Do you have some fun facts about Enzo to share? Just wanna to know the guy a bit better.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is Enzo Vincenzo! I've gotten a TON of asks about him, but was waiting to finish some art and work his story/character a bit more before answering! He's a character we thought up in 2014-15ish, but only recently worked in depth on his development. Pre apologies here, I'm longwinded when talking about my characters! (also it is 3:13am and I'm feeling silly)
Enzo is a secondary character in the comic, friend of the main character kind of deal. My cowriter and I love Enzo and are very happy that everyone else seems to like him too! We are making sure to develop all our characters as much as the two main characters so that we can create as rich of a story/universe as possible. (like we have so much content you could pick any random minor character and be like "them. make a spinoff about them" and we could just do that immediately we have so much content my brain is going to explode)
Enzo and Lennon are high school buddies who met sophomore year, shortly before Lennon dropped out. (peep the bottom art of them from their HS years)
Him and Lennon are big into movies. They binge watch them over the weekends or when he's convinced by Lennon to skip classes for the day.
Enzo loves to draw, especially dragons and horror related stuff. He posts his drawings on DeviantArt where he met xXHexiLexi328Xx and fell in love with her. She's also an artist who loves to draw super kawaii anime chibis magical girls and pokemon stuff.
No one thinks Hexi Lexi is a real person. Everyone's like "awh poor Enzo, still single...you'll find someone, buddy." But she's real and from Arkansas. (like that state even exists?)
Enzo loves knives. His favorite one is a switchblade engraved with the name "Colleen." He found Colleen at a Goodwill while he and Lennon were looking for parts to build a "Saw trap." (you know, from the Saw franchise) Enzo thinks he's Billy The Puppet from Saw...I mean, high school Enzo kind of had the same poofy hair and I'm not gonna be the one to tell him he didn't look like that puppet.
Somewhere along the way, early in their friendship, Lennon is convinced Enzo killed his parents. Lennon's never seen Enzo with his parents so I guess that's the only solution, right? It becomes a longstanding rumor/joke... and Lennon's like wow Enzo that's so cool I'm friends with a literal murderer. (Lennon is dumb).
Enzo once wanted to become a priest but then he remembered he was evil.
Enzo is Albanian-Italian and grew up in Cambridge, MA living with his parents and grandparents. His parents are super religious people who work at the restaurant his grandparents own, located in the North End of Boston.
It's a joke that Enzo's like never heard a music once in his life before meeting Lennon who introduced him to guitar. (He's rhythm guitar in Lennon and Tony's band Poison Boy Club)
I feel like I've said a lot of words and stuff. I feel like there's more but it's now 3:40am and my brain is mush. OH later on, Enzo really hones in on his art skills and gets into tattooing, earning himself an internship at a local studio.
Overall, Enzo's a cool, confident dude who's a little scary in a "big guard dog" type of way, but he's a loyal friend and does his own thing and he's with that.

I have been seeing my sorority sisters about every 6 weeks without fail for 15+ years, and people are understandably amazed that we are able to keep this up so regularly for so long. Obviously there have been breaks-- when we all had tiny babies it was a little less frequent, and of course the COVID year, but in general, dinner or brunch every 1-2 months for 15ish years for me, 20 years for them (they are older than me and I didn't join the group until I moved back to Chicago two years after school).
DO YOU WANT TO KNOW THE SECRET?
We never leave without setting the date for our next meeting. Other than special events, like coordinating tickets to a show, we don't leave dinner without setting the date for our next dinner.
It's the only way to do it. You're happy, you're glad to be with your friends, you're undistracted. We've also implemented this rule for my canasta group, and it just works!
Do not trust yourselves to make a plan over text. It's impossible. At the end of the night, pull out your calendar and set the date. The actual plan can come later, but set the date!!!

