♡ nsfw headcanons for my boys ♡
♡ english is not my first language, i apologize for the mistakes. ♡
luffy
— luffy is a whore for you. he doesn't see anything wrong with it, he will moan louder than you (canon) just because he feels so good inside you, he won't miss a moment to say it to you for the millionth time, luffy wants you to know that he doesn't use you just for your body, there is a special intimacy between you.
— he doesn't mind getting on his knees for you and licking you for hours, he just likes the taste of you and it relaxes him. luffy buries his face in your cunt and moans loudly. he also wants you to sit on his face and ride his nose, the fact that your juices will be on his face will make him cum in a second, speaking of which. licking you, luffy can cum just because his tongue is in you.
—he will touch and massage your nipples, put his fingers in your mouth to wet them, and then touch your breasts with the same fingers.
— i don't think he has a very fast pace. the first few times, he will be gentle and sensitive, but after that, girl, you are in hell of endless orgasms!!! he won't stop for a second(unless you ask him to), he wants you to cum together and kiss at that moment(canon).
— daddy king 100%, breeding king and overstimulation = luffy.
zoro.
— zoro will hold your hands during sex always, he doesn't care what position you're in, his palms will always find yours and hold them to increase your overall trust so you know he's still here and loves you dearly.
— A HUGE DICK AND IT'S A FACT. it's so big i'm afraid it might tear you up from its size, but it's also very beautiful. zoro will thrust into you to make you feel him fully and is sure to ask "can you feel me here, honey?" when his hand is on your stomach and his cock is deep inside you.
— the sloppiest when it comes to nipple sucking, he'll leave all his drool on your breasts and leave hickeys around your breasts because he's crazy about them. he'll most likely cum on your breasts and smear his cum all over them.
— will suck on your already swollen clit until you beg him to stop and push him, either way, he's a fan of overstimulation.
— will pull your hair and watch your back arch and your eyes roll with pleasure.
— size king, unprotected sex, prise kink, biting kink.
sanji.
— sanji will make you get on your knees and suck his cock forever. he won't fuck your mouth much at first, but if he sees that you like it, he won't leave you alone. without fail, he will cum in your mouth and then kiss you deeply afterward to make you feel yourself.
— not against the idea of tying your hands so you can't touch him and begging him to untie you. blindfold you so you don't know what he's going to do next and sanji can play his game.
— his hands are always on your body, his lips are always on your lips, and his cock is always deep inside you. that time when he thrusts roughly into you and your lips touch in a tender kiss will make him see the brightest stars.
— really loves playing with your nipples and won't stop until you cum from it.
— he wants to cum deep inside you and see you pregnant, he's probably always wanted that. you walk around with his baby inside you, your tummy is so cute, he gets turned on by the idea in SECONDS.
— loves rough sex anywhere but has a kink for the shower and kitchen.
— the ultimate pervert.

stuck!- one piece x reader nsfw
yknow the stuck in a box together trope? yeah that + ,y hc on their fave position
Monster trio + law x reader
Tumblr media
Luffy- 69
- He still, to this day, insists it was an accident
- he was just so hungry! and that pasta smelled so good!
- unfortunately, however, it happened to be a trap by a rival pirate group, so now you two were stuck...
he led you by the arm through a back alley
“C’mon Y/n! i can smell it!”
“Luffy, this is oddly suspi-” you cut yourself off with a scream as you and your boyfriend fell through the ground into a box, that was quickly shut. You could hear some guys laughing, and walking away,,, great
“Luffy! Hurry and get us outta here!” you whined
“hnnnmmm cant.. so.. weak” of course, they made the box out of sea-prism stone. at least, thats what you thought, but really, luffy just wanted to stay here a bit longer. him, on his back with his feet up, your ass hovering over his chest, facing his legs.
You gasp as he suddenly grasps your hips and licks your shorts
“L-LUFFY!!” god, he really was impatient. He always took you wherever, whenever he was in the mood, and it just so happens that right now hw was.
“mm y/n.. lets just stay a while...”
Your crew was wondering why it took you two so long to get back to the meeting point.
Tumblr media
Zoro- doggy style
-You two were facing a DF user, and usually Zoro would have him beat in no time
-but he was distracted... totally NOT by how good your ass looks in that skirt...short very short skirt-
It was hard to see, and you felt as though you were suffocating
it all happened so suddenly! One minute you’re walking through the woods with Zoro, trying to find your way back to the ship, then boom! in a box.
“Zoro, could you move a bit? i cant see” you were met with silence, then you felt it, suddenly you are very aware of your position. you’re face down ass up, him leaned over you, dick yo ass (his fave)- you can feel his dick hardening as he tries to not so inconspicuously move against you
“Zoro! seriously hun, i wanna get outta here!” you were starting to get a little too hot
“c’mon babe..” god you love his gruff voice in your ear, whispering- “lets just have a little fun~”
You did, in fact, have fun
Tumblr media
Sanji- missionary (i would say oral, but i didn’t want it to be too similar to luffys, and hes a classic romantic guy)
- you two were alone on the ship, the crew should’nt be back for another hour or so, and Franky trusted you two enough for this task
- but that damn unstable flooring- Franky was out now getting supplies to fix the hole  luffy someone put in the floor- but you’d totally forgot it was there
“hey Sanji, love, could yOUU OH SHIT-”
“Y/N” he tried to catch you, but was too late with his footing, and fell in on top of you
“Sanji get up, i need to do the laundry..” you could tell he wasn’t listening. you doubted he was alive right now, face buried in your neck, dick hardening against your clothed pussy- oh god he couldn’t stop thinking about it now-
“Ma Belle.. you look so beautiful like this..” he lifts his head out of your neck, hands going straight to your boobs
“S-Sanji! we can do that in bed! just get us o-” your cut off by you two moaning in unison as he grinds against you
“Mon amour, allow me to indulge myself..” oh, he did.
Tumblr media
Law- cowgirl
-Similar to Luffy, you were trapped by a pirate gang, who put you two in an actual sea-prism box and left you for dead
- now in the middle of the woods in a box, you’re stuck with your now pissed off captain
You go to push up on the box, causing you to push down on him- he’s laying down with his lanky knees uncomfortably bent, and you’re sitting on his lap, though there’s not much room, so your tits are practically smothering him
“Y/N..” he groans, grabbing your hips to rut up into you
“Captain! W-we need to get out of here” but really, who were you to deny him? you’re already going in for a kiss, moaning in his mouth as he move his hand under your skirt to toy with your clothed clit, sucking on your tongue.
wow, he’s pulling out all the stops. he must be real horny
“Law! NO! we need to get out of here and beat up those guys!” you pull back from him suddenly. leaving him pouting, but he sits up as much as he can to assess the situation.
after some struggling, your crew comes with the key and frees you two (thank god, you almost gave in)
but judging by what he was whispering to you in that box, you’re in for it tonight.

Hello! I saw your post you're open for a request and I was wondering if I could I have OPLA Sanji?
About Sanji fall in love towards reader but reader was hesitate and unsure if Sanji is being sincere it's like she's having trust issues since Sanji is considered a ladies' man or flirty and was afraid he'll broke her heart?
Tumblr media
A/N IMPORTANT:  Hey, thank you for your request Anon ! I had to confess that it was kind of a hard one for me because well...trust issu hit close from home and I just start to write that angst even if it was not my specialty, but I really like the result and I hope you will too !
Trust Issues
OPLA - Vinsmoke Sanji
Sanji / OPLA Masterlist and Coming Soon
* English is not my first language, I tried really hard to correct myself but, I hope you will excuse me if some mistakes are still there.
Love wasn’t your cup of tea. Sure, the idea of a partner supporting and adoring you like you deserve was cute. But, in your opinion, you have already done enough. After all, your last relationship has resulted as becoming a pirate and being abandoned by your lover to save his ass. And, If the humiliation hadn’t been enough, not long after your escape for the marines, you had seen him parading with his new lady wrapped around his arm. Like if you hadn’t existed at all.
So, nobody could blame you if you had some trust issues and an aversion for ladie’s man.
It’s why you knew the minute you saw his smile what Vinsmoke Sanji was : A pretty flirt.
If it was only you, you had refused his presence on the ship, but, like Luffy had said, the Going Merry needed a cook and the man was a hell of a fighter. As the morning came, you couldn’t also deny the fact that he looked incredibly good in his suit, his bag on his shoulder, ready to come aboard. Smiling at the instant he spotted you.
“ Hello Madam, I'm glad we met again. Can I say that you seem even more beautiful in this sunlight” He offered, from the dock, as you were sitting on the main deck rail adjusting a rope.
“ You may, but it doesn't mean I will accept the compliment. Luffy is on the upper deck if you search him” You coldly replied, trying to shut down your traitor heart. You will not fall for another pretty face, never.
“ I didn’t expect much Madam, thank you for the information “ Sanji replied, his mood in nothing affected by your coldness. Sure, he had hoped for a warmer welcome, but after serving you the night before and found himself unable to turn his gaze away from your beauty. He was satisfied with just being part of the same crew as you, the rest would come later he had assumed.
It took, in fact, way longer than he first thought. For the entire few weeks he had been on board, you hadn’t looked or talked to him except to thank him for the food or urgent matters.
Many times, the crew had tried to talk to you, asking you to be more nice with Sanji. But, even if you could feel his charm often softened your shield, your stubbornness was even stronger.
It wasn’t easy for Sanji either. He knew you clearly disliked him without knowing why. When, on his part, the more he was admiring you, watching you laugh with the others, hearing your brilliant plan, watching you gracefully climb the cordage and being as stubborn as him. Make him love you even more. Everyday, he was trying to charm you, offering you compliments, taking an interest in what you were doing or simply making you the best food he could. But, nothing worked, you answered him quickly and as coldly as always.
It'll take another two months and a storm before Sanji has enough.
