I haven't been posting here as much cause. Idk. Might be depression? I keep thinking its cause I've been so busy, which also wouldn't be not untrue, but these past, like, 3 weeks I think so far? noelle holiday age progression chart

explanations of designs:

hi yall

so, i actually finished this drawing like a week ago lol. but i didnt want to post a bunch of drawing in a row, and then i got sick, so i havent been able to post it till now!

its my imaginings of what noelle looked like as she grew up, and a potential adult noelle design! ill explain my thought processes about these designs below, if anyones interested 😁

i also plan on doing one of these with dess, but this one was pretty difficult, so it might be awhile before that (unless yalls are interested in seeing it?)

first off, im not 100% sure ill keep using all these designs. some of them im not that happy with (im no good at designing outfits 😔) but i just went with them so i could finish the drawing. so if anyone has any alternative outfit ideas for any of her ages, id be interested in seeing/hearing it!

secondly, something that may stick out to yall for all the designs is how tall she gets. its the same height i normally draw her with, but given how i usually draw her by herself you cant really tell how tall she is! i have 3 main reasons for why i headcanon her as this tall: deer are pretty tall irl, so having her be tall makes sense in my head; i just like the look of her being super tall, it makes me happy lol; and third, i personally also headcanon the holiday family as boss monsters (i think ive explained this headcanon before on here, so i wont explain again, unless someone is interested ^^). so yeah, she ends up being 7 feet tall as an adult, the second tallest in her family!

also, i gave all her children forms stripes in some way, as a reference to when monster kid in undertale says they can tell frisk is a kid because of their stripes!

now onto my explainations for individual drawings!

theres nothing really to say about her baby design. the only thing i did that might be new is give her faun spots! they are most plentiful on her baby form, but they persist until shes in her teens, i would say (on here you cant see them after age 7, but thats just because i imagine they are mostly on her back). and i gave her a cute lil onsie that says a-deer-able! if you guys cant read it ^^

this outfit i made for her toddler design is actually an outfit ive used in the past! i wonder if yall know what drawing it was? its pretty much the same as it was there, i just added a stripe to the shirt. i felt like overalls are so reminiscent of childhood, i had to give at least one of her designs them! i also added a little mistletoe to the front pocket, to make it more christmas-esque. and i gave her some bandaids, just cause.

7 years old is one of the designs i really struggled on, and im still not happy with it. i dunno if ive said this yet, but i headcanon noelle to be trans, so at 7 is when i decided she started realizing it. so here i gave her long sleeves and pants, to show how shes more hidden now because shes unhappy with herself, if that makes any sense? i was also trying to make her look a bit like a nerd, with the button up and khakis, just because its funny. but yeah, ill probably end up changing this design at some point :P

11 years old was one of the easiest to do, considering how ive had her design for this age for awhile lol. one thing i did change was going from 2 red/white stripes to one, but ive done that before, so it wasnt something entirely new. i also gave her a smile and closed eyes, cause shes happy being a girl 🥰. other that that, its the same, so yeah, thats it for this part

okay, this next design is a fairly different looking one than all the rest, but i have my reasons! at this point in noelles live, dess has gone missing, so i wanted to show her being sad and stuff. i also gave her shoes and long sleeves because she probably goes out looking for dess when she can, hoping to find a lead 😭. but outside of in-story stuff, this outfit is based off of an old one i drew, but its fairly edited, so i wouldnt be surprised if no one recognizes it even if they have seen my old stuff. she has straight hair here, to show how unhappy she is (idk what it is about straight hair it just feels sad) and because i wanted to give her different hair varieties on this progression chart. i gave her antlers 2 prongs each at this point, because the way i see deer monsters, their antlers show their growth/aging, so youll see them getting bigger and having more prongs as the chart continues.

this outfit for 15 is another one i dont like. i tried to make it similar to her current outfit, but still pretty different. im not even sure what precisely i dont like about this outfit, it just doesnt feel that good. for this one i gave her leg warmers because i used to (and sometimes still do) draw her normal outfit with them. i gave her the curly hair she has as a callback to when i used to draw her hair like that! but yeah, ill probably end up redoing this one too

for 17, i just gave her the normal outfit, so it was easy ^^. in game i think shes 16, but close to turning 17, so i just went with 17 here to fit the +2 age pattern thing i had going on. i also gave her an extra horn prong than i normally give her, just to show age once again

finally, her adult design! i dont like this one either lol. i spent so long trying to think of what outfit to give her, but i couldnt come up with something i liked >.< so i just gave her something simple. i feel like once noelle graduates high school and probably goes to college she branches out more and tries things her mother never let her do, which is why i gave her an outfit like that, that has a crop top and a shorter skirt. also, yalls might recognize the hair style i gave her, i drew a potential adult noelle before and i gave her the same hair ^^

i'm in a chatty mood and i saw another dumb st take someone shared on twitter from i think fb. 😂 it was about how iii & iv are not real members of the band, that they don't contribute anything and are completely replaceable... absolutely insane take imho.

