Felix is simply afab, perisex, but male. A gay male with a queer sense of self expression, but chalk that up more to freedoms and personal preferences. He’s not a total stereotype because he doesn’t have to be- He realized ‘late’, as an adult aged 22-26 (f→ nb→ m) due to obliviousness, really. No rough tragic childhood because of it, his dysphoria was private for...no reason, really. It was Lysandre (both ooc, and possibly IC) that made him realize post-Kalos that transness in those transmasc could be treated, y’know with Medicine. Lightbulb moment.

but, y’know, he’s Binary male. Even if he more ‘added’ things rather than taking them for the most part so to speak, and his looks don’t make him....NB. It makes him a diminutive dwarf, a little bit brown, not blessed w/ beard genes overtly, and at times, a bio dad.

His life is more comfortable with a deeper voice, some fluff, and flat chest! plus, he absorbed and internalized way too many 90′s boy sentiments if ya know what i mean.

As for Volo and any of my other canons, he’s schrödinger's trans, so despite his bio saying cis (by default), I am not opposed to writing him as trans. Mostly, I am both A] guilty of writing cis nonsense character development and B] find it interesting to see a cis male from a greek (and japanese) perspective.

Volo’s amab bi with a very queer presentation. Any dysphoria he might have, I lean towards societal in origin-- he’s let himself be hurt by other people, even temporarily. Volo is still showing effects of toxicity, and is....learning, discovering. And, rebelling. He’s kinda stuck between antiquity and progression, moving very forward to the grind. That, and his own past and future, his place in the world. He either hasn’t learned to be selfish in the ‘right’ way, orrrrr just kinda let his rage slip a lil, depending on verse.

As for Amadeus being Felix’s ancestor, I don’t currently have a canon assigned gender for him; just that he’s male. I might just literally say fuck it, and say he’s simply reproductively compatible with who he ships with. Right now he’s the only character I have like this with no ‘default’, and the simple answer is that he is bi and i’unno.

I don’t have much for him, besides the fact that he has a daughter, who ends up eventually caring for Felix from age 6-13 as she ends up in Kanto, specifically Mintale town at the ripe young age of 138-ish.

He doesn’t really ‘need’ to be one way or the other, like it doesn’t matter much.

reminding me of putting out there my teeny tiny headcanons that because of the Jaw’s size and nature and his degree of compatibility with Marcel, he: - has one of the fastest transformation speed among all titan shifters, if he isn’t flat out the fastest to transform - either that or he comes second to Pieck/the Cart, and without her extreme endurance. - he has one of the fastest healing and self-regeneration factors, but that is precisely what comes at the cost of endurance - he can’t multiply transformations like the Cart or even the Attack titan do - can’t stay within his titan for extended periods of time - at the expanse of mental energy, he can speed up his already fast physical regeneration process - the flip side is, he has a very hard time slowing it down/stopping it entirely. in the verse where he survives Paradis, he dedicates a lot of energy and ingeniosity in not getting visible injuries/hiding from everyone in the Cadet Corps/Military Police if he gets any. light injuries are controllable, but broken bones or open wounds are tricky.

major canon divergences 

( i don’t expect anyone to read this because it’s a lot lmao. this is more so for me to have a reference because i forget things about my own muse / canon rip. if we’re rping together we’re probably also talking ooc so anything important from this post will be mentioned to you at some point. )

( please note that by canon, i’m referring to my general main verse which includes no interactions with other muses. each interaction with a muse is put into its own verse. new interactions can come into the main verse at any point of the timeline and then diverge from that point. )

does not marry curtis. they noticed each other because they worked closely as part of the atlas crew and maybe if the time and place were different there might’ve been a chance for them to get to know each other and form something but for shiro, there is a lot weighing on his mind that he needs to wade through

( a ) shiro has been thru Sum shit and he has an endless list of reasons to be sad but i just want to make it known that shiro’s no. 1 source of guilt and just general mind-anguish is the fact that he is living in a borrowed body, that he took from someone who had to die for him to live. 

