The reason's why Melissa, Carol and Caryl fans are upset.

Seems the only ones that are supporting Melissa are fans. Well the fans that are not so far up Norman's ass are supporting her. So many things have happened to disrespect Melissa over the years.

Anti's calling her old, granny, drug addict and Daryl's mom. Treating her like she is just a waste of space on the show. Thinking B level characters are better than her. Lol give me a break.

Castmate's calling her Daryl's odd mom while getting a pass from the anti's off the fandom. Not one article writer or review defended or supported Mel on this. Hell one writer did an article on Lynn C having a little bit of grey hair saying how much of a breakthrough it was. Lol now that Lynn is off the show she already dyed her hair. Where was the article about Mel being a trailblazer for keeping her grey hair? I'll wait.

Then you have two actresses on the show that were apart of two Daryl ships. That not one time defended Mel or even told their fans to chill out about their so called friend. One keep supporting her icky ship even after she knew her character was dead. Just adding more fuel for her fans to be nasty idiots. Then the other actress said this " Well shipping! Oh, I will say that the Caryl-ers and Donnie shippers will continue to waging that war. I think they'll keep it going. And I love, I love seeing that I happen." Like are you kidding me her fans have been so hateful to Carol and Mel and she is going to say this. Very disappointed in her and will never be a supporter of hers.

Then we get to Norman. He has seen and heard the things said about Melissa and Carol. Not ONE DAMN TIME DID HE SUPPORT OR DEFEND HER. He just added more to the hate with saying mom and sister shit. When that was only how he got into the scene and not how Daryl felt about Carol. He is terrible for making her go through all of this when he knows how much it hurts her. Any other leading man would defend their scene partner and leading lady. Not him he is too childish and doesn't want to piss the fans off. Oh wait he doesn't want to piss the haters of Mel and Carol off. When they actually hate and don't support him. All while piss off and pushing the fans that have supported him for years away.

Then we get to the Spin Off. Rumors started going around about the SO being moved because Norman wanted to be close to his family. The news comes out that "McBride dropped out of the spinoff because relocating to Europe to shoot the show proved “logistically untenable” for her, AMC said in a statement. " Just so happens Norman's women comes out a week before saying he would be in France with her all summer. Years ago DK said if she ever had kids she would raise them in France. This was said many many times by her. She said this in April 2022 ' I really enjoyed living in Paris. I hope we live there again" Just so happens the SO was moved to France after her saying all of this. Oh wait there's more DK had a movie that was to be filmed in France when Covid hit. It was pushed back to last summer than they had to postpone it again. Finally in the first f two months of 2022 it is finally going to be filmed in France the summer of 2022. Around the same time the rumors of moving the spin off came about. So it isn't hard to put two and two together that Norman had a lot to do with the SO moving and Mel being let go. Oh and Norman and Jeffery saying Mel needed a break just makes them look like ageist jerks. Acting like Mel is two weak to hang with the boys. And they are the only two that have said this. Mel not making a statement through her people tells me she was not the one that wanted out of this SO.

Hope this helps with why some of us are mad and disappointed at Norman and also AMC

Are you really, REALLY telling me that Judith and RJ were in Alexandria the whole time and we got no.. like.. reunions? These two kids hold the most significance of Alexandria’s children and we’re just supposed to believe that they simply APPEARED?

JDM and Eleanor Matsura have carried the performances for the back half of S11. I have LOVED watching Negan and Yumiko in 11C.

I still don’t understand how Negan and Maggie are supposedly going to end up in Manhattan for Dead City. The two of them quite literally are at odds. Maggie despised him. Then they’re suddenly going to be buddy buddy enough to be carrying an entire spin off together? 🤨

Using the Whisperer’s tactic of communication while in that horde is a brilliant idea. I would have loved to have seen this used sooner.