A few thoughts about the 2x07 cold open:
- this is entirely unimportant in the grand scheme of Siuan related problems, but man are her tattoos different than they were last season
- Moiraine and Siuan have been together for 50 years maybe here, right? Anvaere is 70? The actor is in her 70s. And Moiriaine is maybe 10 years older. So Mo is 80 now and 60 in the flashback. If she and Siuan met at 15ish, they have been together 45 years in the opening scene.
- that timeline is weird for the conversation they’re having. Why has Siuan not met Moiraine’s family? Book Moiraine has a much less pleasant family, and I fully could see her never wanting them to meet Siuan because they definitely might murder Siuan or threaten her to get an advantage over moiraine. But if Mo is fond of her father and eager to see him again and doesn’t think her family will murder Siuan, then it feels weird he hasn’t met Siuan yet.
- and on this note, I honestly miss the sun throne succession plot as a reason for Moiraine to leave. In new spring she kind of runs away to avoid this, and she’s young, and hasn’t been with Siuan for five decades. I miss baby Mo worrying about her temper and being a Damodred and how she thinks she would rule like the rest of her family. I’m sorry this seems to have gotten lost in the aging up (though maybe it’ll happen later).
- I like the fish wives cuteness and their outfits
- oh one more thing! Siuan, what do you mean Moiraine has never cast a net? Isn’t it your job to teach her to fish!

I am thinking about TMNT:HME as I usually am at this hour of the day :)
More about Casey Jones and April since theyre the silliest:
Casey is closest with Raph for obvious reasons and they like to spat a lot ( Casey usually wins because he's literally 2-3 years older but Raph usually puts up a good fight ). Casey has also taught him lots of curse words >:)
April met the turtles first when she was 13, then Casey met them later ( maybe 15ish) in a very similar situation and then met April. They would ex chance stories about their friends without naming any names and when they finally decided to introduce the friend group it turned out to just be the turtles :/
I like to think Casey brought Raph and Donnie and then April brought Leo and Mikey LMAO
Anyway, always down for questions about these guys /np it just helps me develop them and also I think about this iteration every day at 7-9pm like CLOCKWORK

next gen riders headcanons and ocs
Currently working on a THW rewrite and it's going to take me forever, but while I'm working on it here's some descriptions of the kids that are going to be in it. The rewrite takes place much later than the 3rd movie did so Zephyr and Nuffink are older. All the rest are OCs.
Zephyr (12 or 13). Rides a dark blue and green female Monstrous Nightmare named Nightscale. (I'm not attached to this same though). Headstrong and impulsive. She's a protective older sister but her shenanigans tend to get her brother involved in trouble. She's also quick to fight other kids that get in her face.
Nuffink (10 or 11) is shy and quiet, also somewhat mischievous. (Using Homecoming characterization as a suggestion at best) gets into trouble mostly by accident. Curious but also fearful. Wants to be just like his big sister but he's struggling to bond with a dragon cause they kind of freak him out. Like Hiccup, he was born premature, and his birth took a huge toll on Astrid. After that, Hiccup didn't want to risk it and said Nuffink would be their last kid, though Astrid was willing to try again. Because his birth was so difficult and he's so timid, Astrid tends to be more protective of him than she is of Zephyr, which can make Zephyr jealous sometimes. But she and her brother get along well.
Ingrid (around the same age as Zephyr) is one of the 3 (fraternal) Ingerman triplets. She's very intelligent but also vain and bossy. Has a purple and gold female Deadly Nadder called Nightshade. She and Zephyr are frenemies. In terms of appearance, she takes after her mother Ruffnut.
Ingvar is a himbo-in-training. Has good intentions but often puts his foot in his mouth and says the wrong thing. Rides a dark green, male Thunderdrum named Earthshaker. He looks a lot like Fishlegs but more athletic.
Inga is the quiet one of the triplets and spends a lot of time learning about dragons from her father (he's not supposed to have favourites but he sort of does). She's a natural with dragons and spends more time with them than people. She's kind to Nuffink but his aversion to dragons gives them little to talk about. She rides a pale blue male Gronkle. His name is currently Skybuzzer, but will possibly change. She's got a round baby face like her dad.
Rainier the Relentless, officially Rainier Dagurson (14-15) is Dagur and Mala's only child (and there's a good reason why). He's tall and lean with strawberry blonde hair and wears an eyepatch over the eye he lost some years ago...it's a whole thing. Very traumatic. He's an adept fighter and very much wants to be noble and honorable. But he's deeply unhappy with his home life. He's desperate for his mother's approval, but she's very busy and somewhat distant. He has his father's approval, but he doesn't want anything to do with his father. Lots of angst going on. Probably wears a lot of black. Baby Hamlet/Aemond Targ vibes. But he gets along well with his aunt Heather. He rides a female Skrill (which is going to require some pretty protective armor) whose name I'm still thinking of. Potentially Valkyrie, but I'm not sure. Also Rainier weilds a sword.
Nia of the Ayida (15ish) is a daughter of Bayana, a character from the Dragonvine comic. I've named their tribe The Ayida in reference to a West African serpent deity. She's the oldest of 3-4 younger siblings but they're not in the fic. She's a brave fighter but very cocky and her personality instantly rubs Rainier the wrong way. Their rivalry starts almost immediately. She loves taunting him and he just turns red, unable to respond for fear of behaving in an uncouth way. She rides a large blue/green female Silkspanner named Silverweb and also fights with a spear and Silkspanner web net. Silkspanners can glide, swim, and climb very well, but not fly. I imagine they maneuver in a Spider-man-esque way, so her saddle needs to include a very secure harness. Tbh I just started Dragonvine and I'm not too concerned with making it completely accurate.
There will also be 5 OCS who are the children of the Warlords from THW. More on them soon.