( b ) at this stage he is also coming in touch with his feeling for keith which have been with him for a while, so even if he was aware of other potential interests . . . he’s not actually interested back.

adam is alive. he was critically injured in the first wave of attack by sendak and recovered enough only to provide ground support for the second wave. he remains an officer of the garrison and heads training and recruitment. he does not fly again. he’s happily married and reaches out to shiro. they’re amicable, but not close friends. maybe eventually they will be. ( this will obviously not be the case if i’m writing with an adam. )

allura is alive – i need to rewatch the end of season 8 to figure out how, but she’s alive.

after a year or so of captaining the atlas, the need for atlas to be an offensive military ship decreases and shiro consults sam and pidge for their thoughts on deweaponising his prosthesis. The new arm is still powered by allura’s crystal but looks more similar to the galra arm ( except it starts at the shoulder since his bicep??? disappeared magically ), but it’s coloured white and light grey, and the lit up areas are aqua ( same as the crystal. )

speaking of the crystal . . .  the original arm was designed to operate via a balmera crystal, because that’s what most of altean designs are based off of. however they didn’t have a crystal to use, and sam says the remaining energy required for the armto work would be drawn from shiro’s own electromagnetic field. he tries it for the first time and . . . his body rejects it, in what looks like an incredibly painful and potentially fatal way, if it hadn’t been for allura stepping in and replacing the original energy source for the arm with the crystal from her tiara. we don’t ever find out why shiro’s body rejected the first energy source but here are 2 theories:

( a ) shiro’s body is actually kuron’s body, a clone, manufactured by haggar, using ~space science~ and likely some form of quintessence. the electro magnetic field coming off of the clone’s body would vary to that of a human’s, which is what sam would’ve based his calculations on. balmera crystals have incredible properties that aren’t really explained in great detail but we know how powerful they can be, regardless of size. 

( b ) because it’s kuron’s body, maybe the connection to haggar didn’t completely shut off when keith cut off the arm. that flash that happens when the arm connects and shiro’s body starts rejecting it is very similar to the flash that happens when haggar starts controlling kuron earlier ( better explained in this headcanon piece. ) my only issue with this headcanon is that it implies haggar may still have some degree of control over shiro, and I just………….it’s been so overused, i just don’t want that for shiro anymore, so i’m most likely sticking to theory a !!!!!

still on the subject of the crystal, let’s talk about what shiro says after allura places the balmera crystal in his arm ; “i feel strange . . . i feel – great !” strange, as in he’s feeling something he’s never quite felt before. this is in contrast to what he feels when the first energy source is used in his arm ; “i feel . . . good,” but he sounds hesitant, like he doesn’t feel good at all, and obviously we see why moments afterwards. the great part is emphasised. he almost seems excited, like he really does feel great, and the scene cuts off with him trialling his arm by making a fist, and smiling. again, the properties of the crystals are pretty much undefined, but they are an immense source of power – what allura’s tiara contains is likely more than enough required to power shiro’s arm, and going back to how allura operated the castleship, and how shiro is able to operate the atlas, i’m loosely headcanoning that the crystal acts as a link between “captain” and “ship”, though obviously, allura herself channels quintessence and has so much more capabilities as a “captain.” 

what does the crystal providing an energy source for not only the new prosthesis, but also shiro’s body mean for shiro? an external boost of energy and human-compatible quintessence is probably the first dose of anything resembling treatment shiro has had since the kerberos mission. i don’t see the balmera crystal nor altean healing pods having the power to edit genes but as far as healing goes, it must have some effect in alleviating pain and / or fatigue for shiro to exclaim, “i feel great !”

( a ) sometimes it’s difficult to write in a universe set in the future because things of our current reality ( social injustices, shit politics, technological limitations etc. ) may not be a reality say 100 years in the future, and add space and alien technology to the mix and you’re sort of left with a lot of potential for creation and imagination and progression but also hindered by the reality of present day and representing present day. i wouldn’t want to “magic” away shiro’s disease or magically come up with a cure, but at the same time i don’t want to take away the possibility for him to be potentially cured ( which is what the “i feel great !” line hints towards ) just because of the limitations of today ???????? i’m just having an inner conflict over this - i will update what i decide when i decide !! 

