Far Cry 7 Leaks!
okay. so a few weeks ago I saw this video from one of my fave youtube channels.
youtube
TLDR (6:39 mark on video):
-Non-linear story
-The story centered around saving the player character's kidnapped family
-The premise of the campaign is for the player to rescue their entire family within a specific time frame (in-game timer 72 hours, 24 hours in real-time (timer can be paused when the player enters on of their safehouses)
-Family members can be killed off which can impact the story.
-New interrogation mechanic; enemies can lie or remain quiet or help, kinda like LA Noire.
-Game planned for Fall 2025
-Game will be developed by Ubisoft Montreal and will move away from the Dunia engine to Snowdrop (The Division engine)
SO TODAY, I saw this clip on youtube:
TLDR:
-(TBD) Title: Far Cry Rise
-New setting is a small island off the coast of South Korea
-Lead villain played by Lee Jung-Jae from Squid Games.
-North Korean insurgents have taken your siblings.
-Campaign can be done in co-op mode
-Player character can be male or female
-New multiplayer mode called Conquest (open-world extraction mode) --> squads of three complete a series of objectives and engage with 90 other real players in search of valuable items while struggling to survive until extraction.
Update 10.6.23 [from this article]
-FC7 may combine elements from the highly regarded FC3 and FC5
-Return of narrative designer and lead writer Drew Holmes suggests that FC7 may carry over and expand his previous vision and ideas from FC5
-The setting is a tropical island called Kimsan, located in the "Yellow Sea next to Korea"

“HUMAN SACRIFICE BY CULT ALLEGED,” Montreal Gazette. February 9, 1933. Page  2. ---- Aged Woman's Family Held Victim Strangled, Authorities Claim --- Inez, Ky., February 8. - From the hills of Kentucky came today the weird story of an alleged human sacrifice, offered up in the bizarre rites of a mountain cult.
Praying and shouting in the "unknown tongue," a gibberish peculiar to mountain folk, seven members of a family were held in the Martin County jail here tonight in connection with the death of Mrs. Lucinda Mills, 72-year-old mountaineer mother.
Officers who arrested them near Tomahawk, west of Inez, charged the aged woman had been strangled with a chain, drawn tightly about her throat. They said they broke into the barred home of the Mills family as plans were being made to place the body on an altar.
Rites that culminated in the alleged sacrifice lasted for many hours, officers said, and were preceded by a period of fasting that began in the Mills home on Friday.
Similar rites had been held frequently in the little settlement, the officers asserted, since a revival meeting last year when the village was aroused to a height of religious frenzy.

This work looks like I am looking into a young girl's diary. The moment that brings me the most joy in this piece is the pink sparkly backpack that the piece of ribbon is snaking out of. This work is just amazing, to see all the items someone has collected on one plane, to try and figure out why they were meaningful to her, and how all these items are in conversation with each other is the kind of experience that makes me just sit and look at a word of art for hours.

Halifax hospital discharges patient who threatened self-harm hours earlier
The father of a 23-year-old man who struggles with addiction and mental health issues is speaking out over what he believes are significant gaps in mental health and addictions service in Nova Scotia.
Marc Nantel says his son is addicted to drugs and has recently threatened to harm himself. He says his son was in and out of the QEII Health Sciences Centre three times this past week.
One night while inside, Nantel says his son pretended to go to the bathroom but instead grabbed fire extinguishers, set off alarms and went onto of the roof of the hospital where his father said he threatened to jump.
Nantel says the police responded, talked his son down and the next morning his son was released from the hospital.
“When somebody threatens to jump off the roof of the building especially the hospital they’re being attended at and then less than 12 hours later have three psychiatrists -- two legit psychiatrists and a student -- stand in front of you and tell you know we have nowhere to put you. You have to leave,” he said.
In between two of the times his son was in hospital this past week, Nantel says he dropped his son off at an appointment at a recovery support centre in Dartmouth.
“And they told him ‘we have no place to put you, we have no rooms, there’s no rooms in the shelter. Your best option is to go from shelter to shelter to see where you can find a place to stay,’” he said.
After the past week, Nantel is sending his son to a detox program in Montreal, which he said he and his family have to pay for.
“I can do that in 12 hours and send him to a different province. But yet in 72 hours, I cannot get my son to mental health help in my own province that I pay taxes and that he pays taxes,” he said.
Nova Scotia Health (NSH) spokesperson Brendan Elliott said NSH can’t comment on a specific patient’s care and treatment but says when someone visits the emergency department experiencing a mental health crisis it is always taken extremely seriously.
“The decision to keep someone in hospital is made by gaining an understanding of the whole person – not by a single moment or incident,” Elliott said, pointing out it’s important to note not everyone seeking mental health and addictions care requires treatment from a psychiatrist or an inpatient stay.
“If we can identify a plan that includes ongoing care and resources in the community, that person may not need to remain in hospital,” he said.
On Thursday afternoon, a social worker with Nova Scotia Health’s Mental Health Urgent Care Service reached out to Nantel’s son to offer help.
Nantel said his son declined for now because he and his son are leaving for Montreal Friday morning to begin his son’s detox program.

