I was born in April 14, 2006 and my mother named me Maria Michelle Mae Mondares.

When I was a month old, I got sick and my whole skin turns to red. My mother was just crying while holding me because she couldn’t afford to bring me in the hospital due to lack of money. When my grandfather and grandmother arrived at home they saw my mother crying while holding me, they ask what happened and my mother said that I am sick. They look at me with pity in their eyes and they rushed me to the hospital. The doctor said that, thankfully that I was rushed in hospital or else I would die that time because my body wont hold it. I was so thankful back then because through the years I am still alive and thats because god is good. Later on, at my age of 5 to 7 I really love to play sisira ang bulalak-bubukas ang bubulak it is commonly known in philippine as children play. I used to wear colorful dress when I was a kid and I really like to wear high heels because it makes me feel like an adult. I love playing outside of our house in mandaue city and I have a lot of friends in mandaue city, named deo, grace, maxine, love, jessa, and many more. My favorite food back then was fried chicken and I really love to dip it in the ketchup. One day when my grandmonther sell an ice candy I thought that it was for free because im just a kid back then, I called many kids around our neighborhood and gave it to them one by one. I was scolded and I cried because I was clueless and I just want to have many friends back then, but if I think of it right now its kinda funny. One day my father died due to heart attack and I cried so hard because I couldn’t afford to accept right away and in 2017 we moved to lapu-lapu city, I met new people and new friends. In 2018, I started online business on facebook. I sell clothes online and I have many customers and I earned a lot of money around 7,000pesos and I used that money for my school supplies and other personal stuff. In 2019 I graduated in junior high and in 2022 a typhoon occurred again and it hits very hard in Lapu- Lapu city. The typhone called “bagyong odette” that time I cried for mercy because the typhoon that we didnt expect that the typhoon will be so strong. All humanities in Lapu-Lapu city was affected and we lost electricity, some of people lost homes. Every night we used candles for light and a diy fan, I used to go out at night and just staring at the moon because if the night came the road is dark. We suffered at least 2-3months because of “Bagyong odette” we used to go in a lanueva or unitop to use their generator to charge our phones and flashlights. That time it is hard to use cellphones because there is no signal and there’s no electricity, so what I did I read books, paint and play with my sister and cousins. The typhoon occurred when christmas is coming, during christmas all people didnt celebrate I didnt see fireworks. I realized that in december 25, 2022, 98% of people was sad because they lost homes and cant eat properly. After 2-3 months, the electricity came back and we we’re so happy. We start to get back on our feet and start cleaning in our house and I helped my grandmother to clean our house. I learned many lessons when bagyong odette occured because if bagyong odette didn’t occurred we will always focus on our cellphone and we cannot notice what is in our environment, we will not learn how to have a quality time with our families. Bagyong odette thought me that having quality time with your family is the best part of our lives. Right now im currently studying in Asian Learning center, I joined a choir in the school called “glee club” and I practiced singing and playing piano but sadly I quit in the choir because of some reason. But through that I met my new bandmates but we dont have band name for now, I am happy with them and I enjoy every moment if were together. In 2024 I joined a singing contest in our school called “ALCI Global Idol”, I won 1st placer. Also I met a boy, he is so handsome and smarter than me. He asked me if its okay to court me and I said yes! I felt butterflies in my stomach that I haven't experienced in years. Right now Im living the best.

My Learnings in Entrepreneurial Mind

As I listened to the discussion with our beautiful instructor, Ms. Rhea Mae Blanca, I learned some key learnings about the entrepreneurial mind. One of these learnings is opportunity recognition. We all know that entrepreneurs are always on the lookout for the new opportunities. They are able to identify problems and gaps in the market and come up with innovative solutions to address them. Another is risk-taking - entrepreneurs are willing to take risks. They understand that there is no reward without risk and are willing to take the necessary steps to lessen or reduce those risks. Next one is resilience - entrepreneurship can be challenging, and setbacks are unavoidable. Entrepreneurs need to be resilient and able to bounce back from failure. The next one is my favorite, creativity - entrepreneurs are often creative individuals who think outside the box. They are able to come up with unique solutions to problems and see opportunities where others do not. Another one is also my favorite, which is passion - entrepreneurs are passionate about what they do. They are driven by a desire to create something new, make differenec, or solve a problem. And there is a lot more that I learned from this subject.

On the last few weeks, since our department (Mechanical Engineering) had a Power Plant Visit tour in Cagayan de Oro and Cebu, I also had some learnings that connects to the subject Entrepreneurial Mind. There is a company that makes culinary tools such as pan, wok, cast-iron cookware, stockpot, griddle, sizzling plate, and others that were made from metals, specifically iron or aluminum. I liked it because the owner of the company told a story about how they built it in the first place and how they managed to stay stronger despite all the challenges (especially bagyong Odette).