The rain was falling for hours,helped by a wind so strong that you had to close one of the sails to avoid drifting away. Each two hours or so, the members of the crew were making a rotation, trying as much as possible to not fatigue themself too much and end up falling into the water.
You were the only one still standing, drenched by the cold rain, your muscles sore by the force necessary to keep the helm stable. Multiple times Nami and Usopp had tried to push you to take a rest or at least eat something warm, but each time you refused resolutely, you would pass that storm and rest after.
Meanwhile in the kitchen, Sanji was finishing his soup, preparing three bowls for the crew member who will come downstairs to take their rest. As he prepared himself for going upstairs, doing his part, the blond chef saw Nami and Usopp going down the stairs, alone. You aren’t with them, again.
“ Where Y/N ” He asked, already knowing the answer.
“ She refuses to budge of the helm. we tried to talk to her but it’s like talking to a rock” Nami replied, wrapping herself in a big towel.
“ I’ll come back, I will bring her here “ Sanji only replied, his happy mood now sour. It wasn’t rare in the time who’s he was running the restaurant with Zeff that he lost his temper. He had lost it already a time or two during battle, but against another member of the crew,it was a first.
Making his way to the helm, he looked at you, already knowing it will not be easy. But, to be sure you’re in security, he was ready to fight you if he had to.
“ Y/N, your time has long passed, I will replace you. I prepared a dry towel and warm soup in the kitchen. Go take some rest “ He first tried.
“ I’m not tired or hungry “ You simply replied with your gaze focused on the horizon.
“ Then I’m afraid I have to excuse myself Darling “ Profiting from an adjustment of your position, he then proceeds to lift you on his shoulder, easily dodging all your attacks, as he was getting you down in the ship to dry both of you.
“ How dare you ! “ You scream, shaking of rage and cold. As he sits you on one of the kitchen stools and throws a dry towel at you. “ I was perfectly fine !”
“ You were on a trip to catch death ! “Sanji replied sharply, his gaze dark and his wet form in a stiff posture with anger “ I don’t know what I exactly did to make you dislike me like that, but I can care for you if you do some stupid things like that ! “
“ Then just don’t care about me and go flirt somewhere else !!” You angrily answered.
Taken aback, Sanji tilted his head, frowning his eyebrow, clearly confused.
“ Wait…what…You dislike me…because I flirted with you ?“ He slowly asked, trying to understand your point.
“ I just don’t understand why you haven't given up yet ! I had already done with the damn flirty kind, go charm your other ladies and leave me alone ! “
" My other…” Sanji starts disbelief. “ I don’t give up because I care for you…stubborn woman! " Sanji tried to say. Never had he thought that it was his manner that you hated so much. " But if my affection isn't required, fine, eat and rest, that's all I ask " He sighs ,disappearing upstairs.
A long and heavy silence fell in the kitchen after he left, leaving you with a curiously heavy heart and some concerned  gaze of Nami and Usopp eating their soup. After a while, you sigh, defeated and take yourself a bowl. As always, the dish was perfectly balanced and delicious.
" You know y/n...I know your story, I understand, I do.  But…Sanji didn't flirt with any woman aside from you for months…I think he genuinely likes you, " Nami softly spoke. "Of course I'm not you and you have all the right to act like you do, but it’s not Sanji's fault. He’s not him… and I think the day he will stop caring for you, you will realize it’s will be maybe too late”.
“ Maybe “ You admit, finishing your food before leave it into the sink and heading to the door” I will sleep a little, wake me up when it will be our turn again please “
But she never woke you up and when you opened your eyes, the sun was shining again on another day.
Sanji wasn’t the kind of man who'd give up easily, neither on his dream nor on the people he loved. But, even with his flirty tendency, respecting women and their wishes was a priority. It’s why, even if it cost him and that your word had wounded him, on that sunny day, he started to restrict at the minimum his attention to you.
And you noticed it immediately. His gaze on you, usually full of affection, was now more distant, he didn’t ask you if you had slept well, nor if you would like something in particular for breakfast, he simply put an omelet in front of you, smiled politely and returned to his occupation. Yes, for Sanji it was odd, but, as a ladie’s man you give him a week before going back to his old habit.
Luckily for you, life decided to give both of you a hand.
Your estimation could never be more wrong. After two weeks of polite but cold Sanji, you were almost wishing you never had that fight. Your traitor heart was missed his radiant smile toward you, his compliments for every little detail of your person or the way he  tried to know every one of your favorite things. But you had broken it and you were now unsure how to repair it. Excuse could probably do the charm, but your stubbornness was always blocking you, estimating that protecting your heart wasn't shameful.
The Going Merry was anchored alongside an island, doing his needed resupply. As the last barrel had been brought on board, you followed the idea of Zoro and decided to join your companions for a drink at the little bar on the beach.
But, as you put your foot in the small place, you froze, your mind resuming to a static white noise. Your ex, already another lady at his arm, was installed with his crew at the largest table of the little tavern.
“ Hey Y/N come here, that table is free ! “ Luffy exclaimed, not noticing your stiffness.
“ Y/N is that you ! Damn girl, I haven't seen you since you were surrounded by Marines ! I own you for this one, how did you escape ?! “ The despicable man shouted, clearly more happy to see you, than you were to see him. “ Darla, that girl was... my most loyal crew member. “He explained to the girl at his side “Look at you, have you always been that pretty ? “
The compliment was the last straw that snapped you out of your shock. How could he talk to you so casually after all you had endured because of him. Doesn’t he have an ounce of regret or shame ?!
“ I escaped on my own after you had cowardly abandoned me ! “ You replied, as Sanji placed himself behind you, placing a hand on your shoulder in support.
“ Y/N, that man clearly doesn’t deserve your time, come, the drink will arrive soon” He tried, giving a hard look at the pathetique Captain who was now coming a you, his hand scratching his hair, gauging if Sanji was a menace for his future plan with you or not.
“ Not deserving of his time, I had already two years of her time mate, go sip your beer and let us discuss. Y/N and I have many things to talk about. I haven’t abandoned her, I knew she could escape, she’s a smart cat. Aren't you Sweet pea”
“ I have nothing to say to you, thank you Sanji but I’m not in the mood. Being in the same room as him would suck all the joy I have. I will be on the ship. “ You simply replied, making your exit before tears ran down your cheeks.
Sat on the upper deck, watching the night sky, the fresh wind drying your last tears, you saw Sanji came back onboard. Without a word, he simply sat beside you and offered you the bottle he was keeping in his hand.
“ Zoro sent his regards and I’m here to tell you that I’m sorry. I had tried to respect your wish, but I couldn’t stop myself tonight. I can’t not care for you and that man was...he shouldn’t ever treat a lady as you like that. Maybe now he had learn “
“ Sanji, what did you do? “ You asked, strangely touched that he had actually take your defense even after you had left.
“ I kicked his pathetic and disgraceful ass. I couldn’t tolerate the way he was looking at you, talking to you...But I understand now how my behavior led you to dislike me when I arrived, But I assure you that…”
“ I know, “ You said your heart, still fragile, beating faster.” You aren’t him and I should have waited to know you. I was scared, I didn’t want to like you because I was afraid to repeat the same story. But even if I tried, I realize when you had stop to caring for me that I miss it, I missed you…a lot“
Suddenly unusually shy, his cheeks a slightly shade of faded pink in the dark, Sanji avoided your gaze, a joyful smile spreading on his lips.
“ I suggest that we start over. We can't forget all those months but we can restart our relationship.I can’t wait to truly know you Y/N” He tell, finally planting in gaze in yours, that lost spackles in his eyes, the one you though forever vanish, back even brighter that ever.
“ I can’t wait too, Sanji “ You softly smile.
___
Your first kiss with Sanji happened a little shorter than a month later. At exactly the same spot.
Since that night, you have made a habit of watching the sky together, sharing stories, passions and thoughts. Even if the blond cook, not without surprise, seems to find the constellation less appealing than your sweet view at his side. But, you slowly adapted yourself to his flirting and even often replied, to his joy.
It was in one of those moments, as you turned your head to point to him a group of stars that Sanji captured your lips, answering your heart's deepest desire from months and even probably since the tall man had put a foot on the deck.
Somewhere on the lower level of the ship, you hear the playful screams and wolf whistles of your friends. But, as he captured your lips for another kiss you couldn't care less. You had an amazing group of friends, the sea was peaceful and with the help of Sanji, your heart finally started to heal.

I think it's interesting how Philza's lore seems to be portraying his fatal flaw to be hubris or greed, meanwhile the actual sword I see above his head is his complete undying loyalty in the people he cares about.
This got long so I'm putting my explanation under the cut
There's also Luffy. Phil had only met Luffy twice as far as I'm aware, only knew Luffy a matter of hours. But in that time decided he cared about Luffy enough to fight not one, but two very dangerous groups. Because he saw that Luffy was in danger and needed to be protected, he was willing to put himself in danger.
Like his conclusion that Forever is possessed, yes we know that it's accurate. But the fact that Phil came to that conclusion so quickly and stuck to it? Without even seeing Forever? Shows how much he trusts Forever, he literally couldn't fathom Forever hurting Tallulah on his own. He needed another explanation. And Phil has already shown that he won't give up on helping Forever, he's not willing to. He snapped at Tubbo for even suggesting it, and the only other time Phil got that pissed is when Wilbur accused him of not caring the eggs were missing.
Hell, the thing that practically kick-started Philza's lore? That started his downward spiral? The birdhouse incident? Happened because Phil saw a chance at helping his kids. He followed all the directions in a mysterious book, went to a secondary location with little to no resources without telling anyone, something he would normally never do, just to see his kids again.
If Philza's downfall is going to be caused by anything, it won't be by greed or hubris, it'll be his unflinching loyalty to the people he cares about.

