Tumblr media
Isn't he Chisaki?? I may be wrong, but I think that was a pannel from Overhaul arc when explaining Kai's childhood.
Tumblr media
Who is saying those lines??? I don't understand. That's AFO talking?
Tumblr media
I hope you keep failing.
Tumblr media
Wait... Everything's gone? He just got a new body without soul?? Wtf??
Tumblr media
Haha, he planificates this day for so long... But he had to kill them both.
Also, did Yoichi just died a second time??? Along with Kudo and the other vestiges too??? OMG, stoooop, they have suffered enough.
Tumblr media
"Empty" and "point less" world domination. You're an asshole.
Tumblr media
That something so harsh to say to Izuku who is currently quirkless and limbless.... Bakubabe, where are you?? Your man needs you.

I thought of something that could add to the discussion around Izuku and Shigaraki. Back in the first war arc, Hawks made the morally gray decision to kill Twice before he could start multiplying and endanger the lives of every hero in the war. He didn’t seem to want to do it, but he did, because a lot more people would have died if he didn’t. Twice also wasn’t as malicious as Shigaraki and was portrayed as one of the more sympathetic League members.
Compare this to the current fight between Izuku and Shigaraki, where Izuku insists on saving him even when Shigaraki has been threatening to destroy everything, with the “sympathetic” part of him being buried underneath metaphorical rubble. There are parallels between the two, but I don’t know if Horikoshi intended there to be.
It adds to the problem of how Horikoshi never properly set up Izuku’s conflict of “saving” Shigaraki. It’s been mentioned by others how the relationship between Izuku and Shigaraki wasn’t expanded enough, but another way the conflict could’ve had more impact was through the reactions of other characters.
Hawks could have talked to Izuku about his decision, possibly pushing back against Izuku trying to save him and saying it’s “necessary” to kill Shigaraki because he’s too big a threat. And if he was written better as a more strict mentor, Aizawa could have been a character that pushed back against Izuku’s insistence towards saving Shigaraki, with possible parallels to Kurogiri/Oboro, while also pointing out the irrationality of (unintentionally) prioritizing one life over the millions of Japan (compared to his inconsistent logic in canon).
Seemingly the only significant pushback Izuku gets for his decision is from the vestiges who would probably be the only ones who would understand him when he talks about Shigaraki’s inner child. Instead we’ve got Izuku still insisting on saving Shigaraki, or the child inside of him, not only risking his life but also probably the entire country of Japan if he fails, and Horikoshi is forcing him down that path by making Shigaraki so overpowered that he can’t defeat him the normal way.
To add a question onto this, what do you think could have been done in the story to better set up Izuku’s decision to save Shigaraki, or at least what could’ve been done to make sure that Izuku didn’t come off as overly misguided in his decision?
Bestie, you hit the mark with this one.
I agree with basically everything here. Having Hawks talk to and relate to Izuku's situation (seriously, why is it so hard to get positive Hawks interaction) would have been perfect. Izuku learning that you can't save people who don't want to be saved would have been a crucial lesson as it goes against everything his built himself up to be.
There's saving people, and then there's the fucking mental torture Horikoshi's putting Izuku through for no goddamn reason.
There's actually a few things I think could have been done.
The mall scene should have been extended. I like it for what it is, but it really doesn't get into the difference in their ideals or what really sets them apart from each other. The parallels were all there, Hori just couldn't design to expand on them
Izuku should have been the one kidnapped, not Bakugou. Fucking Bakugou's kidnapping was so useless to the plot. All it proved was that Shigaraki can't recognize what makes a villain. Bakugou had everything handed to him his whole life, why would he compromise his secure future? Izuku would have had every reason to be a villain, but wanted to be a hero. This could have been the arc where the two of them learn to understand one another. Izuku sees the hurt kid and Shigaraki sees the battered hero
To expand off #2, I think it should have led to them both trying to "save" one another. Shigaraki wants Izuku to give into his hurt and anger, Izuku wants to give Shigaraki a chance at reformation. And that would make their final fight so much more interesting. They both think they're doing the other a favor when in reality Izuku doesn't want to hurt others and Shigaraki doesn't want to conform to society. And that ends up with one of them finishing things off for good
This Izuku vs Shigaraki fight should have had way more buildup. But that would mean properly developing Izuku and Horikoshi would rather die🤷🏾‍♀️

i'm going into blathering oaf mode which i need to type out because otherwise i will literally sit and stare at a blank wall full monkey cymbals instead of doing work that, ya know, pays the bills
Tumblr media
buckle up, i think ur going to want to read this one (and if not obvious by the Read More, spoilers ahead)
right im watching s1 again because it is literally my comfort show and i will have it on in the background whilst im working
and im on Hard Times (ep3) and it's just got to the You Go Too Fast for me Crowley scene which obviously HEARTBREAKING
but it just suddenly occurred to me - when we leave the 1941 scene, it feels like the metaphorical ice has been broken and they've like non-verbally agreed to let go of the Holy Water Tantrum
and on top of that we see aziraphale realise he's in love with crowley, and THEN we see the dinner scene in the s2 trailer like solidifies that theyre all cosy and bashful and intimate and seem to have certainly forgotten the whole argument
BUT THEN we get to the 60s scene. and suddenly there's atmosphere. there's suddenly tension. it's awkward and cold and almost a bit nasty. and there is absolutely no reason for it, if you judge only on the linear events given to us in ep3
(EDIT: i watched it again last night and the only other reason i can think of for az being such an arse is that he found out about the robbery by hearsay and not directly from crowley which ok yeah is plausible absolutely and probably the reason for all of it but sOMETHING in my hind brain is just nagging at me that it's more than that so i stand by the following musing....... you may proceed)
what the fuCK happens in that dinner scene??? what in the last circle of hELL prompts az to come up with the "you go too fast for me Crowley" line????
because im telling ya, im betting my last vestige of sanity, that it is NOT the holy water thing
im fairly certain that there's going to be a discussion of the holy water thing in the dinner scene, i think that's a given - when you take into account that az's gut reaction to Crowley asking for holy water was to refuse him because ✨IT WOULD KILL CROWLEY✨, i think that is going to be discussed in that dinner scene
but
BUT.
ahem
i full pussy, honestly and truly (but absolutely fine if im proven wrong), will die by this BELIEVE that there's going to be an a love confession of Some Sort from one of them
Let's face it ---- probably from crowley ("why did you save my books?" "...")
in this scene.
going a step beyond that, i even think there might be a move made from crowley (not The Kiss, mainly because the costume/hair doesn't match but also doesn't seem like the right one) but like maybe he leans in or crowds into az a little too close in this dinner scene and it's going to absolutely scare the beejesus out of az
HE. 💔 GOES. 💔 TOO. 💔 FAST. 💔
like az has literally just realised he feels something that, let's be real, he SHOULD NOT feel bc a) he's an angel and b) crowley is a demon.
but then crowley alludes to having feelings for az? possibly suggest to him that he has for ThousANDS of years???? and that he saved his books because he knew it was important to az????????
nopenopenope toO FAST BOY
az is an angel. opposite side to crowley. literally challenges everything az believes about being an angel and belonging to heaven. this could mean he falls. nopenopenope. too fast.
this is literally the onLY reason i can think of that would result in what appears to be a lovely cute scene, where az is quite blatantly moon eyeing crowley over a bottle of chateau, but immediately swings 30 years later to being cold and distant and "You Go Too Fast for me Crowley"
i will live and die by this, so help me god
and now....... discuss

bakugou’s heart exploding BEFORE AFO attacks him is interesting. from an outside perspective, to everyone on that battlefield and everyone who hears about it, AFO is who killed bakugou, but we know that it’s bakugou who killed himself before AFO landed the fatal blow on him. we also see allmight’s vestige beforehand, so that has to mean bakugou is involved in some OFA stuff rn
Tumblr media Tumblr media
AFO saw the second user before he pierced bakugou. he was determined to kill him right then and there, quaking in his boots at the thought of this second user 2.0 coming after him again with increased power and speed that even he’s having trouble keeping up with. his anxiety and anger around bakugou means the second must have been one hell of a pain in the ass to kill/get rid of, whatever his quirk may have been (and also through his will to win, much like bakugou).
