Do you think that -in the inevitable MK vs. his friends confrontation- Mei will accidentally seriously hurt him with the Samadhi fire? 🤔
Since strong emotions can cause it to run haywire, and there is nothing that would make her more afraid than having to fight her best friend.
There is NO way that they are completely done with the Samadhi fire. (Unless she lost it?? Subodhi did say she 'once' wielded it. So not anymore???)
But yeah- I bet it would come back into play during the MK/Mei battle. Especially if LBD mistook MK‘s destiny for her own. (Since that one vision she showed made it look like MK was burning before the world exploded. And she wanted everything he ended up having; the staff, his own powers, the Samadhi fire -indirectly, and well, a new title that implies destruction on a reality shattering scale.)
My view is that post the Embrace Your Destiny special, they resealed the Samadhi Fire (unsure if Mei still has her piece with her or if they successfully resealed it into 3 rings this time). We at the very least know she doesn't have it in s4 (MK has to save her in 4x01, she's worried about losing her sword in 4x05 which she didn't need with the Samadhi Fire in EYD, the Subodhi quote you mentioned). But, I don't think Mei using the Samadhi Fire again is completely out of the question. There are things that have come back that I never expected to be acknowledged again (The 1x01 seal being the same as the 4x01 and 4x14 flower fruit mountain seal was a huge shocker for me).
So the Samadhi Fire coming back into play with the MK/Mei battle? That would work super well! Especially with the way characters tend to reach for power and endanger their loved ones. It's a huge risk to take again, but if they feel they don't have any other choice it's something we know they're willing to resort to.

______
After her confession he took her during the night slowly and gently, drawing out her words of her love for him again and again. She felt heat each time she uttered them, as if she was putting on some kind of spell that only they understood.
She felt happy. She knew that after what she had said to him, he would not be able to send her away.
He would not be able to part with her.
The next day, just at dawn, they were awakened by a servant entering their tent without asking, finding them huddled together and completely naked. She squealed quietly, immediately covering herself with furs, feeling ashamed not because she had no clothes on, but because someone besides her husband could see her wounds and scars.
She watched uncertainly as her husband stood up quickly, dressing his trousers, seeing that a servant had come with a message. She saw him impatiently reach out his hand for the letter and unfold it. He quickly read its contents and tore it to pieces, his lips tightened.
"Bring my armour." He said lowly, the servant nodded quickly and left their tent, leaving them alone.
She blinked, swallowing her saliva, sitting down on the bedding, still covering herself with furs.
"What does the message say?" She asked quietly, uncertainly. Aemond pressed his lips together.
"There is no turning back now." He said coolly, glancing at her. She felt a shiver go through her at the realisation that a real war was beginning. Now that she was pregnant, when she should be strong, she was at her most vulnerable. Her husband's voice snapped her out of these gloomy thoughts.
"Meet me at sunset on the hill by Vhagar's lair. Don't take anyone with you. Do you know where it is?" He asked, dressing quickly and she blinked, surprised by his words.
What was he trying to do?
Her heart pounded in horror at the thought, that perhaps he wanted to run away.
No, she thought. He would never do that.
"Yes… something has happened? What are you going to do?" She asked in a slightly trembling voice, looking at him uncertainly. Her husband gave her a proud, dark look from which she felt uncomfortable.
"We'll get married."
She looked at him as if she hadn't understood the meaning of his words, confused, looking around the tent as if wondering if she had misheard.
What did he mean?
"I… forgive me, I don't understand. We are married." She said quietly and uncertainly, wondering if she had missed something. Her husband muttered under his breath, tying the binding of his nightgown, slipping it into his black trousers.
"Not in the face of my gods." He said quietly, casting her a careful, proud look. "Not in the tradition of old Valryia."
She felt her heart clench tightly, her cheeks flushed hotly, her lips tightened, trying to hold back a smile of disbelief.
He wanted to marry her again.
He wanted to marry her in the tradition of his ancestors and Old Valryia.
Her whole body trembled with excitement.
"Oh." She just choked out, playing with the material of the fur lying on her thighs. She heard him only hum in response and they said nothing more to each other.
While his servant helped him put on his armour, her maid combed her hair. She played with her fingers lying on the soft material of her nightgown, smiling under her breath, immersed in her own thoughts. She had no idea what the ceremony was like, but she was happy.
He had suggested it of his own free will.
It was his response to her confession.
A tangible confirmation that he reciprocated her feelings.
She wondered how she should dress for such an occasion - she didn't have much choice, most of her gowns were still in King's Landing. She decided on a reddish-brown gown with an open neckline starting below her breasts with buff sleeves.
The colours of his and her heritage, she thought happily.
She had promised him that she would not leave the tent in his absence, so she spent the day impatiently waiting for the appointed hour. She considered whether to turn up at their council meeting, but decided that her father was surely still angry with her and she should wait a little while before showing him her face.
Her husband had decided that war awaited them, and she accepted that.
She was ready to die with him.
She placed a hand on her womb, sighing at the thought.
A servant entered the tent, bowing before her, holding a wrapped note in his hand.
"My lady. The King sends you a letter." He said calmly, walking up to her and handing her the message. She swallowed loudly at his words, took the piece of paper from him and nodded to let her read it in solitude.
What could he possibly want?
As soon as the boy left, she untied the roll with her heart beating hard and began to read.
My Lady, the news of your injuries has filled me with sadness and bitterness for I realise that I have contributed to your misfortune. Know that not a day goes by in which I do not suffer through this thought. Neither I nor the kingdom will ever forget what you and my brother have done. I wish to apologise to you for my brazen confession and the situation I put you in King's Landing. Know that I want you to have a better opinion of me. That I wish to be a good monarch. Your devoted King Aegon -
She didn't know why, but she felt a tightening in her throat, as if she was about to cry. She felt lost in her feelings about this man, knowing that he had raped innocent servants without blinking an eye. On the other hand if there was a chance that he would change, that he would try, there was also the hope that she and her husband would not be fighting for a lost cause, but for someone who had grown up to be worthy of it.
She thought long and hard about whether she should write back or leave it unanswered. She decided, however, that she could not risk his discouragement and falling back into drunkenness if he saw her lack of response as her indifference and another rejection. She did not love him, but she wanted to be able to like him, to give him any warm affection.
She took a clean parchment in her hand, dipped her quill in ink and, after a moment's thought, began to write.
My King, your words fill me with joy. My wounds are healing properly. Both I and my husband remain devoted and faithful to you. Lady Baratheon -
She rolled up the message and summoned her servant, ordering her to send the letter to King's Landing. She reasoned that she would tell her husband, but after their nuptials, not wanting to frustrate and distract him with such things beforehand.
As the sun began to set slowly she put on her cloak and left the tent, telling the guards that she was going to meet her husband. They merely nodded, without going into detail.
She set off through the camp and squeezed between the tents, heading through the high fields and grasses towards the forest and a small hill. After a few minutes of walking, she spotted the huge, sleeping silhouette of Vhagar lying at the base of the hill. The dragoness raised her eyelids lazily and lifted her head slowly, letting the hot, smoky air out of her nostrils.
To her surprise, however, she made no movement. She thought she might have felt that she was carrying her husband's child inside her, recognised its familiar scent. This thought reassured her somewhat, but she still did not dare to approach her, lest she test her patience.
She jumped up frightened, hearing someone's footsteps. She looked back over her shoulder and was relieved to see her husband dressed in his everyday attire and a man she didn't know. She smiled at them, pulling the hood from her hair, feeling the joy and excitement fill her rapidly beating heart.
Her husband approached her, the corner of his mouth twitching in a slight smirk.
"We need to change." He said to her softly. She blinked, looking at him questioningly.
Aemond held out his hand to the man in whose company he had come, and he handed him the robes she had seen for the first time in her life, cream-coloured, for sure sewn from linen, partly dyed red. The man turned his back on them, and she swallowed quietly at the thought that she was supposed to be changing here, in the middle of an open space.
"Here? What is this?" She asked at the same time frightened and curious. She saw him cast her a proud, confident look, lifting his chin high.
"These are our wedding robes." He hummed low, and she looked at him with wide-open eyes. She took one of the soft materials from him gently, looking at him with her lips tightened, her cheeks red with excitement and joy.
Our wedding robes.
Robes similar to those of his ancestors.
Heat rippled through her heart like sweet nectar, making her mind dull with overpowering joy.
"You have to help me." She whispered, glancing at him. He murmured low and nodded.
She recognised with amusement that he had bravely approached the task, thinking that untying the sleeves of her gown and bodice would be easy.
She saw him furrow his eyebrows when he realised how complicated the ties were, requiring patience and calmness, which, as they both knew, her husband didn't have much of. She threw him an amused look and he murmured under his breath, his lips twitching in a smile.
He was happy, she thought cheerfully.
Nothing could spoil this moment for them.
When she was finally left in just her chemise, he helped her put on the robe, placing it on her body with solemnity, tying it around her waist with a wide, gold girdle. His face was serious and focused, the material pleasantly soft and warm. She pressed her lips together, feeling the arousal at the thought that her own husband was helping her dress in her wedding attire.
When he had finished he stepped back slightly to appraise his work and hummed contentedly, clearly satisfied with the end result.
"Let your hair down." He said calmly, and she threw him a surprised look.
She pressed her lips together at the thought that her maid had spent the entire morning working on her beautiful hairstyle of tangled braids, but she only sighed quietly and meekly began to slide the pins out of her hair. To her surprise, her husband began to help her, strands of her dark hair slowly falling to her shoulders, contrasting with the light fabric.
When they had finished he murmured contentedly and bent down, unwrapping from the delicate material a headdress she had seen for the first time in her life.
A triangular crown made of delicate material, decorated on the sides with tiny beads suspended from thin ropes, all trimmed with gold threads. She thought with delight that there was something beautiful and primal about it, a headdress worthy of a queen and goddess. She reddened at the thought.
"It's beautiful." She whispered with her throat clenched. She trembled as her husband hummed under his breath in response and lifted the crown up, placing it on her head, correcting the beaded cords on the sides to make them lay properly. He looked up at her finally, his lips parted slightly, she had a feeling he was breathing faster.
He liked what he saw before him, and she felt wetness between her thighs at the thought.
She thought it was her turn now and held out her hand to him. Aemond handed her the materials of his robes and she slowly helped him undo the buckles of his leather jacket, then his chemise and trousers.
She pressed her lips together, seeing that he was aroused, his manhood throbbing and hard. She tried not to think about it, tying the fabric of his robe with a belt similar to her own, glancing at him coyly, feeling that he was watching her every move.
At the very end, looking him straight in the eye, she reached her hand to the back of his head and untied the black ribbon tying his hair back, making the strands fall over his face, leaving his white hair completely loose.
She saw him pull his eye patch off his face in one sure movement and drew in a breath, delighted by the sight. They stared at each other for a moment in silence.
She shuddered as his fingers tentatively touched her cheek.
"Do you know what this ceremony involves?" He asked lowly, and she shook her head, scared and excited at the same time, placing her hand on his, pressing her cheek against his soft skin.
She heard him murmur quietly under his breath at her gesture, silent for a moment.
"Do you trust me?" He asked quietly and she felt her heart beat harder at his question.
She pressed her lips together and nodded. He hummed with satisfaction and leaned over her, placing a tender kiss on her forehead from which shivers ran through her. He pressed his nose to her cheek and began to speak quietly, as if he had just revealed some secret or mystery to her.
"The man who came with me will lead the entire ceremony. He has dagger made of dragon glass with him. We will cut each other's lips with them, and then the inside of our hands. The blood will flow from them into a goblet, from which we will both drink afterwards." He said, stroking her cheek reassuringly with his thumb, and she felt her heart stop in horror.
We will cut our lips and the insides of our hands.
She swallowed loudly at the thought, looking at him with wide eyes.
"Do not be afraid." He whispered and kissed her greedily, slipping his tongue between her lips, drawing her close to him, and she drew in a deep breath, needing it just now, the reassurance that she was safe with him.
She reciprocated his caress, the tip of her tongue licking his. She moaned into his mouth as he pressed his hips against her body, letting her feel how much he wanted her.
He pulled away from her finally, looking at her with his lips slightly parted, excited, energised. She had never seen him like this before in her life.
"Will you do it for me?" He whispered.
She swallowed quietly and nodded.
They walked slowly towards the man, who was already waiting for them, the cup in his hand. He took out the dragon glass, which he handed to her. She reached out her trembling hand towards him and grasped the blade, throwing her husband an uncertain, frightened look.
What if she cut him too hard, or did it too slowly, causing him pain?
She saw his lips form silently into the words "Don't be afraid" and swallowed quietly, approaching him slowly, the man standing next to them saying the words in his ancestral language, making her feel like she was participating in some exciting, dark ritual.
She grasped his cheek gently, hesitating, looking at him uncertainly, and he grasped her hand holding the blade, lifting it and nodded, giving her courage, his lips parted in silent anticipation and elation.
He craved it.
She forced herself with the remnants of her strong willpower to press the blade to his lower lip and run it over it, cutting it open. She heard him sigh quietly, as if in pleasure as drops of blood ran down his chin.
He opened an eye and took the blade from her with a gentle movement, moving closer to her, grasping her cheek in his large hand with a tender gesture. She trembled all over, drawing in the air loudly, frightened, and he hushed her quietly, making her feel a pulsing between her thighs, his face leaning over her, his hair tickling her skin.
He drew her closer to him, parting her lower lip with his thumb and with one sure, gentle slash of his blade he cut her open, making her feel an unpleasant dull burning sensation.
"My brave girl." He whispered, grabbing her neck, pressing his forehead to hers, looking at her with awe and reverence from which her heart beat harder, moisture running down her legs along her thighs, her breathing uneven and aroused.
They would be left with scars that would connect them forever.
She felt they were participating in something dark, primal and beautiful, as if the gods were now watching them from the heavens, uniting them with the blood of their bodies and their pain.
Her husband put the blade in her hand without taking his forehead from hers, looking at her with a misty gaze, breathing unevenly with her, revealing the inside of his hand to her, looking at her expectantly.