there's just something so inherently poetic and romantic about zoro's devotion to luffy during all of wano that makes me go completely insane.
he sees luffy for the first time in like a week, which might not seem much but for them, who are used to feeling each other's presence all the time and did not have a good experience with being separated, it's torture to not be together. so of course they go all happy, kicking their feet and blushing when they reunite. then his captain is like "hey, this is tama. tama is our friend now" and zoro takes it extremely seriously and protects that random kid he has no connection to because luffy says so and, well, because she's just a kid and everything, but still i think zoro instantly accepting to adopt tama is really cute.
zoro acts like luffy's enabler during this arc, because his captain might do the most impulsive and reckless shit, and the dude will support him to death. even when he's just competing against kid and law to see who's stronger (or the dumbest), luffy is the most serious he's ever been here. of course, zoro has some moments of "okay, gotta stop this idiot" but it turns out zoro is fucking stupid too, and getting into a fight in the middle of a party while you look for your captain is just,,, so them.
and all of this is just silly moments that make you think "oh, okay, zoro is whipped, yes. we already knew that". but then he pulls the most romantic and poetic things we've ever witnessed in anime history and honestly, i fucking lose it every time he does things like this.
drake goes to them and asks if he can be on their side (btw dude could have just told luffy he knew koby somehow but okay) and zoro instantly goes 'protective first mate' mode and says "haha no the fuck you're not. disloyal people are the worst and you'll always be like that. once you betray someone there's no going back" which is something i love about zoro because, even if from his perspective drake was actually a member of kaido's crew and they're supposed to be the bad guys, zoro respects loyalty so fucking much that he doesn't care whose side are you on as long as you have your priorities and beliefs on the right place. i find that beautiful, especially knowing what comes next.
zoro is gifted a sword that theoretically could cut hell, to then being then perceived as the king of hell for the same reason, and then actually going to the battlefield and referring to it as hell itself because they're fighting to death against two emperors and saying "if you're sending our captain to hell, you'll have to take me with him" because he would quite literally go to hell for luffy. and then the guy goes and tells law "hey, this is going to hurt like a bitch and i might probably die. if that happens, you know, just take care of the rest because luffy trusts you too" and he goes and awakens his conqueror's haki without even meaning to and not even giving a single fuck when kaido tells him because his only ambition and will at the moment is protecting luffy and fighting for him. that, and also the countless times he saves luffy without hesitation during this fight, which are too much to remember but i swear every time he gets in between one of kaido's attacks and luffy, my heart does a backflip and i die. and also, the gentleness in which zoro treats luffy when he can't fight. the way he protects him when luffy puts all of his undying trust on zoro. they make me go wild.
the fact that luffy is constantly saying in this fight (and always, of course) that he's going to be the pirate king and showing it clearly with all of his parallelisms to roger, and then zoro pulling things that make him quite obviously the king of hell, just makes the whole "captain and first mate" thing seem so little for what they actually are. because we have 3 different couples of this kind in this story, and nobody compares to these two, because they're not just a captain and his first mate, they're literally kings. and i haven't watched more (i'm on episode 1030 if you're curious, uta time!) but i'm so excited to see how this develops. especially knowing the religious undertones behind whatever the fuck gear fifth is supposed to be (except for a lil cute and powerful af looney tune).

TRAFALGAR LAW HC: POISON
I've always felt like Law is someone who's both cautious and batshit crazy. Which is why I headcanon that Law has a habit of lacing poison in his food or drink so that his body will grow immune to any possible poison
its a habit he developed ever since he was a kid. c'mon, he's the same kid who posed with a dissected/dead frog in a class picture for goodness sake
Law is definitely someone who'd poison himself for medicine and science!
(...and maybe for shits and laughs too)
And honestly? I'm pretty convinced that Law would definitely find a way to take away the fatality of the Amber Lead Disease from his system but kept the poison so that his body would grow even more immune including against poisons that he'd never encounter before too
Hell, i think he'd even find a way to make his blood poisonous too to the point that he can both poison someone with his blood or use it to kill viruses/diseases from the inside with blood transfusion. In a way, it's like a big 'screw you' to the world government now that he can wield his once fatal disease into a weapon
anyways, there's only a selected few besides his crew that knows this habit of his. Of course, Luffy is one of them
both because Law trusts Luffy and because he had to explain why he wont die from eating a poison mushroom to a panicking Luffy
and since he's a sadistic bastard, Law would sometimes tease his bratty lover by eating poisonous things in front of Luffy just to see the younger captain get flustered despite the fact that Luffy already knows that Law is immune to every poison imaginable by now
it may or may not also be a weird way for Law to flirt too
...what? he cant help it if he likes Luffy's reactions a little too much, okay? it's adorable

Nika reincarnated and the King of Hell.
I don’t know how many of you are Zelda fans but Luffy being the sun god Nika could go crazy hard with the Skyward Sword storyline.
For those of you who have not played Skyward sword no worries I’m changing enough of the plot it won’t matter to much
Let’s say there is the legend of Nika. A legend pass down of the sun god who came to earth to liberate slaves and return joy and freedom to the world.
Most of the texts has been lost but the oral tradition keeps the story alive. However it is not a totally accurate account.
They tell the story of Nika’s exploits on Earth. Including his help from other gods/angels/deities.
But the most famous tale is the story of Nika’s fight with the King of Hell. The fight to free the people of this world. Nika was able to seal away the King of Hell but was fatally wounded as a result of the fight.
However the truth version this tale had been lost to time. The current version is missing quite a lot of detail. Including the fact that Nika, perhaps knowing he would be needed again or just wanting to be with his friends and loved ones once more, sacrificed his immortality so that his soul could reincarnate as a human.
Thousands of years later Luffy is born.
After Luffy unlocks Gear 5 he starts to get these weird visions or feelings. It starts out while he’s sleeping but he’s starting to get them while he’s awake. It’s starting to worry the crew. One minute he will be standing there talking to them and then the next his eyes are locked on the horizon, but they aren’t really seeing anything and he’s not responding to their calls.
It’s only for short periods of time, and Luffy tries to brush them off with the crew, but he’s really starting to freak out. Because he’s seeing things that he does not remember happening.
When they arrive on the next island Luffy gets separated from the others. Maybe a cult follower of Nika. Maybe an old friend, someone who already remembers their past life with Nika and is here to help Luffy as he unlocks his memories. (Maybe Shanks or Sabo, someone Luffy would willingly go with and trust them when they say his crew will be fine)
Meanwhile, while Luffy is going on a journey of self discovery, the crew is losing their minds
Specifically Zoro. He’s been having weird dreams since Enies Lobby when he unlocked his Asura form for the first time. They were few and far between but they always freaked him out because why was he fighting Luffy in those dreams?
It’s been getting worse since he’s had Enma. Every night since picking up that sword he’s been having weird dreams. Something that used to happen once a month at most is now a nightly occurrence. And then when he unlocked the title King of Hell he started getting them in the day. And he’s starting to freak out. Because he’s starting to remember their previous lives. But nothing makes sense. There are some memories where Zoro?Asura? and Luffy?Nika? Seem to act like they do now, there are some memories where they seem closer (memories that make his cheeks burn) but there are also memories where they seem to be at each others throats and fighting to the death. But that seems to be only one memory, the one memory that won’t leave him alone.
And he’s been wondering for weeks if Luffy has been remembering to. If the pauses where he zones out are actually him being plaguing by visions to. But he’s to scared to ask, because what if the only memory Luffy has of past Zoro is them fighting? Or what if Luffy isn’t seeing visions and Zoro is just crazy?
And now Luffy has gone missing and they need to find him but they keep getting to him to late. Luffy’s moved on to the next temple, next location, and they are always just a step behind their captain.
(Note other crew members are remembering things from their past lives as well. I haven’t placed them all yet but they were definitely around with Nika in the past. Now what roll they played is up for debate. A different god/ one of Nika’s angels/ or just a person who was loyal to Nika in the past, someone he liked enough to tie them to his soul when it reincarnated.)
Once they reunite Luffy and Nika have fully merged. The crew can tell he’s different. But they don’t have long to talk. Something is coming. Whatever happened in the past is about to come again and Nika has to hold it off until the crew is ready to fight. (Till they remember what he does) he goes to do this but swears to them that no matter what happens or what they remember he’s still their captain, he’s still their Luffy.
And the he’s gone again. Somewhere they can’t follow this time. Not until they remember. Not until their enemy is defeated.
As they go on their quest they all start to remember different parts of the story. Which could lead to one of them (probably Sanji) remembering the final fight between Asura and Nika. But he has no other context so it just lead to him and Zoro fighting because he thinks Zoro is their enemy or at least he used to work for him, because Asura dealt the fatal blow to Nika which started this reincarnation crap.
It isn’t until they put the whole story together that they find out Asura was possessed when he fought Nika. It was an unseeable betrayal because it wasn’t a betrayal. Once Asura delt the fatal blow to Nika he snapped out of it. He followed Nika’s decision to sacrifice his immortality in the hopes that they could be together again.
The main enemy is probably Imu. An ancient deity who Nika sealed the powers of long ago. Enough time has passed that the deal has weakened and that is way Luffy has to hold the seal while his crew gets their memories back.
I love Zelda and I think this could be a lot of fun taking elements of both skyward sword and Tears of the kingdom to make it work.
Obviously the whole crew had their roles in the past life. So did Ace, Sabo, Shanks and others
I kinda like the idea of Shanks being Luffy’s guide to his memories while his crew runs interference with the Strawhats. One of the great parts of Skyward swords story is your always a step behind Zelda and Impa never lets you forget that you were to slow to save her. That if Impa wasn’t there Zelda would be dead, and Link would have been to slow and weak to stop it. The idea of Shanks crew (and maybe Mihawk) taunting the Strawhats with the fact that they are to slow or weak to protect their captain has a lot of drama to it. Luffy’s safe, Shanks’ wouldn’t let anything happen to him, but the fact that they (the Strawhats) are to slow to help him over and over has to hurt.