Tumblr media
if bakugou is affected by that quirk now, and comes back (as i’m assuming the second did many times) then it’s going to be so satisfying to see bakugou make a comeback and piss him off again. get his ass, bakugou!
but this is also interesting because of deku’s reaction, because bakugou has a big ass “hypocrite” sign with arrows pointing at him now.
let’s see, in this battle bakugou is focused on keeping everyone safe, charges to attack ShigAFO despite jeanist telling him not to, and ultimately meets a fate that no one is able to protect him from due to him going in alone
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
look familiar?
Tumblr media
bakugou sure seems to think so, too.
Tumblr media
but you know what he told deku in the second war, and again during his apology/speech when they went to retrieve him?
Tumblr media
so how do you think deku would feel at first glance believing that bakugou was killed due to AFO after telling everyone that they couldn’t keep up and worrying for their lives and that AFO was going to take them away from him, but instead seeing him in the vestige world and coming to find out that bakugou died doing exactly what he warned deku NOT to do, what everyone was trying to prevent him from doing by carrying this burden with him, after bakugou JUST said that to win that includes saving everyone and making up for each other’s weaknesses when they can’t handle everything on their own?
angry? sad? frustrated?
there’s gotta be a fuck ton of different emotions, since he’d also blame himself due to him being snatched away before hand and not being there with him, but also AFO was relentlessly targeting bakugou to kill him (swatting others away, and their attacks weren’t working either) in order to make deku rage and steal his power regardless of bakugou doing doing what he did, so really what choices would bakugou have if the others couldn’t protect him and he would’ve died regardless? he might as well have still made sure he could still be there/by deku’s side even if it’s not physically, right?
whew boy, i’m anticipating his reaction so bad

🤍, 🖤?
🤍: Which character is not as morally bad as everyone else seems to think?
So this is gonna seem contradictory to my reblog of blorb's post; this is not intended to be read as a counter to it, but as a complement: Percy.
If I'm being honest, one of the things that kinda bothers me about C1 group fanart is when I see everyone else in the party at their fully developed state, like with their Vestiges and powerups and everything, and then Percy's out here...with Orthax. Whom he expelled from himself with a natural 20 wisdom save, for the record, in episode 35. He spent more time without Orthax than with him!
It is objectively true that Percy invented the gun knowing what harm it could do but did it anyway. He once permanently maimed an innocent boy because he wasn't giving the answers he wanted. He gave Grog a cursed sword and didn't tell anyone because he didn't want it to be his responsibility and he thought Grog could handle it. It is also objectively true that he expressed doubts about what he was doing even during the Briarwood arc and admitted he was scared of who he was becoming and outright asked the group to stop him if they thought they should. He publicly apologized to Desmond and admitted his wrong and assured him recompense in both money and job security. He participated in a resurrection ritual for a child he didn't know who got caught in the crossfire of a battle. He fought to provide the people of Westruun a safe haven in their city, while still encouraging people to leave if they wished, because he wanted to honor the fact that what they had built there was important to them.
I think Percy is one of those characters that people view as either a silly little Human Disaster™ or as Vox Machina's Token Evil Teammate (the audience who projected onto him as the Facts and Logic guy seems to have dissipated after it became clear that he was. very much not doing that), and neither of those things are true. When Laura remarked that she looked at Percy and said "I can fix him", it was very clearly a joke, but I think people take that seriously and think Vex is the only reason he's not Lawful Evil or something. (Taliesin once said that without Vex's influence Percy could potentially have turned out Lawful Good—Laura's reaction was "eugh".) Percy didn't believe he could EVER be worthy of Vex and never once intended to act on his feelings; the change in him between episodes 35 and 68 was because he personally chose to be better, over and over again—even through several instances of him having Fucked Up Big Time—for its own sake. His forgiveness of Ripley is what inspired Vex, and I don't think people acknowledge that enough.
🖤: Which character is not as morally good as everyone else seems to think?
I kind of alluded to this in the ship question but to be clear at the outset, I think Vax is a good person*, but I also think his flaws tend to be overlooked. He gets Soft Boy'd a lot, and while I don't think characters who operate on emotion are bad or stupid by default (my favorite superhero is Starfire), I think fandom tends to assume people who operate on emotion are good by default. Vax does a lot of reckless things that he's repeatedly called out for by everyone in the group, and he generally lets it roll off him because his metric for success is "but did you die". He saw a kid that he thought needed some tough love, and his first response was "bludgeon him over the back of the head and instantly knock him unconscious". He ran into a trap that nearly got Cassandra killed and never once apologized to her. He ran after Raishan and attacked, an action that actually did get Vex and Scanlan killed, and not only did he never apologize to them, he openly said in front of them that he didn't regret doing it (after being rightfully angry with Percy for getting Vex killed and having seen some proof that Scanlan might not be doing great!).
Like, to be clear, again, none of those things make him a bad person; I think overall he's a good person, and I think they're good character choices!* What I'm saying is that he has some genuine rough edges to him, and I think a lot of that gets ignored or sanded down in fanon to make him "the nice twin" or a perfect YA Hero love interest for a Keyleth who is being projected onto, and that simply isn't the character Liam played.
*I wouldn't normally put in that kind of good-person caveat—I don't think the end-all be-all is whether or not a fictional character is a good person—but a) this is a question about morality and b) some folks are weird about Liam.

You mentioned the spiritual significance of Zuko being the one to bend the rainbow fire before, could I ask you to elaborate on that?
So I haven't read Smoke and Shadow and I know Yang just said he thought it looked cool, BUT what I was saying was in response to someone saying that Aang should bend the rainbow fire because he's a better bender which...misses the point of that specific image and why people associate it with Zuko, in particular. Yang may not have thought about it more than two seconds, but he didn't pull it out of his ass. It's an obvious callback to the firebending masters.
Tumblr media
It's one of the most memorable images in the show, and one of the reasons for that is the use of repeated symbols important to the narrative.
And of course there's the overall meaning of harmony and balance, this being a journey that Zuko and Aang take together to symbolize that they are united in their mission to restore harmony to the world, but it also has an individual meaning specific to Zuko. Aang had to learn the true meaning of firebending so that he could become a fully realized Avatar. But the reason Zuko had to do it is a bit different, and more personal than just his mission to help Aang.
Zuko had to learn the true meaning of fire so that he could restore spiritual balance within himself, so that he could in turn restore spiritual balance to the Fire Nation, which has long been disconnected from its spiritual heritage. This is symbolized in the Sun Warriors being the keepers of this secret, but also symbolized in the dragons which have spiritual meaning specifically in the Fire Nation.
We know that dragons are symbolic in the Fire Nation, but they seem to have lost their spiritual meaning after Sozin's time. That's also probably why no Fire Lord after Sozin and before Zuko owned a dragon. In fact, hunting dragons became a common practice. This symbolizes the Fire Nation's disconnect from the spiritual world, which happened when Sozin decided to turn his back on the spiritual balance represented by the Avatar. The war threw everything out of balance, and so did the loss of the Avatar and the dragons. Iroh was supposed to have killed the last dragon, but lies to preserve the last vestige of the true spiritual meaning of firebending. This can also be seen as symbolic for Iroh secretly being part of the white lotus and eventually helping put Zuko on the throne as the Fire Lord to restore the spiritual balance.
That's also why we see two dragons appear in Zuko's dream at the end of book two, symbolizing his spiritual sickness and the choice before him when he imagines himself on the throne.
Zuko's journey is something of a "once and future king" narrative, and the moment when he is judged worthy by the dragons, the original firebenders, is his "sword in the stone" moment. Zuko and Aang both have different reactions to the dragons. Aang says he sees firebending harmony, since his spiritual purpose is to bring harmony to the world, but Zuko says he "understands" and that he sees "colors he's never imagined before." For Zuko, the colors specifically represent something new, something that was closed to him before, because that moment represents a new opening to spiritual enlightenment.
And whatever, whatever, the comics suck, but this moment?
Tumblr media
Cool as hell. The New Ozai society joking about burning Zuko as an "imposter" and Zuko standing triumphantly, unburned, and proclaiming himself as the true firelord in a moment that obviously references him being judged worthy by the dragons and being given spiritual knowledge in exchange for enduring the flames and walking away unburned? You're gonna tell me this isn't a deliberate reference?
