"Albedoo" (name) groaned, feeling lonely and bored.

"Yes?" The blonde turned around to face them, he was just about to start on a new experiment.

"Can you lay on my lapp..." (name) yawned. Leaving your creator to do nothing could be highly disrespectful, they thought.

"I'm.." He paused, rethinking about their proposal. "I guess I can."

(name) lightened up immediately, untying Albedo's hair before letting him lay on their lap. They looked at him, who seemed comfortable, and gave a warm smile.

"If you want... You can do this more often." (name) teased.

"I'm not against that." Albedo replied, unaware it was only a tease.

"Alright then." They smiled, playing with his hair.

Xiao

"Xiao, when was the last time you rested?" (name) asked, looking out to Dihua Marsh. The adeptus looked at them in slight confusion.

"I don't rest." Xiao simply said, looking back to the wetlands.

"You know, you should still rest even if you're an adeptus. I'm the Creator and yet I get tired too."

"I don't rest to protect what you've created." Xiao replied.

"Will you just rest already?" (name) looked at Xiao, so ready to drag him to a room and force him to sleep.

"I said that I-" But (name) wasn't having it. They took him by the wrist and forcefully dragged him to a room.

They sat down on the bed and laid his head down on their lap.

"Doesn't this feel nice?" (name) asked, stroking the young adeptus's hair.

"I... Guess.." Xiao reluctantly replied, to which (name) lightly giggled at his slightly embarrassed face.

"I'll wake you up in a bit, I promise." (name) smiled softly.

They didn't wake him up

"Jean?" (name) called, opening the door.

"Oh, Welcome Your Grace." Jean replied, looking up from her piles of documents.

"Shouldn't you be resting? It's almost midnight." (name) said, approaching the blonde.

"I still have lots to do." Jean replied.

"I'm sure they'll understand if you just slept and put it off for now. If not, maybe I'll personally scold them." (name) said, leaning against her desk.

They act kind of like Lisa. Jean thought, then put the quill down. Muttering an 'alright'.

They sat on the sofa, patting their lap to sign her to lay on their lap.

Jean stood up, untying her hair, and put her head on their lap, sighing as she felt the stress of her work go away.

"Sleep well, Jean." (name) whispered, playing with her hair.

Thoma

Thoma stretched, finally finished with cleaning the estate.

He was tired and pleased, seeing the estate tidied up was satisfying.

He walked to his room, taking off his headband. He opened the sliding door to be greeted by (name) waiting on the bed.

"Y-your Grace?" He called, gaining their attention.

"You finished cleaning, good job." (name) smiled.

"Thanks but.. What are you doing in my room?" Thoma asked, surprised and confused that their creator was waiting in his room. "If you were trying to find Milady or My Lo-"

"No, I was waiting for you." (name) said, which confused Thoma even more.

"Did you want to tell me something?" Thoma asked.

"I just wanted to rest with you Thoma." Thoma slightly blushed at their words. "Come, rest on my lap."

He obediently laid his head on their lap, relaxing himself.

"Rest well." (name) smiled, stroking his hair.

Childe

Childe walked into the Headquarters with a yawn. Clearly exhaused from the mission he was assigned. He went to his and (name)'s room, wanting only to fall asleep in their arms.

He was greeted by (name)'s smile, energizing him a bit. "You're back." They said, walking over to the orange-haired man.

"You look tired." (name) frowned.

"Well, I guess I am. But all I'll need is your comfort and I'll be alright." Childe said with a soft smile. (name) lit up a bit and pulled him by the wrist, laying him on their lap.

They removed his mask and his shoulder piece and put it on the bedside table, moving a strand of his hair out of his face.

Childe talked about his day, how the clients were so annoying, how he wasn't able to fight as much as he expected he needed to. (name) sat there, stroking his face. Eventually he gave into his exhaustion and fell asleep.

"Good Night, dear." (name) whispered, planting a small kiss on his cheek.

