Hail Cover for Car | CarCoversAndShelter
Summer brings sunny days, road trips, and unfortunately, hailstorms. While there’s little you can do to prevent Mother Nature’s fury, you can shield your beloved car from its wrath with a Hail Cover. Here’s everything you need to know about these lifesavers for your wheels:
Size Matters: Before purchasing a hail cover, make sure you know the dimensions of your car. Ill-fitting covers can leave parts of your vehicle exposed, defeating the purpose. Measure your car from bumper to bumper and side to side for a snug fit.
Material Selection: Hail covers come in various materials like polyester, PVC, and even multi-layered fabrics. Consider the climate in your area and the level of protection you need. For instance, if you’re in an area prone to extreme weather, opt for a cover with thicker padding.
Ease of Use: Ain’t nobody got time for complicated setups. Look for hail covers that are easy to install and remove. Velcro straps, elastic hems, and zipper closures are your friends here. You want something that you can quickly throw on when storm clouds gather.
Portability: Planning a road trip? You’ll want a hail cover that’s easy to pack and transport. Some covers come with storage bags or compact folding designs, making them a breeze to take on the go.
Durability: Your hail cover should be able to withstand not just hail, but also UV rays, wind, and rain. Check for features like reinforced stitching, UV protection, and water resistance to ensure your cover can handle whatever nature throws its way.
Budget Considerations: Hail covers come in a range of prices, so set a budget before you start shopping. Remember, though, that quality often comes with a higher price tag. Investing in a durable hail cover now could save you from costly repairs later.
Reviews and Recommendations: Finally, don’t just take the manufacturer’s word for it. Do your research, read reviews, and ask fellow car enthusiasts for recommendations. Personal experiences can often provide valuable insights into a product’s performance.
By choosing the right hail cover for your car, you can enjoy peace of mind knowing that your ride is protected against nature’s temper tantrums. So, don’t wait until the next storm hits—invest in a hail cover today and safeguard your wheels for the long haul.

Crit Role Miniature Rollout: C2E113
With Andrew Harshman
An archive and review of the minis used on CR.
So many area spells! Thank goodness for spell templates. I commend the table to tracking all these different ongoing magical effects.
Say, if you’re in the market for a mat, make it a Mats by Mars mat, such as the one featured in this mighty waterbound battle! Use my code: DNDEED1220 for 10% off your entire MBM order.
Mighty Nein, it’s morphin’ time, but also, it’s time for Crit role Miniature Rollout Campaign 2 Episode 113!
The List
Mats by Mars: Dark Caribbean Tabletop Wargaming Play Mat
Chest and Trove 5E Condition Rings
Icons of the Realms: The Falling Star Sailing Ship
Steamforged Games Critical Role Miniatures

Monster Menagerie 3 #012 Tridrone/Kraken Priest
D&D Nolzur's Marvelous Unpainted Miniatures: W6 T-Rex
Craft Foam Ice
Custom Cloven Crystal Mini
The MacGuffin
Cloven Crystal Custom Cloven Crystal
A simple and elegant customized model. The base appears to be a Icons of the Realms flying base. I highly recommend using a miniature in encounters such as this. When possession of an item is being contested, it is so helpful to have a physical marker to track its location on the battlemat.
The Monsters
Toad Demon Monster Menagerie 3 #021a Gray Slaad
Mini image sourced from minisgallery.com
Again with this teleporting toad tomfoolery. Wouldn’t teleporting be difficult and risky on a fast moving water vehicle? Would there not be major risk of miscalculating and ending up in the drink? Particularly dangerous for a cold blooded toad creature. I think it’s safe to say that this demonic Mr. Toad blink assassin is one hardcore operator.
This mini is rather lackluster. A somewhat interesting and somewhat dynamic pose, but pretty flat in all other aspects. I’m rather critical about the current line of licensed D&D miniatures, mostly because the previous line was so excellent. This is an ideal opportunity for me to demonstration what I’m talking about by directly comparing a current and an old D&D prepainted figure.
Left: Icons of the Realms Monster Menagerie 3 #021a Gray Slaad manufactured by Wizkids released in 2018
Right: Dungeons and Dragons Miniatures Savage Encounters 18/40 Gray Slaad manufactured by Hasbro/Wizards of the Coast released in 2009
While there’s perhaps an argument to be made over which has the better art direction and creature design, I think it’s a fair to say that the 2009 Gray Slaad has far superior manufacturing quality. Furthermore, I would wager that if Matt had access to both models, he would have opted to use the Dungeons and Dragons Miniatures jazz hands Gray Slaad.
The Dinosaurs
Caleb Polymorph Trex Form D&D Nolzur's Marvelous Unpainted Miniatures: W6 T-Rex
There it is in all its glory. The Nolzur’s king of the dinosaurs I mentioned in post C2E108. I ask you, is there any sight more satisfying than that of a t-rex atop a grand galleon? Not ruddy likely.
Closing Thoughts
I’m very pleased we got two episodes worth outta this map. Exciting stuff.

