Athena lifted her hands from Bobby’s neck to cradle his face. “Baby, look at me.”

The anguish on his face nearly broke her heart. She gave one of his cheeks a small squeeze. “What are you so afraid of?”

Bobby shook his head. “I don’t want to hurt you.”

Athena hummed as she nodded. She’d figured as much. Oh how she loved this man and the very careful and gentle ways he loved her. She wasn’t sure any man had ever made her feel quite so cherished. Still, she was a very capable and grown woman. There wasn’t just one way of doing things.

She pulled lightly at the hair on the base of his neck and kissed his cheek. “I’m not fragile, baby. There is no need to be gentle this time. You aren’t going to hurt me.”

He opened his mouth, no doubt a protest on his lips, but she covered it with a finger. She winked. “Come on, and show me what you got.”
