Dating Wooyoung, some (Seonghwa) would say that it's a difficult feat. But it comes so simple to you. A smile spread through your face as he pressed a chaste kiss on your cheek as he passed from beside you.

That's what dating Woo is like, random hugs and kisses. Like Random.

He'd run up to you with a hug, a tight one and kiss your cheek, sometimes he stays for you to reciprocate, maybe plaster a kiss on his cheek or enough time to press your lips to his, sometimes he runs away before you could even react.

Lying down watching a movie on his lap as he plays with your hair and presses kisses at random moments. He'd have a shit eating grin when you'd suddenly move your head to look at him and he'd press a kiss to your lips, making a very irritated Jongho say “uh disgusting” and Hongjoong cringes, as the rest laugh.

“Baby Jongho wouldn't let me kiss him” He'd complain to you, “why don't you kiss Y/n instead?” Jingho retorted. You opened your arms inviting him as he ran to hug you and press a 10 hour kiss on your cheek.

Random kisses to your shoulder, hands, head when he hasn't seen you for a long (2 hours) time. You can expect mirror selfies, tons of them, hugging, kissing, cuddling, he might just have a huge mirror installed just for selfies. The pictures would be clicked but the kisses wont end. He's glad he found someone who adores and enjoys his kisses.

It would be the same during your intimate moments because he loves to kiss and bite every part of you and you'd have to wear a scarf to avoid teasing from the other members. He'd litter your neck with hickies.

Sometimes funny moments become more funny when he starts laughing, somehow you find it so endearing. Especially when he throws himself on you while laughing and you are almost out of breath for laughing so hard.

Him cooking for you on his off days and you helping him to avoid him wrecking the kitchen. Trying new recipes with him, sometimes creating your own cause he feels like it.

And that's how loving Wooyoung is, it comes easy to you.

VERSACE: NEW GLOBAL AMBASSADOR

ATEEZ Himari joins Stray Kids Hyunjin as the fashion house's representative.

Following the attendance of ATEEZ vocalist Himari at the La Vacanza fashion show, many expected an ambassadorship announcement to follow closely behind yet when the awaited post came only one idol had been put forth for the position. While some speculated that the young woman simply did not fit Versace's criteria, others claimed that due to the group's busy schedule KQ Entertainment had turned down any offers for external work.

On September 17th however all rumors were silenced by a singular post released on the brand's account, which contained a picture of Himari wearing an outfit similar to the one Hyunjin wore in his own announcement with the caption: 'The house of Versace is proud to announce that K-Pop's Princess, Min Himari, will be joining our Prince as global ambassador.' Merely minutes after the statement's upload countless comments began flooding in, for the most part conveying how excited they were that the idol was finally making an official entrance in the high fashion world.

This was not entirely unexpected as during the few months following the fashion show she had been seen almost perpetually wearing at least one Versace piece. It is quite possible that KQ Entertainment wished to wait until the group's schedule cleared to let the artist pursue external offers, hence teasing the collaboration.

'When we met in person for the first time there was something about her very being that immediately had me mesmerized, which is quite the feat because when working in an industry like this you see so much beauty that it almost desensitizes you. To me she truly did look like a princess not only in her visuals but the way she spoke, the way she moved, her posture and immediately I thought to myself 'that's her, if Versace had a human form it would be her'. Throughout the show she tended to stay near Hyunjin and when I saw them together I realized why people call them K-Pop royalty, so much so that I couldn't imagine our house being represented by simply one of them.' - Donatella Versace

Both South Korean artists are recognized for their artistic abilities so it came as no surprise when the fashion brand's creative director expressed her desire for their pieces to inspire a future collection. In the past Himari had shared several images of reformed clothing, a skill she learned from ATEEZ leader Hongjoong, which makes this idea becoming a reality all the more likely.

Himari's attendance at Milan Fashion Week will be her first official appearance as a Versace ambassador, with many more schedules to come. Meanwhile her visage has already begun appearing through displays in stores based in Korea.

The duo's stunning visuals as well as their creative minds is sure to bring the House of Versace to new heights and we eagerly await to see what will come out of the artistic synergy. With a few of their bandmates having been chosen as ambassadors (Hongjoong for Balmain and Felix for Louis Vuitton) we can also look forward to more members making their way into the fashion industry.