major fanon divergences

does not qualify as space dad. it simultaneously infantilises the other paladins and takes away from their own journeys of being forced to grow up too quickly and take on the responsibility of fighting in a war, and puts undue stress on shiro who is only ~25 himself responsible for his team only in the role of their commanding officer at best

his prosthetic arm is not a sex toy, it’s a prosthesis ( refer to this post on arm related bed time activities )

shiro did not have a romantic connection with keith pre-kerberos. if anything the earliest signs of anything resembling a romantic connection would be late into season 2, but that is pending heavy plotting

shiro came from a happy family . . . he just lost almost all of it very early on. he grew up loved even though he learnt about loss too quickly ( please refer to this headcanon. )

shiro cannot sing lol . . . i dont know where this headcanon came from, but it’s sticking

i think it’s popular headcanon for shiro to have a little sister, or a big family; i wrote his backstory with his older sister before i came across this, so i’m sticking to my original headcanon because his bond with his sister is so strongly formed in my head  

shiro is not afraid of death . . . but he doesn’t want to die. i feel like his relationship with death needs its own post but the tl;dr version of it is that he had a timer put on his life when he was around 17 years old. life goes from seemingly endless to suddenly very very short ( not just in the sense that his lifespan is predicted to be shorter, but that his body will soon restrict him in movement and opportunity. ) and then kerberos happens, and the arena happens, and voltron and zarkon and he’s reminded that life is short regardless of whether they give you a timer at 17. any moment could be his last and shiro has had a long time to come to terms with this. it makes him incredibly grateful for the present, and of what he’s had in the past. it also is potentially why he prioritises a mission that will take him to see the stars, over a relationship with adam ten years down the track.

PSA: On OCs and Crossover muses

[I have thought about the question of whether I’m open to OCs and crossovers for a while and this is the conclusion I’ve come to:

The answer to both questions is an ‘it depends’.

When it comes to OCs, they should obviously be well-developed and three-dimensional characters, but on top of that, in order for interactions between them and Tom to be logical, there needs to be something to them that would make Tom benefit from interacting with them. If there is nothing the muse in question has to offer to him as a tool or a piece to his plans, he will not bother having any prolonged interactions with them. As he is on the ace spectrum and an INTJ on top of it, he will not be paying attention to a muse simply because they are considered ‘attractive’ by others.

In order to make me, the mun, more motivated to consider Tom & OC interactions, it would be nice if you could give me a brief summary of what your OC is like before making me read walls of text about them.

In regard to crossover interactions, I have decided that I will be selective about them: First of all, all conditions I have placed on Tom & OC interactions need to be met. Second, if I am not familiar with your muse’s fandom, your muse needs to either have a Harry Potter verse or you need to present me with an AU idea that intrigues me and that is compatible with your muse and Tom. A small hint: If you can come up with a nice fairy tale AU for our characters, I’m a lot more likely to say ‘yes’ than to any ‘modern AUs’ or similar boring plots.Third - and this is something that applies to Tom & OC interactions too - if you roleplay as a muse of power and your intention is to defeat and/or tame and/or humiliate Tom, this is the wrong blog for you as I have absolutely zero interest in interactions of that nature.

If any of these points sound harsh or intimidating, I apologize. I’m actually quite approachable and friendly, which I believe most of the people I’m currently interacting with IC and OOC can confirm.

Overall Opinion: Just the sheer depth and variety of original characters you have in your arsenal, and the creative mind you have to juggle all of those at once; for that, my friend, I salute you. Big respect.

On the Muses -

    Hidan is a priest with extremist tendencies. You will often find him with some sort of weapon in his body as a part of ritual self-mutilation. Body horror, existentialism, and general violence is to be expected, and will be tagged accordingly.

    Hidan is mostly friendly and contemplative, but easily slips into teasing that can be cruel. He isn’t looking for relationships that aren’t between him and the Big Guy Down There.     Why didn’t you follow me back?

First, this is a side blog. I may have followed you back from my main, “akatsings”. You do not have to follow that blog for me to interact with yours.

Second, I don’t automatically follow back. If I do, I may unfollow at will—nothing against you, I just aim to keep my dash focused for my muses.

Third, if you don’t see that in your follower list, don’t worry! I still answer casual asks (ooc and easy interactions) from anyone, both rp and non-rp blogs.

    How selective are you in general?

