Jeremy and Laura give incredible performances, as does Joshua Henry and too many others to name. Jason Robert Brown gives a speech after the curtain call. Truly an epic night of theatre. This is a very near perfect video with no obstruction and only slight washout in wide shots. There are two quick dropouts in the first few minutes, but the concert is otherwise fully captured. A Pride and Prejudice - TheatreWorks Silicon Valley - December, 2019 (Pro-Shot's master) FORMAT:  MP4 (HD) CAST: Mary Mattison (Elizabeth Bennet), Sharon Rietkerk (Jane Bennet), Justin Mortelliti (Fitzwilliam Darcy), Travis Leland (Charles Bingley), Monique Hafen (Caroline Bingley) NOTES: Streamed by TheaterMania on April 10, 2020. FORMAT: video CAST: Luke Brady (Moses), Liam Tamne (Ramses), Alexia Khadime (Miriam), Christine Allado (Tzipporah), Gary Wilmot (Jethro), Silas Wyatt-Barke (Aaron), Joe Dixon (Seti), Debbie Kurup (Queen Tuya), Tanisha Spring (Nefertari), Adam Pearce (Hotep), Mercedesz Csampai (Yocheved), Iman Pabani (Young Miriam/Leah/Young Hebrew Girl), Leo Babet (Young Aaron/Young Egyptian Boy/Young Midian Boy) NOTES: This video is never to be publicly shared on YouTube, tumblr, Facebook, Stage Dork etc. The Producers - Hollywood Bowl - July 28, 2012 FORMAT:  VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Richard Kind (Max Bialystock), Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Leo Bloom), Gary Beach (Roger De Bris), Roger Bart (Carmen Ghia), Rebecca Romijn (Ulla), Dane Cook (Franz Liebkind) NOTES: Excellent capture of this year's Hollywood Bowl production. Action is followed well with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The first minute of the show is missing, and the next few minutes are a bit shaky with scattered blackouts, but after "The King of Broadway" it settles and the majority of the show is captured nicely. SPOILER: Before "Keep It Gay" started, when Roger says "What's the word?" someone from the audience shouted out "Gay" which sent the cast into a laughing fit. The Prom - Broadway - August 11, 2019 (Matinee) (Closing Night) (StarCuffedJeans's master) FORMAT:  MP4 (HD) CAST: Caitlin Kinnunen (Emma Nolan), Brooks Ashmanskas (Barry Glickman), Isabelle McCalla (Alyssa Greene), Beth Leavel (Dee Dee Allen), Christopher Sieber (Trent Oliver), Michael Genet (Mr. Hawkins), Angie Schworer (Angie), Courtenay Collins (Mrs. Greene), Josh Lamon (Sheldon Saperstein), Becca Lee (Kaylee), Kalyn West (Shelby), Teddy Toye (Nick), Josh Franklin (Motel Clerk), Drew Redington (Kevin), Courtney Balan (Olivia Keating), Anthony Norman, Brittany Conigatti, Fernell Hogan, Jack Sippel, Jerusha Cavazos, Joomin Hwang, Mary Antonini, Shelby Finnie, Sheldon Henry, Vasthy Mompoint NOTES: Gift upon request. Unobstructed closing performance with the full cast! Starts in the beginning of "Changing Lives" and is a little washed out. For whatever reason my camera was mad at me and didn't want to focus in the beginning of Act One. It warmed up and got better, and to be honest I opted for wider shots because everyone was doing crazy things and I didn't want to miss anything. I stood up for all but one of the standing ovations and when I did so I have no idea what my camera did or what it was looking at. I would say sorry but it wouldn't be true. I'm just so damn proud of all of these people. Please do not post this bootleg publicly! The Prom - Broadway - February, 2019 (NYCG8R's master) FORMAT:  VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Caitlin Kinnunen (Emma Nolan), Josh Lamon (u/s Barry Glickman), Isabelle McCalla (Alyssa Greene), Beth Leavel (Dee Dee Allen), Christopher Sieber (Trent Oliver), Michael Genet (Mr. Hawkins), Angie Schworer (Angie), Courtenay Collins (Mrs. Greene), David Josefsberg (u/s Sheldon Saperstein) NOTES: Excellent capture! Josh mistakenly mentions Alyssa in 'Tonight Belongs to You' despite not being meant to know her name at this point. The last three minutes of the show are from a different performance, during previews, with Brooks Ashmanskas as Barry and Josh Lamon as Sheldon, but it is a full video in total. The Prom - Broadway - March, 2019 (StarCuffedJeans's master) FORMAT:  MP4 (HD) CAST: Gabi Campo (u/s Emma Nolan), Brooks Ashmanskas (Barry Glickman), Isabelle McCalla (Alyssa