By understanding the benefits of CBD and selecting high-quality products like Rapid Nerve Rescue, known for providing some of the best neuropathy treatments, you can effectively manage your back pain and improve your overall quality of life.

Discover the Healing Powers of CBD Cream for Tennis Elbow
If you're an avid tennis player, a personal trainer, or just someone who engages in activities that involve repetitive arm movements, you've likely heard of 'tennis elbow.' This painful condition isn't exclusively for athletes as its name might suggest. The good news is that an effective, non-invasive remedy has surfaced from the rapidly expanding world of natural wellness – CBD cream. This article will delve into how you can find relief from tennis elbow with CBD cream in a way that's simple, effective, and completely natural.
Understanding Tennis Elbow:
Also known scientifically as Lateral Epicondylitis, tennis elbow results from repetitive arm movements that cause inflammation and pain in elbow joint. Be it painting, cooking, playing musical instruments or indulging in sports like tennis, these consistent and often rigorous activities can lead to the wear and tear of muscles, triggering the discomfort known as tennis elbow.
Demystifying CBD and CBD Cream:
Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of the hundreds of compounds found in the cannabis plant, renowned for its myriad therapeutic benefits. Unlike THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), the compound in cannabis responsible for its psychoactive effects, CBD will not get you 'high.'
CBD cream is a topical application that contains CBD derived from the hemp plant, a variety of cannabis with minimal THC content. Infused with natural ingredients like olive oil, shea butter and aloe vera, CBD cream is designed to moisturize the skin while delivering the wellness benefits of CBD. Get more info at https://cbdtopicalcreams.com/
CBD Cream as a Solution for Tennis Elbow:
CBD cream is celebrated as a natural alternative for traditional over-the-counter (OTC) medications. Here’s how it could be your perfect solution:
Anti-Inflammation:
CBD cream may work wonders for people suffering from tennis elbow due to its potential anti-inflammatory properties. It's believed to work by interacting with the body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS) that controls various functions, including our response to pain and inflammation.
Pain Relief:
The said interaction with the ECS can also result in an analgesic (pain-relieving) effect. That means applying CBD cream directly to the source of the pain may help to manage it effectively.
Quick Absorption and Relief:
CBD creams typically have quick absorption rates. This means that users can often experience relief just a few moments after application, offering an immediate solution during painful bouts.
How to Use CBD Cream for Tennis Elbow:
Just add a small amount of the cream on the affected area and rub it gently but thoroughly. Make sure to cleanse the area before application for maximum absorption. Be sure to follow the usage instructions on the packaging.
Conclusion:
Regardless of whether you're a professional athlete, high-powered executive, or a stay-at-home parent, nobody needs to live in constant discomfort. CBD cream might just be the solution for the pain and inflammation caused by tennis elbow. Offering swift relief in a completely natural manner, CBD cream is giving many individuals a new lease on life without the adverse effects of traditional medications. Be sure to consult with your doctor or professional health consultant before starting any new treatment.
Take control of your well-being and make peace with your persistent elbow pain using this natural splendor of wellness, CBD cream.

Tart Cherry is a revolutionary supplement that supports joint comfort and flexibility. It works by addressing the root cause of age-related joint decay.
The joint support formula has nutrients that relieve pain and soothe inflammation and swelling. It improves physical function and reduces joint discomfort.

Tart Cherry supplement provides long-term relief and prevents age-related joint deterioration. It is suitable for anyone with joint and mobility issues and those who want to improve their joint function and mobility.
The formula helps keep the synovial fluid thick and protects the cartilage tissue from damage. It reduces joint stiffness, chronic pain, arthritis, and osteoporosis. The ingredients in Tart Cherry are unique and scientifically proven to support joint health. The components have all the necessary nutrients to soothe your ailing joints.
According to the makers of Tart Cherry, the formula allows you to enjoy healthy and youthful joints. The doctor-formulated supplement uses a natural and non-invasive approach that works on your joint in the comfort of your home. The formula is your trusted solution for all joint-related issues.
