This is the same person who allegedly leaked Nintendo's entire 2022 lineup, and predicted a Fire Emblem Echoes in the first half of the year. I'm still not inclined to treat their word as definitive until we hear anything official, but have some silly prediction opinions nonetheless:
FE remake duologies, ranked in order from best to awful:
1. Jugdral (FE4 + FE5) - It's about time these two got the love they deserve. I don't care that they're as mechanically distinct as any two FEs could ever be, just make them completely separate experiences and it'll still work. Graphical and musical updates, the usual quality of life updates, full voice acting, a time rewind especially for FE5, and leave the existing story and characters (including all the incest) intact while expanding in places that need it most. Also have this include more Quan/Finn subtext and Diarmuid and Tristan being gay, possibly for each other. IS did so well with Dimidue in FE16 - give me more gay knights!
2. Elibe (FE6 + FE7) - Would be pretty straightforward to remake unless they attempted some weird eugenics baby data transfer between games. I'd be nowhere near as hyped as I would be for Jugdral remakes, but officially localized Binding Blade would be nice and the usual modern updates would be welcome too. Just...don't make Mark into a full Robin/Byleth-esque Avatar, please. (Given how disproportionately popular Lyn is, that's definitely happening.)
3. Tellius (FE9 + FE10) - Controversial opinion maybe, but I don't think either of these games needs a full remake, especially not one that's supposedly more ambitious than FE15. Basic Switch ports with added menus for extra features à la FE1 would be all they really need, with a better system of data transfer being about the only other thing I could think to add.
4. Archanea (FE1/11 + FE3/12) - The Japanese fandom might appreciate this option, but surely even they must be getting tired of remakes of Marth's games. We'd finally get an officially localized version of the War of Heroes, but you know that IS would pull more from New Mystery and would undoubtedly include Kris...who might even get retroactively elevated to full Avatar status, capacity to sleep with the entire cast included. IS will give Kris the opportunity to break up the original lord couple and S rank Marth or Caeda, and the internet will rage for years over whether this is sacrilege or giving fans what they want. Can we not?
Prediction for the "trying new things" original title:
Avatar, possibly silent - can S rank everyone although possibly not always romantically, has a small array of same-sex S ranks that satisfy absolutely no one
An obviously fetishistic hook for the Avatar romances: Fates went all in on (pseudo-)incest, Three Houses did teacher/student, and furries are probably out after Tellius, so let's say...feet? None of the characters wear shoes, and one of the features of the obligatory free roam base area will be a place where you can give them pedicures. Dialogue assures us that this is not sexual in any way.
Multiple routes and another sloppy attempt at moral greyness that fans argue about approximately until the next original FE comes out; it will be very apparent that character archetypes and whole story beats have been copied from one of the older games....Sacred Stones, maybe? That one hasn't been mined dry yet.
Characters are again arranged so as to make for easy Heroes banners, and dominate the mobile game's roster for a good 2-3 years (even though IS weakly attempts to push tie-in banners for the remake as well)

Blog Update 11/24/21 + Drama CD Request
Happy Thanksgiving, and happy Wednesday to those who do not partake in the turkey eating festivities! (Nevermind that we’ve started the tradition of eating duck instead in my house, due to the hubby not liking turkey, and duck being a reasonable size for 2 people to eat.)
I’m here with a report, then a request for anyone who might be able to help, please and thank you in advance! Skip down to the second section under the line if you’d like to see the request and see if is anything you can help with.
Novel Translations
For the novel translations, I don’t have too much new news for anyone who has been catching my recent updates. FE8 has been done for a bit, and I am now working on the FE4 short stories. Garmmy gave me full permission to put all of their short story translations into one document with mine, and create a final Google Doc that is just like the others I’ve done for the novels. So I am working on compiling the stories into the document for book 1, and translating the stories that garmmy did not translate in book 2. The short stories will post in the first half of 2022, and I should easily stay on schedule to finish in May 2022, so I can begin the massive task of translating the FE7 novelization in the second half of 2022!