ATEEZ, K-POP’S RESIDENT PIRATES, AREN’T DROPPING ANCHOR ANY TIME SOON

At London’s O2 arena on Feb. 22, darkness engulfs a packed crowd of thousands, leaving just a constellation of illuminated light sticks patterned across the room. A flood of red lights then spotlight the eight members of ATEEZ, the first fourth-generation K-pop group to headline the iconic venue.

Dressed in cloaks that cover them head to toe, they walk from the main stage to a second one near the center of the room, striding with a measured intensity that says they know everyone is waiting for a big release. As the opening bars to their Earth-rattling song “New World” starts, one by one the members’ faces are lit up by neon tube lights, each to an eruption of ear-ringing screams by fans (fondly dubbed by the group as ATINY).

The concert then kicks into high gear with pyrotechnics and light shows as the group commands its dancers with puppeteer-level control until their cloaks are shed and they stand face-on, resolute in their power. It’s a feat of production, a thrilling assault on the senses that combines their typically booming musicality with a razor-sharp narrative vision that places them at the center of a fictional anarchist regime. This sensory overload is a far cry away from the first time they performed in the city in 2019, in a venue with about one-10th the capacity for fans.

A few days before the concert over a conference table, all eight members — ​​Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung, and Jongho — sharply dressed in dark and tan suits, break out in a chorus of “whoas” and “aaaahs” as I show them a badly taken video in my Instagram archive from the rafters of that first London show. It captures them occupying the small stage alone in matching white shirts, performing with the kind of synchronized ferocity that has earned them a record legion of fans in the short time since. There are no backing dancers, no 40-foot screens showing them in close-up and no fireworks, except the ones they create themselves. All there is is ATEEZ, introducing themselves to fans with the same sentiment they’d open their biggest European tour to date with four years later: “Hello, world.”

“I'm still nervous before I perform onstage,” says Hongjoong, the intuitive leader of ATEEZ who takes on the responsibility of steering most of our conversation. Reflecting on those initial smaller gigs, he says “we have grown up so much and we are now so comfortable when fans see us onstage, but I think there’s the same mindset from back then because we still want to show more things.” He says a constant desire to get bigger and better keeps them hungry. “At the shows, I always think that I want to be back here to see fans again, but if we want to do that work, we have to try harder. So it’s the same mindset.”

That first world tour came just five months after the group debuted in late 2018 with dual singles “Pirate King” and “Treasure,” proving that conquering the world was never just intended to be kept within the confines of their overarching pirate-themed concept. Despite a global pandemic halting the ability to travel and even perform in front of live audiences at home, ATEEZ have barely slowed down their expansion. Through songs like 2020’s “Inception,” 2021’s “Fireworks,” and last year’s explosive “Guerilla,” which their current world tour is inspired by, they’ve grown not only in tone but in popularity, pioneering a sound replete with as much passion as melodiousness and which has translated to millions of views on YouTube and spots on global music charts. It’s also tangibly materialized in their ability to fill arenas wherever they decide to tour and a secure place in the global conversation about K-pop’s global boom.

Since 2022, much of ATEEZ’s time has been spent on the road, first with The Fellowship: Beginning of the End and now The Fellowship: Break the Wall. Both names are a nod to their pirate roots and the idea of taking on the world together as a unit. They’ve done so much traveling, in fact, that when asked whether there was anything they’d like to see in London while they’re here, they joke they’ve already seen most of it from the number of times they’ve been. (For Wooyoung, a walk across Abbey Road’s iconic crosswalk, a Chelsea FC game, and a trip to the Harry Potter studio remain on his to-do list. “It’s the third time I’ve failed to do it so next time I’ll book tickets before I leave Korea,” Wooyoung sighs.)

Gaps in their intense touring schedules have also been filled with musical releases like EPs, standalone singles, music videos, and music show performances in South Korea. Such a packed diary could make it hard to stay motivated or think ahead creatively, but the members each have different ways to combat that burnout. “I search my name on social media,” says Seonghwa. “So many ATINYs give encouraging words, and that’s how I get my support.” Next to him, Wooyoung echoes, saying, “even if it’s hectic and we have one thing after another, we know that there are ATINYs who have been waiting even longer to see us.” He also adds that he enjoys when he’s recognized in the street on tour, as it reinforces the reality that he’s a famous singer who has a responsibility to keep pushing himself for fans.

“I get inspiration from games, animation, and things I’m doing online,” Yeosang says, pointing to fan art interpretations of himself and the group on social media. ”I see ATINYs’ drawings, and that gives me inspiration. If I see something I like, I try to make it happen onstage and make it look as good.”