Greene), Beth Leavel (Dee Dee Allen), Christopher Sieber (Trent Oliver), Michael Potts (Mr. Hawkins), Angie Schworer (Angie), Courtenay Collins (Mrs. Greene), David Josefsberg (u/s Sheldon Saperstein), Becca Lee (Kaylee), Susie Carroll (s/w Shelby), Teddy Toye (Nick), Drew Redington (Kevin), Courtney Balan (Olivia Keating) NOTES: This video starts at "Dance With You" and is super focused on Gabi. There are less heads in this than most of my videos and a railing that gets in the way occasionally, but they were mostly worked around. The cast as a whole is doing top notch work, though at times you can tell that Brooks and Izzy are just back from being sick. Overall this is a really great video of one of my favorite shows, and I'm really proud of myself for containing my crying at the end of act one. The Prom - Pre-Broadway / Atlanta - September 17, 2016 (SunsetBlvd79's master) FORMAT:  VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Caitlin Kinnunen (Emma Nolan), Brooks Ashmanskas (Barry Glickman), Anna Grace Barlow (Alyssa Greene), Beth Leavel (Dee Dee Allen), Christopher Sieber (Trent Oliver), Martin Moran (Mr. Hawkins), Angie Schworer (Angie), Josh Lamon (Sheldon Saperstein) NOTES: Beautiful HD capture of the Pre-Broadway tryout. A really touching and funny new musical, led by a hilarious cast of Broadway veterans. A perfect mix of comedy and drama.

The Final Chapter
By Luci
July 9, 2015: The First Day of Comic Con
Exactly 4 months since Steve disappeared in the Real Life AU
Exactly 1 month since Steve had died
Steve felt wrong.
He remembered everything. Every portal, every almost-death, every moment with his soulmate, Jimmy. And now, here he was, in a car on his way to Comic Con with the seven people who had been there that day, all of them claiming to have no memory of Captain Kirk kidnapping Steve during dance class.
Steve had asked them all together and individually about that day. Kara said all she remembered was Steve prepping for a left turn then going right. Ashley said Steve left in the middle of class then stopped showing up. Paris said she forgot who he was until he appeared a few months ago in their basement, crying and claiming he had died.
To be honest, Steve wasn’t sure why they kept him around after that. Gacé said the same.
It had been a month since that incident. It also happened to be the day of the Rhythm Fusion’s dance show. When all the RFs - Ashley, Paris, Gacé, Kara, Matt, Kaia, and Colleen - had come back to the studio after the show, they found Steve sobbing in the basement. They were all dumbfounded, and Mozy had called the cops. In the end, Officers McCain and Malfoy chalked it up to Steve had been kidnapped and escaped and now he was home.
Steve went along with it, not knowing what else to do.
He had tried to explain what he had been through to the officers, but they told him he was in shock. Steve knew he was in shock, but he also knew what had happened to him.
He traveled through alternate universes with Jimmy Kirk, his one true love, because of a curse placed on them by the wizard Sarumon.
Now, Steve sat, numb as always, in the passenger’s seat of a van, reluctantly going to Comic Con with the RFs. Gacé was driving and Paris, dressed as Honey Lemon from Big Hero 6, was reading out loud from an article that was sweeping the internet.
“Love is in the air this July as a fourth surprise celebrity couple announces their engagement.
“It started on June 9th, when Daniel Radcliffe, best known for playing Harry Potter, and Supernatural’s Osric Chau announced their engagement.
“‘We had been dating for years in secret,’ said Radcliffe. ‘Something just felt right, and we wanted the world to know about our love.’
“They were the first of many. Next, Jensen Ackles and Misha Collins, also from Supernatural, announced they were together. Their costar, Jared Padalecki, got engaged to his long-time girlfriend Ezri Guide, shortly after that.
“‘I am so happy for Ezri and Jared,’ said Ackles on Twitter. ‘I can’t think of a better couple.’
“Most recently, Felicia Day, known for playing Charlie on Supernatural, and Liv Tyler, Arwen from the Lord of the Rings, announced their engagement.
“With all these happy couples making their way into the spotlight, we at Sixteen Magazine want to know: who’s next?”