This time she didn't hesitate, and with a sure, subtle cut, she slit his skin, creating a diagonal, long red line. She shuddered as the man standing next to them placed the cup under their arms, her husband took the blade from her in a swift, sure movement, grasped her hand in his and cut her skin, making her hiss in pain and discomfort.
"Shhh. Just a little more." He whispered tenderly, then grasped her cut hand in his and intertwined them together, their mingled blood flowing into the cup beneath them.
She stared at the sight as if enchanted, unsure if she had ever experienced such a mystical, almost divine feeling. She felt that what was just happening was more than private, more than intimate, it was downright heavenly. Their shared, mixed blood slowly filled the vessel, and when the blood stopped dripping, the man handed her the cup, which she took from him with a trembling hand.
She hesitated for a moment, looking at the contents of the goblet, swallowing her saliva silently. She looked uncertainly at her husband and trembled as she saw how intense, dark, almost frantic his gaze was, looking at what she was doing with such immense anticipation.
Seeing this, she raised the vessel to her lips and took a deep sip from it. She squeezed her eyes shut feeling the metallic, tart taste of their warm blood spread across her palate.
She swallowed the liquid with difficulty, handing the vessel back to him. Her husband did not hesitate for a second, drinking all the rest of the contents while looking her straight in the eyes, as if he had been waiting for this moment all his life.
She saw his slit lips, red from blood, pull away from the vessel, something on the verge of obsession in his gaze from which heat spread through her body. She swallowed quietly as the man took the cup from him and, looking up at her face, he smiled genuinely and sincerely for the first time since she had met him.
Occasionally, in the nocturnal darkness of their chamber, in bed, as he let her snuggle against his chest after an intense elation, he would purr contentedly and his lips would curve into a lazy, contented smile. This, however, was not the same.
Now his smile was full of satisfaction, pride, contentment, accomplishment. She couldn't help it, her lips lifted upwards, reciprocating the gesture, and she knew that the heat she felt inside her, the wonderful devotion and affection she had for him, must have been beaming from her face.
He stepped closer to her, looking down at her, still holding her cut hand in his. He grasped her cheek in his other hand and leaned over her, pressing his forehead against hers, touching the tips of their noses together. She closed her eyes feeling, that she was overwhelmed with happiness and fulfilment. Nothing else mattered to her, only this wonderful moment.
She was his wife in the face of his gods.
She was his wife because it was his will.
Not his father's or his mother's, not his brother the king's.
His.
This realisation filled her heart wonderfully, making her feel butterflies in her stomach, a pleasant tickling from which she had shivers down her spine. She felt his warm, quiet sigh on her face, his breath irritated her skin.
She opened her eyelids and saw that he was looking at her, his thumb stroking her cheek in a slow, tender motion. They both parted their lips wanting to kiss, but they hissed quietly when their gaping wounds came into contact and looked at each other with amusement.
"Konir sagon mirre. (That's all.)" Said her husband loudly, low, not pulling away from her or taking his eye off her, his fingers trailing over her cheek, neck and hair. "Kostā henujagon. (You may leave.)"
The man in front of them bowed low and started ahead on his way back to camp, his footsteps spreading with a quiet rustling among the grasses. After a while, they were the only ones left at the top of the hill, the sleeping silhouette of Vhagar rising and falling in the distance, the quiet rustle of wind and trees all around them, the fresh evening air filling their lungs wonderfully.
The sky around them was surrounded by the last rays of the sun, purple and pink, the colour of his eye. She felt her heart beat harder with desire at the thought.
Her husband looked at her thoughtfully for a moment, as if he wanted to enjoy the view. He moved closer to her, making their entwined hands, all sticky with blood, pressed against his hard beating heart.
"Valzȳrys se ābrazȳrys. (Husband and wife.)" He murmured low, quietly, as if his throat tightened with emotion. She understood the word 'wife', as he addressed her that way sometimes, but the first was unfamiliar to her.
"Valzȳrys?" She asked quietly, trying to repeat the sound and accent he had used to say the word. She saw that he smiled slightly at her attempt, pleased.
"Husband." He said briefly, and she felt her cheeks flush, the space between her thighs clenched greedily around nothing. She swallowed loudly when she felt his hand on the back of her neck, just as she had then, during their wedding night.
Husband and wife.
"Vūjigon nyke. (Kiss me.)" He whispered, and she knew perfectly well what he was asking. He said it differently from when he was cool, aggressive, possessive, uncertain. Now his voice trembled, it was pleasantly low and warm, though still proudly firm.
She entwined the fingers of her healthy hand in his dishevelled hair and, disregarding the discomfort, kissed him greedily, passionately, the way only someone who was madly in love with someone could kiss.
She heard his murmur of surprise and delight, similar to the one he made when she touched his shoulder after he had stolen her first kiss in Storm's End.
His hand tightened on the nape of her neck, their entwined hands pressed against their chests, his tongue invading between her lips, sliding deep into her throat.
She felt the burning sensation of her fresh open wound, felt the discomfort, but still she couldn't pull away, pressing him against her even harder, the tip of her tongue teasing his, making more and louder sounds.
He rubbed his hips against her, allowing her to feel what was happening under his robe, how hard and ready he was to feel her. She felt shivers and pulsations between her thighs, felt her juices running down her legs. Things were different this time.
She was not a frightened and helpless child who had sailed to King's Landing like an object sold by her family.
She was her husband's wife, his chosen one, his companion in the eyes of his gods in this world and the next.
This thought and conviction filled her lungs wonderfully, her head spinning with joy. Unintentionally, they both began to pant, reaching for the fabric they were belted with, untying it slowly with their hearts beating loudly.
"Here?" She asked quietly, though she knew what his answer would be. It was a pleasantly warm, almost sultry evening, one that promised a storm the next day. She knew that, indeed, it was.
"Mmm." He only hummed in response, sliding his nose down to her neck, leaving wet, sticky traces of his lips brushing against her skin.
She felt, after a moment, the full material of her robe loosen, revealing her scars and her healthy skin, her naked body, everything that belonged only to him. She lowered her arms, letting the material from above slide off completely, the evening breeze pleasantly enveloping her exposed skin.
Her husband pulled away from her for a moment, looking down and then up at her face again, a darkness in his eye, a desire, a thirst from which she knew she had to feel him, that she could not hold out any longer.
"− please, valzȳrys −" She whispered and saw his pupil narrow, the sound of the word made him literally throw himself at her, forcing her to sit down on the grass and lay on her bare back, breathing loudly, his body resting on top of her between her legs.
She helped him open his robe, panting heavily along with him, their lips parted in excitement and desire. She felt him slide the material off her thigh, leaving her in front of him in nothing but a headdress, naked, beautiful.
However, he hesitated after a moment and stopped, breathing unevenly, his gaze shifting. She blinked, not understanding what had happened, and touched his cheek uncertainly.
She watched in surprise as he lay down beside her on his back, swallowing quietly, the top of his hand running over her bare chest and stomach. He didn't look at her.
"Come here." He whispered, and she rose slowly, sitting down beside him, stroking his bare chest with her palm, seeing under the material of his light linen trousers how much he wanted her.
She drew in a loud breath when she felt his large hand catch her thigh and lift it, forcing her to sit on top of him, straddling him. She looked down at him, it was the first time she had been in such a dominant position with him.
She had often ridden him while sitting on his lap, however he always sat then too, controlling the rhythm and what was happening, never letting her take the initiative completely. She could feel her heart pounding as she looked at his uncertain face, seeing him lying like that, vulnerable, breathing unevenly. He opened his lips a few times as if he wanted to say something, but couldn't.
"Do you want your wife to take care of you?" She asked quietly, figuring that this would make it easier for him to convey what he wanted to say. She heard him murmur and saw that he nodded slightly, his trembling hands roaming up and down her thighs and the sides of her waist.
She wondered what it was that scared him so much about this position and the fact, that someone could give him pleasure where he could relax and just take.
She thought that for sure his masculine, dominant mind was ashamed of having a woman dictate the pace and type of caresses to him, of watching his moans and pleasure as she fucked him rather than him fucking her. To her it was one and the same, but she thought it was something else to him.
Suddenly it dawned on her.
He wanted to give her what he had taken from her when he took her virginity.
Control.
She swallowed quietly and smiled tenderly at him. She stroked his cheek reassuringly and he swallowed hard, tense, his manhood pulsing intensely beneath her, separated from her hot entrance only by the thin material.
She slid it down slightly, letting his member experience how wet and ready she was, with slow, gentle movements rubbing back and forth against him. She heard him moan low, his lips parted, his hands tightening on her hips, showing her how much he liked it. Her insides pulsed hard at the sight.
"You make me so wet. I want you inside me so much. Do you think I'm worthy of that honour?" She whispered softly and heard him draw in the air loudly, a throaty, surprised moan escaping from his lungs, his manhood pulsed greedily beneath her, completely hard.
"− yes − I − fuck −" He sighed as her buttocks rested harder against him, massaging his member with the full weight of her body. "− please − just −"
She gasped at his words, knowing full well what he was asking for and what he needed. She lifted herself slightly, gripping him in her healthy hand, ignoring the burning sensation of the other on which she rested the weight of her body, and directed the tip of him against her.
They both moaned as she began to tease him, sinking down on him a little and lifting back up, not letting him slip between her thighs. She could see him watching this sight as if enchanted.
"− I − oh, gods −" He mumbled out, watching as his member stretched her tight, throbbing walls only to slide out of her a moment later, unable to experience fulfilment.
She fell completely on top of him only when his hands clamped helplessly on her hips, taking him all the way in, to the very end, and he moaned low, delighted by the sensation, clenching his eye, his sapphire glinting disturbingly in the starlight. All around them was only night.
She began to rise and fall on him with slow, soft, patient movements, wanting every millimetre of his length to enjoy the warmth of her sticky, rough, tight walls pressing against him on all sides. She leaned forward slightly, placing her hands on his shoulders, looking intently at his delighted face, rubbing his manhood against her front wall, teasing wonderfully her hidden point of unearthly pleasure.
With each unhurried movement of her hips, a loud sigh erupted from his throat, his lips parted, his gaze hazy, at once frightened, thirsty and full of the trust from which her heart squeezed. She saw him swallow loudly, as if he wanted to say something, his body responding with a gentle thrust each time she lowered herself onto him again.
"− I'm not sure − ah − if you're my wife − or − mmm − if it's the Maiden herself who came down from the heavens to marry me − the Stranger − darkness, nothingness −" He breathed out, and she moaned loudly at his words, involuntarily speeding up, falling against him with a loud spurt of her juices, filling herself to the brim with him.
She felt his knees rise to penetrate her deeper, her breasts bouncing up and down in front of him, droplets of sweat running down her neck.
"− valzȳrys −" She mewled helplessly, surprised and ashamed of his words, so tender and beautiful, comparing her to the most sacred goddess now that she had him deep inside her. He, however, continued.
"− as if life had married death − water had married fire − day had married night −" He growled, grasping her hot cheek with his hand, his thumb running over her lips, causing her pain and pleasure at the same time, his hips began to move inside her more greedily, faster, driving her mad.
She parted her lips, watching him on the brink of orgasm, rising and falling on top of him in intense, loud, sticky movements, their bodies slamming against each other with a wet slap.
"− my beloved god − implacable − cruel - unforgiving - ah - infinitely dark - like the night spreading over us -" She mumbled, lifting her chin up, tilting her head, her husband's hand squeezed her soft breast greedily, both of them panting and moaning loudly, close to fulfilment, she could feel him pulsing more intensely inside her.
"− ābrazȳrys −" He choked out helplessly and moaned loudly, throaty, coming hard inside her, his hot semen spilling over her in waves, his body tensed, glistening in the starlight from sweat and exhaustion.
Feeling this, she leaned over him, pressing her forehead against his and grasped his hand, pressing it between her thighs.
"− please −" She mumbled and moaned loudly when, without even asking her, he began to do what she needed, his thumb beginning to swirl in intense, sure motions around her pearl, making the tension inside her unbearable.
He fucked her with his still hard member through her orgasm, sweet, innocent moans escaping her lips as she fell on top of him with her last strength, coming down from her elation, panting hard along with him.
She fell suddenly on top of him, hugging her face to the hollow of his neck, having him still deep inside her, feeling their bodies pulsing against each other.
He put his arms around her immediately, his one hand on her back, the other on her hair, his chest all wet with sweat. They didn't speak for a long time, not feeling the need to, trying to calm each other down, the cold wind around them cooling their bodies pleasantly.
The Maiden and The Stranger became one.

My Legendborn Cycle Musings & Theories
Tumblr media
May 2023 is when I first got into this series and I've been hooked ever since. I've read Legendborn and Bloodmarked at least twice and I have some thoughts about the books and series in general. So without further ado:
Spoilers ahead!
First of all, I'm glad I waited to make this post because recently more information has been revealed about the next upcoming book (Oathbound), and that instead of the series being a trilogy of books it'll be a tetralogy (4 part book series).
Oathbound
I strongly believe that the Shadow Court is definitely going to be unleashed that was part of the bargain Bree made with the Shadow King after all.
Vera’s warning to Bree at the end of Bloodmarked: “Chaos thrives on imbalance.” In Oathbound, is Bree going to become villainous or corrupted in some form? Since she doesn’t have her ancestors to balance or influence her since she closed the ancestral stream?
Since the third book is called Oathbound I wonder if this means oaths will be broken or removed. Obviously, Natasia's Kingsmage Oath to Martin Davis had to have been removed. Could the same thing happen possibly between Nick and Sel?
At the end of Bloodmarked, the main trio: Bree, Nick, and Sel have become separated. Since this is Bree's story first and foremost I think the book will still only be from Briana's point of view. I don't think we'll be getting multiple points of view. However, I'm not quite sure.
Selwyn Emrys Kane
There’s more to Selwyn Kane than meets the eye. One of the main themes in the Legendborn Cycle is ancestry and inheritance.
