Dragon King – the god of water and dragons in Chinese mythology

Many dragons appear in Chinese folklore, of which the Dragon King is the leader. Also known as the Dragon God, the Dragon King is a prominent figure in Chinese art and religion. He is adopted by both Taoism and Buddhism and is the ruler of all water. Known as Long Wang in China, he has both human and dragon forms and can switch between dragon and human forms. Despite his intimidating and ferocious nature, Long Wan is regarded as a benevolent deity who brings good luck and chi energy to people living near the sea.

The Dragon King is a Chinese water and weather god. He is regarded as the dispenser of rain, commanding over all bodies of water. He is the collective personification of the ancient concept of the lóng in Chinese culture.

In East Asian cultures, dragons are most often shown as large, colorful snakelike creatures. While the dragons sometimes have qualities of a turtle or fish, they are most likely seen as enormous serpents.

While some named dragons are associated with specific colors, the dragon king can be shown in any shade. Like other Chinese dragons, he has a “horse-like” head, sharp horns and claws, and a hair-like beard.

Like many weather gods around the world, Long Wang was known for his fierce temper. It was said that he was so ferocious and uncontrollable that only the Jade Emperor, the supreme deity in Chinese Taoism, could command him. His human form reflects this ferocity. He is shown as a noble warrior in elaborate bright red robes. He usually has a fierce expression and poses with a sword.

During the Tang dynasty, the Dragon King was also associated with the worship of landowners and was seen as a guardian deity to protect homes and subdue tombs. Buddhist rain-making rituals were learnt in Tang dynasty China. The concept was introduced to Japan with esoteric Buddhism and was also practised as a ritual of the Yin-Yang path (Onmyōdō) in the Heian period.

龍王 〜 中国神話の水と龍の神 

中国の民間伝承には多くのドラゴンが登場するが、龍王はそのリーダーである。龍神としても知られる龍王は、中国の芸術と宗教において著名な人物である。道教と仏教の双方に採用され、すべての水の支配者である。中国ではロンワンと呼ばれ、人間の姿と龍の姿の両方を持っており、ドラゴンと人間の姿を行き来することができる。その威圧的で獰猛な性格にもかかわらず、ロン・ワンは海の近くに住む人々に幸運と気のエネルギーをもたらす慈悲深い神とみなされている。

現像が追いつかないので昔の写真

最近、映画やドラマの時代設定で80〜90年代、もしくは2000年前後の作品を見かけることが多くなった。昭和から平成の30〜40年代、また2000年前後生まれの20代がターゲットの中心になっているからだろう。この前観た韓国ドラマではポケベルから現代スマホまでを駆け抜けたわけだが、ポケベルのもどかしさ、公衆電話から掛け直すシーンなどは何とも懐古的に映っていた。またサスペンスなどではスマホの位置追跡情報、レコーダー機能、カメラ機能がストーリーの広がりを狭めてしまうためスマホのない時代を選ぶとも聞いたことがある。何でも録画録音して証拠を残せるし、犯人が逃げてもすぐに捕まってしまっては味気ないからね（エンタメとしては）。まぁでもまた数十年経てば、スマホが懐かしい時代になるのかもしれんし、その時代に生きてるか分からんけどそうなったときに何を感じるかはまた再考してみるかね。

SUZUKI JIMNY XL JB64-3(2023)

貰い物ムーブ、中古アルトときて、3台目のマイカーは新車となりました。前の2台と違って「欲しくて選んだ車」です。 平成30年に走行5,000km弱で購入したアルトに乗って約4年。2回目の車検を終えた2022年3月、走行距離は7万kmまで伸びていました。 まだまだ乗れそうではありましたが、ちょっとしたトラブルが発生し、次の車検（2024年3月）にはそこそこ費用が掛かりそうな気配。

そもそも2018年の3月にアルトを買って、その数ヶ月後に登場したのがこの車です。当時の投稿にもありますが、僕がその時の車に求めていた条件が『MTで自転車が積める軽四駆』でしたので、この数年間で増えていくJB64を指をくわえて眺めていました。

今は少し落ち着いたようですが、当時JB64/74は納期がかなり長く、乗り換えを決意し、注文したのが2022年の6月で、納車されたのは15ヶ月後の2023年9月でした。その間にマイチェンで2型から3型になり、余計な機能がスズキセーフティサポートやアイドリングストップが標準装備となり値上がりしました。 注文時に宣告された納期ぴったりでしたので、そこまで"長かった"という印象はありませんでした。

JB64には3つのグレードがありますが、今回選んだのは”XL”、松竹梅でいうところの竹です。 ドアバイザー、フロアマット、ETC車載機と最低限の物に加え、奮発してグリルをオプションとして付けました。

その他のパーツは別途購入し、ちまちまと自分で取り付けました。

ペダルはAPIO製に

カーナビは不要なのでディスプレイオーディオを導入しました

ドラレコは気合を入れて配線

ターボ車に乗る機会があれば付けたかったブースト計。OBD2で水温とかも取れるやつ

3型からMTでも標準になったアイドリングストップのキャンセラー

JAOSのマッドフラップやYAKIMAのサイクルラックを取り付けています。

その他にも細々としたものがついていますが割愛。人気車種だけあってアフターパーツが豊富でついつい買ってしまいます。

純正の鉄チンホイールとタイヤは早々に脱ぎ捨て、夏はメーカー不明のメッキびかびかホイールに定番の��ープンカントリーR/T、冬はJB23のホイールにTOYOオブザーブW/T-R、どちらも純正の175/85からワンサイズアップの185/85となり、引き締まった見た目です。冬タイヤ以外は中古ですが。

車が必須な地域で暮らしているので、車を趣味にするのは遥か昔に諦めたつもりでいましたが、すでに結構お金かけちゃってますね。

納車から半年ちょっとで10,000km走りましたが、いい車です。 自転車を積んで車中泊も余裕でこなせます。

リジットアクスルなので決して乗り心地が良いとは言えないのでしょうが、今まで乗ってきた車たちに比べればマシです。 他にも不満がないわけではありませんが、そのすべてを打ち消すくらいに見た目が良い。写真映りが抜群に良い。

移動すること自体も目的になる、頼もしい子です。

Takano once said he purposefully avoid "girl speech" like that for Himeno (231105 ep35.5 space 36:38) because Himeno is not that kind of character and he felt that speech pattern has fell out of date with today's young girls, plus Erica herself brings enough of the princess aura the ojousama speech is unnecessary.