😭… fun fact : my sleep schedule is a mess rn.. LIKE A TOTAL MESS ( staying awake till 6-9 am , sleeping till 2-4 pm 😔🙌 , and sometimes taking naps at 8 pm ) and I’ve been playing pretty late games ( today it was 3:30 am <///3 )

“Come on, Iida!” (Y/n) jabbed his boyfriend in his chest, even though he knew he wouldn’t budge. The engine legged boy simply crossed his arms over his broad chest and gave another curt “no”

“Why nooooot!” (Y/n) tugged on his sleeves, practically leaning off the other male. Iida hid his forming blush through his glasses. “I am not very fond of the horror genre, (L/n)-kun. I believe it is very unentertaining when you’re too startled to even glance at the scre-“

“So you won’t watch with me because you’re scared?” The taller boy choked on his orange juice. “No I am not! I..I simply believe it is a childish genre of movie-“

“Tenya, pleaaaaase?” (Y/n) stood up from his chair and slammed his hands down on the table ever-so-gently. “(L-L/n)-kun, please lower your voice we are in a cafeteria.”

“Tenyaaaaa,” oh the things he does to this mans heart. Use his first name one more time and he’ll light up like a Christmas tree.

“Can we watch one just this once? I already bought the movie, and I really, really, really wanted to watch it with you!” (Y/n) sat back down, but not before booring his gaze into iidas glasses. He shifted uncomfortably, before regaining his posture and sitting up straight again.

He didn’t want to watch it, but having his boyfriend cling to his arm and be so irritatingly cute was messing with his voice of reason. He hiked his glasses further up the bridge of his nose. “...if it’ll satisfy you, then alright...”

(Y/n) let go with a victory yelp, and pumped his fist in the air. “I promise you won’t regret it, dude! I’ll meet you at your house at six!”

“Did-did you just call me, your significant other, dude?”

(Y/n) walked to the gates of the Iida estate with a satisfied hum gracing his features. He gave a polite nod to the security guard on duty, who in return opened the gate.

“Say hi to mrs Iida for me, Kid.” The guard waved from his post. (Y/n) nodded once again.

He walked through the all too familiar pathway leading up to the Iida estate, clutching a plastic bag with a dvd inside. He glanced over his bag once more before buzzing the doorbell attached to the wall.

Soon after, a man with similar hair and eyebrows answered the door, eyes crinkling at the corners in form of a smile.

“(L/n), yo! I didn’t know you were coming over today.” (Y/n) chuckled and swung the bag over his shoulders. “Is Tenya inside?”

That man was Iida Tensei, Tenyas older brother and pro hero Ingenium. (Y/n) had no idea why he was here, as he should be working at his agency or at least at his own house. Not that it bothered him, no.

Tensei made way for (y/n) to step inside, whilst he turned his head and cupped his mouth. “Tenya, your boyfriends here!”

Immediately, a pair of thick set engine legs came flying down the stairs. “H-He’s not my boyfriend, Tensei! It is rude to consider one of my closest friends as my significant other!”

Oh, you poor, closeted, fool.

Tensei let out a breathy laugh and apologized half heartedly. Iida made a beeline towards (y/n), grabbing his hand and dragging him further into the house. Tensei clicked his tongue.

“Don’t be rude, Tenya! Greet your ‘friend’ properly!”

“Yeah, Teeeeenya. You hurt my feelings-I want a hug~”

(Y/n) outstretched his arms towards the flustered boy. Shaking from humiliation, Iida robotically wrapped his arms around (y/n), before marching off into the living room area. Tensei’s chuckles and a “have fun with your movie, guys,” could be heard as Iida dragged (y/n) towards the living room.

Iida plopped down on the couch with a sigh. “So...may I know what movie we are watching?”

(Y/n’s) eyes gleamed, as he reached into his plastic bag. He pulled out his dvd copy of a recent horror movie with a determined smile. Iida gulped audibly.

“I’ll...go pop some popcorn...” Iida croaked, lips curving up in a pathetic smile.

To say that Iida was scared was an understatement.