Theory 1: Erebus (the Shadow King) is Selwyn’s father. Erebus is described as a father-like figure towards Sel and he has a history and a clear fondness for Natasia (He knew where she was at the end of Bloodmarked). However, we know that the Order supposedly monitored Natasia closely while they ensured she gave birth to an heir. Obviously, since both her and Sel are powerful Merlins there must be more to discover about their bloodline. Also, it is mentioned how closely Sel resembles Merlin his ancestor not only in appearance but also in mannerisms. Sel is a prodigy and has the rare ability to transform into an Owl like his ancestor Merlin. Not to mention, the skill he used to craft aether constructs to hold Bree together after her injury which isn’t easy to do and most likely would’ve killed other Merlins attempting to do it.
Theory 2: Maybe Selwyn’s bloodline has ancestral ties to someone on the Shadow Court.
Nicholas Martin Davis
He's going to be leading the faction of the Order that's still loyal to the Knights of the Round Table.
Maybe he'll continue to forge a further alliance with the Line of Morgaine. Nick will then be further exposed to how they live and maneuver outside of the Order. He is trying to find a solution to stop the Legendborn Cycle without the Scion of Arthur having to die. In Bloodmarked, he found something out but he didn't get to elaborate on it further.
In General
I think the relationship between Sel and William is underrated.
There’s still much we don’t know about Cambions and unions. So far, we know:
Full Demon + Human = Cambion
Human + Cambion = Cambion
But what about: Full Demon + Cambion = ?
Cambion + Cambion =  ?
Are these unions even possible or allowed and could they produce offspring?
On the cover of Bloodmarked, I think Bree is wearing the outfit that she wore during the Rite of Kings ceremony.
Valechaz is clearly enamored and fascinated with Bree and he's such a wildcard. Valec at times can also be hard to read. Will he be a friend or foe going forward?
This may be an unpopular opinion, but in terms of a TV series adaptation of the Legendborn Cycle, I would prefer that it be an animated TV series rather than a live-action series.

Monkey King x Reader || 𝒜𝓃 𝑒𝓉𝑒𝓇𝓃𝒶𝓁 𝓁𝑜𝓋𝑒
i FOUND YOU
lThe regroups near a river in the chapter they found .)
Pigsy: "Blue ain't really my color, but uh beats looking like that , ."
: "Technically, you'd be Zhu Bajie, now that you're on the ."
Pigsy: "Oh ho ho, no, no, no. Don't go comparing me to that demon. My name's just plain old Pigsy."
: "I can't wait to meet my ancestor, . I bet he was mega cool! Right, Tangy?"
Tang: (He laughs nervously.) "Well..."
: "I wonder when we're gonna meet my ancestor."
Mei: "I thought was your dad."
MK: "He's not my dad. Pigsy's my dad."
Pigsy: "Uh, kid, I'm not exactly your uh..."
Tang: "Hmm, Mei does have a point. MK, the rest of us mysteriously inherited the powers of the . However, Monkey King is the only original companion we know for sure is still alive. And yet, you have inherited all of his , so it is possible that—"
MK: "Yeah, right. If Monkey King really was my dad, don't you think he would have said something by now?"
Mei: "Yeah, 'cause he's normally sooo forthcoming with information."
MK: "Well, whatever. When we find Monkey King's stone, then we'll just ask him."
Tang: (Simultaneously.) "What?"
Mei: (Simultaneously.) "Monkey King's huh"
MK: "Monkey King's stone. The one he was born from. Ever since I got into the , I've been having visions of Monkey King standing next to his stone."
Pigsy: Wha... You didn't think to mention that sooner?!
MK: I'm telling you no-
MK was abruptly cut off from what he was saying to his friends as a gust of wind wooshed in the middle of the dear friends. There stood a woman who looked the size of Mei but slightly shorter. She also looked confused as to where she teleported and slowly turned around and saw...MK. As she teleported non-stop, desperately trying to find someone, she noticed that the place she had landed had pigs and a big blue guy who seemed all too familiar. She wasn't even trying to specifically look for MK at the time, as she was trying to find the two people she loved most. She was actually trying to see if the Monk was there (for help), but saw MK first.
Her eyes widen as they slowly lit up with excitment. She zoomed past the 4 friends as she embraced him with a big tight and loving hug. Annd not gonna lie MK was very confused as well as his other friends. But he didnt push the woman away though..or hug back either because he didnt know as to who this woman can be or how she knew him. He just looked at the woman confused and like....[ill just show it. like this eccept hes not smoling just looking down at her]
"I've missed you so much Ming! And you got so big!" [Ming: Bright] [Heulyn: Ray of Sunshine]
[All excluding MK]"MING???!"
The woman stops hugging Mk as her eyes glance at the 4 friends(im including the cat too so dats y). "I almost forgot you guys were here" she sweatdropped. "And yes, Ming. That's his name. Ming Heulyn" she said as she broke the hug.
Pigsy: "Woah woah woah. You mean to tell me that his name is Ming Heulyn?? No no no no, his name's MK, you know, 'Monkey Kid.' And who even are you supposed to be anyway? Some girl who who what? Who's in love with him or something??"
The woman let out a laugh at his outburst. "No, no this is my baby"
[All Including MK] "BABY??!!"
"Oh- I'm sorry. I mean baby as in son?"
[All ] "SON??!!" they all exclaimed. Mei let out a breath of relief she didn't know she was holding in.
MK: "WAIT-"
Tang: "MK IS YOUR SON?!" Tang exclaimed and got a nod and a soft smile in response. "That's amazing! *nudges Pigsy* Right Pigsy?" Sandy smiled and said wholeheartedly. "That means you're...[eyes sparkle] My mom"
"Yes sweetheart"
MK was in a daze hearing her call him that and that he actually had a mom. Pigsy huffed as he crossed his arms slightly looking away. "Why show up now? Why did you even leave him in the first place? He's been just fine without you"
"Now Pigsy, I'm sure there's a good explanation for this situation. No need to be so rude to..to um.. what's your name again?" Tang asked nervously sweatdropping because he thought it was rude to not know your name. "My name is Y/n"
[N/N - Ai: love, estimation]
Tang: "Miss Y/n. What a lovely name for such an elegant lady."
"Please, don't be so formal. Just say Y/n" She reassured. "And I never left Ming, i just came back and he wasn't there. [frowns]And I've been looking for him for ages and i couldn't find him...[smiles again] But I finally found him and I'm never letting him out of my site ever again"
MK snapped out of his daze with a serious look "You said you been looking for me?" And he got a nod in response. "So that must mean MK was taken from her then..." Mei added. Tang nodded in speculation as he pushed up his glasses. "But who would want to take him away from his own family though?" Pigsy added, a little upset someone would do such a thing.
"You know...you four remind me of people I used to know but...you're not them. You just look really identical" Y/n mentioned. "If you mean our ancient ancestors then, yes. But rest assured we are not them" Tang replied.
"And far from it" Pigsy added.
Y/n chuckled. "Dont worry, I could tell from the moment I saw you." "Was it that easy to tell??!" Mei asked astounded as y/n nodded.
"We were just talking about being able to meet our ancestors until you showed up" Sandy mentioned. "Really?"
Tang nodded "Yeah, and we were wondering if MK had any ancestors"
Me: "He also said Monkey King wasn't his dad even though it was clearly obvious. I mean, he has all of the traits Monkey King does" As Mei went on and on about how similar MK and Monkey King were Y/n zoned out at the name and more as she spoke. "I mean come it's clear that the Monkey King is MK's dad" She stood proudly with her hands on her hips but there was silence so she opened her eyes only to see her friends looking at Y/n with confused looks. "Arrrree you okay?" MK asked with a finger on his mouth. "You're dad...Where is he exactly?"
"She does not seem happy to hear his name" Tang whispered to Pigsy and Sandy and they both nodded. . . . "Wait, did you just say dad??/DAD?!"
MK started as he rubbed the back of his neck "Weeeee-" "-dont exactly know where he is.....right now" Mei finished also sweatdropping putting her fingers together repeatedly. "Did he even tell you guys anything??" Y/n asked the friends and her son but was only met with them shaking their heads in sync. "He's so forthcoming with information," Y/n said as she rolled her eyes. "That's exactly what I said!" Mei exclaimed.
"By the way, MK says he's been havin' visions of the Monkey King standing next to this stone he was supposedly born from after he got hold of the scroll. Do you know anything about this?" Pigsy asked Y/n.
"Vision?"
"Yeah, like, visions of his past...things like that" MK replied. "Hmm...I only know a little bit of why it's happening... but not all of it. Your dad will have to tell you the rest"
"Could you tell me what you know? [puppy eyes] Pleeeasee"
"Finee. Wukong is tearing through his past memories to get to you...he must have sensed that I'm here now and is making a very destructive way of getting to us hm?" Y/n chuckled. "But Since he's going through his memories he can't find his way out. [boops his nose] I think he needs you to help him with a little encouragement" MK nodded confidently.

Kamen Rider Deku Mission 15: The Next Phase
Previous Chapter / AO3 / Master List
In one of the office buildings of Deika City's central tower, the Meta Liberation Army executives are meeting about the Kamen Riders. The room is dark, with the only light playing being a projector showing various data they've collected on the Kamen Riders over time.
They're reviewing Deku's performance against Overdrive Nomu and how fast he and the Plus Striker are
"It's impressive that they can have such speed and control to keep up with that Nomu. They're quicker than any of our warriors, I would say." Trumpet says with an intrigued smile as they watch the chase happen.
"Yes. That motorcycle is faster than any support item my company has created. Not only that, it uses the same system as its rider." Re-Destro nods in agreement as the tall man, who recorded him and Giran, pulls up footage of Plus Striker using the Barrier Power Coin.
"It's amazing. I wonder what the capabilities of the system are. It's too bad we can't just take the one wielded by the one Slidin' Go and Shinonome without drawing suspicion. I'd love to see what the inside of such a revolutionary device looks like." Curious says with her usual smile as she watches the different videos.
"I wouldn't mind having our scientists look into them as well. Amazing job as always in collecting data, Skeptic." Re-Destro says while he smiles at the tall man.
"It was a simple task with the resources of Feel Good Industries, Grand Commander." Skeptic nods.
"So, what will our next move be?" Trumpet asks calmly, much to Skeptic's annoyance.
"Obviously, we'll try to find a weakness from the data gathered." He tells Trumpet in a somewhat condescending manner.
Trumpet rolls his eyes at his fellow executive's antics as Re-Destro speaks up.
"That's one of the reasons for this meeting. Another is that I'm having Geten look for a warrior who can wield the proto-type duplicate of the Driver the Kamen Riders use. I was wondering if any of you had any suggestions as well." Re-Destro tells them.
"Unfortunately, I don't know any warriors around me that can wield it." Trumpet tells Re-Destro.
"It's the same for me. I can't think of anyone." Skeptic nods.
The only one not denying it is Curious, who has a finger to her chin as she thinks about those around her.
"I might have someone in mind to test the device and make sure it's safe. He's a rather brave man who works as a security guard at my company. I'm sure he'd be more than willing to test the Driver for our cause. Do you plan to give it to Geten when you know it's safe?" She asks her leader with a smile, causing him to nod.
"Yes. Geten's Meta Ability has already gone through its awakening. Should we give him another way to enhance it, he may even be capable of fighting All Might, and our revolution can happen sooner than initially intended." Re-Destro says with a confident smirk that excites the others.
"Having the next All Might be on the side of our cause would greatly increase our influence. People would believe this was meant to happen and that your ancestor was right from the beginning, Grand Commander." Trumpet says with a pleased smile.
"Imagine how many hearts I could claim for the army by doing a story on Geten's life and his constant training for the Meta Liberation Army's belief. Everyone loves the story of a hard-working underdog whose efforts let them rise to greatness." Curious says happily while imagining publishing the article after Geten's debut and getting the M.L.A. more recruits.
Skeptic doesn't say anything but smiles at the prospect of their revolution taking off quicker with far more firepower than expected.
"Yes, yes. That's all perfect. However, we mustn't get carried away. We don't know how strong that device is or if it will help Geten's Meta Ability." Re-Destro chastizes the revolution leaders.
The leaders calm themselves from their excitement, and Re-Destro continues.
"Now, we have a good amount of information on each of the powers the Kamen Riders have used. Deku seems to be the most well-rounded of the group, with abilities that work to enhance his already incredible abilities along with long-range attacks, such as this Petrification Power Finish." Re-Destro states while the scene of Deku using the Solidification Power Coin against Overdrive Nomu is shown.
"On the other hand, Chamber is a mainly long-range Kamen Rider but does seem to have a mid-range form that relies on invisibility or camouflage," Re-Destro states while images of both Chamber's forms appear for the executives to see.
"Finally, the Kamen Rider we're trying to get on our side. King Explosion Murder." Re-Destro says as Katsuki's image appears onscreen along with his Kamen Rider form.
"From what Slidin' Go has told me, trying to get him on our side has been difficult. He has his mind set on only becoming the number one hero and isn't interested in anything else. All he cares about is the chance to be seen as the strongest." Skeptic states.
"Yes. He's a wild card but is also one of our more promising candidates for new warriors if his history at Aldera is anything to go by. He's apparently smart and has a lot of natural talent. With his Meta Ability, he'd make him the perfect warrior and possibly give him a chance to usurp Geten's position as the strongest warrior to our cause. Especially if we can get him to join us while he's wielding the Driver." Re-Destro states while holding up a file of Katsuki given to him by the Aldera Middle and Aldera High School principals.
"The problem is how we can get him to side with us. And how to do it without drawing suspicion to us." Trumpet nods.
"Exactly. Slidin' Go has told me his teachings haven't been going well. Luckily, from what I've been told, he likely won't hesitate to attack the other Kamen Riders when given the chance again." Re-Destro tells them with a smile.
"That's comforting to know. Even if he's not a part of our cause yet, he's still willing to help us by weakening the other two." Trumpet says with a content smile of his own.
"Yes. That's why I believe the key to our victory is to separate the Kamen Riders so two will be in one place. We'll give our wildcard the chance to take his anger out on the other Kamen Riders while forcing another to fight alone." Re-Destro explains.
