No mother wants a daughter that waited until 26 to get married, but it’s what He gave me!!! When I was 26, Irene was already two years old!!! Irene could have had 8 children by now, and my heart weeps for the children she lost by waiting so long!!!!

But He wants us to choose joy, so today I will choose to be joyful that Irene is finally beginning to fulfill her purpose!!! Today, she marries Jin!!!

Irene was such a beautiful bride!!!

Of course, Irene wasn’t going to be the musician at her own wedding!!! Little Xavier is now the family violinist!!! I hear the church has a new piano, so that violin won’t be in his hands for long!!!

But first, the wedding!!!! Despite her faults, one of Irene’s virtues is that she stayed pure even at her age!!! This is the first time she’s touched a man, as it should be!!!

They exchanged vows, including the vow to leave how many children they have up to God!! In my opinion, staying single for so long restricted how many babies God could have given her, but today I will choose joy and try not to focus on that!!!

They exchanged rings...

And had their First Kiss!!!

The after party was wonderful!!! For a beginner, Xavier didn’t sound too bad!!!

Phoebe’s cakes were amazing!!!

Irene and Jin danced as newlyweds!!!

Even though it took much too long to happen, the wedding was wonderful and I look forward to (hopefully!) having new grandbabies in 9 months!!! I know God surely wants to give them to her, L.O.L.!!!

(3rd person update)

Once Christina and Jeb were stuck at the hospital, the Talbert children went “wild”.

Betty and Marvin *gasp* hugged before marriage!!

Harvey drank directly from the punch bowl while Glenn and Kayla stole a bunch of food.

Christian invited Tyrell over, and the two talked about things other than Jesus! They even spoke to... a working woman! Who was wearing pants!!1!!!1

Julie danced.

Lovell stole the microphone and started singing. Luckily, Irene was able to crank up the volume on that violin.

Daniel eavesdropped on everybody to make sure nothing suspicious was going on. Which is what he normally does, and is entirely Christina-approved, so... good job not going off the Jesus rails, Daniel.

Eve, however, brazenly spoke to unmarried young men without a chaperone!

Naomi crawled outside and napped on some leaves. Again, not wild or reckless even by Talbert standards, but somebody should really have kept an eye on the toddlers or something.

Ann certainly didn’t. Her and Max are both Romantic, so they were much too busy playing tonsil hockey to notice anything going on around them.

At one point, she wasn’t even around to witness most of it.

Abigail, however, was present for the entire reception, so it’s only a matter of time before some of this gets back to Christina...

Eve truly outdid herself!! She made a white cake in honor of the wedding, strawberry cake because it’s Ann favorite, and a double layered cake to show off (L.O.L.!!!!)!!!!

Ann and Maximilian were sure eager to dig in!!!!

I’m so proud of Irene!!! Her violin playing was so amazing, people were throwing money at her!!!!!

And then, right in the middle of everything, I went into labor!!! I tried to deliver the babies right there in church (in a back room, of course - I would never give birth in front of little boys!!!), but without a midwife it was almost impossible!!!

Eventually Jeb ordered me to go to the hospital, and I had no choice but to go :( I wasn’t able to take a picture while I was there, but I had twins!!! Their names are Oliver and Phoebe, and I hope to post pictures soon!!!!

I’m surprised at how creative my children are becoming!!!!

Harvey loves to draw and play with toys!! He has such a creative spirit and I know he’ll grow up creating art that honors our Lord!!!!

Daniel’s very creative, but in his own way!! He’s taken up wookworking and he’s already made an end table and a dragon sculpture!!!

The older girls get to keep the table, but he wants to keep the dragon. He says he has something special in mind for it! I hope it isn’t a girl - 13 is too young for courting!! If he has his eye on a little lady, he should be ready to wait a few years before doing anything!!!

Can’t forget Betty!!! When she isn’t slimming down (doesn’t she look so good now?! Praise!!!) she’s at the easel!!! Soon our home will be covered in her art!!

God is working His magic on little Irene!!! She’s much more docile nowadays!!! As I watch her arrange flowers, I know in my heart that she’ll become a wonderfully meek and obedient housewife!!!