“Wow,” said Kara, crammed in the back with Colleen, Kaia, and Matt. “I feel like this is out of a fanfiction!”
“But it’s all true!” said Paris. “It’s hard, almost impossible to believe, and yet…”
Steve stopped listening. He knew it was all true, but he was closer to the situation than everyone would believe. He was happy the friends he made in the AUs were happy, but nothing felt the same. He couldn’t even be sure they were the same people, but this was too close to be a coincidence.
The last place Steve wanted to go was Comic Con, where the actors who portrayed some of his closest friends would be. It would be too painful. Yet he knew the RFs would drag him to see the Supernatural cast, just like they dragged him out of his room to go to the event in the first place. This was 2015, afterall, and the RFs were still big fans of Supernatural.
Steve tried to tune out their excited chatter and pay attention to the radio. Stay With Me by Sam Smith was playing. Tears welled in Steve’s eyes. This was their song…
“This song sucks!” said Kara. “Pass me the aux.”
She plugged her iPhone 5 in, not needing an adaptor or anything, and played Basketball by Kurtis Blow. Steve took deep breaths, calming himself down. As Kurtis Blow sang, the convention center came into view. Gacé parked the car, and they all piled out. Everyone was dressed up for the occasion. Well, everyone but Steve, who had decided to wear his okayest pajama pants and a Homestuck t-shirt, which he figured would allow him to blend in. Matt was dressed as Dean Winchester and Gacé was Sam. Kara, Kaia, and Paris were characters from Big Hero 6. Colleen was dressed as the Zebra Goddess, who she claimed was from a really popular movie, yet no one knew what she was talking about. Ashley was supposed to be Anastasia Steele from 50 Shades of Grey, but to Steve she looked like she was just wearing regular clothes.
“Alright RFs, who’s ready to do this!” Ashley said.
The gang cheered and followed her to the doors of the convention center.
Steve stayed back for a moment, looking around at all the people streaming into the building.
“Feeling overwhelmed?” Paris asked.
Steve took a deep breath. “Yeah. This is the first big thing I’ve done since…” he didn’t finish. He didn’t have to.
“If it’s too much we’ll leave,” Paris said, looking like that’s not what she wanted to do at all.
“No, I’ll be okay. Let’s do this.”
The gang walked around for a while, seeing as many booths as possible and doing the things people do at Comic Con.
About an hour in, and Steve was feeling good. He bought himself a new Steven Universe shirt and a churro. The gang was rounding a corner when Steve saw him, and his heart stopped.
There, at the Sharknado 2 booth, was Billy Ray Cyrus.
Steve knew this wasn’t his Billy Ray. It couldn’t possibly be. But everything about the man was familiar. From the way he stood to the way he was laughing at something his costar, Kelly Osborn, said.
Steve didn’t know what came over him. He dropped his churro and ran right at Billy Ray. He could hear the RFs yelling after him, but he didn’t care. He had to know.
Suddenly, Steve was grabbed by two beefy security guards. He tried to get past them, but they were too beefy. So he did the only thing he could.
“Billy Ray! Billy Ray Cyrus!” he yelled in desperation. “Please, do you remember me?”
Billy Ray looked up, and right into Steve’s eyes. Steve would never forget the next words Billy Ray spoke.
“Sorry partner, I don’t believe we’ve met.”
Steve stopped fighting and the guards dragged him out of the room.
“This is embarrassing,” Matt muttered as the RFs followed the guards to where Steve was being held.
They were told that Steve was to sit in Comic Con jail for the rest of the evening and they could come pick him up when the convention closed. They were now on their way to get him.
“We never even got to go to the Star Trek booth,” Paris said sassily.
“That might have been too much for Steve,” Ashley said. They all vaguely knew what Steve had told the police when he returned, and they all avoided the subject of Star Trek as much as possible.
“At least we got that picture with Jared and Jensen!” said Gacé.
“Whatever, let’s just get Steve and go,” said Colleen. “I need me a fry pile.”
The gang nodded in agreement.
The convention hall was pretty clear, so they didn’t think they would have a problem getting Steve out safely.
No one said anything as Steve emerged from the room he was being kept in.
“Sorry guys,” Steve said, not meeting any of their eyes.
“It’s fine, let’s just get out of here,” said Kara.
As they walked through the convention center, no one said anything. Nearly every booth was empty. Except one.
The Star Trek booth.
“Oh no,” someone said, as Steve stared at him.
It wasn’t Jimmy, not his Jimmy. But Zebra Goddess, did it look like him.
