The Setessan hunters were taken aback by the sight of Nylea appearing before them. At once the group laid down their weapons and bowed before their god.
“God of the hunt, what do you need of us, vital enough to grant us an audience in person?”
The god held out her free hand with some exasperation. “Well, firstly, you may relax. I have no pressing matters to force onto you…today.”
“Oh? Then what do you ask of us?”
“I know that you all hunt. I do as well, but having been preoccupied with the Klothys situation for some time now, I have not recently had the chance to partake. Since you all worship me, I was merely curious if you would…allow me to join you?”
The huntresses angled their slack-jawed expressions up at their god, first in shock, then in immense gratitude. “Of course!” one chimed. “We would be honored to follow you for this hunt.”
Nylea raised her bow and beamed at her subjects. “Then let us make haste.”
Nylea gleefully took aim at yet another beast on the horizon. Meanwhile, the now-annoyed Setessans murmured amongst themselves.
“Psst! I think she’s looking the other way, now!”
“Looks like it. Yes, I think she’s aiming at the last boar in twenty miles.”
“Last chance for us to depart unseen. Shall we?”
“Yes. Let us go find us something to shoot, before Nylea steals that target from us, too.”
Nodding to each other, the hunters snuck away into the forest as Nylea felled her mark with a perfect shot through the heart.
“Ah, I had almost forgotten how liberating it is to…Hello?” The god spun around in search of her hunting companions but saw no one. “I suppose they went to find me another quarry. How thoughtful!”
Tumblr media
[Nylea likes to hunt, but her eyes are supernaturally sharp and she always kills what she hits, and she shoots rather quickly; so the people of Setessa are rather hesitant to accommodate her on their hunts.]

Local archery legend and pompous bitch, Vanidicus is still just one personality among the raucous ranks of the satyrs of Skola Vale. Although he’s never one to turn down a challenge or a dare, even more so after a few drinks, surprisingly few other satyrs have been wounded by his antics.
With his skill with a bow and arrow, one would expect him to be a pupil of the goddess Nylea, goddess of the hunt. However, as an impulsive prankster and even more impulsive liar, he gained the interest of Phenax, the god of deception, whose ancient grudge against Nylea has him pouring favor into Vanidicus. Favor the satyr doesn’t know what to do with, but will use to cause mischief all the same.
Vani is my new dnd character for a Theros campaign (that won’t be starting for a while haha)! Every time he greets someone, he gives them a different satyr nickname, claiming it’s what “everyone” calls him.
Still goofing around with the outfit design, but I think I’m finally settled on the colors!

Note
Why doesn't Nylea have Reach? They're a giant of a being with a bow and arrow. I thought that'd be one of the Reachious cards ever.
The monocolored Gods of Theros were cycled. Giving Nylea reach required giving a creature ability to each of the other four Gods and we didn’t have a full cycle of creature types we liked.

A documentation of every unique magic weapon in 5e
Tumblr media
(Artwork of Ephixis, Bow of Nylea from Mythic Odysseys of Theros)
I hate myself.
So awhile ago I asked what weapon type has the most unique Magic Weapons on Reddit and didn’t get much reply beyond “longsword lol.” (Probably because I asked the question at 3 in the morning.) While it did answer my question I’m more so interested in the specific number of unique magic weapons of each weapon type, if only to satisfy my massive nerdy desire for statistics.
So here’s a list of every unique magic weapon in D&D 5th Edition (as of the release of Mythic Odysseys of Theros, and before the release of Icewind Dale or any future books.)
Enchantments that can be applied to multiple (but not all) weapons will be listed under every weapon that can obtain the enchantment and marked in bold. (As there are several enchantments that can be applied to “any sword” or similar.) For the sake of completion there will be a “generic enchantments” list for enchantments that can be applied to any weapon or are too broad to be listed under every weapon. (Example: only one-handed weapons, only melee weapons, only ranged weapons, etc.)
All enchantments are listed in alphabetical order, as listed on D&D Beyond.

Summary: Kyrie’s character and personality are pretty set at this point, don’t hesitate to submit asks if you’re curious about her and her enigmatic past in Lothric (Dark Souls verse) and her uncertain future (FFXIV verse).