This could also work really well with Sabo in this position. Sabo helping Luffy with his memories while Dragon taunts the crew.
I also love the idea that for centuries Asura was blamed for Nika’s death and Zoro and the crew learning about it with no context. Zoro would lose his mind at just the idea that he could ever be the one responsible for killing Luffy in a past life. Of course it’s not the full truth as they later find out but that moment would be awesome.
Let me know what you guys think. I want to all about this more.

It’s funny how the entire trajectory of one’s life could be completely and utterly changed by a singular event. A chance encounter with a living whirlwind, a sunbeam in human form. An extended hand and bright, brown eyes that sparkled with the promise of an adventure and despite himself, Zoro was utterly captivated.
“I’m gonna be King of the Pirates!” Luffy, the kid who saved him without a thought for himself, without even knowing him, declared with utmost conviction, as if it were a fact, already set in stone. “I need a strong crew, the best of the best! And you’re amazing, Zoro!” A huge, toothy smile split across his freckled face and his eyes crinkled at the corners. “I want you to be my first mate. Let’s help each other achieve our dreams!”
And it’s with the idea of pursuing his dream alongside someone this dazzling and so wholly determined that Zoro, the pirate-killer, the bounty-hunter, a man of self-imposed solitude, grasps Luffy’s outstretched hand in his own, catalogs the warmth of his sun-kissed skin, and swears his swords and his loyalty.
Just like that, Zoro finds himself whisked away to sea, sailing the East Blue with Luffy at the ship’s bow and their 3rd member, Nami, at the helm.
“She’s our crew’s navigator, the best there’ll ever be!” Luffy had announced by way of introductions, tipping his straw hat and throwing Zoro an enthusiastic thumbs-up.
“Not part of your crew,” Nami replied firmly while crossing her arms. The sleeve of her shirt shifted with the movement and a bandage wrapped around her right arm peeked from underneath the fabric. “Just hitching a ride.”
“I know,” Luffy said with a knowing wink and a winning smile. Zoro eyed Nami with some suspicion, but he could tell that Luffy had already made up his mind to trust her, and he wouldn’t question his captain.
It didn’t take long for Luffy to secure the fourth member of the crew: Usopp, an incredible sniper and an even worse liar. Zoro’s eyebrow twitched every time he called himself “Captain Usopp”, but along with Usopp came the Going Merry, and Luffy finally had his ship. Zoro would let Usopp spin all the tall tales he wanted as long as Luffy was happy.
The sun is high in the cloudless sky now as they skim over calm ocean waters. Zoro reclines against the ship’s wooden railing, nurses a bottle of beer and kicks his feet up. He contemplates taking a nap when he catches sight of Luffy, perched atop the sheep’s head of the Going Merry and basking in the sunshine. He holds his straw hat in his lap and hums a jovial tune as the salted breeze tussles his brown curls in a way that has Zoro feeling short of breath.
Luffy turns like he feels the weight of Zoro’s gaze and meets his eyes. He smiles, bright and warm like a ray of sun. Beautiful, is what Zoro thinks, as he sends up a silent prayer to the gods he doesn’t believe in that he would be deserving of such an expression, quietly devoting himself to his captain as his first mate, as his sword, as anything Luffy wanted him to be.
I’ll become the world’s greatest fucking swordsman, he vows with rekindled resolve, his hand a tight fist around the hilt of his sword. Whatever it takes.
Zoro is tested much sooner than expected, when only days later he, Nami, and Usopp are confronted by Dracule Mihawk, one of seven Warlords of the Sea, a man that Zoro simultaneously idolizes and strives to surpass. As Mihawk tersely questions their captain’s whereabouts, Zoro unsheaths his sword and points the tip at Mihawk’s chest.
“I, Roronoa Zoro, challenge you to a duel.”
“Zoro,” Nami hisses, her expression tense. “Please, don’t do this.”
Mihawk looks him up and down with eyes full of contempt and scoffs. “I don’t waste my time with children.”
“I’ve followed your career since I was a child,” Zoro doesn’t waver, adrenaline pumping in his veins and blood rushing in his ears. “And it’s my dream to be a greater swordsman than even you.”
One of Mihawk’s perfectly manicured eyebrows raises inquisitively as he stares at Zoro for a moment before nodding once. “Fine,” he says, “I’ll humor you, because you’ve piqued my interest, Roronoa Zoro. We’ll meet at dawn, and do try your best not to disappoint me.” He turns and strides away with a flutter of his dark cloak and disappears into the night.
“Why did you have to do that?!” Nami’s voice shakes with anger. “He’s going to kill you!”
Zoro sheaths his sword and looks to Nami. Her cheeks are flushed and her eyes are filled with apprehension.
“It’s a chance at my dream,” he says with conviction. Nami glares at him. “And why do you even care?”
“Why do I–” Nami sputters, and punches his arm hard. “Because you’re my friend, you idiot! I’m telling Luffy about this!”
She storms off and Usopp follows quickly, but not before he casts an apprehensive glance at Zoro, in agreement with Nami but afraid to speak his opinion.
Luffy will understand, Zoro thinks, and the idea provides him a modicum of comfort. Out of everyone, he knows his captain will understand because they’re the same. It’s what drew Zoro to him so easily; that unbreakable spirit and unshakable resolve. It might’ve also been the beaming smiles that sometimes seemed to be just for him, or maybe those big, sparkling brown eyes that only ever looked at him with adoration. He made Zoro want to be better, to be the best; he’d do anything to make his captain proud and dueling Dracule Mihawk was only the first step.
The hours seem to crawl. Zoro doesn’t sleep, choosing instead to cycle between meditation and polishing his swords, clearing his mind and steeling his nerves up until his crewmates barge into the room with only a few minutes remaining before dawn.
“Okay, now tell him to back out of the duel, Luffy!” Nami demands.
Luffy looks a little unsure, glancing back and forth between Zoro and Nami and biting his lip. “I’m not sure this is such a good idea, Zoro,” he says finally, pushing his hat back to scratch at his forehead, an anxious movement as he’s suddenly forced to make a decision as captain.
“I have to,” Zoro says, a bit desperately as he holds Luffy’s gaze. “To achieve my dream, I have to do this.” Understand me, Captain, is his silent plea.
At that, Luffy’s hesitant expression shifts into one of comprehension, and he immediately straightens his posture and nods firmly. “I’ll support you, Zoro,” he states resolutely.
It’s like a weight is lifted from his shoulders, and Zoro’s devotion grows ever deeper. His captain was at his side, and nothing else mattered.
Nami makes a noise of protest and her eyes begin to well up with tears. “Luffy, why?”
“I can’t get in the way of someone else’s dream, Nami.”
“Even if that dream will get him killed?!”
“Zoro is strong,” Luffy says simply, causing Zoro’s heart to skip a beat.
“I won’t let you down,” Zoro promises, as time runs out and the sun begins to peek over the horizon.
“I know,” Luffy replies with a reassuring smile and a confident gleam in his eyes, believing entirely in his first mate and filling Zoro with a fiery determination. He picks up his swords, ties his bandana around his head, and marches outside to the docks where Dracule Mihawk awaits.
“Ah, you actually showed up,” Mihawk says dully, looking rather bored. “Bravo.”
Zoro says nothing. He stands before Mihawk and pulls out his swords, biting down on the hilt of one and the other two in each hand.
The duel is quick. Zoro breathes heavily, Mihawk’s dagger in his shoulder and blood trailing down his arm to drip from his fingertips. He hears Nami cry out and Usopp gasps. Luffy makes no sound but watches him with wide eyes, features drawn with apprehension.
“Why don’t you retreat?” Mihawk questions, looking pointedly at the wound he’d created.
“If I do,” Zoro says through gritted teeth, “My dream will be lost forever.”
Mihawk hums appreciatively and pulls the knife from Zoro’s shoulder with a wet schlick. “Not bad, Roronoa Zoro,” he says, and a metallic ring echoes in the quiet of the morning as he unsheathes his greatsword from the holster on his back. “I believe you deserve to die by Yoru.”
Zoro rushes him, but his attack is parried easily; Yoru slices into his skin and ends him flying backwards. Two of Zoro’s swords shatter, leaving him only Wado Ichimonji, which he removes from his mouth to grasp firmly in his hand, standing despite his injuries.
“You’ve been defeated,” Mihawk says, “Why do you still fight?”
“Wounds on the back are a swordsman’s greatest shame,” Zoro responds honestly.
“Magnificient,” Mihawk murmurs.
Zoro opens his arms wide and closes his eyes as Yoru slashes across his chest, throwing him onto his back as blood pours from the gaping cut and pools around him, soaking into his shirt.
I’m sorry, Luf, is the only thought in his mind as his senses are wracked with pain and his vision fades to black. He thinks he hears Luffy cry out his name, but it’s faint under the ringing in his ears. Mihawk’s blurred silhouette stands above him, and it might be the blood loss, but he thinks he catches a gleam of respect in his enemy’s eyes.
“When you’re stronger, come and find me,” Mihawk says quietly, before he turns towards Luffy, who’s already running past him to drop to his knees at Zoro’s side, and Zoro’s focus shifts to where his captain’s warm hands touch his cheek, his arm, his chest, burning hotter than the pain in his body. It grounds him for just a moment, and he opens his eyes to meet his captain’s, huge and round and glistening with unshed tears.
Don’t cry for me, he silently begs, I don’t deserve it. I failed.
“Luffy.” Zoro’s voice is solemn, penitent. “If I fail to become the world’s greatest swordsman, you’ll be disappointed in me.”
“Never,” Luffy says immediately, and he leans forward to press his forehead to Zoro’s, balling his fists in his blood soaked shirt. “You could never disappoint me, Zoro.”
