(3rd person update)

Once Christina and Jeb were stuck at the hospital, the Talbert children went “wild”.

Betty and Marvin *gasp* hugged before marriage!!

Harvey drank directly from the punch bowl while Glenn and Kayla stole a bunch of food.

Christian invited Tyrell over, and the two talked about things other than Jesus! They even spoke to... a working woman! Who was wearing pants!!1!!!1

Julie danced.

Lovell stole the microphone and started singing. Luckily, Irene was able to crank up the volume on that violin.

Daniel eavesdropped on everybody to make sure nothing suspicious was going on. Which is what he normally does, and is entirely Christina-approved, so... good job not going off the Jesus rails, Daniel.

Eve, however, brazenly spoke to unmarried young men without a chaperone!

Naomi crawled outside and napped on some leaves. Again, not wild or reckless even by Talbert standards, but somebody should really have kept an eye on the toddlers or something.

Ann certainly didn’t. Her and Max are both Romantic, so they were much too busy playing tonsil hockey to notice anything going on around them.

At one point, she wasn’t even around to witness most of it.

Abigail, however, was present for the entire reception, so it’s only a matter of time before some of this gets back to Christina...

(3rd person update)

At 5am, Julie wakes Glenn up. She knows he has to help her with laundry and wants to take full advantage of that.

Christina doesn’t buy anything except groceries, so Kayla goes straight to Jeb to beg for new toys. He tells her that begging is unladylike and he’ll have to talk to Christina about her greedy attitude. He won’t, but only because he got distracted ranting to Christina about how Bo Jiden is ruining Simerica.

Irene has never liked cooking. It was assigned to her so she has to bear it, but being in that kitchen felt horrible. She’s been praying to God to help ease her discomfort, and she’s convinced that’s the reason why it all became clear today. Not because she’s older or anything, it was definitely God. Anyways, Irene thinks the kitchen is bland and ugly as fuck. Her Snob heart weeps at the very sight of it! She decides to talk to Christina about some interior decorating.

Meanwhile, Betty’s already talking to Christina.

“Mother, please! Oliver screams, he kicks, and he calls me names! Just today, on my wedding day, can’t you potty train him? Please?”

Christina chuckles condescendingly. “Oh Betty, that’s just how little boys are! That’s why it’s our duty as Godly adults to teach the littles how He wants them to be, so that they can be free of the influence Satan grips them with at birth!! Be proud that you get to save a soul from the evils of wrath!!”

“He pissed on me!” Betty cries.

“So did the triplets, but I don’t see you begrudging them!! Betty, you’re about to become a mama yourself in less than a year! Difficult children are part of God’s plan for your life, and that won’t change just because it’s your wedding day! You need to know these lessons now, so that you’re prepared when your first child is born! Now, go to Jesus and pray that He gives you the grace needed to understand what I’m trying so hard to teach you!! Quickly, we don’t have much time left!!”

As Betty heads towards the Bible Room, she sees Mary by the stairs.

Mary leans in. “I’ll take care of Oliver,” she whispers.

Betty smiles. “Thank you,” she whispers back.

I would like to announce the birth of Julie Talbert!!! Now we have five boys and five girls... wonder what number 11 will be!!!!

Is there anything as rewarding as watching God’s glorious plan in action? Our young women are becoming such skilled homemakers!!! Despite her face in this picture, Eve’s taken to cooking - her first ever breakfast was Excellent quality!!! I know she’ll be wowing her husband and children with her meals one day!!!

The table is filling up fast now that we have so many children!!!! A blessing and a burden all at once, L.O.L.!!! I’ll have to think of something before the triplets age up!!

Speaking of the triplets, I relish every opportunity to teach them about their Lord and Savior <3 They’re still very little, so I explain it in ways their young minds can understand.

I’m so proud of little Daniel! Jeb and I thought Christian would be the handy one, but Daniel surprised us!!! Where is Christian, anyways...?

I could tell Abigail had something to tell me, so we chatted after our celebration. Imagine my horror at hearing what my children did while I was birthing the twins!!!!! As soon as I got home, I rounded them up for their punishments!!!!!

...Except for Betty!! While I’m very disappointed in her for hugging Marvin before marriage, Abigail assured me that they still left room for Jesus and that Betty shouldn’t be punished too harshly! So I gave her a talk and sent her on her way.