FE16 Drama CD
And in other big news, I have FINALLY started posting the FE16 drama CD! It is currently scheduled at 1 part per month, which... is not an ideal pace at all, but I have to be realistic. It takes many listens to get all the dialogue accurate, and I like to be thorough and explain the sfx, etc., so I have to be realistic with the amount of work a project like this takes.
I predict that I will finish this project much quicker than in 6 months, but until I am done with all of the parts, I am playing my schedule super safe.
FE4 Manga Translation
This project has been absolute proof that the best things in life take time!
I am finishing up and proofreading the final chapter of volume 14 now. My pace is still ahead of the cleaning and typesetting members of the team, so I feel confident about how this project is going. Slow and steady will win the race.
Other
I have a bunch of unanswered asks and a response essay to catch up on here on tumblr, and I am still determined to meet my personal goal of responding to everyone, even if it takes time! Thank you for waiting! I might not get to anything this week due to Thanksgiving, but after that I’ll see what I can do throughout December!
------------------
But the real reason why I am here today, is to request some support for the drama CD script! I may be a jack-of-all-trades doing 99% of my translation work myself, but I’ve finally found one skill that I need to outsource... identifying FE music by name! I’m just not one to learn the songs by their titles very often.
I would like to record in my drama CD translation, what music tracks are used in the background.
Anyone interested in helping out, contact me however you’d like. From there, I’ll send the links to the Drama CD files I burned. On your own time, listen to the tracks, and message back the titles of the songs that play throughout. Include a note of the track number and start time for each song too, please.
This is something I honestly wanted for the FE7 and FE10 drama CDs as well, I just let them come and go without ever asking for the assistance... but this time, I’d like to take that extra step!
Thank you much in advance!

Fruity Munday Meme on Tuesday | Accepting
🍊 - What are your favourite genres of threads? Fluff? Angst? Etc
FLUFF. Definitely fluff. While I love a good hard dose of angst, I can only handle so much before I need some serious fluff to balance it out. I don’t have that problem the other way around, although my dentist advises less sickeningly sweet threads because they’re causing a serious cavity problem.
But yes. Family fluff, romantic fluff, friendship, comfort threads... I am always down for them. You don’t even have to ask. I am HERE for those.
I do also like some serious character development from time to time, but... I’m a chronically depressed autist. If I can get some good positive vibes going by living vicariously through my babies muses, I damn well will.
🍌 - What drew you into the fandom in the first place?
I’ve gone into detail on that here, but I realise I mostly rambled about getting into the community rather than the fandom.
Basically: FE7. I picked the game up on a whim and I fell in love with its charming characters. I have gone on record saying Eliwood was my first crush. The graphics and music were really good for GBA standards too, and I’d never played SRPGs before so the gameplay was novel for me as well. All in all I just really enjoyed the game, even if I wasn’t great at it.
I later spotted FE8, picked it up because I had enjoyed the other Fire Emblem game so much, and the same thing happened. I do realise that the stories in the series follow a pretty obvious formula, but the characters, maps, and production values are always so good that I keep coming back to the series regardless. While I had to skip FE9 because no Gamecube, am not the biggest fan of FE10 because lolwhatischaracterdepth, and acknowledge the flaws FE11 has as a straight port, I get legitimate joy out of playing the GBA, DS, and 3DS era games no matter how often I replay them. I’ve also gone out of my way to play and beat FE6 and FE12 using translation patches. I will go on record calling FE the obsession that defines my autism.
I used the spriting resource on a now-defunct forum and ended up registering on its roleplaying boards... and the rest is history.