Contact: mostly here on Tumblr! I also use Discord for communication purposes, but most writing is done here and as joint co-op between authors. I’m not as experienced as RP’ing in game yet, but I would like to improve.
I work in the mornings and currently have school, so most things are a bit touch and go right now - but do contact me if you have an idea or would like to plot something together!
Hooks:
Exploration encounters & interactions: often found traveling the world, seeking out hidden ruins and studying their history
Supernatural interactions: a veritable magnet for the unusual or occult, Kyrie always seems to attract voidsent and studies them as well
Hiring opportunities: is willing to accompany individuals and groups as hired help, be it for combat or protection. The Morality challenge post is a good indicator of certain jobs she could do, but her willingness depends on her employer.

Sigarda Spellslinger
@sigardaa, @sigardas-herons-blog, @asksigarda thought you might enjoy this unique take on Selesnya from someone who’s an Izzet mage at heart.
Deck Tech under the cut, full deck list at Sigarda Spellslinger on Tappedout.
Hello and welcome to Experimental Frenzy. Let’s get right to it. This week’s deck tech is Sigarda, Heron’s Grace, AKA the bad one. I’d considered building her on and off over the years, but I’d already typecast her as a Human Tribal commander, and I was never sufficiently motivated to build her because of it. When I was browsing through someone’s trades trying to even up a trade for a prerelease foil Assassin’s Trophy and saw her in foil, I knew it was finally time. I’ve had Sigarda together for about six weeks, and in that time, she’s grown to be one of my favorite decks to play, win or lose. Before we get into the deck tech proper, let’s take a look at our fearless leader, and talk a bit about the direction I decided to take her.
It’s worth noting that I was and still am, deep in my “Quirky” deckbuilding phase. The past year and change had been an exciting journey that started with trying to make cool limited playable mechanics work in commander. From Bant Morphs (still together) to Meren Explore (untested), to Kolaghan Dash Tribal (since reformed into Squee, The Immortal), and Hallar, the Firefletcher (untested), I’d developed a strong fascination with off the wall  strategies in commander. Which brings us to the epiphany that made Sigarda an irresistible brew. What if we built around her activated ability instead of her static?
I’m a spellslinger at heart, which is why the Human Tribal angle never really scratched my brewer’s itch. But spellslinging put tons of card in the graveyard and came a lot more naturally to both my playstyle and the color pair than self-mill. Since a lot of good green and white instants and sorceries were removal, we leaned into that. Today’s deck tech will be broken down into Ramp, Card Draw, Spot Removal, Mass Removal, Token Makers, Recursion, and Synergy. So without further ado, I bring you the Selesnya Control list, Sigarda Slinger.
STATS
Budget; $375-400
Creatures: 6
Artifacts: 7
Sorceries: 15
Instants: 21
Enchantments: 8
Planeswalkers: 5
Lands: 37
RAMP/FIXING: 11/4
The most notable cards in the ramp and fixing category are MIrari’s Wake, for it’s mana doubling and anthem effects, Pir’s Whim, for it’s X for 1 and political capabilities, and Sylvan Reclamation, whose basic land cycling is easily forgotten. Krosan Verge and Myriad Landscape are inexpensive fetches that grab two lands for the price of one, while putting a card in the graveyard for token creation. The deck also runs Windswept Heath.
CARD DRAW/ADVANTAGE; 14/5
Notable cards in the card draw and advantage section include Mentor of the Meek and Tireless Tracker, for beings humans that enhance the benefits of ramp and token creation, Hualti, Radiant Champion and Nissa, Vital Force for generating emblems, and Abundance for it’s selection and quite frankly obnoxious interaction with Sylvan Library.
For those who don’t know, Sylvan Library lets you draw two additional cards in your draw step, on the condition that you either put two cards you’ve drawn this turn back on top of your library, or pay 4 life per card to keep it in your hand.
Abundance has a replacement effect that you can apply when you would draw a card, allowing you to name either land or nonland, reveal cards from the top of your library until you reveal a card of the chosen type, putting the rest on the bottom in any order. Bonus move, if you run out of lands in your deck and name land to replace a draw, the any order clause allows you to literally stack your deck, making any future draws exactly what you need.