yes, Vessel and ii are sleep token at it's core, they write and record the songs. just bc iii & iv are technically touring members doesn't mean they're not part of the band? and to claim they don't bring anything to the table is insane. oh it also said something about how they should get a "rEaL gUiTaRiSt". first of all, put some mf respect on mr. ivy and second of all what the fuck do you even mean? not only do they play their instruments and iv supports Ves at the harsh vocals, they also bring so much engagement with the audience and great stage presence and charisma. yes, there have been other members, but the band as it is right now feels whole. you just get a good vibe from them. you can tell they're all good friends and i also think iii & iv make Vessel more comfortable on stage. when i think of sleep token i think of all four of them, all of them have their unique quirks that make them so likeable and none of them are just easily replaceable.

the fact that caliborn constantly told him about how dave was the knight and he needed to be the knight. he needed to enter the medium. if he didn't enter the medium then everything that dirk's entire life has been leading up to has been a disappointment, a mistake, and he doesn't want to disappoint his very dear best friend cal does he? hee hee hee.

he also told him about how dave is SUPPOSED to be. cool, stoic. that kinda stuff, bc calibrn has a bit of a gay thing for both of them im sure.

+ the deep feeling inside of dirk that he Knew cal was right (something something; destiny/fate/will of the universe/etc), that dirk existed to do this; to get cal into the medium, to get dave into the medium, to make them stronger, led to dirk thinking of dave as his goal instead of anything remotely resembling family-

Okay this man definitely was acquainted to Egeria in some way and this extends to Furina as well (BECAUSE HE LOOKS SO SAD LIKE WHAT HAPPENED TO CRACK THIS MANS FACADE). I like to believe that Egeria and Neuvi might have a sort of Mentor/mentee/passing of the torch relationship. Because in so far everytime we hear Egeria, she talks to neuvi as if to hope that he will learn to understand humanity or learn his purpose or find SOMETHING (i forgot exactly what she says). But yeah he clearly holds her to high regard and that sentiment might extend to furina either because Egeria entrusted Neuvi with Furina, his loyalty to Egeria and Fontaine, or Furina just reminded him of Egeria and regardless of the trial still didn't want harm to come to his archon.

Okay a step back, we know that neuvi has holes about his past when he came to the world as the sovereign successor. And his line (i think its his idk) 'i seem to remember now... this trial is...' could be a call back of something Egeria told him from the past.

I firmly believe that this prophecy was actually a trial for NEUVILLETTE and not FURINA. It could be a final trial for him and his understanding of his position as chief justice and humanity. WHICH would tie into Egeria's line

Finally the GNOSIS

Okay the most obvious place is in the Oratrice. I feel like because Egeria isn't truly dead (from the who Amrita thing), it's possible that she lives in the Oratrice where she guides Neuvi and Furina. That's why it seems like it has its own conciousness and agenda. It's why it falsely accused Childe (and presumably Furina too). It might be why neuvi i think says this.

Anyways theres NO WAY the gnosis is staying in the oratrice lmao. There's bound to be a power transfer, the oratrice might be dead or dismantled because of its previous 'wrong' accusation for childe. And well im very much hoping it goes to Neuvi where he'll finally have his own meaning of Justice and no longer needs the assistance of the Oratrice to make judgements

I dont have much to say about Skirk, im most certainly looking forward to skirk childe interaction. Im guessing shes there at the abyss side either for the Narssizkruenz (fack spelling) ordo relation or well.. the gnosis. Im taking a random guess that she and the abyss might take away the gnosis to prevent celestia from descending early because fontaine is giving back the power they stole from a sovereign back to him.

Anyway this is my FAVORITE. BIRD. And more people need to talk about her!!!!

So first of all there's the main thing they're known for - being the ONLY known vertabrate whose diet consists mainly (between 70 and 90 PERCENT!!!!!!) of BONE!!!!!!