“They’re so fast!” Hongjoong enthusiastically chimes in about their fans’ art, “and they make us look cooler, so we try to copy the outfits.” Yunho laughs next to him, calling ATINY the group’s new stylists.

Honjoong then dives into his own inspiration, as someone who composes much of the group’s music. “I always say to many people that my role model is David Bowie as he always tried so many creative things, so I try to get inspiration from everything. Like, even in our interview, if I get new praise or hear a good sentence, I write it down in my [phone] memos so that I can continually be creative.”

The constant desire to push forward and improve is palpable within ATEEZ, a group whose creative mental exertion is matched only by the sheer amount of physical labor they exercise on stage. Barely a moment during their set, which is packed with more than 20 songs spanning their almost five-year discography, is spent not doing some kind of energy-expending choreography. Here, the intersection of tiredness and adrenaline converges as the group tries to balance getting enough rest with the thrumming afterbuzz of performing to a room of thousands.

“It’s different for every member,” Yunho says about their post-concert wind-down. He says he likes to play games on his phone or scan the Internet, which is the same for Jongho, who called his cellphone his greatest essential when going out on tour. But they’ve recently, as a group, also developed a new way to mellow out that high. “After a show, we immediately get on the tour bus and ask it to just drive us around,” says Hongjoong. “We usually talk about our show, the mistakes we made, or sometimes we’ll joke and talk about the parts that were really good and that we should try again. We like to review the show.”

With their mind on performing while onstage and, seemingly, offstage too, you’d be forgiven for thinking the eight members have little time to dedicate to their own well-being. However, despite their constant churn of output, which includes new music coming at an unspecified time later this year, they’ve each focused on hobbies and goals coming into 2023.

Jongho immediately and enthusiastically says that he wants to take up golf more when he gets back to South Korea, while Yunho and Yeosang want to improve their gaming. San says he wants to start playing volleyball but needs to convince others to join him: “I’m alone,” he says as the room laughs, “so I need some friends.”

The group also just realized Wooyoung and Mingi have a knack for bowling after a group trip during a recent tour stop in Germany. “They were so good! We were so surprised,” says a bewildered Hongjoong.

As for Hongjoong, whom ATINY also call Captain, he wants to showcase more of his photography. “Last year, I did an exhibition of film photos, so I want to do that again this year,” he says, adding, “I try to take a picture everywhere [we go].”

Everywhere they go feels like a prophecy waiting to be fulfilled by ATEEZ. Their lore has always centered around the idea of travel, be it as pirates coursing the seas in their debut to dimension-hopping in a search for utopia in the connecting storylines of their music videos. In everything they create, there is always an eye for what they can lay claim to next.

After their show, as I’m led backstage to chat with them one final time, the group enthusiastically waves me off, saying “see you next time!” — which sounds more like a commitment than anything else. The post-pandemic era of ATEEZ’s journey has really just set sail.

Tears streamed down your face as you held your screaming daughter up, her relentless crying finally getting to you.

“What?! What the fuck is wrong?! You haven’t slept for two fucking days!”

Of course, your 10 month-old daughter couldn’t tell you what was wrong and many frantic google searches had told you this was nothing out of the ordinary for babies. You had tried the soothing baths, tried the warm milk, even tried the baby yoga you had found in the darkest corner of the internet yet nothing would shut this kid up. Even you had a breaking point, and your patience had finally run out.

Picking up the phone you dialed KQ Entertainment, standing up and bouncing your daughter on your hip in an attempt to calm her. This was well and truly your last resort, especially knowing your boyfriend has been working 24/7 doing dance practices and Vlives as all idols usually did. He’d even turned his phone off so he could fully concentrate on the upcoming virtual concert, meaning he had no clue about what you had been going through with your daughter.

”Hello again, I know last time you said i can’t talk to him but it really important! It’s our daughter and he- No I’m begging you please! He just needs to talk to her okay? please just 10 minutes, or five! Fuck even two I just need him right now-”

A sniffle interrupted your stream of words and you looked down at your daughter, her face contorting in an almost comic manner as she let out a scream that hurt your eardrums and the poor manager on the other end of the phone. Pure exhaustion overran you and you began sobbing into the phone, voice now pleading as you begged harder than before.

”PLEASE! I-I don’t know wh-hat‘s wrong w-with her! Please let me speak to Hwa!”