Because Sylvan Library only requires you to put back or pay life specifically for cards you’ve drawn this turn, using Abundance’s replacement effect not only let’s you keep your extra “draws” free of charge, it helps push through to help you see new cards. It’s worth noting that you have to use Abundance’s replacement for every draw that turn, even those in your upkeep, since Sylvan Library references any card you’ve drawn that turn.
SPOT REMOVAL: 14
Unexpectedly Absent is probably my favorite of these removal spells, for it’s flexibility, tempo, and occasional “Gotcha!” factor, when you use it to put an important threat or engine on top of your opponent’s library in response to any spell or effect that will force them to shuffle on resolution. Beast Within is easily the most versatile, being able to destroy any permanent, even lands, at the cost of them getting a 3/3 beast token. Field of Ruin is notable as a Strip Mine effect that doesn’t leave you down a land. Aura Shards is repeatable, and adds extra spice to our board-in-a-box instant speed token makers, Oblation can serve as removal or a form of recursion, shuffling it’s target into it’s owners library and allowing the owner to draw two cards. Tormod’s Crypt is an absolute must, a staple in nearly every deck I own. Dramoka’s command and Wing Shards are the only spot removals that don’t always hit exactly hit what you want, but the versatility and storm respectively make up for it.
MASS REMOVAL: 6
This boardwipe suite is cultivated to leave SIgarda in play as often as possible, from Slaughter the Strong, which most notably requires the other creatures to be sacrificed, Divine Reckoning, which has flashback, Rout, which can be cast at instant speed, Tragic Arrogance, which has the added benefit of leaving you with the best of each of your nonland permanents, and each opponent with their worst. Most importantly, Tragic Arrogance doesn’t target. (Pro tip: If an opponent has a card that is multiple permanent types, usually artifact creature, but occasionally artifact enchantment, you can select it for both types, helping clear away an extra permanent.) Settle the Wreckage is a brutal Fog, affectionately nicknamed “Wrath to Exile”. And while Elspeth, Sun’s Champion doesn’t leave our commander in play when she boardwipes, her versatility and power make her worth it.
(CREATURE) TOKEN MAKERS: 9
Monastery Mentor is not only a human, and thus protected under our Commander’s protective wing, but it aided by the 56 noncreature spells in the deck on his quest to get friends and get #Swole. Tendershoot Dryad is an overperformer in any deck it’s ever in, generating a 1/1 Saproling token every single upkeep, and also giving Saprolings you control +2/+2 as long as you have the city’s blessing, Three of our planeswalkers can generate tokens, Elspeth generates three 1/1 soldiers, Gideon can make a 2/2 Knight Ally, but is generally best used as an overcosted anthem effect. Garruk can make a 3/3 beast, but usually dies to draw us cards equal to the greatest power among creatures we control. Our haymakers are the three instant speed X-spells, Secure the Wastes, which makes the most tokens per mana, March of the Multitudes, which has not only convoke, but makes lifelink tokens, and White Sun’s Zenith, which makes the biggest tokens of the three and also shuffles itself back into our deck.
RECURSION: 5
Because this deck seeks to use it’s graveyard a little differently than most, recursion, like graveyard hate, is a pillar of any EDH deck. This deck uses Regrowth, Mistviel Plains, Elixir of Immortality, Bow of Nylea, and occasionally Nissa, Vital Force. Elixir of Immortality, another staple of my lists, is an even better card than it usually is, since our commander often exiles the early game ramp cards and other less useful chaff for token fodder. Bow of Nylea also has the added utility of giving our dinky little 1/1s deathtouch on offense, helping them in combat.
SYNERGY: 4
While a lot of the cards previously mentioned have cross synergy and utility, this section is for cards that synergize the most with our commander and strategy, or are just cool but didn’t neatly fit into our other categories. Mirror Entity is not only a human (as well as every other creature type), but it’s activated ability plays well with large boards, allowing our team to become X/Xs for X mana. Primal Amulet is one of the best cards for spellslinger lists, transforming into Primal Wellspring, making every spell at least twice as good. Intangible Virtue and Divine Visitation add beef and relevant keywords to our tokens.