ALSO however! This bird is POSSIBLE evidence of non-human animal using COSMETICS!!!! Y'see, they are naturally mostly white in coloration, but they roll in iron-rich mud and dust, thus dyeing their feathers a rich red color! Interestingly, Bearded Vultures, a primarily solitary and somewhat territorial animal, seem to be more respectful of and submissive to others of their species who have more red to their feathers. Though it is worth noting, as these birds live in very high altitudes, that we havent been able to observe them in the wild enough to prove the connection between dyed hue and perceived dominance.

Also i seem to remember in some poll (genuinely cant remember if it was urs or not) the Bearded Vulture was beat by a bird whose main notable trait was commiting fratricide - something that the Bearded Vulture ALSO does! The mother lays two eggs, one egg hatches about a week before the other, and upon the second egg hatching one chick (almost always the older one) kills and eats the other. I dont usually share that bit cause it would turn a lot of folks off from my Favorite Bird Ever but it really bothered me how that poll went down lol (lighthearted) (not actually mad)

Anyway, uuuuhhhh i think thats it -

Ok. How many people are in Ghost? And do people know what they look like without the masks?

Is Papa (?) Pope (?) same person??? Same mask ? different names?

Oh man, there are a lot of people in Ghost, but currently, there are nine members of the band. Eight ghouls and Papa Emeritus IV. There have been many others, mostly those who played the ghouls, but they usually leave on their own terms.

For a long time, people didn't know what the band members looked like beneath their masks. They wanted to remain anonymous, but that didn't last long so now people know what they all look like under the mask.

All of the Papas are played by the same man, Tobias Forge, who wears a different mask for each character. Here's Tender Father below. He's a mad talented genius :D

Onto the Papas! There are four of them and each album has a different Papa as the lead. All of them are brothers with their father being this old fart, Papa Nihil.

He's the only Papa that's not played by Tobias Forge. I'll get back to him a little later.

This here is Papa 1, also known as Primo. He's the first Papa and he's also an old fart. All of them are old farts, but Primo is the second oldest fart behind Nihil.

I honestly don't know much about him, but Ghost started out with him with the album, OpusEponymous. He's crusty and dusty lookin, but the fans still love him. Also, the fandom has collectively agreed that he loves gardening due to a very good cosplayer playing around in a garden.

Next up is Papa 2, also known as Secondo. He looks like an older Pitbull when not in makeup (that's still a mask :'D)

He's the bone daddy and he's pretty intimidating with that stare. He was the frontman for the album, Infestissumam, which fucking slaps holy shit. I highly recommend that one.

Next up is Terzo, who quickly became a fan favorite as Ghost started getting more popular. Lord almighty, this man has most everyone in the fandom acting up. He's horny on main almost 24/7 and it shows lol

With their Grammy hit, Cirice, came the most wanted experience by many ghost fans: Being picked by Papa Emeritus if you're near the stage so he can serenade you and give your hand a smooch. Lord, I'd die on the spot. The charisma is dripping from those gifs, good lord almighty I think I need to fan myself lol

He was behind the Meliora album where it focused less on the devil, which was focused on in the other albums, and more on worshipping the self. The ministry didn't like this and Terzo ended up getting dragged off stage and eventually killed along with Primo and Secondo. Very sad :(, but next up is when things get very good :D

Before Terzo was killed off, we were introduced to Cardinal Copia

He is also a fan favorite and he became the frontman for the Prequelle album once Terzo and the others were killed off. It's very likely that he is also an Emeritus due to Papa Nihil hooking up with Sister Imperator when they were younger.

Anyway, back to Copia. Nihil didn't want Copia leading the band because he wasn't a part of the bloodline, but Sister said he was very good at his job as Cardinal and him having the second most employee of the month achievements convinced Papa Nihil to let Copia lead the band. Nihil wanted to lead, but he's an extra old fart and the band needed someone a bit younger.

So Copia became the frontman and he was goofy, sexy and fabulous!

He wore a lot of tight-ass clothes and he liked to ride around on a lil tricycle both off and on stage. He's the rat daddy :3

And then, everything changed when Papa Nihil died on stage and Copai just rolled out on his lil trike in this video where he became the new Papa. Warning, this video is loud, but it's mostly due to this one guy losing his shit

So, Cardi C turned into Papa Emeritus IV and he's the current Papa right now and I adore him :')

Also, with Cardi becoming Papa, he got plastic surgery (new mask), so he looks a lot different now without makeup. Still love him tho :')

So, Copia is still the frontman and he's on two albums: Prequelle and Impera (which fucking slaps). It's also very likely that he's gonna get killed off at the end of this upcoming summer tour due to this video