I sat Harvey down to speak with him. Because he’s a man, I must have Jeb punish him so his masculine authority isn’t undermined, but I still gave him a stern talk about never drinking straight from public punch bowls!!

Julie, however, was spared no expense!!!!! I tried so hard to teach her that modern dances seduce Satan, yet Abigail told me she was out there wiggling her hips and flailing her arms!!!! I’m so ashamed!!!! As punishment, I’m hiding the radio until she learns to control her dancing!!!!!

Glenn and Kayla were lectured together!!!! I let Glenn go early to speak with Jeb, but not until after I explained to both of them that greed, gluttony, and kleptomania are horrible sins that should never be entertained!!!!! I’m... not actually sure what Kayla’s hobbies are, so I banned her from all forms of recreation except praying and reading her children’s bible!!!!

And lastly Christian!!!! Abigail never mentioned him by name, but who else would invite that atheist boy to the wedding?!?! After expressing that I am in fact both mad and disappointed, I sent him to Jeb!!!!

Jeb was surprised when I brought our boys in and explained what happened!!!! He told me that I took the right steps to discipline our girls, but he wants to pray on this matter before punishing our boys!!!!

For now, our boys won’t be punished until Jeb has received God’s guidance!! I trust that He will give Jeb wisdom on this matter, and until He does our boys will live their lives as normal!!

My girls used to complain that their room was too small (and I’d tell them to have a grateful spirit and thank God for giving them a warm bed and a roof), but it with Ann gone they say it feels empty!!! Julie’s moved into Ann’s old bunk, but no doubt it will still take a while to get used to Ann not being around anymore!!!

And she won’t be the only one!!! The day after Ann’s wedding, Marvin proposed to our Betty!!!!! Because they both love art, he did it while at a date to the museum <3 (don’t worry - although you can’t see her, Susan Hubbard was there to chaperone!!!)

I heard someone call Jeb early this morning, but I had no idea it was Marvin!!!! It was at Ann’s wedding that he realized Betty was the girl God created for him to marry - isn’t that romantic?!?!

The moment I heard, I just had to drop everything and run to Abigail!!!!!! She was as joyful as I was, and we celebrated this Godly union together!!!!! God has truly blessed us!!!!!!!

(3rd person update. TL;DR everyone got a new hobby.)

Guess who couldn’t pay their bills?

The money Jeb made at work gave them enough to pay, but he is not happy. He starts to gather all his sons Teen and older, only to realize Lovell is the only one still at home. He curses out Harvey and Glenn for using their money to move out and leave them alone with the bills, because it’s totally their fault that nobody told them their parents were struggling financially.

Anyways, Jeb and Christina agree on a new household rule: all girls Teen and up must pursue a “productive” (money-making) hobby, and all boys Teen and up must pursue a “productive” hobby and/or get a job.

Music is not productive, so Lovell gets a job at Sim-Fil-A. He finds that a 5-9 job leaves him the rest of the day to write his Dramatic Ballads.

Christina and Irene already make flowers, and now Kayla joins them.

Naomi gardens and takes pictures.

Naomi also convinced Irene to spend her latest royalty paycheck on a bee box.

Rather than pick up a hobby, Julie takes on the “jobs” of maid and nanny. The child aged girls do most of the cleaning and laundry already, so that’s fine, but now every toddler is the responsibility of Julie and Julie alone. Julie, who is Family-Oriented, has a Super Parent aspiration, and is a Family Sim, is very happy with that.

Mary takes up painting.

It all leaves the R&S twins with plenty of time to do their own recreational activities.

Like fishing. Even though they aren’t required to help out with money, Shane and Pine Tree happily go fishing anyways.

They aren’t like the other kids, who choose fun and personal fulfillment over making money. Selfish brats.

At least Jeb won a chance card.

All I pray for is a single day where this sinful child gives me no trouble!!!! When Rose came downstairs with short hair, I just about met Jesus on the spot!!!

It’s a very even cut, which makes me think she had a partner in crime!!! I demanded to know who, but she just gave me very rude replies!!! We have such long talks about having a submissive and Godly spirit, and none of it ever gets through!!!!

Unfortunately, we simply don’t have the money for a wig, so I have no choice but to wait for it to grow back!!! Why must He test me so???