Honestly the best part of this C-List season is all the callbacks to the earliest seasons. Callbacks to Rick and Atlanta, to Lori and to Ezekiel’s earliest days we see in S7, to the parallel of Negan being forced to his knees vs him forcing Rick to his knees, I could literally continue.

This arc for Judith is so bitter sweet. This kid has had so many people who have loved her and she just wants to honor them. It’s exactly what I would expect for Rick’s daughter.

Being tested for HIV (and other blood-borne viruses, like Hepatitis C) is the first step in AIDS prevention. You should get tested if you're having sex right now, if you've had sex, or if you think maybe you might have sex. You should also get tested if you've used syringes for substance use, are using syringes, or might use syringes for substance use, or are partners with someone that does. You can also acquire HIV from shared piercing and tattoo needles.

You should know YOUR status, even if you don't know your partner's status. Some testing centers offer couple's testing - but make sure that option is one that you feel safe and comfortable doing.

A "non-reactive" or "negative" HIV test means that you can get on PrEP and keep your status that way, with correct and regular use.

A "reactive" or "positive" HIV test means that you can start ART (anti-retroviral treatment) that with regular and correct use, can bring your status to "undetectable" - which means that your viral load is undetectable on standard blood tests and you won't pass HIV to partners through sex.

Not a complaint, as such, but I wish there was more of a non-Western/colonial bit of theorizing around stuff in fandom.

It takes place in the Caribbean! We have an Indigenous lead and Black crew! We have a multi-racial/ethnic writer's room!

I am B A F F L E D that a fandom that can research forks, cravats and cakes don't make the effort to look into other interpretations of stuff.

Like, WHY is Oluwande so shocked by the racism he encountered at the French party? WHY is he the only Black crew member with a full, non-Europranized name? WHY was he received the way he was by the Indigenous tribe? I have only seen references in fic about his background connected to slavery or being on a plantation and it doesn't fit! He's more likely to be a Maroon than anything else, but it never comes up.

Frenchie is a clever rascal who was in service, has unusual beliefs and is decidedly uninvolved with Catholicism. If we ignore Joel's personal accent, could he have been from the colony of New France, or even Saint Domingue (my personal headcanon)?

New USAF KC-46A tanker now released to refuel 97% of the fleet

The new U.S. Air Force (USAF) KC-46A Pegasus tanker is now ready to meet 97% of the Joint Force's daily air refueling demands after the launch of the seventh set of Interim Capacity Liberation (ICR) missions.

General Mike Minihan, commander of the Air Mobility Command, approved the set on May 31, allowing the daily operational use of the KC-46A to refuel B-1B Lancer aircraft, variants of the C-135, the surveillance aircraft E-8 Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (JSTARS), EC-130H Compass Call, F-35B/C Lightning

"The reliable and safe capacity of the KC-46A tanker is now available to our joint and international partners," Minihan said. "In May 2021, the KC-46A was not released to operationally support any USTRANSCOM missions. With a team of amazing professionals across the company analyzing the data and making informed decisions about the risks, we deliberately and aggressively accelerate the operational use of Pegasus."

The first ICR approving the Centerline Drogue System mission suite was launched on July 9, 2021. In the last 12 months, the KC-46A has demonstrated increasing operational capacity at a rapid pace, despite restrictions and deficiencies.

The second milestone of the ICR was approved on August 5, 2021, marking the first decision of the ICR for the set of missions of the air refueling spear. This allowed USTRANSCOM to instruct the KC-46A to support the C-17 Globemaster III, B-52H Stratofortress and other KC-46A receivers.

"In the initial plan of the ICR, the launch of the first set of boom missions was estimated for May 2022," Brig. Gen. Gen. Ryan Samuelson, leader of the KC-46A cross-functional team. “Instead, dedicated operational data and squadrons focused on the safe execution of the mission carried the decision forward nine months, allowing aircraft and crews to accept operational missions that would otherwise be filled by occupied KC-135 and KC-10. Simply put, the wings said 'we have deficiencies in the system, but we got it' and delivered it."

On October 13, 2021, Minihan approved the third ICR. This decision allowed the KC-46A to refuel all variants of the F-15 Eagle and F-16 Fighting Falcon during USTRANSCOM missions. At that time, the KC-46A could support 62% of all receiving aircraft that requested air refueling support from USTRANSCOM.

Increasing this capacity to almost 70%, the fourth ICR signed on December 6, 2021 approved the KC-46A to refuel the AC-130J Ghostrider, HC-130J Combat King II, MC-130J Commando II, C-5M Super Galaxy and E-3G Sentry, as commissioned by USTRANSCOM.

In early 2022, operational and test data showed that the aircraft was able to withstand almost 85% of USTRANSCOM's air refueling tasks. In response, Minihan approved the fifth ICR on February 22, 2022, allowing refueling with the F-35A Lightning II and F-22 Raptor. The decision also released the KC-46A to support a variety of alert missions. The sixth ICR allowed the aircraft to be used in passenger transport and aeromedical evacuation missions.

In addition to ICR approvals, another important milestone for the KC-46A program occurred on April 18, 2022, when a Pegasus refueled the Spanish EF-18 Hornets, known in Spain as C-15s, during Pegasus' first Employment Concept Exercise, ECE 22-03, at Moron Air Base, Spain.

"This mission marked the first operational refueling of an international receiver for the KC-46A, paving the way for stronger interoperability with allies and partners," said Lieutenant Colonel Joshua Renfro, deputy leader of the KC-46A's all-one team. “After the decision to approve the Canadian and Spanish F-18s in early 2022, this ICR adds five more nations to the list of approved international receivers, including Finland, Italy, Australia, Malaysia and Switzerland.”

The Employment Concept Exercises, a subset of the KC-46A ICR plan, allow the AMC to employ the KC-46A in different scenarios. Some of these scenarios include Red Flag, Green Flag, overseas operations and Combatant Command exercises for more operational employment and evaluation of the KC-46A company.

Notably, ECE 22-03 also demonstrated the reliability of the platform. In Europe, the aircraft operated with a maintenance reliability rate of 98% for a month and a half.

"The KC-46A, its crews, maintenance and support personnel performed magnificently during these seven weeks in Spain," Minihan said. “They worked hard to run the aircraft during the ECE, including supporting a bomber task force, refueling U.S. fighters in Eastern Europe and completing the first operational refueling of an international aircraft. The AMC continues to increase refueling capacity while working to overcome the tactical challenges program."

Along with the decisions of the ICR to increase the operational capacity of the KC-46A, the wings continue to exploit the operational capacity of the KC-46A, as the 22nd Air Refueling Wing of McConnell Air Base demonstrated from May 5 to 6, when it completed a 24.2-hour flight on the KC-46A, breaking the record for the longest-running flight in AMC history.

During its entire day in the air, McConnell's KC-46A made dry contacts with another McConnell KC-46A, refueled four Marine F-35Bs and was refueled by another McConnell-based KC-46A. The flight also collected crucial data on human capabilities, the machine and the air refueling mission; the data will be used to determine the feasibility, limitations, potential risks and unique benefits that the KC-46A brings to the table on long-haul flights.

'Succession,' 'The Last of Us,' 'The White Lotus' and 'Ted Lasso' are among shows that landed the most Emmy nominations, which were revealed during a virtual ceremony Wednesday.

The nominations for the 2023 Emmy Awards have been revealed, with Succession, The Last of Us, The White Lotus and Ted Lasso among those landing the most noms.

Actors earning nominations included Pedro Pascal forThe Last of Us, Jeremy Strong for Succession, Quinta Brunson for Abbott Elementary and Jenny Ortega for Wednesday.

Emmy-nominated actress Yvette Nicole Brown and TV Academy chair Frank Scherma announced who will be competing for some of TV’s highest honors during a virtual ceremony on Wednesday.

Brown was nominated for an Emmy for her work on The Black Lady Sketch Show. Her other credits include Community, Central Park, Elena of Avalor, Disenchanted, DC League of Super Pets and Lady and the Tramp.

In order to be eligible for this year’s awards, TV shows had to have aired between June 1, 2022, and May 31, 2023.

The 75th annual Emmys are currently set to air live from the Peacock Theater (formerly the Microsoft Theater) on Monday, Sept. 18, from 5-8 p.m. PT/ 8-11 p.m. ET on Fox, with the Creative Arts ceremonies set for Sept. 9-10. A host for the Fox ceremony has not yet been revealed, but Jesse Collins, Dionne Harmon and Jeannae Rouzan-Clay are set to produce the telecast.

The Monday airdate for the Emmys is unusual for a year when the telecast, which rotates among broadcast networks ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC, doesn’t air on NBC.

The Emmys usually air Sunday nights, except when NBC hosts the telecast, when the awards ceremony has aired Mondays due to the network’s Sunday Night Football commitments. Indeed the 2022 Emmys aired on a Monday, Sept. 12, on NBC. Fox last aired the Emmys in 2019 when the show aired on a Sunday, Sept. 22.

Still, it’s possible that the awards presentations could get delayed if there isn’t a resolution to the ongoing writers strike later this summer. The possibility of an actors strike also looms as SAG-AFTRA continues contract negotiations with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) group representing studios and streamers, and the deadline for those talks is set for 11:59 p.m. PT on Wednesday. While the union agreed Tuesday to engage a federal mediation agency in its talks, which have been taking place since June 7, it said it would not extend discussions beyond Wednesday night’s deadline. The Directors Guild recently reached a new deal with the studios and streamers.

U.S. Air Force lands most C-130Hs due to cracks in the propellers

The U.S. Air Force (USAF) landed most of its older C-130H Hercules cargo planes and variants due to a problem with the propeller cylinders.

The Air Mobility Command (AMC) confirmed on Friday that a wide range of its C-130H fleet, which was 128 at the beginning of fiscal year 2022, cannot fly, and it is not clear how long it will take to replace all defective propeller sets.

The AMC said that 116 C-130Hs, including variants of the mobility aircraft, were grounded on Tuesday due to concerns that their propeller sets are defective and that inspections in the coming days will show how many of them have been affected.

The AMC said that the groundings are "generalized" and mainly affect the Air Force Reserve and the National Air Guard.

The unofficial Air Force amn/nco/snco Facebook page posted a screenshot of a technical order of time compliance on landings on Wednesday. On Friday, the page posted a screenshot of a slide that said that the cylinders of the propellers in question were installed in 100 C-130Hs, as well as all stocks of eight MC-130H Combat Talons, seven EC-130H Compass Calls and a TC-130H.

In a statement, the Air Mobility Command said that a maintenance team at the Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex in Georgia found a persistent leak coming from a C-130H propeller while testing the aircraft's engine after undergoing maintenance at the warehouse.

This propeller assembly was removed and sent to the propeller workshop of the complex, said AMC, where a technician found a crack in the cylinder set.

Other inspections found that two more sets of propellers had the same problem, added the Air Mobility Command.

AMC ordered immediate visual inspections at the field level on all C-130Hs with the oldest 54H60 model propeller, and then conducted metallurgical reviews and stress analysis, the command said. After these revisions, the Air Mobility Command issued another order to immediately replace the problematic propellers.

The command said that the newer C-130Js and C-130Hs that have already had their propeller sets updated with the eight-blade NP2000 system are not affected by the request.

This is the second time in more than three years that a significant number of C-130Hs have been grounded due to problems with the propeller. In February 2019, the U.S. Air Force landed 60 C-130Hs - at the time, almost a third of the fleet - for several weeks due to concerns that its propeller blades prior to 1971 could break. These C-130s had their propeller blades replaced in the following weeks.