There stood William Shatner, talking to Walter Koenig, who played Chekov. Several other cast members from the original series stood around, listening to something Walter was playing on his iPod.
“It’s not that bad!” said Willy Shatz, laughing.
“Oh yes it is!” said Nichelle Nichols, or as Steve had known her, Uhura.
Steve listened closer and realized they were listening to William Shatner’s cover of Bohemian Rhapsody.
“Come on,” said Paris, grabbing Steve’s arm and trying to stop him from gawking.
William Shatner seemed to notice the commotion. He looked up from his conversation and at Steve. There was something familiar in his eyes, something Steve recognized.
Could it be…?
William Shatner broke away from the crowd as the music swelled and made his way over to the RFs. Steve was frozen in shock.
“We have to get him out of here,” said Ashley, pushing Steve from the opposite side Paris was pulling.
Gacé was preparing to pick Steve up and carry him out of the convention center to avoid what would inevitably be a disaster.
Kara stepped in front of Steve. “S- sorry, Mr. Shatner, we were just leaving,” Kara said.
William Shatner pushed past her and walked up to Steve. Paris, Ashley, and Gacé backed off.
“Have we met?” said William Shatner. “You look very familiar.”
“I - I don’t believe so, no,” said Steve, looking down at his ratty shoes.
From across the room, Walter yelled. “Oh, what the hell?” He was fiddling with his iPod. Bohemian Rhapsody cut off and Cherry Pie started playing.
“Yes,” said William Shatner, smiling, ignoring his friend. “I know you.”
He took a step back and the music grew louder. A yellow light appeared from his chest and he was lifted into the air. He started spinning, the light growing stronger and rainbow sparkles emerging. He was going through a magical girl transformation!
He landed on the ground, kneeling, head down. When he looked up he was no longer William Shatner. He stood, and before Steve was Jimmy Kirk. His Jimmy Kirk. In full Star Trek uniform, looking as young as he had on the show.
“I’ve waited years for a love like you,” said Jimmy, smiling. “Did you really think I’d give up so easily?”
Steve and Jimmy embraced and kissed. The gang and the cast of the original series had no choice but to stare, confused.
“Jimmy,” said Steve breathlessly. “I knew you were real.”
“Let’s get out of here,” he took his communicator out of his pocket. “Scotty, beam us up.” He took Steve’s hand.
“Will, that’s just a prop,” said Walter.
Jimmy ignored him. One final portal appeared before Steve.
“I made this last universe just for us,” said Jimmy. “Ready to go, Cherry Pie?”
Steve looked into his lover’s eyes and smiled. “I’m ready.”
Together, they walked through the portal and into the rest of their lives.

THE BEST JAZZ ALBUMS 2021 (SO FAR)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This album was recorded 45 years ago but sound so fresh like a recent release from a young band. Previously unreleased Marcos Resende & Index self-titled debut album from 1976, contributing a crucial missing work from the glory days of progressive Brazilian instrumental music. Resende in 76 after touring Europe with his previous band returned home to Brazil as an established highly regarded keyboardist, composer, and innovative electronic musician. Inspired and invigorated by US jazz and British progressive rock he'd experienced while residing in Europe, Resende went all out acquiring a keyboard arsenal to be reckoned with, which included the Prophet 5, Yamaha CP-708 and Mini Moog. Determined to integrate his newfound inspirations with Brazilian rhythms and jazz traditions, he formed a new quartet with Rubão Sabino (bass), Claudio Caribé (drums) and the late great Oberdan Magalhães, of Banda Black Rio and Cry Babies fame. Marcos Resende & Index recorded their self-titled debut at Sonoviso Studios with the legendary sound engineer Toninho Barbosa, known as the 'Brazilian Rudy Van Gelder' whose impressive resumé includes the era defining classics Light As A Feather by Azymuth, Previsão Do Tempo by Marcos Valle, and Quem É Quem by João Donato. Marcos Resende & Index fits perfectly amongst these masterpieces, sharing both the timeless ethereal qualities as well as the progressive and futuristic ideals of Light As A Feather in particular. Marcos Resende & Index by Marcos Resende & Index   Mathias Modica's Sonic Rohstoff is the new album on Kryptox Music. Sonic Rohstoff is a journey through abstract downtempo vibes, lofi jazz and futuristic electronica. Most people might know Modica from his earlier works as a producer, keyboard player and founder/ creative mind behind Toy Tonics, Gomma and Kryptox. Over the past two decades he has made a name for himself by