Most of all, Irene loves music!!! It feels like every moment of her free time is filled with violins!!! Between her violin, Ann’s worship CDs, and Lovell’s singing, there’s never a quiet moment!!!! It’s how God intended our home to be, and I wouldn’t want it any other way <3

(a/n: not to become some sort of third person story blog, but uhhhh I’m gonna start including a few omniscient third person sort of posts between Christina’s Mommy Blog!!! posts. I’ll probably write things like “because that’s what Godly women are meant to do”, but that’s to reflect their thoughts and not my beliefs.

There’s 16 pictures total. Instead of making a super long post, I put 9 here and will put 7 in a “Part Two” post. In both cases, the bulk will be under a Read More.)

 That morning, as Eve went to make breakfast, Daniel stopped her and gave her a gift.

 “It will protect you from Satan invading your mind,” he whispers.

 It’s a necklace. Eve remembers Daniel making two of them at church last night. She also remembers him hanging up a bunch of crosses and lighting candles underneath his bed “to protect from Satan”.

This behavior concerns Eve. Not because he’s trying to protect himself from Satan - she thinks that’s perfectly rational - but because of the frequency and urgency he’s doing it with. 

 “Thank you,” she whispers back. “Is... you know... Satan in yours?”

 Daniel glares at the archway to the kitchen as if it’s Eve’s fault he chose to talk to her there. “Not here,” he hisses. “People are listening. Meet me behind the apple tree after your chores.”

 Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Irene is making breakfast. She can hear Eve and Daniel talking, but as the ninth child she’s learned how to zone that shit out. All she cares about is breakfast: vegetable dumplings. It’s all she knows how to make. Betty’s the only other person that eats them.

 In the dining room, Ann changes Lovell’s diaper. She’s always the one changing diapers and bathing toddlers. She knows that, as a woman of Christ, she’ll be doing this for the rest of her life.

 Her thoughts turn to the children she’ll have one day, and then to the man she’ll have them with.

 The courtship between Ann and Maximilian is going well. He’s Godly and knows how to be a strong and masculine head of the household. Ann appreciates those virtues, but she mostly appreciates his dreamy blue eyes.

 Ann could spend hours dreaming about watching him as he woodworks and fishes, and she does. Ann does her best to deny daydreams of premarital touches so her thoughts stay chaste, but as a future Romantic it isn’t always easy.

 Outside, Betty digs through the garbage for leftovers. She’s had vegetable dumplings for breakfast every day since Irene started cooking and now she’s finally cracking.

 She finds oatmeal, and gleefully digs in while praising the Lord that she’s able to eat something that isn’t a goddamn dumpling.

The only thing worse than Christina catching Betty is Ann catching Betty. Ann chews Betty out and promises to tell on her. Betty regrets being alive.

(3rd person update)

At 5am, Julie wakes Glenn up. She knows he has to help her with laundry and wants to take full advantage of that.

Christina doesn’t buy anything except groceries, so Kayla goes straight to Jeb to beg for new toys. He tells her that begging is unladylike and he’ll have to talk to Christina about her greedy attitude. He won’t, but only because he got distracted ranting to Christina about how Bo Jiden is ruining Simerica.

Irene has never liked cooking. It was assigned to her so she has to bear it, but being in that kitchen felt horrible. She’s been praying to God to help ease her discomfort, and she’s convinced that’s the reason why it all became clear today. Not because she’s older or anything, it was definitely God. Anyways, Irene thinks the kitchen is bland and ugly as fuck. Her Snob heart weeps at the very sight of it! She decides to talk to Christina about some interior decorating.

Meanwhile, Betty’s already talking to Christina.

“Mother, please! Oliver screams, he kicks, and he calls me names! Just today, on my wedding day, can’t you potty train him? Please?”

Christina chuckles condescendingly. “Oh Betty, that’s just how little boys are! That’s why it’s our duty as Godly adults to teach the littles how He wants them to be, so that they can be free of the influence Satan grips them with at birth!! Be proud that you get to save a soul from the evils of wrath!!”

“He pissed on me!” Betty cries.

