El Depósito de la Plaza de Castilla es una instalación perteneciente al Canal de Isabel II.

Se encuentra situado, desde 1952 al final del paseo de la Castellana en el terreno municipal del que fue el cuarto depósito de la Plaza de Castilla (construido en el año 1939), y con una capacidad de 180.000 m3.

En el año 1952 fue relevado por el depósito de la plaza de Castilla. A comienzos del siglo XXI se hizo una remodelación en la zona.

Consolidation and restoration in the area of “Sant Francesc” and “La Pardala” in Morella Castle .

Morella Castle restoration in Castellón

The general criterion for intervention has been to restore and consolidate the existing masonry, maintaining their ruinous physiognomy, mainly in their crowns, hollows and surfaces, avoiding reinterpretation of the original state.

For the necessary added structural elements, have been used compatible materials such as lime concrete, with stainless steel and glass fibre reinforcing, with tones and textures that integrate with the rest of the interesting historical stratigraphy of the existing and discovered masonry. In the same way, for the necessary added functional elements such as carpentry, it has been used stainless steel with titanium steam treatment, giving it a finish that integrates with the rest of the intervention.

In the area of the loopholed wall, about 70 meters long and about 14 meters high, the main work has been focused on the structural consolidation, being at risk of collapse, as well as the cleaning and restoration. Outside the walls, four buttresses have been placed, reinforcing the foundation, recovering the exported land and sealing and consolidation of cracks.

In the interior of the walls, an important volume from Carlist War period fillings has been removed because of they affected structurally the wall, appearing numerous archaeological remains, deposited in the Museum of the Castle of Morella, as well as the finding of three lime ovens, leaving visible medieval rammed-earth that remained hidden. For the collection of rainwater, the main cause of the pathologies caused in the mansory of the Castle, a system of diffuse pavements and pipes has been arranged that direct the waters to a pre-existing outdoor pool.

The access to the Sant Francesc Tower has been recovered by the execution of the roof in its wall-walks annex, its stairs, and the increase of the semi-demolished wall and the tense. All the masonry has been restored, including the ramp and its annex building.

In the area of Pardala Tower, the entire filling has been emptied to its original level to be able to waterproof and systematize the collection of water, executing his lost cover. The exterior masonry has been restored, with curious finds such as cannonballs embedded in the Tower, or a hidden gunboat. In the same area, the ancient overhanging latrines, that remained undetected, have been enhancement, executing a carpentry that allows to emphasize and to leave visible the corbels of this important historical element, to be the point of entry in 1838 of the Carlist troops.

Arsenal Share Points With Spurs

2-2 draw in an aggressive North London derby; Celtic beats Rangers 2-0 away

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored in the 71st minute to ensure Arsenal get a point from the North London derby after an aggressive match. Christian Eriksen put one through after Lamela’s shot rebounded from Leno’s gloves. Harry Kane got the Spurs 2-0 up after converting a penalty, from a clumsy challenge on Son.

Alexandre Lacazette pulled one back for the Gunners (or Gooners, whatever you want to call them) with a thunderous shot. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang got Arsenal back on track after many players started fighting in the second half. Sokratis’s tap in was ruled offside by VAR and the match ended 2-2. Fans of both sides accused the referee of being partial.

Wolverhampton Wanderers made two defensive mistakes that led to goals away at Goodison Park where the Toffees won 3-2. Everton opened the scoring through Richarlison and Romain Saiss equalized 4 minutes later. Alex Iwobi got one for Everton in the 12th minute and it was already 2-1. Raul Jimenez equalized for Wolves but Richarlison got the winner in the 80th minute. Willi Boly got a red card in added time.

Meanwhile, in the Scottish Premiership, Celtic beat Gerrard’s Rangers 2-0 away from home. Odsonne Edouard scored for Celtic in the first half and then Jonny Hayes scored in injury time. Rangers’ Jordan Jones was sent off in the last seconds of the match.

Elsewhere, Real Madrid drew 2-2 with Villarreal in La Liga. Gerard Moreno opened the scoring for Villarreal in the 12th minute but Gareth Bale’s two goals either side of Moi Gomez’s goal got Madrid a point. In added time, Bale got a needless red card.

Atletico Madrid got an incredible 3-2 win over Eibar, after they were 2-0 down. Charles and Anaitz Arbilla scored for Eibar in the first 19 minutes. The comeback started in the 27th minute, when future star Joao Felix got one back for the Madrid side. Vitolo equalized in the 52nd minute and Thomas Partey got the win in the last seconds of the game.

In Italy, Lazio drew with Roma courtesy a Luis Alberto goal and a Kolarov penalty. Inter Milan won 2-1 away at Cagliari with Lautaro Martinez heading in the opening goal. Cagliari got one back through Joao Pedro but Romelu Lukaku’s penalty made them pay. AC Milan beat Brescia 1-0 courtesy a Hakan Calhanoglu goal. Sassuolo beat Sampdoria 4-1 and Atalanta scrapped past Torino 3-2. Genoa beat Fiorentina 2-1.

Obras que habitan el tiempo, que se mueven dentro de él. Una serie de historias latentes de la mirada a través de cámaras del mundo contemporáneo. Formas de entender la imagen del pasado reciente, del presente continuo y del futuro inmediato. Puede el futuro, una vez más, revelarnos el pasado?