They were already midway through the movie, (y/n’s) eyes glued to the screen and absentmindedly chucking popcorn in his mouth, while Iida was practically drenched in sweat. Iida was brought out of his trance when a loud noise flashed on screen, making him flinch and grab onto the sleeve of (y/n’s) shirt. (Y/n) stopped chucking kernels into his mouth and turned towards his trembling boyfriend.

“Tenya...dude..-“

“iM FINE!” Iidas voice cracked midway through, making (y/n) stifle a snicker in between his palms. He paused the movie and shifted so his body was facing iidas. “You suuuuure you aren’t scared? You gonna be a big boy?”

“(Y/n)-“

Iidas statement was interrupted when the lights went out, the only thing illuminating the scene being the low light of the tv screen. The two boys snapped closer to eachother, startled, before relaxing.

Iida grabbed his phone from the table and turned on his flashlight. They both were already on edge because of the movie, so they had to be alert in case someone broke into the Iida family residence. That or the lights just y’know...stopped working. All throughout the living room.

Iida whipped his phone flashlight over to when (y/n) was now standing, the sudden light making the smaller boy flinch.

“Jeez, don’t point that in my eyes...Tenya?” Iidas face paled when he saw a taller, dark figure standing behind (y/n). “Tenya? Hey-what’s wro-“

The figure grasped (y/n’s) shoulder harshly, making the two boys flinch animatedly. They both went silent. (Y/n) shakily turned his head around, Iida following the man with his phone’s flashlight.

There stood a man wearing all black, accompanied by a white and red kabuki mask. He held a kitchen knife in his free hand, with a pocket for said knife wrapped around his waist in form of a belt. Even if Iida and (y/n) were aspiring pro heroes, they were frozen in fear, like a deer in the headlights of a tow truck.

The man lurched forward, with a battle cry, making (y/n) and Iida stumble back. (Y/n) fell on his butt, whilst Iida accidentally activated his engines, causing his legs to sweep from under him and do an odd flip thing. They both screamed, iidas being unusually high, while the man laughed manically. There was something so famillar about that voice, but they couldn’t quite place it. Iida stumbled infront of (y/n) and covered him with his back, so he was still facing the man.

They both screwed their eyes shut until the lights flickered back on, with the sound of heels clinking in the doorway.

The two kids and the man stopped in their tracks as Mrs Iida clicked her tongue and crossed her arms disappointedly.

“Tensei, stop being so cruel to them. Look-they look like their about to cry! And put that knife away, don’t you have some paperwork to do?”

The two boys on the ground looked at her in confusion as the mans maniacal laughter turned into a hearty, booming chortle. Tensei unclasped the mask from behind him, tugging it off and shaking his head around. The older Iida sibling continued to laugh as he looked at his brother and (y/n’s) confused, and embarrassed, expressions.

“T-tensei!” They called out in unison, Tenyas voice more prominent as he swung and chopped and the air.

“That was uncalled for! Wha-what if something bad had really happened?!”

“Aw-dont be such a wet blanket, Tenya. Look-even your boyfriends laughing.”

Tenya looked behind him, and sure enough, (y/n) was chuckling and clutching his stomach. Tenya fought back the blush creeping up his face as he chopped at his laughing brother.

“HE’S NOT MY BOYFRIEND!”

“Whatever you say, tenya.”

Their fortune has been siezed in recompense, and the family's name is mud. He left a letter for Kurt explaining the situation and admitting his feelings. Sam is almost home, ready to try to find a job and support his family, when he hears news that the heir to the Hummel estate has finally decided to marry. He holds his breath as he overhears the gossip, his heart breaking a little, until the couple who are gossiping say; "And then, the lady Lopez asked him why he'd marry a man without a cent to his name and with no title or land. And apparently Lord Hummel replied, "Samuel is worth more to me as himself, that any other person could be worth as a strategic asset. And," he had continued, looking around court, "Luckily, I have more than enough money for both of us." I hear he's on the next train out to find the Evans family."