Closing Remarks
On the whole, Sigarda, Heron’s Grace offers us the unique ability to play an interactive, reactive, and instant speed game while still being able to make use of green’s often creature reliant card draw to great effect.  The deck is surprisingly resilient, and an absolute blast to play, shifting between control and aggro without missing a step.

Reki, the History of Kamigawa - As Casual as a Competitive Deck Can Get
Tumblr media
FULL DECKLIST
Hi there! My name is Bontu-The-Fabulous, or Mereth. I’ve been playing EDH for about 5 years now. Reki, by far, is not only my favorite deck, but by far my best.  It started when I first got into the game. Our school had an unblocked deckbuilder site, called tappedout, and while browsing it I found an early version of this deck. it was simply called Mono Green legends, and it had Reki at the helm.
Essentially, Reki was the first ever commander I wanted to build. However, it ended up being eight and a half tails, as Reki as a deck is actually a bit pricy for a 15 year old freshman.
Last year, however, I decided I finally had enough to start building, and around a year and half later, Reki is 99% complete, and it’s time to share why I love this deck so much, along with my list. I will remind you- This isn’t a cheap deck. I’ve never put more effort into a single MTG deck in my life, and this deck is my pride and joy. You can easily build a much cheaper version on a budget, and hile it won’t be as consistent, it worked for me for a while!
WHO IS REKI?
Tumblr media
Reki, the History of Kamigawa is a 1/2 Human Shaman legendary that draws you a card whenever you cast a legendary spell. On the surface, this ability seems alright, nothing too special- And that’s what I initially thought. Then, I tested the deck, and immediately understood what Reki was. Reki is not only one of the best draw engines in the entire game in my opinion, but the way you play him in a deck is so fun and different than other decks that it creates a unique, interesting deck. Think Azami, but for Legendary Green spells. Reki himeself becomes a card that makes sure you always have a full hand. When you cast a legendary, you draw a card. If it’s legendary, you cast it again. And again. He gets out of hand fast.
WHY NOT SISAY? This is the first question people ask me about this deck. Sisay is probably a better version of this deck, however, Reki is actually better and much diferent than you would think in a few different ways. Firstly, he costs less- This is important, as it means you get your engine up a full turn sooner. Secondly, Reki as a commander works differently- Sisay searches for Paradox engine and then wins. Reki? He draws his entire deck out in a turn or two. While Reki is searched out in Sisay, it takes an extra two turns- One to cast Sisay, and one to search for Reki. Reki, this time, is here sooner and the engine is harder to get rid of, as he can simply be recast. If he dies in Sisay? Too bad. Finally... I think he’s more fun. More variety, and the deck is much different- Mono green legends is a fun ass deck!
THE STRATEGY The strategy of this deck is quite fun. Your goal is to ramp and play big legendary spells every turn, normally at least two or three until the mana you are producing hits such a level that you can draw literally around 20 cards in a turn, and play every single one of them. Around 40% of the deck is legendary spells. 44 cards, to be precise, not including Reki. That means around half of the cards you play immediately replace themselves, and that’s including other sources of mono green draw in the deck.
WINCONS Now this is a fun part. Originally, there was only one win con in this deck, and that was get a big enough board to kinda jut murder everyone at the same time. While that is still a major win con, everything changed when the fire nation attacked.
Tumblr media
This card make Reki viable in competitive play, if only a little bit. This deck runs a LOT of mana rocks, and things that aren’t technically rocks that use this very well. Essentially, this LEGENDARY artifact gave Reki a fighting chance in competitive places. This card will be the easiest and quickest way to win, though not the funnest.
Tumblr media
This is the funnest. I own a FOIL ONE (It looks so pretty), and Helix Pinnacle is no joke. I spoke before about how much mana this deck produces, and I wans’t kidding- I’ve been able to get this card consitantly. I’ve been able to generate this much mana in a single turn. Without going infinite. A mix of Nykthos, mana doublers, and a very specific and powerful mana rock I will speak about soon. This card can snatch a game before anyone sees it coming. Only 100 mana.