A few awkward mumbles and stumbled sentences later the manager finally caved in, going to the practice room and knocking on the door. With a grimace he walked in, holding the phone away from his ear as your daughter continued to scream.

”Umm Seonghwa? I got Y/N and a very angry Aera on the phone.”

As Jongho went to pause the music Seonghwa felt the stares of the rest of his members through the glass mirror, his gaze meeting Hongjoong who only smiled and nodded his head. Walking over he quickly snatched the phone from the manager, not acknowledging Aera’s screams as he turned on loudspeaker.

”H-“

”PARK SEONGHWA I SWEAR TO GOD ILL FUCKING KILL YOU!”

Seonghwa’s eyes widened as you bellowed down the phone, Aera’s cries quietening a little while the practice room went silent.

”Baby what-“

”DID YOU HAVE TO HAVE A BREEDING KINK?! WHATS THE BIG FUSS ABOUT WEARING A FUCKING CONDOM?! THIS CHILD IS DRIVING ME FUCKING INSANE AND ITS ALL BECAUSE YOUR ASS CANT PULL OUT QUICK ENOUGH!”

So much pent up frustration poured out of you as you took it all out on Seonghwa, your shoulders sagging in defeat. Seonghwa could now hear the tears in your voice as you talked again more quietly.

”Aera hasn’t slept for two days and neither have I. I-… I can’t do this Hwa, I need you here. Please…”

This was all it took to snap the stunned Seonghwa out of his daze, quickly pacing over to his bag and zipping it up.

“I’m coming baby, just hold tight for a bit. I’ll be home soon. okay?”

”O-Okay Hwa… sorry about all this…”

Seonghwa just chuckled at your timid voice, almost able to imagine your head hanging low with watery eyes; you always do that when you’re embarrassed.

“It’s fine angel, see you in 20.”

”Mhm.”

When Seonghwa hung up and noticed everyone staring at him, he felt a warmth rise across his face, cheeks turning a bright red at the members’ playful gazes. Wooyoung was the first to speak up, taking a swig of his water with a smirk.

”So.. breeding kink. Kinda expected that, not gonna lie.”

When Seonghwa finally walked through the door he was met by a red Aera playing with a toy and letting out half-hearted cries from her chair, which you had placed infront of the tv. Your attack soon ceased however when Seonghwa looked at you with a frown, now close enough to survey you properly. His fingers delicately touched the bags under your eyes, withdrawing them quickly when you let out a hiss. He guessed they were sore from exhaustion.

Cupping your cheek Seonghwa stroked it slightly, your face relaxing and nuzzling into his soft hand with a contented smile. Knowing you could fall asleep any second, Seonghwa poked your cheek, raising his hands as a sign of peace when you glared at him.

You let out a tired snort, turning on your side and pouting at Seonghwa with your eyes barely open.

Nodding you kissed Seonghwa’s cheek and stood up, running to the bathroom with newfound energy.

Seonghwa let out a laugh as he heard you slam the door yet again, turning to Aera and smiling brightly when he saw her looking at him. Quickly walking over he picked her up from the chair, wiping her tear-stained cheeks with his sleeve carefully.

Aera’s eyelids were already starting to droop as Seonghwa put her on his shoulder, and the man felt a warmth spread through his body. He had been so focused on training for the concert he hadn’t even acknowledged that he missed his family, his mind only filled with dance moves and different notes he had to hit. Now it was time to take care of his family, not his career.

You let your head fall into the water, submerging yourself for a while to wet your hair, however with all the water in your ears you didn’t hear Seonghwa’s quiet knocking.

”Angel? You ok?”

Prying the door open slightly Seonghwa’s eyes bulged when he saw you under the water, thinking you had fallen asleep and sank in. Running in he grabbed your shoulders, pulling you up as you sputtered out the water you had swallowed when he shocked you.

”What the hell is wrong with you?!”

Your whispered shout made Seonghwa’s eyebrows crash together in confusion, his cheeks gaining a slight tint as he whisper-shouted back at you.

”Me?! You’re the one nearly drowning! You cant fall asleep in the fucking bath, you idiot! You could’ve died!”

The worry on Seonghwa’s face quickly dissipated your frustration, looking up at him with a smile that just angered him more. Throwing his hands up in the air Seonghwa sat down on the toilet seat, resting his head in his palm as he glared at you.

”And now you laugh, you fucking laugh.”