"So, we're going to have our wildcard battle one of the Kamen Riders and soften them up for us?" The only female executive asks with a cheerful smile, much to Skeptic's annoyance.
"Obviously. The real question is, who do we make fight the Nomu, and who will fight our Kamen Rider?" He tells her.
This question causes the executives to fall silent as they think about the best course of action.
"Wouldn't it be best to have Deku face off against K.E.M. since his history with Deku made Shinonome choose him?" Trumpet asks with a raised eyebrow.
"Plus, since Chamber is a long-range specialist, it may be easier to handle him with a Nomu than Deku. We can just find someone with a speed Quirk who will easily close the distance against him." Curious states in agreement.
However, Skeptic has other plans.
"I say the one we should make fight King Explosion Murder is Chamber. Lately, they've been at each other's throats more than King Explosion Murder and Deku. Also, Chamber has displayed more experience and tactical thinking, constantly putting himself in a position where his range gives him the advantage. Let's not forget about his new form." Skeptic states calmly.
Re-Destro doesn't say anything as his executives discuss what to do. He can see their points and isn't sure what to do. Finally, after a few minutes of debate, he makes his decision.
-------------------
In Hisashi and David's lab, the two put the final touches on the fourth Hero Driver to ensure it's running right.
"Looks like everything's running right. Get some of the test Power Coins ready so we can test the power output of the nanotech." David tells Hisashi as he sets the Hero Driver on a table with multiple scanners.
Hisashi nods and goes toward a cabinet. He opens it to reveal different sets of Power Coins. He quickly takes a few and heads toward the Hero Driver. He quickly inserts one, and David checks the real-time data it's displaying from the scanners.
"Everything looks good for emitters," David tells him.
Hisashi nods and inserts another.
"Transformation looks good too." David nods.
Moving onto the last one, Hisashi inserts it, and David frowns when he sees that data.
"Something seems off with the mutant-type Quirks. The output is a little sporadic." David warns Hisashi, who frowns in response.
"Let me see," Hisashi says while walking toward David to see the problem.
Just as David says, the power output being shown is moving at a sporadic rate.
"Huh. Well, it's not like we didn't expect this. Mutant Quirks are the most difficult to copy since they have a more permanent effect over the other two types." Hisashi mutters as he tries to figure out where the problem may lie.
"True. We may have to re-check the analyzer again. It may just be a small glitch like last time." David nods as he types a few things on the computer.
Hisashi groans in annoyance when he hears that.
"I can't believe people will want to mass-produce these eventually. It takes so much time to finish one of them. Plus, it takes laser surgeon-like precision to guarantee that it works." Hisashi grunts as he prepares to open the Hero Driver.
"Well, you know people. They always want more." David laughs as he walks over to help Hisashi.
"Don't I know it? Plenty of the heroes I've made equipment for always wanted me to improve the design of something I made for them so they have a better chance to get up in the rankings." Hisashi says, annoyance clear in his tone.
"We can probably develop a mass-production model by cutting back on some things," David tells him.
"Probably. We'll work on the design later after we finish working on the Hero Drivers." Hisashi tells him.
-------------------
While plots are being formed, Izuku and Shiki are with Toshinori for their usual beach training. Compared to the beginning, Izuku is showing clear improvements in physical ability by continuing to lift various medium-sized pieces of trash like Shiki. Shiki isn't far behind in growth, either.
"So, how have things been with you?" Shiki asks as he carries a refrigerator door off the beach next to Izuku, who's holding a beaten-up trashcan.
"They've been going good. I'm starting to get used to everything, I think." He tells Shiki.
"That's good. I'm glad you're getting used to everything. It'll make things easier when we try out for U.A." Shiki nods before setting the door in Toshinori's truck.
Izuku's eyes widen at the reminder of U.A.
"That's right. I've been so busy that I forgot the entrance exam will be in a few months. It's a good thing I already sent in my application." Izuku thinks in relief as he follows Shiki's lead and sets the trashcan in the truck.
After doing this, he looks toward the horizon.
"It feels weird. After everything I've been through these last couple of months, the idea of the entrance exams doesn't feel as scary. In fact, I'm looking forward to it." Izuku thinks with a smile.
"You realize we can't use our Kamen Rider forms for it, right?" Shiki randomly asks Izuku, causing his brain to pause.
"What?" Izuku asks in confusion.
Shiki continues, thinking Izuku wasn't listening to him.
"We can't use our Kamen Rider forms. We don't want people spreading rumors that the Kamen Riders weren't even in a hero school when they started saving people. We can use other things like our weapons, but not the armor." Shiki states to Izuku.
Suddenly, Izuku's bravado disappears as he realizes it'll be up to his physical abilities without being transformed. He crouches and begins to mumble to himself about the possibilities. Shiki sweatdrops at this reaction.
"Did I say something wrong? I thought he already knew. Did he really think we could use the form for an exam where people can see us and tell everyone?" Shiki questions in his mind as he stares at Izuku.
"Are you okay?" Shiki awkwardly asks as he stares at the panicking Izuku.
"What am I going to do? Will I be able to handle the exam without my body being enhanced? I'll be the only one between us to fail, and All Might will hate me because I took up the precious time he could have used to save people." Izuku continues to mutter as he thinks about multiple bad scenarios.
Shiki's sweatdrop grows when he sees his partner's reaction to his question.
"I kind of feel bad now." Shiki thinks before trying to shake Izuku out of his stupor.
"Hey. Calm down. You still have a good chance of getting in without the armor." Shiki tells his friend as he finally wakes Izuku up.
"R-really?" Izuku asks hopefully as he looks at Shiki as if he's on the verge of crying.
"Yes. We can still use weapons like the Power Blade, and we have another advantage most people don't." Shiki tells him to try and cheer the teen up.
"What?" Izuku asks curiously, and Shiki motions toward Toshinori. Who is currently going over something on his phone and not paying attention to them.
"We're being trained by All Might himself. That's something most people, especially our age, can say. Not only that, we're also getting real experience. That's something only vigilantes have over other applicants." Shiki tells him.
Izuku thinks about Shiki's words before realizing he's right. Most applicants for a hero school have little to no experience unless they break the law by becoming vigilantes or have a hero in their family since those family members can often help them train. He and Shiki would have a clear advantage in the U.A. exam due to their experience as Kamen Riders.
"You're right. But we don't have Quirks either. That could be a problem still." Izuku tells him.
"We're not going up against Nomu during the exam. Our weapons and training should be more than enough." Shiki tells him with a calm shrug.
Izuku still looks unsure, and Shiki sighs.
"We'll be fine, Midoriya," Shiki reassures him.
"Quite right. You two can handle anything that comes your way with proper training and by sticking together." Toshinori tells them as he walks toward them, having heard only the end of their conversation.
The two turn toward their teacher as he smiles at them.
"I want you two to remember. Heroes often work together to accomplish a common goal, even if they have to compete for attention. Teamwork is important for heroes so the people will feel safe with them around." Toshinori tells the two.
Izuku and Shiki nod at his words, causing Toshinori's smile to widen.
"Good. Now, back to your training. Time waits for no one." Toshinori orders while pointing toward the beach.
With a sigh, the two quickly get back to work. As they do, they're both thinking about their futures.
"I can't believe the entrance exam is only a few months away. Am I really ready for it?" Despite Shiki's best efforts, Izuku is still nervous about his chances, given the acceptance percentage of U.A.
On the other hand, Shiki has a determined glare and seems to be pushing himself a little more than before.
"I'm going to get into U.A. I have to. The best way to become a strong hero is to go there." Shiki thinks while lifting another large piece of garbage and power-walking toward Toshinori's truck.
Toshinori watches the two work and can't help but smile at their progress.
"Both of them are showing real signs of change. One of them might be worthy to inherit my title." Toshinori thinks as he keeps a close eye on the two.
He then looks at his palm before clenching it into a fist.
"I'm running out of time. I can barely keep my strength up for a few hours now. I may need to choose a successor soon." Toshinori thinks with an angry scowl.
"Hopefully, I can finish him off before I run out of time. I'm sure he's still alive. The Nomu prove that." Thinking along those lines causes the scar on his torso to start acting up with phantom pains, and he winches.
"I shouldn't have let him get to me. The suffering and Nomu are my fault. I can't leave it to the next generation." Toshinori thinks with a tone of finality before returning to observing his students.
He watches as Shiki determinedly puts more pieces of trash in his truck while Izuku seems to be moving somewhat sluggishly like he's thinking about something.
"They don't deserve to suffer for my mistake." Toshinori thinks.
-------------------
Days after that, Slidin' Go is on his phone with Skeptic.
"That is our current plan for the Kamen Riders," Skeptic informs him about the executive's plans.
"Alright. I'll try to make sure Bakugou works with one of the other Kamen Riders." Slidin' Go nods, knowing his boss doesn't like it when he asks questions.
"Good," Skeptic says before hanging up.
Slidin' Go sighs as he looks at his phone while rubbing the back of his head.
"How am I supposed to do that when neither wants to be near him and are usually together? It's more likely that they'll already be near each other." Slidin' Go mutters as he tries to figure out how to separate Deku and Chamber.
"This is going to be tough." Slidin' Go complains before sighing and getting to work.
-------------------
Somewhere else, Izuku and Shiki are heading to school on Izuku's Plus Striker.
"So, are you feeling better about the entrance exams?" Shiki asks while holding onto Izuku.
"I-I think so. I think you're right. We do have a good chance of getting into U.A.," Izuku tells him with a nod.
"It's not like we can aim for anything lower. Most schools with a hero course have a ban on people without Quirks even trying out. Besides, we'll likely get into the General Studies Course. So, we'll have the chance to get into the Hero Course later on." Shiki explains to him.
"Wow, you know a lot about this." Izuku can't help but praise his friend.
Sure, he's a hero nerd. But his hobby usually involved studying different heroes and their Quirks. Of course, he's kept up with other hero subjects, such as schools. But U.A. was more secretive and protective with their curriculum since it's the best school in Japan for heroics.
"It comes with being the grandson of the Hero Public Safety Commission chairman. I learned a lot that others don't about heroics. And I do mean a lot." Shiki states calmly while checking to make sure his helmet is secure.
"Really?" Izuku asks excitedly.
"Yeah. I might know more than you. Hard to say, though. I've heard you are a heavy hero nerd." Shiki tells him with a shrug.
Hearing this makes Izuku more excited about talking to Shiki. However, something comes to his mind when he keeps hearing Shiki discuss his grandfather instead of his parents.
"Hey, Hikage. What are your parents like? I've only seen you're grandfather, and they weren't at your apartment when I visited." Izuku asks curiously.
Unknown to Izuku, Shiki winches when he hears that but answers anyway.
"They're not around that much. They're both heroes that travel often." Shiki tells Izuku calmly.
"That's cool. What are their names? Maybe I've heard of them." Izuku says excitedly.
"I'll tell you later. We're almost to school now. So, we don't have time if you want to fanboy over them." Shiki quickly states as he sees the school in the distance.
"Alright." Izuku nods.
-------------------
Unknown to the two, the Meta Liberation Army is about to begin their latest plan.
"I'm in position." A male warrior with a shaved head, slightly tanned skin, and brown eyes says into an earpiece.
The man is wearing a black shirt with a skull, blue jeans, and black boots that go a bit above the ankles.
"Good. You sure you're Meta Ability will be able to separate the Kamen Riders when you see them?" A feminine voice asks into his earpiece.
"Yeah. It should work without a problem. I've practiced with it before we got here and have a pretty good idea of how it works." The man states.
"Good. I'll be ready to pounce on them as soon as we see them." The female voice nods.
The man doesn't say anything and looks toward a roof where a woman with long black hair, pale skin, green reptile-like eyes, and skin-colored scales around her cheeks. She's dressed in a long-sleeve black shirt with diagonal dark green stripes, turquoise green jeans, and beige flats.
Seeing she's up there. The man takes a deep breath and starts morphing into his Nomu form.
The man's Nomu form gives him pitch-black skin with a grey belly and legs. His face elongates into a reptile-like one as his skull separates to reveal his brain, and his eyes turn golden. Purple pants replace his clothes as his body bulks until he can dwarf Death Arms, and he seems to grow a tail. Finally, purple scales that wouldn't look out of place on a stegosaurus grow from his back to the end of his tail.
With his transformation done, the man growls like a predator in the wild before charging out of his hiding place and slamming into an oncoming car. The driver screams in a panic and quickly gets out as Stego Nomu picks the vehicle up and throws it at another one.
"Bring me the Kamen Riders!" Stego Nomu screams at the top of his lungs before getting on all fours, and the scales on his back and tail fire in different directions. The scales pierce through anything in their path like a spear through paper, and Stego Nomu regrows his scales instantly to perform a rapid fire of this.
When the two un-transformed Kamen Riders see this, Izuku immediately skids them to a halt while Shiki has to duck to avoid getting his head cut off.
"Get us somewhere to hide! Now!" Shiki shouts in alarm as he sees Stego Nomu's scales regrow, and he's about to fire another volley.
Izuku quickly turns on the gas and drives them toward a corner they passed before to get out of Stego Nomu's line of sight. After turning that corner, Izuku lets up, and the two park. It takes a little bit for them to get their bearings from the sudden Nomu, though.
"Okay. Do these guys have nothing better to do? That was way too close for comfort." Shiki says as he puts a hand to his heart to try and calm it down.
Izuku isn't in better shape. He's shaking a bit from the shock as he tries to relax. After a few moments, the two calm their nerves. When they do, they see most people are busy doing their own thing or heading toward where the screaming is to see the heroes fight.
"Looks like we have room to transform," Shiki tells Izuku before the two duck behind a truck and pull out their Hero Drivers.
They insert their respective Power Coins simultaneously and cause their Hero Drivers to sync with the other as they announce.
"Rabbit + Quirkless, blank match/Rifle + Quirkless, blank match."
Following the synchronization of their Hero Drivers, the two turn the keys simultaneously without realizing it. Causing smoke to envelop them both.