038) Blame (609)
Part of the Light to Dancing 100x100 List.
Rating: G
Featuring: Aziraphale to the rescue
—-
He should've known better, really. He always knew when Aziraphale was in trouble, didn't he? Always knew when he was needed because he'd just feel it. His angel fretting over something serious. That feeling hadn't been there in hindsight, but he'd still let the bastards trick him. Not very demony of him, unfortunately. He was probably the laughingstock of the Archangels now. And he really didn't think Aziraphale had the same sort of sixth sense when it came to him.
Not to say that Aziraphale didn't care about him, no. He loved him. He'd said so and everything. That wasn't the problem at all. It was the heroics. That was normally his end of things. His angel would be naive enough to believe in the best of people or he'd stick his nose somewhere it really didn't belong, and off he'd be whisked. Jail or death row or somewhere or other.
Now the tables had turned and Crowley had to be very careful how he got out. He was in a glass prison of holy water, surrounded by angels who wanted to see him do his little magic trick again. Bugger. He paced a bit, all gangly legs and swinging hips. He could probably slither out. He could be fast without legs when he needed to be, though a big black snake would be hard to miss against Heaven's pristine surfaces. Just as he was about to make a break for it, he felt it.
Angry footsteps and irritated scolding.
Aziraphale.
Aziraphale?
"-quite unorthodox. Absolutely ridiculous." The door of his prison slammed open, but the cracks forming in the ceiling and walls didn't spill a drop. It also somehow didn't make a sound.
There was a beat of silence and Crowley hooked his thumbs in his skinny pockets as if nothing at all was out of the ordinary. "Hi."
"Heaven, darling, really?"
He shrugged. "Ah, well... Y'know. Thought they had you."
"Hardly." He stepped back and Crowley stepped onto the white floors.
He nodded to the high windows. "Nice view, that."
"I'd rather see them in person. Now come along, my dear. We don't wish to get caught."
"How'd you even get up here?" Crowley wondered, eyeing his clothes. They'd looked normal for him, but were as white as their surroundings. Odd.
"I came in the front." He snapped and Crowley's own clothes turned just as white.
He grimaced. "What's that for?"
"Blending. In." Shaking his head, Aziraphale wrapped an arm around Crowley's and started guiding him away. Only when they were a safe distance away did the room collapse, letting water spilling across the floor. "You're lucky I knew something was wrong, you know."
"Yeah." Pause. "How did you?"
"Don't be silly, Crowley. I always know when something's the matter with you." Aziraphale guided him away from the main escalator, leading him to a rarely used service elevator instead. "Something was off today. Besides, I had a visit from some demons at my shop earlier and made the logical leap."
"Who?"
"Er. Well. I'm not sure, but I blessed your water mister right in front of them and aimed. You'll need to get a new one."
"That was the new one," Crowley protested, and Aziraphale shrugged apologetically.
They made their escape quickly and easily. It would've been embarrassing had any of the Archangels told anyone at all about their plans. But they didn't. And they wouldn't.
Ever.
Them or the equally embarrassed Dukes of Hell, who'd fled Aziraphale's shop in a fit of terror. Knowing who to blame for the lack of an Apocalypse and actually being able to punish them were proving to be very different things.

