Nominees Announced For The "54th NAACP Image Awards" Airing Live Saturday, February 25th At 7:00 PM CT On BET
Today, NAACP unveiled the full list of “54th NAACP Image Awards” nominees with ABC and Netflix leading the pack with 28 and 15 nominations respectively. The winners will be revealed during the two-hour LIVE TV special, airing Saturday, February 25th, 2023 at 8:00 PM ET on BET and 8:00 PM PT on delay. The show will be in front of an audience for the first time in three years.
Netflix and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever lead nominations across the motion picture categories with 15 and 12 nominations respectively. ABC and Abbott Elementary received the most nominations in the television + streaming categories with 28 and nine nominations respectively. Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar are tied for the most nominations in the music recording categories (5 respectively). RCA Records / RCA Inspiration received the most nominations across record labels (11). Penguin Random House and Harper Collins lead nominations across literary categories (9).

The public can vote to determine the winners of the “54th NAACP Image Awards” by visiting www.naacpimageawards.net. Voting closes on February 10, 2023. Winners will be revealed during the “54th NAACP Image Awards” telecast on February 25, 2023, on BET. NAACP will also recognize winners in non-televised Image Awards categories February 20-24, which will stream on www.naacpimageawards.net. Her movies got pushed so we did not get what we were waiting to see, but do you have a favorite (or multiple?) Zendaya moment this year? Additionally fave TZ moment if you feel like going down memory lane.
Although everything was pushed, Z did have many good moments this year, some of my favourite ones are:
NAACP image awards - Idk, if this is an unpopular opinion, but I liked this Prada dress more than the ‘main’ one.
SAG awards - This dress was a perfect goodbye to Valentino, an end of a chapter.
Z’s first appearance as the Ambassador of Louis Vuitton
+ Z at the LV’s Spring 2024 Show
And of course Zendaya’s appearance at the Coachella
One of my all time favourite TZ moments is them just showing up in India, I think nobody could have predicted that, but they also looked great doing it.

Winning in the category of Outstanding Gospel/Christian Album, their NAACP Image Awards win was announced on the show’s virtual awards first night that streamed on https://naacpimageawards.net/ on February 20th, with the winners unveiled in many of the music recording categories. The week-long NAACP Image Awards celebration will continue to unveil more winners, honoring the achievements and legacy of Black excellence spanning the categories of film, television, music, literature, activism and more.
The NAACP Image Awards win for Kingdom Book One follows the album’s most recent wins at the 2023 GRAMMYⓇ Awards that took place February 5th, where the album and two featured songs garnered 3 GRAMMYⓇ Awards. Released in 2022, the live album project with Kirk Franklin and the group Maverick City Music was recorded together with the voices of 1,300 inmates in a Florida prison yard, bringing awareness to mass incarceration, and sharing in the power of experiencing God’s love, finding comfort and healing.
