Nighttime in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam 🇻🇳
Honestly one of the things I miss most about Southeast Asia is the constant overstimulation. I get bored easily, so it was like the big cities there catered to my ADHD, hedonism and desire for nonstop excitement. In contrast, the suburbs of North America seem even more cold and dead to me now! I miss Saturday nights on Bui Vien walking street.

náhlá enviromentalní tíseň v oblacích nad Bukureští si uvědomíš kolik zkurvenejch letů denně kolik jejich pasažérů vytvoří jednou večeří bordelu, cos právě odevzdal letušce i ty

#3 The Mekong Delta
My assumption that the welcome and pre departure speech was the day before tour and not Day 1 of the tour was incorrect, which meant Thursday I introduced myself to another G Adventures group of people, who were in fact not my group - nice chat team. I then also had another day to spare prior to the groups arrival. I decided to book a trip to the Mekong Delta. It was a two hour bus ride and the guide proceeded to tell us a lot about how the world will end from a nuclear explosion and this will be considered ‘Doomsday’ many times, as believed in the Buddhism religion. Let’s be hoping this is not the case any time soon.. After a quick nap, we then took a larger boat across to unicorn island and saw a snake and tried some local fruits. I met a group of travelling English girls and two Germans guys, one already three beers in by 10am.. excellent up-keeping of the German culture! From unicorn island we then were able to have the row boat experience on the Mekong. Think the rainforest version of a gondola on the Venice canals.. it was really beautiful! We had our authentic hats on and the ladies rowed us through the canals to our lunch stop. Lunch was interesting. The fish was presented within the middle of the table, and there was chicken and spring roll options also. It was delicious. From here we caught a tuk tuk back to the initial boat to cruise back to the marina. The two hour bus ride home was made all the quicker, by the German, now ten beers in discussing his electrical engineering solutions and the German education system with me. Felt like I found a male version of Linda! Upon arriving back, I freshened up and met the tour group for the welcome drinks, and yes, I did have the correct night this time! We then all went for dinner nearby, my first authentic Vietnamese Pho dish was consumed - delicious! Though the fact that it is technically pronounced ‘Pha’ sits difficult with me because of my fave Torquay restaurant, Phoklore, forever nicknamed Pho.. Pha, just wouldn’t be right! After dinner, we walked down Bui Vien Walking Street for drinks - it was pumping!! It was like the Vegas Strip cross between Bourbon Street New Orleans! Music blasting, people haggling to serve you.. wild! I became good friends with Sonia, from the UK and we split a few rounds of cocktails with other members of the group - one containing tequila, but I’ll leave that for tomorrow’s blog. If you know, you know. Given we had booked for the Cu Chi Tunnels departing at 8.30am we went to the convenience store - naturally for some plain chips and then made our way back to the hostel by 1.30am.. 8.30am may roll around quickly..

I assure you, the feeling is mutual. I am an American Expat in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. (I dislike the word Expat). I have lived in Vietnam for 3 years, I am almost considered an expert at living abroad. As I live, work and explore, I want to take you around with me to show you what I saw in Vietnam and talk with you about my experiences living in Saigon and take you with me as I travel vlog around Vietnam in 2022. This is my Vietnam life, my Saigon life, my expat life. I always thought living abroad would be scary, but it's interesting and fulfilling. The food is amazing, the culture is fascinating and the people are friendly and welcoming. If you ever wanted to take the leap to travel and live abroad, Tourism in Vietnam is buzzing right now since Vietnam. I am often asked: are Vietnam borders open? Yes indeed, tourism reopened in 2022. Want to know what I saw in Vietnam and my life in Saigon. What I think about Vietnam and traveling abroad? What to do in Vietnam? What to do in Saigon? How to work, or work as a teacher in Asia? How to get a visa or what a digital nomads life could be like in Asia or Vietnam? What is it like to be an Expat in Vietnam and Asia? Or even how to be a travel vlogger (albeit a not yet successful one, here's hoping)? I am an expat, a Saigon Vlogger, a HCMC vlogger, a moto vlogger, a lifestyle vlogger, a digital nomad resource, a Saigon nightlife vlogger. I hope you will feel encouraged by my channel. I am not a Vietnam digital nomad in HCMC. But I know a few. Some keywords I like to include are:  bui vien street bui vien walking street saigon bui vien vietnam

🏨 Hotels in District 1 - Ho Chi Minh City
If you are keen on stunning window views, check out hotels in District 1, especially those located near Pham Ngu Lao Street, Ben Thanh Market, and Nguyen Hue Walking Street. These are among the most bustling areas in the city, and there are dozens of tourist attractions in the vicinity, such as Tay Bui Vien Street and the Saigon Central Post Office, which offer sightseeing convenience.
📍 La Felix Hotel Review
For starters or solo backpackers, I recommend you to stay at La Felix Hotel(3* rating). With a stary at Hotel, you'll be centrally located in Ho Chi Minh City, steps from Pham Ngu Lao Backpacker Area and within a 5-minute walk of Bui Vien Walking Street.
If you are on shoestring budget, it is a best choice for you. It provides free Wi-Fi and a buffet breakfast with reasonable price.

Ho Chi Minh City makes breakthrough in development of night economy
Ho Chi Minh City makes breakthrough in development of night economy
Tourism is an industry that Ho Chi Minh City focuses on recovering from the pandemic, in which night tourism, a great potential for economy, cannot be ignored. However, the spontaneous development and lack of emphasis are preventing this field from achieving the expected success. Every day, after 5 p.m., at Bui Vien walking street, Nguyen Hue walking street or Ben Thanh night market… begins to…

Top 3 Best Places For An Enjoyable  Nightlife In Vietnam
The indicator of nightlife in Vietnam is most evident in its “cities that never sleep”, which have long been an important part of any country's tourism.
Traveling to Vietnam, if you want to have the best Vietnamese nightlife experiences, it’s suggested to visit the urban areas, particularly Hanoi, Da Nang City and Ho Chi Minh City.
Tumblr media
1 - Hanoi - the best place to “immerse” in nightlife in Vietnam in the South
Hanoi is usually calm and quiet, but it changes when the night comes, packed with street food shops and interesting activities, especially at walking streets around Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi Old Quarter. Visiting these places, you will have the opportunity to try cheap but delicious street food like mixed rice papers, ice-cream … or the famous sidewalk fresh beer at Bia Hoi intersection.
2 - Ho Chi Minh City - the best place for nightlife in Vietnam
Tumblr media
Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) is glamorous no matter day or night, sparkling and full of exciting activities and attractions, from the luxurious bars and clubs, to the cheap and casual street shops. You can easily buy bingsu, smoothies, or sweet soups, almost anything you want, on the streets. Besides Nguyen Hue Walking street, Bui Vien Backpacker Street is also a place you should visit if you plan to try out the craft beer while chatting with friends.
3 - Visit Danang City for a coastal nightlife in Vietnam
Going from North to South, Central Vietnam also has outstanding nightlife, including Da Nang. Famous for its sparkling beaches and bridges (Dragon Bridge, Thuan Phuoc Bridge, etc.), this city also has various night markets with cheap food, and especially the Asia Park with the giant Sun Wheel.
We hope you can use the above information to have the best nightlife in Vietnam and would like to suggest that you should keep an eye on your assets, stay away from using drugs and alcohol for brilliant experiences.