It's not the first time the manga feels one one foot out of in-character circle. I can forgive it since the manga's timeline is at an early stage. It's a minor nusiance in the grand scheme of things, but I hope Takamina really did get to oversee this.

As a big book lover, there are a lot of books in his university office. But because he never tidies the books away, the room is getting messier and messier.

Even Luke is dumbfounded that pieces from the investigation haven’t been tidied up.

Outstanding Athleticism!

Unlike most professors, he has an outstanding athletic ability. Here he sword fights his arch-enemy Descole, where he shows the full extent of his abilities. It is all thanks to high school fencing practise.

The scene shows him duel-wielding using a broken pipe.

He also rides a hand glider skilfully. He is very good with all kinds of vehicles.

横浜アメリカ山公園のあじさい

ピンクのアメリカ紫陽花です。横浜のアメリカ山公園に咲いてました。

ドライフラワーにしても、綺麗かもしれませんね。

横浜アメリカ山公園は、山手町にあります。JR線の石川町駅エリアになりますが、最寄りは、みなとみらい線の元町中華街駅です。

↓の記事にも書きましたが、

横浜の中でも観光客が多く、賑やかなのは、JR線では横浜駅、桜木町駅、関内駅、石川町駅付近になります。

横浜駅は、他府県からのアクセスにも便利な横浜中心の駅です。

桜木町は、みなとみらいがあるので新しい横浜、石川町は西洋館などがあるので古い横浜を楽しめます。

真ん中にはさまってる関内は、ディープな街でありながらも、横浜スタジアムがあるのでベイスターズの活気が感じられる街でもあります。

四つの駅はそんなに離れていないのに、各駅付近の雰囲気がガラッと変わるのが横浜の面白いところでもあります。

日本には、横浜の他にも神戸や長崎、函館などの港町がありますが、横浜はやっぱりちょっと独特な空気があり、私はそれが好きです。

あと、芸術や芸事が根付いている街でもありますから、街の空気や人も好きで、ノリが合います。

アートや音楽、ダンスだけではなく、大道芸や落語、能楽なども盛んです。

Legends of the humanoids

Intro

Lately, I've been into qigong exercises. This is because during the winter months, the whole body gets cold - muscles, ligaments and even internal organs - and I find that qigong, which stretches with more help of breathing and gravity, is safer than yoga stretching.

There are many common movements in the ancient Indian tradition of yoga, as well as in the ancient Chinese traditions of qigong and tai chi, and those who have been pursuing yoga for many years, or vice versa, may find it easier to switch between the two. And it seems possible that originally it was the same method that humans learnt from higher beings thousands or tens of thousands of years ago.

Common to both is that many of the forms are named after and imitate animals, mountains, flowers and other creatures in nature, such as trees. Not only that, but even in kung fu, karate and other martial arts, ancient people must have worshipped and respected the Nature and non-human creatures far more than modern people, as they compared them to animals and other forms of nature when they performed miracle-class strength.

Of more interest in ancient folklore are humanoids, including human-animal hybrids and human-animal chimeras, as well as cryptids, which are animals that they believe may exist somewhere in the wild. Why are there so many humanoids being talked about, not only in myth and folklore, but also in S.F. and fantasy novels?

Let's take a look at some of the most enigmatic and legendary creatures whose current existence is either scientifically questionable or unfounded.

伝説のヒューマノイドたち

はじめに

最近、すっかり気功にハマっている。というのも、冬場は筋膜、筋肉、靭帯、内臓まで全身が冷えるので、呼吸と重力の力をもっと借りてストレッチする気功は、ヨガのストレッチよりも安全だと感じるからだ。

古代インドの伝統であるヨガにも、古代中国の伝統である気功や太極拳にも、共通する動きがたくさんあり、長年ヨガを追求してきた人、あるいはその逆の人たちは、両者の切り替えが楽だと感じるかもしれない。そして、もともとは人類が何千年、何万年も前に高次の存在から学んだのと同じ方法だった可能性もありそうだ。

両者に共通するのは、型の多くが動物、昆虫、山、花や木など自然界に存在するその他の生物の名称が付いており、模倣されていることだ。それだけでなく、カンフーや空手などの武道においても、古代の人々は奇跡的な強さを発揮する際に動物や自然界の姿に例えるなど、現代人よりもはるかに自然や人間以外の生き物を崇拝し、尊敬していたに違いない。

古代からの伝承において、もっと興味深いのは、ヒトと動物のハイブリッドや、ヒトと動物のキメラを含むヒューマノイド、また野生のどこかに存在するかもしれないと信じている動物である未確認生物などの存在だ。神話や民間伝承だけでなく、S.F.やファンタジーの世界でも、なぜこれほど多くのヒューマノイドが語り継がれているのか？

ここでは、現在のところ科学的にその存在が疑問視されているか、あるいは根拠がない、最も謎めいた伝説上の生物をいくつか見てみよう。