I started reading ff when I was 15ish. I ofc started off with Dramione. My absolute fave was Draconian by hepburnettes [thinking of posting a nostalgia rec of wattpad dramione later]. I left ff behind and didn't get back into it until last year in Feb when my best friend sent me a link for Measure of a Man by Inadaze22. I dedicated an entire week just to reading it. I laughed, I cried and I absolutely fell in love with ff again. I cant believe it's been almost one year since I joined ff again coz it feels like it's been years just because I've been shuffling through my fave ships all of last year. So for February I'm thinking of doing a reread of MOAM, the fic that brought me back to Fandom life.❤️🤧

Ooo are Roier and Cellbit a thing in the vampire AU? Or any other ships?
after the different covens come together to form their Giant Coven while they're investigating the Federation, Roier and Cellbit slowly grow closer until feelings start to blossom. After Bobby gets killed (haven't decided how yet) Cellbit ends up helping Roier a lot, which only leads to them getting closer. So yeah, at some point later on in the story the two get together! Though they do have a bit of an on again off again dynamic going on
The other ships present mostly reflect canon as well. Forever originally flirts with Phil because he looks like an old human 'friend' he used to have like 70 years before, but once he gets to know Phil it turns into something much more genuine. Meanwhile, Phil plays into it a bit if he's in a good mood, but he doesn't really reciprocate. Missa is also in love with Phil but he's not around enough for Phil to even pick up on it. Fit also shamelessly flirts with Phil whenever he gets a chance but that's just a joking thing and nothing serious. Still, the Philza effect is real
Wilbur and Quackity were never a Thing but they did meet in a nightclub where they danced together... a lot. After Quackity turned him though Wilbur got very pissed, and later once the binary monster attacks start and the covens start to come together, they run into each other again and Wilbur is not super friendly to Quackity. Even still, there's a lot of romantic tension there
Foolish and Vegetta met about 15ish years before the story and decided to stick together for a while since they were both on their own at the time. Gradually their dynamic grew into more and they're probably the healthiest couple in the group
Cellbit and Forever are still very great friends but act like they've been divorced for decades. No one is sure if there was ever anything romantic there or not and tbh they might not know either
Everyone in the group is convinced Foolish and Bad were together at some point and broke up centuries ago. They were not. They've known each other for 300 years and are literally soulmates but in a negative way
Charlie and Mariana definitely, uh, got up to some stuff while they were raising Juanaflippa together. Their relationship is pretty unclear now since they parted ways after her death