I’m not the only Talbert with strife in my life!!! Lovell and Damien Young had quite an argument, so now it’s just Lovell and Moony Caliente in Eyes of God!!! Pray they find a new third soon!!!!

Some events are sorrowful for all of us!!!! Today, Harvey moves out!!! He finally has enough money to buy a starter home in Sulani!!! That’s the farthest any of my babies have moved, but he insists that God created him to spread His word to islanders!!! God bless!!! I’ll miss him terribly, but a mama can’t keep her babies with her forever!!!

Especially my older girls!!!! Jeb seemed happier than usual today, and when Julie came home telling me Kirk proposed to her I understood why!!! Praise the Lord for sending a good Christian boy like Kirk to our Julie!!!! Amen!!!!

Ten children is a milestone that only comes once in your lifetime, and Jeb and I decided to honor it with a family portrait! It’s hard to keep ten little ones from getting distracted, but I think we did alright :-) I thank God every day for the ten blessings he’s given me and I pray we will have many more!!! Amen!!!

Nothing in the world makes a mother sadder or prouder than watching her little ones grow up!!! Now that Kayla’s old enough to cook, Eve’s teaching her how!!! It’s such wonderful, sisterly bonding and I’m sure a great chef like Eve will teach Kayla how to wow her husband one day!!! They say the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, L.O.L.!!!

I’m so blessed to have a hardworking son like Daniel!! He made two more planters for the garden!!! Bless his spirit <3

Like Kayla, Julie’s starting to take on more responsibility!!! This was the first time she was able to do laundry without one of her big sisters helping her!!!! She’s growing into a talented homemaker and I couldn’t be prouder!!!

How blessed that, on the day I give a daughter away, God gives me a new one!!! With the healthy birth of little Zinnia, I finally have a full alphabet!!! Going from Ann to Zinnia was such a journey, and I wouldn’t take back a single moment of it!!!! I pray that God lets me go through it again!!!!

But, before then, it’s time for Julie’s wedding!!! Unfortunately, Jeb couldn’t make it :( !!! His work hours are very strict!!!! Fortunately, Julie understood completely and there’s no bad blood or bitter tears between them!!! That’s the forgiving and understanding spirit we want our girls to have!!!!

Julie gave me quite the surprise at the altar!!!!!! She styled her hair just like mine!!!!! We looked like twins, except I would never wear her clothes or makeup!!!! Julie certainly is a quirky girl L.O.L.!!!!

Soon they were exchanging vows!!!

And rings!!!! (looks like Kirk is regretting this already L.O.L.!!!!!!)

And then the First Kiss!!! I’ll never tire of watching such a special and holy moment between my girls and their men!!!!

Kayla’s cakes were just amazing!!!!

The newlyweds certainly thought so!!!!

Not all was well at the wedding!!! Because of her unsightly, horrible appearance, I made Rose sit in the back!!! This gave her a chance to run away unnoticed!!! If Eve didn’t ask me about her, she’s probably have made it to Oasis Springs by now!!!!

Luckily, I was able to drag Rose back before the slow dance!!! I’m so proud to see that Julie’s learned which dances are appropriate for a Godly woman!!!

I must admit, I didn’t pay any attention to Albert at all during the ceremony!!! He and Kayla were surrounded by family and often talked with Julie, so I knew Kayla’s purity was safe!!!

Then he got on one knee and proposed to Kayla right then and there!!!! I was shocked, but Julie later told me he asked Kirk and Jeb for permission first!!!! Kayla was just as surprised as I was, but she was thrilled to say yes!!!

Sometimes I feel as if God has cursed me!!! Christian and the triplets are all young adults with zero courtships!!! I pray that Christian will call with that special announcement, but he never does!!! I pray Glenn will get over Nicola and find a new girl, but he won’t!!! I pray that Harvey agrees to date the girls I send his way, but he refuses!!!

And Irene... oh, Irene!!!! She’s so obsessed with her silly violin that she can’t see how old she’s becoming!!! She is 19 years old already and isn’t getting any younger!!!!! If she keeps refusing to enter a courtship, she’ll end up an old maid and won’t be able to embrace God’s greatest blessing to women - children!!!! If she doesn’t have a man by her twenties, I’ll be forced to ban her violin until she does!!!!