Overall, studying the entrepreneurial mind can provide valuable insights and skills for anyone interested in pursuing a career in entrepreneurship or starting their own business.

The death toll from Typhoon Odette (Rai) in Bohol has climbed to 63, Governor Arthur Yap said on Sunday, December 19, as he appealed for hundreds of generators to help the province deal with a critical shortage in drinking water.

The Bohol governor also asked the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) to open its facilities to help local government units (LGUs) get access to power and communications.

Scientists are trying to warn us that we only have 3-5 years left and the government just ignored them and now some of the scientists got arrested by the cops because of their protest. The scientists who protested to warn us risked not only their jobs but their lives also for us to just hear them out after being ignored for years

I also wanted to mention here in the Phillipines, we're experiencing complicated weather's, typhoons, landslides, and floods from other places.

I know some of you are already aware of what's happening. On how some of us is currently in panic because of sudden news from scientists.

Help us to spread word and awareness. If you can only do a small thing. Don't worry it's such a big help already since some of us is waking up on reality already.

A Nasa scientist and Climate Activist who’s recently got arrested alongside with other activist by the cops because of their PEACEFUL PROTEST. He said that we only got less than 3 years to do about climate change before we will face catastrophic Warning and the government didn’t do something.

They want to end the use of fossil fuels and other bad sources of energy that rises the temperature of our environment.

We are clearly facing the consequences slowly like how number cyclones recently increased and caused a major impact to oyr county like Typhoon Odette and Bagyong Agaton. Lessen the use of fossil fuels and find our renewable source if possible.

Donate and Support Non-governmental organization activities that help fight Globan Warming.

gusto ko alalahanin 'yung saya na naramdaman ko noong minsang kumain kaming pamilya sa binondo at biglang lumabas ang balitang tatakbo si vp leni sa pagkapresidente. nagpalit kami agad ni syoti ng cover photo sa facebook bilang suporta. bagong bago, may pagka-retro pop art na hipster, tapos kulay pink. doon din nagsimula yung branding niya na kulay pink.

ayokong makalimutan yung gabing nagvolunteer ako sa relief ops sa leni-kiko hq volunteer center para sa mga nasalanta ng bagyong odette. may mga bagong tao akong nakilala, mga bagong finollow at followers sa ig, haha. at kahit huling gabi na ng volunteer work yun, mainit pa rin yung pagtanggap na nakuha ko. hindi ko naramdamang naiiba ako, kasi lahat iisa ang hangad. sa registration ako naassign, kaya naramdaman ko kung gaano kasarap makipagusap sa mga volunteers na kakarating pa lang at volunteers na pauwi na. yung kislap sa mata nila kapag nag-abot na ako ng pauwing tarpaulin, pamaypay, komiks, at stickers. alala ko, meron pa ngang bagong dating na volunteer no'n na hinoldap sa may tulay sa katipunan, malapit lang sa hq, pero umuwi siyang doble yung perang ninakaw sa kanya kasi nag-ambagan yung ibang volunteers para mabawi yung nawala sa kanya. at lalong hinding hindi ko malilimutan yung palakpakan nung naisalansan na sa loob ng truck ang pinakahuling truck ng mga relief goods na babiyahe papuntang siargao. napakasarap sa tenga.

They want to end the use of fossil fuels and other bad sources of energy that rises he temperature of our environment.

We are clearly facing the consequences slowly like how numbers cyclones recently increased and caused a major impact to our country like Typhoon Odette and Bagyong Agaton. Global Warming is also a major cause of natural disasters such as Cyclones and recent study shows that the global temperature increased for the last few decades.

Sadly, most people don't even care and government doesn't listen and industrial companies are still continually destroying our planet. It's is so sad people like Peter Kalmus and Greta Thunberg are risking their lives just for the good of our lives, for our planet, and also for the future generation.

HERE'S WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP OUR CLIMATE:

•Lessen the use of fossil fuels and find renewable source if possible.

•Avoid burning garbages, this is one of our normalized habit but it needs to be stopped especially if most of the trash are made with plastic which is a made of carbon.

•Save energy and supplies.

• Donate and support Non-governmental Organizations activities that help fight Global warming.

People like Peter and other activist gives us hope for humanity even though they risked their lives for our future and to the children of this generation. They show how selfish and unconcerned the government and the industry just for the sake of economy and money.

Let's fight those problems together. Show love to our Mother Earth

Land Trip!

We used to spend our holidays at the comfort of our home but last year we have our own twist-and-turn travel story.

That year, our family chose to spend the holidays at the camp base of my brother in Clark Airbase, Pampanga. But before we had our Merry Christmas to a Happy New Year , we encountered unforgettable memories along the way.