The fandom is scared for Copia because we have no idea what's going to go down on 9/11 and 9/12. Those are their last two shows of the tour and no filming from the crowd is allowed, so something big is gonna happen. I don't want rat daddy to die :'D

Anyway, thank you so much for the ask about Ghost! There's a lot of lore, but this pretty much sums it up for the Papas. The ghouls are totally different story since there's so many of them :'D

Random thing ive been learning about, ive been looking into vintage sewing machines (just got an elna supermatic im gonna try and get working!) and learned a cool thing about how they used to make different stitches before things were computerized: these discs called "cams"!

simply put, theyre like lil gears that move the needle around to make diff designs, similar to how computerized machines do just like, mechanically. there are both built in cams (usually in cam stacks) and drop in cams that you can switch out.

now, the problem is: cams can be hard to find apparently! theres only so many of course, and while they arent that expensive individually (a few bucks apiece from what im seeing), it seems like its a pain in the ass to track down specific ones (ive seen so many people bemoaning the ducky elna cam. everyone wants that duck!)

because theyre usually just bits of plastic, it wouldnt be THAT hard to just. 3d print em. maybe it wouldnt give the best results, but hey, a ducky thats gonna wear out a lil too fast might be better than not having a ducky at all, and if people had the files at least someone could theoretically produce them thru better means, like injection molding or whatever.

but of course making a 3d printing database of cams is easier said than done. not for lack of trying apparently! ive found stuff like this thread of someone trying to put together a project to make a database of elna cams (which was later abandoned going by the comments), i found at least one for the elna zigzag cam (nice, might need it if i get my machine working!) , and there are at least a few files available for more popular cams like on singers. heres a thread with someone sharing a buncha files, which i cant verify bc i dont have a printer but they have the duck! and also apparently the dick, which is nice.

if you reverse engineer this shit you could design your own cams, like heres someone who made a 3-step zig zag cam, and a couple of projects for "design your own cams" which. sound cool but idk how modeling works so idk how to do this lmao. but thats so neat!

and theoretically it would be SO easy for someone to just make a database of every cam they could find and upload em for anyone to use but well. again, easier said than done. im finding a lotta scattered files, but unless im missing it i dont think anyones made a single nice lil page filled with the files for cams across diff machines.

...anyway, if anyone knows how this shit works I think it would b really cool if someone made a heartbeat cam and a lil bat cam. those would be fun!

something that helped me was trying not to define my attraction. at first, what that looked like it just saying, “okay. im bi.” as if i had always been bi. then i started looking at my attraction as if i had always been bi. if i had always been bi, would i have said i had a crush on this girl? if bring bi was the norm, would i think i were attracted to her?

later down the road, it was saying i was unlabelled. it took me a while to get there because i spent so much time thinking about my sexuality, but when i did it was extremely freeing. i could just say that i liked everyone in a different way and not worry about gender.

so i guess what im saying here, is try out the aueer labels. maybe not to your friends, maybe just to yourself, but try them out and see if they make sense. after all, youve been trying out straight for a long time.

also, stupid thing but something that helped me A LOT: make a self insert character. what is your immediate impulse to give them for sexuality?

you can say youre straight and like women. you can say youre bi and mainly be attracted to men. you can say youre queer and not put a label on it. you could look for microlabels that fit. but realistically, its up to you to decide what you want to call it.

and, just for the record? straight people usually don’t question that much. not saying you are bi, but your feelings are valid.

I read something about GRRM being inspired by The Wars of the Roses/British history and it’s common for women of that time period to have been accused by men of bewitching people or being sorceresses (not really surprising but that usually stemmed from deep misogyny/envy). So it is a bit funny when people take the accounts of the maesters at face value when f&b plays around with people’s perceptions and builds a very narrow view of who these figures are.

I'm about to jump on this ask as an excuse for a fun lil history rant :) (apologies if that's not what you were signing up for but what else am I meant to do with my degree??) But I'll be merciful and put it under a read more.

Yeah! So GRRMs influences from English medieval history are evident, asoiaf is meant to be inspired by the Wars of the Roses and he has said the Anarchy was the inspiration behind the Dance of the Dragons. But you could draw similarities between the Wars of the Roses and the Dance as well.

What we see a lot of the time with medieval Queens and female figures around the middle ages is that they have been villainaised by their contemporaries, historians, and in the public memory in general. Helen Castor explains the stories of several Queens in She Wolves, which also has a documentary, so would highly recommend that. Essentially, women have traditionally been held to much harsher scrutiny for displaying any kind of ambition or agency when compared to men.