Even Julie’s entered a courtship before any of them!!!! Just today, Jeb approved a match between Julie and a church boy named Kirk Rogers!!! Courtship’s so easy, yet I have four children (!!) that just won’t do it!!!

Courtships aren’t the end of my woes!!! Ever since the “laundry incident”, Naomi has been terrified of going near the laundry room!!! I’ve been trying to gently explain to her that her fears are from the Devil and that by refusing to do laundry she’s giving in to sin, but it just makes her more upset!!! Julie and Mary usually do laundry with her, so I’ll have them talk to Naomi and pray they’re able to speak God back into Naomi’s heart!!!!

Congratulations to Daniel!! Thanks to how handy he is, he’s been approved for a Building The Future scholarship at a local Christian college!!! He won’t be able to go for a little while yet, but we’re still quite pleased to see him grow into a young scholar!!!

I’m also very proud of Julie!!! Not once have I asked her to use the treadmill (she’s so trim already!!), but she happily does so anyways!!! She says she enjoys exercise!! Strange, but one should never question God’s miracles!!

Harvey’s been on the computer more than ever!! Whenever I walk by, he’s always typing away on the computer notebook!! Don’t worry - when he’s done, I go in and read everything to make sure he’s not writing Satan propaganda!!! I’m proud to report that he writes God-honoring little stories about fake little Christians!! He has a strong imagination and he just may become a wonderful author one day!!

As the eldest child still at home, Christian has the “honor” of sitting between his grandparents.

“-then the doctor tells me I need pills for this hip! That’s why I don’t go to doctors: they’re all quacks serving Big Pharma! The only medicine I need is the good word of Jesus! So I tore him a new one and threw my pocket bible at his head! Amen!” Sally Jo says, slapping the couch for emphasis.

Mary Tidwell nods. “I understand just perfectly! That reminds me of what Dr. Lothario - a fiendish man, switched doctors immediately - that is, the other day he was saying...”

Christian wants to groan, but he knows it would piss Christina off. He grabs his phone and sees four texts, one from “Church Chicken” (miss u xo) and three from “Sim-Fil-A” (merry christmas) (christfest?) (merry jesusbirth). Thankfully, his grandmothers are too busy squinting at a bible verse about medicine to invade his privacy.

He quickly sends out (merry jesusbirth loser) and (see u soon bb xo love u) as responses. He confuses the texts, because of course he does, and soon his phone is vibrating madly with new texts.

“I say! What’s going on over there?” Mary Tidwell cranes her neck towards him.

“Nothing! Just testing out a few notification features,” Christian says, frantically blocking all notifications from the Messages app.

“I don’t like the sound of that, boy! First your girl shorts, and now your fancy phone witchcraft! Jeb, I thought I raised you to know how to make men of your boys!” Barney barks.

“I do raise my boys!” Jebidah glares at his father.

“Which triplet am I?” Glenn calls.

“Not Irene! Now shut up and keep your nose out of this!” Jebidiah points at him.

“Then why is your boy like this?! Next thing you know, he’ll be insulting women and kissing men! Is that what you want?!” Barney gestures wildly.

“I’m straight! In fact, not only am I straight, I’m also heterosexual!” Christian says.

“Mooom! Christian said a bad word!” Mary Talbert shrieks, yanking her mother’s skirt. Behind her, a shocked Naomi covers Quentin’s ears.

“Bad word?! Why are you teaching your children that heterosexuality is bad?!” Mary Tidwell demands.

“No, sex is the bad-” Christina says, but is interrupted by Mary Talbert’s horrified gasp.

“Mommy... you said the bad word!” Mary Talbert starts crying.

It’s days like these Christina starts to wonder if Heaven is really worth this.

Barney stands up and stomps his feet. “Shut up! Jebidiah, what do you have to say for yourself?!”

Jebidiah stands up and gestures angrily. “Listen here! I raised Christian to be a strong, God-fearing straight man, and he is! I won’t have you trashing my son just because you think his clothes are ugly and hate new technology!”

“Ok, wow, this is a look-” Christian begins, but Christina shushes him.

Jebidiah, who is too wrapped up in his own rant to notice Christian said anything, continues on. “It’s Christmas, for Christ’s sake! How can you call yourself a Godly man while insulting a brother in Christ over his neon shorts?! As long as he isn’t in feminine or homosexual clothes, he can wear what he likes!”