Zoro briefly considers what might happen if he were to tilt his head and catch Luffy’s lips, which were so, so close, in a kiss, and he blames the intrusive thought on blood loss induced delirium, before his vision goes black and he fades to nothing.
It’s dark outside when he comes to, without any idea of the time or day. He blinks to clear his eyes and gathers his bearings. He’s lying on a firm cot, the laceration to his chest has been cleaned and bandaged, and the pain is down to a dull sting. There’s a soft blanket around his upper body, and he can see Wado Ichimonji propped up against the opposite wall. His head throbs and right hand is asleep, prickling uncomfortably. He tries to move it, and hears someone shift beside him. He turns his head and catches his breath at the sight of Luffy. His captain’s hand is wrapped tightly around his own even as he stirs from his slumber, his hat around his neck and his brown locks sticking to the side of his face, and Zoro wonders how long he’s been sitting there, waiting for him to wake up.
His heart aches at the thought, and he hates himself for causing Luffy any grief.
“Eh? Zoro?!” Luffy is suddenly wide awake, and he drops Zoro’s hand, choosing instead to hop up onto the cot and hover over Zoro on all fours, straddling his hips. “Zoro! How are you feeling? Are you okay?”
He’s always so warm, Zoro thinks, and as his right hand regains feeling he lifts it to stroke his captain’s flushed cheek.
“Barely a papercut,” he quips softly with a smile only ever for his captain. Luffy’s laugh rings like a bell, a pretty sound that Zoro will never tire of hearing, and he drops to wrap his arms around Zoro, burying his face in his neck. Zoro’s heart hammers behind his ribs and returns the embrace, barely registering the pain his movements induce to his very recent injuries and thinking only of how Luffy smells of sea salt and fresh air, and how perfectly he fits against him.
Luffy lifts himself onto his elbows and meets Zoro’s eyes, his own filled with conviction. “You’ll grow stronger for me,” he says quietly, confidently. “And you'll be the greatest swordsman ever.”
Zoro’s hands move of their own accord, sliding his fingers up Luffy’s neck and into his hair, and he marvels at its softness for a moment before he brings Luffy’s head down and kisses him gently.
Fuck, is his desperate thought as the contact lights a fire in his stomach and he suddenly needs more, craves it.
“Captain,” he breathes reverently, and Luffy’s lips are slightly chapped but pliant against his own as he kisses him again, tenderly, trying to hold himself back and failing miserably. Luffy hasn’t moved, but he hasn’t told Zoro to stop either, so Zoro kisses him yet again, even goes so far as to suck Luffy’s bottom lip into his mouth and swipe his tongue over his velvety skin. That seems to shock Luffy to his senses, as he makes a soft noise that Zoro swallows up and tentatively, awkwardly returns the pressure, like he’s not sure what he’s supposed to do, exactly.
The idea of being his captain’s first kiss sends a thrill up Zoro’s spine, and his fingers tangle in Luffy’s hair as he deepens the embrace, tilting his head and licking into Luffy’s mouth like he was dying of thirst and his captain was life-saving water, only breaking the contact to gasp for air.
Luffy looks down at him with twinkling eyes and Zoro’s heart aches, this time with adoration for his captain. He pulls Luffy down against him, wraps his arms around his waist, and buries his face in his curls.
“Now let me get some sleep,” he mutters, and Luffy chuckles against him, snuggling deeper into his chest and sighing contentedly. He’s asleep within seconds, his warm breath puffing against Zoro’s neck and if he wasn’t wounded, he might’ve done something about it, but instead he follows his captain's lead and lets sleep take him.

One Piece Relationship Headcannons
Content warning: Fluffy!!
Characters included: Luffy, Sanji, Ussop
Characters you can expect in other parts: Zoro, Law, Kid, Killer, Bartolomeo, Doflamingo, Crocodile, Buggy
Luffy
I feel like Luffy wouldn't know how to express his attraction and love for you properly. Like he loves you so much he can't physically express it the way he wants to.
He's definitely asking you if he can take your food instead of outright taking it. I can also see him offering you a LITTLE bit of his food.
Definitely gives amazing hugs
A very affectionate partner
Very blunt; doesn't matter whose around he will tell and possibly yell about how gorgeous/handsome/attractive you are.
I can see him doing this goofy little thing where he'll act like he's dying very poorly for your affection like:
"Oh noooooooo!" luffy shouts, clutching his chest; falling to the ground all in dramatic fashion. You snicker at the scene while the other straw hats continued on with what they were already doing. "I think..." he throws his hands to his forehead, palms facing the crystal clear sky. "...I think it dying!! If only...." The goofball coughs a few times too many. "[Name]!" He snaps his head to you when he says that, eyes wide, tounge hanging out. "You can save me! With a kiss! A couple of kisses and I'll be better instantly!!" Who are you to deny saving the life of your captain!? You trot right on over to him, lie on top of him and pecker his face with kisses.
Sanji
Over the top boyfriend!!
He loves you, he craves you, he adores you, he'll love you even more if you're a tad bit obsessive!!
Will love if you offer to help him cook, he loves instructing you!! Will make an amazing teacher if you want to learn to cook!
Showers you in gifts and words of affirmation, anything you do is amazing.
Hype man!!
He's a bit protective, but he trusts you entirely!!
Now when I say obsessive I don't mean it in the "I'll kill anyone for you" type of fashion. Sanji may be down bad but he isn't insane. This is what I mean:
Moments like these are what the both you crave; the ocean was calm and you guys were currently smooth sailing. You and Sanji laid together completely tangled on his bed in the male dorms. Smothering eachother in kisses and praise you cup his face. "I wish I could buy an island; kidnap you, and we could live together happily forever!" You beam and his face goes red. The fact that you basically admitted that you want to have a life with him warms his soul. AND HES THE REASON FOR YOUR HAPPINESS?!?! he'll eat that shit THE FUCK UP!!!!
Ussop:
Very flustered boyfriend
He knows exactly how he wants to show undying love to you but gets embarrassed or flustered and it never goes the way he plans. It adds to his dorky charm!!
I think he'd be constantly jealous, idunno my Usopp senses are tingling on that one
He loves to tell you stories!! Whether they're true or not.
Will tell you stories to sleep!!
Gets very defensive and will actually shoot at sanji whenever he makes a move on you
"[Name] SWAAAAAA~" The blond shouted from across the ship, running towards you with horrifying speed. It was hot as hell today, so you opted for a tank top and a pair of usopps shorts. "Hello to you too." You chuckle at his behavior, there were hearts bulgding from his eyes; literally drooling over you. "Sanji please...you know they're with Usopp, you KNOW Usopp doesn't like when you do this!!" Chopper shouts, medkit in hand; knowing how the situation was going to play out. "Sorry prince, I'm happily with Usopp; you can stop drooling over me now," You lazily smile. The blonde now on his knees banging on the ships floor dramatically shouts "What does that long nosed bastard have that I don't!! How did he manage to win your heart when I'M RIGHT HERE!!! This is-ACKK!" Sanji howls in pain as you notice rocks being shot at him. Not small rocks either, simular to an snowball. Ussop fires back to back everytime Sanji opens his mouth; only stopping when he's outta rocks. Ussop walks up to you, planting a big fat kiss on your left cheek, smiling. "I have [name], Sanji, you don't!" He retorts as Chopper quickly runs towards the1 bruised cook tensing to his injuries.
My writing is actually so bad I need to improve LMAO

You know we all meme about how Luffy doesn't give a shit about his parents/Dragon, how he seemingly has no interest in learning about the man or meeting him at all, and like yeah that is a Luffyism
And for a long time I figured Baby Luffy would be the same too; that Luffy in his naïvete just accepted he must've spawned from the ocean itself into Garp's care or something, not realizing he should in fact have parents, thus Luffy's seeming disinterest in them
But you know what
Luffy did spend most of his early childhood alone
Sure, he had Garp, but it seems like Garp wasn't always there to look after him every day, he had his duties as a Marine too. Had Garp been there 24/7 all year then Garp would never have allowed Luffy to interact with Shanks (a filthy pirate) to begin with. So yes, Luffy had his grandpa, but not all the time. And sure, Luffy also had Shanks, but Shanks didn't spend all his time in Fuusha Village either, he came and went whenever he pleased too until his final departure when Luffy was just six years old. And yes, there was everyone else in the village too, people who cared about Luffy and were helping look after him. But Luffy's early childhood was one without a stable family.
It wasn't until Garp yeeted the child into Dadan's care that Luffy actually gained a proper family, where after months and months of trying Luffy managed to win Ace's trust and gained Sabo as a brother too. But as we know, by that point Luffy already hated being alone
Tumblr media
All of this to say; Luffy growing up essentially orphaned would explain why he's so afraid to be alone, the way he clings onto people
In some ways Luffy's POV is meant to be the reader's POV, to some degree Luffy's feelings and thoughts are meant to be how we the readers feel and think about whaveter is happening in the story. Not a 100% by any means, but somewhat at the very least.
Perhaps Luffy's lack of interest in Dragon isn't just "Luffy not giving a damn about blood family because chosen families are better" nor "Luffy is too stupid to understand where babies come from". Perhaps Luffy, who may have assumed he didn't have parents at all (as in "might've assumed they were dead or had intentionally abandoned him"), doesn't know what to think about the fact that he does have a father out there, one whom he has never as much as met. Because yeah, Luffy doesn't know why Dragon left him with Garp, why he never got to be with his dad. Should he be angry at Dragon, hate him for being left alone? Or did Dragon have a good reason for it, does Dragon wish things could've been different?
Perhaps Luffy's seeming disinterest in Dragon isn't because he doesn't care about blood family, but because much like us the readers, Luffy doesn't quite know what to make of Dragon, and figuring those feelings out hasn't been relevant to the plot yet.