Although we already planned to travel up north through land travel along time ago, but we didn’t expect that it will be happening this early. We immediately prepared our mind, energy, baggages, google maps (since it was our first time to travel by land and we have any idea of the roads we will be taking), along with our finances for a short period of time (two days) to have the most memorable memory of land travel. As I prepared for it, I had a strange feeling of excitement and nerves at the same time. I had all sorts of thoughts and doubts.

We quickly travelled the Davao-Surigao route up north last December 21,2021, about 4 days before Christmas and almost 1 week after the devastation of Bagyong Odette. We are very optimistic to encounter scenic and amazing views along the way but it was another way around. We have seen the anger of nature as we’ve witnessed the devastating situation of the people and area after this typhoon. Through these scenes, it was disheartening to go on with the travel because we also learned that time that the port are damaged. We have a quiet moment on the car as we tried to think a hundred times to continue not knowing what will be the situation in the next phase of our travel. But we have high hopes and positive spirit because our aim now is to keep on going.

The situation in the port was more discouraging. You will definitely realized how hard to travel by land and sea during typhoons. It was quite eye-opening experience to meet different behaviors of the locals during this tragedy. Some are taking advantage of the situation instead of helping the stranded travelers. Honestly, I had conversations everywhere just to have some ideas and options how to cross the islands. Determined, we waited for almost half day for rescue boats and ships to let travelers travel across the islands of Mindanao to Visayas.

There were only couple of ships available that are able to cargo our car, we tried our luck and to our surprise before the day ends we are already sailing through the Pacific.

Again, it was a tough journey as we set sail to Visayas since it was also devastated by the typhoon Odette. It was hard to ignore all the damages and heart breaking scenes in our way; landslides, wrecked homes, bald mountains, cracked roads, and of course the grieving community of some parts in Leyte. We just let our hearts pray in silence as we witnessed all of these.

As we arrived in Tacloban, we take a day of rest in a hotel since we are physically and mentally drained. We recharged our bodies and minds as we take again the roads up north the next day. To ease our worries, we took a quick posed in the famous bridge of San Juanico that connects the islands of Leyte and Samar. With positive minds, we pray to have a safe and happy travel as we take the roads of Samar. Thankfully, we reached the highest part of the island at noon and we managed to secure another ferry ride across the other side of the country- the Islands of Luzon.

Nature and sunny days were a blessing when it was so cold and dark in Visayas. This time we are able to enjoy the fresh air, green mountains, and pristine beaches of the provinces of Luzon. Our eyes are full since we already viewed and take a quick stop over in the majestic Mount Mayon where I just met in textbooks and social media. I’ve enjoyed the different delicacies offered by the locals as we stopped by for our meals like the legit Bicol express, Laing, Tinapa (fish cooked in banana leaves) and Pili nuts. The coastal roads are amazing and we’ve met people who have different dialects that we approached for directions. We travelled the south Luzon to Pampanga for almost 24hours without sleepovers but rather have a quick stop overs for rest and meals.

At exactly 6pm on the 24th of December, we arrived safely in Pampanga. My brother was very glad to see us safe and happy on our trip. We celebrated the Noche Buena with thankful hearts despite all that we have encountered along the way. We included the affected people in our prayers to ease their pain and worries.

We spent the next days of our vacation exploring the province of Pampanga. We joined the excitement of holiday rush and spending the night in the festive grounds of Clark Airbase. We also visit all the famous landmark in Pampanga, Manila and the neighboring cities and wowed by the busy streets and tallest buildings.

This trip- a two weeks escape to North side of the Philippines- was the first trip of our family. For me travel is always about the family; always thinking of who would enjoy what. It’s about family time and bonding. It’s about creating memories and travel stories together. It’s all so wonderful.

This was during bagyong Odette while we are staying in Bohol Tropics. The bagyong Odette hits bohol Dec 16, 2021 and was having an outage all over Bohol that lasted for 44 days! We stayed in Bohol Tropics for 16 days. This was that time where we choose comfort and had sooo many consequences after that 🤣 Pero ok na yun naka move on na ako and taught me so many lessons in life especially sa budgetting part. Masakit pero i have to go through it for me to be able to realize kung ano yung mali sa mga desisyon ko na yun. So anyway, for some of the Boholanos, they have a dark Christmas since walang ilaw pero for us we are thankful coz nasa Tropics kame that time. One of my close friends since Elementary is umuwi galing CDO to spend Christmas with her dad. Lahat sila umuwi so we had the chance to spend time talaga. It's fun kase our kids are comfortable to each other so they spend the whole day sa pool. So ang dami kong kwento pero just wanna save this tiktok dance kase we are dancing with our kids and as we grow old, these are some moments na really priceless for us ♥️