discovering and breaking new talent and styles of music. This is Modica's first album under his own name, following three albums under his monikers Kapote and Munk. All instruments are performed by Modica himself, embellished by guest musicians from the new Berlin Jazz scene. Sonic Rohstoff by Mathias Modica   Zurich-based musician Arthur Hnatek is one of a new breed of players who see their music as a continuum stretching between genres, always thinking in terms of links rather than boundaries, possibilities rather than limits. His time spent playing drums with similarly adventurous and unclassifiable artists Tigran Hamasyan and Shai Maestro opened his ears to the possibilities of rhythmic variation: his immersion in electronic music production and the motorik tradition of Jaki Liebzeit alerted him the possibilities of repetition. Now, with Static, he presents his first trio record: joined by his equally fearless bandmates Fabien Iannone on bass and Francesco Geminiani on tenor sax, this is music created by classic jazz line-up and steeped in an improvisational facility, yet simultaneously utterly unlike anything in the standard jazz tradition.   Marcelo Monteiro, a saxophonist from Sao Paulo, Brazil, has played with various Brazilian and international artists and at the same time was developing his own authorial work. Has excelled in the jazz scene in São Paulo, currently, he has performed with his group, which may be in trio, quartet or quintet version. With his group plays compositions of his own. His music follows the style of groove, funk and modern jazz, simple but very creative themes, with a hint of Brazilian swing. On his new album, Deyeh, he experimented with arrangements with flutes and saxophones, exploring the sound combining contemporary jazz, Brazilian rhythms, in a modern concept. The album was recorded remotely with each musician recording from their own home studio. Deyeh by Marcelo Monteiro

Sankofa by Amaro Freitas   World-renowned drummer/composer, & producer/beatmaker, Myele Manzanza, has proved that he's an artist who continues to dissolve the borders between modern jazz and electronic beat production. Having released three solo albums, and racking up tours and collaborations with Jordan Rakei, Theo Parrish, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Recloose and Amp Fiddler amongst others. Myele is already developing a strong live presence in his new London base; his quartet has shared stages with the likes of Hiatus Kaiyote, The Bad Plus, Alfa Mist, and drawing packed houses to top venues such as The Jazz Café and Ronnie Scott's. Crisis & Opportunity Vol.1 - London features a top tier cast of young London based talent including Ashley Henry (piano), James Copus (trumpet), George Crowley (tenor saxophone), Benjamin Muralt (bass) and additional contributions from the legendary Mark de Clive-Lowe (synths), with Myele Manzanza (drums) captaining the ship.   Crisis & Opportunity Vol. 1 - London by Myele Manzanza   Kaidi Tatham is a legendary multi-instrumentalist. Once dubbed "the UK's Herbie Hancock" by Benji B, he's a virtuoso on the keys and a true innovator in sound production as one of the original creators of the Broken Beat sound. Over the years his musical prowess has blessed numerous projects, initially with the likes of Bugz In The Attic and The Herbaliser, and more recently with DJ Jazzy Jeff (through the PLAYlist projects), Andrew Ashong (on the acclaimed Sankofa Season EP last year) and with a longtime accomplice, Dego. This is in addition to session work for artists such as Mulatu Astatke, Slum Village or Amy Winehouse. An Insight To All Minds is Kaidi's 3rd solo album under his own name, following several EPs and two albums for First Word; 2018's acclaimed It's A World Before You and the re-press of his seminal 2008 sophomore album In Search Of Hope last year. An Insight To All Minds by Kaidi Tatham   JAUBI continue the Nafs journey, which commenced with the single Satanic Nafs (featuring the remix by legendary LA producers The Gaslamp Killer & Mophono) released in March 2021. Now JAUBI draw on the elements of North Indian classical music, Hip-Hop and modal/spiritual jazz in their debut LP entitled Nafs At Peace. The journey officially began back in April 2019 when London's multi-instrumentalist and 22a Record label boss Ed "Tenderlonious" Cawthorne and Polish pianist/composer Marek "Latarnik" Pędziwiatr of EABS/Błoto, visited the group to record in Lahore. Together they channeled their personal struggles at that time into the two recording sessions allowing the musicians to find a spiritual path through this musical purge.  