light: when i was talking to ryuzaki he--oh by the way ryuzaki ive been saying "he" but what do you prefer
L: interesting. do you think this could be relevant to the kira case, yagami-kun?
light: no, just curious.
light: (is this a trap? would kira care about something like masculinity? no... kira is a paragon of justice. he would never misgender someone.)
L: maybe yagami-kun thinks that a name and a face are not enough. does he think kira may also need a gender?
light: interesting theory. is that why you don't have pronouns in your bio, ryuzaki?
light: (ive got him. the other officers will never respect him if they find out L is a transphobe! wait, they're cops. damn it. has this all been for nothing?)
L: ive actually taken the liberty of making fake pronoun pins for everyone in the squad, to ensure your security. here, yagami-kun. or should i say... yagami-chan.
light: neopronouns?! (do i give off nya/nyam/nyaself vibes? or is this another clever ruse? he still hasn't even told me his own pronouns...)
ryuk: hey, light. don't forget about the deal. the shinigami eyes would let you see anyone's pronouns at a glance.
light: (forget it! im not giving up half my life just to they/them ryuzaki!)
L: id just like to flag for the audience that im aware this is a stupid bit but don't worry it's over now

something i noticed while rewatching elsewhere and elsewhen
Okay so here Lilith talks about how she’s trying to calculate the location of the time pools, right? But it’s implied that The Boiling Isles shifted to the empirical system (obvi a pun on imperial) sometime within recent history.
The only event that I can think of that might’ve led to this change is Belos’s rise to power, as he’s the only person in TBI who even knows what a “foot” is. So what I’m kinda getting is that one of the first things Belos did when he became emperor was just. Force everyone to use the imperial system. Which is fucking hilarious to me can u imagine being a witch in 1970 and suddenly this guy with a weird mask makes it illegal to do wild magic and also you have to start using inches. I’d be so confused.
He probably did it just bc he’s lazy too. Bro got sick of trying to figure out what the fuck ppl were talking abt and proceeded to overhaul the entire mathematical system. This is a piece of underrated foreshadowing why haven’t I seen a single person talk abt this???

FE OC Week Day 5 - Joy!
if I'm going to talk about what brings Summoner Leigh joy, obviously tea is the first thing that comes to mind (followed closely by objects that are colour coordinated red/black). to say I've gone overboard with the tea references while developing their story may be a bit of an understatement.
(art by cceesawstudios)
I think at this point it's safe to say their love language is sharing a hot pot of tea with those they care about, which I guess falls under quality time? since their arrival in Askr, not a day has gone by where they haven't had a cup of tea in their hand at some point. sorry Anna, we need to invest in more tea sets!
in all seriousness though, tea is so important to Leigh because it reminds them of some place they can't quite remember but those memories are filled with a comforting kind of love. now when they bond over tea with others, they can make their own happy memories that they'll never forget! this is especially true when it comes to festivals in Askr, like the Day of Devotion! their weapon takes the form of a ceramic flower vase in the shape of a teapot, overflowing with lilacs and roses.
(art by Byhengg)
Summoner Leigh was even more thrilled when they heard that the Order of Heroes would be welcoming heroes for a special tea service! they would feel right at home in this setting. hypothetically if they were summonable on this banner (with Gunter), it would go something like the following:
(you can read the complete set of unit lines I wrote for them here)
I could just go on for hours about how much Leigh loves tea!! to conclude this post though, I'll end with one little headcanon:
Gunter ends up proposing over teatime :') more specifically, he has a set of teacups crafted with one that says "will you marry me?" painted on the bottom. Leigh doesn't see it coming and just thinks it's one of their regular ole teatimes together. having had tea with Leigh countless times over the years, Gunter times it perfectly so that when they finish their tea and read the message, he's already down on one knee.

Finally rewatching some doctor who, and the episode 'midnight' is such a different experience now what the fuck.
Spent the first half of the episode like "wait the doctor IS being reasonable this is an undiscovered lifeform its just trying to learn things its not its fault people think its creepy </3" and also "this is a bit more contrived than I remember. Why are all these tourists down for Murder after 20 minutes of someone repeating what they say." But of course the episode is having so much fun with itself that I'm having fun too <3
Anyway my crack theory is that the midnight creature is post-finale bill, due to the line, while possessing someone, of "I can move, I can feel again, I'm coming back to life" and all the really obvious evil little smiles