Okay so seeing that y'all went wild for my silly idea about Sanji having a tattoo motivated me enough to keep writing about it😊 fair warning, it's not beta read and it's been a while since i wrote that much. I hope you enjoy it anyways 🙈 (this part is mostly Zoro being stupid)
The shitty cook has a tattoo. At least Zoro is 99% sure he has one. And not knowing doesn't drive him crazy at all, thank you very much.
He first caught a glimpse of it when the cook changed his clothes shortly after joining their crew. From the corner of his eye and with the cook quickly turning his body away, he first thought it was just another bruise on his ribs but later he thought it looked too perfect to be one. And thus he started his mission of 'Finding out if the shitty Cook has a tattoo and why'. Sure the blond man was no saint but a tattoo still didn't seem to fit someone who almost exclusively wore suits. Maybe it was done in a misguided attempt of rebellion during his teen years? No the lovesick potato peeler was too prissy to do that. Unfortunately he was also really secretive about the tattoo and the fact that it was right on his chest made it very hard to catch another glimpse without having to undress the cook first. Not that Zoro wanted to do that.
He considered asking Luffy or literally anyone else about it, seeing as they were closer to the glorified waiter than he was. Sure they were not exactly best friends or arch nemesis but he still wished they were closer sometimes. Only for the sake of asking the cook about the tattoo of course, nothing more. His mission almost became an obsession over the next weeks, always trying to find a way of getting the cook to loose his shirt or trying to get a glimpse of his chest while he was changing.
He tried "accidentally" spilling some of his food on the Cook's shirt, that earned him a swift kick to the head and a lecture about not wasting food.
He tried slicing the cook's shirt during one of their sparring matches, that earned him some more fierce kicks and a lost fight.
He hoped to see it when they came along an island and Luffy decided they just have a lazy beach day, the cook wore a stupid undershirt and didn't even take it off for swimming.
He tried asking the cook straightforward in a moment of drunk weakness, it earned him a grin and a "Wouldn't you like to know, marimo" in a tone that definetly did not make his insides feel weird.
In another moment of drunk weakness he played with the idea of just walking over to the shitty cook, pinning him against the nearest surface and just ripping open his stupid shirt. That one took some alone time in the bathroom and a cold shower to get rid off.
Why was the cook so secretive about a stupid tattoo? Many people they met had tattoos and proudly displayed them to others. Maybe he tattooed some random girls name on his chest only to be rejected. Zoro huffed out a laugh, no not even the love cook would be that stupid. At least he hoped for it.
The longer his mission went on, the more impatient he grew. It was impossible to get a glimpse of the cook's chest without him immediately going into fight mode because at this point Zoro's only plan was to get off his shirt one way or another. The only option the swordsman never tried was to spy on him while he showered and Zoro was sure he would never sink that low because of the shitty cook. So he still tried to catch a glimpse in any way, even between fights in a desert, in the sky, battling the world government or some warlord. It was no use, the Cook's chest stayed covered in front of his eyes. Only his.
Apparently his friends all had seen the cook's tattoo at some point but nobody told him what it was. They all told him to ask the stupid potato peeler himself if he wanted to know, as it was not their place to tell. He already tried asking once, but the cook never answered. The whole situation kinda hurt, but at least showed him that the cook didn't trust him as much as the others.
It hurt for another reason too. One that Zoro decided to bury deep down the moment he noticed it. The Cook would never like him this way, so it was no use holding on to those feelings.
Unfortunately his mission involved watching the lovesick cook almost 24/7. That's how he learned that the blond sometimes hummed to himself as he cooked, that he had incredible skills with his kitchen knives, that he sometimes played with the chain attatched to his belt when he was nervous and couldn't smoke, that he sometimes cursed in another language (wich was unfairly cute) or spoke said language with Robin or that he often let Chopper and Luffy taste the excess batter if he baked a cake or that he usually ate alone after the crew left the galley, leaning on the ship's wall with closed eyes and a smile on his lips that Zoro never saw before (also unfairly cute). The feelings did not stay buried very long.
But then they got to Sabaody, Kuma happened and in the chaos of it all Zoro forgot about his mission for the first time in months. He never forgot about his feelings though, not even in the years that followed.
Two long years and some more chaos later their crew was finally back on one ship and on their way to the New World. It was easy for Zoro to fall right back into his old dynamic with the shitty cook. Still teasing and bickering at all times, tho it felt like some tiny thing had changed about the cook's behavior. Sure his appearance had also changed and Zoro could have sworn there was something new hidden under the blond man's stupid dress shirt, but the most noticeable thing for him was the way their teasing had changed. At times he swore the cook sounded almost fond while calling him some insult. Even more so when he did in his other language. French as Zoro had learned from Robin. The mysterious smile she gave him upon his question still confused him. He only asked what language she and the cook spoke, not that it had anything to do with trying to understand it. That plan had to be put on the back burner for now as Zoro still had his failing mission of finding out about the nosebleeding shithead's not so secret tattoo. It was almost unfair that everybody else had seen it, except him. The swordsman felt his frustration grow bigger, clawing at his sanity. Did he only imagine it? Was that why nobody told him what it was? No, he was sure he saw a red vaguely round something on the Cook's chest that looked too perfect to be a bruise.
He couldn't think about it for too long though, as the image of dartbrows without his shirt led to very different thoughts. Many of them including the cook with way more exposed skin than just his chest and leading to Zoro sneaking off to take cold showers more often than not. At least that meant less complaining about his apparent smell, mostly from the one person who was responsible. Not that Zoro cared much about that but it was nice.
The more time he spent pursuing his mission, the more clumsy he got in his attempts to get the cook shirtless. To add to Zoro's embarrassment the cook caught on to him, although not entirely. The swordsman still refused to admit his full body shudder after another fruitless effort to get the potato peeler shirtless. This time the cook had fought back, leaning in close to whisper "If you want to see me shirtless so bad, go ask like a good boy" with an audible smirk. That threw Zoro off for the rest of the week. He still wouldn't ask the cook, that would mean admitting defeat. And so he tried it his usual way again and again and again.
Until he had enough. Enough of his own increasingly stupid ideas, enough of his friends asking what the hell his problem was, enough of the cook's teasing that bordered on flirting by now. Since when was that bastard into guys? Not that Zoro was complaining but it only added to the chaos swirling in his mind. He needed to get his thoughts back on track if he wanted to get answers. So he hid himself in the crows nest, the repetitive movements of his training getting rid of all the juvenile ideas in his head. He trained all day until there were only two thoughts left.
1. Find out if the cook has a tattoo once and for all
2. Find out if the cook is into guys
Zoro decided to get both answers at the same time when he saw the cook approaching the bathroom. He quickly made his way down from the crows nest, thanking whatever gods that it was late and most of the crew in their respective rooms. With a few confident strides he made his way to the bathroom, finding the door unlocked. Taking a deep breath he opened it and stepped inside right as he heard water rushing. This was it. He did the one thing he never thought he'd do. The pervy cook must have rubbed off on him. He muttered a silent curse at the image his mind conjured upon his thought and instead focused on toeing off his boots as quiet as possible.
With one last deep breath the swordsman finally stepped into the bathroom, eyes trained on the cook that stood under shower spray with his back towards the intruder. Zoro quickly crossed the last bit of distance between them, not caring if his clothes got soaked. He didn't hear the literal squeak escaping the cook as he spun him around, carefully yet firmly pinning his hands above his head. He didn't care for the fact that he was very much within reach of his deadly legs. He didn't care for the fact that the man infront of him was naked. No, all he did care for was right there. Zoro didn't imagine it. The shitty lovesick excuse of a cook had a tattoo and it did things to him.
It was right over his heart, red and black contrasting against his pale skin.
A rose and underneath...no. fucking. way.
Zoro first thought he imagined it or that it was part of the rose, but no. Right underneath it were four letters, a name.
'Sora'
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Okay so that's all for now, but don't worry I am actively working on a part 2 because I had a loooot of ideas for Sanji's tattoos. Yes plural🤭. If you're curious you can listen to 'Rose Tattoo' by Dropkick Murphys because that song heavily inspired the entire thing. Maybe you can guess what else he has a tattoo for~😊
Last time when I rambled on Alabasta, I talked about how terrifying the situation in the country is, and that continues on when we properly meet Kohza
Tumblr media
The rebels don’t want to fight, circumstance forced them to take this stand, and it’s even sadder to us as readers, since we know Cobra is on their side and is as much of a victim in this civil war as everyone
Tumblr media Tumblr media
On a much, much lighter note, Alabasta still does have a lot strong comedic moments, and Rainbase has got a lot of highlights (the entire Smoker chase after Usopp and Luffy run into him always makes me lose it)
Tumblr media
At Raindinners our characters finally get to meet Crocodile, and I do enjoy their interactions a lot. Also when you think about it, Smoker has got to be the person who has the most beef with the warlords man was probably cheering when they were disbanded
Tumblr media
And then Robin’s power reveal!! It’s done in such a cool way. Up until this point it was shrouded in mystery. So when it seems she stabs Vivi with her arm, when I personally first watched it my jaw was on the floor, but knowing about her powers it’s a fun scene. Her fight with Pell (it’s not even a fight tbh) is a really really good moment as well
Tumblr media
Vivi’s conversation with Crocodile is also a highlight to me. Not only does the man keep being a menace, the two of them see Alabasta through completely different lens, which allows for great contrast between the villain and one of our main characters, which builds characterisation for both of them
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Another great moment has got to be Mr Prince, genuinely one of the coolest Sanji moments, and sometimes, in a dire situation, having a character do cool shit is the best way to go about things
Tumblr media Tumblr media
To finish my thoughts off for today, we get to the beginning of the first fight between Luffy and Croc, which has such a hype feeling to it, even if I already know everything that will happen. It also brings up the fact that even to Crocodile, Robin is still a mystery, which just shows how he treats trust, and how that will come back to bite him later
PORTGAS D. ACE  ||  X V I I . T H E  S T A R
UPRIGHT: New Hopes, faith, purpose, creativity, healing.
