Even if I didn't have any problems myself I would STILL be masking because it's a small gesture that can make a #big difference in people around me being comfortable. It's not like people with health issues just never have to go out or go to the stor #or whatever. There are still people out there who could be helped by extra precautions that are being overlooked. grrrrr... #Like at this point since I'm vaccinated and everything I would MAYBE consider flying on an airplane IF everyone else around me #was masking and being just as careful as me. But at this point it's just the wild west and I would literally be the only one who gives #a shit or who gets tested freqeuntly before after and during traveling and wears the proper type of mask well fitting and not half off my f #ce and blah blah blah. And precautions work best when EVEYRONE is participating. There's only so much you can protext yourself if everyone #around you is doing nothing. So.. alas.. I still do not feel safe traveling. And probably won't for years until more progress is made in #terms of like understanding and treating certain long covid issues and etc. Since I think it's inevitable that if I start going out again #I would get covid. Me and my household bubble are some of the only people I know who haven't had it yet (or at least not knowingly so - if #so it was one of the asymptomatic cases etc.). So if I was GOING to get it anyway I'd at least like the assurance that whatever long term #issues I inevtabley suffer because of it will be more easily treatable at that point instead of entirely disabling even further than I'm #already disabled. etc. AAANYWAY!! all that to say. I JSUT REALLY WANT TO be on an airplane!!! I dont even like traveling and going places I #hate vacations and would rather be at home working on my projects I'm fixated on lol HOWEVER I love the view from airplane windows #like the very few times in my life Ive actually been on a plane and the window is so COLD when you lay your forehead on it and sometimes yo #even see little ice crystals and it's like you're just in a landscape of clouds with a sea of clouds above and below and aaaAAAAAA #Literally I want to get on a plane just to go up in the air and then land and fly back. I don't even want to go on a real trip. I just NEED #to see the sky I need to be IN the sky I need to have that VIEW and the cold and everything!!!! gRGGHGgg... And I will do that the entire #time. I think my longest plane ride was 7 hours and I do not watch movies. I dont text or play games. I literally do nothing to entertain #myself except stare straight out the window for 7 hours (with a few eating and bathroom breaks). not even joking lmao. It's like a trance #I LOVE the sky and clouds so much and the view you get from an airplane is like incomparable!! also I love airports with the big windows an #people watching. but mostly I just long for the sky view again. Tangle has such good Cool Big Sis energy with Tails . . . like in a lot of ways she has similar drive and energy to Sonic (albeit maybe a little less responsible in some areas since she's new to adventuring and mostly just grew up living a normal life in a normal town), and so in that way it's easy to see how she and Tails could become really fast friends if they were ever given more time to work with each other. But even apart from that, we've already seen how she would look after him, too, because even if she lived in a normal life in a normal town and was never responsible for looking out for anyone else (she and Jewel are the same age I'm pretty sure), she still would if given the opportunity and we actually have that with Tails in canon.

Like I don't blame the characters for the bad writing in Forces because obviously they have no agency over how they were written, and Tails in particular was just butchered in that game, but . . . well, given that we see Tangle working with Tails and checking in on his emotional state right after the Metal Virus ended and Sonic went MIA, I feel pretty confident in saying that she wouldn't have just let him fuck off into the wilderness if he ever "lost it" during an apocalypse scenario. Like again, the fact that Amy and Knuckles did during Forces is just another example of bad writing in that game, but Amy isn't that much older than Tails and Knuckles is used to being a loner, so I could kind of give it a pass. But Tangle really stepped up here and checked in on Tails and didn't let him just brush her off, and she's just such a Cool Big Sis who, yes, will absolutely help him test fire new rocket launchers with no safety gear and 100% agrees that cookies are an acceptable breakfast, but also genuinely cares about his emotional well-being and will look out for that, too.

Also, they're cool tail buddies. What's not to love?