Fire Emblem Hell
Tumblr media
I have returned to an old love of mine. Nostalgia and Youtube (mainly due to Three Houses) has caused me to return to my old favorite game, Fire Emblem. Haven’t played FE14 or FE15, don’t intend on the former, will probably do the latter at some point. FE13 was the most diverse and I loved the pairings. FE11 was meh. FE10 was quite good, but had too much going on. I wanted to see more of Michaiah. FE9 was my first Fire Emblem, and it was a good game, if a bit stilted. FE8 was probably the most fun I had with and probably poured the most hours into. FE6 is just janky and I really want a remake that can do this justice. FE7, though, that one left the most impact on me. Favorite characters, music, and story. This is my bae.
....if I develop a Blazing Blade muse, someone smack me. Current Front Runners are Lyn and Serra.
Did I mention I used to have a Mia muse from FE9/10? She’s long gone though.
Help me. @_@

14. Favorite game music?
i answered this before with Doom and Yoko Taro games but i’ll add FE10
youtube
21. Game that you didn’t like or understand as a kid but love now?
hmm i played some crazy stuff as a kid, it’s usually the reverse where i go back to games i loved and they aint aged well. i could say maybe stuff like Resident Evil or any of those games with tank controls. i played mostly PC as a kid so i was used to really intuitive like Half-Life engine controls especially for shooters so whenever i played those kinds of games i was like ick.

re: lua, just to try to cut down on the absurd thread length.
I’m no musicologist, but when I compare ‘Beautiful Princess Elincia’ and ‘Sorrowful Prince Pelleas’, quite apart from the similar names, I feel like there are some similarities? If you compare sheet music (googling gives me this and this, though they both seem to be fan transcriptions), I notice that they’re both very quick flurries of quavers in the upper octave. It gives them both a light and airy feel.
That said if you want to call me out, I’ll accept the correction and note that perhaps I am just influenced by the similar names.
On Micaiah’s loyalty to Pelleas/Daein:
I would argue Micaiah’s loyalty to Pelleas as an evolution of some of the tensions in PoR. You can interpret PoR as a conflict between the perspective that sees legitimate authority as based on blood or hereditary succession and the perspective that sees legitimate authority as based on strength or merit. It’s just that the game does not neatly put all adherents of each perspective on the same side. The laguz kings are all on the strength side, but so is Ashnard. Meanwhile Elincia and Sanaki both initially appear quite weak, and their claim to authority is based on blood or divine right. The irony at the centre of the plot is that even though Ike is temperamentally on the strength/merit side of the debate, he spends the entire game fighting for the blood/divine-right side, against the meritocratic Ashnard. (Plus, you know, Ike only gets to be in charge of the Greil Mercenaries because of blood.) Ike is unable to fully commit himself to the hereditary or aristocratic approach, and so leaves Elincia’s service at the end of PoR. Ike will fight for Elincia for the sake of Crimea, but he won’t become a lord or really affirm this system of nobility.
Micaiah is an interesting contrast to that. FE10 introduces Micaiah as basically a Daein Ike, but where Ike left the service of his princess after restoring her to power in order to maintain his freedom, Micaiah enters the service of her prince after putting him in power, with the result that she is bound to certain tasks she would rather not do.
Why does Micaiah do this? Well, the story-external answer is fairly clear – you can’t investigate these issues of loyalty and authority if you don’t have an authority ordering someone to do something they don’t want to – but for story-internal, I think you have to presume some identification of Daein and Pelleas. Micaiah believes, correctly, that Pelleas has Daein’s best interests at heart, and presumably also that Pelleas is intelligent and brave enough that he’s genuinely seeking those interests and not just being manipulated. Micaiah has made the decision that Daein’s interests are best-served by obeying Pelleas, and this in turn implies a character judgement made of Pelleas.
As you say, when push comes to shove she probably ranks the people above the monarch, yes. Micaiah’s loyalty is not like Bryce’s, which prizes the continuity of the king’s bloodline above the nation and even to an extent above the king himself.
But I think this actually fits fairly well into the theme of loyalty or service? Micaiah’s still quite young: I’m not sure she’s worked out in her own mind where her ultimate loyalty lies, whether to people in general, the people of Daein, the idea of Daein as a country, or to Pelleas as a person. All those factors are in the mix somewhere, and it’s interesting to see how Micaiah prioritises those factors when she’s put under extreme pressure.