In the Wars of the Roses specifically, Elizabeth of York and her mother Jacquetta of Luxembourg were rumoured to practice witchcraft after Elizabeth unexpectedly married Edward IV and their family rose to prominence. On the Lancaster side, Margaret of Anjou, wife of Henry VI is remembered by Shakespeare as the "She-Wolf of France" for attempting to assert her own power as Queen when her husband was incapable of ruling, and for defending her son's claim to the throne. And then we have Margaret Beaufort, the mother of Henry VII, who orchestrated her son's rise to power and is also portrayed quite negatively in various historical fiction novels and TV shows.

It's only recently that we've begun to question these interpretations of female historical figures, and we see similar patterns in Fire and Blood, not just with Alys but also with Rhaenyra and Alicent. And this is because patriarchy loves to condemn women who step outside of traditional gender roles. This is why, historically, a woman's right to rule has been so contested, because in a system of personal monarchy, it matters what kind of person the monarch is. They have to be able to lead, to fight and defend their realm, they have to be intelligent and commanding, all attributes a medieval society believes women incapable of possessing. I've gone really off topic but my point it, it's important to understand the universe these characters are operating in. If they act in an unconventional way, they will be scrutinised for it, by their enemies, by those recounting the narrative in F&B, and apparently, by fans as well. Why do we think GRRM wrote F&B as a fictional history? The book itself is a comment on historical biases and unreliable narrators.

And to be fair, I'm not saying all these women are saints who are incapable of wrongdoing, fictional or historical, but I think it's incredibly reductive to blindly idolise or vallainise female characters and political players. We all know who the real enemy is that is MEN :) (not my man Aemond though, he's a feminist prrrr)

hereesss a thing i did for your question hehe <3 its a tough call between a few of them fnaf 2, i really like how many there are and how the (of the time) new designs looked, bonnie is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yes. withered bonnie my beloved <33 mangle my beloved <33 just so many cool/interesting animatronics yaknow? puppet is included in that with how it wasnt like a 'regular' animatronic sister location is also very good to me we got some actual voicelines from some of the animatronics which was awesome!!!! and i like how shiny and new they look im also a sucker for the cheeks funtime freddy and funtime foxy are so good to me, and the custom night, i like yendo a fair amount for some reason so thats also a plus love hate with bonnie becoming a hand puppet, it adds a lot to funtime freddy but also my guy has been shrunken :o((( UCN and fnaf sim go hand in hand to me mainly because all im really thinking about is the rockstar animatronics and the mediocre melodies (more specifically, rockstar bonnie and happy frog, they are two more of my favourites) individually though, fnaf sim had some good lore to give, i like the mini games and i like henrys speech at the end, sometimes it makes me cry a bit lefty is also very interesting with what its purpose was UCN i really like because of the voicelines <33333333 auuuhghghghgh the voicelines <333333 i love quoting them and i love seeing them (mostly) all together <3 i really wish every character was in it though :o((( i can understand why some were cut out sorta but its still sad :o(((((( security breach!!! is also a contender theres soooooooooo many problems with it but i love their designs and personalities so much <3333 AND BONNIE AND FREDDY. are. ahem. i love them your honour. i love making up how it actually is in my brain rather than sticking to what they actually gave us cause what they gave us was so half baked unfortunately GIVE ARTISTS TIME TO COMPLETE THEIR CRAFT!!!!!!!!! and PAY THEM WELL SO THEY CAN DO A GOOD JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!! but yea, a lot of missed potential, the dlc was fun but still similar issues monty was blamed btw, thats my view, his ass is innocent an honourable mention is fnaf 4 again, the minigames between each night offer lore which i think is very cool, also nightmare balloon boy exists in the dlc and thanks to that, he was in UCN and got some rad voicelines that i like :o))) rabid, feral little thing also just the suspense n things, i like the vibe n that youre just a lil guy runnin around tehe one thing to note is ive only barely played fnaf 1 and fnaf 3, the rest ive only watched playthroughs of bc scary and i have no money lmao if i had to give a hard answer on which one is my favourite i think id have to go withh... sister location because i feel like itd be most rewatchable and replayable for me (if i were able to play the games) enough different things happen that it doesnt feel monotonous and its just interesting and as i said with funtime freddy and funtime foxy, they are really good characters, though mainly elevated by their voices but thats the case for basically all the animatronics hehe but for sillies cause i just love understanding the animatronics as characters id say UCN