If I were to actually provide a reason for the rainbow tornado thing, I'd say Zuko was able to produce some sort of shield that turned the NOS's fire into the unburning fire that the dragons used before. Fire has a baptismal association that is definitely invoked in "The Firebending Masters" and the way the same imagery is used here definitely calls that to mind. It also calls to mind Ozai naming himself the "phoenix king" in the finale and talking about rising from the ashes. And yes, I know this is western phoenix imagery but atla has always used a mishmash of western and eastern symbolism because it's an American fantasy show. How cool is it that Zuko presents himself as the actual phoenix king, who went through a burning and rebirth in the series in a very literal sense.

so I'm going to answer this with the long answer I had typed for this since some wanted to hear it, putting it under read more
Tumblr media
oh haha um well it's complicated to say the least
there was a point in time (2021-early 2023) where I was a super hardcore believer, I wrote and read tons of fanfic about it, bought a zine about it, made meta about it, argued with anti dfo who got angry at me in the replies and even joined discord servers about dfo because I was really in love with this theory
but as of late I find myself just not want wanting it at all and actually dislike the thought of it being canon. for numerous reasons I'll get into
first off I feel at this point it'll just be super rushed. maybe if it was done earlier I would've been more warmer towards it as there would actually be time to digest this info. it would be a huge deal with a hero being the son of the number one villain, if it were to be canon I would want a full self reflection from Izuku, more about his mom and her thoughts and feelings about this, flashbacks to inko and afo's first encounter and marriage in its early days, maybe afo trying to isolate Izuku further by releasing this information publicly and turning civilians and some heroes against him. having him and his mom shunned by a lot of people (people calling izuku devils spawn), getting to see his classmates reactions, all mights reaction (!!!). maybe a talk with the vestiges about it and just stuff like that.
but there's no hope of ever getting any of that if it's revealed now. it's the middle of battle and at most I could see Izuku probably being shocked, afo taking advantage of his shock for a brief moment then we move on. which is very :/, feels like it would just be cheap shock value at that point so why even include it when it feels more detrimental than something interesting. maybe he could make it canon and have it not be rushed, but considering how he's treated the other plot points like the ua traitor plot and machia's kind of out of nowhere betrayal in this arc, I'm inclined to believe it would be rushed and messy as well.
I think I'm far more interested in seeing how afo and tomura's struggle plays out and afo's final encounter with yoichi and an exploration of his past and the person that afo is, rather than some last minute revelation that ends up not adding much to the story.
also the fact that izuku never thinks about hisashi once also plays into me being very "what's the point of having this" here. I know him having his memories tampered with is a popular theory but to me sounds like an awkward way to bypass the fact your main character didn't reflect once on something that ended up being extremely important later. I don't see any evidence of that either, at least with tomura he had some hazy recall about his past before everything came back to him with izuku we get nothing at all about hisashi. at least do where he vaguely remembers a tall man with an eerie presence and gentle smile that didn't reach his eyes whose face is obscured in shadow saying he's going on a short business trip and then he never came back after.
the next reason is I don't really like the more popular fanon characterizations of afo in dfo's settings (and the way people try integrating it with canon) not getting into this as I don't want to step on any toes, but this thing particularly has really turned me off from the theory as a whole.
also I hate the way some dfo fans treat afo, I remember it being common at one point for people to be like "lol afo is only interesting if dfo is true without it he's just some dumb one dimensional villain". when that's not the case, he has a lot of interesting things going on for him. I just hate how some only see his worth in whether he is izuku's dad or not. not all dfo fans think like this though, I'm not generalizing all of them it's just some do this and it irks me so bad. (and to be honest I used to be like this too, but I've changed)
and I also feel like a lot get too caught up in dfo stuff that they end up neglecting afo's character as a whole and it leads to some poor interpretations of his character and certain scenes because I feel some are trying too hard to find evidence/justification that they miss out on some of the more interesting dimensions of his character. not saying all of them do this, but I've seen enough of this along with other stuff I've said that's made me more :/ towards the theory as of late
another thing is that I guess I've also just grew tired of waiting? some people can only wait for so long before they change their minds on things they've used to love. and as I've said before in my first point too I just don't see the point anymore. I don't think even if it does happen we'll get some super in depth look at it and how it affects izuku and other characters. I was more passionate about it during the time where it seemed like we could get a good look into it, but not I'm more meh as it seems like we won't.
that said I do not have anything against dfo theorists. some of my favorite writers are big dfo proponents, one of my favorite fanfics of all time happens to be a dfo fanfic. I have some au's of my own about it and I enjoy reading others au's and I do enjoy the occasional dfo art piece. a lot of dfo theorists in my experience are really nice too.
I think it's so stupid how angry people get at dfo theorists, how you can't mention it outside your circle without risk of being insulted or jumped on. which I have experienced before in my dfo days (not on here though). at the end of the day it's just a little theory people have come up with, if it comes true then whatever if it doesn't then whatever right? just leave people alone and even if you disagree with them at least be respectful. it would be neat if fans with differing opinions on stuff in the story could come together and have an actual conversation once in a while so both sides could better understand each other, but sadly this is the Internet and disagreements like that usually result in a angry back and forth exchanges filled with insults.
as a whole I'm not interested in the dfo theory anymore to me it's something I would prefer to just remain a fanon thing rather than something that becomes canon. but yeah these days it's just very rare for me to read it, it's not something I seek out and I usually only read it from authors I already trust. but if someone wanted me to read their dfo fic and they were nice about it well I wouldn't be opposed to reading it. I don't mind if someone wants to talk about it with me either. I like talking about afo as a whole even if it's in the realms of a theory I'm not crazy about.
I guess I am grateful to dfo in a way as its what made me really take notice of afo in the first place. It made me look more into scenes that he was in and over time I ended up liking him more than the theory itself and ended up just abandoning the theory as a whole. I don't think I would be as in love with him as I am now if it weren't for dfo making me a take closer look at him. also believe it when they say the dfo theorist to afo simping pipeline is real because it happened to me. if you're keeping this man constantly in your thoughts theres a chance it could happen to you.
overall I don't feel like it's going to be canon anymore? I don't really care for it being canon either. there's too much stuff going on that still needs to be wrapped up and I think dfo wouldn't be able to fit in all of it. the only things I would say make me hesitate about it being true is the fact he said hisashi will be revealed back in 2018 and some of the meanings behind hisashi's name. but generally feeling like there's a 20% chance of it happening seeing where we are as of now. I think past me would've been horrified to hear me say this now because I used to be extremely confident it would happen but things change
anyways you wanted my opinion and there it is, this is just how I feel and you're free to disagree with me as long as you're not rude about it.

So... All For One is now le-dead.
So he is. At least, unless something happens in the vestige realm, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. For this, I will try to focus on his death and not other things aorund it, like my thoughts related to Stain in all of this.
Tumblr media
Honestly, I have a lot of mixed feelings about All For One, his death especially. This arc touted the return of All For One as this big bad, but it felt like such a massive time sink for this arc. He was featured so much, yet I feel like nothing has changed my understanding of him. He was essentially used as a ending point for other characters like Enji, Bakugo, and All Might. I do like a lot of the character stuff he facilitates, but it doesn't really add a lot to him We get his whole backstory and all it reaffirms how scummy he was. It all just makes his death feel abrupt. It happens in the middle of the chapter and we move on from it. There isn't any reaction kind from any of the characters either. A death should impact the other characters just as much, but we don't get anything from All Might, Nana, Tomura, or Izuku. All these people who have been hurt by All For One and there isn't anything on it. We don't even get one for Youichi either, at least not yet. You think there would be something from him after his brother's death and all the feelings he has on that.
However, I do think that there are some good points about his death. I like the context of All For One's death and how fitting it is for him. The man who thought he was above all was brought low be a swarm of heroes, both inside and out, finally vanishing weak and alone, his time finally being up. And when he dies, it confirms that stolen Quirks die with the user. It adds some bitter sweetness to all this knowing that that those powers are gone forever. Above everything else though, I think giving Bakugou the finishing bout was the right move. Having him save Toshinori from horrific death and be the one to finish off this massive collaborative effort was a good way to cap off his character arc. He's still going to be the one leading the charge and giving it his all, but with a much better mindset for hero work. And it also works to set up the contrast between the two, with All For One having a very similar mindset to a younger Bakugou when you boil the two down, further emphasizing the growth Bakugou went on.