Have ypu read HR where the heroine is as thristy as the hero? I love the hero being so down for the heroine but there is something so good about a heroine being all "look at that beautiful mouth, those long legs and very stromg arms" he looks so hot trying to to take my virtue away from me kind of thing
Yes, definitely!
In A Rogue's Rules for Seduction by Eva Leigh (which is a second chance romance--he left her at the altar) the heroine is, however reluctantly because she wants to stay mad at him, obsessed with the hero's bigness, his thighs. At one point he's in a toga for this little skit they're doing and she's basically a trembling mess. It's great.
When a Girl Loves an Earl by Elisa Braden has a heroine who's obsessed with the big, strong, silent Scottish hero (though, because he's kind of been trained to disguise his accent, she doesn't know that he's Scottish until they're literally on the way to get married lol). He's very resistant at first for Reasons, but she makes her obsession and lust super known.
The Temptation of a Highlander by Elisa Braden also has this, another big Scottish heroine. But this one is arguably funnier because she's always accidentally saying double entendres to him, IN FRONT OF EVERYONE, because she's just too horny and it keeps slipping out. Like "haha you're such a big man, you could probably break me in half" and everyone at the dinner table is like O_O.
Rules for a Proper Governess by Jennifer Ashley has a lower class heroine who sees the upper class (stern lawyer, much older than her) hero and becomes besotted with his sternness and coolness, and basically claws her way into becoming his kids' governess. She's SOOOO into him. And fortunately, he, very guiltily, is soooo into her. The Madness of Lord Ian MacKenzie is also really good on this level, Beth writes in journal about how into Ian she is lol.
Olivia and The Masked Duke by Grace Callaway has a very young heroine who sees the hero *doing things* to another woman and decides she must have him. He's her father's friend and is like "noooo" (yeeeees). This is a lot of Grace Callaway books--I would also recommend Glory and The Master of Shadows on this level.
My Dirty Duke by Joanna Shupe also has this, but the age gap is much bigger (for Olivia it's like... she's 18-20 and he's 32; this this book she's 20 and he's like 43 lmao). He's her dad's bestie and is all "no nope not happening" but she PERSISTS.
The Hunter by Monica McCarty has this; the hero is sent in to basically extricate the heroine (who is disguised as a nun) from a spy mission, and she becomes determined to have him. The Arrow has this even moreso; the hero is the heroine's ward after he rescued her from an attack that left her orphaned when she was 15ish. Years later, he returns when she's around 20 (he's 30ish) and tries desperately to resist her while she pursues him.
I think The Raven Prince (widowed heroine, she's his employee, she gets aggressively angry when he visits a brothel and begins to disguise herself as one of the sex workers in order to get into bed with him) and The Leopard Prince (she's an heiress, he's her steward, they begin an illicit affair) by Elizabeth Hoyt will give you these vibes.
Lord of Temptation by Lorraine Heath has a heroine who initially is resistant to the rakish piratical hero, but quickly succumbs despite being kinda uptight, because he DOES IT for her. They start an affair even though she's on the brink of getting engaged to another man; she's super obsessed with him and he slips into her room a lot.
I gotta say, my current reread (re-listen?) to Between the Devil and Desire by Lorraine Heath.... really has this, lol. Like, Jack and Olivia are very enemies to lovers, but beneath that she is EXTREMELY physically attracted to him from the jump, even though she super doesn't want to be and is UPSET about it. Like, she's just watching him, thinking about what he looks like in the bath, lingering over his body, getting drunk and asking him to kiss her. She had a very withholding marriage before, and he really awakens her just by existing lol.
Never Seduce a Scot by Maya Banks is charmingly this. The hero and heroine have an arranged marriage, but she's deaf and nobody realizes this so they think she's "daft". The hero doesn't want to sleep with someone who doesn't have the capacity to consent (give him a medal I guess?) so he's like "nah she and I are sleeping in separate bedchambers, I am not touching her even though she's so pretty" and she's so insistent on this NOT being the case that she like forcibly drags her trunks into his room and he finds her sleeping in his bed, waiting for him lmao. It gets much worse for him when he finds her bathing in the river and she realizes he's into it.
Obviously, Sierra Simone's Ivy Leavold trilogy of novellas is super erotic, and Ivy Leavold really wants to get with her employer from jump lol.
The Duke Gets Even by Joanna Shupe. Nellie and Lockwood are enemies at first, but they're also equally physically obsessed with each other, lol.