Letting out one last snort you grabbed the shampoo from the side of the tub, throwing it to Seonghwa who effortlessly caught it with one hand.

“Nice one. And I was wetting my hair to wash it, idiot.”

Rolling his eyes, Seonghwa muttered a few choice words under his breath before standing up, walking over to you as he squeezed a little shampoo into the palm of his hand.

”Just hush and turn this way.”

Smirking you turned away from Seonghwa, letting him work the shampoo into various areas of your hair. His careful movements felt amazing, his slightly calloused hands massaging your scalp perfectly. Your eyelids started to droop and seconds later little snores left your mouth, the lack of sleep finally getting to you.

When Seonghwa leaned over and saw you sleeping he let out a soft chuckle, grabbing the jug from the side of the bath and filling it with the water before pouring it in your hair, careful to not hit your face with any. He repeated this action a few more times before dousing your body with water, washing away the last of the soap suds.

Seonghwa then drained the bath slightly, letting the water get a little bit lower before he wrapped a towel around your body, lifting you up and carrying you to the bed. He watched you curl into the warm towel with a smile, shivering slightly at the loss of heat. He quickly dried your body, slipping on your clothes and stopping every once in a while when you moved in your sleep, hoping you wouldn’t wake up.

Luckily your sleep was so deep you didn’t even notice when he dried your hair, teasing out the knots with a comb as he laid you in his arms. His back hurt resting on the hard wood of the bed frame but he ignored the pain, it was a small sacrifice he could make after all you had been through with Aera while he was away. When he was eventually done Seonghwa kissed your forehead, slowly laying you down before putting everything away and tidying up.

After both practice and caring for you, Seonghwa was tired as hell. A contented sigh left his mouth as he slipped into bed next to you, placing the baby monitor on the bedside table before he turned over to check on you. A little line of dribble left your mouth and Seonghwa wiped it away with his finger, kissing your cheek once more before deciding to escape to dreamland himself.

Wrapping his arms around your waist he drew you close, smelling the sweet peach of your hair products and leaving a small kiss on your neck when you instinctively wrapped your arms around his neck. His girls were safe, happy and asleep, so his job was done for the day. Whatever tomorrow held would have to wait for the morning, right now he just wanted to live in this moment, forever and always.

Ateez’s Yuri Leaves Everyone Shocked At Mama 2019.

Last night one of K-Pop’s most biggest award shows took place, MAMA. Multiple artists perform in the one night, leaving spectacular performances each year. This year, rookie group Ateez, left their mark.

Ateez is a nine member K-Pop group, who debuted on October 24th, 2018. They debuted with the title song “Pirate King”, with the members Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Yuri, Wooyoung, and Jongho.

MAMA 2019 would be ATEEZ’s first ever MAMA, and it definitely won’t be their last. They won three total awards last night, “Worldwide Fans’ Choice”, “Best New Predominantly Male Artist”, and “Worldwide Icon Of The Year”. They also had performed a mashup of their own song, “WONDERLAND”, and “Blood Sweat And Tears” by BTS.

Ateez has swept us off our feat with their performance, and their charisma. It came to a surprise to viewers when they had saw Yuri’s outfit, which was rather more revealing than her previous stage outfits, and when they had seen Mingi reveal his abs.

Throughout Ateez’s career as a group, the only female member, Yuri, had always gotten hate. Surprisingly, it wasn’t about her being the only girl amongst eight other boys.

And tonight was a big slap to anyone who had ever hated on Yuri. She had shown off her gorgeous skin, and her amazing skills as an artist.

KPOP BIASES AS: SONGS CURRENTLY ON LOOP

Jaebeom: Lazy by Woosung feat. Reddy. If you only listen to one thing on this list, make it this one. I love it. It’s exactly how you think it sounds. One of the most soothing voices I’ve heard in a long time. 

Hyunjin: Driver’s Licence (cover) by Gaho feat Woojin. I’ve been listening to this on repeat. Just two very good vocalists covering an already very good song. 

Changbin: Fire by Sik-K. One of my favourite korean songs of all time. Of. All. Time. Yeah. This man and his production team actually know how to use auto-tune properly. I hope he’s making friends with Taemin in the military. I would go insane for a collaboration. 

Taemin: Sorry by The Rose. Deeply emotive and beautiful. I almost cannot believe that Woosung sounds like this live. It’s like he has natural soft filters on his voice. 