Grailfinders Viewers' Choice #15: V1
Tumblr media
today on Grailfinders it’s our first Viewers’ Choice build in Pathfinder 2e, V1 from Ultrakill! the long and short is: he robot, he go to hell, he shoot everything there. he’s like the Doomguy, if the Doomguy ate hell as he went. or if the Doomguy had an official dakimakura of him in a schoolgirl’s uniform.
yeah, Ultrakill gets weird at times. anyways, V1’s a Pistolero Gunslinger to pull of sick trickshots with his pistol, but he’s also getting the Sterling Dynamo dedication to pick up some extra literal arms from his brother and he’s an Occult Witch to pick up some figurative arms from hell.
check out his build breakdown below the cut, or his character sheet over here!
Ancestry & Background
unlike wotc, Paizo realized that there’s more than one kind of robot in the world, so we actually have some choice this time around. that being said, we’re making V1 an Automaton, both for its combat capabilities and because it too is the last vestiges of a dying civilization. You get a stat boost in Strength and one ability of your choice like Dexterity, and you also gain access to Low-Light Vision. as Something Wicked taught us many painful times, V1 does not have true darkvision. because of your Automaton Core, you’re not really a construct, and can be healed and damaged like a normal humanoid. while that removes some resistances and immunities, it also means you won’t instantly die at 0 HP, so checks and balances.
on the plus side, you still have a Constructed Body, so you don’t need to eat, drink, or sleep. you still need to take a long rest, but you’re not unconscious for the 2 hours it takes. really frees up the ol’ calendar for some speedrun practice.
while your punches are pretty powerful, this is a first-person shooter, so you’re starting off as a Sharpshooter Automaton. this gives you the Automaton Aim action, reducing the accuracy penalty for firing your gun at a longer range. trust me, nobody wants to be up close and personal with a Sisyphean Insurrectionist.
if you do fight in close quarters, you’re going to want something better than a regular old fist to fight with, right? the Automaton Armament you get gives you a Claw attack, dealing slashing damage and using your dexterity to aim.
at level 5, your Arcane Safeguards let you Resist Magic as a reaction, adding +1 to your save against a spell, and also increasing the odds of a critical success against arcane spells. most of your adventure is in hell, so failing against a plane shift would be really awkward.
at level 9 your wings finally do something, thanks to Arcane Propulsion. once a day, you can fly for up to five minutes. I know you technically can’t fly in Ultrakill, but have you seen some of those speedruns? you can fly enough.
at level 13 you get a Rain of Bolts, letting you fire shrapnel in either a cone or in a circle around you once per day. man, that minigun has a worse recharge time than I remembered…
at level 17 your Astral Blink gives you sick gamer reflexes, so you can Dimension Door once an hour at 4th level. grappling hooks- always cool.
oh, and of course you’re a Warrior. not much else for a literal killing machine to be, really. boosts to Constitution and Dexterity, training in Intimidation, and the Intimidating Glare feat. I don’t think V1 even has a mouth, so this’ll help a lot.
Levels
1. okay, first up the proficiencies: trained in Will saves and Class DCs, Unarmed, Simple, and Martial attacks, as well as Unarmored, Light, and Medium defense. you start off trained in Occultism, Acrobatics and Religion to fight demons and know what you’re fighting, and as you level up your intelligence you get training in Athletics, Arcana, Medicine, and Diplomacy. you’re an expert in Perception, Fortitude and Reflex saves, as well as Simple and Martial firearms and crossbows. we’d prefer firearms, but if you gotta fit in, you gotta fit in.
as for your actual level, your Key Ability as a gunslinger is Dexterity. you also get an Ability Boost off the bat for some more Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, and Intelligence. be prepared for 0 boosts to Charisma, V1 just straight-up does not talk.
if you get attacked, you can Hit the Dirt! and leap out of the way, giving you a bonus to your AC and knocking you prone when you land. that’s a combat slide baby!
you’re also trained in the Way of the Pistolero, training you in Deception (though I still want to use Intimidation as the way skill), and giving you a Raconteur’s Reload. that means you can demoralize or create a diversion and reload in the same action!
you can also move Ten Paces as a free action when combat starts. you get a plus 2 to the initiative roll, and you can draw your pistol at the same time. you can also step up to 10’ away as a free action at the start of your first turn.
your Singular Expertise gives you a +1 bonus to all damage from firearms and crossbows, at the cost of reducing your proficiency with other weapons. they’re all trained, and they can’t be improved until your gun skills do. it’s not a huge deal since you don’t use that many regular weapons anyway, but it’s something to keep in mind if you intend to modify this build at home.
2. a level 2 you can make a timely Pistol Twirl as an action to feint an opponent nearby. if you succeed they’re flat-footed against your ranged and melee attacks, if you critically fail, you’re flat-footed against all their attacks. it’s not quite a charged shot, but you’re more likely to get a critical hit, so I’ll count it.
you can also Cat Fall, reducing all your falling damage. I don’t think Ultrakill even has fall damage, right? Either you live or you don’t.
I guess we’re facing off against V2 now, since you’re already getting your Sterling Dynamo dedication. with this, you can replace a limb or add a new one, though you can’t get an extra hand this way. yes, sadly we won’t be quadruple-wielding this build. I know, now it’s unplayable.
the good news is that it’s silver, so it deals extra damage against devils, and the Power Driver Dynamo you get deals more damage (a d8) than your stock hand while also shoving creatures around. You have to keep a hand free to use this, but you’re not really getting any two-handed weapons anyway. The one other downside is you need to keep the whole thing wound up, spending a minute to wind it for the next 24 hours. this doesn’t sound bad, but enemies can disable the thing to cut down the timer, and later you’ll get abilities that spend windup time. there’s a reason most of your fights only last a few minutes.
3. at third level you become Fleet, giving you an extra 5’ of movement speed. it’s no monk movement, but that does speed you up enough to change your leap to a max of 15’ in a go. you’re also better at Occultism now. it’s not useful yet, but you need to know a lot about hell in order to get down there. without dying, I mean. getting to hell is real easy if you don’t mind being stuck down there.
you’re also Stubborn, improving your Will Saves and you can save more often against being controlled. I doubt there’s that many people in hell with 1337 hacker skillz, but it’s better safe than sorry, y’know?
4. at level four you kind of get your shotgun, allowing you to perform a Black Powder Boost. Whenever you leap, you can spend some ammo to go an extra 10’. so yes, now you can move as much as most player characters can in an action as a reaction. you’re not super-fast, but god are you hard to pin down.
when you land without taking damage, you can make a Rolling Landing as a reaction to step away from your landing point. this will also improve as your acrobatics does- as an expert you can stride up to half your speed, as a master you can move at full speed, and as a legend you don’t trigger reactions.
finally, you tinker around with v2’s arm a bit to make it a Modular Dynamo. I’m sure he won’t mind. now you can swap your power driver for Entangling Barbs or vice-versa as an action, giving you a short-range grappling hook for enemies. we’ll get the real one later, don’t worry.
5. at level five you get another Ability Boost in Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, and Intelligence. your Gunslinger Weapon Mastery bumps up your proficiency with all your weapons, and you’re an expert in Acrobatics for better movement tech.
6. at level six we finally get a shotgun proper thanks to Scatter Blast. I mean you can always just buy a shotgun (and you need to for this action to work) but now it’s Ultrakill-tier, with a longer range and a wider scatter shot. it even explodes now! directly on you, with a critical failure! this is why most people don’t punch their own guns.
you become an Underwater Marauder, preventing you from being flat-footed while swimming, and you can use your fists without penalty. hey, the water level’s going to happen eventually, might as well prepare for it.
you can also Piston Punch with v2’s arm, attacking two creatures at the same time at the cost of two actions and an hour of winding.
7. at level seven you can Skitter while prone, crawling up to half your speed when you move. it’s hard to match Ultrakill’s movement in a turn-based game, but at least you can slide around wherever you want now.
you’re also a master in Acrobatics now, giving you even more space to move around with, and your Vigilant Senses make you a master in Perception. finally, your Weapon Specialization adds extra damage to all the weapons you specialize in. currently, that’s a +3 to most firearms, and a +2 to your unarmed attacks.