"JUMP, JUMP, REACH FOR THE MOON, JUMPING RABBIT/READY, AIM; I'VE GOT YOU IN MY SIGHTS, SNIPER RIFLE!"
When the smoke clears, both Kamen Riders are ready.
"Kamen Rider Deku/Chamber!"
That announcement draws a few eyes in their direction.
"It's the Kamen Riders!" Someone says excitedly.
"Go take that villain down!" Another person says.
"Go, heroes!" A young boy says happily as the Kamen Riders run past them.
As soon as Stego Nomu sees the two, he grins.
"Perfect. They're here." He says into his earpiece.
"I see that. Make sure to separate them." The woman orders.
"You're finally here, Kamen Riders. You're about to be destroyed by the dino might of Stegogai." The newly named Stegogai announces before charging toward the Kamen Riders, slamming any vehicle in his path to the side as he does so.
The Kamen Riders see him coming, and Chamber fires upon Stegogai with his wrist-mounted guns while Deku equips the Mighty Knuckle. However, the bullets don't seem to slow Stegogai down. He continues to charge toward them while raising his fists above his head. Seeing that the attacks aren't working, Deku runs toward Stegogai with the Mighty Knuckle ready to deliver a punch.
"I need to dive in close to hit him." Deku thinks as he and Stegogai are about to meet.
But before he can meet Stegogai, the dinosaur-themed Nomu slams his fists into the ground and causes the earth around him to move like waves in the ocean. This attack sends Deku flying and pushes him and Chamber to opposite sides of the street as Stegogai stands before them.
Chamber shakes his head and moves to stand up. Before he can, though, he feels talons latch onto his shoulders before picking him up and quickly bringing him into the air. After taking a second to get over the shock of his current situation, Chamber looks behind him to see a feminine Nomu who looks like a pterodactyl is the one carrying him off the ground.
"Sorry. But we can't have you two work together. But don't worry. I'll let you have a partner for our playtime. You can call me Terra Swoop, by the way. As you might have guessed, we're here to take you down." The Nomu says in a mischievous and slightly sadistic tone as she increases their speed to get him further away from Deku before either Kamen Rider can try anything to stop her.
Deku sees Chamber being taken away as he recovers and screams.
"Chamber!"
He gets up and is about to equip his Power Blade to fire upon Terra Swoop before getting slammed into a building by Stegogai.
"No, you don't. You and I will be fighting mano a mano while my friend deals with him." Stegogai says confidently before grabbing Deku's leg and throwing him into a car across the street.
Stegogai follows this up by getting on all fours and charging toward Deku. As he does, he fires the top spines on his back at the prone Kamen Rider. Deku barely looks up in time to see them and pull himself out of the way. He then has to jump back to avoid Stegogai's charge but gets hit with a tail swing before he can do anything else.
Deku groans as he crashes to the ground again.
"Wow. This guy is fast for his size. He's strong, too. He's using his Quirks amazingly. I can't even tell which is his real Quirk." Deku thinks before finding his leg getting grabbed again.
Not wanting history to repeat itself, Deku quickly uses the Mighty Knuckle to punch the arm holding his leg before Stegogai can lift him too far off the ground. The force from the punch causes Stegogai to let him go and take a couple of steps back while rubbing his hand.
"Man. You do pack a punch. No wonder the other guys couldn't get the job done if only one of you packed that much power." Stegogai says in slight irritation as the pain starts to subside.
Deku quickly takes advantage of Stegogai's shock to distance himself from Stegogai and regain his bearings.
"Good. I managed to get away from him, and the Mighty Knuckle can hurt him on its own. If it's like this, I can probably beat him if I keep moving. Should I run toward the Plus Striker, just in case?" He wonders in his mind as he raises his fists in a fighting stance.
"I was hoping this job wouldn't be too easy. It wouldn't do us any good if the Kamen Riders were weak. Besides, it's more fun to beat the crap out of someone to get what you want." Stegogai says as he cracks his knuckles before charging toward Deku.
-------------------
With Chamber and Terra Swoop. The Kamen Rider is struggling to get away from the pterodactyl-like Nomu. However, every time he tries something like shooting her or reaching for his Power Coins, she maneuvers herself to stop him by suddenly diving, corkscrewing, looping, or letting her hold go to grab another part of his body.
After some time, she releases him and throws him into the window of a school building. When Chamber collects himself, he sees that he's in a classroom. More specifically, Katsuki's classroom.
"Woah!"
"What's happening?"
"It's a Kamen Rider!" Someone shouts excitedly.
"Awesome!"
"Wait. He was thrown through a window. Is a Nomu here?"
As his classmates start panicking, Katsuki growls at how Chamber is thrown into his classroom before running out of the room. Luckily, Slidin' Go gave him some lee-way today and let him keep the Hero Driver on him. But while having the chance to turn into a Kamen Rider is nice, it annoys him that he has to hide to transform and can't show that he's the best to the extras around him.
Back with Chamber, he's standing up but doesn't have a chance to do anything else as Terra Swoop flies through the hole she made with him and slams beak first into him, causing the windows and wall behind him to break as they leave the classroom and he lands in the school's track field.
"What's the matter, Kamen Rider? Can't get your feet off the ground? I thought you could fly. I guess I was wrong. I'll bet I was wrong about your aim too." Terra Swoop mocks him as she flies in place by flapping her wings.
Chamber glares when he hears this and equips the Ultra Magnum. He tries to hit her, but Terra Swoop quickly soars out of the bullets' paths, and Chamber has trouble keeping up with her speed. He soon hits the ground again when Terra Swoop divebombs him again and crashes into his chest.
"Looks like I was right about your aim being terrible." She mocks again before needing to dodge an explosion courtesy of the school's resident secret hero.
"Die!" He shouts as he uses his explosions to propel after the Nomu.
Despite his best efforts, he can't keep up with Terra Swoop. That doesn't stop him, though. All it does is anger him more, which he uses to fuel himself and continue chasing her while trying to figure out how to catch her.
As K.E.M. tries to catch Terra Swoop, Chamber gets up and looks through his Power Coins for something to help him shoot her down. After a second, he chooses his new go-to Power Coin, the Dragonfly Power Coin, and inserts it into the Ultra Magnum.
"Dragonfly Power Finish!" The Hero Driver announces as Chamber fires bullets with sporadic flight patterns at K.E.M. and Terra Swoop.
Terra Swoop sees these incoming bullets and secretly smirks.
"Time to put the plan into action. Let's see how you like this." Terra Swoop thinks as she concentrates on the bullets while K.E.M. is charging behind her.
As the bullets are about to surround and pierce Terra Swoop, they suddenly change flight paths and fly toward K.E.M.
K.E.M. is shocked at the sudden shift and is hit by the bullets in full force, causing him to crash to the ground while Terra Swoop charges toward a shocked Chamber. She slams into him and drags him across the ground before she picks him up and soars straight up. She then dives back down and sends Chamber flying into K.E.M.
"Get off me, you useless shit!" K.E.M. shouts as he kicks Chamber off him.
Chamber grunts as he gets up while glaring at K.E.M. and trying to figure out what happened. However, he doesn't have long, as K.E.M. grabs and lifts him off the ground.
"What was that, you worthless fuck? You shot me instead of the Nomu!" He shouts into Chamber's face with a tone full of venom.
"I don't know. It must be one of her Quirks. I was aiming to take her out." Chamber tells him as he pushes K.E.M. off him.
Their fight amuses Terra Swoop before choosing to end it by diving toward them again. The two Kamen Riders don't notice her until she's close to them and don't have time to avoid the hit.
From the ground, Chamber growls and fires at Terra Swoop with her wrist-mounted guns. Luckily, one of the bullets managed to hit her, causing her to falter slightly.
"Why, you little." She grunts in slight pain and surprise as Chamber continues to fire at her.
-------------------
Back with Deku, he's currently ducking under a punch from Stegogai before delivering an uppercut to Stegogai's chin. However, the Nomu sees this coming and quickly intercepts the punch by grabbing Deku's arm before throwing him to the side.
Not wanting to stay on the ground long, Deku quickly springs back to his feet by running forward to keep out of Stegogai's grip. He turns around just in time to see Stegogai, with his back turned to him, about to fire his spines at the Kamen Rider.
Seeing this, Deku instinctively reaches for his Power Coins and manages to pull out the Barrier Power Coin and insert it into the Mighty Knuckle.
"Barrier Slam Finish!" The Hero Driver shouts as Deku slams the Mighty Knuckle into the ground to create a green barrier around him that blocks the incoming spines while they crack the barrier upon impact.
Stegogai turns around in time to see the barrier dissipate and glares at the Kamen Rider.
"Alright. You're as annoyingly tough as they said you were. But you won't be able to beat my combination of Meta Abilities." The stegosaurus Nomu tells him as he prepares to charge again, not knowing that his words cause Deku's eyes to widen in surprise.
"He's referring to his Quirks as Meta Abilities, too, like with the Paper Nomu." Deku thinks as he jumps over Stegogai, causing the Nomu to crash into the wall behind him.
He then follows this up by charging at him and delivering a strike to Stegogai's butt, with the Mighty Knuckle, pushing him deeper into the wall.
"Why, you little," Stegogai growls as he gets up and turns toward the Kamen Rider.
Only to be met with a boot to the face courtesy of a dropkick from Deku before the Kamen Rider uses his face to jump back again. The full-body kick causes Stegogai to stagger back while holding his face in pain.
"Good. It looks like I'm doing some damage to him without the Power Coins." Seeing this makes Deku happy, knowing he's not as weak as he first thought due to the damage done already, even if it's only minor.
However, his happiness is short-lived when Stegogai throws a table near him at Deku and sends him crashing into the concrete. Stegogai then follows it up by charging at Deku and jumping to try and land on him with the entirety of his weight. Deku sees this and panics before rolling to the side. The force behind Stegogai's landing leaves cracks in the concrete.
Deku quickly gets off the ground while equipping the Power Blade in his other hand. He then turns the blade and grip around so the gun muzzle is pointing behind the blade.
He charges at Stegogai and slashes at Stegogai. The blade doesn't cut into Stegogai's tough skin, but Deku doesn't give up. He quickly pulls the trigger on the Power Blade and uses the extra force from the gunshot to force the Power Blade into Stegogai's skin.
Stegogai grunts and quickly slams the arm Deku is cutting into him, sending the Kamen Rider skidding a few feet back. He tries to follow this up with a straight, using his other arm, but Deku ducks under this attack and launches his own punch with the Mighty Knuckle. The force from the weapon sends Stegogai skidding back before he falls forward and gets on all fours. He then launches the top spines at Deku to stop him from getting too close.
Deku instinctively jumps in the air to avoid the shots, but that opens him up for the other spines on Stegogai's back and tail. Deku tries to use his arms to block the attacks, but it doesn't help much, and he falls on his side in pain.
Stegogai takes this chance to charge at him. Luckily, Deku is one step ahead of him this time. While in the air, he reached into his Power Coin holder and pulled out a Power Coin before hitting the ground.
He inserts that Power Coin into the Power Blade, causing the Hero Driver to shout.
"Swamp Power Finish!"
Deku quickly slams the blade of his sword into the ground and the ground before it starts turning into sludgy water, heading toward Stegogai in a wide arc. The Nomu doesn't have time to dodge it and finds his feet stuck.
"Really, A makeshift tar pit since I'm a dinosaur? Too bad for you. This dinosaur has a way to fight against it." Stegogai says as he slams his hands into the muddy water.
This causes ripples within it before it explodes and goes everywhere, freeing him. Deku stares in shock as that move has hardly failed him besides when Overdrive Nomu jumped over it.
"Surprised? We've studied your moves and worked out good ways to counter them. All for the glory of our revolution. You won't be able to beat me with your usual tactics. I can easily break out of any trap you set. Even if it's that weird ability where you petrify someone." Stegogai says while pointing toward Deku with a confident tone.
Hearing this causes Deku to tense up.
"Wait. If they've studied my moves, does that mean they studied Hikage's too?" He thinks, suddenly even more worried about his friend after he was taken away.
"You don't have time to be thinking about other things. Especially since I'm done playing around." Stegogai says before slamming his hand on the ground again and sending a wave of earth at Deku.
Seeing this causes Deku to jump to the side, but Stegogai already predicted that. He got on all fours and fired the top spikes on his back at the hero, hitting him in the arm and causing him to drop the Power Blade in pain. Stegogai follows this up by charging while still on all fours and slamming into Deku, sending him flying into another lamp post.
Deku groans as he gets up and reaches for another Power Coin to try something else. In desperation, he pulls out the Draco-Breath Power Coin and inserts it without realizing what it is.
"Dragonic Breath Power Finish!" The Hero Driver announces as the Mighty Knuckle is covered in flames while glowing orange as Deku charges at Stegogai.
He throws his fist forward, and Stegogai is sent staggering back from the impact while there are slight burns in a knuckle outline where he was punched. However, it doesn't look like he took any substantial damage.
"Now that had some sting to it. But it's not enough to get through my skin." Stegogai grunts before charging and trying to punch Deku.
Deku moves to the side, but Stegogai follows it up by spinning and slamming into Deku with his tail.
Deku manages to stay on his feet and reach into his holder for another Power Coin.
"Division Power Finish!" The Hero Driver shouts as Deku inserts the Division Power Coin.
"I haven't used this one yet." Deku thinks as he charges forward and throws another punch.
As the Mighty Knuckle soars toward Stegogai, energy fists suddenly appear around Deku's arm to launch multiple punches simultaneously, each with equal force to the last. The strength of these punches sends Stegogai flying into the ground and causes his scales to get stuck in the concrete.
"Damn it," Stegogai grunts as he tries to get up.
But he's positioned in a way that he can't reach the ground with his arms and legs that well. He can't put enough power into his attempts. Deku sees this and decides to try and finish things.
He pulls out the Rabbit Power Coin and inserts it into the Hero Driver instead of his weapon.
"RABBIT POWER FINISH!" The Hero Driver shouts as energy builds around Deku, and he charges forward.