Tart Cherry is an all-natural and safe formula free from nuts, dairy, soy, GMOs, gluten, crustaceans, and chemicals. It is vegan-friendly and non-habit forming. The manufacturer claims no potential side effects are associated with Tart Cherry.
Tart Cherry is produced in an FDA-inspected and GMP-certified facility following strict manufacturing standards. Each package has a genuine 60-day satisfaction guarantee that promises a risk-free investment.
How does the Tart Cherry work?
According to the makers of Tart Cherry, wear and tear is not the only cause of age-related joint decay. The joint jelly or synovial fluid is the secret to healthy joints.
The synovial fluid coats and lubricates the cartilage tissue in the body. Healthy synovial fluid is thick enough to cushion joint gaps and absorb shock. When blood can't reach the cartilage, the synovial fluid provides oxygen and nutrients to the joint. It also protects the cartilage and bone against cytokines that cause inflammation.
After age 30, the production of joint health molecules declines, causing poor joint health and decay. The hyaluronan molecule moistens the synovial fluid and gives it its thickness and slick consistency. The molecule absorbs water, which gives the synovial fluid its jelly-like quality.
Studies have revealed that environmental pollutants also break down the hyaluronan molecule, and that's the reason why people are developing joint issues now more than ever. Loss of the molecule causes the following effects:
Cartilage rubs against each other
- the synovial fluid begins to thin and dry due to fewer hyaluronan molecules. Less lubrication causes the cartilage to grind against each other, and joints feel stiff.
Cartilage lacks oxygen and nutrients
- when the synovial fluid thins and dries, it's unable to deliver essential nutrients and oxygen. Cartilage starvation leads to breakdown.
Cartilage cannot be shielded from cytokines
cytokines are the leading causes of inflammation. Thinning and drying the synovial fluid means cytokines can attack your cartilage anytime.
Tart Cherry contains natural ingredients that support the production of hyaluronan, which thickens the synovial fluid. The formula restores the fluid's jelly-like state, cushions the cartilage, and lubricates the dehydrated cartilage tissue.
Thickening your synovial fluid ensures proper delivery of nutrients to the joints and cartilage, which is essential for joint health. The formula also blunts the cytokines making it impossible to attack the cartilage. It provides maximum protection against inflammation, injuries, and other attacks.
Tart Cherry is rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties that help neutralize free radicals and reduce inflammation and swelling. It rejuvenates and nourishes your joints, restoring your youthful flexibility and mobility.

Choosing the Right CBD Product for Your Needs
Tumblr media
In recent years, the CBD market has exploded, offering a myriad of products catering to various health and wellness needs. Whether you're seeking pain relief, better sleep, stress reduction, or other potential benefits, finding the right CBD product for your specific requirements can be a bit overwhelming. With so many options available, it's crucial to navigate the market with knowledge and confidence. In this guide, we'll break down the key factors to consider when choosing a CBD product that suits your needs.
Understanding the Basics of CBD
Before we delve into product selection, let's start with a brief overview of CBD. Cannabidiol (CBD) is a natural compound derived from the hemp plant. Unlike its cousin, THC, CBD is non-intoxicating, meaning it won't get you high. Instead, CBD is celebrated for its potential health benefits, such as pain relief, anxiety reduction, improved sleep, and more.
CBD interacts with the endocannabinoid system (ECS), a complex network of receptors in the body that helps regulate various physiological processes, including mood, pain sensation, and immune function. When you consume CBD, it influences the ECS, potentially offering therapeutic effects.
Now, with this foundational knowledge, let's explore how to select the right CBD product for your specific needs.
Consider the Form of CBD
CBD products come in various forms, and the choice largely depends on your preferences and requirements. Here are the most common types:
CBD Tinctures: These are liquid extracts of CBD that can be taken sublingually (under the tongue) for fast absorption. Tinctures come with a dropper, allowing you to control the dosage precisely.