Nafs at Peace by Jaubi   Australian 9-piece Spiritual Jazz group Menagerie announce their highly anticipated third album 'Many Worlds', released 15th January 2021 on esteemed U.K label Freestyle Records. Menagerie is the Melbourne-based Jazz ensemble founded by producer, songwriter, guitarist, DJ and recording artist Lance Ferguson, also the driving force behind The Bamboos, Lanu, Rare Groove Spectrum and Machines Always Win. Recorded at Union Street Studio by award-winning engineer John Castle, 'Many Worlds' features some of Australia's finest musicians, including pianist Mark Fitzgibbon (a regular performer at Gilles Peterson and Patrick Forge's original Dingwalls sessions), drummer Daniel Farrugia and renowned saxophonist Phil Noy (The Bamboos). Inspired by both the post-Coltrane generation of the 70's, labels like Strata-East, Impulse! and Tribe, along with the current 'New Wave Of Jazz', Menagerie aligns with the world of Kamasi Washington, Shabaka Hutchings and Nubya Garcia, whilst also bringing their own unique twist. Many Worlds by Menagerie Astonishing new work from the fertile creative mind of tenor saxophonist-composer James Brandon Lewis. Performed by the Red Lily Quintet (James Brandon Lewis, Kirk Knuffke, William Parker, Chris Hoffman, Chad Taylor), an exceptional & singular inter-generational ensemble, this album speaks to the forever-evolving continuum of the jazz tradition. Voted Rising Star Tenor Saxophonist in the 2020 DownBeat Magazine International Critic's Poll, James Brandon Lewis supercharges his remarkable evolution with Jesup Wagon, a brilliant and evocative appreciation of the life and legacy of turn-of-the-19th century African-American musician-painter-writer-scientist George Washington Carver.   Jesup Wagon by James Brandon Lewis / Red Lily Quintet

John Carroll Kirby's Septet album was recorded live in the studio with a range of talents playing keys, vibes, bass, percussion and drums. The composer and keyboardist leads the charge and approached the album wanting to play with the chaos of jazz fashion in the 70's/80's, bands like Weather Report and Miles Davis. He sure does that but there is beauty in the madness, with plenty of lush and golden keys dancing above lithe and ad hoc rhythms.  Septet by John Carroll Kirby     Matt Carmichael released his debut album on his own label, Porthole Music. He has already developed quite a profile and an impressive list of collaborations; he also reached the finals of BBC Young Jazz Musician 2020. His quartet, formed five years ago, consists of his contemporaries, award-winning Fergus McCreadie on piano, Ali Watson on bass and Tom Potter on drums. Like McCreadie, Carmichael creates music that feels highly personal, fusing an energetic yet sensitive modern jazz into a bedrock of Scottish traditional music. Where Will The River Flow by Matt Carmichael   Taking cues from Dorothy Ashby and Alice Coltrane at their most delicate, renowned Welsh harpist Amanda Whiting's mesmerizing Jazzman full-length LP After Dark arrives as soft as moonlight to gladden the soul and delight the ear-without forgetting to bring the swing. Summoning the nocturnal mood suggested by the album's title, Whiting's harp flows and cascades, dances and alights, broods and haunts, informed by a deep understanding of both classical and jazz music, ultimately revealing a top-drawer composer with rare melodic gifts at the top of her game. After Dark by Amanda Whiting   JD73's Electrio - Pyramid is a colourful & energetic live recording session presenting 8 incredible pieces of music. Dan 'JD73' Goldman is known the world over for his contributions to the world of Jazz & modern electronic soul music and is backed up on Pyramid by Hamlet Luton (Bass) and Gordon Kilroy (Drums) completing the ElecTrio. Dan's ability to construct these incredible melodic gems centered on the sound of the Rhodes Piano is something to behold. This is a real collectors album and if you're a fan of Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Bob James & George Duke you need this on your record shelf for sure. So, You’re Interested in Sex Play (but Don’t Know Where to Start)
Compared to our swipe-right dating scene and all the totally NSFW shows on TV (looking at you, The Affair), your own sex life can seem as bland as a saltine cracker.
You’re just not quite as 4K as what’s on the screen — and that’s absolutely fine.
Ashley Armitage / Refinery29 for Getty Images
While you should never get wild just because pop culture tells you to, there’s nothing wrong with getting creative in the bedroom. “Research suggests that openness and spontaneity will lead to a lasting relationship,” said the late Kat Van Kirk, Ph.D., a former sex therapist and the author of The Married Sex Solution. “Don’t get caught up in judgments in your own head.”