“Can I wear pants, then?!” Julie asks eagerly.

“Absolutely not! God create pants for men and men alone! Remember Deuteronomy 22:5 and 1 Timothy 2:9! If you wore Christian’s shorts, young men would stumble and you would become unworthy of God’s love! God wants women to be modest and quiet, so shut up and keep your skirt on!” Jebidiah tells her.

“All of you, shut your yams!” Sally Jo stands up. “Jeb’s right! We’re here to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, not criticize each other! Do any of you really think God is smiling on us right now? Everybody here is modestly dressed, God loving, and heterosexual! That’s all He wants for us! So sit down, clamp your gabs, and let our strong, masculine headships read from the bible!”

(TL;DR: Christian is secretly texting Tyrell and a girl, Jeb’s father accuses Christian of being girly and doing phone witchcraft, Jeb defends Christian but still doesn’t know which triplet is which, Julie wants to wear pants but Jeb tells her to be a ~Godly woman~ and shut the fuck up.)

God has truly blessed this mommy!!! Julie and Mary look after little ones without being told or taught!!! Mothering is natural and instinctive in all women, but they have an extra special affinity for it!!! I already know they’ll be amazing mothers!!!!

From what I hear, Harvey approached Jeb with a... strange request. He says he wants to pursue Mixology as a hobby so he can one day open a Christian bar full of non-alcoholic drinks!! Jeb believes it’s just an excuse to open a gateway to the devil’s margarita glass, and I agree!! Really, how stupid does Harvey think we are?!

In more exciting news, Daniel met a lovely, God-fearing young girl at our new church and says he wants to ask her father’s permission to court her!!! Her name is Catherine Brinkley and he believes they share many interests!!! Then again, with Daniel’s interests being eavesdropping and mechanical repairs, I’m not sure that’s a good thing!! Well, I trust that God has created a rational and feminine lady to be Daniel’s bride, and only time will tell us if it’s Catherine!!!

If only God would work such miracles with Christian!! He’s already 19 and hasn’t courted a single girl!!! He says God will lead him to the right girl when it’s meant to be, but this waiting is unbearable!! I don’t want Christian to still be unmarried in his mid-twenties!!! If nothing happens soon, I may have to try and play matchmaker with the girls at church (aside from Miss Brinkley, of course)!!!! Pray for me!!!!

Normally, I would worry that playing with dolls would turn Frank into some sort of sexual deviant, but when it’s so clearly just to please Naomi it becomes a sweet and honorable action!!! Our toddlers are so lucky to have such a good big brother, and Frank’s future children will blessed with a wonderful and attentive father!! Not that it’s needed, of course - Jeb has hardly interacted with the children and they’re turning out just fine!!!

To make sure Julie isn’t moving, I usually have her in the same room with me!! It’s become a huge opportunity to have some mommy-daughter bonding time, and I will!!!! With so many kids and so many weddings, it’s easy to forget to spend genuine quality time with ALL my daughters!!! Luckily, Julie is still little, so there’s plenty of time for bonding!!!

Guess who showed up??!! Apparently, Meagan is engaged!!! Ann and Abigail were told at the same time, then they rushed over to tell me!!!! Jeb, Ann, Betty, and I were invited to the wedding, and we accepted wholeheartedly!!! The wedding won’t be until after Christmas, so I have plenty of time to find a babysitter!!!

I’ve found the source of Julie’s wicked dancing infection!!!! Even though the monkey bars are for BOYS ONLY, Julie swings from them without a care in the world!!!! What if a boy has seen her undergarments?!?!

I gave her a firm warning and sent her inside. Aside from taping up the monkey bars, I don’t know what to do!!! I’ve been praying about it, and I hope God answers soon!!!!!

At least my other children are angels!!!! Mary is an absolute blessing - no fussing, no disobedience, no willful spirits!!! She gets along with all of her siblings and is the most perfect daughter I could have asked for!!! I thank the Lord every day for making me her mama!!!!!

As usual, my first set of twins are getting along!!! Daniel woodworks while Eve studies her Bible! They’re becoming such God honoring young people and I’m glad I was able to witness their journeys!!!