Former Naples doctor takes plea deal, gets 4½ years on child porn charges
A former Naples urologist accused of possessing child pornography accepted a plea deal Friday, marking the conclusion of a drawn-out, five-year-old case.
Collier Circuit Court Judge Michael Provost sentenced Nicholas Franco, 62, to 4½ years in state prison. Franco had been arrested in 2012 and charged with 100 counts of possession of child pornography.
The maximum sentence could have been five years for each count, said Assistant State Attorney Steve Maresca.
But because the "credibility and candor" of the lead detective were called into question while the case was pending, prosecutors did not have the leverage needed "for a longer sentence," Samantha Syoen, a spokeswoman for the State Attorney's Office, said in an email.
Once his sentence is served, Franco will have 72 hours to leave the country and relocate to Montreal to live with family there, said James Benjamin, Franco’s attorney.
If Franco doesn't comply or returns to the U.S. after his sentence is served, he will have to report to Collier authorities for 15 years of sex offender probation, Benjamin said.
“But the defendant will not be placed on probation if he leaves the country after his incarcerative sentence within the 72 hours,” Benjamin said.
Provost denied Franco’s request to delay the surrender date for five months so he could repair his hurricane-damaged home, sell it and prepare his family for the relocation.
“I'm not going to do five months,” Provost said. “It's way too long.”

More:Judge: Four-year child porn case against Naples doctor will proceed
Instead, Provost ordered Franco to return Jan. 12 to surrender and start his prison term. Until then, Franco cannot leave the 20th Judicial Circuit, which covers Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry and Lee counties, except for trips to see his doctor in Miami-Dade County.
Franco, who has been out on bail since his 2012 arrest, attended Friday’s hearing, dressed in a suit and tie. He pleaded no contest.
In June 2012, detectives executed a search warrant at Franco's home in North Naples. They found a laptop containing 100 videos of child pornography, according to a detective's affidavit.
Stymied by a series of discovery delays, motions, depositions and accusations by defense attorneys that detectives weren’t turning over evidence, the 2012 case slogged through the court system for years.
Also during the run-up to Friday's hearing, the Collier County Sheriff's Office detective who investigated the case and arrested Franco was fired for violating the agency's policy, according to an internal report.
Detective Scott Rapisarda was fired Aug. 7 after an internal investigation found he notarized his own signature in a request for a subpoena and "willfully departed from the truth during a sworn deposition and under oath" in interviews with investigators, the report states.
The internal investigation was initiated when Franco's former defense attorney, Yale Freeman, filed a complaint with the Sheriff's Office, alleging the detective had violated his client's rights and the agency's policies.
In his appeal to the Sheriff's Office findings, Rapisarda acknowledged he "could have done better" in handling the subpoena request but denied the allegations made by investigators and Freeman, and said his actions didn't significantly affect the investigation.
When reached to comment Friday, Rapisarda said he was "painted as the bad guy" after working with the Sheriff's Office for more than 20 years and was not afforded an opportunity to explain his side to Sheriff Kevin Rambosk.
"Franco collects and possessed and distributed child pornography and tries to paint himself as a victim," Rapisarda said in an email.
"I maintain that I always worked to the highest standards with the CCSO; which is documented by numerous awards and accolades. I dedicated myself to these type (of) cases and maintain that I did not have a voice in this matter, meaning I do not feel I was given a fair shot or heard in my attempt to appeal the egregious decision that was made to withdraw my appointment."
Benjamin, Franco's current attorney, said his client was looking forward to resolving his case Friday.
“It was a long, long litigated case, which resulted in the firing of a Collier County detective,” he said. “Dr. Franco wanted to get this behind him, and it's in the best interest of him and his family to move on with his life.”