Finally, re: Australia:
I think the core thing about military history is that we have an underdog narrative, but unlike the usual American underdog narrative (but perhaps similarly to the Southern narrative?), we don’t expect the underdog to win. Our defining bit of military mythology is the Gallipoli campaign in the First World War, which turned out to be a costly failure. Thus our national pride could not be taken in winning, as such. Rather, our pride was in doing our part. We stepped up and did our duty to the empire, even though it meant taking extreme losses. Peter Weir’s Gallipoli is a good example of the mentality. Thus the virtues we tend to exalt are endurance, courage under fire, camaraderie and dedication to one’s fellows (mateship’; look up Simpson and his donkey if you’re curious), and willingness to sacrifice one’s own life. There’s a distinct martyr element to Australian war mythology, as if the nation came of age through the willingness of its young people to bleed and die at Britain’s call.
And to a greater or lesser extent that idea has followed us into every subsequent war: WWII (Tobruk, Kokoda), Vietnam, and most recently Afghanistan. Our allies call, we go and fight for them, we die, but we did our job. Indeed, we frequently did our job better than our allies. (That’s a common element to the mythology at well: foreign commanders praising how tall and strong and disciplined and courageous the Australians are. The overall battles might have been lost, but the Australian soldiers were better. We were fitter and braver than the British on the Western front, we were more professional than the Americans in Vietnam, and so on. There are various historical reasons for that: basically WWI Australian volunteers, raised in the country, did look different to poor urban conscripts from Britain.)
I find the comparison to America fascinating, because the American war mythology is similar in some ways… except Americans expect to win. The American story is supposed to end in victory: hence Americans being so awkward and ashamed about Vietnam. But the South is even more interesting, because the South’s dominant experience of war is losing. It’s just complicated again because it’s generally accepted that the South’s cause was evil, whereas we don’t believe that about our wars.

My longest track that’s not a loop is the KH arrange of L'Apprenti Sorcier from DDD and it’s almost 11 minutes, and the second longest is the the final boss themes as a single track from Kid Icarus Uprising which is 10 minutes and 30 seconds…. The next longest that isn’t from one of these things is from Metroid Prime which is technically half the length since it repeats once before fading, then… Credits from FE10 that don’t loop dfhfghfj

Hm, if you could, how would you rank the final maps across the series?
I can’t really rank them, but I can give my opinions on most of them. I don’t know how much value it’ll have though since I freely admit to not playing on the higher difficulties where gameplay conversations are seen as having genuine merit. Anyway:
FE1/11 and 3/12 - only reached the end of the DS remakes, and as is the case with most of Archanea I don’t remember them very well except that Medeus is a pain in both. Shadow Dragon’s last map is also incredibly long as I recall...assuming you don’t just warpskip to the boss of course.
FE2/15 - never got to the end of Gaiden, but Echoes’s last map is an interesting mix of entertaining and frustrating. The layout is certainly distinctive, as is the novelty of using Alm and Celica’s armies together for the first time. Jedah’s gimmick is a nuisance though and I don’t care for Duma and his AoE attack and invulnerability to most attacks.
FE4 - the longest map in a game infamous for long maps, but unlike Chapters 2 and 7 Endgame offers a decent challenge to help cover up the tedious distances and backtracking. There’s also a good increasing scale of difficulty from one castle to the next, with the only real letdown being Manfroy whom is technically optional although I’ve never skipped him. Hate fighting Ishtar and the falcon knight sisters and most of the Deadlords, and it does suck a bit that the sudden rush of enemies with skills and holy weapons makes a fair number of your units dangerous to field on the front lines.
FE5 - also don’t remember it too well. The map itself is a nightmare like most of Thracia’s maps tend to be, but Veld is a joke in more ways than one. Also more Deadlords...whee.