Tumblr media
Why go infinite (Near) with Paradox engine, why go big and play a pinnacle, when you could just generate so many big cards in a turn and drop this baby to punch everyone at the same time? Akroma’s Memorial is a card that once it hits the board ends the game. In a time where you’re just playing cards and drawing them, this card ends the chain with a GG.
Tumblr media
The same effect as Akroma, however, this card just makes your board massive. not only that, but it’s a great mana sink.
THE LEGENDARY CREATURES I would love to sit here for the next 2 hours and write about every legendary in the deck. Maybe I will, one day, but there’s 44 legendary spells in this deck. I’ll list all of them, with the most important ones at the beginning. Each and every legendary in this deck has value, meaning, it’s not just a vanilla creature. Here we go! I’ll list the most important ones with text on why it’s busted.
Hope of Ghirapur Ghalta, Primal Hunger Hazoret’s Monument Hua Tuo, Honoed Physician Jolrael, Empress of Beasts Sachi, Daughter of Seshiro (8 mana on a four drop creature. Remember, Reki is a Shaman. One of the best legends in the deck because of this.) Yeva, Nature’s Herald Heroes’ Podium  Jugan, the Rising Star Hall of Triumph Oath of Nissa Rhonas’s Monument Rishkar, Peema Renegade Selvala, Heart of the Wilds (Strongest mana dork in the deck, can provide draw as well) Sword of the Animist Predator, Flagship Mox Opal (Literally 0 to draw a card and a mana rock. Hands down the best card in the deck due to the sheer... Holy fuck it’s a 98 card deck.) Oviya Pashiri, Sage Lifecrafter Planar Bridge Sakiko, Mother of Summer Nissa, Vital Force Hammer of Nazahn Nissa, Vastwood Seer Skyship Weatherlight Dosan the Falling Leaf (Play this first on your big turn and you win.) Bow of Nylea Skysovereign, Consul Flagship Polukranos, World Eater (Mini win con with enough mana.) Helvault Alhammarret’s Archive (This doubles your power. One of the best cards in the deck.) Akroma’s Memorial Growing Rites of Itlimoc Garruk Wildspeaker Omnath, Locus of Mana (Don’t have enough mana this turn? You will next turn, along with a dead player!) Garruk, Primal Hunter Paradox Engine Nylea, God of the Hunt Patron of the Orochi (Doubles your mana) Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger (ALSO doubles your mana) Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger (Oh) Kozilek, the Great Distortion (Oh no) Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre (Oh no...) Kozilek, Butcher of Truther (Please no more...) Emrakul, the Promised End (Dear god why) And that’s that. You’re probably either done skmming over the list and missing half of the cards, or you’re in shock of how much this deck was. Now then, I will remind you, I’m missing a few cards. I don’t ACTUALLY have a Mox Opal, as it’s 80, but I’m working on it. Not only that, but an Azusa, Lost but Seeking as well.  That list is preeetty intense. I encourage you to read over it again, because there are some scary things in that list.  God, what about the Non-Legendary Spells? Glad you asked! There’s a total of 21 spells that aren’t legendary, and all of them are either draw, remval, or ramp. Most are ramp. Let’s talk about the most important ones... Starting with, hands down, the best and most important card of the entire deck.
Tumblr media
This card is nucking futs. In a single game, I’ve hard this 3 drop artifact produce more than 5 mana by turn 5 by itself. Late game? Upwards of 10, 15, even 20. It’s too powerful. Think about it. Legendary permanent... Well, there’s Reki. Your planeswalkers. Your legendary artifacts, enchantments... 44% of yoru deck just became tap, add 1. Have fucking fun. So, basically, eery legendary card in your deck, is now: Tap add 1, when you cast this draw a card. And I’ll remind you... This doesn’t care about summoning sickness. Everything you cast adds a mana to your pool.
Tumblr media
Cloudstone is fantastic in this deck. In the legendary pool, there’s actually a lot of low cst cards that do things- This card essentially allows you to return them to hand to cast again to draw a card. Hope of Ghiraur is the best in the deck for this. Going Oviya Pashiri and Hope is utterly busted,as it becomes 1 to draw a card. You can, also, of course, recast an Ulamog or Kozilek.
Tumblr media
This card not only is a mana doubler, but it ALSO draws you cards. Reki just got even better.