8. at level eight you can Leap and Fire when you hit the dirt, letting you take a shot at whoever triggered the reaction mid-leap. this is about as close as we’re getting to a true parry system, but you deal more damage with your guns anyway, so… close enough.
we’re not done upgrading your reactionary dodges though, since with Kip Up you can stand from prone as a free action without triggering attacks. now you can finally boost dodge, something you could do since… the first level in-game. this is going a bit out of order, sorry about that.
we also finally get your Witch Dedication, which will let us start filling out the rest of your arsenal. we’re picking an Occult patron, since that’s probably what devils count as, right? At least I assume it’s some kind of devil leaving guns all over the place in hell…
you get trained in occult spellcasting, and you also get trained in Survival. to be honest, most of these skills aren’t really something we need for the build- turns out a silent murder machine isn’t that complicated. still, we had to pick something.
as a witch, you get a familiar, which is basically a living spellbook. they come packed with a couple cantrips, but you can only pick one per day, so we’re only going over one or two spells per level. Warp Step will greatly increase your speed, giving you an extra five feet of movement for a turn and letting you stride or fly twice as part of the two-action spell. if you’d rather focus on looking cool, Musical Accompaniment will give you that sweet sweet Ultrakill soundtrack in the background, giving you a +1 bonus to performance checks for a minute, and possibly some other checks as well, as deemed appropriate by your DM. all this comes at a cost to your stealth checks, which- yeah, duh. it’s hard to sneak with a boombox on your back
9. at ninth level your advanced deed, Pistolero’s Retort unlocks. with this, you can react to someone nearby critically failing an attack on you to take a shot on them. again, not quite a parry, but the spirit is there.
you also have Gunslinger Expertise, which does what you’d think, and you’re now a master in Occultism. we’re still not at the point where we can invade hell yet, but we’ll get something nice next level for your trouble.
10. finally, tenth level is here! bump up your Strength Dexterity Constitution and Intelligence again, then grab Deflecting Shot to parry a wider range of attacks- if a nearby ally would get hit, you can fire a shot to add 2 to their AC. and don’t worry, you’ll know if the +2 will make a difference, since you can use this after the attack is declared.
your sliding also gets boosted thanks to Nimble Crawl. Currently, it’s the same as skittering, but as you improve in acrobatics, you can crawl at full speed, and as a legend you won’t even be flat-footed, allowing you to finally have a proper shootout sliding around like a greased pig, just the way god intended.
you also get access to Basic Witch Casting, giving you one spell slot per day for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd level spells. Gravitational Pull is a first level spell that pulls a creature up to 20 feet closer to you if they fail a fortitude save, knocking them prone on a critical failure. sadly, this doesn’t pull you towards them on a success, but that would be cool, huh? you could also grab a Kinetic Ram to push creatures away from you like v2’s arm should.
for your second level spell, Inner Radiance Torrent is a must have for your railgun. you can spend two actions to two rounds on this spell, making it either a 60’ or 120’ line. if you spend two whole turns charging it up, you deal extra damage and irradiate yourself for a minute. you can also Shatter for your shotgun’s alt fire.
finally, your third level spells! Vampiric Touch is a must-have, finally letting you drink the blood of your enemies for healing! you deal negative damage to an enemy in melee range, gaining temporary HP out of the deal for 1 minute. you can also grab Ghostly Weapon to fight Mindflayers. I think they’re ghosts? I don’t know.
11. eleventh level gunslingers get Evasion, mastering your reflex saves and improving your successes with them. you can also Siphon Life by spending two actions now! I know you have to get dropped to 0 HP by a negative enemy first, but I mean. it’s hell. there’s going to be negative enemies there. and if you’ve managed to do a deathless run of Ultrakill so far, that’s as impressive as it is unlikely.
still, this means you can deal extra negative damage when you punch a living creature, forcing a fortitude save against them and healing you based on how much damage takes.
you’re also more Athletic now, congrats.
12. at level twelve, your Ricochet Shot finally lets you bounce a bullet off a coin to ignore cover. I know this is the second gun you get in the game, but to be fair you don’t have to buy it right away.
you can also Quick Jump, so now your black powder boosts can be added to your High and Long jumps as well, while also packaging everything into one action.
finally, you take a Basic Lesson in Witchcraft, learning the Lesson of Calamity. you learn the Stumbling Curse hex to mess around with your enemy’s movement via creative usage of grappling hooks, while your familiar learns Ill Omen. if their target fails a will save, they get disadvantage on at least one attack roll or skill check next turn. this way you can still mess around with the grappling hook, even if your enemy is too heavy to move that often.
13. at lucky level 13 you become a Gunslinging Legend, improving your training with all weapons once more. you also gain Medium Armor Expertise, improving your armor training. you’re also an expert in Intimidation now. I mean you can basically intimidate for free every time you reload, you might as well be good at it, right?
14. as a 14th level gunslinger you can perform a Dance of Thunder, spending all three of your actions to just viciously abuse the action economy. You can now step, strike a nearby enemy, and reload, repeating the three actions each time you successfully hit your target up to two more times. all this comes at the cost of making your fatigued for a minute afterwards, reducing your AC and saves, but it won’t matter much if your enemies are all dead, right?
you know what we need? better boosts. with Powerful Leap, your leaps can move five feet vertically, or an extra five feet horizontally. that means you can now move further than most people can move in an action as a reaction, shoot the guy who tried to attack you, and finish it all off standing. now I’m pretty confident we’re matching ultrakill in terms of movement. maybe not the weird momentum stuff, but we’ve still got six levels to go.
you also learn some Expert Witch Spellcasting, improving your occult spell training and giving you a fourth and fifth level spell now, with a sixth level spell to come. with your fourth level slot, we can finally use everyone’s favorite weapon, the drill! Dimension Anchor can keep an enemy from teleporting for up to an hour, but if you’d rather have a bunch of blood and damage the Vampiric Maiden can help out. it deals damage, gives you temporary HP, and can immobilize an enemy for a round.
for your fifth level spell, grab Repelling Pulse to really knock a creature around and deal damage at the same time.
15. another Ability Boost, this time into Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, and Wisdom to shake things up. you also become a Titan Wrestler, allowing you to shove and grapple creatures up to two sizes larger. I’m pretty sure this means King Minos is still out of your weight class, but I’m sure we’ll figure out some way to parry him later.
you now have a Grim Swagger while wielding your gun, making an intimidation check against the will dcs of all creatures in 30’, frightening them or making them flee on a success. I know it’s tempting to use an Ultrakill meme for this, but fight the urge! you can do it, I believe in you.
you also have a Greater Weapon Specialization, and the greatest skill in Acrobatics. you now take no falling damage from any height, can move up to 30’ when you hit the ground without causing an attack, and you can slide around at full speed with no downside.
16. at level 16 you can parry ranged attacks with an Instant Return, catching a bullet out of the air and firing it back at the poor son of a bitch who tried to shoot you.
you’re also better with speed tech now thanks to Aerobatics Mastery helping you maneuver in flight.
you can also use Murksight to see through fog, mist, rain, and snow. you’re just as accurate in Wrath as you are anywhere else, and given how much blood you get on you on a daily basis, that probably counts as rain too.
you also get that sixth level spell slot I was talking about. Suspended Retribution lets you get a real counterattack off if you read your target right. You pick a specific trigger, and then for the next minute the target will take 70 points of damage whenever they activate the spell, though they can also waste a whole turn to remove it. either you restrict the enemy’s attack pattern, or you get a free turn. either way, a fun spell.
17. you’re now a Juggernaut, making you a master of Fortitude and improving your successful saves. robots! pretty tough. they should make armies out of the things.
your Shootists Edge makes you a master of your Class DC, and your mastered firearms can now completely ignore the range penalty when firing them. that’s the great thing about robot gunslingers- no breathing or heartbeats to affect their aim. you’re also Legendary in Occultism now- it’s a secret tool that’ll help us later.