He jumps into the air and tries to deliver a flying kick to the trapped Nomu. However, Stegogai suddenly rolls backward while his scales remain stuck in the ground. When Deku crashes into the ground, a small explosion and the earth around him is destroyed.
Unfortunately, it doesn't do much to Stegogai, and he takes advantage of Deku's opening to send another wave of earth at him and send him flying.
"I can't believe you fell for that. I told you, we studied all your moves." Stegogai laughs as he looks at the downed Kamen Rider.
Deku groans as Stegogai charges and tries to jump on him.
-------------------
With K.E.M. and Chamber, the two are having trouble dealing with Terra Swoop and each other. Chamber is being targeted after one of his bullets managed to hit her and her orders.
Currently, Chamber is trying to hit Terra Swoop with his wrist-mounted guns, but she is nimbly avoiding them with the ease of a hummingbird changing directions. Luckily, Chamber has started to adapt to her speed and is avoiding more of her strikes than before.
On the other hand, K.E.M. is trying to chase after her in the air but is getting hit by a few of Chamber's stray bullets for some reason. Needless to say, the two are starting to clash from their situation.
"Will you fucking quit shooting with the pea shooters! You're doing nothing helpful and getting in my way!" K.E.M. shouts at Chamber.
"Maybe if you would stop getting close to her, my bullets wouldn't be at risk of hitting you. I'm trying to figure out what she's doing!" Chamber shouts back with a bit of sharpness in his tone.
"It's obvious this bitch is manipulating your bullets! Quit making my job harder, Pompadour!" K.E.M. screams back as he tries to swipe at Terra Swoop, only for her to move out of the way.
Chamber grits his teeth but realizes that K.E.M. is right and decides to switch things around. He quickly grabs the Chameleon Power Coin and inserts it into his Hero Driver.
"You can't see me? Where am I? I'm on the wall! I've got you in my sights!" The Hero Driver shouts as smoke covers Chamber while he transforms.
"Kamen Rider Chamber!" It says with a tone of finality as Chamber switches forms.
Terra Swoop dives toward Chamber, but he vanishes before she hits him. As she's trying to gain altitude again, a whip suddenly wraps around her wing, and she's pulled toward the ground, causing her to skid across it from her previous momentum.
"You bastard!" Terra Swoop shouts as she gets up and instinctively looks around for the Kamen Rider that sent her crashing to the ground, only not to see him.
While she's doing that, the other Kamen Rider comes diving in and slams into her with a double palm-generated explosion that shakes the ground slightly. Seeing this causes Chamber to drop the camouflage a fair distance from the two as he waits for the smoke to clear.
However, Terra Swoop flies back into the air as if nothing happened, shocking the Kamen Riders.
Before she can see him from above, Chamber quickly camouflages himself again while K.E.M. chases after her. However, Chamber's action wasn't enough for him to completely escape her view. Having the features of a flying predator, her eyesight is enhanced exponentially. So she can distinguish the shifts in coloring and movement from Chamber's camouflage.
She charges at the area where she notices the shifting, and Chamber barely has time to jump over her attack. However, that doesn't stop him from getting hit by K.E.M., who chased after her. The impact causes Chamber to lose his camouflage while the two crash.
"Get off me," Chamber tells him as he kicks K.E.M. off him before needing to duck under another attack from Terra Swoop.
"Quit getting in the way!" K.E.M. shouts at Chamber, getting sick of the other Kamen Rider constantly messing him up.
"That was your fault. You're the one that keeps charging after someone you obviously can't catch!" Chamber shouts back at him.
"Like your fucking bullets are helping Pompadour. You've been hitting me more than you've been hitting Prehistoric Bitch!" K.E.M. screeches.
Terra Swoop sees their argument and secretly grins when she realizes the plan is working.
"Now for a quick disappearing act." Terra Swoop says before flying off at top speed before the Kamen Riders realize she's gone.
It takes longer than you should have for them to realize this. And when they do, K.E.M. pushes Chamber away while growling.
"This is your fucking fault, Pompadour! I could have handled that bastard without you! You and your worthless aim!" K.E.M. screams.
"My aim was fine. Whatever Quirks that Nomu had was the problem. And what about you? You uselessly chased after her when you couldn't catch her." Chamber tells him.
K.E.M. growls, but Chamber isn't done.
"Then again, that's all you can do, seeing as you don't bother collecting Power Coins like you're supposed to. Instead of keeping them on you just in case, you go out of your way to destroy them. So, you're nothing but a one-trick pony." Chamber tells him with an edge in his tone.
Hearing this causes K.E.M. to growl.
"At least I can make better fucking use of this stupid thing than you. You're nothing but a Quirkless reject who got lucky! If your grandfather weren't in such a high fucking position, no one would give a shit about you like Deku!" K.E.M. snaps at Chamber, causing the Kamen Rider to tighten his fist.
"I'm using the Hero Driver better than you. If I remember right, I almost beat you at the docks." Chamber snaps back, causing K.E.M. to growl.
"I didn't fucking lose to you!" K.E.M. snarls back before going for an explosive palm and sending Chamber flying to the ground.
Chamber has enough of K.E.M.'s attitude and launches his whip at the other Kamen Rider, sending him skidding back.
-------------------
Back with Deku. He's running from Stegogai and trying to reach the Plus Striker for extra help since Chamber hasn't returned and K.E.M. is nowhere to be seen.
"I need help to beat him." Deku thinks as he pulls the Unicorn Power Coin off the Plus Striker's Power Coin holder and inserts it.
The Plus Striker quickly turns into its mechanical animal form and throws Deku atop it before running from the charging Stegogai.
"Get back here!" Stegogai snaps at the Kamen Rider and steed before firing his scales at them.
However, the Plus Striker turns around and fires lightning bolts at the attacks, stopping them and causing them to fall harmlessly. It then takes it a step further by charging at Stegogai. As it does, Deku pulls out another Power Coin and inserts it into the Plus Striker.
"Overdrive Power Charge!" The Hero Driver announces as light blue energy surrounds the Plus Striker and its power and speed increase.
With the increased momentum, the Plus Striker tries to slam into Stegogai. However, the Nomu quickly uses his other ability to make a wave of earth rise between them to reduce the damage. The Plus Striker runs through it and slams into the Nomu, sending him flying but not turning him back to normal.
"Alright." Deku thinks happily, but before he can do anything else, he suddenly feels something slam into him and knock him off the Plus Striker.
He looks up to see what hit him and sees Terra Swoop staring down at him while holding a struggling Plus Striker.
"It's your turn to see what it's like to be hunted." Terra Swoop says excitedly as Stegogai stands up.
Deku looks between the two Nomu and backs away nervously while they close in on him. As he's getting cornered, he worries about what happened to Chamber while wondering what he'll do.

Coeden Onnen
A young maid in Bayard’s colours trips over her own feet, and her burden of cushions and blankets get hurled floorward. Merlin - feeling a camaraderie with anyone that clumsy - throws himself next to her immediately and tries to help her. Their hands cross over, grabbing for the same things, tugging them in opposite directions. Merlin isn’t helping at all. “Sorry,” the maid says, “I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean - oh -” “Hey, don’t worry about it,” Merlin says, passing a cushion with too much force and sending her pile of bedding toppling again. “Happens to me all the time. As you can see.” The maid laughs: it seems to catch her by surprise, and she glances up at Merlin, unsure of her own humour. He can’t help but laugh himself, giving her permission to find it all as funny as he does. She has a nice smile, he thinks. Kind. With a quickness that will later have him wondering, Merlin decides he likes her.
Chapter four is here, finally. I've had a bit of a break between the last chapter and this one, but we're back at it again just in time for Yuletide - and here, my special gift for you all:
UTHER Camelot welcomes you, Lord Bayard of Cair Lerion.
Cair Lerion, not Mercia. It's a bit of a petty change, I'll admit: it does nothing to change the story as of yet, if it ever will, and is purely for my own satisfaction. But it ties into my general disdain for the very English trappings of bbc merlin, which should have been Welsh, or at the very least more generally Brythonic.
I mean, Mercia is an Anglian kingdom, so even if I ignore the historical bits - it doesn't much matter when Mercia was founded (6th century) if the show only vaguely picks a time period (??14th???) - we're still left with the same problem that we had with Old English=magic.
No???? The Angles, Saxons and Jutes are the bad guys??? We can't just smack a Anglin kingdom down and declare it an ally of Camelot without doing some on-screen examination of that?
Which, ya know, the show didn't do. And I don't want to do either, tbh, though I'd bet for different reasons, so Mercia has to go. Instead, we get a taste of what was probably happening in Britain in the 5th and 6th centuries in real life: in the wake of the Roman ruling infrastructure collapsing, power would have disolved back to whatever locals were willing to take it. That might have meant wealthy elites, landlords, high-ranked soldiers or veterens - the possibilities are quite endless, and I've not picked one specifically for Bayard. What I have decided about him is that his ancestors were probably Gaels or Franks - Bayard is a very French name - and that he, or the founder of his line, chose an established location to rule over and from.
I think many people probably did, given the evidence we have of continued habitation in so many places. I picked Cair Lerion - Leicester - over others because it has a lovely Welsh name, and because it has more Roman associations over the Anglian associations places like Tamworth or Repton have. It's not too far from Camelot, either, in the version of Albion's geogeraphy I have in my head.
Put a pin in that geography bit - we'll be coming back to it later in the season.
Now, about Merlin and 'Cara'...
She has a nice smile, he thinks. Kind. With a quickness that will later have him wondering, Merlin decides he likes her.
Merlin's magic vibe sense has caught him out once again. There are a few things Merlin and his magic do in this chapter that I don't want to explain lest I spoil something for what's to come, but I did want to say this bit.
He looks. He sees - - through the water, their eyes meet - - she stumbles back from the font, shaken.
Merlin is getting a handle on some very specific parts of his gift, to Nimueh's detriment.

Livia smiled, fixing her hair after she got dressed. She walked down the hallway, meeting up with Malleus. "I got you tutors, come on"Malleus smiled. This was her duty from now on, being raised by Malleus since she was five gave her some insight on how a royal should act, being his heir and princess of this Valleys have her a lot of new responsibilities she was gonna try her best to keep up and follow. "Livia, meet your etiquettes teacher"Malleus smiled. Livia lifted her dress up, placing one foot behind the other as she bowed her head. "I am Princess Livia Vanrouge, it is an honor to meet you"Livia greeted. "Such great posture! A good introduction as well!"The pale blond haired woman beamed. "Your majesty, I am Silvia, I hope we can get along and have fun together"The woman smiled.
"This is your history tutor, Duke Nilo, he taught me when I was younger"Malleus smiled. "We'll see how smart she is"Duke Nilo scowled. "Do you know how many jaguars and Faes died during the Jaguar Revenge War?"Livia asked. "2,760 Jaguars died and 1,593 Faes died in that war"Duke Nilo says Malleus smirking when Livia smiled. "Actually sir the correct number is deaths is 3,570 for the jaguars and 750 for the Faes! The people who wrote the history book on the war tried to make it seem like it was more than that so everyone can fear Jaguars!"Livia corrects shocking the Duke. "My Daddy knows a lot of history and taught me the truth of it, did you know the famous Author that wrote the novel Moonlit Love was actually a Female Jaguar who spied on my Mother and Father, during their nightly meetups!"Livia went on.
Duke Nilo sputtered in shock, staring at her, seemingly impressed. "Everyone says the author was a male, but if you look closely at the bottom of the page you'll see a name there, the name Springlily, a female Jaguar who is also my auntie, she wrote the book about my parents love story which is how I know how they feel in love and had me!"Livia beamed. "Most impressive...I say Malleus, you've chosen a good heir despite her not being of Royal Blood"Duke Nilo smiled impressed. "Sir, correction again, I am of Royal Blood but not with Draconia blood, my Ancestor Queen Virda was the Queen of the Woodland Kingdom who is hidden away in a mysterious place, nobody knows where they are, after I was revived I chose to become a Fae Demon Jaguar, so I am now of Royal Blood"Livia giggled getting another impressed look from her history tutor.
"Looks like me and you are gonna have a lot of history talks, I would love to know more about the truth of our history"Duke Nilo smiled. "There will be time for that later, Livia you can go explore while I speak with your tutors"Malleus smiled. She nodded and left the room, walking down the hallway silently. She stopped, hearing a few maids talking among themselves while doing their work. "Malleus was wrong to chose that hybrid instead of having his own heir when he's an adult!" "Exactly, I'm so angry he chose that little brat!" "She's worse than her mother, Thea Vanrouge disgusts me, sleeping with the King of the Jaguars, then proceeding to sleep with the great Lilia Vanrouge, she's tainted the Vanrouge Bloodline, and they had that little devil spawn, nobody wants her around!" "Yeah!" "Exactly!"
Livia frowned, crossing her arms over her chest, wondering how she should go about this, then smirked and stepped out into view, her eyes starting to water as her smirk faded. "Y-You don't like me!"Livia says tears falling down her cheeks. "PRINCESS!!" She let out a hurt cry and covered her face, falling to her knees. "Livia!"Sebek gasped hurrying over. "Sis!"Shadow called following Sebek with Silver behind him. "They were speaking ill of me and Mom, calling me a devil's spawn!"Livia cried. Sebek and Silver looked at the maids, Shadow growling at them. The three led the maids away down the hallway, Livia giving them a small nod reassuring them that she'd be fine on her own. She got to her feet and frowned, wondering if that was how she should've went about it.
She sighed and walked away down the hall, her hair swaying behind hall. "Princess! Your highness, wait up!" Silvia ran over and beamed at Livia. "Come on, and lets get started!"Silvia smiled. "Yes ma'am"Livia nodded following her. She entered a large room, looking around silently. She blinked twice, Silvia placing three books on her head. "I'll be right behind you to catch you! Try walking, back straight and head forward!"Silvia smiled. Livia lifted her dress up as she walked, keeping straight forward, Silvia beaming looking proud. "Such great posture!"Silvia praised. "If you're pretending to be nice, you don't gotta, I know I'm terrible"Livia says. "Now who told you that!"Silvia demanded looking angry. "Mairons mother.."Livia says. Silvia took the books away and sat her down, talking about what happened.
