I don't know who my favourite author would be because I read five fanfics a day if not more and I never remember the author. I can only say that there are some very good writers in this fandom.

What’s it been like growing up with the band these past 10 years?

Michael: I’m the only person in the band without siblings, so I never really knew what it was like to have a brother. So when we started the band and we were all of a sudden out on the road, it was a weird adjustment for me as an only child to want to put someone else first.

As an only child, you really have to go through something in your life where you change the way that you view – not necessarily sharing – but how you view your relationship with other people. Having the other three guys, and all of us go through that same journey together and create something that we dreamed about and were able to manifest it and put it out there in the world – it made me believe in the idea that if you dream something and think you can possibly get there, there’s nothing saying you can’t, you know? You’re totally capable of doing it, you just need the right support system and right level of determination, and that was, for us, the best thing.

Doing it as all four of us together – we all have that same determination, and if at any point any of us were like “God, I don’t know if I want to do this”, there was another guy to be like “Dude, you got this, pick yourself up and keep going”. Learning what it’s like to have brothers, pretty much. I don’t think there’s any difference in having a real brother versus what me and the four guys have been through – to me, they’re basically as close to blood as I can imagine.