“So did the triplets, but I don’t see you begrudging them!! Betty, you’re about to become a mama yourself in less than a year! Difficult children are part of God’s plan for your life, and that won’t change just because it’s your wedding day! You need to know these lessons now, so that you’re prepared when your first child is born! Now, go to Jesus and pray that He gives you the grace needed to understand what I’m trying so hard to teach you!! Quickly, we don’t have much time left!!”

As Betty heads towards the Bible Room, she sees Mary by the stairs.

Mary leans in. “I’ll take care of Oliver,” she whispers.

Betty smiles. “Thank you,” she whispers back.

I would like to announce the birth of Julie Talbert!!! Now we have five boys and five girls... wonder what number 11 will be!!!!

Is there anything as rewarding as watching God’s glorious plan in action? Our young women are becoming such skilled homemakers!!! Despite her face in this picture, Eve’s taken to cooking - her first ever breakfast was Excellent quality!!! I know she’ll be wowing her husband and children with her meals one day!!!

The table is filling up fast now that we have so many children!!!! A blessing and a burden all at once, L.O.L.!!! I’ll have to think of something before the triplets age up!!

Speaking of the triplets, I relish every opportunity to teach them about their Lord and Savior <3 They’re still very little, so I explain it in ways their young minds can understand.

I’m so proud of little Daniel! Jeb and I thought Christian would be the handy one, but Daniel surprised us!!! Where is Christian, anyways...?

The Talbert children are forbidden from entering the attic. Not because of any secrets, just because Christina is afraid a child would fall off the ladder and break their neck.

Christina and Jeb rarely use the attic, so it's the perfect place for not-so-Godly children to do not-so-Godly activities with that not-so-Godly crystal ball they hid up there.

Downstairs, the living room is the perfect place for Godly children to sit around and court in a Godly way.

With Mary and Irene both in the living room, the most anybody can get away with is a spicy elbow touch.

Exchanging flowers comes dangerously close to some slutty, slutty premarital hand touching, but with extreme caution that crisis is avoided.

Joshua eventually gets around to the reason he came: a ~perfect~ proposal on Love Day to a ~perfect~ fundie girl. Mary, no doubt impressed by Joshua’s ability to hand off flowers without becoming a Godless whore, agrees to marry him. Or should I say,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Mary him.

Jin worries that Irene would expect the same, but luckily she doesn’t seem displeased.

The lights begin to flicker, but surely it’s just the wiring going bad and not supernatural summonings in the attic.

All in all, a successful Love Day.

(3rd person update. TL;DR everyone got a new hobby.)

Guess who couldn’t pay their bills?

The money Jeb made at work gave them enough to pay, but he is not happy. He starts to gather all his sons Teen and older, only to realize Lovell is the only one still at home. He curses out Harvey and Glenn for using their money to move out and leave them alone with the bills, because it’s totally their fault that nobody told them their parents were struggling financially.

Anyways, Jeb and Christina agree on a new household rule: all girls Teen and up must pursue a “productive” (money-making) hobby, and all boys Teen and up must pursue a “productive” hobby and/or get a job.

Music is not productive, so Lovell gets a job at Sim-Fil-A. He finds that a 5-9 job leaves him the rest of the day to write his Dramatic Ballads.

Christina and Irene already make flowers, and now Kayla joins them.

Naomi gardens and takes pictures.

Naomi also convinced Irene to spend her latest royalty paycheck on a bee box.

Rather than pick up a hobby, Julie takes on the “jobs” of maid and nanny. The child aged girls do most of the cleaning and laundry already, so that’s fine, but now every toddler is the responsibility of Julie and Julie alone. Julie, who is Family-Oriented, has a Super Parent aspiration, and is a Family Sim, is very happy with that.

Mary takes up painting.

It all leaves the R&S twins with plenty of time to do their own recreational activities.

Like fishing. Even though they aren’t required to help out with money, Shane and Pine Tree happily go fishing anyways.

They aren’t like the other kids, who choose fun and personal fulfillment over making money. Selfish brats.

At least Jeb won a chance card.

Home school is busier than ever with five children!!! I don’t always have time to teach them myself, but luckily Ann is old enough to supervise while everyone reads their children’s bibles :-) I know she’ll tell me right away if there’s any problems!!!

Although the triplets are a little too young to understand the big kid books, I still encourage them to play in the room during bible time. Maybe they’ll pick up a nugget of wisdom or two!!!!