I’m going to send u something you can actually respond to this time instead of acting like the godless pagan animal that I am, bc I thought of smth that in think you’d laugh about 🥰
So my first ever boyfriend was this gorgeous goth boy that everyone envied and he was obsessed with me—as he should’ve been, bc I was and am That Bitch. Anyway, he insisted he was a werewolf and the first time he met my blue collar alcoholic father he said, “Sir I’m going to stay away from your daughter on full moons bc I don’t want to hurt her” and I have never wanted to apologize to my father as bad as I wanted to in that moment but the wtf look he gave me on our porch that day shames me even now, 15ish years later. The boyfriend then cheated on me in summer school, so fast leaves young love.
I'm actually losing it A WERWOLF LMAOOOOO I HAVE NO WORDS

as far as Confirmed Babies(TM) go for FE6 that were unmentioned otherwise: - Chad iirc is roughly on par age wise with Raigh and Lugh - Wolt is implicitly the same age as Roy - Fae is older than most of the cast but she satisfies the 'looks/behaves like a kid' clause
anyone else is broadly an actual adult or just never has anything clarified about their actual age
Yeah the automatically DQ'd characters are: Roy, Wolt, Chad, Lugh, Raigh, Clarine, Lilina, Sophia, and Fae. I didn't list all of them for the sake of brevity, but I felt Roy needed an explanation since he's the lord and later media (mainly Smash and Engage) inconsistently depicts his age. So if you're only familiar with Binding Blade through Smash you might be like "wait why is this 20 year old lookin' man not here???" lol
As for transparency on how I decided which characters are too baby for the bracket:
Serenesforest has a list of all known and approximated ages in the FE series, and basically every Binding Blade character is on it in some capacity. So I DQ'd Roy (15), Lilina (15), Lugh (13), and Raigh (13). Fae got an automatic DQ for being a Nowi-esque childish old dragon girl. Wolt got axed because he's stated to be about the same age as Roy
Then I took a list of all of the characters listed as "teens" on Serenes and picked through their wiki galleries to get a sense of how they're usually depicted. You can usually tell who is supposed to be more mature or more childish based on the art. Chad, Clarine, and Sophia all tend to be depicted looking in the 13-15ish range so I DQ'd them to be safe. I know Sophia is technically older but she was falling a bit into the loli dragon grey zone for me
There were a few characters I was borderline on (mainly the gals) but if I excluded every character listed as "teens" we'd have about 10 female characters left to vote on (thanks old FE for your itty bitty casts of mostly young women :|). I trust democracy to sort it out if I missed anything lol

Blast from the past music tag game!
thanks to @howlinchickhowl for coming up with this tag game! thank you to @francesrose3, @juliakayyy, @metalheadmickey and @deedala for tagging me! love you all 💜
Name: ri
Nation of birth: united states
Teen decade: the aughts
Share a song that you once would have included on every playlist/mix cd/mix tape you made, but which hasn't travelled with you into 2023.
this is a toughie because i still vibe with so many songs from my teens, especially my later teens. i'll have to go with "jumpin', jumpin''" by destiny's child
Where did you first hear this song?
it was either on yahoo music videos or listening to my local radio station
How old were you when you first heard it?
i honestly cannot recall lol, but i remember dancing to it in my room at 15ish so sometime before then
Being who you are now, how do you feel about the song?
it's a fun song and i'll still listen to it when i'm in the right mood. i'm not as in love with it as i was during that time. i always laugh so hard remembering myself at that age singing "ladies leave your men at home/the club is full of ballers and their pockets full grown"
What is a song you love now that fills the same kind of vibe as this, but more befitting your current self?
probably "can't hold us" by macklemore and ryan lewis. it's a good hype song and something that gets me in the right mood when i'm going out. it's a real self-esteem booster so kinda serves the same purpose as "jumpin', jumpin'" did for me in my teen years.
throwing out some tags: @suzy-queued, @ian-galagher, @sleepyfacetoughguy, @depressedstressedlemonzest, @lingy910y, @michellemisfit, @grumble-fish, @transmickey, @ianandmickeygallavich1, @auds-and-evens, @celestialmickey