I will not respond in detailed prose to any rare, crossover, or OC character without an easy to find biography/intro. I am not researching your muse. That is not fun—it’s homework.

OOC and headcanon asks are fine, though.

I will not answer shipping, violent, or sexual asks for anyone but my mutuals. Even then I only answer what inspires me.

The reason for this is that my muses tend to respond aggressively to unsolicited advances, and I don’t always feel comfortable answering in character.

I won’t thread for anyone but long-term friends or those who respect and understand the dynamics of my characters.

I reserve the right to determine who does and does not meet the above qualifications.

    How selective are you in shipping?

It usually takes me two to three sentences of a reasonable argument/AU to ship something, but I won’t do all the work to make it “happen.”

Further: Just because I generally ship something, doesn’t mean that I will automatically ship my muse with yours. Different muns have different portrayals and different writing styles for the same muses; sometimes these portrayals click. Other times they don’t.

    What if my character doesn’t meet yours in canon?

That’s fine! Just ask or dm me with how you want them to interact (friends? Rivals? Comrades? Etc), plus a scenario where they do meet, and I will tell you how my muse will react in that situation, and then we’ll move on from there.

    What if I want to make an AU for our muses?

Same as above! Give me an idea and we’ll talk about it.

I generally have a lot of open-ended verses that I adapt to fit other people’s muses and ideas. You are free to propose a variation on them, or another verse entirely. However, I won’t be doing all the work in order to get our characters to meet, interact and like/dislike each other—that’s unfair, and too much work on one mun.

If you’re having trouble, start with— “I really think it’s cool if X and Y character—“ etc. Or how you think our characters would work together.

    What if I accidentally break a rule of yours?

If you’re a mutual, I will take a screenshot of the rule and kindly remind you to abide by them. If you’re a stranger, I will automatically soft block or block, depending on how badly the rule was broken and how uncomfortable I feel.

I don’t make these rules to be mean, but to save the time and energy of us all. So if these rules are disregarded, then we will have to cut our losses. I will unfollow when I feel like someone has not read my rule page, and not be inclined to interact.

Things I won’t RP:

Smut (although I am okay with innuendo, suggestive asks, and the typical Sexual Sunday/TMI Tuesday/Fetish Friday stuff.) I am of age, but I don’t feel comfortable writing it. If sex actually happens, I’m happy to ‘fade to black’ and then skip to afterwards.

Rape/Non-con (it’s just not something I’m comfortable with. So if Bill tells your character ‘No’ or I say ‘No’ from a mod to another, it means ‘No!’ Just because he can mesmerise doesn’t mean he’ll use it for that.)

Pedophilia (No. Just no! No! I don’t think I need to explain why I won’t. At least, I hope not.)

Bestiality (Again. No. I see that kind of stuff as being very wrong, although I am willing to discuss things regarding werewolves, splices etc.)

Pregnancy (once again, not something I’m comfortable with. it scares the shit out of me and grosses me out)

Alpha/Omega/Beta verse. (Not to sound shaming to anyone who does like it, but I really don’t. It creeps me out way too much. It makes me shudder.)

Age regression to the point of depending on other muses. (It makes me uncomfortable too. If Bill ever gets turned into a kid, he will stay at an age where he is fairly independent and capable of looking after himself.)

Some Magic Anons (e.g. body swaps, weight gain, ones that change his personality in his extreme way, make him attracted to someone else, change his sexuality, ‘smutty’ stuff (e.g. aphrodisiac/heat effects) etc.)

With ‘real’ muses. If you have a real person (e.g. a youtuber, an actor, a kpop artist etc.) as your muse or one of them if you’re a multi-muse blog, I would rather not roleplay with them. Nothing against you, it just makes me feel a bit iffy. I’m okay with them being faceclaims for muses and I’m okay with alter egos (e.g. Antisepticeye or Darkiplier because they’re fictional characters as well), but if it’s an actual real person as a muse, I’d rather steer clear. Self-inserts also count under this I’m afraid. If you roleplay as yourself in threads, and the mun and muse are one and the same, then I’d rather not. Again, just like with roleplaying with real people, I just feel iffy about it.

Other things:

Please don’t godmod. Of course, minor things like passing something to Bill and assuming he took it is fine. I will let you know if you are because it can be an easy mistake to make sometimes. However, if you continue to do it, then I will not continue with the thread.