FE6 - all of the GBA games follow a pattern of a two-part final map with the first being a gauntlet ending in a major story villain and the second being your army rushing the final boss. Binding Blade’s is the worst in both regards. First you’re trudging your units from altar to altar fighting dragons and getting an awkward backstory dump after each one, then you finally kill Jahn at the end, and then you get to Idunn who’s a joke and isn’t even that hard to kill with Roy for the secret best ending. Three Houses gets flak for clumsy lore dumps in its lategame, but I think I honestly prefer them to what we get here. At least Rhea manages to be sympathetic.
FE7 - the best of this trilogy, mostly on account of it kicking off with a boss rush of Blazing Sword’s greatest hits reincarnated as OP morphs. Nergal is pretty standard, but the second part deserves comedy points for pitting you against a generic and calling it a final boss.
FE8 - the monsters of Sacred Stones aren’t the most engaging of enemies, especially if you play the postgame Creature Campaign at all since there it’s nothing but monsters. This drags down the last map in my opinion, since it’s just a monster map with some mildly creative architecture and Lyon waiting for you at the end. Fomortiis is nothing special either apart from the originality of his not being a dragon.
FE9 - may be my favorite final map aesthetically, in large part due to the ironic contrast between the still tidy and peaceful Crimean palace gardens and the massive Daien army awaiting you. Similarly it may be the most mundane final map in the series with nothing much supernatural going on unless you’re playing on Hard (or Japanese Maniac) mode where Ashnard goes berserk and you have to kill him twice. I never do though, and Ashnard moving with his colossal range in higher difficulties means you don’t get to experience a good half or so of the map. I’d rather not deal with that, especially since he’s got the same nigh-invulnerability issue as Duma going on.
FE10 - depends on if we’re talking only 4-E-5 or the entirety of the Goddess Tower. The true last map is kind of bland and is more about having a good setup and positioning than dynamic tactics, because Ashera and her auras and AoEs are nothing if not predictable. The maps ascending the tower on the other hand offer a nice mixture of quick challenges that let this game’s massive cast come together for the first time (so like Gaiden/Echoes only with a roster over twice the size) and show off what they can do at their best...on Easy anyway. In Normal and Hard it’s Ike and the laguz royals and maybe about a dozen other viable units all the way up.
FE13 and 14 - I barely remember any of these to be quite honest. Awakening’s is as mediocre as every other map in that game and ends with the horrible non-choice for Robin that underscores how FE13 is terrified to have any genuine stakes. Fates’s three final maps each approximate the general tone of their respective routes: Birthright’s is the most series-typical, Conquest’s is the most creative, and Revelation’s is the most gimmicky and tedious.
FE16 - probably what most people reading this came for, so I’ll go ahead and break it down further by route.
SS - horrible by every parameter but the music, which is nothing special since all three final map tracks are excellent. There’s no setup worth mentioning to explain why Rhea is suddenly attacking you, and you’re stuck fighting enemies on all sides including a ton of flying monsters that hit extremely hard and also have to be taken out to do any serious damage to the Immaculate One. The map architecture is more of a hindrance than a help, and Rhea’s long-range attacks are if I recall the most deadly of any of the final bosses. The NG Maddening LTC crowd can have this one.
AM - feels more dangerous than it is, until you realize that you can skip large chunks of the map including Myson trolling you with his HP-to-1 spell on the right. Funneling your units through the smaller chambers on the left skips the worst of it and lets you right off into the throne room, where the Hegemon is overall less threatening than the horde of magic users surrounding her. I dislike the non-final version of this map in VW/SS more, if only because you have to move faster there if you want to stop Dedue from committing suicide by gremory/mortal savant.
VW - deserves a nod as the only wholly unique final map in Three Houses, even if conceptually it’s just Deadlords in a swamp (that you can get rid of, a nice touch). Nemesis is without question the weakest final boss as the only one without multiple health bars, and it’s not like you wouldn’t have taken out all of the zombie Elites on the way to him anyway. At least he puts up a pretty good fight when he’s by himself, although it’s still not hard to swarm him.