The Flood Gates Are Officially Open for NHL Trade Season
In the last 72 hours, we've seen two major deadline pieces moved, suggesting the action around the league is set to pick up. The first domino to fall was Elias Lindholm. Lindholm was shipped from Calgary off to Vancouver for a hefty return, that included 27-year-old scoring winger Andre Kuzmenko.
Now reports indicate 11-year NHL veteran Sean Monahan headed west once again landing in Winnipeg with the Jets. Monahan has recorded 13G, 22A, with 104 SOG this season while playing 2C for the Montreal Canadiens, who received a 1st round selection, and a conditional pick as compensation from the Jets.
Thats now 3 of the top 10 players from TSN’s Trade Bait board that have been moved, a full month before the NHL trade deadline.
It was just one year ago the Vancouver Canucks were involved in cracking open the egg that is trade season as well. They traded Bo Horvat to the New York islanders on Jan 30, 2023. That started what was a flurry of a trade deadline last year, that was rambunctiously active, and caused the actual deadline day to be a snooze. It was only 9 days after the Canucks completed their initial trade with the Islanders that Vladimir Tarasenko was traded from St. Louis to The Rangers, and within two weeks Toronto was involved in the action as well, acquiring Ryan O’Reilly and Noel Acciari from St louis. I expect something similar from this year's trade season.
It's time to get excited, silly season has begun.

Is a Vasectomy Right for You? Exploring the Top 10 Benefits
Tumblr media
Considering birth control options? While a vasectomy may not be the initial choice, it's a remarkably effective method for preventing future pregnancies. Delve into the top 10 benefits of a vasectomy to make an informed decision.
What are the financial advantages of a vasectomy?
Vaectomies in Ottawa are often covered by insurance, making them a cost-effective option compared to other birth control methods, even with partial payment.
How effective is a vasectomy in preventing pregnancy?
The chance of pregnancy when a partner undergoes a vasectomy is less than 1%, showcasing its high efficacy.
What are the risks associated with vasectomies?
Vasectomies are low-risk surgeries, performed without general anesthesia, with minimal complications (0.1% to 2%) such as pain, infection, or bleeding.
Where is the procedure conducted, and how long does it take?
The surgery is performed in your doctor's office, and at Dr. Bercier's vasectomy clinic in Montreal, it typically takes about 10 minutes.
How quick is the recovery process?
Recovery is swift; you can return home immediately after surgery and resume work within a few days, although 48 to 72 hours of rest is recommended.
What are the advantages for the partner?
A vasectomy alleviates the burden of birth control on your partner, providing a balanced approach to contraceptive decisions.
How does it enhance peace of mind?
If concerns exist about other contraceptive methods, a vasectomy offers increased peace of mind, eliminating worries about pill reliability or condom breakage.
Is vasectomy reversible?
While considered a permanent birth control method, a vasectomy reversal may be possible if plans change in the future, but it's not guaranteed.
What about STD prevention?
It's crucial to note that vasectomies don't prevent STDs; an alternative birth control method is necessary for about 3 months post-procedure.
When is the right time for a vasectomy?
Getting a vasectomy is a serious decision. If certain about not wanting children, discussing it with your partner and doctor beforehand is vital. Hesitation suggests it may not be the right time, and any concerns can be addressed with a consultation at Clinic Vasectomy.