Best Singles of 2018 but it’s chill this year
This category should speak for itself but I just tacked so many amendments onto the description that it’s like... it just makes no fucking sense anymore. Technically this is a list for any single that was released this year or last year December (since I write these lists in December it’s easier for songs to slip under my radar so I sometimes count them for the next year, like the Grammy’s eh? But then sometimes I let a November 30th release date slide as well... or maybe the single was released earlier but the video would qualify or just... any dumb fucking reason. If you see a song that shouldn’t qualify just trust me to find a loophole so... lezzgo.
Also hey, I guess I’ll just straight up say it then, there’s no best covers, best collaborations OR best pop songs list either, I just kinda threw them all on here. With a good portion of this list being kpop I’d have to make a whole different kpop list too? No sir, no thank you, I’ll just dump it all on here especially since the past few years most of the pop songs list was already featured on the singles list so like... why make the extra effort? Enjoy All Songs.
Also the order is just ugh, it’s 200 songs, get off my weenie.

Crit Role Miniature Rollout: C2E112
With Andrew Harshman
An archive and review of the minis used on CR.
Maps and minis squeezed in at the last minute along with a wild returning villain revelation. Quite the final scene! A scene which was seemly determined by a random encounter table roll? My oh my, that’s quite the dangerous table.
Look at that beautiful blue water! And look at how quickly and easily that glorious mat material rolled out. Made by none other than Mats by Mars, a staple of Campaign 2. You too deserve a water mat of this caliber, head directly to matsbymars.com and use my code: DNDEED1220 for 10% off your entire order.
Shiver me timbers and what not, it’s time for Crit Role Miniature Rollout Campaign 2 Episode 112!
The List
Mats by Mars: Dark Caribbean Tabletop Wargaming Play Mat
Chest and Trove 5E Condition Rings
Icons of the Realms: The Falling Star Sailing Ship
Steamforged Games Critical Role Miniatures
Hero Forge Jester Duplicate
Maze of Death #029 Deep Lurker
War Drums #01 Arcane Ballista
Waterdeep Dragon Heist #011 Human Sun Soul Monk
Waterdeep Dungeon of the Mad Mage #013 Berserker
Waterdeep Dungeon of the Mad Mage #017 Berserker
Icewind Dale Rime of the Frostmaiden #038 Nass Lantomir
Steamforged Avantika
Craft Foam Ice
Returning Minis
Chuul Maze of Death #029 Deep Lurker

Ballistas War Drums #01 Arcane Ballista
Mini photo sourced from minisgallery.com
Several returning minis this session. In addition to those pictured above, one of the crew persons is Waterdeep Dragon Heist #011 Human Sun Soul Monk (as seen in the C2E89 fight club). The Arcane Balistas were featured in the Happy Fun Ball during the C2E81 mage hunter golem chase. And Deep Lurker (chuul) miniatures were in an underwater C2E47 battle. It’s noteworthy that the Arcane Ballista is not a cheap miniature, at the time of posting fetching around 25 to 35 dollars USD on the mini secondary market. Top quality production value here folks!
The Terrain
Midnight Hammer Wizkids Icons of the Realms: The Falling Star Sailing Ship
Ice Craft Foam
Water Mats by Mars: Dark Caribbean Tabletop Wargaming Play Mat
I wanna say that Midnight Hammer is a good metal band name. But I’m not totally sold. Maybe it makes for a better jazz group name? Well regardless of whether this is a good name for a band, it certainly is a good ship. I’m not really into the paper/plastic material deck, nor am I fond of the fabric sails (not featured in the episode), also the interior could have more detail, also... Falling Star is a pretty dreadful ship title imo. On the whole however, this is a pretty impressive prepainted product. Having played with this model in a home game, I can speak to the mighty table presence this ship has.
The NPCs
Barbarian Crew Members Waterdeep Dungeon of the Mad Mage #013 Berserker and Waterdeep Dungeon of the Mad Mage #017 Berserker
Mini photos sourced from minisgallery.com
Alt miniatures done right. I really dig this pair of figures. A fun chargin’ pose coupled with passable paint. And what a great pick by Matt, these two with their furry navy uniforms look right at home on an artic sea vessel.
Cozy Crew Member Icewind Dale Rime of the Frostmaiden #038 Nass Lantomir
Mini photo sourced from minisgallery.com
Another bundled up miniature. It’s unclear how bad or not this figure is. The online photos of this mini range from decent to dreadful. The model appears to suffer the common Icons of the Realms miniatures problem of low detail fidelity. Basically, the model looks smoother than it should with the details obscured and ill defined. It’s too bad, this seems like a neat quirky character design.
The Villains
Captain Avantika Steamforged Avantika
Mini photo sourced from Steamforged Games’s Twitter.
Avantika’s back with her very own Steamforged sculpt! Can’t wait to get a closer look at this paint job next ep. Looks good from here though!
Closing Thoughts
This battle is gonna be buh-rutal. Batten down the hatches, the hype is real!