And as you get used to talking candidly with your partner(s) about what you want to do (and what you’ve already done), it only gets easier. “A lot of partners really like empowered partners,” she said. “That exchange builds communication and respect.”
So, go ahead and be adventurous. After all, it’s sex play — emphasis on play. Here are a few tips to get you started.
1. Bring it up casually
Tumblr media
All the experts we spoke with agreed that if you’re having trouble broaching the subject, you can let a movie, piece of erotica literature, or even a sexy song inspire you.
Jane Greer, Ph.D., a marriage and sex therapist, and author of What About Me? Stop Selfishness From Ruining Your Relationship, suggests broaching the topic with I was reading this in an article or I saw this on TV.
Or the next time you’re strolling through a drugstore (it can be a little less intimidating than a sex shop), stop by the condom section, which often contains lubes and other small toys.
“Say, ‘Is there anything that you’ve always wanted to try?’ or ‘We’ll each get to pick one thing,’” says Logan Levkoff, Ph.D., sexologist and member of the Trojan™ Sexual Health Advisory Council. “You’ll get a little variety, and you get to see what someone else wants to try.”
2. Ease in with lube
Tumblr media
One of the easiest things to incorporate is a lube. Usually water- or silicone-based, lubricants help everything feel more slippery.
“Water-based lubes are easy to clean up because the main element is water,” Levkoff says. They’re also usually cheaper than other kinds. The one drawback? Water-based lubes dry up faster than silicone-based lubes, which are thicker and tend to last longer.
“So, if you are engaging in water-based sex, such as getting it on in the shower, you’re going to want something that doesn’t wash off,” she says. “Or if you’re having anal sex, where lubricant is going to be important consistently, silicone-based lubricants can be a good option.”
Lubes come in a variety of flavors and sensations (think hot or cold), but it’s really all about personal preference.
One thing you should probably avoid? Anything with oil — including coconut oil or whatever else you’ve got in the kitchen. “I would never recommend anything genitally that isn’t designed to be used genitally,” Levkoff says.
Plus, oils erode latex (the material most condoms are made from). No bueno. If you’ve already used lube, you’re not alone. About 65 percent of women reported that they’d used lube before,Herbenick D, et al. (2014). Women’s use and perceptions of commercial lubricants: Prevalence and characteristics in a nationally representative sample of American adults. DOI: 10.1111/jsm.12427  and roughly 70 percent of men reported that they’d used lube too Reece M, et al. (2014). Men’s use and perceptions of commercial lubricants: Prevalence and characteristics in a nationally representative sample of American adults. DOI: 10.1111/jsm.12480 — usually to make sex feel more comfortable or pleasurable.
Give Trojan™ Lubricants H20 Closer™ a shot. The advanced water-based formula enhances your experience without getting in the way — or creating a sticky mess — allowing you and your partner(s) to feel closer.
3. If you want to try a toy, start with something simple
Gwyneth Paltrow would have you believe that you need a $15,000 gold-plated vibrator (you don’t). But there are way more accessible options out there.
“If you’re in a drugstore, you can try a vibrating cock ring,” Levkoff says. Vibrating rings fit over the penis and are safe to use with condoms.
“A lot of penis-owners end up really liking [vibrating] rings,” Van Kirk said. “And because they vibrate, you’re going to have clitoral stimulation, so no matter what position you’re in, everyone’s a winner. It’s not about one person or the other.”
No penis in the mix? No problem! Vibrating rings don’t have to be used genitally — they can also double as a massager, Levkoff says. Now that’s versatile (although they may draw the line at electric toothbrush).
4. Or skip toys altogether
Tumblr media
While it can be exciting to introduce something new, you don’t need a toy to crank up the heat.
“It doesn’t have to be about bringing things into the bedroom,” Levkoff says. “It could be about changing the location. It could be pornography or an erotic book. It could be making the greatest playlist of songs that really turn you on — and two songs in, who knows what can happen?”
One other fun idea that won’t cost a thing? Sexy talk. Though it can be a little tough to get started — what can I say that won’t sound stupid!? — there are ways around that.
“If you read erotic lit or watch porn, you might find a phrase that makes you say, ‘That’s kinda hot,’” Van Kirk said. “Put it in your phone, write it down, whatever you need so you don’t forget. Start getting a script together.”
The main thing, Van Kirk said, is “you don’t want it to get too complicated.” She suggested aiming for one or two phrases that you feel comfortable saying, and trying those out first.
If talking seems like too much, “just start verbalizing during sex,” Van Kirk said. “Groans and moans — that sound response helps to get people used to using their voices during sex.”