Tumblr media
Wow, a card that protects Reki, AND increases your mana for a turn? NICE!
Tumblr media
Who needs things like Akroma’s Memorial when you got this baby?
What else? That’s pretty much it! I didn’t mention a lot of the random ramp or removal in this deck as it’s self explanatory. Go ahead and grab the tappedout link below to test this deck out for yourself, and see how wild it is! Once again, my name is Mereth, and this is my favorite commander of all time. I hope you enjoyed reading about this random commander.
Have a nice day!!

The Arrow and the Beast
The Iliad follows the sun’s champion and their journey across our world. It speaks of great battles, near death experiences and even greater stories. Yet, one of these stories is commonly forgotten. There are no great battles, no suspense and most don’t even know what happened next. This story of Iliad is, or rather was, called the slaying of the huntmaster.
Nylea was boasting to the other gods of her champion. A hunter whose ferocity knew no bounds, one who would never fall to a battle and got stronger with each one. Heliod overheard and found that his champion could easily best Nylea’s. The two made a deal: Whichever champion won the hunt would be gifted a weapon of their respective god. The two ran to their champions to bolster them. Heliod spoke of the best way to defeat Nylea’s, that being an arrow to the creature’s neck. Nylea merely looked at her champion and gave it a small helm.
“Although you need not my nyx to assist you, I offer you a bit more protection.” She whispered to the hunter as she returned to watch. The day broke and the sun’s champion ran to the Setessa forest. It did not take long to find the beast. The beast was barely the size of the champion’s chest, had a large white stripe across its back and was resting within a glade, yawning as the champion approached.
It tilted its head in confusion as the champion wasted no time drawing her bow. The arrow pierced the flesh of the beast just like how its screech pierced the surroundings. Not only did the screaming stop shortly after that, the beast was nowhere to be found but the outcome was clear.
Quite boring huh? Well that’s all the illiad recorded. The beast had a sequel to himself.
The beast, once he steadied himself and poked at the arrow, looked at his new surroundings. Craggy, uneven earth, bone-like dust spreading slowly in the distance, strange stones and beasts three times as large as he’s ever seen walking about. One looked at him and licked its lips before letting out a roar. He blinked and jumped towards the beast’s legs, gashing the tender flesh that kept it standing. Another roar, this time in pain, following by a large swipe that crushed a tree near the battle. He jumped from the leg, licking the blood from his snout and looking back at the beast. He stomped his paw several times as a strange magic flowed around him. The battles he fought flowed into his mind. Lions, bears, gryphons, wolves and beasts of varying strengths. The thought of lions became the focus as the magic stopped before coiling around his body. His paws no longer touched the ground, the arrow that still stung his body almost disintegrated from the influx of magic and his form became cloaked in the phantom form of a lion. The beast stared for a moment before trying to lash out at the new cloaked being. An unfathomable gurgle came from the growing waste behind them as the sound of teeth crushing bone came from lion’s fangs. The beast fell, he feasted and two figures came by.
“Oi! Meiyo! I want this badger! I will love ‘em and call ‘em Dodger!” The voice came from human on the shorter end with red hair and baggy clothing. Before the badger could react, he was already within her embrace, being, what we would call, being hugged. After a painful day of being shot and fighting for his life moments later, it was strangely comforting.

Topi’s Daily Card #1034: Nacatl War-Pride
This six mana 3/3 creature is probably one of my most favorite cards. It can easily cause a huge blowout, and with the right cards can be devastating. When it attacks you get another copy tapped and attacking for each creature the defending player controls. Tapped, untapped, doesn’t matter. And each one has to be blocked by exactly one creature. No double blocking, no choosing not to block. The War-Pride goes all in, every time. Keep in mind that those tokens don’t have to attack the same player, you can veer the tokens to attack someone else. You can do tons of things to make this card nuts. You can cast Natural Affinity to make the pride attack for each land they control, forcing them to block with 2/2 lands in a pseudo Armageddon or tap their lands and take three damage for each one they can’t block anymore. You can use Bow of Nylea to give them all deathtouch. You can just globally pump them to just bash through your opponents creatures. Nacatl War-Pride is a card that shouldn’t be underestimated, despite its smaller stature for six mana.
