Ternyata Imam Syafi'i memiliki Murid "Slow Learner" dan Begini Cara Mengajarnya.

Sangat mengesankan pada apa yang ditulis oleh Imam Baihaqi dalam kitab Manaqib Imam Syafii, bagaimana cara Imam Syafii, sebagai guru mengajar salah satu muridnya yang sangat lamban dalam memahami pelajaran.

Sang Murid itu adalah Ar Rabi’ bin Sulaiman, murid paling slow learner. Berkali-kali diterangkan oleh sang guru Imam Syafii, tapi Robi’tak juga faham. Setelah menerangkan pelajaran, Imam Syafii bertanya,

“Rabi’ Sudah faham paham belum ?”

“Belum faham, ”jawab Rabi’.

Dengan kesabarannya, sang guru mengulang lagi pelajaranya,lalu ditanya kembali, ”sudah faham belum? Belum.

Berulang diterangkan sampai 39x Rabi’ tak juga paham.

Merasa mengecewakan gurunya dan juga malu, Rabi’ beringsut pelan-pelan keluar dari majelis ilmu. Selesai memberi pelajaran Imam Syafii mencari Robi’, melihat muridnya. Imam Syafi'i berkata, ”Robi’ kemarilah, datanglah ke rumah saya !”.

Sebagai seorang guru, sang imam sangat memahami perasaan muridnya, maka beliau mengundangnya untuk belajar secara privat.

Sang Imam mengajarkan Rabi’ secara privat, dan ditanya kembali, ”Sudah paham belum ?

Hasilnya? Rabi’ bin Sulaiman tidak juga paham.

Apakah Imam Asy-Syafi’i berputus asa?

Menghakimi Rabi’ bin Sulaiman sebagai murid bodoh? Sekali-kali tidak. Beliau berkata,

”Muridku, sebatas inilah kemampuanku mengajarimu. Jika kau masih belum paham juga, maka berdoalah kepada Allah agar berkenan mengucurkan ilmu-Nya untukmu. Saya hanya menyampaikan ilmu. Allah-lah yang memberikan ilmu. Andai ilmu yang aku ajarkan ini sesendok makanan, pastilah aku akan menyuapkannya kepadamu.”

Mengikuti nasihat gurunya, Rabi’ bin Sulaiman rajin sekali bermunajat berdoa kepada Allah dalam kekhusyukan. Ia juga membuktikan doa-doanya dengan kesungguhan dalam belajar. Keikhlasan, kesalehan, dan kesungguhan, inilah amalannya Rabi’ bin Sulaiman.

Tahukah kita? Rabi’ bin Sulaiman kemudian berkembang menjadi salah satu ulama besar Madzhab Syafi’i dan termasuk perawi hadis yang sangat kredibel dan terpercaya dalam periwayatannya.

Sang slow learner bermetamorfosis menjadi seorang ulama besar.

Inilah buah dari kesabaran Imam Asy-Syafi’i dalam mengajar dan mendidik.

Adakah kita, para guru dan orangtua bisa meneladani kesabaran Imam Syafii dalam mengajar ?

Berapa kuat kita meyakini bahwa tidak ada anak dan murid yang bodoh?

Sudahkan kita, para guru dan orangtua mendoakan anak-anak dan murid didik kita agar difahamkan pelajaran ?

Sudahkan kita, para guru dan orangtua Memotivasi anak murid kita agar gigih berdoa kepada Allah Taala?

91619) I've become pretty good at coping with my BPD and restriction by now so I can feel when I'm going into psychosis or slipping out of control, but now I feel so fake because I'm not supposed to know when I'm psychotic right? I'm only supposed to be hurting and realise only when people are hurt by my behaviours and words, not when these disorders are hurting me.

Happy Sunday! I missed church due to me being absolutely exhausted but I did listen to the sermon before bed.

Today, to get grandmas mind off everything we went out for a ride/dinner and it was SO GOOD. I’m in love with good food lol

Even though I’m all unpacked I still have things I have to put in storage which I’m dreading. All in all, very good Sunday!

SN: I have realized over the last couple years that some people are committed to being misunderstood/victimized. It’s a lot of those in society today. Instead of walking a careful line I will be authentically myself with good intentions and let the higher power (God) work on the rest. No one should have to diminish themselves to appease anyone.