REVERSED: Loss, privation, abandonment, hopelessness, despair.
Headcanon under the cut
To me, Ace is like the stars.
Just like the freckles on his face, he is the embodiment of a whole galaxy and not just one astral body.
At day and night alike, even when you can't see them, they're here. They're a past you look at in present times. A constant you need in life ― a reminder that the universe is vast and that you belong somewhere. That you're part of a constellation, engraved in the sky, and forever to be remembered.
They twinkle brightly and guide your way through the darkest of nights ― they've done so since immemorial times, if you trust the sailors' tales. So if you know to rely on them, they will always push you in the right direction.
No star is alone in the sky.
It's these connections between them that matters. Family and friends are what matters to Ace, more than his own person. However, even if he wouldn't care about being just one star alone in the dark, he already experienced that ― and refuses to abandon it all.
Yet, a question always lingers at the back of his mind... Who would care, who would notice, if one mere star were to disappear?
No matter how much it hurts to say it: Ace ended up as a shooting star.
He shone bright. Not for long enough, but he burnt his way through and lit the way ― lit the sky ― and gave so many people the opportunity to make a wish.
Although their meeting was short, both O'Tama and Yamato were willed back into motion thanks to him. He showed up when they had given up ― on a better future, on their hope, on their dreams.
Ace showed up once and that sole fact gave them the ability to wish again.
He used to be Sabo and Luffy's star, too. They looked up to him like sailors lost at sea and found someone to not only call their home, but lead them back to it.
When he died, both his brothers experienced an incommensurable loss. Him vanishing from their life made them wish to become strong enough so that it would never happen again.
To always strive for the best.
To follow the North Star that he was.
To never stray away from their promise to be free.
Upon his death, they wished.
Oh I’m mad at Zoro. Saying that about Usopp. Don’t care what’s technically right or wrong, but Luffy also fucked up in that argument and almost told Usopp to leave himself before Sanji stopped him. And Usopp was supposed to hear that and not react out of hurt? Not to mention part of why he left was he felt useless. Acting like Luffy can’t be the one to bridge the gap especially when he has all the power, is dumb as fuck. Especially forcing Usopp to beg and humiliating him when Luffy already beat him up so badly (which I don’t blame Luffy for but, like Sanji said, it was humiliating). Not to mention Zoro knows Usopp fought so hard for their crew and to save Robin despite not officially being part of it risking his life as much as any of them. And it was Usopp who got Luffy back up fighting Lucci.
To me this narrative would make sense if pride was Usopp’s fatal flaw and this was meant to be a character building moment where he overcomes that pride to apologize for his fault. But that’s not his fatal flaw. In fact it’s the opposite. For all the bluster, he’s extremely insecure. He already had 0 self esteem so Zoro’s approach and Luffy going along with it, pretending not to hear him, forcing him to beg, just seemed cruel.
What I’m most irritated about with Luffy on this is that when both Nami and Robin left, Zoro spoke against them, and Luffy defended them. I know part of that is because Luffy knew he didn’t know the whole story in their cases. But at the same time, as he said in Nami’s case, he also didn’t need to know the whole story to make a decision. Luffy is supposed to be able to judge people by their hearts - that’s his big thing - that’s why vivi doesn’t care that Robin joined them because she trusts Luffy’s ability that much. So to me, this could have been character building for both Usopp and Luffy, but instead it felt like regression, particularly for Luffy. It didn’t feel like Usopp “manning up” or Luffy becoming less childlike, which seemed to be the intended message.
The whole reunion left a bitter taste in my mouth and I was really looking forward to it. And it seems like it’s closed so I don’t think this will be resolved in the future. If it is closed they better at least not make Usopp suffer/“earn” his place back by treating him lowly.
loved your post about yamato and ace and sabo finding out!
if it's not too much of a bother, can you give your hc in the same au of modern ASL living together and luffy trying to sneak in zoro? how ace and sabo find out and if possible, sprinkled with a *little(or more)* angst?
Aww thank you!! It was a sudden, random thought I had last morning and I loved it <3 And ofc I can!! I'm loving this AU, ngl.
I think Luffy isn't used to sneaking in people. Like, there's no need to do so. He often invites the whole group over (East Blue Crew + Vivi in this case, btw) and there are never any issues. In fact, Ace and Sabo like his friends. Sanji cooks for them (thank you, because most of the time they live thanks to his leftovers), Zoro isn't as loud as the others (unless he's arguing with somebody), Usopp is actually a really funny guy to be around, Nami keeps Luffy in the right path (they always thank her for taking care of him) and Vivi is the most surprising of them all but only Luffy would befriend a rich girl (Sabo didn't seem fond of her at first, but when he got to know her? She's the sweetest thing!). So Luffy isn't shy about things like this. However-
However.
Long post, by the way:
Sabo and Ace are a bit overprotective of Luffy. Well. Not really overprotective? They're not intense about it. They just treat Luffy (sometimes) like a kid and,, Honestly? It's understandable if you look at it from the older brother's perspective. Sabo and Ace have to take care of Luffy financially and I mean, have you seen Luffy's personality? He's actually extremely empathetic and pretty mature but he doesn't look like that at all, and he's seventeen. And it's not that they're worried about somebody taking advantage of him, because they know Luffy would never do something he doesn't want, but it's just,,, Seeing Luffy heartbroken? After everything they've been through together? After seeing Luffy crying already? They finally have a stable home, more or less, and he has a group of friends! They just don't like the idea of Luffy dating somebody they don't trust. But, you know, miscommunication and older sibling stuff. Sabo and Ace keep making fun of him and they say he's too young to date and have sex and understand these things. And they're not really serious about it? They just joke around. And Luffy is always complaining about it but y'know, whiny little brother, what's new? So they worry about him dating a stranger and that's why they always tell him to be careful (Luffy is SO done with them) and they just make fun of him because... Because they can. Older brother stuff. So, basically, they make a little bit of fun of Luffy and also keep saying he should be careful if he's going to date somebody, and Luffy takes it pretty damn seriously because he hates it when they treat him as a kid. Now, add the "Sabo's going to college and still takes care of them" layer here and the "Ace has his own issues and feels like a burden".
So when Luffy starts dating Zoro... It's a whole mess. He doesn't want them to make fun of him, first things first. He also doesn't want them to give him THE talk. He refuses to listen to them if they tell him he's too young and should break up with Zoro (which doesn't even make sense because Ace was even younger when he started dating people). And he doesn't want them to worry either because Ace seems more distant lately (Ace is dealing with the Yamato thing) and Sabo is always complaining about college being a scam and a shithole full of rich spoiled brats he hates (the only good thing there? Koala). So, of course, the most obvious thing to do is to hide the fact that they're dating.
Zoro is,, Luffy doesn't really know? Zoro is his best friend? But that doesn't feel right because that's what all of his friends are to him. Zoro is just something more. They start growing closer. And closer. And Luffy wishes they could be even closer but Nami tells him that that's literally just dating. That they're quite literally dating already. Luffy doesn't really get it? Like, the whole concept of dating is just dumb because it seems like a friendship with extra steps. Zoro is just- He's special but it doesn't really feel like Nami's crush on Vivi? He just knows that Zoro makes sense in his life and he doesn't want to do these things with anybody else (Luffy doesn't know that being Aroaspec is a thing, leave him alone). The fact that he feels the need to hide Zoro from Ace one day is what makes everything click. And it's funny like that because he asks Zoro if they're boyfriends and he's just like "I guess we are. Do you want to?" and Luffy couldn't be happier because well, at least now he has a word for it or whatever. And it's kind of exciting, isn't it? Like an adventure, the fact that they have to sneak in and hide from his brothers. Zoro finds it funny the first few times, but he thinks it'd be easier if he just told Ace and Sabo. But whatever, as long as Luffy is comfortable.
But Ace notices because Ace isn't fucking stupid and he's street smart and probably the one who knows the most about things like this. When the group is hanging out together, he notices the way the two guys look at each other. They're all very clingy, but he notices Zoro actively holding back and his touches lingering more on Luffy's body. He can tell when somebody is hungry and touch starved just by looking at them, for fuck's sake, it's horrendous to witness because it's painfully obvious. The way Zoro is always the last one to go home. That, and also that they're not quiet when Zoro ends up in Luffy's room. Zoro might do well with the "sneaking in" part, but the "staying over without your brother finding out" part? Nah. Horrible. Awful. They're idiots. Ace lets them enjoy themselves for a while because, meh, who cares? Besides, he's doing the same exact thing. For different reasons, but technically they're both lying to each other, so it's okay. He keeps an eye on them and tries to leave them enough food if he's going out with Yamato and that's about it. He isn't worried about Zoro. Because it's Zoro. And it only takes one glance at him to know he would do anything for his little brother.