This blog is 18+. While I don’t smut, sometimes asks can be rather suggestive, and the blog does sometimes delve into more sensitive topics. For that reason, I’d rather minors stay away. 

When it comes to replies, I can be rather fast. That doesn’t mean I expect you to be. There is never any rush or pressure to reply quickly. I promise. Don’t stress yourself out. Take as much time as you want and remember that you never need to apologise or anything like that. There’s no deadline. It’s a hobby. Not a job.

I am mutuals-only but I am not completely closed off. Feel free to send an ask if you would like me to check out your blog and see if our muses are compatible.

The same goes for matching post length, especially when I write a starter. I have a habit of setting the scene and I do sometimes use a few too many details. As long as I have something to work with and it’s at least a paragraph, then don’t worry about matching reply length.

If you can’t answer an ask I’ve sent because you’ve got too many already or you feel you just can’t give a good answer, or you feel a scenario wouldn’t work, don’t worry. Just don’t answer it. Delete it, forget, and don’t sweat it.

Same for dropping a thread. If you feel a need to drop a thread with me, because you don’t have anymore ideas, you’re not enjoying it anymore, you’ve got a lot of other threads going on and you feel overwhelmed etc., just do it. I will not hold it against you.

Basically, your comfort is important. Do what’s what right for yourself and I will do what I can to accommodate you.

If you have any problems or you want me to tag something or you want to discuss anything, just talk to me. I don’t bite.

If we’re going to roleplay, I would find a lot easier if you have an About Page (for canon characters, even linking back to a Wiki page will suffice) and a Rules Page. Just enough so I know what you prefer and what your character is like. I think it just makes things a lot simpler for everybody involved.

I love getting asks. I really do. If you want to continue the ask as a thread, I would really appreciate it if you made a new post for it (linking back to my answer or quoting me) and then tag me in it. It just looks a whole lot neater and makes trimming tidier.

That said, if you want to reblog the ask just so you can keep it on your blog (I know some people who have done that), then you are more than welcome.

If you’re going to reblog an ask meme from me, please at least make the effort to send something from that meme in. It’s why I reblogged it after all. If you can’t or don’t want to, try and get it from the source instead. This is something you should keep in mind for everyone you roleplay with. I will do the same for you.

What are mun’s ships for their muses?

     [ A good question, nonny! In truth I don’t have that many...? A lot of the charries I write here I consider either VERY difficult to ship, or have one set ship for them. I’m gonna put this under a cut cuz it’ll probably be long, lol ]

Itachi: So this particular Itachi, by default (as with all the muses here, actually) is from a very long RP before Tumblr with two friends. In that RP, he was paired with the main muse from @kusunokihime! And because of the nature of how that story went (which I call A Light Amongst Shadows, the primary verse here), I don’t have him open to ship with anyone else. T’is just how the narrative works!

Sasuke, by default, I ship with Hinata (typically mine, but also with @historias-multorum in our little blending of verses). I...really don’t see him ever shipping with anyone else simply because of how closed-off I write him? I could talk about it for days but in short, he’s just not really a shippy kinda guy.

Hinata is probably my most openly-shippable canon bean! By default I do write her with my Sasuke, but honestly she’s a very loving girlie, so I can see her opening up to other muses! I actually do love Naru///Hina, but not so much the canon version. I’d love to write out a romance with them from scratch! Otherwise, with her, I don’t have much planned / established beyond with my Sasuke, but she’s very compatible imo!

Shisui is...complicated. I’ve shipped him twice in the past, on a different blog I had: with @wanderingmelodies‘ Rin, and @quiet-kunoichi‘s Kimiko. In all honesty Shisui’s a very charming, flirty guy? But he’s actually really flighty when it comes to actual relationships, and he’s not about hookups. He just likes to tease. In actuality he’s very hard to pin down, mostly because of how I write his time between his “death” and his reappearance post fourth war. He’s got some unpacking to do. So while he might flirt with a muse, it wouldn’t be easy to actually ship with him. Otherwise, I don’t have anything set up! And I’m not sure if either of those ships are ongoing with the new blog~

Neji I by default ship with Tenten - I have another muse who is his biological child with her, and another they adopt! Given how prim and proper he is (very...old-school. Kinda conservative?), it’d take some work to get with him in an AU. He’s haughty and proud. Proving themselves to him for another muse would be hard, but...not ENTIRELY impossible?

