What was Jack’s reaction to finding out about the triplets and you? Will there be a chapter about this?

Sorry this is so late, anon! It's been a hectic few months for the three of us and we haven't been super active here. Thank you for sending in this ask and being patient with our response.

I'm not sure if there will be a full chapter about this down the road-- nothing is impossible but as of right now, we don't have any plans for such a chapter. However, I can give you a brief rundown of how Jack and the boys came to accept this arrangement.

Jack definitely wasn't happy about it. I imagine that he gave the boys an earful; just really reamed them out. He probably even made a few comments about how he didn't care how much bigger the boys are than him now-- they're still not too big for his belt. But he also raised three strong-willed sons who don't back down, so after he calmed down from the initial shock of it, I think Kylo would have been able to talk some reason into Jack.

The boys point out how hypocritical it is for Jack to insist that we don't see anyone other than him, especially considering that he is still married to Linda. They would also make a strong argument about how we deserved to be able to date and have romantic experiences with other partners as well. That since there is clearly some connection and attraction between us, we may as well be able to date the boys. They would be able to keep an eye out for us and take care of us when Jack couldn't be around to do so. We would be able to go public with the boys and wouldn't have to hide our relationships anymore because they would be there to shield us from any blowback while Jack sorts out his own marriage.

Fact or Fiction? Which Ohio train disaster are we talking about?

What is perhaps creepier than a wave of thick, black, toxic clouds being released over your neighbourhood is the fact that this was an occurrence you would only expect to see in the movies. Those who saw the 2022 Netflix movie ‘White Noise’ are pointing out the eerie similarities between the film and the recent train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio.

The recent accident saw approximately 38 of the 212 freight cars derailed, leaving behind a fiery wreckage. Around 20 of the 212 freight cars had been transporting ‘hazardous materials’, including “flammables, combustibles, or environmental risks.”

Though nobody was killed following the accident, the smoke from the toxic wreck found its way into a neighbouring community leading to a concerning number of reports of health issues from residents, ranging from nausea and rashes to breathing difficulties.

Noah Baumbach’s ‘White Noise’ is a movie that sees the line between fact and fiction start to blur.

Based on a novel by Don DeLillo published in 1985, the 2022 Netflix movie shares ominous similarities with the recent train wreck. In the flick’s second act (appropriately named “The Airborne Toxic Event” in the book), a train accident sends toxic chemicals into the sky, causing a mass evacuation of the town.

With the movie being coincidently shot in Northeast Ohio, several East Palestine residents worked as extras in the movie, including Ben Ratner and his family. Ratner told CNN that he tried to rewatch the movie he cameoed in a couple of weeks after the incident, however he couldn’t finish it as “All of a sudden, it hit too close to home”.

Adam Driver, who stars as Professor Jack Gladney in the movie, told the Hollywood Reporter that “It’s a very eerie, bizarre coincidence that we were just there making this movie… It’s a terrifying thing that happened and is happening, and to oddly have some distant connection with it is strange."

Like the movie, the toxic fumes from the wreckage forced many to evacuate their homes. I guess this disaster is an example of how occasionally, life can imitate art in grim ways.

Okay, here's my list of fluffy headcanons:

Jack

This man is a conversationalist. And one of his favorite things is to have us seated on his lap whilst he sits in his favorite armchair and listens to us tell him all about our day. He loves to hear us talk, loves to have a conversation about anything and everything with us even if it's a topic he knows nothing about.

He doesn't tell us this, but he is constantly checking in when we're not with him: using the Find My app to make sure we're okay when he hasn't heard from us in a while which is rare, checking in with the boys to make sure they're taking care of us when he can't. Jack's always looking out for us even in the moments we're unaware.

Kylo

Kylo shows a lot of his love through reassurance and praise. He's constantly telling us how proud of us he is and that even on the days we're really struggling with something, whatever that something may be, he lets us know that he recognizes the effort and appreciates it immensely.

He's also a fan of small touches. He considers them to be oddly more intimate, almost like an unspoken language where he can convey so much with something so small. It's a hand on our back at a function to let us know he's checking in and making sure we're okay, a hand on our thigh under a table to claim his stake on us without uttering a word, or a lingering kiss on our forehead to let us know he loves us.

Ben

We know Ben is heavy on physical touch and that's no exception when it comes to showing his love for us. This man is constantly straddling the line between fluff and feral, so he's constantly grabbing our ass, pawing at our thighs, putting his lips anywhere and everywhere. We know all the boys love our body, but Ben really is a worshipper and he's not shy to show us and reinforce that we're beautiful, especially on the days we struggle with body image.

Ben is probably the most outwardly romantic of all the guys, so he does a lot of grand gestures. That's just how Ben is: the bigger, the better in his eyes. There are a lot of surprises where Ben is involved; surprise dates, surprise day trips, surprise stealing us away from his brothers and pissing them off in the process. You name it, he's doing it. We are never short of love when Ben's around.

Matt

You'd think Kylo would be the schedule-oriented one when it comes to us, and sometimes that does ring true, but Matt is always ensuring we're on top of the day's plans. Pills? Vitamins? Whatever we're taking, he's got them lined up and ready along with a glass of water for us when we wake.

I know Matt really comes off as stand-offish to most when it comes to romance, but that's just because he has his own brand of contact. His grabs tend to be a little more possessive, of course: a hand gripping the back of our neck, our waist, our ass or our thigh. But that's just Matt, he's rough around the edges, but at the heart of it all, everything he does is with love.

Matt's a big educator like Jack when it comes to subjects he's passionate about. He doesn't share much with a lot of people, though, but he does share with us. He loves to teach us about botany, about anything STEM even if we aren't fully grasping the subject at hand. Quality time is a big thing with Matt and stealing us away to have alone time with us is one of the ways he can really open up and be himself.

Hello! Thank you for stopping by. Two years ago I established The Daveys (they may have been The Davies back then, I don’t know), an end-of-year fake movie awards body, just because I got bored one day and was like hey, doing something like that might be fun. Last year I switched to a non-competitive format because I wasn’t really feeling it, but this year I said you know what, let’s get gifting again, and so here we are.

As always there are films that I didn’t get around to seeing, mostly due to availability, and as such they don’t feature here but possibly would’ve had I been able to see them. Likewise, there are many films that almost made their way on here but ultimately didn’t. The point is - these are all silly, really. Don’t take this seriously.

This year also sees the introduction of a special celebratory award, the Davey Award for “Wow I hadn’t seen you on screen for a while and seeing you again made me feel kind of emotional.” This year’s inaugural recipients are:
