My own experience (feel free to share your own in the comments/reblogs! id love to see it!):

Ever since I was young, I almost only consumed content about inhuman things. Robots, zombies, animals, nature… you name it. Warriors Cats, Transformers, My Little Pony, basically anything David Attenborough was in.

When I watched Pokemon as a kid; I didn’t want to be a trainer, I wanted to be a Pokemon. When I read about animals from the books in the library; I mimicked what they did, imagining myself as a cardinal flying through the trees or a serval stalking through the grasslands. A sundew curling around its prey, a werewolf’s painful transformation.

And well, I always had an active imagination. When I was in elementary school and preschool, you weren’t allowed to go back inside during recess if you were cold. So I just sorta taught myself how to perceive things differently! I could make my body warmer just by thinking of it. Then, later I could manifest the feeling of wings, animalistic legs, sharper teeth, horns… yeah.

This definitely led to where I am now. A both spiritual and psychological connection to who I am deep down. I am human, yes. But over a lifetime of being unable to relate to others led me to find kinship in unlikely places.

Realizing that I truly am free to be who I want to be is insane. It's too much power.

I would say that the majority of people would stay human if given the chance to change. Me though?

I want to be holy, I want to be fearsome, I want to be a thing with teeth that rip and tear. I want to be covered in soft fur to look harmless when really I'm everything you never wanted.

This might just be my silly lil brain, but seeing how free the creatures here live makes me happier than anything because it tells me that I can live that way too. I am so much more than my meat suit.

The way I hear people talking about angels frustrates me so much even though I know it doesn't really matter?? I hate how "angelcore" is all soft pretty white porcelain dolls and has nothing to do with biblical rage of seraphim. I hate how seraphs are called "biblically accurate" when all angels are accurate we're just a different KIND of angel. Does this make sense?? Hello? Is the mic on?

Fun Fact: When I was little I used to do this thing that I called human watching. I would basically sit or stand there at recess and watch the children play. I watched every little thing they did, from their movments to their tones of speech. I would then copy them, and I quote "to try and apear more human."

It's almost Pride Month which means it's almost time for the Pride Angels pins restock!

The pins will be available when my shop reopens June 1 2023, 6PM PST. The restock will be very small, with only a few of each pin available. If they sell out before you can grab them please check with my stockists for availability.

When an Etsy shop is opened after being on vacation mode, the listings may not load right away if you go to the shop page. I have posted individual posts with links you can use to go directly to the listings. You can find them by searching through my #pride angels tag.

Answers to some FAQ:

I’m not planning to reprint any of these older designs, they are all limited edition.

I’m planning to redesign almost all the Pride Angels for a pin campaign next year.

You can find the list of all the designs I plan to draw for that in my About Page. I am not planning to add more to that list since it already has forty flags on it.

Otherkin Discord Coven

Hey all! Just wanted to advertise the new Coven Discord!

This discord is specifically for Vampires, Vampire Familiars, Ghosts, Undead, Werewolves (+ other weres), Demons, Angels, and Dragons. These are the specific groups this discord is made for. We feel like these kins are underrepresented and we would just like to make a community for these kins!

I know its a little cringe that I'm advertising a discord server but I would really like to have a nice community for these kins.

In this server we are also a practicing witch/vampire coven and we'd like to include the above listed kins into our group. We host talks, classes, tips, streams, movie nights, vcs, and game nights. We have pluralkit and tupperbox for systems as well. Nontraumagenic systems are not welcome (sorry). This is a safe space please no drama.

I don't know if I love or hate days where I feel more strongly connected to my types

Because, yeah I do love feeling like a funky little creature. I like snuffling around and daydreaming about being a divine being. Downside? I've got human business to attend to and for some godforsaken reason I can't escape it

Most days are easier than this, I can just function with minimal effort and keep my nonhuman vibes low. Today though, I want to make a form (nest) out of my bed, I want to stay in my soft clothes and feel my fur, I want to open all the windows in my room and let the light pour in because it makes me feel so at home, I want to people watch and stare longingly like im not one of them. But no, I have to put jeans on, write reports, and finish projects.

Edit: IT WOULD HAVE BEEN SO PERFECT TODAY ITS FOGGY OUTSIDE BUT JUST ON THE HILLS AND ALL THE TREES ARE COVERED IN RIME ITS FUCKING SPLENDID