Mémoire Antique

Authors note: Ahhhh Im so nervous about posting this! I re-read Human Comedy last night and I was really inspired for some reason, but I still struggle to create for myself, so I don’t think it’s as good as it could’ve been. It’s an angsty Shu x producer! reader drabble that got a bit lengthy XD As a lil warning, this does contain some spoilers to Valkyrie’s current situation so be aware of that when reading! They’re not a 100% accurate though lol. As always, please do let me know your thoughts!

It felt like my heart was about to jump out of my chest as I stared at the computer screen, looking past the little blue icon to check my reflection for the millionth time in the span of five minutes. Mika, sitting next to me in the small living room of the apartment he had recently just rented, let out a little chuckle.

“You look pretty as always, (y/n)-nee. Don’t worry about it.”

I was about to object to that when finally, after what felt like an eternity, Shu’s face appeared on the screen. He looked slightly confused, he was never good with technology after all; he was terrible at using his smartphone even, no matter how many times Mika-chin, Kiryuu-san or even myself tried teaching him. It was sort of charming, in his own weird way. How could such a capable and refined man be so bad at something so trivial?

“Oshi-san!” Mika exclaimed excitedly, eyes sparkling like a little kid. It was our first time calling him since he’d left for Paris, and just hearing Itsuki’s voice was enough for me to feel like crying. After producing for Valkyrie for a whole year, the summer spent without him had been one of the loneliest of my life. It had been hard for Mika as well; hell, he surely had it harder than myself. Starting with the new school year, he’d carry the weight of Shu’s legacy on his slim shoulders. From that moment on, it’d be his turn to nurture Valkyrie with all of his might, and my support as a back up. Shu had entrusted me with that; I’d have to watch over Mika, encouraging him to keep going, lending him my shoulder to rest if he was tired, helping him up if he fell. Without Itsuki there with us, who was supposed to do that for me, though? I didn’t know.

My relationship with Shu was… far from the typical idol/ producer bond. I never thought too deep into it, but in retrospective, we could’ve easily passed as lovers. It was never official, and we never put a label on whatever that was, but the kisses we shared quietly before performances, the words of encouragement murmured as we dried each other’s tears, or the way we’d hold each other in the solitude of the handicrafts club room after hours were undeniable.

“Kagehira, why don’t you bring (l/n) something to drink?”

“E-eh? Right now?”

“No, next week. Right now, of course.”

I nodded at Mika’s questioning look, and he was soon out through the door.

“You still can’t call me by my name in front of him.” I smiled, looking directly at him for the first time. Ah, it made my chest hurt. He looked nothing short of stunning, as usual. Even if I couldn’t say it out loud, my whole body, heart and soul ached for him.

His eyes looked softer, kinder than ever as he smiled back at me. It was a small and gentle smile that made him look like some sort of angel. But most importantly, he seemed happy.

“I’ve missed you, (y/n).” His voice was merely a murmur.

“I’ve missed you too, Shu. Are you having fun in Paris?”

“I am. It’s like the whole city breathes art. I can’t wait for Kagehira and you to see-”

He cut himself midsentence, clenching his jaw when he noticed his mistake. Ah, that’s right, for us mere mortals, Heaven was not a given.

“I’m sorry.”

“There’s nothing for you to be sorry about, Shu. We’ll see each other again sooner or later.” I tried to assure him, but my voice ended up cracking halfway through.

“Don’t let Kagehira see you cry.” In typical Shu fashion, it sounded almost like an order when he said it, even though I knew it was just his awkward attempt at comforting me. I hummed to acknowledge his words, unsure of how my voice would come out. I knew it pained him to see me in such estate, and in the back of my mind, I felt incredibly guilty.

“H-how am I supposed to fill the hole you left behind, Shu? I can’t even hold a candle to you.” “Don’t say such foolish things. You’ve always been much more fitting for that role than me. You’re more of a human than I am. I spent so many years acting like the master of puppets when I’m nothing more than an empty shell… But I’m here to change that. And maybe when I find myself… we’ll be able to make an ‘us’.”

The tears that had been threatening to spill since Mika left overflowed my eyes and it was like a dam had burst. They kept coming despite my efforts to wipe them off my cheeks, seemingly never-ending. The thought of a formal relationship with Shu was both exciting and terrifying. “I don’t know what to do without you here. I feel so lost.” I confessed.