Malleus sat in the library, silently reading a book. A puff of white smoke made him perk up, Livia appearing with her fathers old spell book in hand. "Oh sorry Mal Mal!"Livia says earning a small smile from him. She flipped the page and vanished again, causing him to chuckle in amusement, shaking his head. He looked back down at his book, until the white puff of smoke returned, Livia coughing. "Let me see"Malleus smiled amused as he walked over. He flipped through the book and handed it back to her. Livia snapped her fingers together and vanished, blue smoke bring left behind this time. He chuckled, waiting to see if she returned. Livia came back and kissed his cheek. "Thanks Malleus!"Livia says before vanishing again, blue smoke making him laugh. "It's a blast having her around"Malleus smiled.

A Mother's Wish
This past Mother's Day was the first one in my life that reminded me of more than the fact that I grew up without a mother. It reminded me of the fact that my children also grew up largely without their biological mother---me.
It's the strangest thing to realize you're a mother but have no memories of ever giving birth or arranging for surrogacy. All I could do while passing by the Mother's Day decorations was think of my children and how they're faring without me.
On the one hand I'm happy that I have children--that I'm not destined for childlessness as I was afraid I might be. But my children didn't get to enjoy all the mothering that I could've showered on them had I known they were mine or had been around them. Some of them I even had conversations with and never realized they were mine.
I remember meeting two teenagers on the train in Europe who told me I looked exactly like their biological mother. Then during church camp a sweet little girl told me that her mother was an excellent swimmer and used to swim with her, and she kept coralling me to swim with her. I couldn't figure out why she was so insistent until later when I realized the mother she was talking about may have been me.
Being a mother changes everything--even when you find out about your motherhood almost 30 years late. It changes how I look at myself and the world around me, and how I view my children who are growing up without me.
I wonder if they'll ever be saved. I wonder if I'll ever get to reunite with them again. I wish so much to be able to make up to them for all the years I couldn't be there for them. To tell them that if I truly had a choice, I would never be separated from them or be absent from their lives for a single moment. Or to force gender reassignment on them.
There are so many things about my life history I still need to piece together. The happiest and saddest discovery of my past was that I had children.
I want to see my children again but don't know how. How can we bridge the gap the years and deception have put between us? How can we stay safe from people who want to rip us apart and turn us against each other?
To take them swimming, cook them dinner, comfort them when they're feeling down, hold them, to talk to them and tell them the truth when all they've heard their whole lives were lies and deception--how I wish I could be with my children.
I miss my children so much and wish they could know that I pray for them everyday. I pray that we'll meet again and that our meeting will be sweet instead of sorrowful. I pray that they would find the courage to leave their sinful past behind and take refuge in the cross of Jesus Christ. That regardless of what the people around them may make them believe about their ability to be forgiven, they can be forgiven because Jesus took upon Himself all the payment for their sins, no matter how deep the sin.
I want to tell my children to see and understand the significance of the fact that God chose a descendant of a prostitute to become a surrogate father to His only begotten son, Jesus. Rahab was a prostitute who was saved from the massacre in her city when she hid the spies and asked them to save her and her family.
Like Abraham, her faith was reckoned to her as righteousness and God saved her and her family. He not only saved her, He chose her line to give birth to Joseph, the surrogate father of Jesus Christ, God's only begotten son.
If my children were here with me, I would point out this very significant fact to them---that God chose a reformed prostitute to become an ancestor of Jesus Christ. It shows His complete and total forgiveness of sins and declares that when He forgives, He forgives completely no matter the sin.
I wish I could tell my children that if God could justify Rahab, He could justify them. God's love and His forgiveness is complete.
There are so many questions about God's plans that I might never understand. But I know that He is good because of the work He's done in me and through me.
I am a better person for having known and having worshipped God. Through the cross of Jesus Christ, I can forgive those who've perpetrated against me. Christ gave me a place to offload all my hatred, rage, vengeance against the people who've harmed me in my past.
He is the One who gave me the inspiration to forgive when I never thought I could forgive, because I know that there is One who suffered greater injustice than I had suffered. Whenever the anger rises in me when some memory surfaces, I now have the freedom to give that anger to the cross.
Jesus gave me that freedom when He died for me and my sins. I think God knew that it would take a sacrifice that big to get us to forgive others as He commanded us to. That's why He did it.
I wish I could teach my children and help them to see the beauty of God's character and why His righteousness is what we all need more of in life. It's a righteousness worth dying and being martyred for--and if they could cast off their fear of death and martyrdom, Satan wouldn't have any more claims on them.
There are moments when I think of my past that I question why I'm here. So many questions left unanswered, and I'll never know the answers to them all. There's only one thing I know for sure: that God is good because through loving Him and abiding by His Word, I'm better able to love others.
Loving God changes us and makes us better able to love others. I cannot think of any other thing in life that can claim this!
I pray that God will change my children's hearts. That He will help them to cast off the chains of the devil and walk freely in the love of Jesus Christ.
I pray that He would reunite us and that our meeting will be full of joy as we cast off our sorrows. And that we would never be separated again.
This is my wish this Mother's Day.

When Luz and Hunter meet inner Belos in Hollow Mind, what if that mask child!Belos was wearing was part of a game him and his brother used to play (with Wittebro wearing some version of the golden guard's mask) and he just forever immortalized them when he took over as emperor. Also this has nothing to do with this, but do you think Luz will find out that Hunter is Belos' nephew because I don't think she knows?
OOO I’ve never thought about that. I absolutely hope that you turn out to be right, Anon, because that’s great material right there. The double combo of it being a metaphorical representation of Belos’ youthfulness already having seemingly innocent seeds, BUT ALSO with the emotional core of him constantly recreating the days of his youth with his only family. It just adds such an interesting layer to him that I don't think even he acknowledges or knows about- that while Philip hates his brother for whatever he did (going by the previously theorized timeline of Wittebro essentially leaving Philip and his corruptive nature for a witch), there's still a part of him that reminisces on the simpler times and wishes that they were still together. That his brother could simply wake up, and realize what he had done wrong- and come back to Philip's side, joining him in their (Philip's) vision. Very very interesting
Though if I'm being honest siblings playing witj one another with masks on just makes me think of fnaf and if that's not a red flag-
Interesting point with that second part as well, because (at least in my headcanon) the Golden Guard wasn't very well known outside of the Coven, pre-Season 2. Yes, Luz isn't the most reliable source since she's only been there a few months, but it's telling that she would be introduced to Lilith, the coven head, within the first 5 episodes yet never once hear about the Emperor's right-hand man. If it took her 3 months to even realize this guy existed, she definitely doesn't know about the nephew thing. I think it's likely that maybe Hunter will slip up and accidentally mention it, or we'll see a minor flashback with Belos and Hunter that reveals it.
And, while this doesn't go into what you brought up, I do have to wonder how this plays into the "predecessors" line that Darius mentioned- I think the clearest answer to that is that there were other experiments before Hunter that likely perished or were considered failures, but it's also a possibility that they wrote actual blood ancestors to Hunter. This would make Hunter an actual nephew of sorts to Belos- not sure how likely that theory is, but hey until HM comes out we can just spill all the dice.

We'll meet again...
(part 1)
A Tangled RP story.
Featuring Rapunzel, Eugene, Varian, Judy(OC of @punkydodd ) , Robert and Emeline (my OC's)
***************
One night when the wind was blowing hard and the rain smattered against the windows, Rapunzel and her friends was all curled up together at Xaviers, listening to one of his many legendary tales.
This one told about a ghost that could be seen in the castle once every hundred years, however his knowledge was not enough to know why the ghost was there, just that it was, and that the particular night of this 100th night was coming soon.
Rapunzel was determined to seek this ghost out and see it for herself, who of her friends would be brave enough to follow with?
No one knows what they would meet.
*******
A few days later, Rapunzel was in full work of setting her plan to action of how to capture the ghost that would be, according to legend, show up, this very night in the ballroom, or at least she wanted to see it and perhaps even talk to it.
"There, that sure is a yummy looking cake! I would like to see the ghost passing by that without stopping!"
She said and dusted off her hands with a big excited grin.
“Uhhh...I’m pretty sure ghosts don’t eat cake Rapunzel”
Varian’s voice came from behind her. He had stopped by to check on and tweak his hot water invention as well checking on his friends.
"Oh nonsense! Who doesn't eat cake ? That's just plain crazy-talk."
Rapunzel said with a happy smile.
“Well technically ghosts don’t have a physical form, you know, cause they’re kinda...dead”
Varian chuckled a little awkwardly and rubbed the back his neck.
“But, I’m sure it appreciates the thought!”
He said with a smile and gave Rapunzel a thumbs up.
“Varian is right Raps.” Judy spoke, holding her tambourine. “I am quite positive that the spirit will tell us how they can be at peace.” Odette let out a honk while sitting on top of Judy’s head,
"Oh...well...they might not eat the cake....but at least they can look at it...."
Rapunzel grinned wider.
"Eeeeeeeh I CAN'T WAIT!"
Rapunzel squealed, twirled around and bounced.
Eugene let out a smile and a small chuckle of this. There is just something about her that can brighten up anyone’s life, almost anyone.
“Yeah! But are you sure it’s friendly though?”
Varian asked, a little cautious.
“I mean we don’t know how or why it’s here, for all we know it could be a ancient spirit out for revenge or something”
"Oh....but I've dealt with ghosts before....remember Ruthless Ruth and Eugenes ancestors...that went well, right ?"
Rapunzel laughed a bit.
"If cake doesn't lure it, we always have Judys amazing singing, right ? Oh oh should we build a trap ? Just in case ?"
“A trap?” Judy blinked. “What kind of trap are you think of? Will it work on a spirit?” She tilt her head.
“If it doesn’t work, I have every guard guarding each entrance if things get out of hand.” Eugene added. He pointed to a dozen royal guards standing by any entrance to the ballroom.
“I could probably whip up something”
Varian spoke up and crossed his arms with a little smug smile.
“I mean not to brag but I’m pretty good at setting up traps”
“I’ll take the first watch Sunshine.” Eugene said. “You and the other rest for a while.” He smiled at Rapunzel and gave her a kiss on her forehead.
"Aaaw thank you Eugene~"
She replied and nuzzled him a little bit.
"Okay Varian, you think you have time to whip up a trap before dark ?" She then said as she walked out of the ballroom with him and Judy, Pascal sitting on her shoulder.
“Just leave it to me! Oh! I need to make plans! Ah, I’ll see you guys later!”
Varian exclaimed before rushing off to his lab to prepare for his future trap.
"Alright...let's get pillows and blankets out Judy....we need to pick a good place for our stakeout ..."
Rapunzel said, stretching a bit.
“You got it Raps.” Judy give a thumbs up. Odette honk in agreement while rubbing her eyes.
*********
A few hours later, everyone was gathered in the castle again, waiting and waiting for the ghost to show up.
Varian was setting up the last part of his trap.
“Aaaaand done! I think this the biggest trap I’ve made yet!”
He smiled and crossed his arms, pretty proud of himself.
Judy looked up at the trap Varian made. Odette let out a bewildered honk.
“Whoa, Varian you've outdone yourself.” Judy said, staring at the trap.
"I hope it works”
Varian said and corrected his goggles a bit, leaning against the wall. He was getting curious about the ghost and what it wanted, he kinda also wondered what it was made of, maybe if his trap worked he could get a sample to study.
“So? What can we do while we wait for the ghost to appear?” Judy asked. She sat down on the floor and have her legs crossed.
"I don't know? I'm way too excited to sleep..." Rapunzel said and sat down.
"Play cards maybe ?"
“Cards sound good”
Varian replied and plopped down on the floor crosslegged, he placed two fingers to his mouth and whistled, his trusty raccoon friend popping its head out his satchel that he had placed on the floor and brought over a little bag of ham sandwiches before climbing up on the boy’s shoulders.
“I brought some sandwiches incase we get hungry”
He said and petted Ruddiger on the head.
Judy smiled. “Thanks Varian.” Odette sat on Judy’s lap, curl herself in a white ball.
Eugene smiled at the three while he is standing by the wall and his hands behind his back.
The gang played and talked and ate, however slowly they started to get tired and fall asleep one by one.
An hour before midnight there was some eerily, yet enchanting music that started to play slowly, it sounded far away and yet close.
Smoke started to seep in from the outside and slowly taking the form of a young woman in the middle of the room, she was dressed in a black dress, clearly in the style of hundreds and hundreds of years ago, her skin was pale.
She seemed to be waiting for something, but what ?

"I think we should cancel the wedding, after all."
It's what Avery told V earlier that morning after rushing Nico to the hospital.
But, of course, the poet refused, telling them that Nico wouldn't want it to be cancelled. Therefore, he made a solemn vow to solve the mystery and drive out the evil spirit in their house as soon as he can. He even strictly instructed the couple to stay out of the house and wait for him to solve the case so nobody else could get hurt.
And a few hours later, he's back in the kitchen with his own familiars, reading and rereading (Y/N)'s journal, which manifested three months' worth of entries in a single day, as well as the strange writings on the photographs.
While (Y/N)'s entries on the diary itself bore the same stories of how she and Victor fell in love during those three months, the writings on the photograph were a different case entirely. Bearing messages like, I wish I'm with you right now, I wanted to see you so much, I wish we could read books together again, and Please, forgive me, V could not help but speculate that something happened between her and Victor that most probably tore them apart as lovers. And based on what he has seen the other night, with the way Victor and (Y/N) spent the evenings together? He actually came up with another speculation, a theory, suggesting another thing that could very well change the way Avery looked at her ancestor.
Oh, God, if it is true, then,...
"Young master, you should eat. Or you'll lose your vitality." Maria told him motherly as she patted his shoulder to get his attention.
V looked up from the photographs and saw the kind housekeeper offering him a plate of the most delicious - smelling cherry pie he has ever laid eyes on. "You and your grandchild should have stayed away from here just like your employer. Or you might get hurt."