Truth. I needed to see this! 😊 (shared from somewhere else)
Generally happy accidents or with deliberate intricate and meticulous planning been it's been difficult throughout my life as an artist/designer. The negative inner voice and doubt stunted me for too long. The negative schtik killed my dreams for a long while and can potentially destroy and hinder everything i build and create and question myself in the future. So currently, I am embracing my skills and trying to stop beating myself up. It is exhausting, honestly, being critical. My arsenal of 15ish years of work would be humongous if i did lay off myself and took off boxing gloves jk tbh. It is long overdue, opening myself, and my mind to just enjoy the present journey(and open up to a possible and potentially fun positive experience?) of simply creating. It sucks the fun right out thinking any other way.
I am trying to drop that act, perhaps ill pick up pencils (im not the best at hand rendering/drawing in my opinion tbh), work with new tools and mediums, utilize or improve on older tools, share, advance myself, build an arsenal, and simply create more and question less or much later if at all. I won't know unless I'll try again. I'm already sketching drawing practicing every day, and im not looking back.</the end

gonna project all my ex-catholicness on matthew
also, dick magic? 👀
Tumblr media Tumblr media
LMAO. Yes, I can. So in the mid 1600s, Quebec was tiny and I mean tiny. 3000-4000 people for a population. Compare that to the American Colonies having about 75,000, though that would drop fairly significantly with King Philip's War in another 15ish years. Quebec's tiny, shitty, unprofitable, cold, always getting their shit rocked by the Iroquois League (based) or the British or the Dutch or the Scottish or other Frenchmen. Crops fail, there's outbreaks of what's probably typhus or smallpox. Jesuit missionaries were captured tortured, killed (also based.) There was, of all things, an earthquake in 1660 or so in Montreal. There's also nuns reporting canoes on fire, rocks pelting people all the time by magic. Anyway, my point being, it's a weeeeee bit of a nutty time to be a Franuck peasant. The two main instances of actual convicted witchcraft in 1600s Quebec was a Huguenot who was more shot for being a protestant and selling the Huron and Montagnais liquor which was banned than he was for witchcraft. But the other one?
Enter, the dick magic. I'm taking this story from notes I took in 2016 so bear with me here. So in 1657, a 14 year old girl named Marie Pontonnier spurned the advances of pervert and soldier 20-25 years older than her named René Besnard and married a man much closer to her in age. Besnard cursed the marriage, vowing the couple would never have children and Marie's husband wouldn't be able to get a boner so long as they remained married. Besnard tried to force and blackmail Marie into fucking him so he would lift the curse. Again, she's 14 at the age of her marriage and 15 during this trial and he's well into his 40s. She and her her husband are still trying for their first child but her husband can't get it up and its just not happening so they take Besdnard to court. Besnard accuses her of seducing him, (again, she's fifteen years old) she accuses him in turn of being a lecherous piece of shit, which he is at that age gap and the entire community is on her side so Besnard is convicted of witchcraft an banished from the colony. Three years later, after 3 boner free years and no babies, Marie and her husband had their marriage annulled. It looks like they parted on very good terms, he gave her a shit ton of money and kind words and she would name one of her 10 children after him. And her ex-husbands remarriage also produced about a dozen children and both began reproducing almost as soon as both of them were remarried. So, yup. Dick magic. Also from my notes.