Jisung: Beautiful Liar by Leo and Ravi of VIXX. Underrated. So underrated. I’d love to hear something like this from them again. Band versions of anything immediately elevates it. If you’re short on time, this is my favourite part of the song: the crescendo and build up into that high note is just so satisfying. I firmly believe that Jisung could perform both parts of this song. 

Taeyong: Pansy by Taemin. I listen to this on the way to work because it puts me in this grounded but positive mood. It’s interesting hearing such a soft song blast out from subwoofers though. If you have good bass in your car, play ‘Think Of You’ too. I’m telling you, the bass is so unexpectedly loud on that chorus. You can headbang reflectively. 

Jaehyun: Get Free by Lana Del Rey. Sedate Aesthetic for a Sedately Aesthetic man. Please don’t cut your hair yet. 

Chan: Need to Know by Doja Cat. I know he pushes this narrative of the being the fandom security blanket but I bet he’s as kinky as all men tend to be. We all know Christopher. Please consider re-dyeing your hair but I guess it won’t matter when the lights are off. 

Seonghwa: Marry You by The Rose. If you are ever sad, this does work. It’s a natural anti-depressant. 

Hongjoong: I Wanna Be Your Slave by Måneskin. This song is such a marvel because it’s deceptively simple in its instrumentation but it never feels lacking or empty. Damiano sounds exactly the same live as he sounds on record. So much attitude here. 

San: Drunk-Dazed by Enhypen. This song is such a killer. I went from knowing absolutely nothing about them to having a bias in 1 night. But this is what I do. I jump from one hyperfixation to another like I’m going to Parkour at the Olympics.

My Top Songs [2020]

Hi all!

As 2020 comes to an end (thank whatever higher power there is), I wanted to share a list of my favorite songs! (the following are songs RELEASED this year) (I’ve included a list of songs that I heard this year, but weren’t released in 2020, after it). These are mostly korean/chinese.

Alright, this is in NO particular order, just my favorites. I’ve mostly included one song from a group/solo act and added their other great releases in description. It is mostly music that I listened to, so if your favs are not here, feel free to rec me good music! ENJOY!

Black swan(orchestral version) by BTS

BTS had a great year musically. 2 korean albums, 1 japanese and lots of solo stuff. My most played songs are Dynamite (listen, she did what she had to do), Stay Gold (if gold had a sound, this would be it), Black Swan, Blue and Grey (i live for melancholy), Life Goes On (spring day’s successor), Filter(park jimin is a threat), Friends (my feels!), Louder than bombs (TROYE SIVAN), UGH (murder music), 00:00, Moon (jin solos are beautiful always) and Your Eyes Tell (honestly, show me one bad japanese single, i dare you).

Ghosting by TXT

I got into TXT a lot more this year, as opposed to being a casual listener that I was last year. Many people say they have a no-skip discography and I believe it’s true. My most played songs were Blue Hour (i ADORE this song), We Lost the summer, Wishlist, Can’t you see me (the song that made me a stan), Fairy of Shampoo (ethereal), PUMA (choi yeonjun is a threat), Eternally (an ATTACKK!) and their f2020 cover.

Ateez is another group i really got into this year, mesmerized by their performance abilities. My most played : Star 1117 (i’m very soft for this song), To the Beat (a true bop), Inception (holy jongho vocals), One day at a time and Good Lil Boy (does hongjoong ever have a bad rap verse?). Their Black Cat Nero cover also blew me away!! (i’m lowkey obsessed).

God’s menu by Stray Kids

I’ve been keeping an eye on Stray Kids ever since hellevator came out and this is my favourite song by them, so far (yes, i had a heart attack when i first saw Hyunjin). Most Played : Back Door (the beat drop gives me life, the choreo is probably my fav), All in, Easy (do they ever have a bad chorus?), GO LIVE (the beat??!! killer), Another Day (i am a slow jam hoe) and My Universe.

Pacman by eaJ   

I didn’t think it was possible to love him more after day6 but Jae’s solo music has proved me wrong. Yes, i love Pillows (with Keshi) to bits but pacman is my first love. Most Played : It just is (Seori and their golden vocals), LA TRAINS (vocals!!!), Pinocchio (the mv is adorable, the beat is so fun), 50 proof (the vibes man, it's the VIBES) and TRUMAN.