CBD Capsules and Softgels: Ideal for those who prefer a pre-measured dose, capsules and softgels offer convenience and discretion. They take longer to take effect but provide a steady release of CBD.
CBD Edibles: These are CBD-infused products like gummies, chocolates, and beverages. Edibles are a tasty way to consume CBD but may take longer to work due to digestion.
CBD Topicals Rub: Designed for localized relief, topicals are applied directly to the skin. They're suitable for addressing pain, inflammation, or skin issues.
Full-Spectrum vs. Broad-Spectrum vs. Isolate: CBD products may contain additional cannabinoids and terpenes (full-spectrum), a wide range of cannabinoids without THC (broad-spectrum), or pure CBD with no other compounds (isolate). Your choice here depends on whether you want to benefit from the entourage effect (full-spectrum) or prefer THC-free options.
Determine Your Desired Effects
Identifying your specific needs and goals is crucial when selecting a CBD product. Here are some common reasons people turn to CBD:
Pain Management: If you're seeking relief from chronic pain, arthritis, or post-workout soreness, consider products designed for pain, such as topicals or high-potency tinctures.
Anxiety and Stress Reduction: To manage anxiety or stress, a broad-spectrum or full-spectrum tincture may provide a comprehensive range of cannabinoids that work together to promote relaxation.
Sleep Improvement: For better sleep, a CBD tincture, softgel, or an edible designed to promote relaxation can be beneficial. Melatonin-infused CBD products are also available for sleep support.
Skin Health: If you're looking to improve your skin's health and appearance, CBD topicals can target skin issues like acne, eczema, or signs of aging.
General Wellness: Some people use CBD as a daily supplement to support overall well-being. For this purpose, a low-dose tincture or edible might suffice.
Understand Dosage and Potency
The right dosage of CBD varies from person to person and largely depends on factors like body weight, metabolism, and the severity of the condition you're addressing. It's advisable to start with a low dose and gradually increase until you achieve the desired effects. Pay attention to the product's potency, which is usually expressed in milligrams (mg) of CBD per serving.
For instance, a 10mg CBD gummy is suitable for beginners, while those with more significant needs might opt for a 25mg or 50mg tincture. Consulting with a healthcare professional can provide valuable guidance on the appropriate dosage for your specific situation.
Consider Product Quality and Source
Quality is paramount when it comes to CBD products. To ensure you're investing in a safe and effective product:
Choose Reputable Brands: Stick with established brands known for transparency, quality, and customer satisfaction. Look for third-party lab testing results to verify the product's content and purity.
Check the Source: Opt for products made from organic, non-GMO hemp. The source of the hemp can influence the quality of the CBD, as hemp plants can absorb contaminants from the soil.
Examine Extraction Methods: CO2 extraction is considered the gold standard for obtaining CBD because it ensures a pure and safe product.
Legal Considerations
CBD's legal status varies by region, so it's crucial to understand the laws in your area. In the United States, for example, the 2018 Farm Bill legalized hemp-derived CBD products with less than 0.3% THC at the federal level. However, some states may have stricter regulations, so it's essential to research your local laws before making a purchase.
Consult with a Healthcare Professional
If you have specific health concerns or are taking other medications, it's wise to consult with a healthcare professional before starting CBD. They can offer personalized advice, ensuring that CBD won't interact negatively with your current treatment or medical conditions.
Experiment and Observe
Finally, once you've selected a CBD product, remember that it may take some time to find the ideal dosage and form that works best for you. Keep a journal to track your experiences and any changes in your symptoms or well-being. Patience and consistent use are key to reaping the full benefits of CBD.
In conclusion, choosing the right CBD product for your needs involves careful consideration of the form, desired effects, dosage, quality, legality, and consultation with a healthcare professional. With the right product, you can unlock the potential benefits of CBD and improve your overall well-being. As the CBD market continues to evolve, staying informed and making educated choices will help you achieve the results you desire.