I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of holding God’s little miracles in my arms!!!! Our latest bundle of joy is Naomi Talbert - another girl!!! As a mama, I sure am blessed with future mamas!!!

Congratulations to Christian and Frank!!!! They’ve saved ten souls together!!! Hitting the streets to find sinners isn’t easy work, but it sure pays off!!!!

Us ladies still need to perform our duties while waiting for the big day, but no doubt Ann does her chores with a spring in her step and a large smile on her face!! Nothing makes a mother happier than her children’s joy, and Ann’s joy is certainly contagious!!! The whole house is buzzing with wedding excitement!!!!

Ann agreed to let Irene play some violin at her wedding, and now Irene’s practicing more than ever!!!! It warms my spirit to see such strong sisterhood!!!!

Ann is such a good sister!!! She taught Lovell how to walk before I even realized it was his second birthday!!!

Imagine my surprise when a strange boy appeared asking for Frank!! Turns out, his name is Rodney Bishop and he’s a friend of Frank’s from church!! I’m absolutely delighted to see our little ones forming Godly bonds!!!!! Apparently, Frank and Rodney are Best Friends Forever!!!!

Daniel is a gift that keeps on giving!! He’s gone from fixing broken plumbing to upgrading working plumbing!!! I'm so proud of him for learning an important life skill before he’s even a teenager!!!!

I had hoped that, with Daniel too busy to play with her, Eve would focus more of her time on learning her important life skills!! But instead of cleaning or potty training, she started playing with Glenn instead!!!! I hear Glenn has the unfortunate habit of flipping the chess table over in a rage, so I hope that will convince Eve that potty training the littles is a better use of her time!!!

Irene’s taking up gardening!!! She has quite the interest in growing and arranging flowers, just like her mama!!! I think this is a God-given opportunity to spend time with her and teach her about the meek and obedient spirit God wants her to have!!!!!! Pray it goes well!!!!

Betty’s older now, and I look at her with a heavy heart. I tried to teach her to avoid the sin of gluttony, but it appears she’s refused my teachings!! How is she ever going to become a Godly bride looking as she does?! It’s clear that I must be firmer with her if she’s ever going to have the future God wants!!!

My problems don’t stop there!!! With Irene, I have the opposite problem - she wants to become a vegetarian!!!! No matter how many times I tell her God created meats for eating, she argues with me!!!! This is not the meek and obedient spirit God wants her to have!!!!!

I spoke with Jeb, and his answer was firm: Irene can go vegetarian as long as Irene learns to be a humble, submissive, obedient wife to a Godly vegetarian man. He suggested that having a vegetarian meal option would help Betty lose weight. It wasn’t the answer I was hoping for, but as a PROPER wife I bowed my head and accepted Jeb’s decision without complaint. How are the girls going to learn if I don’t lead by example?!

Just when I thought the morning was done, Harvey burst in to beg that Jeb take him to the river! Fortunately, that’s not my conversation, and I was able to gracefully bow out to speak with Irene and Betty.

The weather was horrible this morning, so I was housebound! Jeb and I made the best of it before he had to leave for work ;)

Three trimesters later, I was given the biggest blessing to date!!! TRIPLETS!!! Our God is generous beyond measure!!!! I will thank God every day for giving me Glenn, Harvey, and Irene Talbert!!!!!! Amen!!!!

After homeschool, I instructed Irene to sit with the little ones while Ann reads biblical children’s stories. Perhaps hearing God’s will phrased more simply will help her become a meek, submissive, and obedient woman of God!!

I’m so blessed to have such a hardworking husband!!! As soon as he heard of our predicament, he searched for odd jobs!!! I’m so lucky to have this man as my husband!!!!

Praise the Lord!!!! After all of our boys worked hard, I was able to pay our bills!!! Let this be a shining example of how, through trust and faith in the Lord, all things are possible!!!! Amen!!!!

Ten children is a milestone that only comes once in your lifetime, and Jeb and I decided to honor it with a family portrait! It’s hard to keep ten little ones from getting distracted, but I think we did alright :-) I thank God every day for the ten blessings he’s given me and I pray we will have many more!!! Amen!!!