Left & Right by Seventeen

Another group with amazing releases this year, I’m slowly getting into Seventeen more these days. Most Played : Fallin’ Flower (so beautiful, the vocals), 24H (the beat change?!!???), 17 (Joshua, DK and Pink Sweats) and HOME;RUN (this is a brand of fun that is entirely their own).

Not by the moon by GOT7

I am no stranger to GOT7, i’ve liked their music for years now but this is one of their more lyrical releases this year and i adore when GOT7 does this type of music. Most Played : Poison (jackson opens it and the vibes are immaculate), Last Piece (the way the vocals flow into the rap) and Thank You, Sorry.

So Beautiful by DPR IAN

This is literally the first song i’ve heard from this artist, please rec me more. I also adore No Blueberries with DPR LIVE and CL.

Eight by IU, Prod. SUGA

IU is an indisputable vocal queen, and her music always comforts me greatly so when i heard she was having a song produced by Yoongi, i promptly lost my shit. It was everything I expected and more and embodies sorrow and pain with great grace. Give you My Heart from the ‘Crash Landing on you OST’ was also a loved song this year.

Cry for me by TWICE

How do i talk about the queens? TWICE is the group i go to when I want fun music with good vibes but this song has such bad b*tch vibes that i am in love. Most played : More & More (a bop), Don’t call me again, I can’t stop me (i love the way it flows), Handle It (the vocals??? How pretty this song is???) and Say Something (seriously, eyes wide open is an amazing album).

Criminal by Teamin

Where do i start with Lee Taemin? I love almost all his solo stuff. He grabbed me by the neck ever since ‘Move’ and hasn't let go. Criminal is SO taemin that i don't think anyone else could have delivered the concept with such grace and grit. Most Played : 2 Kids (the chorus is so good), Clockwork, Idea (i love the vibe) and Pansy (i'm a ballad hoe).

Maria by Hwasa

Listen, i loved Twit when it came out but i love Maria as her sound so much more. Most Played : I’m bad too (feat. DPR LIVE) (i love the beat, the vibe and the flavor), LMM and Orbit from ‘The King: Eternal Monarch OST’ (as soon as her voice comes in, i loved the song).

Breath by DEAN, Rad Museum, Mokyo

I’m not aware of many DEAN releases this year, please feel free to rec me if I missed any.

Dear my friend by Agust D ft. Kim Jong Wan (NELL)

D-2 was everything expected from the second mixtape off Agust D and yet it brought a fresh wave of singing and melodies, once again proving the man’s production genius. This song is so reminiscent in it’s lyrics and still so real, its my favorite off the record.Other songs I loved : People, Deachwita and What do you think? (i DID love the complete mixtape though).

Given - Taken by Enhypen

Yes, I watched  I-LAND. Given-Taken was a better debut then I expected at first. 10 months (the chorus and beat) and Flicker off their debut album were also played a lot. 

I just want to stay with you by Zion.T

The King: Eternal Monarch was a much awaited drama for a lot of people and it’s OST is one of the best ones this year. Zion.T’s amazing vocals really did an amazing job of expressing the love in the story. Other songs I really liked from this album were Gravity by Kim Jong Wan and the Hydrangea Instrumental by Lee Geon Yeong.

The purge by Jay Park, pH-1, Woodie Gochild, Sik-K, and others.

H1GHER: RED TAPE is my hype album of the year. All artists involved did an amazing job. Seriously, get yourself some bomb ass beats, as a treat. Other loved tracks : Telefono Remix (Woodie Gochild is great at his flavour of delivery), Closed Case and The Arrival.

Soul by Lay (zhang yixing)

Yixing’s album LIT was his best project till date, no arguments. He’s really evolved into such a refined musician, especially with how well he merges traditional chinese instruments into Hip Hop/RnB beats and I adore the vibe of this album. Although the album is great entirely, Soul is my favourite for how softly and prettily it flows. Other loved tracks: Eagle (the BEAT), Fly, Boom (bops on bops on BOPS) and Call My Name.

100 ways by Jackson Wang

It is astounding how well Jackson has formed his own style of music ever since starting off with Papillon. He’s also sort of come into himself as an artist and it has birthed some great music. Other loved tracks : Pretty Please (i love the vibe of the song!) and Should’ve Let Go (ft. JJ Lin).

SUGA’s interlude by Halsey 

Idk how else to explain it but Halsey and Yoongi have great music synergy. There’s something about their song/lyric writing that matches very well and needless to say, I adore the song. Blueberry eyes by MAX is also another great Yoongi collab.

