There is a Korean romance movie called 연애의 온도 (Very Ordinary Couple), which is about a couple who broke up after a three-year secret relationship. 琅琊榜 Nirvana in Fire - if you want the same but in a serious revenge arc and side of a badass lady working her way to the emperor's bedroom

天下长河 天下長河 The Long River - HISTORY historical drama about the emperor that decides to take flood management of the yellow river as his special project

Kdramas

재벌집 막내아들 Reborn Rich - family and succession/inheritence

머니게임 Money Game (2020) - economics, monetary management, financial commission, banking politics and differing monetary philosophies

하얀 거탑 Behind the White Tower (2007) - medical/hospital succession politics remade from the Japanese drama starring Kimura Takuya

60일 – 지정생존자 Designated Survivor 60 Days - Korean version of US drama Designated Survivor. Starts slow but really picks up about 3-5 episodes in. Fantastic kingmaker shit from Son Seokoo

비밀의 숲 Secret Forest/Stranger (1 and 2) - arguably a low key cop thriller, but set against a backdrop of police office politics and philosophical differences

스토브리그 Stove League - same vibe as a japanese anime where a hyper competent guy shows up to do a thing where no one trusts him and he has to maneuver against many opposing forces

Western drama

The West Wing - a kind of modern fantasy where politicians from all sides of the political spectrum actually care about the ppl they're governing - I remember a bts where they talked about the moving camera they stuck on some sort of trolley or chair was a game changer for extended long hallway walk-and-talk scenes bc they could turn corners at the same speed and the camera wouldn't shake