I'm catching up on episodes and I can't even be mad at Trina during the bar fight ep...yes some of the things she said are an overaction but I think she's just tired. Now I disagree with her going so hard for Joss in damn near every scene and we don't ever see Joss even talk about Trina outside of scenes they have together? I also don't think Spencer's been selfish or entitled whoever said she was just projecting was right. However, him lying about the evidence? When he literally could've just told her "Hey I hear you but I disagree, I say we keep it until we find the real evidence." Obviously, she'd be a little upset but I think Trina can be understanding.

Also, Portia trying to push Spencer and Esme together knowing that would hurt her daughter? Why??? I'm all for making Portia the villain for drama but do they believe she could come back from this? Or be redeemable in some way?

I'm watching clips because I can't with the full episodes right now but the whole Esme walking in on Spencer and him opening up to her...why? and a few people in the comments on Youtube are talking about how it has nothing to do with Trina being a Black woman and mentioning how TJ and Molly don't get anything either; like I said I haven't been watching full episodes for long so forgive my ignorance, but Trina and Spencer just had a major arc?? and afterward it's nothing? Media has a long history of making Black women suffer through being an 'at the moment' girlfriend and then fading to the background when the white woman they were meant to be with finally comes around. And I don't think they're comparable (again correct me if I'm wrong) because TJ and Molly are in love and in love proudly? We get moments of them kissing and hugging and having deeper discussions. With Trina and Spencer, we're holding our breaths hoping that they get a moment alone, or a kiss, or even a hug. All we get are lingering stares and small gestures, and I'm all for slow burns but it's giving period piece with how sloooow. They haven't even said I love you (directly) to each other. It's so frustrating when this couple has garnered new viewership for the show for them to be treated like this.

Someone also mentioned in the Youtube comments, "It's a soap there's gonna be drama."...I feel like people are being purposefully obtuse. Of course, there's going to be drama; but how come Joss and Dex have drama that, yes, has affected them but not torn them apart? it feels like where Sprina is right now they're not growing together at all? Which is crazy because they just went through this hugely traumatic experience together. As soon as they got off the Haunted Star Portia said "This just brought them closer." and it did for that episode and Curtis' birthday episode (which we got all of 20 seconds of them being 'close') since then? Crickets. They almost watched each other die, multiple times and besides the talk on the plane, they haven't really spoken about it? They're so young you'd think that they would've had an emotional conversation about it and how scary it was?

so many people have talked about this but I hate how google gives websites with clearly ai generated results made just to get as many clicks as possible. like look up anything and within the top of the search results you’ll get some website that’s one of those things. and yeah sometimes the info is still correct, but a lot of the times it’s not and the computer is just making shit up. i shouldn’t have to put Reddit or Quora on the end of things just to find something written by actual people.

I've been watching this develop for the past several days, and apart from being terrified most people will not take this seriously (I've seen a handful of people already shout conspiracy on social media and it's alarming to see, as always). What I wanted to point out is that pandemics are going to continue to be our 'normal.' I watched a great video on YouTube a while ago (I believe it was by Vice?) that touched base on how this is going to become our new reality because of multiple factors (such as our proximity to animals, and environments/etc). It was when Covid hit and they did a piece debunking some of the misinformation floating on the internet. If I can find it I will post it here because it was informative and relevant to pretty much any world crisis we will see around any virus that spreads among a human population.

This post isn't trying to fear monger anyone, I just hope more people are aware of what is happening because this is important to talk about. There are already cases (of cows getting this bird flu) in the US, and I won't be surprised if there will be instances in more countries around the world. As usual, keep washing your hands/keeping good hygiene practices, masking up (and if you aren't I hope you consider it), and taking precautions if you do happen to visit/work or go near a pig or poultry farm too:

I'll keep track of this here of course, but please stay informed folks. And also FU to any governments who will try to minimize this or try to diminish the severity until it's too late and community spread happens like Covid because their actions are influenced by capitalistic interests.