Hanabi I don’t really ship. I think Kono///Hana is cute, but I’ve never actually written it. I don’t have her paired with anyone in the ALAS fic as of yet! She’s a bit like Shisui: a little precocious, but also conscious of her role as Hyūga heiress.

Tenkai (my older Sasu///Hina babb) I pseudo-ship with Akane on my other blog, who is a Naru///Saku daughter! I say pseudo cuz...they only get up to 14 in the fic, so...not really the age to fully date, imo lol. I haven’t gotten to write him much, so I’m not fully sure how well he’d open up to other ships? But we could try!

Chikyū (the younger Sasu///Hina babb) is...a strange bean. I don’t ship her with anyone, and...I’m not sure how she’d react to shipping lol (tho again, since they stay minors, it wouldn’t be anything hot and heavy unless written at a point in their timeline where they are adults). But again, I haven’t written her much, so we’d have to just see!

Higure (Neji’s adopted pseudo-clone...see her bio for details cuz it’s a long story lol) I pair with Fugaku II on the main blog. I’ve...never really considered shipping her! But she might give it a try. They’d have to be very patient though, she’s a fragile bean.

Hinode is the Neji///Ten bean, and by default he’s with Reika II on the main blog. But he’s a good kiddo, he’d probably get along with someone else all right! Keyword is kid, tho - just fluff unless aged up!

Manami is my OC I made to be both Mikoto’s older sister, and Shisui’s mother! I write her with another OC, Junichi, meant to be Kagami’s son. But she IS originally slated to marry Fugaku, so...that’s something I sorta ship? Otherwise she’s pretty chill, so honestly I’d say she might consider a ship if she got on with someone okay! I also guilty pleasure ship her with Reika on the main blog, but...that’s a major AU lol

Hanako, Hinata and Hanabi’s mother, I really only ship with Hiashi. But I haven’t had any inklings of other ships? Maybe with Mikoto in a random AU, I dunno!

Hotaru, Neji’s mom...I dunno. She’s very staunch in her beliefs, so she’d probably only ever get with another (male) Hyūga. But hey, things happen!

Mikoto’s primary ship is, of course, with Fugaku. But I dream of a modern AU (or maybe even canon >w>) where she and him end up seeing things differently and divorce...and she ends up with Kushina. At first as friends, but then things...y’know...it’d be cute xD LET NART AND SAUCE BE ACTUAL BROTHERS. Otherwise, I’ve never planned or plotted anything with her!

Fugaku is again with Mikoto, maybe Manami. Otherwise...no idea. He’s a bit of a grump, but just...overly serious (as laid out in his bio). I dunno how he’d get on with other muses. We’d have to see!

Obito I don’t really ship. Maybe in an AU with Rin, tho I kinda prefer Kaka///Rin, tbh. I DO sometimes indulge @abyssaldespair‘s anons about OUR ship on THIS blog, but otherwise...I just don’t see him derailing his plan for a romance. It just doesn’t seem viable to me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Madara I also don’t really ship? I only write him in a few AUs, and...they’re not too flashy with him. AtLA he has whatever NPC wife to carry on the main Fire Nation family. Pokémon he’s too busy running Team Rocket. DL, he’s kinda lost it. And OMaM...he’s open to brief flings, but not anything solid. He sort of treats partners like...an entertainment. And things get old. Heck he even treats the one ship I have on the other blog like that. So...actual romance? Prooobably not. MAYBE flings in OMaM, but...I’m not that great at writing random smut? So I doubt I’d actually write anything out.

     Anyway...I guess that’s everyone? There’s a lot of...variety in how I perceive each muse and their ability to form relationships. My more “main” muses (those toward the top on the muse page) tend to have very severe mental and emotional trauma. Forming bonds isn’t easy. And I don’t wanna make anyone ooc of how I write them just to ship, y’know? But thank you for asking! I have a soapbox to get on. And I hate to do it.