18. it’s later! you now know Master Witch Spellcrafting, improving your spell power again and giving you a seventh level spell! there’s just one we want this time- the spell Plane Shift. Now you can finally invade hell, just like you always wanted! So I guess we haven’t played any of the game yet? Kind of makes sense, Hell is a tough place to invade. don’t ask where we got the arm though.
you can also use Bizarre Magic to make it harder for people to recognize or identify spells you cast. turns out, it’s hard to translate binary on the fly, who knew?
you can now Reach for the Stars when you use a black powder boost. for each dose of power or piece of ammunition spent, you can add another 10’ to your leap, up to five times in a single jump. that means you can leap up to 80’ as a reaction, changing direction with each piece of black powder used. now we have matched Ultrakill in terms of stupid momentum bullshit.
19. for your 19th level, your True Perception gives you a permanent True Seeing spell. now you see the world for what it truly is, a… visual novel? weird. you can get that thanks to your Incredible Senses making you legendary in perception. you also have Medium Armor Mastery, improving your armor training to master. you’re also a master in Intimidation now. I know this isn’t as ridiculous as last level, but I wanted you to have plenty of time to enjoy blowing yourself up.
20. finally, you hit level 20. you get one last Ability Boost in Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, and Wisdom, and your Slinger’s Reflexes give you an extra reaction each turn for counterattacks.
now that you’ve filled out the in-game encyclopedia, you have Assured Identification, making it easier to identify magic. thank god.
one last thing before you go- you learn the Lesson of Death as your final witchy bonus. sure, the Curse of Death is cool, dealing tons of damage and killing an enemy in 3-4 rounds, but the real reason we’re here is so your familiar can learn Raise Dead, because Gabriel knows you aren’t getting through this game without it.
oh right, one last thing before the pros and cons- your eighth level spell, Devour Life. force a fortitude save on a target, dealing 60 negative damage and healing you for half that in real HP. excess is temporary, and if this takes a target to 0 HP they instantly die.  simple, effective, and very, very bloody.
Pros & Cons
Pros:
your positioning on the battlefield is super important in Pathfinder, and V1 is one of the best builds we’ve done to date when it comes to controlling his own position as well as his enemy’s. He’s relatively fast, can slide around and fly, and most importantly he can move reactively, which saves his actions for attacking while also giving him a better idea of where to move, and that’s all before we talk about how he can push and pull enemies like he’s taking their turns for them.
He’s also great at abusing the Action Economy, with Hit the Dirt effectively giving him an extra move and attack action from pretty early on in the build, plus his Dance of Thunder letting him take three turns in one go to cap off a fight.
a lot of times, damage focused characters have issues with longevity, especially when it comes to healing themselves. V1 does not have that problem, with his vampirism allowing him to patch himself up without losing out on damage.
Cons:
unlike Ultrakill, you have limited ammunition in Pathfinder. maybe. obviously it depends on your DM, but when you’re using five bullets per reaction they’re going to cut you off eventually. you also have limited ammo in terms of your spells- only having one slot per level seriously limits how often you can cast stuff.
you’re great in combat, but you’re practically a dead fish when it comes to socialization. you have almost no skills except for threatening people, and even then you have the lowest charisma score possible. there’s a reason you’re a silent protagonist. and alone.
a lot of your abilities don’t become useful right away. we barely use intimidation at all, and your occultism uses up a lot of skill improvements despite the fact that we use it for almost nothing beyond unlocking spells in the second half of the build.

sorry everyone im autisic and sonic is my hyperfixation so im actually gonna answer this because i am obsessed with this right now
so okay in Forces they didnt do a good job really talking about Sonic's trauma of being a prisoner of war for 6 months but we can probably surmise that fucked him up MAJORLY like he's sonic he's bounced back from everything but it doesn't mean it doesn't fuck him up. frontiers does a better job of showing how fucked up sonic is right now with the cyber corruption. what does this mean about the similarities between infinite's song and find your flame? its probably just a call back to sonic's state at that time. high stress situation and loved ones at stake makes sense, but why knight specifically? why not supreme who is technically the penultimate boss fight? i could say because supreme is also the last big boss fight for the easy and normal mode followed by just some qte (idk ive only played the game in hard bc i actually like the end boss fight). but i think it has to do more with a character element to it.
remember, knight is the one holding tails. in the last conversation between knux and sonic on ares island, we only see knuckles reaction and going by his surprise and the lyrics of find your flame, sonic is probably fucking pissed. i cant really use forces as a benchmark for anything because there was just never any... character moments that were particularly good. but there is a reference to infinite in that tails talks about how he was terrified of infinite's clones and how he hates that he has been so inconsistent in his behavior. i think it would make sense in the storyline of frontiers, that being each of the characters finally going in search of their own individual "freedom" so to speak, that the titan on tails's island shares a theme with infinite, who tails has a sore spot over. as for sonic's anger and how that plays into what i was saying, i feel sonic must've been pissed about infinite torturing him and also being a presence on his little brother's conscience, being something that exacerbates tails's low self esteem. tails is sonic's little brother, a kid he basically raised, and if something is haunting tails then sonic is going to go out of his way to fucking destroy it. its not the same situation, but its the vestiges of infinite and knight who keep tails locked up. and sonic is definitely going to rip and tear through that.
i dont even know if this is like coherent i just like woke up so sorry if this is all over the place just know i get serious about sonic

In your opinion, do you think Hori's decision to put Tokoyami as Hawks' intern is a good idea? What prompted this ask is that recently in the wake of newest chapter, I saw a thread (twitter) that says Uraraka should be Hawks' intern because Uraraka is the designated Toga savior and her seeing Jin's corpse in Tokoyami's place would be better to give Uraraka any context than current situation when Uraraka doesn't know anything about Jin and Hawks. The thing is, I saw similar thread a while back that says Shouto should intern with Hawks since Hawks is tied deeply with Todoroki plot and they said it will be narratively better if Shouto is the one who saves Hawks from Dabi, with the reveal and black bubble and all. On Dark Deku era, I saw quite some Deku fanboys say that if Deku interned with Hawks instead of Sir Nighteye or Endeavor, he will integrate with PLW plot better as MC, use Hawks' sensory to train Danger Sense, the whole Dark Deku arc with Lady Nagant will be better if Hawks and Deku have deeper relationship, also now that Hawks is likely one of Vestige inside AFO and one of few who interact with AFO the most.
My reaction to those threads are : 1. Why Hawks is in high demand don't you guys see how absolutely terrible that chicken is as mentor figure, 2. what they said makes sense, honestly I can't refute it and probably any of those ways will be better for the plot, but as Hawks' kinnie it's kinda refreshing to see Hawks and Tokoyami relationship that came with zero emotional baggage (at least except the ghosting that the chicken stupidly brought it upon himself), and 3. frankly Hori puts Hawks in too many plot threads when he still failed to express his genuine emotion in even just one of his conflicts, the savior trio listening to Hawks with the same devotion Tokoyami has for Hawks will bound to be disaster, but the same disaster probably can make the situation more interesting.
So as an expert on savior plots (afaik hehe) and someone who has no problem with putting Hawks in more wringer or two, I wanna know your opinion, do you think that one of savior kids should intern with Hawks for it to run better? The usual complaints for savior kids' plots are that Uraraka doesn't know/have any thought about Jin's death, Shoto doesn't understand Touya's deep attachment to Endeavor, and Deku as MC is mostly clueless about LOV and Tenko (frankly I don't think Hawks can help this), do you think they can be fixed if Hawks became one of their mentor?
...there is so much here I don't even know where to begin lol
I really can't even completely address a lot of the "points" in the first paragraph. Like who freaking cares about how Deku trains danger sense. It came at the time it did for a reason, why does that have to change. Also him interning with Hawks has no impact on how integrated he is into the PLW arc. Literally all of his actions would have played out the same. His fight with Tomura is the same. Hawks literally never even joined the battlefield with Tomura so how does this make anything better? Him interning with Endeavor served the purpose of spicing up the Todoroki plot and introducing Endeavor's new ambition--atonement. With Izuku's comment about how he sees Shouto trying with his dad and sees his uncertainty in forgiving--> called him kind for trying--> unintentionally hurt Natsuo's feelings because Natsuo feels like he himself isn't trying--> Endeavor calls Natsuo kind and acknowledges Natsuo's efforts, something nobody else in the family had done before that--> Endeavor says he doesn't want forgiveness as a response to hearing Deku--> says he wants atonement which is the whole basis of his arc from there on out. Everything served a purpose. How changing any of that would have "bettered the plot" is just beyond me, I don't understand it.