HARTFORD WOLF PACK REPORTER'S NOTEBOOK
Tumblr media Tumblr media
By: Gerry Cantlon, Hartford Wolf Pack HARTFORD, CT - The Hartford Wolf Pack announced their home game promotional schedule for the 2023-34 season. It features the return of last year's successful "Pucks and Paws" event, where fans can bring their beloved dogs to the game. The date for the "Pucks and Paws" game is December 22nd against the Bridgeport Islanders. That date is one of the season's 72-game schedule featuring 36 home dates. Another favorite returning is "Hops and Hockey Night" on December 30th, also against the Islanders. HARTFORD RELATED PLAYER MOVES Ex-Pack goalie Keith Kinkaid has dissolved his association with the Chicago Wolves. He signed a one-year, two-way deal with the New Jersey Devils and their AHL affiliates, the Utica Devils. The contract pays $775K in the NHL and $350K for games in the AHL. There are reports he could still be assigned to Chicago if he is reassigned to the AHL. A trusted West Coast NHL team source said of Kinkaid, "He can play well. We talked with two teams he has played for. We got a thumbs down on him. He's not a good locker room guy. So, we opted not to sign or offer him a deal." Rayen Petrovický, the son of former Hartford Whaler/Ranger Róbert Petrovický, signs with HC Liberec (Czechia-CEL). He was then loaned to VHK Vestin Czechia (Czech Republic) Division-II. The move makes him eligible to play for both teams next season. CONNOR BLEACKLEY Connor Bleackley, another ex-Pack, moves on from the Maine Mariners (ECHL), who are coached by ex-Pack Terrance Wallin (Hotchkiss Prep), to the Rapid City Rush (ECHL). Incidentally, Bleackley was the last Wolf Pack player signed before the pandemic hit. The Pack were severely shorthanded for a game against the Providence Bruins. Bleackley was signed after the Pack saw three players suspended from a brawl in Springfield against the Thunderbirds a few days earlier. Those three were Vinni Letterieri, now with the Iowa Wild, Mason Geersten, playing for the Henderson Silver Knights, and the retired Matt Beleskey. Then there were injury issues in New York, and then captain Steve Fogarty was on an emergency recall in Colorado by the Rangers, which necessitated the signing of Bleackley. After the loss to the Bruins, then Pack Danny O'Regan told Howlings in his post-game comments, "You can't construct a lineup in 36 hours and expect to win." EX-BRIDGEPORT PLAYERS ON THE MOVE Some ex-Sound Tigers get some new addresses. Casey Bailey signs a PTO deal with Ottawa. Connor McCarthy, who played part-time over the last two years with the Islanders after training camp, was dropped by HC Banska Bystrica (Slovakia-SLEL). He signs with St. Georges-de-Beauce (LNAH). Kieffer Bellows signs a deal with the Carolina Hurricanes, and Mark Louis, who played briefly in Bridgeport, departs Cardiff (Wales-EIHL) and signs with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits (ECHL). CASSELS FAMILY STAYING ACTIVE Cruz Cassels, the youngest son of former Whaler Andrew Cassels, is with the Ohio Jr. Blue Jackets U-14 AAA (T1EHL). Birk, his second son, is also with their program. He plays with the Ohio Jr. Blue Jackets U-18 AAA (T1EHL) and is an Ottawa 67's (OHL) 2022 Draftee. His oldest, Cole, played with both Södertälje SK (Sweden-Allsvenskan) and the Belleville Senators last year. He just signed a one-year deal with San Jose Barracuda (AHL) for next season. Their cousins are in the NHL. Justin Barron is with the Montreal Canadiens, while ex-Pack Morgan Barron is with the Winnipeg Jets. Morgan signed a two-year extension earlier this summer. ROB MALLOY Cheshire native and former Hartford Jr. Wolf Pack, Rob "Bert" Malloy, confirmed via e-mail from New South Wales that he is happy to decompress from his one-win season for his local AIHL expansion team, the Central Coast Rhinos. Malloy hopes to return next season for a better season in the league's 23rd year. He finished second in team scoring with ten goals and 31 points in 19 games. Malloy hopes to get one more crack at the Australian National team in April when they play at the IIHF Group A Division II tournament in Serbia. He will hope to start with a three-game series against neighbor and Southern Hemispheric rival, New Zealand, and looks to lengthen his play from last year's tournament in Madrid, where he suffered a broken jaw in their game against Israel. That led to a harrowing experience in a Spanish hospital where nobody spoke English. 16 native Australians are on the national team. Malloy hopes in his post-season career, whenever it starts, to coach at the junior level with the Central Coast Stingrays team and help grow the game in Australia. NHL DOWN UNDER Malloy, like others, is anxiously waiting for the NHL exhibition games to be played this week in the Land Down Under at the Rod Laver Arena. They will be the first two NHL games ever to be played there. The two games will air the pair of Los Angeles Kings - Arizona Coyotes contests on the NHL Network. The games will be played on Friday, September 22nd, and September 23rd at 9 p.m., 17 hours ahead in the Pacific time zone, where they will be played at 2 p.m. local time. Melbourne's ice hockey rink seats only 1,500. The Henke Rink at the O'Brien Icehouse in the Dockland's precinct of Melbourne is home to two AIHL teams, the Ice and Mustangs. A building only seating 1,500 is not suitable for NHL hockey. The first Australian to score an NHL goal was Nathan Walker, now with the St. Louis Blues. "Stormy" Walker scored in his NHL debut on October 7th, 2017, with the Washington Capitals. He was born in Cardiff, Wales, but raised in Sydney, Australia. Jorden Spence of the LA Kings will be on one of the teams as an Australian native born in Manly, New South Wales - NSW, Australia. His family moved to Osaka, Japan, and eventually landed in Cornwall, PEI (Prince Edward Island), Canada. The first Australian ever drafted was Darren Gani (Perth, AUS). He grew up in Scarborough, Ontario, and back in 1984, he participated in the Edmonton Oilers' training camp. MORE AUSSIE NEWS One of the other three players with a little Aussie in them includes ex-Pack and current Ranger Bryce Harpur. He is a dual-born citizen; his mother, Margery, is Australian. Ex-King, who played briefly with the Wolf Pack, Steve McKenna, played in the AIHL (Adelaide Avalanche) and coached the Australian national team for a few years. No Australian has his name on the Stanley Cup. Just one Australian player is in the Hockey Hall of Fame. Tommy Dunderdale of Benalla, AUS, was inducted post-humously in 1974. He was credited with the very first penalty-shot goal in NHL history. He was a prominent player in the early 20th century as he skated with the Pacific Coast Hockey Association (PCHA). Dunderdale grew up, learned hockey in Winnipeg, and played against the Montreal Canadiens before they were in the NHL. The 114-year-old Goodall Cup is awarded each season to the AIHL champion. Two weeks ago, it was awarded to the Melbourne Mustangs. The Goodall Cup is the fifth oldest trophy competed for in hockey. Three Southern Hemisphere countries are full members of the IIHF in ice hockey. They include South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. Just seven NHL players in league history have been born in that hemisphere. The Arizona Coyotes, at its temporary home in Tempe, the Mullett Arena at ASU (Arizona State University), is 8,227 miles from Melbourne. The LA Kings will travel 7,932 miles to play the game. The Halifax Mooseheads (QMJHL) have Alec Nasredinne, the son of former Sound Tiger player and current Dallas assistant coach Alain Nasredinne. They also have Brady Schultz (Monroe, CT), the grandson of former Whaler Norm Barnes, and Liam Kilfoil, formerly of Selects Academy at South Kent Pre,p on their lineup as the junior season gets underway. In other moves, Pat Harper (AOF/New Canaan) signed a training camp Professional Try-Out (PTO) contract with the Arizona Coyotes. Connor Stokes, with the Selects Academy at South Kent Prep program, commits to the Sault Ste. Marie Eagles (NOJHL). HARTFORD WOLF PACK HOME Read the full article