Evaluation: Villa Mansa Wine Hotel & Spa, Lujan de Cujo, Argentina
Lush gardens, historic vines, shiny blue sky with pool to match, a gourmand restaurant and views of the snow-capped Andes… Villa Mansa is a high secret hideaway within the coronary heart of Mendoza’s wine state.
After escaping the site visitors of downtown Mendoza, we discovered ourselves within the picturesque countryside, passing fairly just a few upmarket lodging, wineries and mansions alongside the best way. My main trigger for wanting to check out the placement was for the Malbec, however on prime of the extraordinary wine, it turned out to be a glorious place for a little bit of R&R. Villa Mansa is on the end of a protracted, slim journey, which opens out onto numerous rows of great grapevines and vintage wine incomes merchandise.

Every house at Villa Mansa is known as after a grape assortment, from Petit Verdot to Sauvignon Blanc. I used to be above the moon to be remaining in Malbec… remaining in my favorite wine – it felt like future!
Malbec Room at Villa Mansa Resort
The roomy room was outfitted with all of the common options which embrace an unlimited tremendous-kingsize mattress – a single of the most important I’d ever seen. Décor adopted a white, deep pink and brown colour scheme, and the crisp white bedding was charming to twist up in quickly after a in depth working day wine tasting (difficult life-style!) I cherished the balcony area, which missed the gardens and past that, the magical snowy peaks of the Andes. It was a unbelievable place to take a look at the sundown from.

Supplier was nice and the crew spoke good English. Because the lodge is comparatively distant, we welcomed the crew’s suggestions of eating institutions to dine at and spots to cease by. Although we had just a few actions deliberate, they ended up happy to e book excursions to the shut by vinyeards, which incorporate Vistalba, Fabre Montmayou and Kaiken.
Simply one in every of my happiest reminiscences was the time I expended comforting by the swimming pool. With scorching temperatures near 30 ranges, it genuinely produced an enormous distinction having someplace to neat off. The lavish 4-poster sunbeds constructed it all of the extra soothing!

Alongside the workers and attendees, there have been being a lot of four-legged residents. Though not an enormous canine lover myself, they ended up properly behaved and didn’t pester far too rather a lot!
Tucked away concerning the exterior of the constructing had been some stunning alcoves – best for curling up with a information and a glass of wine when the heat received a lot too considerably (or for buying on with some operating a weblog!)

The making skilled a number of character with antiques dotted throughout – from aged chess units to typewriters and former wine-creating machines. There was a spa upstairs with two Jacuzzis, and massages had been additionally available to ebook. A spiral staircase led to a cute cellar space with a cava bar. I positively relished perusing the labels… however managed to protect my wine consuming for meals moments (and wine excursions!)