“I know how you feel. Missing each other, longing for each other’s warmth is not wrong. Don’t let it consume you; consume it instead and use it as fuel to create. Create beautiful works of art and help those who feel like you.”

“I’m sorry, I promised I wouldn’t cry but…” “Sorry it took so long! I still don’t really have anything on my fridge so I had to run to the convenience store.” Mika barged through the door, panting lightly with a grocery bag on his hands, shoes still on and all. “Eh? (Y/n)-nee? Are you crying?” “I’m just really happy, that’s it.” I did my best effort to smile. Well, it wasn’t completely a lie.

“Tch, your hair is a mess. Carry yourself with more dignity, Kagehira!”

“E-eek! Yes, Oshi-san!” Mika squealed, a faint blush tinting his pale cheeks. I was sure he was happy though, since he was suddenly reminded of happier days.

We chatted the afternoon away, talking until the golden rays of sunset started leaking through the blinds. If I closed my eyes, it almost felt like I had gone back in time to the months we’d spent together, to the peaceful afternoons in the atelier, the happiest moments of my youth. Part of me wished to stay in that frame, eternally frozen in a happy memory, almost like a painting. But, as Shu would say, conformity is an artist’s worst enemy, so I’d have to move forward. I’d have to learn, grow and cultivate myself to reach him. Someday, I’d stand next to him again, as an equal, and maybe even a partner this time. And he’d be waiting for me until then.

have a few issues I could really use some help with. The family car that I have been driving wasn't in my name but I was still covered on the insurance until one day I hit a mailbox with the passenger side mirror. The mailbox did not sustain any damage but the mirror somewhat did. I didn't call the police when it happened since the damage was extremely minimal. Anyways, then a couple weeks later a different family member (not the owner) had a little bit of a bigger accident when an animal suddenly appeared in front of the car forcing another accident. I have not had an accident in over 12 years but since I was mentioned after that second accident, I was also excluded from the insurance policy for that vehicle. The insurance cost is something like $158.00 per month but now they want the owner to add about $50 or $60 more per month EACH for the 2 people that were excluded because of the accidents.The car payment is about $415.00 per month and the insurance was $158.00 per month for just the owned which does not even drive the car at all but now they want an extra hundred per month for those 2 excluded drivers if they want to drive that car. We recently both purchased $1M 10-year renewable term life insurance policies that we expect to keep for 10 years. We chose not to use life insurance trusts because the purpose of the policies is to replace the lost income of the deceased spouse if one of us dies relatively soon, not to increase our final estate, and the trusts are somewhat costly. We each specified our own trusts as the beneficiaries, because we want the disposition of assets specified there to be used for this money. The trusts provide for the income, and principle if needed, to be paid to the spouse, and for the remainder to be paid to our child at the remaining spouses death. How much can Insurer charge me to SALVAGE my OWN CAR?!?!?!?

Some background first, i was hit from behind whilst stationary in traffic the other week by a works van. the damage was not too sever that i couldn't limp back home (sore and car bashed but still alive) got the other drivers details at the scene and reported the incident to my insurance company. As the accident was not my fault my insurer passed this to their dedicated Non-Fault (NF) accident claim company (i'll not name them at the moment) who in turn provided me with a hire car and collected my car to have it assessed for REPAIR. At no point was writing off the car mentioned. Then i got a call from the garage dealing with my car (NF appointed) a week later telling me of the damage and repair value and that the engineers working for the NF, different company again, were going to deem the car a write off, CAT D as i later found out. Now the fun part - the engineers have made an offer for settlement and to write off of my car, which is a good 500 below what is would cost to replace it with a like-for-like car in my local area (replace cost circa 2.8k-3k) they are adamant they will not repair my car even though the repairs would cost LESS than the write off - because the repair is too close to the market value and they can make a killing on salvage apparently. so fighting this out at the moment. NOW FOR THE QUESTION: They have advised me that should i wish to keep the car after they write it off (which i want to avoid if at all possible) i can accept the settlement and pay them a salvage fee to retain my car. This i understand as technically they buy my car when they write it off and then i have to buy it back. The problem is that they have a flat 30% !!! salvage fee which on their offer would almost negate me being able to get the repairs covered. What i really need to know is if anyone else has been in this position and if there is a maximum salvage fee they can charge - bearing in mind that this is my car to start with - and if there is any way i can make them drop this percentage. Forcing them to drop the percentage might not only let me repair the car after retaining but might also swing in favour of repair instead of write off if they cannot justify such a big payout for themselves. Any help here would be appreciated fast as i'm still bouncing between the parties here to get this resolved. In case your wondering the damage constitutes a bumper rear panel and a kink in the boot floor - VERY repairable.""