My Goals for the Year of the Rabbit
So now that the "real" new year is finally upon us, I feel like I can actually capture some real plans for the forthcoming trip around the sun. Although, truth be told, I have been struggling a bit this month, so I really needed that buffer to get my thoughts together and assess what I may and may not be able to accomplish this year.
Last year was not at all what I hoped it would be, and if I'm honest, this year is looking to be quite a doozy thanks to some serious health issues I'm currently dealing with. So it's hard to make any realistic plans.
But at the same time, I don't feel like my real self if I don't make any plans at all. I need that semblance of structure if I hope to maintain my sanity, if you will. So here we are. Or should I say ... here it goes.
Here are my resolutions/plans/goals for 2023 or the Year of the Rabbit ...

Tumblr media
9. Continue shadow work and art therapy projects 🧘🏽🖌️🎨
Tumblr media Tumblr media
10. Set aside “Me Time” for 1 hour each week for self-care activities (coloring book, journaling, jigsaw puzzle time, dancing around the house, reading a book or fanfiction, scrapbooking, etc.) 🕊️
Tumblr media
11. Plan for multi-day vacation trip in 2024 (Montreal, Boston, or elsewhere) 🧳
Tumblr media Tumblr media
12. Take a one-day road trip to Princeton, the Hamptons, Cape May, or Salem, MA 🚙