The meals. Oh the meals stuff! We skilled two nights at Villa Mansa so savored just a few journeys to the buffet breakfast, which included pastries, refreshing fruit and eggs cooked to get. After a number of cups of flavourless immediate espresso above the prior a number of months, it was a help to be served a robust, frothy cappuccino. One specific night we booked for night meal, savoring a balmy summer season’s night time on the terrace spot.

From starters of gazpacho and pickled rabbit, to mains of pasta, trout and rack of lamb, it was a gourmand menu that features seasonal elements and loads of objects from their yard.
We ordered a 2014 bottle of Malbec from shut by Bodega Vistalba and appreciated it with an amuse bouche of crisp mini bruschettas topped with tomato, cream and basil. If this was absolutely anything to go by, it was prone to be a meals full of unbelievable flavours.
For starter I tucked into grilled pear with goats cheese and rocket. Resembling a considerable salad, I liked the mix of candy, charred quarters of pear, loaded, creamy goats cheese, bitter leaves and the candy dressing. It was a really beneficiant portion however I couldn’t resist ending it!

My husband or spouse relished the pickled rabbit, which was served on toasted brioche, with blended leaves and beetroot. He appeared to approve because it was devoured in instances!

I bought lamb for my most necessary program, which was really properly seasoned, loaded, and juicy. Accompanying it was candy potato and a thick rosemary and garlic mayonnaise.

My accomplice loved the steak – an exquisite slice of meat, with utterly crisp potato rosti. I completely liked the garnishes of thyme and rosemary, all freshly picked from the again backyard.

With very little or no house, we soldiered on and buy dessert! Though my partner managed to squeeze in a tasty bowl of spiced caramelised peaches and pears with ginger ice product, I couldn’t assist however go for the brownie. The beneficiant slab was ample and simply the appropriate equilibrium of tender and chewy. The redcurrant sauce minimize via a number of the richness… however I used to be formally total – there was no method I might end it! Crushed by a brownie…

Luckily our house was only one specific flight of stairs away, and a pair minutes afterwards I used to be mendacity horizontal in a meals objects coma, taking advantage of a single of the perfect sleeps in ages.
If you wish to be within the coronary heart of city each day life, with cafes and shops in your doorstep – this isn’t the place for you. Ripple Effect
When Gregg Troy announced his retirement from the University of Florida in April, the sport’s immediate focus was how it would impact the Gators. But the real ripple effect of Troy’s retirement could be seen in American swimming from now through the 2020 Tokyo Olympics—and it might even change the way professional swimming is approached in the United States.
“We’ll call it semi-retirement,” Troy said. “I just think it was the right time. I have eight guys who have a great chance at making the Olympics, and it is going to take a lot of time. Collegiate coaching just takes a lot of time in itself—the commitment to meetings, school functions, recruiting. To do all of those things well and get kids ready for the Olympics, I just didn’t see as feasible.
I always ask that athletes give me the best they have, and I wasn’t sure if I could do the same as I had in the past.”
But just because he will have fewer distractions with a college team doesn’t mean he will be relaxing—and he definitely doesn’t expect his swimmers to relax.

by David Rieder
National teams that will compete at major international meets the rest of this year and next will be selected at this summer’s U.S. nationals. 020 OPPORTUNITY KNOCKS
by David Rieder
Team USA has long dominated the men’s 4×200 meter freestyle at major international competition. Although the Americans failed to win at Worlds in 2015 and 2017, last year’s performances at the college level in the 200 yard freestyle provide reason for renewed optimism.
022 THE “ART” OF SWIMMING
by Bruce Wigo
In the first half of the 20th century, sports cartooning was one of the most entertaining mediums within the spectrum of the graphic art world, and no American newspaper of any size was without its regular sports cartoonist.

Olympic gold medalist Blake Pieroni of Indiana University became the first man ever to break 1:30 for the 200 yard freestyle. With the kind of training he’s putting in with coaches Ray Looze and Mike Westphal—not to mention being a part of a training group consisting of many of the world’s best 200 freestylers—it’s exciting to think just how fast he can be.