In Your Time by Lee Suhyun

It’s Okay to not be Okay had an OST that was dreamy, gritty and very fairytale-esque, much like the drama itself. Among a bunch of great songs, this one is my favourite. Other loved songs: You’re Cold by Heize (always delivers!), Breath by Sam Kim (OST angel), Hallelujah by Kim Feel (chills!), In Silence by Janet Suhh (literally how angelic is her tone??), I’m your Psycho by Janet Suhh (it’s creepy in a dreamy way) and Brother | Her World | Through the dark Tunnel of time | Butterfly - all amazing instrumentals by Nam Hye Seung and Park Sang Hee (seriously, go listen to the album).

By my side by Junny

Another great discovery towards the end of the Year, Junny has vocals for DAYS and admirable delivery. Other loved songs: AURA ft. pH-1, edge (this is so hypnotising in it’s beauty) and I will. Please feel welcome to educate me more about this artist!!

Make a Wish by NCT

NCT always provides bops and NCT U is my favourite sub-unit, for their unique style of music, so when they came out with this song I was ready and they delivered! Most Played : 90’s Love  (the old boy band theme was so well done), From Home (i’m a sucker for slow songs), Nectar (yes, i adore WayV’s music), MAD DOG by NCT 127 and Kick It by NCT 127 (this is the flavour of NCT i LOVE).

Zombie by Day6

Day6 has always been in my daily otations and as always, they put out good music after good music. I loved both the original Korean and the English versions of this song (they do rock well, what else is there to say?). Other loved songs : Tick Tock (oh the vocals, the way the beat moves!), Love me or Leave me, Day and Night... actually the whole Album is great, go listen to ‘The Book of us: The Demon’.

Fearless by Ma Di [other chinese songs]

Chinese songs have been a surprisingly pleasant addition to my daily rotation. Fearless from the “Go Ahead” OST takes the top stop because of how well it embodies the struggles of stepping into adulthood, the melody and MaDi’s amazing vocals. Other Chinese songs I loved: Praise for Red Plum Blossoms by Xiao Zhan (the perfect welcoming of spring paired with  such expressive vocals), Remaining Years by Xiao Zhan (Joy of Life OST) and his OST for the Oath of Love.

Hongjoong - Right off the bat, it’s Masego’s Tadow, the entire way they did the song just gave me the impression, that once they have the means to have all of that in a studio, Hongjoong will probably do it too. Also, the lyrics.

Yunho - Tone Stith’s Let Me. Him being so willing to lend his credit card to Mingi in that one V-live. The way this fandom just agrees that he’s the type of person who’s love language is to pamper them. BUT ALSO. Yunho’s very relaxed, the relaxed that has him just leaning against the couch type. (is it the Scorpio mars? I have no clue.) BUT this song. THIS SONG. YUNHO. 

Second: Coco Bottle - Penomeco 

Yeosang - Eric Bellinger’s Type A Way. When Jongho said that Yeosang’s song recommendation was The Weeknd’s Heartless, it made me look at him at a slightly different light. He’s underestimated I think. So have a song that warns you that if you underestimate someone you’re bound to get whiplash.... which is what Yeosang gives me. His confidence in himself also is growing so it’s only a matter of time until he probably shows something deadlier than what he’s been showing us.  (cough cough @yeochikin thoughts?)

Different types of love. All just wanting the better for the other. San’s been the Day 1 for ATEEZ, wanting the best, wanting to improve for them. Besides the fact it’s called Purple emoji (San: Purple uwu), it’s just something I can associate San with.

It’s not brands either that are as known as Gucci but mention them to someone who knows fashion and there’s a chance that they know it. Rich boy vibes. Also, Live’s verse on world tours = Mingi’s wish for ATEEZ World Domination.

Wooyoung - Penomeco’s Coco Bottle. There’s something about this song that really gives me Wooyoung vibes. The whole: I want to get away from this place, somewhere different. with someone. I don’t have the lyrics here cause it’s really just a lot of comparisons to coco bottles, and being brought to his own world (whatever that means). I do see Wooyoung just freestyling to this song though :c

Jongho - It’s a tie between Ella Mai’s Boo’d up and Trip. LMAO, I really did not have any plans of looking at him. Not in the “I want to ignore this guy” but more of “I don’t want to fall for his charms” My friends have seen my turmoil of trying to stay strong and not fall for him up to how I now just Yell over Jongho’s existence and mannerisms.