"My grandchild?" Maria's eyebrows shot upwards at what V said, and when she realized who he was talking about, her face lit up with a smile and then slumped once more into her usual melancholic look. "Oh, that little boy! We're not related in any way." She told him as she placed the plate of pie on the table in front of him.
"If he's not, then,... ?"
"He was a lost little boy who couldn't get out." Maria vaguely confessed, giving V another issue to have a headache on. "Ever since then, he has stayed with us."
Us?
V sighed as he reluctantly took a slice of the pie. He took a bite, letting its wonderfully complimenting flavors explode in his mouth. Then, he took a few more bites, finishing the slice in less than a minute. Overall, it was a really fine meal. Avery really was lucky to have her as a helper,...
"You have not answered my question." V told her a few moments later, almost forgetting it because of the amazing pie. "Why did you choose to stay here despite the danger that is lurking in this place?"
To this, Maria only smiled as he offered him a glass of warm milk. "I have a duty to fulfill to the young lady. I can't leave until it is resolved."
"I see." V replied as he watched her take a seat on the chair next to him, just like on the first day he met her.
Maria nodded, then, all of a sudden, her mud - colored eyes widened as she stopped moving. "And I almost forgot!" She exclaimed as she fished out something from her pocket. She held it out to V. "I think you dropped this last night."
"I'm sorry - ?" Confused, V looked at the slightly crumpled noted in his grasp. He carefully unfolded it and revealed the message in it.
July 27, 1898
My dearest and humblest poet, Victor,
I will never forget the very first time we met. You kneeled before me, took my hand, then you kissed it, reciting to me a very sweet poem as you looked into my eyes.
I will never forget the days after that, of our little talks, of our how are yous and how's your days, of the way we embarrass each other when we caught ourselves looking into each other.
I will never forget the first time I sang for you as you played the piano, of the sweet melody that conveyed how I felt towards you. I will never forget the days, and nights, we read poetry together. I will never forget those mornings we have to sneak away from father to have little chats and laughs in the garden.
And most importantly, I will never forget those nights we wrote to each other and passed those notes through that crack in the door as you sat just outside my room while I waited on the other side.
Such little trivial things that other women might have done for you that I will always remember. You may forget me in the future when you meet others more memorable than I' am. You may tell them amazing stories as you did for me. You may find other reasons to laugh and smile with another as you have laughed and smiled with me. You may play the piano for another belle who would sing willingly for you. You may find more pleasure reciting and reading poetry for someone else. You may call another your "Little Wanderer", "Evening Star", "Beloved Muse", "Little, Innocent One", and "Little Lamb".
And most importantly, you may exchange little notes in the middle of the night with someone else.
All of these may happen when you finally meet the one for you, and you may fall for them just as easily as I have fallen for you.
I'm aware of all these things. How could they not love you? How could anyone not offer their heart to you?
We will part ways within a month, maybe a week, as my father has decided to enroll me in a boarding school in Paris. But, I want you to know how honored I' am to have met you. Of how grateful I' am when you indulged my foolish fantasies.
Of how thankful I' am that, in a very short time, you have made my dull and unhappy life meaningful and filled with hope.
Please, don't forget me, my dear, humble poet, and of those times we spent time together.
I will cherish those moments for as long as I live.
I will never forget May 11. I will never forget I have met the most wonderful man in the whole wide world.
I will never forget you for as long as live, V.
Yours truly,
(Y/N), your Little Wanderer, Evening Star, Beloved Muse, Little, Innocent One, and Little Lamb.
P.S.
I Love You
This letter,...
The one she gave Victor that night before she lost her innocence to him,...
It's the same one! It's -
"Such a curious little thing." V heard Maria say. He looked up and saw her holding his metal cane in her trembling, old, wrinkled hands.
"Maria, give me my cane back." V told her as he stood up, holding out his hand to her.
But, Maria wasn't listening to him. "To have witnessed such happiness, such tragedy,... such unspeakable horror. No wonder it draws out equally unspeakable powers of its own." She, then, looked at him and pointed the tip of his cane at him. "No wonder it has awakened the past." After a few tensed seconds, she finally gave the cane back to V and took the empty plate on the table. And before leaving, she looked at him one more time and spoke, "I think you should stop dwelling on the upper floors and explore other places here. You may find something worthwhile." And with a smile that truly unnerved him after those very vague words, she finally left him.
Her gentle, and yet sick, smile was still on V's mind as he walked around the very quiet ground floor that evening. Despite Maria's weird statements and his growing suspicion of her, he trusted her. After all, she's the one who gave him a clue regarding the second floor and the one who pulled him out of the vision last night.
And now, V was wondering whether he would actually see something on the ground floor -
He almost got a panic attack as he turned to his right and saw Doctor Christopher Lancaster's live - size portrait once more. But, compared to the time he first saw it that morning, the doctor's features somehow looked more sinister and intimidating now. His eyes looked realistically wider and more bloodshot, and the creases and veins in his face looked embossed from the painting, that if he so much as put one finger on it, he would definitely feel the warm blood rushing through it -
V was taken aback as the doctor's eyes unmistakably landed on him. And what startled him even more was when the doctor in the painting turned towards him and stepped out of the rectangular frame, leaving only the empty canvass where he formerly stood. The doctor strode with much resolute steps and easily went through V like he was smoke, feeling the freezing cold that emanated from him from his instant contact with him. He turned and saw the doctor discreetly making his way to the second floor.
V followed suit, and when he caught up with Lancaster, he saw Victor embracing (Y/N) as she cried, his hands going up and down her back to comfort her.
"Sshh, it's alright. I'm here. I will never leave you." Victor whispered to her. V turned to his right and saw Lancaster hiding just in time behind one of the pillars. He was eavesdropping. But, why?
"Father will take me away! He doesn't want me to be with you! He thinks you're too poor to marry me. He - "
"Sshh, now, now,..." Victor gently hummed as he cupped her cheeks and brushed her tears away with his thumbs. "Did I not promise you to give you everything in the world? Now, do you trust me?"
(Y/N) nodded as she laid her hands on his, feeling their warmth and drawing out the energy she needed from them to prevent herself from collapsing.
"Well, then, let us run away from here! Go with me to England, start a family of our own away from these aristocrats!"
"What if father finds out? He will have you thrown in a cell! And worse!"
Victor wrapped her in his arms and held her very close to his heart. "I will die before anyone could lay a single finger on you. This may sound unbelievable but, I have strong connections in Europe. Once we get there, no one here in America would be able to go after us."
"And what about the others? And Daniella?"
"We'll inform them beforehand so they could escape. I'll keep you and the others safe, I promise."
(Y/N) nodded once more as she and him shared a passionate kiss. V looked away just in time when Lancaster narrowed his eyes at the lovers planning their elopement. And when their lips parted, he cupped her cheeks once more.
"Let me know as soon as you have made your decision. I will contact my brother to prepare everything for us. Understood?"
"Yes, V."
"I love you, (Y/N)."
"I love you, V."
"You should take a rest, for now, the moon claims you.”
She nodded and after one final kiss, the lovers parted for the evening.
And so did the doctor.
V swiftly followed after him as he made his way back to the ground floor towards the drawing room where several men were having a conversation. The doctor cleared his throat and caught the attention of the gentlemen.
"What brings you here in this ungodly hour, Lord Lancaster?" The oldest of the gentlemen questioned.
"Your daughter, Lord (L/N)."
The gentleman Lancaster referred to as Lord (L/N) sat up straight and regarded him more seriously now.
"And what about my only beloved daughter, (Y/N)?"
"The impoverished poet is planning to take her away to England. He claims that he has powerful connections there and that he would kill you if you so ever lay a finger on your daughter."
"My God!" Lord (L/N) exclaimed. "I never expected to have a murderer under my roof! Let alone someone as deceitful as Victor Blake!" He thundered, bringing down his fist against the glass top table that trembled beneath his wrath.
Lancaster came forward and went on with his lies even further. "Victor Blake is a traitor, a madman, and, as you have surmised, a murderer. And as we speak, he is shamefully having his way with the pure and innocent (Y/N). He will use her over and over again, and when she's worn out and he has finally become tired of her, he will toss her aside like garbage in the fires of Gehena and look for a new victim."
"And you have proof of this?"
"I do. Roselle?" Lancaster called and a few seconds later, a petite blonde maid stepped forward and curtsied before the gentlemen.
The blonde woman in white,...
The gentlemen's eyes widened as she undressed before them and showed them multiple wounds and bite marks all over her body. There were some ugly bruises on her thighs which looked like they were caused by a blow of a really hard object.
Was it,... from the cane? But, no! It can't be! This is impossible! Victor will never do something like this! He - !
"Victor Blake did this?!" (Y/N)'s father bellowed as the frightened maid put her clothes back on.
The maid didn't say a word and only nodded as her own shame made the tears fall from her tired eyes. Lancaster dismissed her and turned once more to the gentlemen, especially the Lord of the house.
"I beg you before anything like that happens to sweet (Y/N)." Lancaster pleaded. "Allow me to marry her, and then I will protect her. I give you my word as an honorable gentleman."
Not even a few seconds have passed when the oblivious father nodded. "Very well. Then, you shall have my daughter's hand in marriage, Lord Lancaster."
V's eyes widened as the things unfolded right before his very eyes. He closed his eyes and suddenly, he found himself standing amongst the small crowd in the entrance hall of the mansion. The Lord of the house was standing in the grand staircase, and as he loudly cleared his throat, successfully calling the attention of his very few guests, he raised a glass of wine and smiled at them.
"For this evening, we shall all celebrate! As our little summer gathering comes to a close, allow me to partake with you of a very wonderful announcement that would put a smile on your face for many years. Doctor, would you kindly do the honors?" Lancaster came forward, joining Lord (L/N).
The doctor looked at the guests before him, his sinister eyes purposefully lingering at Victor and (Y/N) who were blissfully whispering things to each other, laughing and not paying any attention to him or the Lord of the house.
He, then, smiled, just as V's eyes narrowed and his eyebrows furrowed in anger of the manipulative man.
"As you wish, my Lord. And I will not falter. It is of great honor to announce that my beloved (Y/N) has agreed to finally join me in the altar to proclaim our wedding vows."
To this, the smile on Victor's lips vanished, and there was a look of utter shock in (Y/N)'s face. He dropped her hand, feeling the intensity of her supposed betrayal come down upon him like a rocky landslide.
"(Y/N)," Victor breathed in disbelief. " ... why?!"
"A cheers for the newly engaged!" Lord (L/N) announced, finally downing his wine as the others followed suit.
And right then and there, as the last drop of wine made contact with the greedy Lord's lips, he convulsed, collapsing on the stairs and dying in an instant, foam coming out of his opened mouth.
"Father!" (Y/N) called, unable to believe the chain of unlucky events that were crashing down upon her.
As everyone in the room shrieked and panicked, V's surroundings changed once more and he was transported to another room where (Y/N) was talking to the maidservant named Roselle. She and her personal maidservant were both wearing black.
"Roselle, I order you! Tell me what truly happened! Please!" (Y/N) pleaded, her eyes red and worn out due to the many tears she has shed. For her father who mysteriously died of poisoning, and Victor, who was still furious with her.
The poor blonde maid, now with more wounds on her face than ever, cried before (Y/N). "It's Lord Lancaster! He forced me to lie about young master Victor so your father would agree to have the doctor married to you!"
"Why?! Why didn't you tell me about all this?!"
"He threatened to kill me and my family!" Roselle kneeled in front of (Y/N) and clutched at the lacey helm of her black skirt. "Forgive me, my lady, please!"
"YOU, BITCH!"
V heard a furious howl from a distance at the same time the atmosphere around him changed. And as he opened his eyes, he saw several men in white taking away a body covered in a white blanket. It was lying in a stretcher, blonde hair coming out of the thin sheet.
Then, V saw (Y/N) reel in with pain, her face contorting in sheer torture. She held her stomach and kept one hand on her mouth as she ran away from the scene.
And before he could even catch up to her, the atmosphere changed once more, and he saw Daniella and Victor facing (Y/N) in another room.
With a black lace veil covering her face, she turned towards the two most precious people in her life and smiled at them.
"(Y/N), tell me you're lying!" Daniella begged her friend. "Tell me you won't marry that Lancaster! He has a reputation and,… he will kill you!”
"I have made up my mind. I will marry Christopher Lancaster." (Y/N) told them without so much as a pause or a tremble in her voice.
This made Victor inhale sharply as he turned on his heel and walked away from (Y/N) and Daniella. Not a minute has passed when (Y/N) went after him and called his name.
"Victor, please!" She begged as she collapsed on the floor and took hold of his cane.
"PLEASE, WHAT?!" Victor looked down at her, hurt and anguished beyond possibilities. "WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME, (Y/N)?! WHAT IS IT?!"
"Listen to me! Please!" The girl pleaded as she cried and clung to his cane. "Let me explain! I - "
"SHUT UP!"
And then, the unmistakable happened: as Victor forcefully pulled the cane from (Y/N)'s grasp, it hit her face, making her fall sideways and hit her head quite badly.
And as her maidservant came to her, helping her on her feet as she wiped the blood off her nose, Victor left her there.
And (Y/N)? She cried and called him over and over again, begging him to not leave her.
But, he still left.
He left her.
"MR. V!"
He heard a familiar voice from a distance. And when he opened his eyes, he found Roman staring worriedly down at him. He sat up, his eyes stinging, his chest feeling heavy.
"Mr. V, are you okay?" Roman asked him as he and Griffon helped him.
"It's him." V whispered, feeling the pain in his chest increase.
"Who?"
The poet clutched at his chest, feeling his own tears come down his face at what he just witnessed. He looked at Roman and Griffon, and with an anguished voice, he spoke,
"It's Christopher Lancaster. He was the one,... behind (Y/N)'s suffering. And Victor,” V inhaled deeply as he clutched at the metal cane in his hand, his anger overwhelming him and taking over what’s left of his sensible reasoning as he began seeing red in utter madness and hatred. “He,… DID NOT LISTEN TO HER! HE,… LEFT HER!”