Despite already stating that chemistry is most important to me in my About page, I feel I must be more explicit. The following are my guidelines and boundaries regarding romantic ships.

Please read if you are interested in shipping with my muse.

This is a bit long, so in advance, thank you for reading. I appreciate it very much.

I want to state from the beginning that this post is not in direct response to any one person, but a result of many, many instances over the years of people pressuring me to ship. I am annoyed. I write a muse who is sexually active in canon. My other muse (that I’ve had for years) is also very sexually active in canon.

Despite circumstances surrounding their sexual history being specific and not at all random, especially with Elektra, this seems to lead people to believe they are “easy” women, and it is okay to immediately assume they will sleep with their muses. People have come into my inbox and roleplayed ripping off my muse’s clothes, and been sexually aggressive without any pretense or so much as a hello. I have had muns be shocked when my muse rejects a kiss when they have never discussed shipping with me before. I resent this.

I do not Auto-Ship.* I write chemistry-based pairings only.

This means if our muses have never interacted, and do not have a canon romantic history, we will need to thread before we ship. Our muses will need to get to know one another, you know, like people do in real life. Because while rping is meant to be fun and it’s fictional, in order for me to have fun, I have to play my character as genuinely as I know how to.

This is especially irritating when I see people claiming to WANT to write interesting, non-romantic relationships (friends, enemies, co-workers, whatever), but then only write ships, or never speak to me again when I am not interested in shipping. If that’s what you want to do, that’s fine. I get the want to ship, I do. But it’s also okay if we are not compatible partners because we want different things. It’s neutral. I would just prefer if you were upfront with me about what you want. This is me being as upfront as I possibly can.

Here are some things to know about Elektra if you want to ship with her:

She’s about 33 years old in a typical verse. She is not going to be interested in someone 18-29, except with strong chemistry at the upper end of that range. I realize this is the age range for many muses.

She doesn’t prioritize romance in her life. She’s been raised to value self-reliance and not let anyone become too important to her-- it conflicts with the Warrior Life. She’s terribly lonely, but she doesn’t pursue lasting connections.

She does have one night stands. However, if she has a one night stand, the odds of her ever wanting to see that person again are slim to none. And her motivations for doing this are not always healthy.

In the comics, when she does date someone, it’s often to kill time or to fill a hole in her heart. Being seriously interested in someone is rare.

Along with not prioritizing romance, she’s busy. She manages the business interests of the Natchios family by day, and fights a war by night. She’s got other things on her mind.

Elektra is not easy. She is difficult. She does not sleep with people quickly if she actually likes them (i.e. she gets to know them for a few weeks probably, like how people in real life usually do). Plus, she’s a dangerous woman. She’s an assassin. She’s easily bored and has particular tastes. Not everyone is her shot of tequila, and she’s not everyone’s cup of tea, either.

This might be the most difficult thing: In show canon, she is deeply in love with Matt Murdock.

It is show canon that they never get over each other, not even after 10 years of not seeing each other. He is the love of her life.

If you wish to rp with an Elektra that never met Matt, that is an option, but she will not be the same person she was after falling for him. I generally like to keep him in her backstory because he is so important to her development.

I have said this before, but I would love to write Elektra falling in love for the 2nd time, for Elektra to realize that she can love again, but that would take building a relationship with someone else, building trust and friendship, someone having compassion for her and treating her like a person. It isn’t a quick journey, but I think it’s a worthwhile and rich one.

I have verses in which they are not together and she understands they will not be together. I usually set this after 2x10, when Matt essentially breaks up with her and she goes to leave New York to get out of his life.

I am interested in writing a wide spectrum of types of romantic relationships. One night stands that never got a call back, or still have to interact with her frequently, or unrequited crushes, or a bitter relationship that she’s only one foot in, or two people mutually using each other. I’m very open to trying lots of things, I’m very interested in developing relationships.

But if you want an Elektra that is genuinely in love with your muse, it will take time for her to fall.

If you are only interested in writing with me to ship, I might not be the right partner for you. I am not offended by this and I hope you are not either. We just want different things.

