i hated airpods & phones with those big fugly cameras in the back when they were announced as a concept & i hate them even more each time i see that hideousness in person

#i remember when i was 11 ( sorry for being a zoomer ) getting into an argument with an online acquaintance #over airpods because i thought they were retarded but she thought they were cool as if bluetooth ear pieces were a new invention #remember how the world used to make fun of them not even that many years prior. she was like nooobut you can hide them for cheating #& against thievery ( OK the only fair point I GUESS ) but they are just so ugly to me & stupid not practical too easily lost & damaged #especially with that pricetag like they could have made something COOL or Kawaii but of course sleek Nothing design is “in”#still after a decade now ♯MAKEITSTOP #honestly only like bluetooth for file sharing when necessary anything else is devilwork #as for the new giant multiple cameras design i mean use your eyes has there ever been an uglier decision #even if i had money i could never own a touch screen phone without a middle button & a normal camera lense in the back #like just looking at them makes me angry BUT mostly apple products i think android ones are less hives inducing #but TBH i have no headphone jack so... on my old broken phone i did but not this one -_- where are my principles......#well i will wear this one down until it dies i already have a cracked arse screen so until it breaks i will downgrade #also remember how cute silicone phone cases were in the early to mid 2010s ♯BringThatBack #honestly can you even i think phones today are just too damn big Not mine Doe 🦌 mine is almost perfectly sized for my hands (iphone7)#at least people have more charms than ever in my city at least i see people with cute lanyards & zoomer style JesusBeaters so great ^_^#sorry for complaining all the time but also if you are not here for my Kvetching then what else could you be here for...#*jumps into a well from shame*

I would pay big cash money for an e-ink tablet that was good for writing. As in, fanfic writing, not necessarily hand-writing. It would be nice to have all the benefits of digital writing with all the benefits of hand-writing.

... oder zumindest kontrollieren ob alle aktuellen Patche installiert wurden. Das betrifft fast alle Smartphones und Desktop Rechner stellt der IT-Sicherheitsforscher Marc Newlin fest, der sich nach dem Entdecken des Fehlers in Android Geräten auch auf anderen Plattformen umgesehen hat.

Auch dort hat er festgestellt, dass sich ohne Authentifizierung auf den Geräten Tastenanschläge einschleusen lassen. Damit können Angreifer Nachrichten weiterleiten, Apps installieren, beliebige Befehle ausführen - also praktisch das Gerät übernehmen.

Jede/r kann zum False Positive werden

Dieser Vorfall macht auch wieder deutlich, wie gefährlich Gesetze für die Betroffenen werden können, die die Unschuldsvermutung umkehren, denn wie beweise ich, dass ich etwas nicht getan habe, wenn es von oder auf meinem Gerät passiert ist?

Ursache noch unklar

Der IT-Sicherheitsforscher wird seine Erkenntnisse demnächst öffentlich vorstellen. Bis dahin ist es noch unklar, ob der Fehler grundsätzlich im Bluetooth Protokoll steckt oder ob es lediglich Fehler in den Implementierungen sind. Heise.de vermutet die "Schuld" auf beiden Seiten und führt eine Reihe von Patches für die verschiedenen Betriebssysteme auf, die mehr Sicherheit bringen können. Diese werden jedoch auf einigen Architekturen nicht standardmäßig bei Updates installiert. Bei den neuesten macOS- und iOS-Updates ist die Lücke wohl geschlossen.

SO- I just bought a new smartphone (samsung galaxy A34) bc my old one (samsung galaxy A6) was from 2018 and -even though it technically still works- I wanted to replace it before it had the chance to die on me (so I could actually transfer my data etc this time)..

But apparently Samsung has made some weird changes since idk 2-ish years ago when my mom bought her current phone and now I'm.... ??????????

I was PREPARED that the volume buttons would now be on the same side as the on/off button (stupid change nonetheless, but I was prepared for it)..

I also knew that the charging cable would be USB-C now.... however-

I did NOT expect that apparently they only supply you with a USB-C to USB-C (?????) cable now and NO CHARGER?? you know? the thing you use to plug it into a power outlet so you can CHARGE THE BATTERY?? I can't even plug this cable I got into my computer either bc it's USB-C to USB-C instead of USB-A..

ALSO MISSING NOW APPARENTLY: A headphone jack??? what is up with this minimalist bullshit, Samsung?? I didn't even use a headphone with my phone often, bc I usually only watch videos on it at home, but still.. I'm not buying any of those stupid ass wireless things when I still have perfectly functional wired ones that I SHOULD just be able to plug into my phone.

So yeah apparently in order to even be able to use this thing I have to go back to the store and buy a seperate charger? am i the only one who thinks that's bullshit? that should be included by default and included in the price of the phone. what the fuck.

#this is just a vent post tbh but honestly....#also have to buy a seperate cable to be able to transfer files from my computer to this phone #I know you can do that with bluetooth too but if you want to transfer a large amount of files I prefer doing that with a cable #why is it USB-C on both sides now #I haven't even turned it on yet lol probably gonna hate the newer version of android too #i hadn't updated my current phone in forever lol

Apple wants me to upgrade soooooo bad