He-yo.... I'm guessing any young newly qualified driver out there would of already found out is the shear cost of getting yer car insured. I know as I'm 18, male which supposedly makes me high risk so the cheapest insurance I got was 3820 and that's only for third party, and the car is only a 1.2 litre Renault Clio. My instructor mentioned that he heard a scheme that's being done for young new drivers, companies called: Young Banana & Young Marmalade The idea is that these companies have merged together with insurance companies to fill a gap in the market which is us young drivers. The scheme is that you buy a new car or a nearly new car with these guys and the car will come with affordable insurance. I had a look at it and decided to get a quote just out of interest with a new car. So I selected the nearly new car category and went with the new shaped Renault Clio. You can select to buy the car straight away or get it financed over a period of months with 60 being the longest, I got 150 monthly payment as the average which is just payment for the car. The first years insurance came as 1635, (got all excited and jumping, over - reacting) provided that your parents have a good record they are added to the policy for free. I was thinking that it was too good to be true, new car, affordable insurance. But then could be too good of a deal to go without some hidden catches. I dunno what makes me suspicious about these sites but the more I investigate into it the more I feel that this could become quite expensive. I said to hell with it, and had to come up with 2,600 to pay off the remaining part of the loan, and then go buy another car. Last year, I seen my car in the next town over. Same vin number, same paint chipped bumper, same fist mark behind the passenger door. I was mad, but blew it off. Then, I seen it on a buy sell trade site and decided to inquire about the details. The guy bought it for $800 and didn't have to fix anything on it except for what I needed to fix before the flood (window regulator, wheel baring, and new tires). He told me he thought I had committed insurance fraud to get a pay out from them. So, I called my old insurance company, and the lady took all my information down and gave me the adjustor's number, the adjustor's supervisor's number, and the fraud department's number. I called the adjustor, left a message, and then filed a claim with the fraud department. They said to expect a call from them next week. What exactly happens in a case like this?? I don't expect a hefty payout or anything, but still, I've never known anyone who had this happen to them, but I do know people who committed insurance fraud. I have an 11-yr old car with 106K miles that runs well. Last night I was rear-ended quite hard while waiting at a red light. Both the other driver and his insurance co immediately admitted liability. The damage to my car is pretty bad. I went to the auto body shop recommended by the other guy's insurance co - they told me the car will have to be totalled b/c it will cost more to repair than what the car is worth - he estimated the car is worth $2K and repairs will be at least $4K. So the insurance co is saying they'll give me a check for $2K and I have to get rid of the car (apparently that part is New York law). But I cannot buy another car - at least not one I'd trust to drive! - for $2K. The accident was completely NOT my fault - how can the insurance co not pay to repair it? I am doing that full time now and it's been about a month since I left my job. I elected to keep my dental insurance through COBRA, because it will only cost me about $23/month. However, to keep my health insurance through COBRA would cost me almost $500/month and I felt that was too much. I have read all the paperwork and believe that I can still elect COBRA for my health insurance for about another month. They give you 60 days from your last day. However, I believe there has to be a better/more affordable option. I am 26 years old and healthy, but God forbid anything ever happened, I want to be covered. Also, if my girlfriend ever got pregnant and I had a child, I would want to be able to sleep at night knowing that I have the health insurance for this. What are my options here?