Sidenote for Female Muses: I rarely (if ever) receive ship pressure from muns of female muses. I’m adding this because I think it’s already hard to get threads of any kind going between female muses, and that muns of female muses (like myself) probably feel less confident in asking for or pursuing f/f ships. I want to add this note to say that this is not directed at female muses so please do not think I’m vagueing about unwanted f/f ships. However, I don’t think Elektra is the type to think much about her sexuality, so f/f ships with her will likely include a lot of doubt and questioning on her part/her journey unless it’s in an AU.

TL;DR: I love ships, I do. But sometimes our muses are not going to be compatible. That’s okay, there’s other things we can do. If you aren’t interested in other things, that’s okay too. We just might not be right for one another. Just please do not assume Elektra is sexually available to your muse from the start. She gets treated like an object enough in her life.

*the major exception to Auto-Shipping is with Matt muses, because they have an thoroughly established romantic history (and because I make the rules of this blog). I am okay with Matt muses being automatically romantic with her even if we haven’t interacted ic or ooc yet. However, this doesn’t mean I’ll pursue it if I don’t think we vibe as rp partners, and that doesn’t mean I’ll write smut with every Matt, or even write romance with every Matt. They’re fun as adversaries, too.

On the Muses -

    Sasori is a puppet master with sociopathic tendencies. You will often find him in his puppet studio converting human beings into specimens in his collection. Body horror, suspense, and general creepiness is to be expected, and will be tagged accordingly.

    Sasori is prickly and rude at worst, and extremely disinterested at best. Please be patient with him, as he will not warm up to most right away. If you want him to be gentle or soft, please DM to plot out something with the Mun.

      Are you affiliated with Akatzombie?

No. Akatzombie—though my friend—is run by another wonderful, talented mun.

      Why didn’t you follow me back?

First, this is a side blog. I may have followed you back from my main, “akatsings”. You do not have to follow that blog for me to interact with yours.

Second, I don’t automatically follow back. If I do, I may unfollow at will—nothing against you, I just aim to keep my dash focused for my muses.

Third, if you don’t see akatsings in your follower list, don’t worry! I still answer casual asks (ooc and easy interactions) from anyone, both rp and non-rp blogs.

      How selective are you in general?

I will not respond in detailed prose to any rare, crossover, or OC character without an easy to find biography/intro. I am not researching your muse. That is not fun—it’s homework.

OOC and headcanon asks are fine, though.

I will not answer shipping, violent, or sexual asks for anyone but my mutuals. Even then I only answer what inspires me.

The reason for this is that my muses tend to respond aggressively to unsolicited advances, and I don’t always feel comfortable answering in character.

I won’t thread for anyone but long-term friends or those who respect and understand the dynamics of my characters.

I reserve the right to determine who does and does not meet the above qualifications.

      How selective are you in shipping?

It usually takes me two to three sentences of a reasonable argument/AU to ship something, but I won’t do all the work to make it “happen.”

Further: Just because I generally ship something, doesn’t mean that I will automatically ship my muse with yours. Different muns have different portrayals and different writing styles for the same muses; sometimes these portrayals click. Other times they don’t.

      What if my character doesn’t meet yours in canon?

That’s fine! Just ask or dm me with how you want them to interact (friends? Rivals? Comrades? Etc), plus a scenario where they do meet, and I will tell you how my muse will react in that situation, and then we’ll move on from there.

      What if I want to make an AU for our muses?

Same as above! Give me an idea and we’ll talk about it.

I generally have a lot of open-ended verses that I adapt to fit other people’s muses and ideas. You are free to propose a variation on them, or another verse entirely. However, I won’t be doing all the work in order to get our characters to meet, interact and like/dislike each other—that’s unfair, and too much work on one mun.

If you’re having trouble, start with— “I really think it’s cool if X and Y character—“ etc. Or how you think our characters would work together.

      What if I accidentally break a rule of yours?

If you’re a mutual, I will take a screenshot of the rule and kindly remind you to abide by them. If you’re a stranger, I will automatically soft block or block, depending on how badly the rule was broken and how uncomfortable I feel. 

I don’t make these rules to be mean, but to save the time and energy of us all. So if these rules are disregarded, then we will have to cut our losses. I will unfollow when I feel like someone has not read my rule page, and not be inclined to interact.

If you’re unsure if you have broken a rule, please politely ask. I don’t bite really.