CF - comparable to AM’s in that you can skip large chunks of the map to make it easier, in this case by concentrating all your forces right up the middle to kill the Immaculate One before the enemies on the side can get to you. The faster you do it the fewer enemies you have to fight and the less fire you have to wade through, which is all a plus in my book. It helps that the Immaculate One here is weaker than she is in SS, and instead of being surrounded by monsters and constructs the other enemies in her immediate vicinity are ones like Cyril and Catherine who are still a pain to deal with but nowhere near as durable.
So for FE16 specifically I’d probably go AM > VW > CF > SS.

Fire Emblem 10 Drama CD Translation - Intro, Scenes I & II
FE Game Script Translations - FE Novel Translations - Original FE Support Conversations - Ko-fi
Scenes III & IV - Scenes V & VI
Alright, I’ve finally finished the FE7 Drama CD translation! But there’s one more challenge yet... the FE10 Drama CD! This CD features Ike, Soren, Titania, Micaiah, Sothe, and the Black Knight. It’s based on Part 3 Chapter 7 of Radiant Dawn.
———————————
Introduction
*Opens with sounds of combat: grunts, yells, weapons clashing, etc., w/ focus on Ike’s voice.*
Ike: You are... the Priestess of Dawn.
Micaiah: And you are General Ike, yes? Sothe told me about you.
Ike: You are important to him, so I do not want to fight.
Micaiah: And you took care of him, so I feel the same way. However…
Ike: Daein has no intention of withdrawing.
Micaiah: No.
Ike: Then… *unsheathes sword* We have no choice but to fight.
*sounds of combat gradually become louder once more, then fade into music*
Ike’s voice: Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn Drama CD:
Ike & Micaiah’s voices: Clash of Heroic Ideals!
(T/N: a more literal translation of the title: “The Unshakeable Ideals of the Rival Leaders)
Scene I
*sounds of general army camp activity: people talking, weapons clashing in sparring matches, etc.*
Soren: The Laguz troops have very high morale.
Ike: Yes. They believe in Ranulf’s words.
Soren: I think he’s changed a bit from before, too.
Ike: *laughs* Oh, Skrimir? Do you still hate him?
Soren: Of course I do. He’s the type that I’m worst with. He thinks that battle is won by strength alone.
Ike: Don’t say that! He’s a royal of Gallia. And the lions thought to make him the general of their army, right?
Soren: *chuckles* You talk as if you’ve become his father.
Ike: Ah…? Hey, of course I haven’t! But you are one to laugh at something like that.
Soren: Ike, you’re becoming more and more fitting to the role of commander of the Greil Mercenaries.
Ike: So even you’ve said that now. The people we’ve reunited with from three years ago have been telling me the same thing. Jeez… Every last one of them...
Soren: I’m just fondly watching over you as you grow.
Ike: Hey! Now you’re the one acting like you’ve become a father!
Soren: I don’t know if you could understand what that means...
Ike: Hm? *turns closer towards Soren* What did you just say?
Soren: Nothing. But there’s one more reason why a frontal attack is dangerous. As I mentioned earlier, I’m concerned about Daein’s movements.
Ike: Of course. However you look at it, our army is more powerful. Is the empire forcing them to fight, like you said?
Titania: *walks up* Hey you two, we’re going to prepare our strategy.
Ike: Titania! Okay, got it.
Soren: Oh, that? I have a suggestion based on our current situation. Ike, please tell me your thoughts about it.
Ike: Hm?
Scene II
*sounds of general army camp activity: people talking, weapons clashing in sparring matches, etc.*
Micaiah: *sigh*
Sothe: What are you thinking about, Micaiah? Will you tell me?
Micaiah: Sothe?
Sothe: Are you wondering why Prince Pelleas is doing something like this? Or maybe about why he’s cooperating with the empire?
Micaiah: *giggles* Shall I try to guess what your thoughts are about this?
Sothe: W-What?
Micaiah: You don’t really want to fight Ike, the commander of the Greil Mercenaries, do you? You respect him so much!
