En treinta y cinco segundos la historia pasa del posible 1-2 de Países Bajos al gol definitivo que dará el pase de España a semifinales del Mundial. Salma Paralluelo emuló sus años como atleta con una carrera para el recuerdo, un recorte puramente de extremo y un golazo para la historia de la selección española de fútbol ante Países Bajos en los cuartos del Mundial femenino 2023. La zaragozana fue la gran heroína del partido que mete a España por primera vez en las semifinales de un Mundial haciendo gala de unas habilidades aprendidas en sus primeros años, cuando no estaba tan pegada al balón.

11 de julio de 2022. Exactamente un año y un mes antes de este 11 de agosto en que ha modificado el rumbo de la historia, Salma cambió la suya: firma su contrato como jugadora del Fútbol Club Barcelona y con ello anuncia que abandona el atletismo definitivamente. Llevaba desde los 7 años compaginando sus dos pasiones: atletismo y fútbol. Dos deportes que le han acompañado allí donde ha viajado. La jugadora destacó en la selección sub-17 con la fue parte del histórico equipo que logró el doblete Europeo-Mundial en 2018.

"Doble fichaje" con el Villarreal y sus primeros oros en atletismo
En el mismo año en el que ganó todo con la sub-17 de fútbol, Paralluelo tuvo tiempo de establecer la mejor marca mundial del año en categoría sub-16 en 300 metros vallas y 300 metros lisos. 
A finales del 2019 realizó un 'doble fichaje' por el Villarreal para jugar al fútbol con el submarino amarillo, llevarle hasta Primera Divisón y competir contra el crono con el Playas de Castellón, club con el que logró la medalla de oro en 400m vallas y en relevo medley en el Festival Olímpico de la Juventud Europea.
Con 15 años se convirtió en la atleta más joven en participar en un Campeonato de Europa absoluto y recibió el galardón Premio Princesa de Asturias a la mejor deportista menor de 18 años.

Con el Villarreal, Salma anotó 15 goles antes de lesionarse de gravedad en la rodilla izquierda y se perdió la celebración del histórico ascenso de su club, habiendo sido pieza fundamental, el europeo sub-20 de fútbol y el Campeonato del Mundo de relevos absolutos en Polonia.

La decisión final, el año pasado, en el FC Barcelona
La jugadora regresó ya con 18 años para ser MVP del Mundial que ganó España en la categoría sub-20  una de las mejores jugadoras de la temporada 21/22 y llamar a las puertas del FC Barcelona. Sin embargo, el fichaje, realizado el año pasado, conllevaba una decisión crucial: elegir entre el fútbol o el atletismo. La aragonesa sólo podía elegir por uno. Y se decantó por el balón.

En su primera temporada con el Barça, Salma se consagró campeona de Liga, Supercopa de España y Champions. Su actuación con las azulgrana le llevó hasta la absoluta, con un debut dorado el 12 de noviembre de 2022 donde le marcó un hat-trick a Argentina en un amistoso. No podía empezar mejor la historia de Salma con la selección de fútbol. La misma que quedará ya marcada para siempre por su gol en Wellington a Países Bajos.

Anyika 37, is a retired British sprint track and field athlete who competed in the 100 metres, 200 metres and 400 metres, and also the 4×100 metres relay and 4x400 metres relay.
  Anyika is one of the few GB athletes of the past 20 years to achieve a full set of major medals.She has won medals at the Olympic Games, the world championships, Commonwealth Games and European championships.
  Anyika has published a book about her life called - My Hidden Race.

- Athlete is in his blood. his mother was an athlete in her school days.
- Anas was always a long jumper but his coach sibi who gave him a chance try out 400m, once as they were a man short, at that state meet, he came a surprising third, ahead of many who had been training in that discipline for years. he ran it in close to 49 seconds. After that, he stopped doing long jump and started focusing only on 400m.
- He has won the Calicut University Championship twice, and bagged silver medal in the Indian University Championship-2014. He was part of the 4x400 m relay squad of Kerala that won silver medal in the National Games-2015, where he was picked up by the talent scouting team of the Indian Navy.
- Anas participated in two events at the 2016 Summer Olympics: the 400 metres and the 4 × 400 m relay. 
- In July 2016, Anas was part of the relay team that broke the national 4 × 400 metres relay at Bangalore and qualified for the Olympics. The quartet of Anas, Kunhu Mohammed, Ayyasamy Dharun and Arokia Rajiv clocked 3:00:91, rewriting the national record of 3:02.17 set by themselves four weeks earlier in Turkey. The performance also helped the relay team jump to 13th place in the world rankings.
- He broke the national record in 400 metres at the Polish Athletics Championship in Poland in June 2016, clocking 45.40 seconds, the exact qualification mark for the Olympics. He thus became the third Indian athlete to qualify for the event at the Olympics, after Milkha Singh (1956 and 1960) and K. M. Binu (2004).
- Muhammed won the gold medal, bettering his own 400m Indian record with the timing of 45.24s, at the Cena Noveho Mesta nad Metuji meet in Czech Republic on 21st July 2018, his previous best timing was 45.31s which he set at the CG 2018 in Gold Coast,Queensland.