Now, the thing is, Ace is angry. But he's not angry because Luffy is keeping this from him. Teenage years stuff. The thrill of having secrets. It's not as dramatic as Sabo would say it is. Ace is angry because one day Luffy comes home extremely irritable and visibly sad and he won't tell Ace why. He keeps asking but Luffy keeps yelling and pushing him away and Ace knows it's because of Zoro because it's the one thing he won't tell him. And now Luffy is sad and he can't tell his own brother because he fears he might get angry for the wrong reasons and Ace is angry because Luffy isn't telling him. The reason why Zoro and he fought isn't really important (although if you wanna know, it's linked to another AU I have that I just realized fits this thing too? So I'm just mixing them up. And basically, Zoro and Sanji were arguing and Zoro said something really fucked up without meaning to hurt Sanji that much, and Luffy didn't like that. And he could tell Ace about that but Ace would probably say "if he's just your friend why are you being so dramatic? Just talk things out. You've had worse fights with other people and haven't reacted like this" and Luffy isn't risking anything). Long story short, Ace ends up getting angry and telling Luffy that he knows he's dating Zoro. And it kind of goes like this:
Ace: Luffy, I don't want to get angry because I am not your babysitter and you're not a kid- Luffy: Liar. Ace: What?! Luffy: You're always saying I'm a kid. That I shouldn't date. Or have sex. Ace: Do you even want to have sex? Luffy: I dunno. Maybe? Not really. But it'd be nice if I could choose for myself! Besides, I don't mind if it's with- Ace: With who? Luffy: With nobody! Ace: Agh, c'mon now, Luffy! Don't act like a child. Luffy: See? You're always doing this! Ace: And you're keeping things away from me! What? You don't trust your own brother?! Luffy: You're gonna get angry. You are already angry. And you have your own things and you're going to go all worried older brother on me- Ace: I am not Sabo. Luffy: Oh, fuck, don't tell Sabo. Ace: Tell him what, exactly? Because you're not telling me shit. Luffy: ... But you already know. Ace: Yes, I know, I am not stupid. But I want to hear it from you. Luffy: Why?! Ace: Because I want you to trust me enough to tell me these things, you moron! Especially since he has hurt you so much. What the fuck did he do? Luffy: Nothing. It's nothing. Zoro didn't do- Ace: Okay, we're finally using his name. What did he do to you? Luffy: He didn't do anything to me! It's just- It's a silly fight. I'll be fine. I'm old enough. Ace: Nobody should be old enough to go through these things alone. Luffy, you don't have to deal with it on your own. I am here. Luffy: But... But you already have your thing with Yamato. And your job. And I can deal with this- Ace: You shouldn't deal with this alone. Even if it's a stupid fight that you're gonna solve in less than two days because it seems that if he spends more than five minutes away from you he fucking dies. Luffy: But- Ace: You always go to Sabo for these things, you know? It'd be nice if you trusted your other older brother too. Luffy: Sabo doesn't know. Don't tell Sabo. Ace: Then, tell me. Luffy. Just trust me.
Long story short, Luffy tells Ace what happened and Ace gives him some advice and they talk things out. So Ace isn't really angry at Luffy and he doesn't have to tell Zoro to sneak in anymore. Unless Sabo is the one home, because Luffy makes Ace promise he won't tell Sabo any of this. Ace just tells Luffy to do the same with the Yamato thing and they'll be fine. Basically, they're stupid because they keep lying to Sabo because they want him to not worry for them anymore. He has this older brother complex thing and he always tries to have everything under control and feels like he's the one responsible for everything? And they just would hate it if his finally stable mental health shattered just because of their own drama (bold of you to assume Sabo is well mentally in this AU, because he isn't. None of them are. Ace and Sabo are the ones who have more issues with mental health, tho, but Sabo is the one who tends to have more extreme emotions. Mental stuff headcanons, not important).
But it just makes things worse. For obvious reasons.
As I said in the original post about the AU, Sabo finds out about Yamato and reacts the way he reacts there. I think the fight is a bit more dramatic, but I didn't want to make it long. And of course, Sabo remembers what Ace said about Luffy "sneaking in" friends, and he asks him about it. Ace is just- He's so done with keeping secrets. But he also doesn't want to make Sabo more worried, even if he technically reacted well to Yamato staying over. Sabo is a bit more protective of Luffy (but in the sense I said before, not wanting him to get hurt because they know he cares A LOT about his relationships and a breakup or a fight would break his heart) so Ace is starting to question if it's a good idea to tell him about Zoro. Or if he should be the one doing it. Ace ends up telling him because it's Sabo we're talking about, and if they keep more secrets from him it's going to be a whole lot more drama. But the way he finds out is actually like:
Ace: Okay, don't get angry at Luffy for this. He was just worried about how you would take it. Sabo: Take what? I already told you, your idea of me is so fucked up. I am not a monster. Ace: I know. I know, Bo. But you know,, Ugh. Okay. Look. He's been dating Zoro for a while now. Sabo: The green-haired guy? The one who goes to the dojo next to the bakery? Ace: How do you even know that? Sabo: Because I listen to what others tell me? And why would Luffy think I'd get mad, c'mon. That guy would set himself on fire for our brother. I'm actually more worried about him than Luffy. Ace: He just- He just thinks we'd get too overprotective because we say he's just a kid. Sabo: But he told you. Ace: No, I found out. Sabo: But you told him I wouldn't get mad, right? Ace: ... Sabo: Ace. You told him to tell me, right? Ace: He asked me not to tell you. Sabo: What? Why? Ace: Look, I think it's better if we talk about this together? Just wait until he wakes up, please. Sabo: But he didn't tell me. Doesn't he trust me? I- If I have to drop out of college- Ace: Sabo, don't be stupid. You're not quitting. Sabo: But I don't want him to push me away like this! I- I feel like I don't know anything about his life. Ace: You know where his fucking boyfriend trains and you feel like you don't know him? Shit, I've been here the whole time and I recently found out they had a fight. It's not about colleg- Sabo: They had a fight? Ace: Oh, fuck, Sabo- Sabo: Is he okay? Why didn't he tell me? Ace- Ace: Just wait until he wakes up, c'mon.
So, Sabo is feeling like shit. Yamato is there having breakfast knowing that something's wrong. Ace looks at his boyfriend with the guiltiest of expressions. And- And Sabo is obviously not okay. So, everything is going downhill. They wait for Luffy to wake up because he's either an early bird or sleeps til noon, depending on the day. Right now, hours seem to be getting longer and longer. Until he inevitably wakes up and sees the whole thing and he's like "Oh! Yamato! What are you do-" and Ace rolls his eyes and says "Luf, he knows. C'mon. Of course he knows." and Luffy turns to Sabo smiling and saying "So you let him stay?! Of course you do, right? I told Ace he was being silly for worrying about that." (<- they're both stupid because they knew Sabo wouldn't get mad or anything, they were just worried about him getting too concerned. Idiots). Sabo sighs and he says that yes, he's obviously letting Yamato stay all he wants. Luffy acts like everything is fine, then, having breakfast and talking to Yamato like normal. But Sabo is digging his nails on the palm of his hand and he's not in a good place right now. Everything is normal until Sabo speaks up:
Sabo: Luffy, I- Do you think I'm spending too much time in college? Ace: Sabo, don't- Sabo: I've been staying at Koala's for a long time. Her apartment is closer to the campus, too, and- And I don't know. Would you want me to be around here more often? Luffy: Mmm? But you're always saying that you need to focus on studying! To have a good job and write your book. That's your dream. It's fine if- Sabo: But do you want me to be around here more? Luffy: I always like it when you're around. I don't mind. You still come over here a lot! Ace: Okay, but Sabo! Sabo. Dude. Even if you stayed at campus more often to write your book or study, it's alright. We can take care of ourselves. Sabo: I know you can. It's not about that. You know it's not. Luffy, do you feel like I've been... Like you can't tell me stuff? Luffy: What do you mean? I tell you everything. Sabo: Do you really? Luffy: I- Ace: He knows about Zoro, Luffy, don't lie. You're an awful liar, too. Luffy: Did you tell him?! Why?! Sabo: It's fine, I am not mad. Leave Ace alone. Luffy: You're not angry?! Sabo: See? Why do you even think I'd get angry? Luffy: ... Because I lied to you. And I'm dating somebody. Sabo: Luffy. I always tell you to be careful because I don't want you getting hurt by some random person. But it's Zoro! I- I know him. And you're seventeen. You knew I wouldn't get mad. So what's the truth here? Yamato: Ace, I can go to Deuce's for a while if you don't want me- Sabo: Please, don't be like that. You're family now. I- I'm not kicking you out. I am not mad. Why does everybody think I'm angry? You can listen to this. I'm sure you know more than Luffy now than me. Ace: Dude, you're being too hard on yourself. Sabo: But I am not here enough for Luffy to trust me! Ace: It's not that he doesn't trust you! He just doesn't want you to get like this! Sabo: Like what?! Ace: You're always blaming yourself for things that aren't your fault! Yes, Luffy didn't tell you he has a boyfriend. I didn't tell you Yamato was staying here. We didn't tell you because you're better than us. Luffy: Ace- Ace: We didn't tell you because you actually have a chance of doing something with your life and this? Teen drama? Luffy fighting and making up with his boyfriend because he said something mean about another guy? Yamato doing the same thing you did when you were a kid at twenty-six? This is not the stuff you should be blaming yourself for! You have this constant need to take care of everything b- Luffy: I'm not weak. I can take care of myself, Sabo. Sabo: Do I make you feel like you're a burden? Do I really- Luffy: What? No! Sabo: I just-I just want you to be able to tell me these things without thinking I'm gonna go into another episode. I'm fine. Just tell me these things and we can find a solution together. Isn't that what we've always done? Ace: Then you have to promise you won't try to carry everything on your own. Man, you already are stressed enough. Luffy: Yeah, and I trust you! Dumbass! I wanted to tell you. Ace: Shit, babe, I'm sorry you have to deal with us now- Yamato: Oh, no! It's really nice. Sabo: Nice? Yamato: You love each other so much you fight about it. Never seen that before. And you're letting me be a part of this! I think it's great. Thank you.
This is getting TOO long, but to end this: They obviously talk things out. Sabo tries to focus on studying but also calls them regularly so they can tell them everything about their lives. He also visits often with Koala. Yamato starts living there (not really because there are some issues with Kaido still, even if he's old enough to do whatever the fuck he wants, but he stays over most of the time). And Zoro meets Sabo finally saying he's Luffy's boyfriend (and it's literally just the same as always because they already know each other. Sabo is just happy they can be together in front of him).
Who would've thought the key would be communication, huh?