Bonus: It also lets your partner(s) know they’re doing a good job.
5. Remember, communication is key
This one should hopefully be a no-brainer, but consent is key anytime you start pushing bedroom boundaries.
“If you’re into any kind of fantasy play or verbalizing play that involves saying stop, you need an option to actually stop play,” Van Kirk said. Simply put: You need a safe word. Even if you’re not into bondage or discipline, you may still need a way to let your partner(s) know it’s time to call it quits.
And if your partner(s) brings up something you’re just not into? Greer suggests saying, “I appreciate your fantasy, and I’d be willing to explore it with you by talking about it. But for now, that’s not something I’d be comfortable trying.”
By keeping it about your own discomfort, Greer says, you’re letting your partner(s) know there’s nothing wrong and no need to feel guilty or ashamed about bringing something up.
Sexual activity without consent
If a partner(s) refuses to stop when you ask them, initiates sexual contact without consent, or becomes physically or emotionally aggressive when you say no, you have experienced sexual assault.
If this happens to you, account for your physical safety first by leaving the premises, then contact 911, if that’s possible.
We’ve compiled a guide for people who’ve gone through sexual assault with the next steps you should take, organizations that can help, and crisis counseling contacts.
The bottom line
At the end of the day, it’s about what’s comfortable and pleasurable for you and your partner(s).
“There’s no way to be ‘advanced’ at having sex,” says Levkoff. “If you and a partner have sex in the same exact way every time, and it’s fun and fulfilling, then it’s kay.”
(And remember, research suggests that most couples have sex for an average of slightly more than 5 minutes — not a lot of time for boot-knocking creativity.) Most importantly, don’t agree to try something new just to avoid a breakup.
“Whatever you’re exploring should be done in the context of enhancing your relationship — building on what you already have,” says Greer.
Relationships change over time, as well — what turns you on at the beginning may not do so at the end. So, while you might want to try new things, you shouldn’t feel undue pressure to reinvent the wheel every month.

Also who would be able to defeat Diana? Or Van Halen
Ok so when I was making Diana and her Stand Queen of Pain. I made her so she is made to be unbeatable in Dead Beat's Desire she's to be the one character the protagonists can't do anything about at all. Except for Jacqueline who will by the end of Dead Beat's Desire get a boost.
Now Van Halen however I can set these into a tier list. It's another basis of who can get close without getting affected. Like Sam but easier.
Can definitely defeat Van Halen
Diana as I mentioned she is the unbeatable one.
Demetrius his Stand requires close range yes which definitely puts him at the danger of transformation. But his Stand being able to see the exact future puts him at the advantage.
Kirk he could stop Halen thus stopping his Stand and it's ability.
Floyd illusions. (Floyd can also pretty much beat anyone but when they realise the gases make them hallucinate then they'll just hold their breath)
Ronan also illusions to make his body think nothing is happening.
Irving would be able to speed up his bodies evolution process so it would push against the devolution process of Do The Evolution. But the DNA splicing sould still be an issue to him. As Halen would be completely converting around his body parts most likely to something that would be weak and unhelpful in a fight.
Lotus doesn't even need to approach because seeing how stuff that happens to TBP doesn't hurt Lotus TBP could just approach and touch Halen so then TBP could just kill him. And the DNA splicing would just rewire back to Halen aswell because anything that happens to TBH when it's linked with someone. Happens to the linked person to.
Candy. If she sends a doll forward and it reverts back to all the separate original elements and pieces then Halen becomes TPF.
Ramones. Disintegrating lasers easy gg's.
Chrissy. Though it seems stupid all she needs to do is take a picture of him and she's won.
Abraxus can control the heat and cold. Could burn him from far away.
Kelly could erase the space between them then erase his body parts threatening him to change everyone affected back to normal.
Michael but with Act 2 because it's a black hole.
Chen. Do The Evolution can't transform any elements that aren't solid. So Alois may be able to stop him to if he moves that of which he doesn't really have to do.
People who aren't beating him
Literally anyone else. Literally nothing can get past him unless it's extremely particular like the before mentioned. Cause he can turn anything into anything else. That goes for both animate and inanimate objects, so no projectiles either. It's kinda like Giorno but worse (Worse as in scarier). I'd say Cassidy & Ashley could but even Mr Blue Sky & Gasoline have to get near him eventually to attack. They'd be affected by the primal devolution ability even if they do disappear.