Sothe: *gasps*
Micaiah: Well?
Sothe: You’re half right, half wrong. I don’t want to fight him, but if you’ve decided to, then it’s another story. I won’t waver. I’d make anyone my enemy.
Micaiah: You’re pushing yourself, aren’t you?
Sothe: I’m not! Surely Commander Ike should understand, too. Like I said, he’s a hero who can face any enemy and fight them at full strength. So if I must risk my life and fight for you, then he wouldn’t be against that.
Micaiah: *giggles* Even in those words… I can hear your respect and affection for him.
Sothe: ...Ah!
Micaiah: *giggles* Sorry. I’m joking around. Sothe… you’ve gotten much stronger.
Sothe: Of course! Even if you leave out the fact that I fought in the previous war, three years have passed. I’m not a child.
Micaiah: Mmm.... I’m really happy. With how you’ve grown...
Sothe: Micaiah…
*running footsteps start quiet, then get louder*
Soldier #1: *panting* The enemy front line! It’s here!
Sothe: *gasps*
Micaiah: Understood. Shall we go, too?
Sothe: Yes.
*army cheers for Micaiah*
Soldier #2: If anyone can do it, it’s the Priestess of Dawn!
Soldier #3: Victory will be ours!
Soldier #4: We’ll follow her forever!
Soldier #5: The Priestess of Dawn!

I dunno if it was a rhetorical thing or not but uh. I am asking you about Fire Emblem: Fates. To be more specific, what did you think was good versus what did you think SUCKED?
IT WAS KIND OF RHETORICAL BUT fe14′s ui, music, and conquest’s map design (chapter 10 is love chapter 10 is life) is all solid gold; the only thing i could ever ask for is fe10′s skill system (which let you take skills off one unit and distribute them to others and made no story sense but i care noT)
storywise though.
i found azura and her inability to share the plot obnoxious
corrin is psychologically weak, naive, and a dumbass but they lead an army and everyone is constantly on their dick
the fact that the game pushes you toward birthright even though it makes more sense for corrin to side with the family they grew up with is weird
conquest’s plot–which was presented as ‘fight nohr from the inside’–was nothing but corrin sobbing while slaughtering hoshidans for an inadequately explored reason
every canonical death outside of the royal sibs was boring but corrin bawled their eyes out anyway (LILITH? NO ONE CARES ABOUT LILITH)
no one in conq ever wonders why corrin is a dragon
i hate that everyone can once again suck each other’s heterosexual dick and i miss fire emblem’s older supports between potential lovers, family, mentors, friends
what the hell is skinship
one of my friends actually thought that fire emblem has always been waifu simulator starts crying?
the children and babyrealms are an absolute goddamn mess
birthright is such a joke that it can easily be ironmanned on lunatic
you have to buy revelation to get the “true story” for an additional $20 and it is apparently so awful that my fire emblem friends have prevented me from taking the plunge multiple times
basically fire emblem fart yells at cloud

aptitude, veteran, paragon, quick burn
Aptitude – Was FE easy for you when you started or was it difficult?
Well i guess i was pretty messy in the beginning but eventually i learned alot from resetting because of permadeath and fe8 wasnt too challenging so i consider myself solid at the series now
Veteran – Which FE games have you played and what was your favorite?
fe7, fe8, watched fe9, only played first part of fe10 and first few chapters of fe6 before i lost all my emulator data, played first half of fe11, and played all of fe13 and fe14. My favs are the gba games bc they have really solid gameplay, sprites, and music along with a great cast
Paragon – Was there a unit that you put extra effort into/ favored over others?
I generally like to keep my party around the same level but I like using the trainees from fe8 (Ross and Amelia) so i guess they require more effort and i always love to use an archer despite them not being good in most games so i try to make sure they're cool too like Rebecca
Quick Burn – Do you try to get through the game quickly or do you take your time?
I definitely take my time I take forever finishing any kind of game lmao