I'll start with explaining why Hawks absolutely should not have been placed with any savior squad kids--> because Hawks himself, is a savior squad kid at heart. I don't know if people realize this, but Hawks is the FIRST ONE to introduce the concept of saving a villain into the story. He beat the kids to the punch. Hawks to Jin is what Ochacko is to Toga and Izuku is to Tomura.
Hawks was supposed to be Jin's hero but he failed. But his purpose was to introduce that concept into the story. Like hey, this is something that someone in Hawks's position can consider. Hey, heroes can get close to villains and want them to be happy too.... He did his job there. But he was supposed to fail. He failed because of his background, his training, and his inflexible thinking when it comes to Jin's (problematic) philosophies. His background plays a part because Hawks has very little attachments in life. His attachment to Endeavor is entirely parasocial, his attachment to Tokoyami is very distant and closed off, because Hawks has issues.
Having any of the savior squad kids work under him imo would have been entirely too clustered. The reason Hawks failed in his role as a savior squad kid himself is because he has refused to let attachments run deep with him, except for one (Endeavor, which again parasocial). So putting the savior squad kids, whose arcs are all entirely based on strong bonds and attachments and relationships throughout the story, with Hawks, whose entire character is based on refusing attachments and bonds and relationships, would have been silly. Tokoyami up until NOW has always paid more attention to Hawks. It's been a very lop-sided relationship. Hawks dodged his calls, texts, outreaches, etc. Which is hilarious considering how Hawks views Endeavor. It's supposed to be that way because during the current arc Hawks finally pays attention to Tokoyami after he's been beaten to shit. What benefit does it serve to put Ochacko or Izuku in that position? Also Izuku spent the entire rogue arc with Hawks so....the lack of communication is pointless. Also Izuku has his somewhat complicated relationship with All Might so like....this idea is just silly to me. Idk.
As for Ochacko---she doesn't need to know shit about Twice. Honestly. Toga's BACKSTORY and the ACTUAL reason Toga has been struggling since she was a toddler is not because of Twice. Her backstory focuses on the emotional abuse endured from her parents. Ochacko has been paying attention to Toga's words and actions ever since the PLF arc and coming to her own conclusions on that. Ochacko is supposed to reach Toga by connecting with her and addressing her personal pain that Toga can't seem to get anybody to understand. Ochacko didn't kill Twice, she had nothing to do with him, and Twice isn't THE source of Toga's issues. It's just icing on the cake. What is Ochacko supposed to say regarding Twice? She didn't kill him. It's not like she needs to apologize for what happened. And Tsu already addressed the concept of killing vs. connecting and it didn't stop Toga. Simply just NOT killing Toga isn't working, it's not the solution Toga is looking for. So connecting Ochacko to Twice really serves no purpose here. Yes, not killing Toga does play into it, it answers Toga's question "Am I a person". But Toga's question also dates back to her parents literally calling her inhuman, so the notion that Ochacko somehow having something super important to say about Twice is the end all be all or the deal breaker makes no sense. Toga needs more than just "I promise I won't kill you 🙏🏼".
So I mean...yeah idk. My answer is yes putting Hawks and Tokoyami together was a good idea. Tokoyami isn't a main character so his spot as that side-dynamic that Hawks can start to allow himself to feel feelings over has been pretty well executed imo. Hawks didn't start seriously putting work into their dynamic until this war when Tokoyami put his all into fighting AFO and protecting Hawks. Hawks cradling Tokoyami because he's down for the count is supposed to be a big moment. Putting one of the main kids down for the count doesn't work. None of that works for the kids nor Hawks himself ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
My last point is that I'm SO tired of the "the kids don't know anything about the LOV trio!" complaint. The point of being a hero is to save someone even if you don't know them. Making the effort to GET to know them. How is the one biological sibling dynamic containing two bio siblings who are LITERALLY strangers and before the PLF war had probably exchanged less words in their life time than Izuku in Tomura THEIR lifetime, not a clear indicator that "knowing each other" is not a prequesite to saving each other.
No, the kids don't know the villains. But the villains have been watching the kids and dropping hints they want something from the kids. It's supposed to be that way. The villains are desperate and are so desperate that they're willing to idealize these complete strangers, high schoolers, they've had chance encounters with that were impactful enough to have left a long-lasting impression on them, to the point of idealizing them as someone who would save them, if such a thing was possible in their minds (right now, it's not a possible thing in their minds). These kiddos are tasked with something nobody else in the story is tasked with which is the point. Save someone even if they're not asking for it.
Thank you for the ask!

BNHA 413 manga leaks reaction!
Tumblr media
WHY IS SEEMS THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT IZUKU'S LIFE AND I DON'T UNDERSTAND SHIT!!
Also, i love that this chapters seems to include new flashbacks and memories of Izuku.
And this memory of Bakugo throwing those papers at Izuku's face...WHAT A LOVELY MEMORY MAN, they seem so close and good friends here -_-
Tumblr media
This is from AFO's pov?? God, it's gorgeous. First row got this man for sure.
Tumblr media
wHAT IS that???
Tumblr media
I love that this star is, like, shattering all around it. Breaking glass, y'know? also...it's destroying what's inside of Izuku's vestige realm? What's up with the closed door??
Tumblr media
GIRL,YOU'VE BEEN DEAD FOR LIKE A 100 CHAPTER BY NOW BUT YOU STILL HERE: I LOVE U, STAY STRONG!!
Tumblr media
This pannels are so insane really. The details are everything. Also pretty scary that skull and flesh going away.
AFO is...back?! It's a memory??
and baby Tenko is here. Hi, little buddy.
Tumblr media
WHAT'S UP WITH MY MAN HERE, WHAT IS HAPPENING!!?!?!?!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Is Izuku all right?? PLEASE DON'T DIE ON US!!!
Tumblr media
Here he goes like a mad dog again. love it.
Tumblr media
He cut your arm AGAIN??!
Tumblr media
What is happening with OFA here?...HE'S NOT GIVING IT AWAY, RIGHT?!?!?!
Tumblr media
You look scarier and more terrifying with every chapter they publish...but also very hot.
Tumblr media
What's that??! a feather?! Hawks is still doing he's thing?? haha
Tumblr media
KUDOU, YOU LOOKING FINE AF AND HANDSOME EVERY TIME I SEE YOU DOES NOT HELP WHEN I'M TRYING TO BE ANGRY AT YOU!! What are you arguing about with Izuku?? You want to convince him of giving up OFA or something like that?? Give it up already -_-
Tumblr media
WHY ARE YOU CRYING??!! WHAT ISSS HAPPENINNGGG???!!!!!
Tumblr media
Omg, his shirt ir ripped once more. God, he looks so good.
Also, Izuku, you look like you're doing pushups in the middle of a fight, haha
Tumblr media
Nana, girl, what are you talking about now??
Tumblr media
YOICHI, YOU'RE HERE!! WHY YOU HAVE SUCH A SAD FACE??!?! IT THIS BAD??
Tumblr media
HORI, WHAT THE F-!!?? THE HECK IS THAT??!! IZUKU, WHAT HAPPENEDD?!?!!? I DON'T UNDERSAND SHIT!!!
Okay, soooo...my conclusions here are:
Izuku and Kudou will have a discussion about giving up OFA. That's pretty much it.
All Might is taking consciousness of his vestige form????
Nana is going to reconsider (?) her attitude towards Izuku about 'KILL SHIGGY NOW'
Izuku will reminiscence his life and porpuse (?) and...he's going to go feral for...an unknown reason...again.
I truly don't know why Yoichi sweetheart is here. And he looks so sad, hurt and...disgusted??
IZUKU FERAL IS SCARING ME MAN

I've recently been thinking about how Fennorian would react to the Vestige being accidentally turned into a vampire (maybe while on a mission for the Ravenwatch they got bit by a bloodfiend or smth). I think he'd try to help them the way that Verandis helped him, teach them control and stuff. but he'd be struggling with feeling guilty about them getting turned in the first place. He'd hate that they didn't get a choice on whether or not to become a vampire
Anyway, I've made myself sad by thinking about this and I don't know why I do this to myself
So this has been sitting in my ask box for a little bit! Whoopsies!
But I definitely agree that Fennorian would be devastated at the Vestige being turned. He would so blame himself, and would do everything he could to be there for the Vestige. I think a lot of Fennorian’s reactions would be based around how well the Vestige is taking being a vampire as well. Like if they’re sobbing in their room at night because they’re scared, I think he would be more liable to have his own little breakdown. But if the Vestige is taking it pretty well, he wouldn’t want to worry them further or give them anything to be upset about. I’m sure Gwendis would have to step in when Fennorian got overwhelmed, and she would be very helpful for him to vent to.
I also think Fennorian would popcorn back and forth between trying not to hover and accidentally mother henning the Vestige while they’re trying to deal with everything. He would feel so guilty, especially since it’s clear in game he would never wish vampirism on anybody. Now all of the things he has to constantly worry about for himself, he has to worry about for the Vestige. Like are they getting enough blood, teaching them self-control, any canonical vampire weaknesses, where they go when they die… but the worst of all, is watching the pain they’re in. It hurts Fennorian to see someone he cares so much for in any kind of pain. But now it’s pain he can relate to, which makes it worse because he knows what it’s like. He knows there is no talking yourself out of it because he’s tried. He also probably has flashbacks to when he was first turned and how everything felt. He’s probably also remembering a bunch of terrible things that happened to him that he forgot about now that he’s kind of having to relive that through the Vestige.
It would be very helpful for the Vestige to be with the Ravenwatch soon after (if not when!) they get turned because they would have such a good support system. Also, they wouldn’t be losing everyone and everything they know, because they would already have the love and support of the Ravenwatch. Also, if the Vestige was spending a lot of time around the Ravenwatch prior to being turned, a lot of their ideology is liable to rub off on the Vestige anyway which would make turning a little easier on them.
Plus, the Vestige would then be able to console a terrified Fennorian with little comments like “Well, we suddenly have a lot more years together, don’t we!” which would have to bring him SOME sort of relief. Or they would try and get him to laugh with goofy comments like “Man, do I have all the time in the world!”
Well, I tried to end this on a happier note, sorry if I've only added to your suffering LMAO!

Predictions about ch363(and the next chapters maybe)
1. We stay in the fortress and we see wtf is happening with Bakugou and everything in general
a) Bakugou dies, thus haters throughout the world celebrate about it, with many seeking to comfort his hot milf mother, quite possibly NTRing Masaru in the process
b) Bakugou meets with Tenko in the Vestige Realm somehow and they talk and/or Tenko helps him revive somehow
c) Bakugou is powered by Second’s Quirk from a distance
d) We get to see what is with this cloud and change of weather, if it is from Bakugou’s attack, a new Hero’s arrival or Inasa Yoarashi from Shiketsu along with several others to aid in the fight
e) Bakugou gets a Quirk awakening(if he hasn’t already) and just wakes up from death in the same position as Shigaraki did in the war arc(and then we cut off to another POV). Now Horikoshi will try to give Bakugou fans the satisfaction they deserve after giving the Bakugou haters what they wanted.
f) Hori just gives us a small sneak peek of a light shining brightly within Bakugou, before cutting off to another POV, thus blueballing many fans and causing an eruption in the fandom.
g) We immediately switch off to another fight immediately, leaving no context on what will happen next with Bakugou, thus causing utter chaos in the fandom, while Horikoshi is laughing maniacally from his home(which is the best and funniest option, thus the most probable one)
2. We go to the mountain fight with AFO, Endeavor, Hawks, Jirou and Tokoyami.
a) Horikoshi finally embraces his full potential in providing fanservice for problematic characters and provides us a full nude fully restored AFO. We get to see if he is buff or not, if he has a thicc or a flat ass, important, very important questions really.
b) Hori is a coward and just has AFO manifest a shadow quirk to cover himself or a quirk that can make him a new suit immediately so that we don’t see him nude for PG-13 reasons🙄.
c) We get to see AFO in full power, showing the same final villain energy he had in kamino and in the nana fight, terraforming the landscape at his will or showing more body horror from his body
d) We get to see wtf is happening inside the AFO Quirk and what the vestiges are doing
e) Idk Hawks and Endeavor do sth problematic and AFO just trolls with them
3. We go to the Ochako, Asui and Toga fight
a) We get to see both Toga and Ochako fighting and talking in very suggestive positions and words perspectively, with Asui being in a different panel looking offended at all of this. This will be a reference to the Live Slug Reaction meme from here that will then be called Live Tsuyu Reaction. This will indicate some things: 1. The meme has breached containment from here and Hori has seen it and liked it well enough to include it in the manga, 2. He has a secret tumblr account, thus not only he has seen it, but that also confirms that he is the same fandom trash like the rest of us, and brings on a hunt to see where is his account, 3. He just knows about tumblr and just lurks there to feed off of our suffering
b) Ochako reveals she is bisexual and in love with Toga and tries to calm her down by kissing her, with Live Tsuyu Reaction still in this, plus stopping all the conflict. This is obviously Hori’s redemption card to the fandom for daring to even imply even in subtext of the existence of Bisexual Mineta. A shipping war between izuochas and izutogas will erupt, but as a multishipper and a izutogachako shipper i will simply look upon the drama like a roman emperor sitting on my throne eating grapes while watching gladiator fights from the colosseum.
c) Gang Orca is very approving with wanting to save Toga and Ochako’s coming out, thus giving him more screentime, which he absolutely deserves.
4. We go to the Shouto and Dabi fight
a) We see wtf is happening with Dabi’s Quirk and if it’s Quirk awakening or sth else
b) Stain appears out of nowhere hysterically wailing and creeching about how the AM statue was ruined like the cringy failed AM fanboy he is and then goes berserk at all the Heroes around him for being fake heroes that couldn’t protect the statue until either Shouto or Dabi or Tenya beats him up
5. We are transported to the headquarters where AM and Naomasa are there and see what they are doing or if they are attacked by a villain there as well(maybe Gnasly or what his name is)
6. We are transported to the parking lot where the trap was laid and we see the fight of Aoyama, Fatgum and the Heroes against Kunieda, where Aoyama affirms his loyalty.
7. We go the Gigantomachia holding facility and we see the kids kicking ass and maybe Mina beating the shit out of the villain that killed Midnight
8. We are transported to the hospital with Spinner, Shoji and the rest
a) We try to see what is going on with Spinner
b) We get some Spinner and Shoji interaction and talk mid-fight
c) We get Shoji full face reveal
d) We see Stain appearing to confront Spinner for sth completely inane while talking derogatory words towards him, thus angering Spinner and causing to fight against Stain(and maybe beating his ass)
e) We see Kurogiri and what is going on in his head
f) We see more about Present Mic
g) MR COMPRESS APPEARING WITH A HOSPITAL GOWN SHOWING HIS SOLE ASSCHEEK TO THE WHOLE WORLD
9. We see what is going on with Izuku
a) He is shown STILL flying over to the mainland while it immediately cuts off to another POV
b) He is facing some nomus that appear to try and to stall him fom reaching the shore
c) He arrives either on his own or with help in the mountains and fights AFO as it was kinda teased in the shonen jump cover
d) he is fighting a bunch of seagulls or a villain that controls flocks of seagulls
e) He meets with Star’s friends and gets carried on in the jets to the location he needs to go (either the fortress or the mountains)
f) He meets with some international Heroes that decided to come forth regardless of their countries needing help or being prevented from and when he does try to tell them of his plan to save Tomura he gets bitchslapped a la Will Smith because how dare any show basic human empathy to Tomura and not try to kill him at any cost 🙄 (yes i am kinda salty about some stuff, sorry). Immediately after that we either have the chapter ending and then: 1. have Izuku prove the mass murder allegations from the 3rd movie right, 2. Turn the other cheek around when Shigaraki dusts them in the fight, 3. the chapter ending and then we cut off to another POV, or the slap was so hard that we change panels and the narrative moving straight up to the next POV and then not having to see Izuku again FOR 5-20 CHAPTERS ONCE AGAIN, thus showing that Horikoshi is self-aware of this and is just trolling with his fanbase and that he remembered that he had another favorite alongside Shigaraki to put through pain and angst.
(Anyways that is all i can think of. If any of this is true, feel free to hit me with the Apollo and the ball of prophecy meme pic. Also i wrote this at 16/8/2022 3:30am to see if i predicted it correctly)
